“Meet up with your tutors and receive your assignments. This will count toward you earning a Bounty Hunter license, however, it will not be easy. You must be prepared to bring your existing skills to bear if you are to prove to us you can handle it. Best of luck and do not disappoint us.”

Revolution Day Speeches, Part Two
Damien Styles: Union President, Resource Workers United
Styles walked up to the podium and held his baseball cap up in the air, flashing the bold red letters to the camera. Most knew the routine by now. “See this hat? What does it say!?”
“It says BOSS!” The Union workers in the crowd roared.
“What does it mean!?”
“It means you’re in charge!”
He puts the hat back on his head. “Damn right it does. I won’t worry about any other introductions. You pay your utilities; you know who I am- you’re welcome. You already know about what we’ve been doing last year. This year, I want to bring up something.”
“We still don’t have Hades yet. Believe me, I’m upset too. No empty promises from me, people- we’re getting serious now. The avalanche that hit Yard 6 over the winter came out of nowhere and our mining head just finished his survey. That thing was triggered. No points for guessing who.” He waits for the murmuring in the crowd to stop. When it didn’t, he held his hand up to the mircophone and the magnetic feedback caused a harsh shriek. “CALM DOWN! You’re talking to professionals here! I already have a plan. My promise this year is to make absolutely sure we don’t see that shit again. The Union is going to be having a trip up into the mountains to see what else we can find. We’ll be taking volunteers but ONLY the ones who make the cut. If you can’t handle the cold, don’t show up. If you can’t handle the mountains, don’t show up. If you’re afraid the dark, heights, or tight spaces, don’t show up. If you think this is going to be easy, don’t show up. If you think you’ve got what it takes, talk to Axton Walsh as soon as possible. We’re leaving no stone unturned and paying that bastard back for every life he stole. Styles out.”

Lucianna Markella: High Priestess of the Consecration of Creation
“Creation bless you all this Revolution Day.” The High Priestess was looking slightly disoriented from being that close to Styles’ magnetic shenanigans but was shaking it off well enough even after taking a moment to hold her head under her large mitre. “As you know, the tragedy that befell Smokey Gardens fell to the rest of the city to come together and help our fellow man. Truly, we were being smiled on that day. The Church can offer little in the ways of material comforts, but we keep the soul of this city alive. To that end, I would like to thank the rest of the council for helping with a grand new project. Mayor Lowell will tell you all about it. Rest assured our acolytes and priests are working tirelessly to aid the efforts. As ever, the Consecration’s doors are open to all who seek comfort and guidance without the need for membership or the pressure to purchase anything. We hope to continue to set a shining example moving forward.”

“Greetings. Last year’s financing of incoming foreign business has shown quite a lot of success despite some... difficulties at several of the events. However, I can assure you that the matters are still being looked into and I would like to personally extend my thanks to all the bounty hunters who helped prevent catastrophe at last year’s charity gathering. In light of this, I have extended a sizable portion of funding to a introductory training program for up and coming bounty hunters taught by some of the best in the field. As a former bounty hunter myself, I will be among those who will take on a small handful of students personally. As you know, I have always valued the potential of the next generation. This will come at no charge to you, but do understand that the slots will be few and quite in demand. We cannot guarantee entry for everyone. Please, send your inquiries to my business office.”

Flavian Lowell: Mayor of Apricus City
“Let’s hear it for the council, ladies and gentlemen!” The Mayor waited for any possible applause to die down. “Now I’m sure you’re all ready to get on with the rest of the festivities but we have one more announcement to make! As you may have seen there’s a new building being constructed in Capitol Square, right next to the main rail station. That, my good people, is an answer to the natural disasters that have hit us so recently. Every single member of the council pitched in to make it happen. May I present the opening of the Apricus City Home of Rebuilding- a council-funded shelter for victims of tragedy. Here people can stay in a safe place while they find new homes, jobs, or a place to rest should the unthinkable befall them or their loved ones. We hope to expand this to other public service as well. That said! The city is looking for volunteers and the council’s various organizations are hiring to manage its various aspects. Remember, this will be run largely by donation and while the council has pitched a substantial amount, we will be giving you, the people, and opportunity to also contribute. For any amount you donate to the shelter, you’ll receive some discounts and coupons for multiple businesses who have contributed. We hope this becomes a major stepping stone in helping our fellow citizens.
“Words cannot adequately describe how proud I am of every single one of you. It is the privilege of a lifetime to be your mayor. Now let’s ring in this Revolution Day!”

Apricus Council:
Tiberius Ciar. "Despite being considerably older now and having handed over most of his corporate duties to his daughter Andrasta, Tiberius maintains his council position."
Onyx Cheshire. "Onyx has taken over council duties from his father Tyrael. Don't think Tyrael has fully stepped aside though, he still finds time to continue running Cheshire Financial."
Molly Bell. "Darcie and Clovis have retired and spend most of their time relaxing. Molly has taken over her mother's spot on the council as well as being the current head of the Cherry Hills HOA."
Miranda Fisher. "Commander Fisher still maintains her council position but has spoken recently about retiring from the PWSB fairly soon. She has announced her successor, Jae Aryl."
Shani Menril. "The successor to Kyril Xanthos, and the current Dean of Apricus University. Shani didn't exactly ask for the position but was clearly the most qualified for it."
Kei Kawakami. "Hector Larsen still heads the Mariner Services but long ago stepped aside from the Navy and promoted Kawakami. Kei now leads the Apricus Navy and is a long time council member."
Auburn. "Lord Merek still makes appearances, and releases new books but has turned over his leadership position to Auburn. Despite a rocky start she has proven to be a good leader and competent council member."
Sapir Antiny. "The current High Priestess of the Consecration. An obvious choice after Lucianna stepped down. Sapir is almost always seen with her translator and close friend Violet Goodfellow. As you would imagine, Violet attends all council meetings with Sapir."
Lapis Hamelin. "You didn't expect President Styles to fully retire did you? Of course not. You can still find him running union activity out in Smokey Gardens. He has however passed his council position on to Lapis. Styles claims he never liked being on the council in the first place."
Mayor ?????? "I can't give away everything now can I? You'll just have to wait to see who got the job."

“Here’s the list of high priority bounties for this week, in case any of them catch your fancy.” The assistant passed her tablet over to the bounty hunter with a pleasant smile.
“A’ight, let’s see what we got.” Lily looked over the list, brow furrowing at each name. “The First Templar, Cheshire, Ciar, General Ymir... what the hell is this?”
“Well I always figured that Tyrael and Tiberius were corrupt in some way. When a corporation gets that big, it’s almost an inevitability. Still, bold to call out council members in such a public manner.”
“Nah, somethin’ ain’t right. I got a real bad feelin’ about this, and all the Chimera chases goin’ on recently is only makin’ it worse. I’m gonna head out’n do some diggin’.”
“If you insist, at least let the drone accompany you.”
“What’s with ya’ and this stupid drone?”
“It’s simply an automated surveillance drone that will keep tabs on you as you work. Think of it as a means of ensuring our investment.”
“Yeah yeah, whatever. I’ll take the fuckin’ spy drone if it makes you feel better.”
“Indeed it would. Jeremine, dear, would you send word down to security to prepare to launch?”
“Right away ma’am!”

“Welcome one and all to the Cheshire Charity Tournament. Our competitors are assembled and the matches have been announced. Auroras, Hari, please announce the matches.”
“With pleasure. As you all know, huntsmen and huntress from all walks of life are here to compete for your enjoyment and to showcase their skill at arms. Viewers are encouraged to place wagers on bouts. A reminder that the half of all pots will go toward relief efforts for the families of those who lost loved ones in the latest attack. Now, Hari, announce the matches.”

They don’t seem the type to know how to mesh with high society. Ah, I’ll bring Adrastia along as our bodyguard though. It’s been far too long since I’ve had a proper chat with her.”

Introductory Bounty Hunter Training
“Greetings.”
“As you already know from my announcement at the Revolution Day speeches, I will be personally funding, and teaching, a course for new bounty hunters to improve their skills and obtain their licenses. This program will be headed by myself as several good friends of mine. I will allow each of them to introduce themselves.”
“Auroras Hallward of Blood Brothers, LLC. You might know me from the most successful bounty hunter group in the city- one comprised only of the best Apricus has to offer. With me is my partner, Hari Lackey.”
“Yo.”
“Name’s Cal. Former bounty hunter. These days I’m better at support work than being on the front, but don’t think I’m going easy on you kids.” Cal passed a harsh glare to Tyrael just as the camera panned to the last one.
“I am General Cobalt Ymir of the Post-War Security Bureau. In addition to a favor from an old friend, I am also here to instruct prospective police and soldiers about the options the Bureau offers to those who are less sure of bounty work.”
“The five of us will be your instructors for the next month. If you are interested in attending, please submit an application to the Blood Brothers, LLC office. There you will be placed with a mentor. However, there are a few things to understand. Auroras?”
“Of course. Firstly, the missions we are going on are no less dangerous than any other. We are here to teach and train, not babysit. You may die if you are not careful.
“Second, your mentor is volunteering their time. They expect you to take this seriously. You can be asked to leave.
“Third, This is for those who have yet to receive a bounty license. If you are already practicing and simply want to ‘hang with the big shots’, and Calumont, don’t bother showing up. We will be taking applications until the end of the week where teams will be assigned to a mentor. Do not disappoint us.”

Tyrael set the small stack of papers down with a small growl. “How are things looking so far in the quarterly?”
“Getting slowly better.” Daniel Harving, the President of the Apricus City Bank, leaned back into the wide office chair with a grimace. “A lot of accounts are down. Rebuilding has slowed down commerce just enough where people are still mostly taking cash out of their accounts to cover costs. The Union keeps saying that they’re working people overtime to keep utilities up- but that means time and a half for their pay, so the price isn’t going down. Ciar’s dropped prices of some things but not others. On top of that, Paradise Entertainment is doing suspiciously well... Lord Merek is helping with charity but most of his following is already wealthy- fine for us, not for the overall and that’s going to look bad to the mayor.”
“This sounds like a buoyant market for bounties,” Redmond responds, “Things are stable but the economy is still creeping back up to where it was. There’s going to be at least some opportunistic people out there. I presume the loan program has been doing well?”
“It has but the interest rate isn’t ideal... I get you’re trying to put on a charitable front to keep up with the rest of the city but there’s plenty of other ways we could take advantage of this. If you think Ciar or Paradise won’t take advantage of low-interest credit to make money, you rattled your head in the fighting too much.”
“The solution is simple then, Charlotte,” Tyrael says, “Make it incremental. The higher the amount asked for, the higher the rates. Keep track of accounts and add an adjustment clause for anyone who thinks they’re going to game the system by getting several small ones. We can keep up with our part of the rebuilding while also making sure we don’t suffer for it. Now then, let’s draft up some plans.”
