The one time the sap course excited me was when I got to apply psychological theories and connect it to any piece of media.
What did I choose? The narrator from fight club and his self-actualization with Tyler Durden (the violent urge to instead go about their toxic codependent and very gay relationship and then cry about it and have big arrows pointing at the post-chemical burn kiss scene in the book and the narrator’s jealousy for Tyler’s attention etc etc)
Abigail Hobbs from Hannibal and the 4 archetypes (I wish to just ramble about how my girl isn’t evil and doesn’t deserve to be attacked she’s a victim I say I victim in my eyes a girl who’s trying to protect herself from being killed even if it is selfish plus falling onto an adult as a safety net)
And then Theo Raeken from teen wolf who was put with the hierarchy of needs which I wish was instead the 8 stages of psychosocial development instead ngl… (I wanted to yap about his redemption and him as a character and how he wasn’t inherently bad, just forced to be bad for the sake of survival like Abigail while also delving into his trauma and guilt over his sister)
I will continue to wait for the day I’m given a chance to just talk and write about something that I enjoy which is related to the subject for school. Please oh please give me another chance at this-
