//So uh-- i’m not super around anymore, I’m sure some might’ve noticed. And I’m really sorry for that, especially to anyone waiting for replies or hoping to start something. My mental health is still going through the paper-shredder, and I just don’t know if i can rp for a while on tumblr. So I probably won’t be around and will likely count this as a hiatus of sorts. Around-ish, but not really writing here. I’m okay, I’m alive, but it’s just been rough.
I don’t want to lose contact with many of you though! So if you want, I’m always on discord. If you reply to this or drop me a message, I can send you my discord info, so we might be able to chat more if you want to keep contact, and maybe do some kind of thread on there if I get my spoons back?
Thanks everyone for understanding. Love you guys💛

Me on the bird app just now after seeing this...🤣🤣🤣
Quite right. Let us never forget that Ben is Charlie’s daddy. 😂💗
Also, Ben’s probably at least met Charlie’s daughter by now (since he and Charlie lived in the same building when he was filming The Punisher and they got to hang out more often), so doesn’t that make Ben a grandfather, too? 🤭

“Because we do not,” Tristan evenly said, “side with landlords.”
And that was what Professor Kang was, when you stripped him of the black cloak and title.
where's that post that's like y'all make your characters too flawless/normal in modern AUs make them actually suck which someone reblogged and added "baru would be SO into crypto"?
anyway so in a modern AU, Tristan would definitely be one of those "ACAB includes fandom police" types right

tristan + pity : He has never had a high opinion of pity, after all his family, especially his mother, taught him that it has no value, as it denotes people with a weak character ── a characteristic that does not suit a member of the Dilyrr House. Since he was a child, he had been instilled with the notion that only the strongest survive and it is a rather obvious consideration given the type of environment in which he grew up ── the plots of power, internal struggles and murders at the expense of some members of the House itself were almost the order of the day, before Matron Mother Victorya took full control, guaranteeing years of quiet "serenity", managing to make every single member cope as best as possible, until reaching the high vaults of power, transferring the entire house in the Qu'ellarz'orl district. So, Tristan had to immediately harden his heart, turning it into a stone that should never be scratched, something he shows from the first act, deciding not to help the tieflings, who take refuge inside the Emerald Grove. He doesn't join the Goblins, as killing the Tieflings, allying himself with the three leaders of the Goblin camp, would have been a further demonstration of pity.
Yet, his closeness to Shadowheart, the fact that he manages to make her abandon the dark goddess she venerates, leads him to behave in a way so different from usual. He has been accustomed to the fact that enemies and weak people must be crushed and killed, yet he begins to show that benevolent mercy towards the former sharran cleric, guiding her on a path of light that leads to the discovery of her past, as well as freeing Dame Aylin. Does he do it because he loves Shar's cleric, or for simple personal gain as the Aasimar is a strong ally against Ketheric Thorm and the rest of the Absolute's army? He cannot explain it, as he would prefer to lean towards the first option, i.e. his love for Shadowheart, but a part of himself, continually hearing the voice of his mother Victorya in his ears, leans towards the second one: miming a feeling of pity in order to win.
In fact, in the third act, he returns to behave as before, showing that brutal insensitivity towards anyone, not even stopping before Bhaal, who seems to want him on his side, but his heart belongs only to Lolth. What would he do to free himself from the Spider Queen's yoke? Perhaps he would aim for the crown of Karsus, to become the Absolute himself.
