Status:

Raised under the shadow of the Empire, Marin is a Force-sensitive Togruta. Before the fall of the Republic, a young Marin had a brief encounter with Captain Rex of the 501st which left an impression on her. Following the fall of the Republic, her parents tried to keep her Force-sensitivity hidden but an incident where she nearly dropped a heavy object on a friend pushed them to seek help, and eventually they were able to contact a small group of Force users on the Nova moon. Calling themselves the D’ai, the group followed a different code to the Jedi, but had gone into hiding at the rise of the Empire. Marin visited them frequently as a child and later moved to join them full time when her parents were killed. When the Empire fell, Marin was a young member of the D’ai council and voted to remain isolated in case of further uprisings. Marin taught saber craft and building, as well as carpentry (she enjoyed the pun on fencing immensely). She tutored older students and acted as a tutor for Din Djarin and his son when they came across her. Marin has a strong sense of duty, and a patient personality - unless she’s asked to cook or watch over toddlers. She believes firmly in the D’ai teachings and in the importance of family bonds, and loves a good joke.

Marin is an OC in a Mandalorian AU series focused on a Force-sensitive but totally oblivious Din Djarin (Rated T and M)

She first appears in ‘Forces Beyond Our Control’ and art of her by Red Velvet Panda can be found at the end of ‘A King’s Ransom’.

Mandalorian OC…. She started off as a practice for character design but it went out of control. Now she’s in my Bounty Hunter Leia AU.

Liwen Jin was taken in by her buir at age 8, after being saved from a slaver. Their buir, a journeyman protecter, taught Liwen the best way to win a fight is to be underestimated, which influenced Liwen’s fighting style. Almost all of her weapons are small but dangerous, others hidden carefully around her body, to give the appearance of not being well armed. Her beskar is painted orange for her lust for freedom, and gold for the vengeance she plans to enact on all slavers and their ilk.

Unfortunately killing slavers doesn’t pay the bills, and so she also works as a bodyguard for those heading in treacherous locations, and an assassin when money it tight.

Liwen was against the concept of the Clone Army, and although she wasn’t a separatists supporter, it had soured her views of the Republic. That being said, she was a part of the rebellion since the beginning, albeit secretly. She is terribly fond of Prince Luke Organa, and when the Organas need a bodyguard for political reasons, She’s the first one they turn to.

Once Leia joins the rebellion, the two of them get along great, having full conversations in Mando’a, which both Luke and Han frown about, thinking that Leia is talking about them (she’s usually not). Liwen meets Runi Seele a little after the Battle of Yavin, and they quickly fall in love. The two say the riduurok a few months before the Battle of Hoth, and because of their marriage, Luke and Leia like to joke that they’re step siblings. (Once they find out about their past a year later, they think this is hilarious)

After the fall of the Empire, Liwen continues her hunt for slavers and injustice-this time with Runi-, and in 6 ABY, history repeats itself, for the better. Liwen and Runi get a foundling, a Half Zabrak preteen, Jinx. Runi semi retires to take care of her new daughter, and Liwen cuts down her work, although she will continue, one way or another, until the day she dies.

Liwen has strand of hair tied to her hip- Luke’s, Leia’s, Runi’s, and Jinx’s- if asked, she will say that it’s important to have those you love with you to remind you of what you’re fighting for.

WRITING IN GENERAL (For those who don't want to die like Stormtroopers)

SlickWrite: Completely free; online. Checks grammar, punctuation, flow, and writing style according to different settings (including fiction writing).

ProWritingAid: [RECOMMENDED] One of the most thorough online proofreader I've ever used. Although when using a free account gives extremely thorough feedback, with +20 different in-depth reports, for only the first 500 words. However, you can earn a premium account license (for a year or for life) if you get 10 or 20 new users signing up for free; (if you wouldn't mind doing so using the link above and help me earn mine, please). The settings allow you to check your writing according to your needs, from general to formal to creative. It has a bonus that you can check depending on the genre you're writing. For example, in creative, you can choose romance or sci-fiction (there are 14 sub-genre in total). And just like google docs, you can share a document, and people can view, comment or edit it too.

LanguageTool: [RECOMMENDED] Another excellent proofreader. It also has a word limit in free accounts, but if you use the add-on for Google Docs, it counts each page as a new document, so hitting the word limit is nearly impossible. It helps you to rewrite a sentence (3 a day), even if it doesn't raise any flags; it's very useful for when your sentence is grammatically correct, but it doesn't feel quite right.

Grammarly, Hemingway Editor: No so great, but they do the basic job.

Ok i’ve read a few codywan fics of sad desert hermit obi wan going back in time and trying to fix things but what i really wanna read is longish haired teenage obi wan going to the future where all his friends are dead and supposedly he is too.

Obi wan only lasts a few weeks before he ends up imprisoned by inquisitors, because good as he is, obi wan hasn’t a clue whats going on.

The food is rubbish and the torture isn’t great but at least he gets to meet a nice torguta lady during his escape.

Is ahsoka freaked out at having her grandmaster alive and now younger than her? Yes, yes she is but she ends up taking him back to the rebel base where a lot of very surprised people are waiting including one completely devastated commander Cody.

Having Obi wan back would be a dream come true for him normally but there is a difference between adult Obi wan who Cody was completely in love with and teenage Obi Wan who is forced to live with the knowledge that he is the survivor of a genocide.

Cody is almost happy that his Obi Wan is dead because he doesn’t think he could ever have looked him in the eye again.

Obviously nothing can happen between the two of them since Obi wan is like 16 and Cody is physically and mentally like 60 but theres a lot of guilt and regret on Cody’s part and a lot of confused pining on Obi Wan’s.

He has no clue why his romantic interests have changed from passionate blonde teenage girl to a depressed elderly man who tries to avoid him while also maintaining strangely long eye contact and honestly he’s not sure he wants to know.

There is a lot of guilt involved in trying to send Obi Wan back in time. Because they have to do it. Obi Wan Kenobi is an important historical figure and taking him out of the time stream could have disastrous consequences. They hope that he can change the past for the better, knowing what he knows now but there is a chance he won’t remember any of it and they are sending him back in time just for his own battalion to murder him.

Meanwhile Sad Desert Hermit Obi wan is getting really weird vibes from the force.

Am I the only one that has noticed in the Star Wars fandom there’s barely any Star Wars character x non-human reader fics. I low key think a few of our beautiful Star Wars hubbies/wifey’s would date non-human characters. And I don’t know about you guys but being human is boring sometimes to me, this is Star Wars we can be literally anyone and anything. I don’t know it was just something I thought about.

(I’m not talking about Jedi!readers either because you can be human and be a Jedi. I’m talking bout torguta’s, twi’leks, etc. We can even make up our own alien species guys. Our imaginations are endless)
