Chapter master Olympia! My tor garadon conversion I'm still really proud of. Someday I'd like to revisit this character and take another crack at this conversion
In a continued effort to build a chapter master for my legion, I found some neat minis that can be upscaled.
The person who does the printing wants an idea of the height I'm looking for. Does anyone know the height of the Marneus Calgar or Tor Garadon miniatures?
It’s interesting that the characters for Salamanders and Imperial Fists are brand new and not Primarisized versions of Vulkan He’stan and Darnath Lysander. Not at all what I was expecting.
A few assorted commissions from the past two months. Two bulk orders (a force of Red Corsairs and another of Deathguard) have been keeping me busy, but a few individual commissions in the meantime have given me some variety and spice. I had a lot more fun with Abaddon than I was expecting, and in the near future I’ll apparently be doing the GW Guilliman as well to pair with him. Also, I found out that Tor Garadon looks much better in person, as any attempt to photograph him makes his model look bad.
Tonight's work! Working on my assault intercessors now, swapped out their chain swords and bolt pistols for stun maces and bolt revolvers from popgoesthemonkey.
Got one fully painted except for the green on her lenses. The rest just got the black, blue, and gold as part of my experiments in batch painting. I'll finish them tomorrow.
But while I'm here, I'm gonna talk about one of my favorite kitbash works, Sargeant Hunter! She's rocking a Tor Garadon power fist I had left over from my chapter master conversion, a bunch of spare pouches, a knife, and two pistols! I can't wait to get her fully painted and on the tabletop.
(paints Tor Garadon as a Raven Guard) (paints Mephiston as an Ultramarine) (paints Kayvan Shrike as a Space Wolf) (gets tried in the Hague for crimes against humanity)
I think this is less a crime and more of a great way to upset everyone in the Golden Demon competitions.
