#Timeline spawned in Endgame

Loki’s not Altez, he’s the God of Stories.
For all of the people arguing that Loki isn’t actually the god of stories and that he’s more similar to Altez, the multiversal custodian who holds everything together and looks over existence from the outside in the comics….. Loki creating Yggdrasil/taking the throne isn’t what made him GOS. He became GOS at the end of episode 5 and the reasoning is actually based on mcu time travel rules.
In the mcu, anytime someone goes back and changes anything in the past, it doesn’t actually affect that timeline- instead, it creates a new branched reality. The only reason the avengers were able to circumvent this in endgame was because He Who Remains wrote their tampering into the sacred timeline, so it was always supposed to happen. This is true even after the multiverse is set free- in fact, that’s what the multiverse is (a bunch of different choices all spawning new realities that creates an infinitely expanding tree of possibilities).
Loki is the only exception to this. He can timeslip back and alter events on a specific timeline and actually change the future of that universe, without creating a branch reality. He did this when he was gathering his friends in 2x5, when he was trying to save the loom, and when he tried to fix things at the citadel. He doesn’t just create new timelines, he can actually rewrite timelines. In other words, he can rewrite stories.

Asks Comp 13/4
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think he's behind that door. The platform bears his symbol, and it's his final chance to show up in-game.
The best theory I have is that Bilious Slick is the god of Sgrub, and he only appears to a party of Players who have truly proven themselves. Given that Sgrub's endgame involves the creation of a universe, his role probably relates to this in some way.
Maybe he's the one who grants the Players the 'seed' - or whatever else is mechanically required to alchemize a universe.
Tumblr media
The thought has occurred to me, too! I've been skimming some old posts while writing asks, and a couple of things have stood out to me.
We still don't know who the pen pal is. I'm still convinced he has something to do with Grandpa Harley, and my best guess is that he's someone who contains Grandpa as an alchemical component.
The session monitor in Skaianet's lab has a new meaning now. Every single one of those sessions could spawn a universe. And it's been implied that every planet with intelligent life will eventually spawn Sburb sessions. If you do the maths, it's clear that each universe should spawn billions of sessions. Just how many 'children' does each universe produce?
Tumblr media
Ooh, yes, let's think about the implications of all this on my 'sonas!
If we assume that the kidsona was on comic-canon Earth, then she's in the universe created by the Zodiac trolls. The universe that she and the trollsona could create could be a completely new one!
...that is, if they create a universe at all. There's nothing saying you have to use that grist on a universe, and they might have other plans...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I was actually thinking about Tinkers when I made that post!
I read Worm a couple of years ago. In retrospect, it would also have made pretty good liveblogging material, although probably not quite as good as Homestuck. There's some great stuff in Worm, but a lot of what I really like about it doesn't show up until close to the end.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I initially assumed that the Psychic Double Reacharound was a contingency plan that she'd prepared earlier, since she couldn't possibly have come up with something so elaborate in the heat of the moment, while bleeding out on the ground.
But then I remembered she came up with the Sollux/Mind Honey plan seemingly on the spot, and now I'm not so sure. God damn, Vriska.
Tumblr media
This is genuinely super flattering. I hope the inconsistency isn't too much of an issue - and, yes, I note the irony of saying this immediately after a four-month hiatus!
Tumblr media
If was clear from early on that things in Homestuck weren't always what they seemed. Hell, sometimes they're not even what we're shown.
We have to assume some of what we're being told is true, or else we wouldn't have a story - but we always have to remember who's telling the story.
Tumblr media
[Lol I love this fic. lots of **GIANT** spoilers tho, just because of the nature of the fic. For example, big ones starting at 16, 55 and 57 - C]
Recommended, and does apparently contain spoilers - but this is one I'm particularly looking forward to.
Tumblr media
It's kind of a funny question, isn't it?
From Davesprite's perspective, he did change the future - his future. John died, but he 'changed things' - and now John's alive, even though he was dead 'before'.
But if you zoom out a little, you can see that this change was predetermined by the Alpha Timeline, which always depended on these events. Davesprite changed the first-order future - but the meta-future was always set in stone.
Tumblr media
The Medium's timeline is so weird, isn't it? Its retroactive existence is difficult to puzzle out.
I don't think you could see the history of your Land by travelling back before you entered. All physical evidence of that history is there, but it's generated in a single instance when you Enter, and can't be accessed. It's analogous to read-only-memory.
After all, John, Rose and Dave are in the past with respect to LOJADE, but they're never going to see its 'history' - and Jade's Entry isn't going to insert it into the Medium retroactively. It won't have been 'there all along' when John was flying around earlier on his jetpack - it'll only ever have been there from Jade's Entry onwards.
As for getting into Earth's past, I think Karkat had it right, when he described the kids' original universe as 'a set of points to choose from'. You can't get into Earth's past by time-travelling around the Medium, but that doesn't really matter, since you can open portals into any point in its history, as long as you have the gear.
They're fascinating questions, aren't they?
Tumblr media
Pre-Exile, she was the Tradition Wrangler - a Prospitian lawyer who struggled to interpret the Medium's archaic laws!
Tumblr media
DD is a man of action, and I'm sure he approves of any Player who acts decisively themselves.
Plus, I'm sure he can emphasize with Aradia's situation. After all, it sucks to be bossed around by someone whose motivations make no goddamn sense half the time.
Tumblr media
Common Terezi W.
Tumblr media
True - she didn't need to hold her there for long. The laser pointer thing is a better analogy, blinding her almost instantly. I don't think it's any less fucked-up - it's more like a different flavor of fucked-up.
That's a pretty impressive robotics feat for Equius, actually. I wonder what Aradiabot is actually made of?
Tumblr media
Tracing the source of alchemy gear is one of my favorite Homestuck 'minigames'.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hivebent's art is fantastic! I really see why the comic blew up around this time. It's really coming into its own, stylistically. Of particular note is the art of Make Her Pay, and the art accompanying Aradia's final monologue. I can't wait to see more!
Gamzee is just too high to be rendered in a less symbolic manner.
Tumblr media
Sollux is broken, and probably another mutant. The Sgrub trolls don't seem surprised by his level of power - but considering their circle includes other absurd espers like Aradia and Vriska, they probably aren't the best people to ask about what's normal.
Damn, I wish we could have seen more of Alternia. I know some of the spin-offs dig into this, but I hope we get more in canon, too.
Tumblr media
Terezi's dream self is blind, because that's the version of herself she identifies most with. There's very little doubt in my mind that your dream self would reflect your self-perception in other ways, too. Skaia is clearly an ally - thank you, king.
You could imagine a Player whose dream self changes after they realize - or conversely, a Player whose dream self cracked their eggy loking thign. I'd be surprised if there weren't many fanfictions where this is a plot point - and depending on how things shake out in the comic itself, I'm not ruling it out.
Tumblr media
In asking about magic, Kanaya really does start to sound like the young child that she is. It's easy to forget, but heartbreaking when you remember.
Tumblr media
A few people have talked about this, so I added all of my 'immediate reaction' posts to the liveblog tag! I think it got them all - other than LOLCAT, which I missed and will add now - but if there are others, let me know!
Tumblr media
I guess Matespritship isn't explicitly described in terms of romantic love. It's described as a close analogue of human romance, which is 'rooted in strongly positive emotions'. I've been assuming, based on that, that Red Romance is effectively interchangeable with the human concept of romantic love - but I suppose that's not necessarily the case.
I do think you're hitting on a very good point, here, too, which is that the quadrant system itself is described as something that trolls need. I think the 'need' for these categories is enforced, artificially, for the benefit of the Empire. It wouldn't be the first institution to pull something like this.
Either way, it'll be interesting to see how the troll/human ships end up shaking out. It's going to be a challenge to merge their respective relationship frameworks. The best solution, of course, is for them to experience their own relationships without any cultural baggage, but I don't think I'm just speaking for myself when I say that that's easier said than done!

Intro
(My name is Fitz/Flesh/Pixel. I'm 26 and use He/They/It
This is a side blog for Fritz, my OC for Terraria Calamity! Fritz is 32 and uses He/They.
This is mostly to keep track of art, info and can even function as an ask blog! Do whatever you want, the world is your oyster.
This contains an oc ship between the Guide and Fritz.
Here is Fritz's ToyHouse and his Spotify Playlist!
Fritz's story is below. Have fun!
If sending asks, you can send any for AUs or any specific point in time! This blog doesn't follow a timeline. The current AUs are; Modern, Merfolk, Fallen Hero, Brimstone Sorcerer and Angel AU. There's also normal Fritz and Endgame Fritz.)
STORY:
One day, in the Land of Excitement (A Celebration Seed World), Fritz woke up on the beach with 0 idea who he was or where he was. He only remembered his name.
He went to town and passed out in front of everyone.
Andrew, the Guide, said a hero was to arrive to them that fit Fritz's description.
Fritz started out as a terrible hero. He was bad at fighting, terrified of the small things and didn't work hard during training with Andrew, who was preparing him for the journey ahead.
People lost hope in him and people began to dislike him.
Until the Eye of Cthulhu spawned on the town. Fritz challenged the Eye to defend the town and won, though was badly wounded.
Everyone started to regain their hope in him and Fritz started working harder during training. He started to get cocky as he defeated boss after boss.
Though eventually, Andrew told him he needed to make a great sacrifice to progress and that he was meant to be the sacrifice. Though due to their time training, he has grown to really love Fritz and didn't want to die, pushing aside the prophecy.
The two begin a life together until an accident involving a voodoo demon down in the underworld took place, ultimately killing Andrew and summoning the Wall of Flesh.
After that, Fritz was devastated to learn about Andrew's death, but found he left behind a Friendship Bracelet, which he wore everywhere.
Turns out, the bracelet is a summon item, and it brought back Andrew. Andrew is now a summon item (Or a squire, a minion you can guide) but is about 1 foot tall.
Despite this, Fritz is still very depressed and upset as this just made him feel worse. The air between the two is very tense.
As time goes on, Fritz kills more bosses as the cycle of violence starts to eat away at him. He is practically mad at this point, starting to view the prophecy as a curse and the heroism he must fulfill as a burden.
His depression amplifies and now he has strong suicidal ideation, but keeps going because he knows Terraria is doomed if he dies.
Eventually he fights Calamitas. It is an intense battle that Fritz didn't want Andrew to witness. Calamitas hits him with a powerful blast of Brimstone Magic but he absorbs most of it, creating a white streak in his now longer hair.
When the fight is over, Fritz lets Calamitas move into his and Andrew's home, as they had a spare room.
Calamitas decides to learn a few new spells and tries them out on the tiny Andrew, eventually turning him back to normal Andrew.
Fritz and Andrew properly reunite and they continue their relationship, but Fritz is still highly depressed and a huge mess.
Story will continue as the Calamity mod progresses.

Narcissist
Narcissist, Aetherco, 2004?
One of my favorite brain-bending games is Continuum (sometimes written C°ntinuum, but the degree sign is not great for accessibility). It's a game of "authentic" time travel where the past cannot be changed, but that doesn't excuse you from going back and doing what needs to be done, because you've already done it, so go do it. It's heavy on terminology, demands a fair amount of records-keeping, and is absolutely fascinating.
Continuum was intended to be the first of three games, with the other two being Narcissist and Dreamer. Dreamer hasn't come out yet. Narcissists are the bad guys of the first game (good guys in their own minds, of course) who skip across dimensions in addition to going through time. I have a 0.7 pre-release from a convention many years ago, and things have changed quite a bit since that draft.
While Continuum is all about protecting the "one true timeline" from damage, Narcissists have noped out of a world that was never kind to them in the first place. They don't believe the Inheritors' obviously self-motivated claims about the sanctity of the timeline. They generate paradoxes to squeeze themselves out of our world like a pumpkin seed and crash into another.
The system in Narcissist is mostly similar to Continuum, but cleans up some of the early-game issues so the whiff factor isn't as high. The late game still goes up into the elder-god levels of psychic and physical power, dovetailing into the Antedesertium supplement (which I'll cover in another review). The tweaks to the system definitely help it scale better at both ends. The art is ok but kind of surreal in an unhelpful way.
The setting for Narc (what an ironic nickname for the game...) starts off in our world, which they call Swarm Prime. As a starting character ("Drifter") you're mostly focused on fixing what went wrong in your life, but the world you end up in is never exactly what you wanted. In the midgame you leave Swarm Prime behind and join the greater society of Drifters, seeking meaning through belonging even if you can't admit it. Some people help other Drifters break free of Swarm Prime or nearby worlds; others twist timelines to find weapons to use against the Continuum or seek to understand the strange, ghostly time loops left behind by failed Drifters. The endgame pits you against the Inheritors, time-traveling transhumans who are the endpoint of the Swarm Prime timeline. Your eventual goal is to fracture that world into an infinite array of solipsistic worlds where everyone gets their own heaven exactly the way they want it. What that means for everyone in those timelines who isn't that particular Narcissist is hinted at darkly in several places.
Narc's paperwork is not in time-and-place tracking, but world-tracking. Every time you spawn a parallel world it starts drifting away from Swarm Prime. The farther it drifts, the safer it is from Continuum influence, but the faster time moves there. You can use up years of your life in very distant worlds and come back to find that almost no time has passed. Every change you make has knock-on effects for every world you've already visited. Every change may spawn another Narcissist who's out to get you for ruining their life.
One terrifying truth about Narcissist is that you never actually visit the same world twice unless it's Swarm Prime. That's the only one where the timeline is sufficiently protected. You never meet the same person twice unless you're there. Every world-hop generates a paradox that forks a timeline. Your Drifter allies are just echoes who look and talk like them. The enemies following you are just shadows of the ones you made. They only find you because there are an almost uncountable multitude of them. Where Continuum requires... well, a continuity of the events in the world, Narc explicitly denies one. The GM has an obligation to drift NPCs personalities as you meet different versions of them across time and dimension.
There's a lot more to it; these are deep games with a lot going on. You can probably tell that I'm a fan. I love time travel and dimension travel in general, and a lot of games use them purely for changes of scenery. Time and Temp is one of the few other games that really does time travel well. Narcissist sets a standard for a completely different kind of dimension-hopping game, and I hope it doesn't go overlooked.
Narcissist is a little harder to find than Continuum, not that getting a physical copy of Continuum is that easy. In fact, the physical copies of Narcissist and Antedesertium that showed up on my doorstep are the only final versions I've ever seen. I'd gladly pick up another if anyone has a source.

time travel?
Very much an A! Time fuckery is on my list of top 10 tropes, easily, and one I actively look for.
I love:
Time Travel fixits that cause more unanticipated problems while trying to fix things
Time Loops that spawn repeated trauma with death and whump that gets reset but stays in one character's memory
Diverging timelines where going back to change one thing sets off a butterfly effect of cascading differences
Time traveling characters dealing with the angst of being an older version of themselves trapped in their younger body
Time traveling characters who went back physically dealing with the angst of not being recognized as an older version of themselves
Stories that reveal what happened in the future even as things are playing out in the past with simultaneous timelines of future-past and past-present
Basically any version of time travel that isn't Avengers Endgame. :)

The big fat WIP list
After finishing write our name in blood and in flowers of flame, I have nothing finished ready to post, so I thought I’d give you (and me) an overview of all WIPs I have lying around! Some snippets, some multichapter fics, some recent, some not touched in years.
Buckle in, it’s a long list. Feel free to ask questions, make suggestions and tell me which ones you’re most interested in! Also, if you ask nicely (and promise to give me feedback), I can send you what I have so far.
*********************************************
Working title: 40s
What it’s about: Steve and Natasha accidentally end up in 1940′s New York. While trying to get back, Steve uses his new strength to punch Nazis, Natasha has to figure out how much of her future boyfriend is already in Bucky and they maybe kind of break the timeline.
How it’s going: Four chapters.
The Problem(tm): Still have to figure out the American fascists part of the plot and do research on that (shoutout to Rachel Maddow’s podcast Ultra for giving me the idea).
Working title: Chocolate cop AU
What it’s about: Spawned from this snippet, a later one for flavor here. Bucky is a veteran, Natasha is a cop working on organized crime. Very hot sex, banter, Natasha struggling with her life.
How it’s going: I literally have 56 chapters of this already.
The Problem(tm): I really fucked up several things (Matt Murdock's accommodations as a blind state attorney, Chicago neighborhoods, probably the whole investigation plot) and I really hate editing and rewriting.
Working title: College burnout
What it’s about: College AU. Natasha is a grad student struggling very much with her thesis and Bucky is that asshole friend of a friend who is just in her class to flirt with her.
How it’s going: Some 7 chapters.
The Problem(tm): I don’t know what to do to realistically make Nat actually write her thesis (i.e. some method she figures out that’s not just “and then she wrote it”). Also, Natasha is a Russian student at the Russian department, so that won’t read the same way anymore following the war in Ukraine.
Working title: FATWS
What it’s about: Endgame canon divergence where Natasha is revived when Steve returns the Infinity Stone to Vormir (before he fucks off himself). Bucky keeps her company while she recovers and they kinda fall in love. Basically, writing Buckynat into FATWS.
How it’s going: Wrote the part from Endgame up to the start of TFATWS.
The Problem(tm): I don’t have Disney Plus so I can’t rewatch FATWS right now. Also, I probably forgot most of what I was going to do and I’m not sure it’ll come back with the rewatch.
Working title: Icarus
What it’s about: Set in 1959. Bucky and Natasha ditching the KGB and the Soviet Union and becoming free agents in Western Germany struggling with surviving and morals (and also falling in love).
How it’s going: On chapter 2.
The Problem(tm): I feel like this is going to be really good, which raises the bar on self-confidence I need to write this.
Working title: Oh no, he’s hot
What it’s about: Set after Civil War. Nat decides to seduce Bucky and they start a strangers-with-benefits thing that turns into a friends-with-benefits thing that ... I’m sure you can guess.
How it’s going: Apparently 12 chapters?
The Problem(tm): Basically just missing the end. Classic 80% problem. I know how it’s gonna go, just .... hrngh.
Working title: Amnesia
What it’s about: Inspired by Burn With Me from MissMorwen. Nat gets amnesia. Actual plot.
How it’s going: 6 chapters
The Problem(tm): Again, missing the end.
Working title: Breaking
What it’s about: Red Room fic! Natasha finds a weakness with the Soldier and keeps prying and prying.
How it’s going: Over 20k.
The Problem(tm): Guess what? The fucking end.
Working title: Rents by the hour
What it’s about: Smut. Bucky and Natasha meet between missions in a place that rents by the hour.
How it’s going: 2k.
The Problem(tm): Stuck on the smut (happens surprisingly often).
Working title: Love and War
What it’s about: Inspired by this song. Bucky is having a really shitty time post-CATWS. Nat checks up on him.
How it’s going: Six chapters but it’s complicated.
The Problem(tm): This is one where I might just post the first or the first three chapters (which should work as a standalone) and then decide whether I took it in the wrong direction after or not.
Working title: Menage à trois
What it’s about: Kinda TFATWS with Nat - Nat and Sam are dating but Bucky is an asshole and hits on her all the time. Smut. Maybe going towards a triangle thing.
How it’s going: 6 chapters.
The Problem(tm): The first chapter would work as a standalone. If I posted the second one, too, I’d probably have to figure out where this actually goes (and whether I like where it goes).
Working title: So companionable as solitude
What it’s about: Soulmate AU. Unfortunately, Natasha hates the very idea of soulmates. Unfortunately for her, Steve gets dusted instead of Bucky. Unfortunately, after going through all the tropes (only one bed, fake dating etc.), he kind of grows on her.
How it’s going: One and a half chapters.
The Problem(tm): Zero motivation to write this.
Working title: Bikes
What it’s about: Bucky and Natasha bond over their love for motorcycles which leads to going on biking trips together which leads to friends which leads to friends with benefits.
How it’s going: 16k.
The Problem(tm): I don’t really want to make them date here so this doesn’t really have an endpoint. I thought about turning it into a oneshot, too.
Working title: IVF
What it’s about: Natasha is traumatically scared of being touched and also asexual but figures things out with Bucky and they have a baby through artificial insemination.
How it’s going: Almost 20k.
The Problem(tm): This doesn’t really have an endpoint yet.
Working title: Meeting the Parents
What it’s about: Bucky meeting everyone from Nat’s (adoptive) family to get their blessing.
How it’s going: 1.5k.
The Problem(tm): Kinda just a premise. A fun one, but just a premise.
Working title: Physical therapy
What it’s about: Natasha and Bucky doing friends with benefits which I somehow decided to make go horribly wrong.
How it’s going: Over 20k from both of their POVs.
The Problem(tm): Really not sure I should have taken that there, but then again, otherwise I wouldn’t have a plot or an endpoint.
Working title: Russian Mafia
What it’s about: Bucky is a mafia goon who’s supposed to bring the boss’s girlfriend from A to B, which obviously goes horribly wrong, too.
How it’s going: one chapter
The Problem(tm): Had this idea for a while but only started writing this week. Unfortunately, going forward, I will have to figure out how the plot actually works.
Working title: Supersoldier stamina
What it’s about: Smut. The supersoldier serum gives... multiple orgasms is playing it down, and it’s awkward.
How it’s going: Like 8k.
The Problem(tm): You guessed it, stuck on the smut.
Working title: Wedding traditions
What it’s about: Steve and Natasha fake their wedding for vague mission purposes, and Bucky is the horrible best man who is way too much into the outfit. Smut.
How it’s going: 2k.
The Problem(tm): Stuck on the smut.
Working title: Western soulmate AU
What it’s about: Western AU, soulmate AU. Clint walks into a saloon to find his soulmate who is, unfortunately, already married. Years later, they meet again when she asks him for help in finding her husband.
How it’s going: 3k.
The Problem(tm): Missing the whole plot before getting to the end.
Working title: WWII
What it’s about: Somebody asked for a younger Bucky with an older Nat and somehow I decided to put it in the Nazi-occupied Soviet Union. So, expect the usual super-light story. The Howling Commandoes parachute in to kidnap some Nazi, Nat is a local partisan helping them and a young Bucky is totally head over heels for her (to everyone’s amusement).
How it’s going: 2k.
The Problem(tm): Have to make the plot work...

Do you think Timsteph is done for good or nah?
I don't know, anon
In this current timeline, we know they aren't endgame in Future State, so for right now, yes.
Is it possible they may be written together in elseworld stories? Sure. Super possible.
What about in the Titans TV show? In the Young Justice cartoon? Another future show that they somehow both end up on? Unlikely, but one can dream.
Is it possible that in a number of years, the current timeline gets retconned or spawns off and they get together again? Sure.
Is it possible that Tim discovers that he is gay in a future story? Sure.
Is it possible that Steph discovers that she is bi or eventually discovers that she is lesbian? That I'm less sure because that would involve DC caring about her own agency as a character.
There are endless possibilities for them as characters. It's more likely, obviously, that in the coming years Tim will continue to get the most care and attention from DC.
I'm not going to say that they'll never get back together, but I literally do not know.
Someone could come in and retcon all the queerness in comics that's happening, if one were to be that awful. Someone could give them a wedding. They could have kids again. Tim could end up as a cyborg and Steph could fuck off to space and move in with some alien babe a trillion lightyears away. Literally anything could happen. They made a fucking vampire book this year and Dick killed his loved ones. If that doesn't tell you that DC is creatively unpredictable (to an extent), I don't know what will.
I just don't know, anon. I really don't.

Barry gets a chance to talk to the Barry from the original timeline.
(note: fuck crisis, throwing out years of building up to barry’s story just so they could do an endgame rip-off to send out their dollar story version of batman!) He’s not even thinking about the article. It’s one more fight, that’s all, another race through the streets of Central City chasing his mother’s murderer. Chasing the man who tricked his daughter and betrayed his friends and has hands bloodstained, red as Barry’s suit. The date, April 24th, doesn’t register, not at first. All that matters is the jar of his ankles on pavement, the rush of lightning in his veins, the desperate need to make certain no one else dies today, to save the people he loves that he can save. He just needs to be a little faster, and so he runs. It’s only as he follows the red blaze of light through the midnight darkness of the city, across Adams Ave and down 16th street, with his family shouting in his ears that he considers. It’s only when the lightning encompasses everything that he realizes. He doesn’t recognize the void around him as the Speedforce at first-- it doesn’t take on the facsimile of bedroom or graveyard, and the storms are held at bay. The only lightning his his own, and the light he follows. More importantly, it doesn’t hurt. There is no pressure on his eyes or ribs, and his feet aren’t slowed to a stop. He runs through nothing, but the red light is gone and there is nothing to chase. This does not mean he is alone.
Barry sees the figure, wreathed in a living halo of golden flame, running parallel, and then matching speed as if it is the most natural thing in the world for both their bodies. With that, in the empty space lit only by their lightning, it is as if everything is totally still. “It’s you,” they both say together as they realize through straining legs and lungs. Barry Allen meets his gaze and gives a smile that Barry knows too well, the one that hides sorrow and resignation in acceptance. “It’s time, I guess,” that new Barry says, his voice cutting through the distant roar. “ Thawne found out who I am. He’s going back.” “To try to kill us,” Barry says. “And you’re going to stop him.” “Yes,” the other Barry says, his nod firm and familiar. The certainty of that pairs with the thing that hangs unspoken between them-- what happens next? “I’ll close the loop.” Barry breathes in lightning. “Before you --go,” he says, and he has to say it, now, before the trail of red returns. “Mom.” How can he not warn this version of himself that will race off, never knowing? But how can he say it, and let another version of his carry the guilt on his heart? The other Barry smiles at him. “She and Dad are happy,” he says, responding to Barry’s worry with an answer he didn’t realize he’d wanted. “They promised, they’ll help Iris. They’ll look after the twins, if I---when-- I don’t come back.” “The twins,” Barry echoes, thinking of the news Iris mentioned just that morning. Could, in all the things that never matched up between the life he was meant to have and the path Thawne set him on, that one thing be a constant? No. it’s so much more than one thing. He thinks of Iris, her smile, and how it spans everything. Everything. They run, both Barries, following a route instinct shows their feet. And then there it is, the red lightning, a trail that will haunt them both for however long they have. The other Barry’s footfalls change, almost imperceptibly, as he shifts his course. “I saw you,” Barry says, words tripping over themselves to be heard before-- before. “I thought it was me. Fading. How are we both here? The timelines…” He asks for his own sake as much as out of concern for this version of himself that by rights shouldn’t exist, broken when Eobard’s knife struck home. And again as much out of wanting one more mystery to solve, one final puzzle to unravel. “What do you think makes the multiverse?” the Barry following Thawne’s sparks asks, and his voice echoes until it surrounds them both like the lightning. Barry understands in that moment, everything the Speedforce never could translate. “It’s the choices. The ones that shatter everything. The ones that build it back.” And he is gone. Barry can feel the moment in his own heart, his own child’s voice crying out-- and he runs. The circle has almost closed, as it always needed to be. There is one more thing that has to happen. Barry runs, and fills his heartbeat and the air around him with names, the living and the dead. Iris. Cisco and Caitlin, Harrison, Tess, Mom and Dad. Cecile, Joe, Wally. Jenna, Bart and Nora, the twins who may be them or their own. Mom, Dad, Bette. Eddie. Ralph. Dante. Martin. Ray, Kendra, Oliver. Iris, Iris, Iris. This sets fate into motion. This has already done so. He runs, and each pulse of his feet on what must be solid ground sings out love. He has felt The Lightning before, the crackle in his eyes and the static in his fingertips. He has felt its fire in his lungs and blood, but now as he runs he feels the warmth of the golden electricity, wrapping itself around him and then into him. It traces his veins. It mingles with the air in his lungs. It becomes his heart. The circle will close and it will spiral, a thousand versions where different choices that spawn from this one mean a thousand versions of him will find their way back, and that is enough. Barry breathes out and the Lightning flashes around him, blind but seeing now everything. The hand that reaches out through the dark--so close-- is golden and white and
fragmented. He pushes and his feet meet air, flying through a winter storm that roars with everything he has held. The skylight shatters into a million pieces at his touch, and the Lightning strikes.

'charred wedding photograph' FIRST OF ALL HOW DARE YOU. SECOND, THAT IS BRILLIANT (aaa but pAIN). the perk builds fits them really well!! how about scar or etho? :O i'd say Bond for scar (s1 reputation point system) but he's more into scamming people so.. :/ honestly i kinda wanna start playing dbd again because of this crossover -dbd anon
AHHAHA I KNEW THAT OFFERING WOULD HURT!! and true dbd anon, i started playing demo and pig again when last life started previous week because i was like huh . . hu h hhmmm.
scar joel and eefo below >:)
Tumblr media
As you mentioned, Bond would be a great choice for Scar because of his actions in s1, but I also believe it's a fantastic perk for him because of it's frequent ingame use as a double-edged sword for teammates. Yes, it's a fantastic perk for helping your friends, but there's a reason why Bond is considered one of the essential perks for a sandbagging/kill your friends/make randoms hate you match, and it's not so you can avoid the jungle gym they're hiding in.
Diversion is a fantastic meme perk, and I feel like where Scott would get his serotonin from stabbing attackers, Scar would take great joy in throwing various debris away and at the assaulter. Also incredibly infuriating and/or endearing for the killer at the receiving end of it. Is there anything more Scar?
If Dead Hard antis even exist, I'm one of them. I love getting outplayed by the letter E. However, I can't deny this exhaustion perk's place in Scar's roster, considering it's use straight up requires him to be injured. I feel like he would get the most v a l u e out of the perk than anyone else in previous or future perks.
Up the Ante is an Ace perk, for one, which immediately favours itself to Scar's personality, but also his insane luck/"""plot armour""" in s1 lends itself to great synergy with the perk. The more people alive, the luckier he is, which roughly lines up with the s1 timeline.
One brown medkit to get a cheap, quick self heal off of, and a shroud of union for... friend :)
Tumblr media
YOU THOUGHT JOEL WOULD GET A SURVIVOR BUILD? FOOL (disclaimer i am a fake trapper player my trapper is p1 but my skill is p-1)
Hoarder is both for funny and sad because he spent basically most of the beginning of his red life experience getting robbed by multiple factions- something tells me that might become a sore spot in the future.
Rancor is an extremely fun one for Joel, both playing into the obsession mechanic and the fact that I have no idea if it'd be Lizzie or Pearl as the obsession, each with their own valid reasons. Both the aura exchange and the endgame kill mechanic are terrifying factors for whoever's unlucky enough to become the obsession.
M&A is just a lucky guess right now- people only seem to notice him when he's in talking distance, but that changes as soon as people spot him and go on high alert.
Bitter Murmur again is just creepy. Knowing (or not knowing) that through every death your position is being completely revealed, no matter how well you're hidden.
The logwood dye would help him hide his traps better (he needs it after that extremely shoddy one this session), and... the padded jaws are until he can get used to the fact he's setting fucking bear traps for his friends?
Tumblr media
Etho here uses off-meta perks with good synergies because this man doesn't need a 5-gen chase to survive. Quick and Quiet, Iron Will and Dance with Me is a classic combo to escape most chases efficiently. The only major difference here is that instead of Lithe to make it even better, he's got Blast Mine because I genuinely cannot think of a more Etho perk than setting up a fucking flashbang for shits and giggles.
The key is there for a quick and easy escape when or if times get tough, and the offering basically guarantees a hatch spawn in or around the shack, which is extremely convenient. I fully believe he's got the skillset to support altruistic actions, he just has a preference more suited to blending into the shadows and frying killer retinas.

Gosh if the show throws Romitri under the bus just because Julie doesn't like it or forces Rodrian endgame that'll be so sad. I'm trying to stay cautiously optimistic about the show's potential but 😓
Oh I wouldn't even worry about it. I know TV show adaptations like to just take the base and go wild, and I know likely there will be a lot of different changes especially in the love lives of these characters, but considering that VA literally has a successful spin off where Adrian has his own love interest, I feel like making Rodrian endgame is just...highly unlikely? Unless, say, the Dimitri actor leaves the show for some reason and the show's stuck relying on their secondary love interest (see: TVD, Glee), than I doubt it. Like, the source is so clearly....not love triangle based? Or, the grand love triangle is the less traditional Lissa/Rose/Dimitri. Like, Adrian is never presented as a serious contender; he's a flirt who Rose settles for when she can't have Dimitri, so I feel like if Julie is as big of a VA fan as she claims with this whole passion project shit, then I feel like she wouldn't jeopardize Romitri that severely for a Rodrian endgame. Will Rose/Adrian probably have more angst and a longer rl timeline? Maybe. Especially if Adrian becomes the fan favorite he already is in the book fandom (or if she gets heat for the age gap btw Romitri, which will probably be mended and laxed in the show tbh). She may even give Rose/Mason more of a bone because why not (I even see Julie giving them a drawn out, one-sided pining storyline like George/Meredith in Greys in the show, complete with a distressing mistake sex/kiss scene) but I don't think anything as extreme as a Rodrian endgame is on the cards. Especially considering that fact that Julie likes her spinoffs. TVD spawned two successful spinoffs. VA, meanwhile, has one baked into the source material! If all goes well, I'm sure Peacock and Julie should be hoping that the launch of VA is just the start to Peacock's own little vampire franchise for their network. But who knows? This is Julie and she has raised my hopes to only let me down in the past already, so idk, we'll have to see. It will definitely depend on actor chemistry, fan reaction, and Julie’s personal preference towards the ships on her shows as much as on the source material itself, but right now I'm not too worried.

Marvel’s What If? Trailer Breakdown and MCU Easter Eggs Explained
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
Lost in the shuffle of Marvel’s live action TV slate and its implications for the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe (like DOOM being the secret bad guy of Loki CHANGE MY MIND) is the impending release of Marvel’s first animated series. What If…? follows the theme of the comic of the same name, which explores far-fetched alternate versions of big moments in Marvel history. As you can see from the show’s new trailer, things get very weird when you start messing with the sacred timeline.
The first season of the animated show is going to run for 10 episodes, but it seems we only got a look at four or five possible stories from the trailer. We’re going to try and take it one story at a time. If you haven’t seen the trailer yet, take a look below:
Okay, here’s everything we found:
Uatu the Watcher
The framing sequence for every issue of the comic was Uatu the Watcher telling readers how if one thing changed, the whole world might have turned out differently. Uatu is a member of a race of extremely powerful, nigh-immortal beings committed to watching (or “monitoring” if you’re a DC head) the universe, but never interfering. Among his gadgets and gizmos that enabled him to perform those duties were machines that would let him see alternate possible realities. It looks like that framing sequence will make its way to the animated series, with Uatu played by Jeffrey Wright.
Killmonger and Iron Man
The first big change we see is Eric Killmonger, the Black Panther villain, saving Tony Stark from a bomb at what would have been the beginning of the first Iron Man movie.
It looks like this one wraps up with a big battle, with Killmonger and Ramonda (T’Challa’s stepmother and queen of Wakanda) each leading forces. What’s potentially interesting about this would be how it ties the motivations of Tony Stark and Killmonger together – Tony, saved from the attack, would not be forced to create Iron Man armor and could potentially give Killmonger a different outlet for his anger at Wakanda.
Thor vs. Ultrons in Madripoor
This next shot looks like a bunch of Ultrons circling a brightly lit building. The color scheme makes me immediately think Madripoor, the southeast Asian island nation introduced to the MCU in The Falcon & The Winter Soldier, but it’s entirely possible that this is just some garishly lit Stark holding.
The Ultrons swarm the building and Thor is there to meet them.
Captain Carter
The second big story teased in the trailer looks to be along the lines of “What if Peggy Carter got the super soldier serum?” The answer is apparently “ride an Iron Man into battle.”
Peggy obviously isn’t going to become Captain America, but her becoming Captain Britain would be a bit of a big deal. Captain Britain is typically an X-Men thing – the original 616 Captain was Brian Braddock, created by legendary X-writer Chris Claremont and Herb Trimpe. Brian headlined his own title for a bit, flourishing under Alan Moore and Alan Davis before fading away, only to have Claremont salvage his character family, including his sister Betsy, for his massive, seminal X-Men run.
Brian became Captain Britain when he was approached by Merlin and his daughter Roma and asked to choose between the Amulet of Right and the Sword of Might to see what kind of protector he would be. Interesting that we see Peggy carrying a sword here…
We also get a quick glimpse of Arnim Zola, the Hydra scientist who eventually uploaded his consciousness into a series of televisions to become one of the big bads of Captain America: Winter Soldier.
Here’s where this story starts to take a turn: Dr. Strange meets up with Captain Carter, and presumably from here shit gets real weird.
Like when Peggy Carter has to fight Shuma Gorath. Shuma was created in the ‘70s by Steve Englehart and Frank Brunner as an amalgamation of a bunch of different, evil, mystical beings: he’s an eye surrounded by toothy tentacles whose name was taken from an old Conan story, while his backstory has a lot of Chthulu in it.
Comics fans might recognize him as the dark god of the Cancerverse from the climax of the excellent Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning Marvel cosmic run, but real fans know him as the only character worth playing in the Capcom Marvel fighting games.
Guardians
Marvel’s What If will also feature the late Chadwick Boseman’s final performance as T’Challa. This time, though, he’s also Star Lord. It looks like T’Challa was picked up at some point by Yondu and raised in space as part of Yondu’s Ravager team.
This is a really interesting swap: the cinematic T’Challa has been largely defined by his relationship to his parents, and to his father especially. He’s swapping one strong father figure for another here, and it’s going to be fascinating to see how much his temperament changes because of Yondu, and how much his temperament changes what Star Lord would do.
One change is front and center in the trailer: T’Challa somehow gets the Guardians of the Galaxy pulled into the battle of New York from the first Avengers movie.
Loki
We know Tom Hiddleston is reprising his role as Loki for the animated series. It looks like Loki’s somehow gathered an army of Asgardians, including Volstagg? Looks like he’s facing off against Fury, too.
It looks like this story might branch off from the events of Thor – we get a peek at Hawkeye pointing his bow and arrow in the rain, just like his introduction in the first Thor movie.
Loki also gets his hands on the Casket of Ancient Winters again. You’ll recall that he used this weapon to try and destroy Jotunheim in the first movie, but was stopped by Thor destroying the Bifrost.
Zombies
The biggest performance draw is almost certainly going to be Boseman’s return, but the biggest story draw is going to be the MCU debut of the Marvel Zombies. This is a concept ripped straight from the comics.
The extremely popular series was penned by Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman and drawn by Criminal artist Sean Phillips in 2005 as an extended riff on a What If story arc in Ultimate Fantastic Four. It introduced a world where all the Marvel heroes and villains were turned into flesh eating zombies who then went on to eat their way through the galaxy. It was followed by a PROFOUNDLY disturbing prequel comic by Kirkman and Phillips, Dead Days, and later by five (5) sequel miniseries.
Don’t be surprised if this Marvel’s What If…? episode spawns its own series.
Howard the Duck
After a few cameos in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies and Avengers: Endgame, our favorite comic book duck is back, hopefully in a meatier role in Marvel’s What If…?
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });

Why Making Black Widow Was Stressful for Scarlett Johansson!
Scarlett Johansson candidly reveals that mapping out the story for Cate Shortland's Black Widow film was stressful because there were no guidelines.
Making Black Widow was extremely stressful, Scarlett Johansson reveals. The long-overdue solo film for the only female in the original Avengers line-up was further delayed due to coronavirus. But now, Disney and Marvel Studios have decided on releasing it this July simultaneously in theaters and on Disney+.
Introduced all the way back in 2010's Iron Man 2, Black Widow had been in the franchise for nine years until she met her end in Avengers: Endgame. The creative decision to kill the character has spawned divisive opinions from fans, with some arguing that it's a massive disservice to the hero who had mostly relegated as a supporting player to her male fellow heroes. Marvel Studios is hoping that Cate Shortland's Black Widow appeases begrudging fans as the movie aims to not only deliver on giving Nat her well-deserved own solo film but also wrap up her story in a more satisfying way. To work around the fact that the character is already dead in the MCU, the standalone flick takes place in between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War.
Finally getting her solo movie was a welcome development for Johansson, but she reveals in a new interview with Total Film that crafting the story for Black Widow was very stressful. The actress points out that there were no guidelines as to what will be in the movie. While this sounds like Marvel Studios was simply relinquishing creative control to Shortland and writers Jac Schaeffer and Ned Bonson, it actually made it more difficult to crack the film's story.
"It gave us the opportunity to really show her when she's kind of off her game, you know? Because of that, anything was possible. You're trying to map out all of this...which is actually extremely stressful because there's no guidelines."
Schaeffer, who previously worked on WandaVision, revealed that writing for Black Widow was more difficult than the Disney+ show which backs up Johansson's aforementioned comment. It's also a testament to how tricky it was deciding on the narrative for the Shortland blockbuster and considering circumstances, this makes sense. For starters, the movie needs to be very careful not to contradict anything that's been previously established in the MCU about Nat. It's also important that the timeline checks out with regard to the events of Civil War and Infinity War. Finally, there's the immense pressure of delivering a satisfying conclusion to the hero's journey in the MCU.
Whether or not Black Widow delivers on its promise to wrap up Nat's arc in a completely fulfilling way remains to be seen. Despite its extended marketing period, plot specifics for the blockbuster are still scant at the moment. In fact, it's not even clear what Nat's actual mission is in the film. But while it ends her journey in the MCU, the movie will also serve as the introduction to Yelena Belova, who is tipped to take her place as the next Black Widow in the universe.

Weekly Recap | April 6-12
Tumblr media
I went on a bit of an Evanstan (re)reading spree this week as you can see!
Complete
character bleed by luninosity/ @luninosity (Evanstan RPF): In which Chris and Sebastian are cast as the leads in a Regency-era gay romance, and Chris has difficulty with a certain emotional scene...
ecce amore by Anonymous (Evanstan RPF | 3,8K | Teen): “You weren’t filming a sex scene in there.” Chris doesn’t have it in him to protest, anymore. Chris doesn’t think he even wants to deny it. He just needs this to be done. He’s not sure he’s going to last much longer with the pressure as it mounts again. “I think,” Sebastian tilts his head. “I think you might have been trying to make love.” (Inspired by luninosity's Character Bleed)
[End Scene] by Anonymous (Evanstan RPF | 2,1K | Teen): The Death of Captain America was, from conception to publication, one of the worst ideas Marvel had ever spawned. So of course: they film it, anyway. And he should not have been surprised by the way that it hits him. Runs him over and crushes him, skull to sternum, take after take after unforgiving take. The Death of Sebastian Stan is more accurate, to his mind. Admittedly, though: it doesn’t quite have the same ring to it.
Pleased To Meet You (Hope You Guess My Name) by Brenda/ @brendaonao3 (TJ Hammond/Steve | 7K | Explicit): Or: TJ and Steve meet cute in a Starbucks and shenanigans ensue.
Seas(on) The Moment by luninosity/ @luninosity, musette22/ @musette22, paperstorm/ @paper-storm (Evanstan AU | 4,6K | Explicit): Quarantine coping mechanisms. Or: Sebastian watches Chris's internet cooking videos, and falls in love. And posts a video of his own...
Let It Be Glorious by brucespringsteen (WW2 | 8K | Explicit): The sign above the entrance to the large factory says American Army Men Who Desire Showers Are Welcome, and it is hanging haphazardly; the letters are big and blocked, and messy, and the bolts securing it over the big double doors are rusted. Steve turns to Bucky. “What do you think?”
it's this sunrise by howdoyousleep/ @howdoyousleep3 (Sugar Daddy Steve | 4K | Explicit): He knows Bucky being grumpy and sleepy shouldn’t be so goddamn cute but, fuck, it’s the most adorable thing Steve’s ever been witness to (Part 11 of Modern Daddy Steve Rogers/Young Bucky Barnes)
WIP
Paradise Lost (& Found) by JJK/ @trenchcoatsandtimetravel (Modern AU | 30/? | 67K | Mature): Meeting at a tropical resort AU where Steve is there on a 2-week honeymoon package after his fiancee left him at the altar, and Bucky is there for his sister’s destination wedding but doesn’t have a room because there was a mix up with the reservations in the system.
💙 How to Fuck With (and Feed) Your Soulmate by BlueSimplicity/ @bluesimplicity73 (Soulmate AU, Shrunkyclunks | 13/? | 73K | Explicit): It’s called the Grey Space; a patch of skin marking you as blessed and the first sign you have a soulmate. Steve Rogers didn’t have one when he crashed into the ice. But he did when he woke up in the future. The second sign is the Sense, a sharing of one the senses to help soulmates find each other. Steve’s Sense, taste, is rare, but he loves a challenge and a soulmate is a gift from the Fates. Except instead of a blessing, it’s a curse, since his soulmate is a dick. Bucky Barnes loves food and a homecooked meal is something he cherishes. When his Grey Space starts to itch, Bucky can’t help his excitement, since the Sense he and his soulmate share is taste. But not for long. Whoever he’s bound to has the blandest diet in the world, ignoring all Bucky’s messages. After weeks of putting up with tasteless food, Bucky decides to strike back.
The Mnemosyne Project by onymousann (Post-WS | 5/? | 15K | Explicit): Someone’s trying to talk to the Winter Soldier. Steve intends to find out who. (Part 2 of ocean eyes)
💙 four dreams in a row where you were burned by voxofthevoid/ @voxofthevoid (canon divergent, post-Endgame, 1945 alternate timeline | 10/? | 58K | Mature): When Steve uses the last of his Pym Particles to travel to 1944 and save his best friend, he doesn’t have a plan beyond leaving behind the battlefield and living his life alongside the people he loves. But the life that finds him is not the one he expects.
Re-read
💙 just a couple lovebirds (we got a good thing) by luninosity/ @luninosity (Evanstan AU | 55K | Explicit): Sebastian grabs his laptop, and opens a new client file, and names it Evans, Chris.
Bro by eclecticxdetour/ @eclecticxdetour (Evanstan AU, Uni AU | 3,6K | Explicit): Sebastian gets dragged to a frat party and catches the attention of an attractive fraternity brother.
💙 (baby won’t you please) run your fingers through my hair by luninosity/ @luninosity (Evanstan RPF, BDSM | 20K | Explicit): “I can’t just Google sex dungeons,” Chris says, “even if it is for a role.” Sebastian says, “I might know a place.”
Commandments by eadunne2 (Evanstan RPF | 3K | Explicit): Thou shalt not fall in love with Sebastian. He makes it a rule even though he’s already broken it. He needs a reminder that it’s his own damn fault his heart is breaking. That he knows better.
Break Your Heart And Give You Mine by coloursflyaway/ @coloursflyaway (Evanstan RPF | 8,8K | Teen): Chris and Sebastian have never really been friends, but when Chris comes back to shoot yet another movie with Sebastian, everything changes.
when i'm with you by betoning (Evanstan RPF | 6,3K | Mature): In which a lovesick Sebastian is about to leave the dinner Team Cap filmed with Chelsea Handler.
What the Fuck, Why, What -- Fuck (and Other Boston Classics) by rallyonward/ @rallyonward (Evanstan RPF | 3,7K | Teen): So it happens like this: Sebastian calls Chris on a Tuesday.
notes from the in-between by radialarch/ @radialarch (Evanstan RPF | 4,8K | Teen): At some point, he thinks, he's stopped acting.
💙 It Takes Three (To Make A Thing Go Right) by Brenda/ @brendaonao3 (Steve/Bucky/TJ Hammond | 10K | Explicit): Or: Bucky and Steve meet TJ Hammond at a fundraiser and take him home with them. It's the start of a beautiful relationship.
💙 Recipe for Demi-saster by Imagineitdear (Modern AU | 24K | Explicit): When Steve finally realizes he isn't broken, he settles in for a nice life of cookie-baking and kinky porn. Gone are the days of trying to push himself into flirting, no-strings-attached sex, or awkward dates with near-strangers. Gone is the nagging self-doubt that he should want things exactly how everyone else does. Years later, on one of his least favorite days of the year, he re-meets one of said no-strings-attached hookups from his past. Who just moved in down the street and seems to want to be friends now. After having a great time for *once* on a Fourth of July, Steve wants the same. But he’s forgotten something rather important: for demi-sexuals, there's no place more dangerous than the friend zone.

I need to express my love for the Lotus Pier endgame post and I need you to know that my new fav au/hc is that in a Good Timeline, the Jiang Sect is the Chaotic Sect that every other sect are perpetually confused but delighted by and a little terrified of because they're kind of insane and cheerful in inappropriate situations but everyone just takes it because something has got to give after the LP massacre. They're just Like That.
I AM SO HAPPY TO HEAR THIS! :D :D I wrote that on my 7 hour flight moving halfway across the country, and I am glad my sleep-deprived delirium spawned a thing people enjoyed. ❤️❤️❤️
I am convinced that the Jiang Sect is the chaotic sect in every single timeline. Jiang Cheng with all of his spreadsheets and timetables and detailed notes tried once to be one with the chaos, but it just gave him heartburn and anxiety. Our grumpy grape Jiang Cheng who enjoys fun things like Organization and Forethought leading a sect full of gremlins is absolutely one of my favorite things. His life is just Like This. It brings me much joy. But also, I think it’s good for him! The disciples don’t care that he’s anal-retentive and yells at them! His love language is Salt and they know it and they love him for it! They are extremely loyal to him! They will merrily poke at his stab wounds, spike his afternoon tea with Hefeng liquor whenever he has to interact with Sect Leader Yao, and drag him away from his spreadsheets to every single pool party. All the guests from the other sects think Jiang Cheng is going to explode with rage, but the disciples just feed him umbrella drinks and makes sure he has some shade.
