The T. Swift Project
Song: All You Had to Was Stay
Pairing: biker!Thor x reader
Warning: 18+, minors dni! mention of biker gang; mentions of drinking/alcohol; and I think that's it. I apologize if I've missed anything but you are responsible for what you read.
Tumblr media
You were at one of local bars in town with a group of friends, who had convinced you to go out that night.
When Thor entered the bar with his biker gang, you couldn't help but fall for him.
You laughed when he called over to the bartender and said, "Ale all around!"
Throughout the night, you kept stealing glances at him and you swore he was doing the same.
It wasn't until you were getting a new drink at the bar when the two of you finally bumped into each other and introduced yourselves.
From that point on, the two of you were inseparable.
For months, you felt like the happiest you'd been in a long while and you loved how Thor treasured you.
One day though, he just upped and left without any warning. You couldn't help but wonder if you did something wrong.
Your friend Jane told you that sometimes it's just what the gang does, they just leave for no reason and then months, sometimes years later they return.
Weeks passed and all you could think about was how easily you let him in and how he had you in the palm of his hand.
Almost a year passed when the biker gang showed back up and Thor was at your doorstep, asking for you to take him back.
You'd moved on though and you told him it was just too late. If he had truly wanted you, all he had to do was stay.

Into Darkness [Chapter One] Petrichor [Loki]
Tumblr media
Summary: Born in Vanaheim, a realm associated with nature and magic, Asta Skírnisdóttir has always felt like she's never belonged. When she is ready, her father, Skírnir, a vassal of the fertility God Freyr, takes her to Asgard on a brief task where she meets Thor and Loki.
Upon a favor from Odin, to which she must retrieve the 'Chest of Strength', an artifact containing a mystical mirror that reflects the true aspects of the soul, she learns about her hazy past and the connection she has to the dark elves of Svartalfheim.
A/n: This is my first attempt at a Marvel story. The updates are going to be slow, so be patient, please. This story is heavily inspired by Nose Mythology, the MCU, and the comics. There might be facts I mess up so I apologize. Please enjoy.
Warning(s): implied/referenced death, original female character, Norse mythology, magic.
Skírnir, a sturdy man with fair hair knitted in 3 braids, tramped into the thick woodland, leaving impressions on the earth, soft from the heavy rain of the night before. In the glade ahead he halted to take in the petrichor of the forest. Its soothing fragrance made his tattooed skin tingle, but he was in too much of a hurry to appreciate it.
With a heavy sigh, he darted his keen dark eyes across the meadow. Drops of water shifted the blades of grass but otherwise, the glade was still. The deer that occasionally made this area their feeding ground were bed down somewhere nearby, a sign that Freyr, God of rain and fertility, had plans to bring more showers.
So what was she doing out here so early?
Skírnir stood and listened. Above the wind he heard a silvery voice, recognizing it as belonging to her. The tune she sang was familiar; one that he had heard eons ago on Midgard, the abode of mankind, though he knew that she hadn't heard it there, most likely her mother - who unfortunately passed - considering she never left the realm, not as he often did in the service of his Lord, Freyr.
He tramped toward the voice, coming to a halt beneath a large ash tree, and found her on a low branch with her stained maple wood bow resting in her lap. Her thin braided hair was dark, unlike his own, and fell down her back in a mess as she leaned against the trunk with her eyes on the meadow, albeit unwary as she didn't notice him approaching her.
"Asta! Did you not hear me calling you?!" Skírnir asked in an assertive tone.
The woman in question suddenly paused and glanced down at the wall of a man. His dark eyes were narrowed, but he didn't appear to be annoyed with her. Despite his sturdy, muscular physique, he was lenient when it came to her.
Sliding her bowstring over her shoulder, Asta descended the ash tree, careful not to dirty her linen tunic and apron. The glass beads across her chest attached to brass oval brooches on her apron, swung like a cord as she planted her feet on the ground.
"Forgive me, Father. I was lost in thought."
As she always was, he noted.
Skírnir saw the hunting knife attached to her leather belt and raised a scarred brow.
"Hunting were you? A day after a heavy storm."
"I am not daft," she retorted with a huff. "The deer are smart. They sense that rain is coming and their activity is altered."
Skírnir guffawed in pride, having taught her about deer and their patterns when she was old enough to shoot a bow.
"A fine observation."
He saw the grief in her blue-gray eyes and narrowed his own. Her feelings were something he as a father took notice of but was uncomfortable discussing. If only her mother were still alive; the reason for Asta's grief no doubt, as her memory of the woman was shrouded in confusion. Resting a heavy hand on her shoulder, he sighed deeply.
"Come. Let us return. I have something to ask you," Skírnir ordered.
Asta raised her brow and followed him from the glade. Her grief remained, but she was eager to know what her father had to ask of her.
"The time has come for Prince Thor to inherit the throne of Asgard. His coronation ceremony is in a month during Skerpla (May to June)," Skírnir brought up.
"Is Lord Odin ill?" Asta asked in interest.
She hated to think that he was dying, though the aspect of death was not something she assumed the All-father feared, considering in death he'd be granted passage to the halls of Valhalla where he would live forever in paradise.
"No… But he is aged," Skírnir answered briefly. "And as the eldest, Prince Thor is fated by the Norns to take his place as ruler of the Æsir."
Asta didn't know what to say. She had never met either of Odin's sons; Thor and Loki, but she had heard tales of them from Hogun the Grim, a member of the Warriors Three - along with Lady Sif - who often accompanied Thor. The Vanir warrior showed respect for the Prince and never spoke rudely of him.
She supposed he would make for a decent king, but she wasn't sure why her father was mentioning this to her. There was only one reason she could think of.
"Are you… Leaving again?"
Skírnir pushed aside brush from the path and chuckled; drops of water fell onto Asta's head as she passed, following close.
"I am not certain. Lord Freyr is sending me to Asgard this morning to confirm his attendance at the coronation, but often Lord Odin has a task for me."
Asta was aware. He along with his Gambanteinn, a magic wand, and the Sword of Freyr had done many favors for the All-father, being that he was a crafty vassal. As a child she recalled him leaving weeks at a time, the longest being a fortnight.
"I want you to go with me, should I have to go away again," Skírnir mentioned.
Her eyes widened.
"You jest."
Her father guffawed. He peered at her over his shoulder and found her shocked expression humorous.
"I do not. It is time you joined me. There is more to the Nine Realms than Vanaheim."
Asta felt much better. This news was astounding. She smiled cheerfully and quickened her pace until she was walking side by side with her father. She could not believe that he was finally allowing her to leave Vanaheim.
"Does this mean I too can go with you to Asgard?"
Skírnir hummed. He wasn't sure about taking her to the palace, considering she was not expected, but he supposed if she remained outside then Lord Odin wouldn't mind her sudden presence. It would be interesting to see if Heimdall, the Gatekeeper of Asgard, would open the Bifrost to her, knowing this.
"Very well," Skírnir uttered. "But you must do whatever I tell you. Do you understand?"
"When do I not?" Asta argued.
An assertive look from her father made her grin.
"I understand."

Skírnir deeply sighed. He wasn't sure this was a good idea. But he was pleased that Asta was in a better mood.
She hurried through the thick foliage and passed the treeline into the village where she was born. A small river cut through the clearing connecting to a larger river further northwest of them, providing farmers with an adequate ecosystem to raise livestock and grow crops. Her home, a wooden house with a thatched roof sat closest to the forest, not as big as the longhouse the chief, and the families who worked for him lived in, but just as pleasant, considering her father built it.
Njord's temple, the home of the Vanir ruler, was beyond the forest to the east, a place Asta rarely visited alone.
She slowed her pace and sauntered to the side of the house where burned into the ground was a mark of the Bifrost, a circular pattern branded with runes. Her father used this landing site often to avoid leaving scorch marks around the village. He soon joined her.
"Are you eager?" Skírnir asked with a grin.
Asta gripped her bowstring and agreed with a nod. However, her chest was tight with anxiety. The idea of a new realm, one quite different from the vast woodlands of Vanaheim that she was familiar with frightened her a bit. Then there was the Bifrost. Her father told her very little about it besides the fact it was like a bridge that allowed instantaneous travel within the Nine Realms; he claimed that it was rather intense.
"I have never traveled by Bifrost before. It is something to be eager about," she uttered, answering his question.
"We shall see how you feel about it after we arrive in Asgard," Skírnir retorted.
A feeling of dread turned her stomach. Asta took a deep and uneasy breath, attempting to calm her nerves.
"You tease. It can not be that unpleasant."
Skírnir grinned and glanced at the sky, leaving her statement unanswered.
"Heimdall! Open the Bifrost!"
A radiant beam of multicolored light shot down from the sky and consumed them. The petrichor of the forest soon faded away, replaced by the sweet and pungent smell of ozone.

I tell myself I can leave the Thor fandom but then people (_z184_ on Wattpad) put out actual novels that challenge the idea of humanity being inherently good and I have to lie back down on the floor on my Asgard-patterned rug and admit defeat

Being inclusive with your reader insert fic is a kindness. It tells people of color (poc) that you are considering someone who does not look like you in your fic. It shows love and dedication to our craft. It tells poc that they belong here too and they can see themselves in your story.
Poc aren’t look for activism in fic, we know fandom isn’t that serious, but we should be able to have that same level of escapism when we turn to fic and fandom. We belong here too. This space is for everyone, not just one group of people.
Just to give a few examples of how simple it can be: say “skin warmed” instead of blushed, say “cradled your head” instead of running fingers through hair, say “angles yourself to kiss” instead of standing on tiptoes, use italics to indicate Spanish to take out a throwaway line of “you didn’t understand Spanish” things like that. Small changes that do not impact the fic at all but make a world of difference in inclusivity!
And for anything you can’t/don’t want to change, simply add warning in the beginning. Things like hair descriptors, anything reader might wear, some backstory for reader (especially involving family or where the story is set), readers job, things like that. A lot of times just having that heads up before the fic makes a world of difference!
And one example of kindness we as writers always worked to change: until recently (just a couple years ago) it wasn’t common to label the gender of the reader. But those who aren’t female asked writers to label it so they know which to read and which to avoid, and now it’s common to label the gender/pronouns of the reader. So it is possible! It just takes effort! And I’m a writer myself so I know it can be done!
We can pretend to be a bartender or a bounty hunter or an actress or anything else. But we shouldn’t have to imagine we’re a white one.

I've been seeing people wanting a big fight between the riordenverse protags (Percy, Jason, Magnus, and Carter(and maybe Sadie)). Thing is though, if you threw a brick at Jason he would go down immediately. If there's water near Percy and the Kane's are going to be fighting for a while. And Magnus's only power is that he is a glow stick with a handkerchief boat and a disco sword. He's just going to say "Jack fight them!" throw him and then sit off to the side drinking a Caprisun.

Loki's Silent Sentry (Part 1)
Part 2 / Part 3 / Part 4 / Part 5 ( Part 6 in progress)
Pairing: Loki x female reader (y/n)
Summary: You are not just a soldier in Asgard's Royal Army, you are Lieutenant Y/L/N, Prince Loki's personal guard, his sentry and you are not supposed to fall in love with him. If you followed your training properly, you should never have even spoken to him. As a sentry, you are expected to remain silent and invisible as you shadow your appointed member of the royal family or member of the court protectively throughout their daily tasks.
Rumors (that happen to be true) begin to circulate through the palace that you serve the younger prince of Asgard both outside and inside his chambers. There is little you can do once word of your off duty activities spread through every maid, cook, gardener and seamstress in the palace. You soon find even the soldiers in your own company are now questioning how exactly you had come to earn your seemingly quick rise to lieutenant.
As the annual Winter Solstice Ball approaches, you come to the heartbreaking realization that your relationship with Loki must come to an end if you are both to fulfill your duties.
Warnings: Angst, arguing, Thor being an absolute ass, Odin being a terrible father
A/N: I did some googling quickly for military terms and ranks (since I have no previous knowledge of them) as well as some basic information about the royal guards in England. I took some of what I found interesting and then made up most of the rest to fit what I needed for my story so there will be some similarities. Also... I haven't written anything in like a year (maybe longer) so be nice please 💚💚
Tumblr media
You stand at constant attention in silence outside of Prince Loki's private office. You listen to the birds singing through the open window across the hall from where you are posted and wonder how long you could go without making a sound. You have been trained by the Royal Army for years to remain silent, vigilant, always listening and watching your surroundings for anything dangerous or out of the ordinary. You are always on guard, ready to protect Prince Loki should the need arise. Not that someone with his fighting skills or magic would need protection from a simple soldier like you. You were assigned this post purely because it was customary for each member of the royal family to have a sentry, whether they actually need one or not.
Your attention is drawn to the sound of footsteps approaching from your left. You are unable to determine how many people are coming but judging by their pace and heavy boots, they are most likely all soldiers. Commandant Thorn, the soldier in charge of your company, makes his way down the hall at a steady pace. He is followed by your captain, Captain Skye who is holding a leather bound book containing the names of all the sentries and their current posts. Trailing the two older men, are four low ranking soldiers you can't remember the names of.
The group of soldiers comes to a stop in front of you and your fellow guard and you both salute your commanding officers. "Lieutenant Y/L/N," Captain Skye says, opening his book for a moment. He closes it and looks up at you, "Prince Loki will of course be attending the Winter Solstice Ball. You will be required to escort him to the ballroom and remain on guard there until he dismisses you for the evening."
You nod in response, carefully hiding the heavy emotions you have surrounding the upcoming ball. The soldiers move on and you are left alone with the other guard again. She says nothing to you and even if you were allowed to speak, you know Sergeant Sands wouldn't talk to you. She is not your friend, none of the members of the Royal Guard are your friends. It wasn't always this way though, it is only since you were promoted to the rank of lieutenant that the guards you work with began to distance themselves from you.
You had been assigned to Prince Loki for three months when you were promoted from sergeant to lieutenant. Your fellow soldiers immediately assumed the young prince had a hand in it as he did little to hide how he favored you over the other guards who were previously assigned to him. The rumors about you spending the night in Loki's chamber instead of guarding it flowed through the palace soon after. You adamantly denied these rumors and any favoritism from the prince but it was a wasted effort. It also happened that the rumors were true to a point.
The door to Loki's office opens and you stand at attention as the court accountant exits, holding several rolls of paper and mumbling to himself. Sargeant Sands follows him without any orders needed, she is his sentry and will go where he goes. As she walks past by, she glances at you with what can only be described as a look of disgust. You look down at your boots, fully aware of what she is thinking.
You wait quietly for Loki to open the door again but you know him, he will want to read through all of his notes from today before he finalizes his meeting schedule for tomorrow. You have roughly half an hour until he will be done, half an hour to stand here and think about the dreaded Winter Solstice Ball.
Tumblr media
Another half an hour later, as expected, Loki opens the door and walks out. Waving his hand towards the door, he uses his magic to seal the room. He smiles warmly at you and you smile back at him for the first time today. This was your favorite part, the part where the sun goes down and Loki frees you from your constant silence.
He touches your cheek softly and leans in to kiss you. You kiss him back but pull away quickly as you hear footsteps approaching. You step away from Loki and stand at attention as Prince Thor comes around a corner. You keep your eyes straight ahead but you can feel Loki stiffening next to you, he and his brother get along much better when they are at court than they do in private.
The brothers greet each other politely and you silently wish the older prince would simply continue on his way but it doesn't seem likely. Your attention shifts to the window across the hall from you again, you can just barely glimpse the sunset over the tall evergreen trees in the distance. You know Loki will tell you if he and Thor discuss anything interesting so there is no need for you to listen to their conversation. The two of them continue for several long minutes before you realize Thor has said something to you.
"Lieutenant Y/L/N?" Thor says and you shake your head as you shift your focus.
"I'm sorry your highness, I was unaware you were speaking to me," you apologize. He had never spoken to you before and you were unsure why he would start now. Loki folds his arms across his chest and you feel uneasy at how annoyed he seems.
Thor laughs which does nothing to make you feel better. "I was wondering what it was about you that made you my brother's favorite," he says. "You must truly be special, a sentry's post typically only lasts three months, perhaps six at the most. You have been with Loki for how long now?"
You think for a moment before replying. You had been assigned to Loki for only a month before he first spoke to you and you had quickly become close friends. Three months after becoming friends with the prince, you slowly became more until you were completely in love with him.
"Fourteen months," you answer him in as few words as possible.
Thor looks at his younger brother with a smirk, "Fourteen?" Loki remains silent and you can tell his older brother is not even close to letting you leave soon. He turns his attention to you again, "So is it true then?"
"Is what true your highness?" you ask quietly.
"That you follow my brother's orders when you are wearing your armor and when you are not?" he laughs and his sentry smiles then looks towards the ground. "I could use a sentry like that, I grow tired of being followed by these shadows."
Loki's fist clenches but he answers Thor calmly. "Maybe if you learned your sentries name and weren't so insufferable to be around, they would remain at your service for longer than a month at a time," Loki says. "And you are the last person I would expect to listen to palace rumors. According to the most recent ones I've heard, you've slept with nearly half of the kitchen staff this month alone."
Thor smiles, proud of himself. You and Loki realize the stories you had overheard were true, if not understated. He explains, "That is why I assume the rumors of you and your little pet are true as well."
You find yourself in that brief moment wishing Loki would confirm everyone's suspensions. Not necessarily that you were sleeping together, that you were in love and wanted to be together. You know wishing for this is as useful as wishing it would rain gold. Once again you remind yourself that this is the way it will always be, until he marries a woman of high status and you are forgotten.
Instead of responding, Loki turns from his brother and walks down the hall towards the stairwell that leads to the royal family's chambers. You follow him silently, staying a few steps behind as always.
"Come now brother, I was merely joking," Thor calls from behind you but neither of you stop walking.
The two of you continue on in silence until you reach the top of the stairs and Loki's pace slows so he is walking next to you. His hand finds yours, his thumb gently stroking your knuckles. As soon as you feel his touch, you begin to relax.
"I'm sorry about my brother," he says quietly.
"His behavior isn't your fault," you reply. "And he is far from the first person to corner me about our relationship. I am used to denying the truth."
He stops, causing you to turn back towards him, your hand still holding his. He then takes a few small steps, closing the distance between you. Loki touches your cheek gently with his other hand. "I'm sorry Y/N," he tells you again. "I wish we didn't have to hide but you know there are some rules even I cannot break so openly. Maybe I should have hid my favoritism towards you better but I couldn't bear to have you reassigned. You mean too much to me."
You smile, "So I am your favorite sentry?"
He lets out a laugh, "You are my favorite person in the nine realms." You giggle at his answer and his fingers trail down your cheek until his thumb gently runs across your lips. He leans down to kiss you but just as his lips touch yours, you feel your heart jumps in your chest.
You hear several sets of footsteps and separate yourself from Loki in an instant. He looks down the hall as his mother, two of her maids and one guard come into view. She smiles brightly at both of you as she comes closer and you bow to the queen in respect. You find it hard to miss the side eye from her sentry or the whispers shared between her maids. Loki gives his mother a hug and wishes her a goodnight. She tells him to have a goodnight as well and continues on her way.
You and Loki walk off in the opposite direction towards his chambers and once you are alone again, Loki moves to take your hand but you flinch away. He looks hurt by your momentary rejection but he doesn't say anything. He knows how nervous you are about being seen touching him or speaking to him. You round the next corner and are flooded with relief as Loki's door finally comes into view. You fight the urge to smile, holding onto your composure as you've been trained.
Loki opens the door and steps inside, you follow him as you always do and he closes the door. He flicks his wrists towards you without a word and the heavy armor you wear over your clothing instantly settles itself neatly into a large chest. You take a few deep breaths, feeling as if most of the weight you have been carrying leaves you, but not all.
"Thank you your highness," you say out of habit.
"Please, never call me that in here," he reminds you gently. "In here I'm not a prince, I'm just Loki." He walks towards you and you don't realize you are moving away from him until your back hits the door and his body comes flush to yours. One hand settles on your hip while his other hand lifts your chin, causing you to look up at him. He continues, "And you are not Lieutenant Y/L/N, you are Y/N. The woman I am so deeply in love with." He smiles and you can't help but smile back at his words. All your worries vanish the instant his lips meet yours.
Tumblr media
You lay in Loki's arms watching the sunlight fill his room through the sheer curtains. You try to memorize the sound of his slow, steady breathing and the feel of his heart beat against your back as he holds you even in his sleep. You inhale deeply and focus on deciphering every herb and oil Loki uses to keep his hair soft. Closing your eyes, you use your senses to bring an image of Loki's face into your mind and try to hold it there.
"What are you thinking about my love?" he asks in a sleepy voice. You open your eyes and shift closer to him, pulling his arms tighter around your body. "Y/N, what's wrong?" he asks, now much more awake.
You swallow hard, trying to find the words. You had been thinking about what you needed to do most of the night but now that it was time, you weren't sure you would be able to do it.
"I've told you, you can speak freely here," he says softly, urging you gently as always to speak your mind when you were with him. His fingers move slowly up and down your arm as he tries to comfort you without knowing what is causing your distress.
"I need to transfer to a new post," you tell him. You hear him inhale sharply as his fingers suddenly go still.
Tumblr media
You stand outside Loki's office with Thor's new guard and two others in silence waiting for a very long meeting to conclude. You stifle a yawn and shift uncomfortably on your feet before regaining your composure. The tall guard standing across from you rolls his eyes while the woman next to him mumbles something that can only be about you.
It has been two days since you told Loki you wanted to transfer and you hadn't heard anything from your commanding officer. In the meantime, you decided to go back to sleeping in your assigned room at the soldiers quarters. You had forgotten how much you hated it there. The common areas are loud and there is little privacy, everyone is in everyone else's business. You barely leave your room, which is a surprise to no one. They wouldn't speak to you even if you did. You live in a world of utter silence surrounded by never ending noise.
You feel as if you are shattering from the inside out and you try to remind yourself that it needs to be this way. The two of you hid in his chambers as if it protected your relationship but it could never be real. How could it be when he could barely acknowledge your presence when in public. He is a prince and you are a soldier as were your parents, you were not high born. Loki is destined to marry the daughter of a council member and you will guard them and their children.
The door to Loki's office opens, you and the three guards stand at attention. Prince Thor walks out first, followed by two council members. They walk off in different directions, shadowed closely by their sentries but you remain, as always, at Loki's door.
Tumblr media
You stare at the wall in front of you for what feels like eternity. Your mind wanders between your favorite memories from your brief time with Loki and the crushing weight of your current reality. You stand up straighter when you hear the door swing open and Loki steps out.
"Lieutenant Y/L/N," he says, "I need to speak with you."
You nod and follow him into his office, closing the door behind you. You stand motionless, taking in his office and how much it feels like him. The dark wood bookshelves crowded with leather bound books, the chair pulled close to the window so he can see the garden below when drinking his afternoon tea, the green and gold accents on various pieces of furniture.
You sigh to yourself as you follow him to his desk. He takes a seat and you stand across from him with your arms behind your back, waiting for him to speak first.
"Y/N," he says informally but you don't relax. "Your transfer to a new post was not approved."
"Can I ask why your highness?" you keep the formalities as you've been trained.
"The Winter Solstice Ball is in less then a week," he answers as if you could forget. "The Royal Guard seems to be too busy tightening security and preparing for everyone's arrival to complete your paper work at this time."
"Understood, your highness," you say. "I should return to my post." You turn to head back outside of his office.
"Wait," he calls and you freeze just before you reach the door. You hear him get up from his seat and walk around the desk. "Please stay, talk to me Y/N. I miss you so much it hurts."
"I can't," you say almost in a whisper
He touches your arm and you turn to face him, seeing the pain in his eyes. "I miss the way your laughter filled my chambers. I miss hearing you hum to yourself when you think I can't hear you. I miss the sound of your voice and how easy it is to talk to you," he says and you force down a smile and the urge to hold him tightly.
"I can't bear to be without you," he tells you and you want to tell him you can't be apart from him either but you remain silent for fear you'll lose your resolve completely. He strokes your cheek gently and you close your eyes as you lean into his touch. "I love you," he says.
"I love you too," you tell him, seeing a spark of hope light his eyes. You shake your head and take a step away from him, "But I can't do this. I'm sorry." Before he can say anything else you tell him, "It will only hurt more the longer we wait to end this."
"We don't have to end this, now or ever," he insists as he steps towards you. "I promise I will find a way for you to be mine, not just when we are hidden away, but always. You believe me, don't you?"
"I want to," you tell him truthfully. Loki had promised several times to find a way to marry you but you thought it was false hope. "But this isn't a fairytale my prince, we don't always get a happy ending."
Tumblr media
You want to disappear into the marble floor, to be sucked into the wall behind you or simply vanish into thin air but you can't. Instead, you must stand perfectly still and silent as you watch the dancing and merriment around you. You momentarily wish you would go back to a time when you didn't feel an ache in your chest at the mere thought of another woman being in Prince Loki's arms. Shaking your head just slightly, you chase away the thought. As much as this hurts, you will always cherish the limited time you shared with him.
The music changes tempo as the first of seven courses comes to an end. Couples begin to take to the open floor in the center of the ballroom. Prince Thor and Prince Loki make their way to the group of single, eligible women awaiting them, each at a different pace. The older prince seems to now exactly which woman he would like to spend time with first. He offers his arm to her and declares her the most beautiful woman at the ball, causing her to blush and giggle. The younger prince takes his time walking to the crowd and simply takes the hand of the closest woman without so much as glancing at her. His lack of interest does little to dampen her excitement however.
The dozen or so women who were not chosen move away from the dance area and you have to hold back a groan as they gather directly in front of you to wait for a chance with one of the princes. You can't help but listen to them discuss which prince they think is better looking or who they would prefer picked them. The first song ends and the two princes each select another dance partner. Again, Prince Thor takes little time deciding who he wants while Prince Loki simply offers his hand to the first woman he sees. You can practically hear him sigh as she holds his arm and walks quickly to the dance floor.
As the second song begins, one of the women briefly looks at you over her shoulder before motioning towards you to her friends. Your ears go red with embarrassment as she tells them the rumors of your past relationship with Loki just loud enough that she knows you will hear. Of course she gets the ending wrong. She assumes, like everyone else, that the prince grew tired of you and banished you from his bed chambers. You had to admit, it seemed a far more likely story than the truth.
You shift your attention to the ceiling for a moment, hoping that counting the candles in the chandeliers will distract you from their stares and comments. You only count to twenty seven before the sound of a glass shattering draws your gaze back to the guests. A council member laughs loudly, clearly drunk already, as a servant cleans the wine glass from the dance floor.
Your eyes scan the room and easily find Loki at the center of the crowd, a third woman in his arms. Your drawn to his face, studying his features. He smiles at the woman as he twirls her and she giggles but she doesn't know him like you do. She doesn't know that's the smile he uses at court, not the smile he shows you. Showed you, you correct yourself. He glances away, not holding eye contact with her as they move effortlessly across the dance floor.
Tumblr media
After the final course is served, the dance floor fills for the last time and you sigh with relief that the night is almost over. You shift on your feet, looking down for a moment when the chatter of the women in front of you begins again. Why must they stand here to wait, you think to yourself.
The princes once again make their way to their potential dance partners and Thor makes his pick quickly. Loki stands in front of the women for a moment and your eyes lock with his as he looks between them.
"Pardon me," he says politely to the crowd as he moves forward, slipping past the confused women. He makes his way towards you and your breath catches in your throat. He stands in front of you and holds out his hand. You look at him, stunned by his actions. He smiles when you don't move, "Will you dance with me, my love?" Still you remain silent, looking past Loki to see how much attention his actions have drawn. "Don't look at them," he says, touching your cheek softly as you look at him again.
You steady your nerves and place your hand in his. The moment his fingers close around yours, you are surrounded by a light cloud of green, shimmery smoke. When Loki's magic fades, you are wearing a flowing emerald green gown with golden trim, perfectly matching his dress uniform. Your hair has been restyled to hold a small gold tiara with short horns, mirroring the helmet he had worn during his entrance.
"Gods, you look gorgeous in my colors," he says with a wide smile, causing you to blush. "To be fair, you are always beautiful but now it is clear to everyone here that you are mine." You feel as if your heart might burst when he calls you his, he had said it before but only when you were hidden away.
Loki keeps his fingers interlaced with yours as he leads you to the dance floor, straight through the group of now very angry women. Some cross their arms, others give you dirty looks and several make rude comments as you pass. You pause before stepping onto the dance floor, the chatter and stares coming from the guests near you holding you back. He senses your hesitation and leans down to place a kiss gently on your cheek.
Your mind can barely begin to process what is happening as he takes you straight to the middle of the dance floor. He places one hand on your hip and you place your hand on his shoulder as you had done so many times over the last few months. You and Loki shared several secret dances in his chambers and his office, he found it difficult to listen to music sitting still.
He holds you close, his eyes never leaving yours while you dance between the other guests. You focus on how amazing it feels to be back in his arms, ignoring the strange looks and whispers that surround you. He twirls you gracefully and you spin back into him, giggling as you final feel at ease. As the song draws to a close, Loki spins you one final time. When he pulls you back to him, he leans down slightly and your lips meet his.
Tumblr media
You smile up at him, hoping this isn't a dream when you see his mother approaching you. You take a step away from Loki but he keeps his hand on your waist, not letting you go too far. You bow to the queen and she says, "I think it is my turn to dance with my son."
You nod quickly in agreement and Loki let's go of you, his magic fading instantly as your armor reappears. You walk through the crowd with your head down and return to your post, once again wishing you were invisible. The women watch you, gossiping wildly as you pass again. You can only imagine what they are saying but they are not your biggest concern at the moment.
Anxiously, you watch Queen Frigga and her son move across the dance floor. You can't hear what they are saying of course, but you can tell by her expression that there will be consequences for his actions. As the song ends you see your captain approach you and your stomach drops. Loki will not be the only one to be punished for choosing you.
"The king had summoned you to the throne room," he says in a stern voice. You nod in acknowledgement and when you look back towards the dance floor, Loki and his mother are gone.

You know, seeing the Marvel situation in which they cut a quote where they confirmed Carol and Valkyrie used to date, made me think that the day where studios and big franchises realize, just for their own greedy interests, that the ppl that create most engagement are queer folk, they'll have to put more care in canonically queer characters and in queer stories.
Queer folks are the ones who: make fanart, make edits, write fanfiction, make blogs about it, make fandoms out of it, or just simply tweet or engage with official accounts. They are the ones who give you free publicity and you mistreat that public so much. You know how many shows/movies I decided to watch, how many videogames I decided to play, just bc I saw 1 cute gay fanart? Edit? And then I loved the product as a whole? A LOT.
Why do they think good omens s2 had such a good engagement? And it was so fun for the public? I need these franchises to wake tf up. This also comes bc these days I see a lot of transphobia in the Star Trek fandom bc of a trans trill. A TRILL. I'm not trans, but that scene in DS9 where Jadzia meets a long last klingon friend who knew her as Curzon and then called her Jadzia with the same love made me so happy, bc I have trans friends and i saw how hard it is. Star Trek has ALWAYS been woke and having to see those comments made my blood boil.
Stop making content for cis straight men, make content for the girls and queer ppl bc they are the ones who carry the weight of lifting your bland ass product.
Edit: I want to also add neurodivergent ppl to the sack. God if hyperfixations don't move mountains. I hope you don't get more autism powers doctors as representation

Just imagining what it would be like dating Loki and living with him, and like trying to get him to do chores. Just like imagine if it were raining outside, and so you haven't left the house in almost a week. At first it was kinda nice because you'd sit in Loki's lap while he's stretched out on the couch, braiding your hair while you're watching movies or listening to music or reading.
Loki is kinda lazy because he grew up being pampered by servants and his mother on Asgard, but he loves a clean home and being surrounded by nice things. He doesn't love doing chores, though. You guys would be lazy together for those first few days. Then the dishes would pile up, the plants would need watering, and the mailbox would be full of unpaid bills.
Since Loki is clueless about how bills work you would go to your desk by the window, grab your laptop, and the little pink spray bottle for the plants. "Get the plants, please," you'd say.
Loki would roll his eyes and probably over water the plants, but then magic them back to perfect health later -- you'd never need to know. Then he would start on the dishes, and you'd be on the phone arguing with the bank or insurance company. Then he throw himself down on the couch and look at you accusingly because for some reason you always insisted on balancing the bank account by hand and it always took forever.
"Y/N." He would say quietly and impatiently you while you chewed on your pen.
"Not now," you'd say, waving him off. "I'm almost done."
And Loki would flick his wrist, sending the pen flying from your hand.
"Loki!"
"Y/N!"
"What if the app is wrong?" You'd ask. "What if the account overdrafts and I have to pay a fee?"
Loki would round the desk. Then he'd reach over your shoulder and close the laptop with a click. "Then I'll get you more money to pay it off with."
"You wouldn't do anything illegal, though?" You'd ask uncertainly because it'd obviously be hard to tell if Silvertongue was lying.
"I make no promises," he'd smirk down at you. Then he'd pick you up, throw you over his shoulder like a ragdoll, and bring you back to the couch with him.

To Kill a God
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: The mission – Assassination of Loki Laufeyson.
Warnings: Light control and dominance, loathing, spanking, smut.
A/N: We're just gonna pretend the events takes a different route after the Battle of New York.
Personal A/N: Apologies for how long it's been. Was dealing with some personal things, including a pretty bad injury that I'm now recovering from. I also tend to write really slow. Please enjoy! Comments/feedback & reblogs are always much appreciated! 💚
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
Nights like these were the best time to work. Silent, still, dark. A hunter on a mission for the next prey. But this one was new; you'd never hunted a god before. Breaths were drawn slow, methodical, focused. Keep your heart rate down, keep your steps in check.
You had been kept in the shadows of the Avengers, not fitting in with the pretty boy heros, genius doctors, or sexy vixens. You were a wallflower, a nightcrawler.
Sure, Black Widow, she was cute with her fancy moves and killer body. But you? They never even hear you coming.
With grace and stealth, you had slipped into Asgard undetected when the portal opened up to take Thor and Loki home after the Battle of New York. The rush to this new world had been nauseating, but with breaths through your nose to compose yourself, you slipped into the shadows.
The streets of Asgard were crowded and foreign, vendors shouting to grab your attention, new smells, twinkling lights and glimmering colors. A fine silk robe was lifted from a distracted shopkeeper, promising yourself that you'd return it once the mission was complete.
In only a few hours, you had worked your so-called magic to obtain the intel needed and now stood in the main hall of the Asgard royal prison. It had taken a bit of eavesdropping on a table of drunken guards and the power of persuasion with another to allow you entry into the palace's main gates. A small amount of combat and you had forced your way into the prison compound.
Adrenaline pulsed through your veins, knowing you were close. Turning the corner, the prisoners were found fast asleep in their glass panel prison cells. And then, you stopped in your tracks and held your breath. The raven haired terror, that pathetic excuse for a god, slept only a few meters from you. He looked peaceful, almost gentle, but looks were deceiving. You reminded yourself that he was ruthless and cruel, but not for long.
Knowing there were only minutes before a slew of Asgardian guards would come rushing in, you worked diligently to shut down the currents running through the security system. Loki stirred in his bed, but didn't awaken. The dagger was heavy, but it was all that was needed to finish the mission.
Hand firmly on the hilt, you took quiet, determined steps to his bed, taking one last look at the god in front of you, then bared your weight as you went for his heart. But there was no impact as his body faded away to nothing.
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
How peculiar it was, these small other worldly creatures who thought they could defeat a god. In the shadows, he tsked at the young thing in front of him. So impatient, so immature. Who did they think he was? He emerged slowly, a sinister smile dancing on his face. You turned abruptly, eyes going wide knowing your advantage was lost…or had never been there to begin with.
"Did you really think you could slay me?" He chuckled to himself, very amused by this predicament. "I assure you, girl, it will take more than a knife and leather leggings to take down the god of mischief."
With a futile attempt, you lunged at him. He grabbed you like a rag doll, twisting your arm in an awkward angle until the metal clanged on the floor. A whimper escaped and he let go before it dislocated, only to wrap his hands around your throat and bring you to eye level with him. He watched in satisfaction as you struggled, choking and clawing at his hands.
"Don't worry pet," he leaned in closely to whisper in your ear. "I won't kill you, not yet. There'd be no fun in that."
He drew a finger down the side of your face, relishing in the thoughts of all the things he could do to his new captive, when a booming voice echoed through the prison corridor. "LOKI?!"
He sighed to himself in annoyance, always the killjoy to his fun. "Here, brother."
Thor stood in front of the prison cell, taking in the scene before him: Loki standing calm and poised, a small girl held at arm's length from the neck, face turning red, toes dragging on the ground. "What's going on here?"
"Well, dear brother, it appears our security is not what it once was. I caught this one lurking around." Your eyes darted to his. Why did he withhold the truth?
Thor squinted, cocking his head to the side to get a better look at you. And then, your name left his lips like an incredulous question.
Loki's face went from a look of surprise at his brother's recognition of you to amusement at what this meant. "You're Midgardian," he mused.
"Loki, release her," Thor demanded, hearing you struggle in his grip.
"I'll tell you what. Allow me to go back to my chambers freely, and this little minx will be handed over to your care."
"Loki…" Thor gave a gutteral warning. He was treading on thin ice, but they both knew who had the upper hand.
"It's a fair trade. It's clear she is important to you." Loki's eyes locked on yours. "Release me…or I crush her windpipe."
You flailed uselessly in a panic, his grip growing tighter, causing your eyes to water, face slowly turning to shades of purple.
"Fine, Loki! Go back to your chambers."
A look of satisfaction as he dropped you to the floor. You collapsed and breathed in deeply, rubbing the sensitive skin around your neck. Thor called the guards: two to escort you back to his personal chambers and another two to allow Loki free access to his wing.
Loki stepped over you as he left, clearly pleased with how his evening was ending. This wasn't over, but it was for now.
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
Thor had given you free reign of his chambers for the time being, instructing a few maidens to assist with your care, tending to any wounds, assisting with bathing and dress, although you insisted on doing the majority yourself. He found you the next morning after some rest, fully pampered and lounging on a chaise, feet and shoulders massaged by maidens.
"I could get used to the life of a prince," you teased when he came into the chambers. He ignored your jest and sat down looking troubled.
"Leave us," he ordered the maidens, watching until they filed out of the room. When the door shut, he turned to face you. "I have spent the last few hours trying to comprehend why you would come to Asgard without my knowing, and have yet to come up with a reason that doesn't involve violence." Your arms folded as he looked for any admission of guilt.
"It's classified, Thor." Your voice stayed steady and strong, and his jaw tightened. He grabbed a goblet from a nearby table and threw it against the wall, making it shatter, but you didn't flinch.
"I will remind you," he said slowly, "that right now you are on my planet, and not under Tony's protection."
You blinked at the mention of your employer and ally's name.
"You know I won't break, Thor. If I were a threat, wouldn't Loki have requested to have me locked up in one of your prison cells?" Thor considered your words. "In any case, I will leave you in peace and return to Midgard. I'm sure you have enough to deal with right now."
"No…. I think you'll stay as our guest for a while. We have some chambers available on the east wing." Your stomach twisted at what his words really meant. A guest, disguised as a prisoner. Thor stared you down.
"And, if I refuse?"
Now Thor crossed his arms, leaning back on the chaise. "You've seen our prison cells. They can be quite accommodating as well."
You smiled at his offer. "The east wing will be fine."
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
The maidens took lead to the east wing; you attempted to map the halls to memory, but after the twelfth turn, considered it was futile. You'd be lucky to find your way to freedom, let alone finding your primary target.
A brunette opened the door to the chambers, a hand held out to guide you in. "If you need anything, we will be right outside to assist."
Great, I have watchdogs.
The rest of the afternoon was spent in the adjoining apartments, studying from the open window the trimmed gardens, the various exits, the guards that roamed the outer courts and how often they changed. When your stomach started to rumble with hunger, like clockwork there was a light knock on the door, followed by a maiden poking her head in.
"Excuse me, my lady. Your presence is requested in the dining hall."
As you followed the silent maidens, you tried speaking as casually as possible. "Is Loki's chambers in the east wing?"
"No, my lady."
You frowned. "I would assume he has a full wing to himself?"
"If the prince wishes for you to know where his chambers are, he will show you the way."
The other maiden giggled quietly, then pulled herself together quickly before being seen. No doubt they assumed you were looking to bed the prince, not that you would correct them if it took focus off the real reason to be here.
The dining hall was as elaborate as it was giant; high backed velvet chairs, a table that went on forever it seemed, vaulted ceilings adored with golden arches and cherubs, servants stationed every few meters. It was hard not to feel completely out of place, but Thor made you feel welcomed enough, having plate after plate of the most decadent food placed in front of you. You had to hand it to Thor, he had learned to become more sly, perhaps by watching how others on the team worked. He made small talk about Midgard and the team, but would casually add a question here and there about why you were in Asgard.
You were tight lipped; it would take more than being wined and dined to make something slip. Mid-conversation, the door creaked and the guards and servants straightened up. Footsteps clicked on the marble floor around the corner out of view, but you already knew who was approaching.
When he appeared, his eyes darted from Thor to you but his face was like a stone, unreadable. He tilted his head to consider you, no doubt admiring the marks he'd left on your neck the night before. "Have we lowered ourselves to now dine with common criminals?"
He watched as your jaw set and heard Thor's booming laugh. "Loki, I'd like you to formally meet my friend–"
At the mention of your name, he scoffed. "We met. Might I advise that you be more particular in who you acquaint yourself with, brother."
"Like you?" Arms crossed, you leaned in the chair in defense. He was as annoying as he was cocky.
He watched the pulsing of the vein in your neck, the slight reddening of your face; he was getting under your skin. Good.
"My dear, I have more greatness in the tip of my finger than you in your entire being."
You scoffed. "Greatness, huh? Seems like that greatness delusion is what brought you back up here in chains."
"And yet," he said, holding out his arms, "no chains. Although, I guess I have you to thank for that."
Internally, you were screaming. Fantasies of diving across the table to gouge out his eyes and claw his face played in your mind. He was insufferable. Agitating. Annoying.
You needed to finish this mission and escape Asgard. The sooner this world was rid of Loki Laueyson, the better.
You stood, your plate of food unfinished, turning to Thor with a plastered smile. "Thank you for the lovely meal, Thor. Please, excuse me."
You wouldn't dare look at Loki, but you could feel his eyes on you, causing the hairs to raise on the back of your neck.
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
The halls had been quiet for hours and the only light in your room came from the glow of the moon and candlelight. You'd waited until it was almost inevitable that the maidens would have fallen asleep at their posting. Slipping by them was easy.
The occasional guard roamed the halls, but as you expected, was not as sharp. You slipped by two undetected, a third was put into a sleep hold and dragged into the shadows before anyone could be alerted.
The North Wing was far more rich in decor and aesthetics, with golden pillars and chandeliers. Loki's chambers were here, you were sure of it.
A sparkle of green in the shadows caught your eye. Was it a trick? Maybe, but he wouldn't take you by surprise this time.
The door was heavy and your steps were light as you entered the room. It was dark and smelled of cedar and leather. He was nowhere in sight, but you still kept to the walls.
A faint flicker of light in the next room caught your attention, a crackling fireplace, and there he appeared, reading in an oversized plush chair.
"You know, you're not as subtle as you think." He flipped the page, not even giving you the courtesy of looking up. "Thor had mentioned you were stealthy like a cat or something, but my oaf of a brother has about as much stealth as you do."
Your cheeks reddened in spite of yourself. He was absolutely infuriating. "Why did you lie?"
He finally looked up from his book, sliding a bookmark into the crease, a smirk playing on his lips. "You do realize that I'm the god of lies, don't you?"
"You could have told Thor why I was there, what I tried to do, and have me locked up. Why didn't you tell him?"
He made you feel so small when he stood, setting the book on a nearby coffee table. "Now where would the fun in that be?"
Taken aback, you blinked in response. "This…. This isn't a game."
He tsked and long daggers were revealed in his hands. "Darling, it's the best game there is."
He came forward at a fast pace. Your own weapons were drawn from your belt, ready to attack. Metal clashed in the middle of his study. He was impressed by your speed and agility, but he caused the first cut, a minor wound on your bicep. You responded by kicking him off his feet to pin him to the ground for only a moment before he flipped you over your head, losing one of your daggers in the process. With your hand free and he distracted, your fist made contact with his face.
A slur of curses were emitted. "You'll pay for that."
"We'll see." You smiled cockily, coming at him, but he was ready and provoked. One minute you had attacked him, a swipe of your blade and another punch blocked. The next minute, you were bent over and pinned to his desk. One of his hands had grasped your wrist, still gripping the dagger, the other hand on the back of your head. His body pressed into yours as you writhed and struggled, bucking your hips, kicking your leg out, but he was much too heavy.
"Let me know when you're ready to yield." He was very amused.
"Fuck you."
He laughed in a huff. The grip on your wrist went tighter. "Drop it," he demanded.
Any attempt at freeing yourself was proved useless. The dagger clattered on the desk and he tossed it aside, his own going back into his invisible pocket.
"Good girl. Now tell me you yield."
Silence. You'd rather die than give him the satisfaction.
"Suit yourself," he said. "It seems to me like you Midgardians need to be taught some manners." And slowly, his hand was brought to your back, running down the length of your spine. Teeth clenched, eyes squeezed shut, you tried to remove yourself from the moment, knowing more than likely what was coming from the dominant, power-hungry male. But then, smack!
Your eyes shot open, the sting of your ass cheek startling you. Another hard spank, the sting almost making you yelp as your body went forward.
"Now," he said calmly, evenly in your ear as you looked straight ahead. "You have two options." Smack! "One, you stop being stubborn and admit your defeat." Smack! "Or two, you stay on this desk until I decide you've learned that lesson." Smack!
Your legs trembled as you held onto the edge of the desk. You hated him, hated this… and yet, a warm ache started to slowly whisper within. No, you couldn't… With every ounce of strength, you tried to block it out. "What… what are you gonna do to me?"
He chuckled and you couldn't quite tell if it was out of amusement or something darker. "Not to worry, my pet. I only bed willing participants."
His hand rested on the small of your back and he leaned forward. "Now, tell me. Have you learned your lesson?"
He caught your eye and you struggled to answer. How did you reply without letting him win? Maybe, if you said yes, he would lower his defenses and then you'd— Another spank caught you by surprise and a yelp escaped in spite of yourself. "I asked you a question and do not enjoy repeating myself."
You took a shaky breath, he had you so off guard and you hated how it was making you feel.
Looking up, you gave him the best innocent look you could muster and nodded slowly. He reached for the back of your head, gripping your hair to tilt your head up towards him with a jerk. "Have you?"
"Yes," you choked out. You hated him! You hated him! You hated him!
He considered you, bent over his desk, head bent back violently so, breathing heavily and shaking, and then, he just let you go. You stood after a beat, confused and feeling embarrassed.
"Leave," he demanded, walking out of the study to another room. Red-faced, your stomach churned. Did he seriously just…
"Hey!" you shouted, following his path to the other room, but when you got there, he was gone. Searching room by room, your anger built as you found each one empty.
A rage burned through your veins as you stormed down the hall toward Thor's chambers. You were done with this mission, with these stupid mind games, with the princes of Asgard. You wanted to go home and call the mission what it was–a failure.
Done with courtesy and manners, you barged into his chambers without warning. "Thor, I need to talk to you–"
The words caught in your throat as you stopped in your tracks, finding Loki already there. Thor said your name like a pleasant surprise. "You look an absolute wreck! Are you alright?"
"Wha–" the words caught in your throat as you looked down at your shifted top, feeling your face redden, hair a mess.
"Well, no matter," Thor continued. "Your ears must be ringing, we were just discussing your return to Midgard."
"You… you were?"
Loki's lack of eye contact was not lost on you.
"Indeed," Thor continued. "My brother believes that we have no use of you here and should send you back immediately. His words, not mine." Thor laughed, caused by your startled expression and Loki's uncharacteristic silence. "But, as neither of you are willing to speak freely on what matters are going on, I reject this request."
Both you and Loki raised your voices, you taking a step forward. How long did he plan to keep you here against your will?
Thor raised his hand. "You both think me a fool, but until I know why you are here, I will not change my mind. Classified or not."
Your jaw clenched, fists tightened, and you stormed out of his chambers, slamming the door behind you.
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
Loki winced as the door slammed. "I don't believe she was happy with your decision."
"No, I think not. Anything you care to tell me?"
Loki shook his head. "There is nothing to tell. She's a nuisance and Asgard should be rid of her."
Thor placed his hand on his brother's shoulder. "Loki, you may be the god of lies, but even I can see through this one."
Loki left the chambers deep in thought. He absolutely despised Midgardians–mortals who risked their lives every day, absolute fools they were. Pompous, annoying little gremlins.
And yet, he had enjoyed the little game he was playing with you. You were a challenge for him and getting under your skin was pure pleasure. But, there was something in the look you gave him as he held your head up that he knew. It made him realize he was playing with fire, and this game was getting too dangerous. He needed to rid himself of you.
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
Almost a week had passed and he hadn't reappeared. You'd toured the gardens, the library, the royal throne room, dined in their mess hall and terrace multiple times; it was clear by day three that he was actively avoiding you, and somehow that was even more irksome. It should have been a relief to be rid of his annoying presence, but you were equally on edge. What if he caught you off guard? The possibilities of what would happen were endless with that twisted mind of his. Torture you? Strangle you at night? The nights were restless, with every creak and whistle of wind making you jump.
By day five, enough was enough. If Thor wouldn't budge in sending you home and Loki wouldn't show himself, you would take matters into your own hands.
The nightly strolls through the halls were becoming commonplace, and it wasn't long before the familiar chamber doors stood before you again. The rooms were illuminated by moonlight. He was deep asleep in his bed, bare-chested with only a sheet to cover him at the hips. Your dagger was unsheathed and slowly you pressed it to his neck. His eyes opened and he took a sharp breath inward.
"Don't move," you whispered.
"Alright." His voice was steady.
"You're going to help me leave this planet."
His eyebrows raised in surprise. "Am I?"
"Yes."
"And…what if I refuse?"
You pressed the dagger harder to his neck. He could see the desperation on your face. "I don't think you are in a position to refuse."
He smirked at you, like he understood a joke you weren't in on. "Didn't you come to Asgard to kill me?"
He was absolutely the most abhorrent person you'd ever met. Why would he bring this up? Should you kill him? He was right there, the knife pressed to his neck. One swipe and…
He grabbed onto your arms, taking you out of your thoughts and pulling you closer to him. "Do it."
You blinked and froze. Something in your stomach twisted. "I… I can't. Why can't I kill you?"
In a quick motion, he rolled you onto your back, his weight heavy. Your hand shook and he leaned in, pressing down on the dagger, further and further, until his lips met yours. Your breath was lost and the dagger slipped between the two of you to clatter onto the floor. He gripped onto your clothes, pulling and tearing and breaking.
He wasn't gentle, wasn't kind. There was no room for romance or making love. It was carnal, rough. A desire that neither wanted to admit to themselves.
Pain in the most pleasurable form, as his lips pressed hard onto yours. As clothing was torn in desperation. As your undergarments were stretched and discarded until you were just as naked as he. His eyes and mouth and fingers explored the areas only meant for a lover.
His long digits played with your silky folds before delving into the warm wet center, causing you to shiver in delight. You reached down between your bodies to grasp on an already stiff cock, making it throb, a moan emitting from him like an ache that hadn't been relieved in years, before he took your hand from beneath him and placed it above your head. In a swiftness, he sheathed himself inside you, causing your eyes to grow large, your head to come forward, your teeth to sink into his skin. He shifted, looking down at you, the minx who had wanted him dead, and thought how beautiful and fragile you were. He could have snapped you in two like a twig if he had wished it. Instead, he'd punish you until you came, over and over again; tattooing his existence on your soul for the rest of your eternity.
The angle of his cock rubbed in a way you'd never felt before by any Midgardian man, and soon your body was convulsing below him. He let you ride out your high before flipping you onto your stomach and penetrating from behind. A shaky high-pitched moan emitted from you, making him smile in satisfaction. He wrapped his hands around your throat, bringing your head up higher to whisper with a smile, "I think you've admitted your defeat."
"You never shut up, do you?"
"Never."
With a smack of your bottom, he thrust into you until he was spent and you were ruined. The silky sheets of his bed melted into your skin as you lay quiet in thought after. You didn't fail missions. You also didn't fuck them. Contemplating what you'd write on your report, Loki emerged from the other room, dressed and ready to take you back to Midgard. He handed you the clothes you first arrived on this planet in.
As you dressed, preparing for your arrival back home, you studied him. He was, without a doubt, the most abhorrent, irritating person you'd ever met. And yet, something drew you to him that you didn't understand.
"Alright," he said when he saw you were dressed. "Let's get you back to where you belong." You nodded, wondering if you'd ever see him again, hoping you wouldn't…but not for the reason you'd expect.
