A week of love, a holiday of expectation, and performance pressure. How about this.. take all of your hopes and Valentine's Day dreams and give them to yourself. If you are not willing to romance your self in a bubble bath with champaign, or on a bed of rose petals.. how can you expect that door to be open for some else to be there for you in that way? Under all of the chocolate and trappings, what is it that you really want? ... I was playing with heart openers on my mat today, under the guise of writing some fabulously witty post about opening the heart. blah, blah, universal love, blah blah... I have walked out there.. i do walk out here open, raw, and vulnerable. What I have learned is that walking love and heart forward, but not centered in oneself, can become a life of desperation, clinging, and attachment. That is all the language of suffering. Placing our hearts in others hands is a recipe for disaster. No matter how much they care, or how good it is, it creates a hunger that cannot be satiated. This Valentine's day, put your heart in your own hands and be fed. Do you trust yourself with something so precious? Do you have the strength to truly love and romance yourself? To love you because of your flaws that are so stinking adorable. ... On my own journey of self compassion I have found that a lovers quarrel was needed. I had to sit down with myself and get real about how I was treating me. Have the hard conversation. Cry. Break up. Take space, and rejuvenate. This year I am taking myself out, write myself a love letter, surprise myself with a ring. I am gonna trust myself with my own vulnerability. Kalkınma Bankaları fosil yakıt yatırımlarını desteklemeye devam ediyor

“E3G” ve “Oil Change International”, Dünya Bankası Grubu (World Bank Group) ve Uluslararası Para Fonu’nun (IMF) 2017’deki yıllık toplantılarının öncesinde, çok taraflı kalkınma bankalarından bazılarının iklim hareketi konusunda ilerleme kaydettiğini ancak çoğunun artan iklim değişikliği etkilerine ve Paris Anlaşması gibi küresel taahhütlere rağmen hala fosil yakıt projelerine milyarlarca dolar değerinde finansman sağladığını bildirdi.

E3G ve Oil Change International’ın ortak yayımladığı bilgilendirme notları, hükümet destekli çok taraflı kalkınma bankalarını Paris Anlaşması’nın amaçlarını desteklemek ve fosil yakıt finansmanından temiz enerji finansmanına geçmek konusunda teşvik etmek amaçlı 30’un üzerinde sivil toplum kuruluşundan oluşan “The Big Shift” (Büyük Değişim) kampanyasının bir parçası niteliğinde. Kampanya, Dünya Bankası’nı fosil yakıt yerine, temiz enerji yatırımlarına destek vermeye ve enerji yatırımlarının insan hayatı üzerindeki etkisi konusunda şeffaflığa çağıran bir koalisyon tarafından yürütülüyor.

Düşük karbonlu ekonomiye geçişi hızlandırmak için çalışmalar yürüten bir düşünce kuruluşu olan ve iklim diplomasisi ve riski, enerji politikası ve iklim finansmanı konularına odaklanan E3G’nin hazırladığı çalışmanın temel bulguları aşağıdaki gibi özetlenebilir:

·         Hükümet destekli çok taraflı kalkınma bankaları (ÇKB) yeşil finansman konusunda gerideler. İklimle ilgili genel harcamaları fosil yakıt harcamalarından daha yüksek olmasına rağmen, fosil yakıt yatırımlarının durdurulması ve iklim finansmanının arttırılması konusunda yeterli ilerleme henüz kaydedilemedi.

·         Oil Change International tarafından yapılan çalışmaya göre, Aralık 2015’te imzalanan Paris Anlaşması’na rağmen, ÇKB 2016 yılında toplam tutarı 5 milyar doların üzerinde fosil yakıt projesi finansmanını onayladı.

·         E3G karşılaştırmalarına göre, Amerikalılar Arası Kalkınma Bankası (Inter-American Development Bank), ÇKB arasında en yüksek yeşil-kahverengi oranı*na sahip. Avrupa İmar ve Kalkınma Bankası (EBRD) ve Dünya Bankası Grubu ise ÇKB arasında en düşük yeşil-kahverengi oranına sahip bankalar.

·         E3G tarafından yapılan analiz, iklim finansmanı olarak rapor edilen bazı projelerin aslında fosil yakıt projeleri olduğunu ortaya çıkardı. Avrupa İmar ve Kalkınma Bankası’nın, Azarbaycan’da denizde gaz araştırma projesi olan Lukoil Shah Deniz Stage II finansmanını 10 milyon dolar değerinde iklim finansmanı olarak gösterdiği belirtiliyor.

·         E3G ve Oil Change International ortak yayımladığı bilgilendirme notlarında, petrol ve doğalgaz desteğini kaldırmaya yönelik ilk adım olarak, ÇKB’nın kömüre tüm desteğin ve yeni fosil yakıtların rezervlerinin araştırılması için finansmanın derhal durdurulması gerektiği belirtiliyor. Afrika Kalkınma Bankası ve Asya Kalkınma Bankası finansal risklere dayalı fosil yakıt araştırmalarını desteklemeyi halihazırda kabul etmiyor ve diğer ÇKB’nın da bu tutumu örnek alması gerektiği belirtiliyor.
