How my Visual Novel is going

This is a post about my upcoming visual novel. I have just started and well, I'm struggling making backgrounds but I have all of the sprites done.

This is a little taste of the first chapter and the start of the second. But since I recorded it, I've added another scene.

Semi-Bi-Weekly Idea 4: An Improved CORE Frisk

The above image is my concept for an improvement on CORE Frisk's design.

Their original design is functional, but flawed.

CORE Frisk's visual design successfully communicates that they are different from Frisk Undertale, but it fails to properly communicate their origins as a 'goner'; a eldritch being condemned to immortality like Gaster and his followers.

Instead, the monochromatic color scheme and inky black eyes in combination with their otherwise unchanged design makes CORE Frisk appear as a ghost of Frisk, which isn't quite true.

By turning the stripes on their shirt into holes in their body that resemble a smiling face, and adding markings on their face that imitate tears as a reference to Gaster, I think I successfully communicated their origins of being shattered across space and time.

Personally, I'm satisfied with how my version of CORE Frisk fits in with Gaster's followers.
