hi guys I am in an angsty mood :D
anyways
How do we feel now that qSlime finally has someone (he can count on) to be there? Like yeah, everyone else has tried once before but how many of them have actually stuck around to help? It seems like everyone else is hesitant around him to some degree.
Hell, even Tubbo was worried about leaving Sunny in Charlie's care for the rest of the day !!! (understandably though, king! qTubbo doesn't know qSlime much. they like spoke a bit pre-purgatory. a little bit during Purgatory. and this is their first interaction since. he hasn't had much of a chance to warm up to Charlie properly. that being said: no hate to Tubbo <3 he just loves his daughter)
But like Sunny said that she's heard about what he did. And she was like "yeah, okay, you did that. but you can be a good person !" and if that isn't someone he can count on to help him heal then we're not talking about the same person

Hoop for Episode 63 - The Light At The End Of The Tunnel, for @lec_bayo who kindly donated to @crawlingrot 's top surgery fund. Thank you!!
"Somewhere in my mind, I remembered the flash on my camera, and my fingers instinctively flicked the switch.
As I pressed the button, the screaming stopped, with a wet snap, and for the worst moment of my life, an explosion of light shot through the darkness.
I saw Luke hanging in the air. There was nobody around him, but on the wall, in stark, black outlines, I saw two long, thin shadows standing beside him. On each, I saw one spindly arm gripping his shadow by the shoulders, while the other held up the shadow of his torn-off head.
In front of me, the real one just hung there, dangling as if by some invisible thread, blood dripping onto the body below it."

I understood what real happiness is while reading the last sentence of If We Were Villains.
I mean.. oh, man. IT WAS PURE JOY. I was bawling my eyes out, and smiling sheepishly at the same time.

last line tag
whoa, parm is finally writing something again? what on earth could it be?? it's some chilumi for a dear friend of mine who requested it and writer's block or not, by god i've been picking away at it one sentence at a time. but it's NSFW (the usual with me) so this is the last sentence that is somewhat appropriate enough to not have under a read-more. every sentence after this one is a minefield of peepees and hoo-hahs.
Transformed or not, Childe isn’t nearly so callous as to go faster than Lumine can handle.
thanks for tagging me @henbased and i'm gonna tag @sweatandwoe @a-gal-with-taste @ink-and-dagger @vasiktomis (i'm real excited for vas'...) @insult-2-injury @xanamnesis and whoever else would like to do this! just tag me in it so i can see your tasty crumb. don't be shy.

Thinking about modern AU with childhood friends HuaLian where for the longest time, XL was the only person who celebrated HC’s birthday with him. XL who bought the cake and candles, made the most meaningful gifts despite how much HC discouraged it, and gave cute birthday cards that HC keeps for years to come.
And then comes HC’s 30th birthday. They’re fully adults now and live a simple yet happy life together. Still growing, still making precious memories, still falling in love…
Except now, HC has an actual party for his birthday. He has been since their college days - with new friends and old ones coming into their lives. XL is as enthusiastic as ever too, planning everything to the smallest detail.
Not believing his eyes (well, eye) at seeing the 3 and 0 candles perched atop his cake, HC effortlessly blows out the flames, then looks up to see his beloved’s face glistening with tear tracks.
XL who gets so much joy from being a part of HC’s life, and has seen HC grow into this strong, confident, and passionate person - untouchable in the sense that HC is flourishing despite the hardships he faced in his adolescent years.
XL who is beyond grateful to have this opportunity to celebrate his lover. It never gets old. And seeing their friends gathered around the table basking in the ambient atmosphere, XL selfishly hopes HC feels the absolute love and appreciation and adoration of everyone in the room.
“Gege, come here,” HC says gently among the cheers of the other guests. XL sniffles, putting down the cake and readily falling into HC’s open arms and warm lap. HC cradles his lover’s head, petting his hair before kissing it fondly. “I love you. Thank you for everything you do.”
XL clings even tighter, burying his face into the juncture of HC’s neck.
“I louf you too, San Lang,” XL says, voice muffled into HC’s skin. HC hums in content, left hand moving down to rub along XL’s back.
They cut the cake like that. The new designated cake-cutter - previously XL, who now drapes around HC like a second skin - is MQ, who silently cuts the first piece and plops it into HC’s one available hand.
The piece has the latter half of the icing message on top: 快乐
Happy.
The perfect slice to share with XL.
HC smiles quietly.
After all, life wouldn’t be the same, nor would he be nearly as happy as he is, if not for XL being by his side the entire time.
***
Not described five minutes earlier…
HC, a grown ass man not knowing where to look as friends jubilantly sing happy birthday, feeling very awkward on the inside while also looking constipated on the outside. (At least that’s what He Xuan insisted afterward.)

To come to the end of a time of anxiety and fear! To feel the cloud that hung over us lift and disperse - the cloud that dulled the heart and made happiness no more than a memory! This at least is one joy that must have been known by almost every living creature.

How would a parent/teacher conference at Charlotte's school be like with Tim and Steph?
I can't imagine Charlotte has any behavioral issues at school that would warrant a parent/teacher conference. She's got a good support system at home and she's very polite so I think she'd do pretty well in school. Even in the wake of traumatizing events, I don't think she would particularly act out in a school setting. I think if she was having trouble, she would ask a teacher for help, but I don't think she would run a huge risk of falling behind. Tim and Steph would help her there.
If we're talking more open house, then I'm sure Steph has been to them before so not much new there, but I can imagine that Tim's first open house, he'd be a bit nervous at. Any talks with teachers would have him overthinking his answers and would require Steph to hold his hand probably the entire night. It's nerve wracking to suddenly be put in a very parental position, in front of other parents as well. He's one of the group now, he wants to be a good dad and do a good job for Charlotte.
I think the only nerves Steph would have is the fact that she's been a bit ostracized as a young, single mom, and isn't really friends with the other parents, so now she suddenly has a very rich boyfriend walking around with her and I'm sure in Gotham, gossip doesn't get better than that. But I think Steph is better than Tim about brushing off what others think of her. She knows she's a good mom, she knows her relationship with Tim is more meaningful than an outside eye might interpret, she knows Charlotte is safe and happy. It'll become yesterday's news and people will stop caring at some point.

Whumptober Day 31: Light at the End of the Tunnel
Malcolm looked up at the night sky. The stars were shining, twinkling even, and underneath the city lights were glowing. He sat there on a hill with his family: his mother, his father, and his little sister. The ghost of a family he’d always wanted. A family he’d never had.
“It looks so pretty from up here, doesn’t it?” He asked. They agreed.
For once in his life Malcolm stopped and let himself enjoy a moment. No distraction to keep him from his thoughts, no trying to outrun the horrors of his mind: just the peace and solitude that came from watching a city from the distance at night.
“You can rest easy now, Malcolm. Your work here is done.”

Monologue
Thoughts
Memory of a past event
N/T: A THOUSAND APOLOGIES FOR THE DELAY!! I had a giant creative block and I'm going through a lot of personal and family problems, but I'm recovering, I'm also in college entrance year and I'm very busy with my studies, but I finally managed to do part 4, part 5 may take a little while but I'll be sending it soon, anyway, enjoy reading!!
The Light at the End of the Tunnel
Part IV
I think I only realized this after I lost my life...
The second queen never liked me. Every time she pushed me away and treated me with contempt, despite being a child considered to be of unclean blood, I was recognized by the King as a princess, as a Shields, as one of the royal family, but the difference in how I was treated and how my siblings were treated, both by servants and other nobles, was evident.
When the new queen moved with Aura to the castle, she made the biggest scandal and locked me in Geiz's Palace, this palace formerly was intended to house the King's concubines who got pregnant. I could barely get out of there, and the few times I did, I desperately sought the love and affection of my family.
But there were still people, who at least felt an ounce of pity and tried to take care of me...they never lasted long.
An execution is overboard! The young lady didn't try to trick you on purpose!
She never had that intention!
Those who sided with me also lost their lives...Rosie...Sir Joseph...I wish I could avenge them, all of them.
If only, I didn't...
*****
Total attention and dedication in me, just to get me dressed?
She was dressed in an elegant pink dress, with lots of ruffles and a beautiful ribbon with a flower decoration in the back of her hair.
I felt indifferent as people dressed me.
Nursemaid: Princess! Oh my! It suited your highness so well!
Maid: Your highness is so beautiful and graceful that it resembles an angel!
Nursemaid: Certainly, not to anyone more angelic than her!
They cooed to the baby, who turned her head as if she didn't understand
A baby's body, which cannot walk properly, is uncomfortable and not pleasant.
Yuu: (What do you like about me?)
She thought, bored, but her nursemaid and maids still show interest in her, even with her bitter personality, she was still called cute.
Nursemaid: Your highness does not complain while dressing, the lady are too kind.
Maid: That's true, she's always calm.
Maid 2: It is an honor for our kingdom to have such a beautiful princess.
People rushed to praise me. It's a very strange experience to be praised, just for not whining. No, moreover, it used to be praised for various things like: “She is so kind, she never whine.”, “She eats well, never complains.”, “She is good at burping.” and “She's good when she crawls.”. No one would know that I am embarrassed and stunned by the compliment.
Nursemaid: Your Highness, would you like to have a look?
With that said, the nursemaid brought a mirror. It was the first time in her life that she had looked in the mirror since reincarnation. Her heart was beating fast. Looking softly, she was a little taken aback by the moment.
Yuu: (That's....me?)
It's because my appearance was more beautiful than I thought. Maybe it's because I'm a baby, but the little girl reflected in the mirror was showing her cuteness dazzlingly. The soft blue-black hair, which was like the dark night, and the bright blue-green eyes, contained in a small face, were beautiful as rare jewels. The flushed cheeks were plump enough to pinch, and the cherry-colored lips looked too soft. It looked like a wingless angel, fallen from the sky.
But she looked at herself in the mirror and was soon frowning.
In the past, I was a redhead with yellow eyes.
Nursemaid: Your Highness, don't you like the mirror?
Maid: Maybe she's uncomfortable with her appearance or something...
Then the nursemaid looked at her anxiously, she realized that the baby had been looking at her reflection in the mirror for a long time.
Maid: I'll take it now.
The maid put the mirror away, while the baby watched in silence, the nursemaid held her carefully and started walking towards the exit of the room, followed by the maids.
I could feel the spirits of light floating around me, particularly enchanted by the spring sun.
Yuu: (It's beautiful.)
She thought casually.
Yuu: (Was it the trauma of being incarcerated in a dungeon in a previous life? When I was reborn I became particularly obsessed with light.)
*****
As soon as the door was opened, she could feel the strong sun and warm air from the inner garden. She watched and saw a little boy, sitting at the front, drinking tea while reading a book. When the little boy noticed his presence he looked in his direction and smiled. The little boy slowly got up from his chair, listening to the maids greeting. His green eyes shone brightly in the sun.
I was a little curious. Rumor has it that just looking the heir in the eye tends to make people scared. But I thought that I, who was a baby, would be fine. The next moment I made eye contact with him, I realized. The fact that he was deliberately taking the pressure off me. Of course, a normal baby would have cried the moment he made eye contact with him, no matter how careful he was. So maybe now you can face me, not just for your consideration, but also because Keir, a fourteen-year-old girl, was in command of this body.
Malleus: ...
She didn't want to keep staring at him, she didn't feel comfortable. She dropped her eyes quickly. She didn't want to draw the crown prince's attention any more than necessary. But looking at her, he slowly approached her and touched her hair.
Malleus: You are growing up so well, Yuu.
He said stroking her hair. It was a warm voice that sounded unbearable, just because it was adorable. She looked into her eyes again and then closed her lids again.
Malleus: Yuu have truly grown a lot.
Maid 2: But until when are you going to keep on talking to her highness, Your Royal Highness?
The maid hesitated before saying this, and soon received a scolding look from the headmaid.
I'm well aware. Even though everyone inside the palace praises me for how cute and lovable I am, there's also gossip about my well-being and speculation that there's something wrong with me.
— Sh-she's been growing so much lately, I'm sure she'll start speaking soon.
— But of course. She's inherited the blood of her ancestors so well after all....
But that's the thing. Unlike other babies, I barely show my emotions, so far I've been secretly training forever, but I've never been able to babble a single word, even the simplest ones. Maybe I have an any blockage or something...I am unable to say 'mama' or 'papa', let alone speak. To be honest, if I made the effort to do that, I could talk right now if I wanted to, but...
Yuu: (In fact, it's a little scary to make that kind of effort.)
Suddenly she felt something flying near her face, she opened her eyes and saw the spheres of light.
{– Are you okay?}
{– Don't worry, soon you'll get it!}
{– No problem, after all we will always be with you!}
{Yuu: Are you here to comfort me? Thank you everyone.}
These spheres of light that only I can see and hear are my guardian spirits, they have been by my side protecting and supporting me since the day I was born.
A Draconia. The name didn't have a similarity by chance. Children born into the royal family with the surname Draconia belong to a rare species of fairy-dragon, and have dragon-like characteristics. Only legitimate children of the royal family are born fae dragons, never an illegitimate would show the same characteristics as a blood legitimate.
Yuu: (A fae...I wasn't born human this time...that's good, isn't it?)
“Also, why am I reborn? Is it because I suffered in my past life that I gained the chance to have a better life, with a new family that truly loves me...is that why I was reborn?” After I was reborn I asked myself about it constantly
The fact that I don't know what also happened to the King and Queen bothers me a little, but I could also realize the agitation of the people of the Valley of Thorns. They were anxious when some kind of oracle from a long time ago resurfaced.
“Lights and blossoms, Jewel eyes, through Neaarchi, the second, a new hope is born”
Citizens were confused, what was “Neaarchi” and what could this oracle mean?
This oracle had appeared long ago in the ancient writings of the ancient fairies. This was the last line of the ancient prophecy that has long since become a legend. No one has ever been able to fully decipher it. They imagined it would be the miraculous birth of a child in difficult times, perhaps a second child. The one who would bring but that eternal splendor to the kingdom. Believing this, many of the kings of the Valley of Thorns tried to make the oracle come true, in order to bring splendor upon their reign, but....after many generations, there was never a second child in the royal family. Always and always only a single heir was born. And it was that way for hundreds of years. After a long time, the oracle turned out to be a legend, passed down from generation to generation.
Until, one day... After so many years of waiting, the blessing descended from the heavens and arrived at the royal house of the Valley of Thorns.
— What? Was a second child born in the kingdom?
— Does this mean that the kingdom will become stronger?
— Good heavens! So the prophecy will finally be fulfilled now!!
When I had been in the castle for a while they seemed to have noticed the similarities with the oracle, my appearance in a clearing, the cradle of flowers surrounding me, the beautiful eyes and shining like jewels and the desire of the King and Queen to baptize me with a name that means "new beginning"...
Obviously everyone was surprised and excited by the extraordinary news of the finally birth of the second royal child. Imagine their surprise when they announced that they was a little princess. But with the sudden appearance of a new royal child, it was obvious that rumors would spread throughout the kingdom.
— But is she really a Draconia...? The king and queen...I mean them...
— What if she is just an adopted child, or worse, illegitimate! It would be bad enough to have almost or no blood from the royal family, now imagine having only half of it....
Yuu: (It seems that in a long time, a second real child is not born, so when my birth was announced everyone was surprised and countless parties were held in my honor. But not everything is flowers, with the light, also comes the darkness, soon rumors began to appear that doubted my relationship with the royal blood, rumors about me being an adopted or illegitimate child....)
Slander....rumors created by people who feel pure envy of the Draconian Royal Family. But I didn't have to worry about that for a long time...
Everything changed at the festival created to commemorate my birth, it was made shortly after I opened my eyes. Feasts and festivals were always held in honor of a royal new birth, so everyone would be blessed.
Yuu: (I was very young at the time, so they didn't do more than put me in a cute outfit and show me around for a few minutes.)
She thinks rolling her eyes
During the festival, at the princess's introduction to the kingdom, that's when I accidentally sprayed fire, cyan-colored fire, beautiful but destructive.
I shuddered
What kind of baby breathes fire!? Although the others around me were as surprised as I was, they quickly smiled and started to celebrate applauding. Unlike me who was horrified.
Yuu: (What?)
— Did you see that?! The princess sneezed fire!
— I can't believe we doubt your royal blood! This is clearly proof that she is a legitimate daughter of King and Queen Draconia!
— Yea! She's a real royal fairy-dragon, coming to think of it, she looks like the queen when she was younger, don't you think?
— Yeah, looking at it like that, she really does look like the queen when she was younger.
Yuu: (What are you talking about a six-month-old baby???)
Even though I didn't understand, they continued to pour out their praise and hopes for me, a baby just six months old....
Adding the fact that I am a half-dragon half-fairy being, I'm a special type. One who's able of seeing entities that exist as the forces of nature, completely invisible to the ordinary eye.
She looks at the different glowing spheres
Each of these entities is the guardian of something coming from nature.
Yuu: (I think it's a useless skill for someone with no interest in living...but thanks to the conversations I share with the spirits, I've been more reassured.)
{Yuu: You know, I think I also wish I could talk, express my feelings, scream, do something, but for that...it's too scary to think that no one...will believe my words again.}
When Malleus saw that his little sister looked sad, he picked her up from the maid's lap and took it to the top, then it came down again.
Malleus: It's okay, Yuu will be able to talk too. Your big brother will wait as long as it takes for that day to happen, no matter how long it may take. So Yuu...
Her eyes lit up at the boy's words of adoration, she looked at him and he smiled at her.
Malleus: Take as much time as you need.
Lilia: Oh here you are Malleus, ah and Yuu too.
Said the eldest fairy as she approached holding a little silver haired boy in her hand.
Lilia: Silver greet Your Highnesses.
The little boy shyly made a reference and spoke
Silver: Salutations to the bright light and the wonderful flower of the kingdom.
This little boy...his name is Silver I believe he is 2 years older than me or something. Apparently he is a human child adopted by Lilia. He might become a knight when he grows up or something.
Lilia: Very well Silver, you did it right.
He stared at the princess and seems to have remembered something, he ran away and soon came back with his arms behind his back, shyly he held out a pink flower to the princess
Silver: For the princess, I thought the flower would match her dress.
Yuu: (It's amazing how a child can be so innocent, it can be a little bothered, but if I try...)
She stretched her arms towards Silver, and started to make motions signaling to pick up the flower, Malleus crouched and the baby's small hand grabbed the stem of the flower, making the little silver haired boy smile. Behind them, you can hear the maids dying of cuteness and you can say the same for Lilia, who was delighted with her little ones.
Lilia: Now that I think about it, Yuu's birthday is already approaching.
Nursemaid: Yea! After all, the princess is already 10 months old.
I moved my hands. My hands are still so small and I can't believe 10 months have passed since I was born again.
Lilia: On your first birthday, we will celebrate with a great banquet. As she grew up so well, healthy and strong, wouldn't you agree that this is a great reason why all citizens should celebrate?
Malleus: Banquet…?
Nursemaid: But if it's a banquet...will she be okay? Your Highness is extremely shy, so this could overload her....
The nursemaid was a little vague in her speech. Malleus looks at his baby sister and speaks.
Malleus: She may be right Lilia, Yuu has a hard time getting used to servants in general, but if we expose her to an environment like a banquet...
Yuu: (The nursemaid and the prince seemed to have this misunderstanding due to my habit of avoiding people all the time.)
The prince looked at her with concern. Malleus felt a light pat on the back, as if Lilia had told him everything was fine.
Lilia: Don't worry, we'll all be there with her. She will be safe.
Malleus looked at his baby sister and smiled, running his hand over her cheek
Malleus: You might be right. Lilia?
Lilia: Yes?
Malleus: I want the biggest, most lavish banquet the Valley of Thorns has ever seen! If it's for my little sister, I don't want any efforts to be spared!
Yuu: (A banquet...? For me...? Just to celebrate my existence...?)
I looked at the two of them and felt a place in my heart suddenly darken.
As a baby I've never done anything really interesting, nothing worth having a party in my honor... that's weird for me. In my past life, we, siblings had to vie for the king's throne and attention. Great deeds were applauded and commemorated...but I was never able to do anything as I was always locked in a room. I never got any parties to commemorate something like my birth or existence.
But like it's no big deal....
The Crown Prince declared a banquet especially for me, just to honor the day of my birth.
He loves me. And he would let all the people know about it. Until me. He and everyone else wanted to demonstrate and let me know that. That they all loved me.
Are so different from my family from my past life. My mother, who gave birth to me alone, was the only one who looked at me with love and even then she died before I even met her. And the only one my father mattered was his successor, Phillip. With only one exception. The princess, daughter of the second empress, Aura.
Thinking about her suddenly gave me a headache. When I groaned, the prince, who quickly realized, hugged me.
Malleus: What's wrong Yuu? Don't you feel good? Is there something that is bothering you?
The eyes that looked at the baby princess were filled with concern.
When I looked into his eyes, I saw his face, he showed real concern for me...somehow I felt my headache subside
As the princess calmed down, the prince smiled happily and shook her a little, as if to say that everything was fine.
Malleus: It's better now? It already looks better. It's a relief.
Butterflies flew in the indoor glass garden and the beautiful flowers bloomed. The smell of black tea that was present in the air, the sunlight and the sound of birds echoing everywhere. The princess closed her eyes just to absorb all those good sensations.
Yuu: (Everything is so wonderful, it seems like a dream.)
Malleus: Yuu, you have your elder brother and your guardian here by your side to protect you.
The prince whispered to the little girl in a warm voice.
Malleus: Don't worry, nothing scary will happen. Everyone will congratulate you on your birthday with happiness.
Lilia: It's going to be a wonderful day.
Saying that, he stroked her hair lightly.
Whenever I close my eyes and the darkness comes, I still remember the feeling of being chained and the despair of not even being able to know what was going to happen. But now, I lay illumined by this light, I was loved by the kingdom, and I received the love of the Crown Prince. And I could feel it.
The guardian, who had been silent, added
Lilia: I'm so glad Yuu came to us. I wish I could show you this happiness with the joy of the feast.
The baby was handed over to the nursemaid who sang a lullaby. It was a sweet song.
“Sleep tight beside the stars our baby.
From the front garden to the back...
The little lambs go to sleep too–
With birds wish to you sweet dreams.”
I closed my eyes. With the heat that envelops me, I fell asleep.
*****
When the princess opened her eyes, before she knew it, she was back in the palace. It was already night.
Now that I think about it since I was reincarnated I had a lot of nightmares and I always woke up in the middle of the night, and always the nursemaid or Lilia would come to calm me down. Seems like they always feel when I need them.
Yuu: (I didn't want to depend on anyone, but since a baby doesn't have much to do.)
She thinks with a sigh. She looks around.
Yuu: (It's dark. I must have fallen asleep from the lullaby and comfort I got from the prince.)
Everything was plunged into darkness. Silently, I called the spirits in my mind. They heard the call.
Yuu: (I don't like the darkness...)
{Yuu: Hello?}
Then the spirits began to approach one by one. Seeing them warmed my heart. Spirits that have been with me since I was born again, from the beginning. The spirits were more than friends to me.
{Yuu: If it were for all you, if I didn't have all you by my side, I would have given up on my new life a long time ago.}
I whispered in my heart and the little beings caressed me as if they wanted to comfort me. But somehow the spirits were a little strange. Especially the spirits of Light.
They looked up into the air and she felt like they were waiting for someone. The princess felt a little curious, so then got up a little.
{Yuu: What's happening?}
They were trying to tell me something.
The curtains opened faster, swaying slightly. Moonlight entered her room illuminating everything. It was the full moon. Behind the layers of white curtains, a bright purple light penetrated, and the light illuminated the entire room. She widened her eyes. And behind the curtain was a woman. She was a very mysterious woman, with green eyes that shone like the precious stones and black horns as sharp as her brother's.
— Child.
In this place, where only the moon was looking, there was an eerie silence.
Yuu: (Who is this…?)
She stared at the woman in surprise. Step by step, she came out from behind the curtain. She was also looking at the little one.
My blue eyes and your green eyes exchanged glances in the air.
Looking without turning her eyes, she slowly opened her mouth.
— It's true, she's special.
A low, resonant voice sounded in the room.
The mere sudden intrusion into the bedroom of the Valley of Thorns's one and only royal princess. Breaking through armored security is a danger, and not only that, she also knew I could see spirits.
Somehow...she was able....
If she could speak correctly, she would be constantly bombarded with questions, but she was just a baby and there were only two things she could do in this situation: Start crying and call other people right away or hold your breath silently for your life. Doubting which one to choose, the woman placed her finger in front of her lips as if reading her mind.
At that moment, a gentle breeze blew and the light of the full moon broke through the curtain. I could not believe. The woman approached slowly and looked at her. Hair like strands of black slowly fluttered.
— It's a really gracious baby.
Wait, I recognize you! I've seen her! In the paintings around the castle walls. Although I never stopped to look at the painting directly. Whenever he passed through certain corridors he saw several figures painted.
The spirits around her took a small shape and bowed as they said in unison.
{– We greet your majesty, the Queen.}
Yuu: (Queen?)
She couldn't believe it so looked at her face for a long time.
Yuu: (That means she's the queen of spirits?)
She began to shake little by little unconsciously. The pressure emanating from it was immense. She felt like she was out of breath. She closed her eyes tightly as the queen's hand began to reach out. She placed her hand gently on the princess's head and stroked it. The little one widened her eyes and saw the queen smiled slightly.
— Sorry for coming late, I suppose you haven't understood anything since you came into this world. But all I can tell you now is that you're really special.
She looked at her so softly and it didn't seem to match the aura she gave off
— Well, it's time for you to rest, it's not good babies to stay up that long.
She said lifting her hand and spinning it over the little girl's head, while a kind of bright yellowish powder fell
— This spell will make you fall asleep quickly and make you have happy dreams.
Yuu: (No, wait a minute!)
But there was no time to react, drowsiness began to take over her body and although she tried to open her eyes very hard to keep from falling asleep, it didn't work. The last thing she saw was the queen's happy smile and her mouth saying:
Good night, my little princess Yuu.
to be continued...
Never apologize for a delay of noter part of a masterpiece!!💕💕💕💕 aaah K loved it again😭💕💕

Love and Death
The push and pull of the ocean.
For millennia, its gentle, distant roar has lulled the world to sleep, inspiring calm and dreams. Enticing with a promise that this world still holds magic.
To him, it always means she’s close.
Despite waking on the ground, he’s never uncomfortable; the grass beneath him softer than any bed he’s, frankly, had the misfortune of sleeping in.
He lays there a while, breathing in the refreshing seaspray and letting it wake him fully; wanting to be as alert as possible for her. He could never stand to miss a moment of her – her every move a miracle performed before his very eyes.
“Gabriel?”
Her voice is warm, pleasant, like the most heartening and loving of embraces. Above all, however, she sounds happy.
He smiles. “You look beautiful, as always.”
She tucks her wings – dark and iridescent like a raven’s, though all the more lovely – behind her.
“Always the charmer.”
She reaches out to help him up, but he pulls her down on top of him. Her abundant, sunny laugh rolls through them both at their proximity, and he holds her closer still.
This visit is not merely because any plane of existence not permeated by her essence is one not even bearing consideration, but because he is now certain he never wants to be without her again.
Before he has the opportunity to express as much, however, a call draws her attention away.
“Mara!”
She uses her wings to propel herself upright. The breeze they stir up smells of smokey incense and cinnamon.
Together, hands clasped between them, they go in search of the small voice that has summoned her so desperately. Someone as important as her is never called on for no reason.
The tiny voice belongs to one of her flowers. By the looks of her, this particular flower used to be a little girl: face young, growing in an almost overcrowded bedding with others like her. One of the others is tugging on one of her petals.
“Mara, please?” the little one cries. “It hurts!”
“Now, Christopher,” Mara warns the tugger, “what have we said about hurting our friends.”
“They won’t want to play with us anymore,” the bed sings in unison.
“And we don’t want that, do we?” she asks, giving Christopher a gentle look.
“No,” he answers, shaking his little head with such vigour that his petals ruffle about his lively face.
“But is it alright to hurt yourself?” the flower who had called them over asks.
She frowns. “Jessie, why would you ask such a thing?”
Jessie looks indignant at Mara’s tone. “Because Gabriel keeps doing it to come visit!”
Until then, threads of copper and gold had veined her flawless dark skin and hair. Now, the air dims. Thunder brews in the distance. The sea crashes louder and higher against the cliff beneath their feet.
Turning her back on the flowers, she sweeps out of the garden, her scent of incense and cinnamon replaced by ice and decay. He scrambles after her.
“How long, Gabriel?” she demands once they’re alone.
“Mara—”
“HOW LONG?!”
Her words are punctuated by simultaneous crashes of stormy waves and thunder.
Knowing she’s justifiably upset, he does not flinch or protest; merely answers her question.
“A few months now,” he confesses, keeping his voice calm, “but I assure you it has always been safe.”
“Safe? You call dying ‘safe’?” Her voice and the thunder are indistinguishable now.
“How else am I meant to see you?” he pleads.
“Gabriel, you’re an angel. The only cosmic plane you cannot freely enter is Hell.”
At this, he falls quiet. There is no safe way to progress from here. If it’s a question of power, none rival hers. The only reason she would not get her way is if she wished it so. The Queen of Death holds dominion over all. He knows he must choose his words very carefully.
This is, naturally, moot when she draws the conclusion herself.
“You’re not an angel anymore.”
He says nothing; only keeps pleading with his eyes. For her love, her understanding. Even her pity would be preferable to her wrath.
“That petty bastard. Bloody megalomaniac!”
A dangerously close lightning strike sets a nearby tree aflame.
“Mara, please?”
His voice is quiet, shot through with as much emotion as he can spare without breaking down.
The rage leaves her in a great gust, extinguishing the tree and blowing the charged storm away. The rising light turns the edges of her hair and wings to silver.
“I would be mortan ten times over to be, however life-threateningly, close to you.” He rests his hands on her arms. “Don’t you see? Being celestial was the punishment. The closer I am to the Creator, the more control He has over me. As a mortal, I have free will! I can die. I can live in your realm for all eternity.”
There is a beat of silence between them – a beat that echoes on into infinity. Despite the change to her expression being minute, it nevertheless destroys him.
“I couldn’t take you,” she whispers. “As a human, your life is in my hands. I can’t take you before your time.”
He shakes his head in disbelief. “Surely it’s my time if I choose—”
“Your time is pre-ordained. As the Endless, our purpose is to maintain balance in the domains over which we preside. I am Death – by definition I cannot simply take lives as I please.”
“Mara…”
“I have to send you back.” Tears spill soundlessly down her beautiful face.
“No!” he protests, the world around him becoming immaterial. “I love you!”
“And I you, angel.”
* * *
“Dear God!”
“Oh, fuck Him,” Gabriel grumbles, sitting up.
“Mate, you scared the pants off me!” Josh Dekker, med student and Gabriel’s free ride to Mara, laments.
Gabriel glates at him. “Liar. One sight of your little pickle might’ve been just enough for Mara to take me back.”
“Blew it, did ya?” Josh’s tone is amused as he sits back in his chair.
“Fuck off, you tosser.”
Gabriel hops down from the gurney they’d spirited into the medical campus basement. He doesn’t even feel tired or achy this time, which he’s certain is her doing.
Speaking of her, he knows she only did her job. He understands cosmic responsibility as much as the next product of Divinity. That doesn’t leave his heart any fuller. He doesn’t blame her – could never – but powers beyond comprehension have ripped out his newly acquired heart.
He reckons he’s allowed to feel a little cut up.
“C’mon, mate,” Josh gives him a slap on the shoulder. “Let’s go for a pint. I’ll shout.”
If there’s one thing Gabriel’s gotten a taste for since losing his wings, it’s alcohol. The only states to be human in are either dead or drunk.
He wonders if there’s a D-named sibling in charge of the latter.
Turns out, getting out of a campus building after dark is a lot easier than getting in. Could have something to do with no one expecting anyone to come out of a cadaver lab after office hours.
They trek across campus in miserable silence. Well, Gabriel is miserable. Josh is smoking a joint disguised as a fag and not offering Gabriel any because apparently he’s “got a script for it”.
Stingy bastard.
To add insult to injury, when the lorry with no brakes comes careening down the street they’re crossing, it doesn’t hit Junkie Josh.
Oh, no.
The last recollection Gabriel has as he lays, broken and bleeding, is of a pair of iridescent black wings, coming down to envelope him.
