Kinda vent-ish

Idk it just occurred to me now that despite my love for cosplaying, for the last 7 years or so I've dreaded actually doing it because of how much I hate the way I look, I feel that particularly my face shape is unattractive because of the amounts of loose skin located at my jawline, and then there's just the fact theres never any characters who resemble me even in the slightest which makes pulling off a convincing cosplay a nightmare and just it's so depressing seeing something that I used to adore become something I despise all because of my appearence

#ive actually very heavily consodered getting plastic surgery on my jawline. almost went through with it a month ago before i backed out #at the last minute #i really want to do it but im not sire it would actually improve my self esteem or the way i feel about myself #then theres the feeling that im betraying my anxestry because the skin on my jaw is a defining phenotype from my ethnicity carried ovee #by my immigrant grandparents #so idk. so many mixed feelings i REALLY REALLY want to enjoy cosplaying but i just cant when i never look good #ive tried face tape but i have a hard time getting it to last plus it doesnt lift the skin enough :/#ugh

tape deer is finished!!! after some fiddling by trimming down the hooves and beefing up the ankles, he actually balances surprisingly well now.

#howling #art tag #also technically it's more accurate to call this a mixed media deer instead of a tape deer but that's not as snappy #the base was an extremely basic wire armature bulked up with some newspaper and a fuckton of tape #and then smoothed down/hardened by smearing the whole thing with glue lol #ALSO technically not ALL the tape rolls in the last pic were for the deer since there were other people making different tape sculptures #and some of mine got thrown away #but I did go thru at least 4 or 5 rolls for this guy #and I wanted to show off how he ended up really well balanced which im SUPER proud of haha #before the last few alterations it could barely stand for more than a minute or two before toppling over #but now it stays upright and can even withstand being nudged around a bit!!! wow!!!!

i need to be asleep but i'm looking at the tax return money i have stashed away and wondering just how much of a quality upgrade i should make in terms of mixing headphones

#the brand i've been using has served me fairly well #but i don't know if they're still in production because the last ones i've ordered came worn/damaged and had to be returned #and my current pair is Quite Literally hanging on by a thread #(read: it is taped together with electrical tape and a large tongue depressor to replace the broken hinge)#(and has a small bead jammed into the cup joint to prevent it from swinging outwards)#(and i have to put a folded sock on my head to counteract the compressed headband foam)#so i've been thinking i ought to upgrade just a bit from the $20 range to perhaps the $50 range #but i'm staring at the company i'm thinking about ordering from and wondering if i should just #go ahead and spend a little more to get a slightly more sensitive and collapsible studio-level pair #but spending more is scary ! ! ! !#what if they're bad ! ! !#what if they sound terrible and feel bad and get lost in the mail when i try to return them ! ! !#or what if they sound so so good all my mixing things will sound terrible no matter what ! ! !#or well i'm not sure how to describe that last fear but i think it basically amounts to #what if it makes vocal synth voices sound bad somehow #ughhgh i know it'll be better for me in the long run to invest now while i have the option #because no doubt the more expensive pair will last longer and give me better quality results #(evidence: an astounding number of people reporting they've used theirs for 5-10 years with no sound decay)#as opposed to my current ones which i've had to replace every 3 years #$70 for potentially 10 years of good audio . . . .#which is roughly what i'd be paying with the cheap pair but with only mid-tier audio #h m m m m m #i'll sleep on it i guess . . . .

It was different, a good different.

Miguel doesn’t remember the last time someone had no idea who he was. Sure, maybe some people didn’t know him by name, but at least they recognized him from one of his roles. Even then, he was met with a ‘you look familiar…’ before it clicked. But not you. You don’t even have that fake calmness when fans pretend to be chill about meeting celebrities. He didn’t have to pretend with you, didn’t need to put up that celebrity persona for you. You enjoyed him, not the man who played make believe roles. You weren’t disappointed when he didn’t act like one of his movie characters. In fact, to this day, you still get the movies and characters mixed up. You liked him and he couldn’t have been more grateful.

He did feel bad when your relationship got exposed. He was stressed, scared all the gossip and constant invasion of privacy would get to you, that it would end everything between the two of you. But you were strong, resilient. You came to him with your concerns, not the press or the tabloids. It meant a lot that you trusted him instantly, pushing aside the horrible rumors because you knew who the real Miguel was. He has no idea how he got so lucky. Doesn’t know how he was able to find someone so good and pure in the mist of glitz and glam.

And he makes sure you know how grateful he is. He offers to take care of you, having the money to make your dreams come true. God forbid you make a joke about him buying you something crazy, you’ve made that mistake before. You only ask for simple things, nothing too fancy or screaming celebrity status. You’re so modest, getting upset when he buys you something so ridiculously expensive. You are constantly scolding him that there are better things to be spending money on than an overpriced pair of shoes that don’t even look like it's worth half of its retail price. That there are so many other people he could be spending his money on, like good charities or people who are actually in desperate need of it. He makes it his monthly gift to donate a couple thousand dollars to your organization of choice.

Since he can’t show his love through gifts, he does it through actions most of the time. He makes you a nice dinner even when he’s tired from a day of shooting. He offers to help you do things around the house. Drags you out of bed early in the morning for a coffee date before he has to go on set. Brings you to his latest movie set and shows you around if it's a calm day, his acting getting a hundred times better knowing his cute little girlfriend is in his chair watching him work. His favorite thing to do is to show his love by keeping you pinned to the bed as he ruts into you.

He loves watching you wither on the bed, clutching onto him for dear life. You look better than any model or actress as you stare up at him, mewling so nicely for him. He coos into your ear, telling you how pretty you look taking his cock. He’s constantly pressing into that gummy spot inside of you, causing your back to arch and to look up at him with glassy eyes. He bullies his cock into you as much as he can with your walls spasming around him, giving a few more sloppy snaps of his hips before he stills.
