Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum
Jenny Holzer is renowned for her thought-provoking and impactful art installations. Holzer gained fame in the 1980s for her innovative use of text-based works, employing powerful phrases and statements to challenge societal norms and explore themes of politics, feminism, and human rights. Often using LED signs, billboards, and projections as her canvas, her art captures the attention of passersby, forcing them to confront issues they might otherwise overlook.

Wassily Kandinsky (Russian, 1866-1944) • Composition 8 • 1923 • Guggenheim Museum, New York City
Composition VIII was the artist’s first methodical application of his ideas about the relationship between colour and form and his understanding of their spiritual and psychological effects. This painting also marks the beginning of Kandinsky’s long connection with the circle. – Alix Rule, Britannica
