#in stars and time #ISAT #Siffrin #Loop #Context: early on you meet a character who tries to get you to use the royal We pronoun for them and you shut them down. It's great. #The gender swag and non-binary rep in this game is lovely. #I sketched this out when I was in Act 2 - and as of posting this I have not yet finished the game so *please* no spoilers. #It is rare for me to get into something spoiler free and I have been getting my shit rocked by this game in the best way. #Yes I *am* taking another detour to talk about a video game I love again. I will have some fun crossovers. Trust the process. #I will also do my best to pitch this game as spoiler free as possible. Because you *should* play this game: #ISAT is a very lovingly crafted RPG with very fun and emotional writing. #The characters are great and the mysteries you slowly uncover are intriguing! #The way the gameplay ties into the player's own emotional state is nearly always in sync with the protagonist. You *will* feel things. #And it is not afraid to let those things be hard emotions! Do mind the content warnings and know your limits though. #As someone who sucks at video games I also appreciate that it is so generous with your time and keeps things fun. #Not to mention it is honestly underpriced for the amount of content in it. Buy this game. I need to spread the brainworms.

Just wanted to share my latest miniature - I'm calling it 'Bloom' and it will be part of the 'Stories of Home' exhibit at the Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives later next month :)

I tried a few new techniques for this, and I'm happy with how it all came together. The flowers posed some slight issues here and there, and I have a few floral rejects. I'll probably revisit this technique again in the future and make a few other smaller versions.

I was able to get more clip-on earrings recently, so I made a bunch of new pairs!! <|:D

I made some with wire-wrapped shells, green sea glass I found at the beach, little flocked bears, and pinwheel beads. I also wire-wrapped a set of dice and a matching necklace :)

Spar making update: I’m getting better but the points still need work. Between two of us, we’ve got to make 4000 of them for a thatched roof though, so I’d better get on with it!!

The process involves taking one of the 28” hazel rods in the background of the photo (called ‘gads’) and, using a billhook or a splitting hook (the bigger and blunter of the two blades at the bottom of the photo), and splitting them first in half, and then into either quarters, sixths, or eighths, depending on the thickness of the rod to start with. Then with a pointing hook (smaller of the two blades) you put a three-faced point on each end. They’re kept from drying out and stored for a short while, and a thatcher then twists them into a pincer or staple shape to skewer and secure the thatch of a roof into place.

Spar making is on the Red List of Endangered Crafts so it’s an honour to be continuing this ancient ancient tradition with a few other people.

100g of dyed mixed breed locks, colourway „Star Crossed Lovers“ by Marie Reddings Arts, spun lock by lock and autowrapped with a coral pink Madeira Spectra glitter thread.

The colours were lovely and the locks soft but still so very dirty, preparing them took forever….

Don‘t know what to do with these yet - should I take up tapestry weaving..? XD

Figure Sculpting Commissions

I've been wanting to do this for a long time,now it's finally possible. I'll do mini chibi figures of characters,like the ones above! 25-35 USD + shipping depending on complexity, ToS under the cut

For more examples of my sculpting skills(but I won't do scales because it's too much work), here's some Pandora Hearts merch I've made,and some other sculptures:

The figures will be tiny, around the same size as Nendoroid Petites, which is half of regular Nendoroids (4-6cm).

References are always appreciated

Will be made of resin,air dry clay,and sometimes pieces of plastic or wood. Predominantly resin and clay.

There's the option for proportions between 1 and 2. Flandre Nendoroid is for size comparison only. No price difference.

I'll add a stand to make sure the figure can stand properly,but it won't be removable.

No LED parts (though I'd love to, the post office told me it might get rejected at customs)

Price depends on complexity of the character. I'll give you a price (+ shipping estimate for your country) after looking at the character, and you can decide whether you want it or not,and I'll start working on it. I'll send you WIP shots occasionally.

Payment after the figure is made or almost finished,and before shipping.

Making time is 7-14 days, hopefully,but may be more because I have a volatile schedule. I'll definitely let you know and keep you updated though.

Making these take time,so if you want to pay after a few weeks,you can give me a character to start making,and pay when you're ready. I'll hold onto it for a month.

Shipping is combined for multiple figures. If you want to add another figure after I've started, or even finished, making the first, that's fine, I'll ship it together.

Shipping will be through tracked international parcel post, takes 2-4 weeks, but duration not in my hands. Domestically,speed post, takes 3-5 days.

Practicing watercolor leaves

I watched a free tutorial recommended by Willa Wanders in one of her newsletters that is taught by Karen Elaine Parsons. She decorates the leaves and cuts them out, too. The doodling looked like fun, so I did it on a few of them.

Before cutting them out, I put a wash on the back using the leftover colors that were in my little palette, just so they wouldn't be stark white.

I think this is my favorite one.
