i was curious about being followed by people who are new to tumblr and turns out when you sign up you’re forced to track a number of tags, and from there follow three blogs. now if you’re like me and you’re doing this in a web browser on mobile not the app, it’s easy enough to manipulate this by going to the home page. if you use the app you have no choice.

now blogs are linked based on tags — so let’s say you follow blue beetle, superman, batfam, tim drake and cassandra cain. you’re gonna get recommended blogs that regularly post with those tags or key words! not sure if tumblr still shows most popular tags on blogs anymore but this would make sense…..
