metal arm brrr
Tumblr media
Summary: Every problem needs a solution. Bucky just isn't the biggest fan of yours.
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Reader
Word Count: 1k
Tags: Fluff in the highest degree, old married couple, Swearing (It's Bucky, duh)
A/N: I just needed to give you guys something, it's been too long since i've written on here and you guys are the best :) I've barely checked this over so I apologize for any typos.
*****
“Can you stop moving, please?”
Bucky Barnes half asleep is not someone you want to mess with. The first time you shuffled he had hardly made a sound, the second you were met with a low grumble (a warning you knew well) and the third strike, he was thirty seconds from kicking you out of the bed.
When Bucky had finally learnt to sleep in a bed again, mostly thanks to you, he steadily became a big fan of his beauty sleep and god help anyone who ended up disturbing him. He had a lot to catch up on. Once, you had violently shaken him awake because his phone was ringing and when he heard Sam on the other line, you were deemed a ‘sleep thief’ for a week and a half after. Bucky Barnes was a bitch when it came to his sleep.
You usually wouldn't have any complaints about being in his vice grip but it was January and the nights were still cold and having a boyfriend with a metal arm meant that you were held to him with an ice cold grip around your waist. When the Summer came, it was a life saver, your own personal refrigerator but you still had a good few months to go before you were hanging off his arm everyday.
“Sorry.” You mumbled and tried to convince yourself you were comfortable without another word.
Nope, can’t do it. You shift again.
“You’re kidding- what is it?” He pulls away from you and sits up on his elbow, glaring, he dares you. “Go on.”
With the most innocent doe eyes you could muster you slip your bottom lip between your teeth and debate the argument you could spark when your gaze slips to his vibranium arm in the semi darkness.
He doesn’t miss a thing, you’ve come to realize.
“I swear if you say-”
“-It’s cold! I’m cold! It’s just too much cold!” You burst, arms flailing in desperation.
“It’s my arm! You said you wanted to sleep on my left, this is my left arm, nothing I can do. Okay?”
“There has to be something.” You search the room for solutions, briefly lingering on the sock drawer.
“Oh yeah, sorry, let me just take it off.” Bucky grunts, dripping with sarcasm.
“...If you could?”
“Seriously, fuck you.”
Bucky falls back into his beloved pillow, eyes shut and wishing he has chosen a partner that let him sleep peacefully, then again, why would he want that when you exist?
“Look, either come to the other side or deal with it.”
Silence finally reaches your bedroom and Bucky is deeply in dreamland while you lie awake, scheming away.
In the early hours, you slip out of bed without a sound and make a beeline for the sock drawer, knowing you had some old pairs of slipper socks stuffed at the back. Scissors in hand, you snipped off the toes and smiled at the D.I.Y leg warmers. Oh, he was gonna be mad.
With nearly medical precision, you held out the slumbering Bucky’s arm in front of you and one by one, slid the fluffy socks up the freezing metal until it was sufficiently covered. Thanking the universe, he was a pretty heavy sleeper, you shuffled back under the covers and happily wrapped the soft arm back around your waist.
You slept like a lamb after that.
*****
When the morning came, you woke up before him like usual and briefly left him to his own devices as you made coffee, two mugs sitting on the counter beside each other.
Through the wall, you faintly hear the rising of the soldier before heavy footsteps quickly storm in your direction.
“The fuck is this?”
You look up to see him in the doorway, and find yourself the subject of a stare that would send millions running. Not you. The multicolored socks lined up his arm kind of softened his hoped effect and you had to stifle your laughter.
“A solution?” You shrug.
“No.” He points at you with his flesh arm accusingly “Nu-uh. This? This is not how we solve things.”
“Is it not? I’m really digging the rainbow on you.” The giggle you had tried to push down had spilled over.
“You’re a fucking menace.”
The giggle now a full bodied laugh that had you clutching at your chest as you were overcome with the image of your big, scary, ‘world’s most deadly assassin’ boyfriend glaring daggers at you while donning the most fluffy and most colorful socks up his arm.
Bucky was fighting a grin with all his might, your laughter was like an ugly disease, incredibly contagious, hard to avoid, and annoying.
Something soft hits you in the face and you halt your hysterics as you peer at the slipper sock now at your feet. Lifting your gaze, Bucky is smiling smugly, and working a second sock off his arm.
“Bucky!” You yelp and duck under the counter as the rainbow sock flies in slow motion over your head.
You probably shouldn’t poke the bear but-
“Y’know, for the best shot the United States army had ever seen you sure do miss a lot.” You taunt from your hiding spot.
When there's no response, you make a break for the couch and get shot squarely in the forehead.
“Say that again.” He dares with narrowed eyes.
“Okay, truce. Truce!” You raise your hands in surrender.
“Say sorry for last night.” The pink ball of fluff in his hands, a deadly fate, and you’re consigned to concede
“I apologize for last night.” You sigh, approaching him with caution “Now, it’s been ten whole minutes and you still haven’t subjected me to your obscene morning breath.”
He beckons you with his head and you happily plod over, throwing your arms around his neck. The kiss is sweet, and full of promised mornings to come.
It’s welcomed by you. Until you feel the coldest thing known to man, his left arm, writhing under your shirt and sending immediate shivers down your back.
“Bucky!” You screech and his strong laughter descends on your morning with malice.
Desperately wiggling out of his hold, you escape to the bedroom and yell from your stronghold:
“That was an act of war James Buchanan Barnes!”

He couldn’t stop his hips from thrusting into your lips, the way your tongue ran on the underside of his dick— tracing the bulging vein.
“Doll… oh my… fuckkk.” He moaned out, his flesh hand tangling their fingers into your hair.
You hummed, sending vibrations into his dick. The action had him gripping your hair tight, the slight pain from your scalp shooting straight to your core. The throb had you whining around his length.
“Making me feel s’ good baby.” He praised breathlessly, easing his grip on your hair— petting it down soothingly.
You flattened your palms on his thighs, pushing forward until the head of his cock bumped the back of your throat.
His hips bucked instinctively, almost crying out at the way your throat was squeezing him. He grabbed the doorway of the boat, the wood splintering in his metal grip.
You pulled all the way off of him, before swallowing his entire length again— gagging as his head hit deeper in the back of your throat.
“S’ fucking good baby…” He whimpered, his head tilted back in ecstasy.
You snuck a hand down, playing with his balls, letting your other hand pump his length. You glanced up at him— spit leaking from your lips. You watched with lust filled eyes as he panted and whined.
“James… you’re so hard,” You purred, his head snapping down at you, “Bet you’re close, huh?”
He let out a pathetic whine as you squeezed his balls—his face contorted in pain.
“Words baby.” You demanded, leaning forward to swirl your tongue around his head.
His hips twitched slightly, the sensation of your tongue massaging around his tip heavenly. He let out a deep moan, feeling your tongue lick over his slit.
“S’ close doll— just like that.” He praised, letting his fingers comb through your hair.
There was something about you kneeling before him, eyes glossed over with lust, as the tears trailed down your cheeks— that made him absolutely feral. The position was so submissive, yet you held all the power. He was melting at your touch— his body putty at your hands.
You pumped his achingly hard length, giving his tip kitten licks. With your free hand caressing his thigh, you could feel the muscle twitch under your palm.
“Gonna cum James?” You asked hoarsely, his hazed over eyes meeting with yours.
You captured his length again, deepthroating him until your nose was buried into the hairs at the base of his cock. You gagged again, the convulsion from your throat making him growl in pleasure.
“Oh… that— keep doing that baby fuck…” He begged, his hips having a mind of their own, rocking into your face.
You whined around him, trying to breathe through your nose as he began to fuck your throat.
You reached around, grabbing handfuls of his ass— kneading the flesh. The action only made his thrusts deeper, his moans needier.
His thrusts were harsher, his needs a priority and if he had to use your face to chase his high— so be it. You on the other hand, we’re dripping. Your pussy was throbbing, him manhandling you making your entire body tingle— ache with desire.
He was nearly crying, his pants mixed with whines, getting impossibly close to the edge. You whimpered around him, his sounds only edging you on.
“Fuck baby… yes— you’re fucking mine,” He growled, his length growing impossibly harder at the image of you crying around him, “All mine.”
Your nails dug into the skin on his ass, your face drenched in tears, salvia leaking out of your mouth and down your chin. You gagged again, spurring him on further, his thrusts quicker. He grabbed your head, fucking your face with such force and suddenly he was pushing impossibly deeper in your throat, your jaw aching.
With an animalistic groan, he was spilling his seed down your throat. His breathing slowing, the waves of euphoria flowing throughout him. He stayed like that for a moment, relishing the feel of your throat around him.
At last, he released his death grip on your head. Slipping his cock from your throat with a hiss, his head sensitive. You gasped, panting in attempts to fill your lungs with the needed air.
With hooded eyes, Bucky gazed down at you with pleasure hazed eyes. His cock twitched at your flushed face, the tears tracks mixing with your spit— and his cum that had snuck out. Your eyes were slightly bloodshot, but as you gazed up at him— you were looking at him with such desire. You looked as if you were just getting started, and you wanted to devour him again.
“Such a good girl.” He whispered, voice hoarse.
He cradled your face, caressing your clammy cheek. He gently pulled you up, helping support your swaying state. You leaned into his palm, holding his gaze with adoration.
“I love you James.” You spoke into his palm, placing a kiss on his rough skin.
“I love you more baby.” He told you, wrapping his metal arm around your lower back, pulling you flush to him. “Now, let me return the favor.”

The Sleepover
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x reader
Words: 1,740
Summary: Bucky and Y/N have been dating for a while but he is yet to spend the night at her place. After breaking down barriers and allowing himself to drop his guard, Bucky soon decides it’s finally time to take the next step.
Warnings: Mentions of Bucky’s PTSD/recovery
A/N: This was inspired by the scene in TFATWS that shows Bucky waking up on his apartment floor. It’s such a visceral moment that sheds light on just how much trauma he carries with him, and I wanted to bring some lightness to that in the form of Y/N. Long story short, I just wanted our favourite super soldier to receive the comfort he so desperately needs and deserves.
--
Tumblr media
Your heart skipped a beat as you heard the unmistakable roar of Bucky’s motorcycle pulling up outside, and you launched yourself off the couch to greet him. The two of you had been dating for a little over four months now but tonight was the first time he was staying over and you were practically vibrating with excitement.
You had met a year ago when you’d been paired together on a scouting mission in Bucharest, spending an intensive four weeks trailing a suspected arms dealer. After spending the better half of a month shacked up together in a dingy apartment, it was inevitable you'd open up to one another eventually. After months of skirting around your feelings and your friends encouraging you both to speak up, the two of you had eventually plucked up the courage to confess your feelings and the rest, as the saying goes, was history.
Bucky had been a true gentleman from the very beginning and had confessed early on that he'd wanted to take things slow - it had been a long time since he'd courted a woman and thanks to his coloured past he'd all but given up on the prospect of love, so the concept of a relationship was one he still sometimes struggled to get his head around.
You understood completely and had made every effort not to overwhelm him. You were fully aware of his trauma and the suffering he'd endured and endeavoured to provide him with a calm, safe space that allowed him to let his guard down in a way he was comfortable with.
Over the last few months he'd gotten much better with touch and now it was at a point where he practically craved it. Whether he was holding your hand, laying his head in your lap while you watched TV or wrapping his arms around you from behind while you were cooking dinner, Bucky loved touch and would always find an excuse to be near you or touching you in some way. You were more than happy to indulge his needs and fussed over him at every opportunity, joking that he was like an overgrown puppy when it came to affection.
You could have cried with how sweet he’d been when he’d kissed you for the first time - he was so careful as he’d tenderly pressed his lips to yours, as though expecting to break you, and in that moment it had dawned on you that he probably wasn’t used to being so gentle towards another human being.
It was so fulfilling witnessing this once broken man rebuilding and flourishing in his new life, and you felt truly honoured that he wanted you to be a part of it.
At the sound of a knock at the door your excitement grew to an almost immeasurable amount, and you took a moment to gather yourself before answering.
You’d lost count of the amount of times you’d gone to bed alone after spending an evening with Bucky, aching for him to be beside you, and although you understood and respected his reasons for not staying you couldn’t help the sting of loneliness that crawled in whenever he left at the end of an evening.
The sight of him standing in your doorway with an overnight bag slung over his shoulder was one you’d never dared to believe you’d witness, yet here he was, casually leaning against the doorframe as he waited for you to answer the door.
“Hey Buck,” you grinned, stepping forward to greet him with a kiss which he eagerly welcomed. Wrapping his arms around you, he guided you backwards into your apartment, dropping his bag and kicking the door to a close behind him. You were breathless when he pulled away, staring up at him in awe.
“Wow, that was…just, wow,” you marvelled, completely lost for words.
“I could hear your heartbeat so I thought I’d ease some of your nerves,” he smirked, and your cheeks reddened at his confession.
“Dammit Barnes, I told you not to use your super hearing on me. What if I was in the bathroom!?”
“You think I haven’t heard you pee before?” His laughter - one of your favourite sounds - echoed around the room as you shot him a horrified glare, and he quickly pulled you into his embrace to ease your embarrassment.
“I’m reconsidering this sleepover already,” you grumbled into his chest as you wrapped your arms around his waist, breathing in his leathery scent. He chuckled and kissed the top of your head.
“Come on doll, why don't you show me where I’ll be sleeping.”
You immediately perked up at his words - which you suspected was his plan - and with a grin you grabbed his bag and led him to the bedroom to unpack.
The evening passed like any other - you cooked dinner, played some board games, and ended the night cuddled up on the couch with a movie - but instead of falling asleep in Bucky's arms like you usually did, you felt wide awake.
Bucky switched off the TV as you began to tidy away your empty glasses and snacks, and an awkward silence hovered over the room as you both pondered how to navigate the rest of the evening.
"So, sweetheart…what do you usually do at this point?" Bucky broke the silence as he came to lean against the counter beside you.
"Well, usually, once you've left I go to bed," you replied, realising that the suggestion of going to bed may be misinterpreted and quickly adding, "but we don't have to do that yet if you're not tired."
Bucky's hand came to rest on your arm and you looked up to find him smiling reassuringly.
"It's okay, doll. I'm happy to go to bed," he murmured, trailing his hand down to entwine his fingers with yours and leading you to your room.
You were already in your pyjamas so you slipped straight under the covers while Bucky walked round to the other side of the bed and began undressing down to his boxers. You couldn't resist a sneaky peek while his back was turned, and as soon as you gave in to your temptation you regretted it immediately - Bucky's chiselled body was truly a sight to behold and one you were sad to have to tear your eyes away from.
"Would you like me to strike a pose?" Your boyfriend's playful voice broke your train of thought and you snapped your eyes to his, finding him smirking at you with his hands on his hips.
You'd been caught red handed, and red faced! Your cheeks were blazing and you pulled the covers up to hide your face as Bucky crawled in next to you. The embarrassment quickly dissolved once he was laying next to you, your mind suddenly too preoccupied to care, and you turned to face him with a grin.
"You're here," you said gleefully, melting into his open arms.
"I'm here," he echoed, his smile mirroring yours.
With a tender kiss he pulled you closer, tucking you under his chin in a firm but gentle embrace, and soon you found the tendrils of slumber pulling you into the sleepy abyss.
–
A few hours later you were awoken by a cold breeze at your back, and you reached your hand out in the darkness, heart sinking when an empty bed greeted you.
Had Bucky left? Had he changed his mind about spending the night? Had you imagined the whole thing?
Your thoughts teetered on a downward spiral as you sat up and turned on the bedside lamp, but your insecurity quickly turned to confusion when you looked to your side and found that not only was Bucky missing from your bed, but his pillow was too.
Eyebrows knitting together, you swung your legs over the side of the bed and got up to try and solve the mystery, but you didn't get very far before your foot bumped into something solid.
Bucky.
The super soldier sat bolt upright at your touch, wide eyes staring straight ahead, and for a moment you feared he'd forgotten where he was altogether. He soon came to his senses, however, shaking off any remnants of sleep and looking up at you with a sheepish expression.
"I, uh…sometimes find it hard to sleep," he offered, fidgeting with the blanket he must have grabbed from the couch. "Sorry, I'm still kinda getting used to the idea of a comfortable bed."
He chuckled dryly and your chest tightened at his doleful expression - here was this brave, strong man who had been through hell, and he was apologising!?
That just would not do.
"Oh, Buck," you cooed, sinking to your knees in front of him and holding his face in your hands. "You don't need to apologise for anything."
His eyes met yours and you hoped he could see the love and sincerity in them. The guards he worked so hard to keep up slipped just a tiny bit, and he gave you a tearful smile as he rested his forehead against yours and closed his eyes. Kissing the top of his head, you turned and reached up to grab your pillow off the bed, setting it on the floor beside his before reaching back again for the covers.
"You don't have to do this, doll. You won't be comfortable," he protested once he realised you were intending to join him, but you simply waved a hand to quiet him.
"We're in this together now baby," you softly reassured, adjusting the blanket so it covered the both of you. "I'm right here with you every step of the way."
You kissed him deeply and he wrapped his arms around you, pulling you down with him as he laid back on the hardwood floor. By no means was it comfortable and you knew in the morning your back would be aching, but none of that mattered while you were at Bucky's side.
He'd been fighting his demons for so long, and he'd likely be fighting them for a long time to come, but there was no way you were going to let him continue fighting them alone.
Tucked tightly into Bucky's side, your head on his chest and the sound of his heart beating in your ears, you fell back to sleep with surprising ease, and neither you, nor Bucky, woke again until morning.

Advent Calendar 2023
Tumblr media
The soft glow of the fairy lights adorning your bedroom was the main source of illumination, casting a warm and inviting ambiance—shadows playing sensually on the walls. The air was infused with the heady aroma of scented candles, their fragrance creating a symphony of sensual notes—vanilla, cinnamon, and a hint of musk.
Bucky was seated on the end of the bed, adorned with silky sheets and plush pillows. The mattress supported his weight as he eagerly awaited you and the early Christmas present you had promised him.
The anticipation pulsed as the bathroom door creaked open, and out you strutted—a vision of holiday allure. Your short, little crimson dress hugged every curve of your tantalizing body; the view ignited a spark in Bucky’s gaze as he eyed you up and down. With the black pumps and the Santa hat perched on your head, Bucky instantly got hard, a silent curse eliciting deep within.
He watched your sultry movement, the room radiating with your suggestive presence as you approached him. The playful twinkle in your eyes matched the mischievous curve of your lips.
Bucky leaned back, propping himself on his palms on the mattress as you stood between his open legs. He was entirely captivated by the intoxicating sight before him, his eyes surveying every inch of you up close, palms twitching in need to peel off your slutty Mrs. Claus dress and accessories. Your nipples hardened under his gaze, panties becoming damp with desire.
“Fuck, you look incredible, doll,” he groaned, palming his hard cock.
“An early Christmas present for your eyes only,” you purred, your voice a seductive melody that sent shivers down his spine.
“You’re a sight for sore eyes, baby,” he declared, reaching out and grabbing your ass with a firm grip, fingers digging into your flesh. Your fingers tangled in his hair, pulling delicately on the strands as he kneaded your cheeks.
“I can’t wait to unwrap and play with you,” he murmured. You moaned softly, pussy throbbing with need at his erotic promise. His hands slid up your thighs, fingertips dancing on your sensitive flesh, making you shiver. He traced the outline of your panties, nuzzling his face in the fuzzy fabric of your dress.
He slipped his hand underneath them, fingers finding your wetness, and his other grabbed a firm grip on your hip. You gasped, eyelids fluttering as he rubbed against your clit. “Oh, yes,” you breathed.
His heavy-lidded eyes gazed into yours. “I’m gonna peel off this slutty little dress, slip these panties off, and taste that delicious cunt of yours,” he groaned, pressing the pad of his fingers hard against your aching clit. You whimpered your needs and desires of getting your pussy eaten and fucked to perfection by him.
He tutted playfully, retracting his hand from your panties, sucking off the wetness from his fingers. “Eager are we, doll? This is my present, and I get to examine and explore it before playing with it properly.”
Your heart raced, your breathing quickened, and body trembled in anticipation. His eyes glittered with mischief, and you knew he would make you beg for it.
He stood up from the bed, leaning over you, his hot breath tickling your ear, the heat of his body radiating against yours. “Tell me, doll, how badly do you want me to eat your pussy? Taste that sweet cunt of yours?” he whispered, tongue tracing the shell of your ear. You shuddered, voice coming out in a breathless whisper. “Please, Bucky, I need you,” you begged, voice shaking with desire. “Good girl,” he smirked, eyes glinting with lust.
He laid you gently on the bed, hovering on top, and his mouth descended on yours in a searing kiss.
You could feel his hard cock pressing against your thigh, and your body ignited with desire. He broke the kiss, lips trailing down your neck, tongue teasing your skin, teeth gently nipping. “I’m gonna eat your pussy, doll,” he growled, voice low and husky, “and you’re gonna beg me for more.”
You shuddered, pussy wet with need. “Fuck, please, Bucky. I can’t take it anymore.” you pleaded. He chuckled, fingers tracing the outline of your pussy through the damp panties, making you moan and buck your sex towards him. “Hmm, I won’t be so giving, to begin with, baby,” he sneered. “I’ll play and tease my present to begin with, pull your panties to the side and have a taste until you cry for me to unwrap you, eat your pussy properly, and then pound you hard into the mattress till you scream my name and your pussy quivers.” You cursed silently. His words alone could make you come apart.
He spread your lush legs, nestling comfortably between them as his fingers trailed up and down your inner thighs. His mouth mere inches from your covered core, making you squirm beneath him as his hot breath fanned across your wetness.
With a rough groan, he slid your panties to the side, pressing a wet, sloppy kiss on your aching clit. Your back arched off the bed as you cried out in pleasure, hands gripping the sheets as he continued to tease and torment you. He moved his mouth down, licking and sucking at your folds. “Oh, fuck, that feels so good,” you moaned, body trembling. He chuckled, tongue swirling around your clit, making you moan even louder. “You like that, huh?” he taunted, voice low and seductive. “Please don’t stop,” you begged, body aching for more. He chuckled at your neediness again before retracting from your core, making you cry out in frustration.
“Don’t worry, doll, I’m not done with you yet,” he growled. He gazed up at you, eyes dark with lust. “You’re gonna get everything you want and more.” And then he slid your panties off, revealing your wet, swollen cunt. He smiled, lips curling up in a wicked grin, uttering words that made your world shatter, “You have the prettiest pussy, doll.” He leaned down, tongue darting out to lick the entirety of your core, moaning at your taste. “You taste heavenly.”
You cried out, body aching into him as he continued to feast on you, tongue flicking and circling your clit. “Oh, god, that’s so good,” you whimpered, hands gripping the sheets as he continued to devour you. The tips of his fingers prodded your entrance, slowly pushing one in, the other following soon after, stretching and filling you to perfection, making you tangle your fingers in his hair as he used his mouth and fingers to build your toe-curling bliss.
“Baby, I’m so close,” you gasped, your body trembling with pleasure. He hummed, fingers thrusting deeper inside you, tongue lapping and flicking harder on your clit, making you cry out in ecstasy as you came hard.
Bucky smiled against your throbbing clit, lazily lapping at the sensitive nub, fingers still thrusting in and out of you, making you mewl and squirm beneath him as he worked you through the bliss.
“That felt so good,” you giggled breathlessly, combing your fingers through his hair as he gazed up at you lovingly, kissing your thigh. His fingers slid out, making you hiss at the loss of him. “I love making you come for me like that, doll. You look so breathtakingly beautiful,” he hummed, pressing a light kiss on your wet, swollen sex.
His fingers danced across your heated skin as he inched his way upward, lips grazing your collarbone, nipping at the sensitive skin. “I can’t wait to unwrap you completely and fuck you,” he murmured. His breath was hot against your neck as he continued to press open-mouth kisses on your flesh, whispering dirty promises. And finally, his lips met yours in a searing kiss, tongue tracing your lower lip, begging for deeper exploration. You opened eagerly for him, your tongue gliding and tangling with his.
“This dress needs to go,” he groaned, tugging it down gently, exposing more of your compelling skin. Your bra was the last thing to go, leaving you naked and vulnerable before him. “You’re a goddess, doll,” he whispered, voice husky with desire and love. Your body was a masterpiece to him, every curve and line perfectly sculpted. He was left breathless each time you lay naked below him. “I’m a lucky guy that gets to unwrap this perfection of a present.”
He leaned down, capturing your nipple in his mouth, sucking and nibbling on the peaked bud. You moaned, hands tangling in his hair as he lavished attention on your breasts. “Hmm, you’re so good at that, Bucky,” you hummed, body tingling with pleasure.
“I need to fuck you, or else I’m about to make a mess in my pants,” he chuckled, voice low and sultry.
His cock was hard and aching, throbbing in need to be let out and fuck your tight little cunt. He quickly discarded his sweater, his chiseled physique a temptation in the soft illumination of the room. You eyed him hungrily as he unbuckled his belt and pulled his pants down. His cock strained his underwear, creating a mouth-watering dent. All you wanted was to get down on your knees, worship his body and make a mess of yourself as you slurped and sucked his dick.
But you were deeply needy for each other, wanting to feel one another in the most intimate way possible, so you laid back, spreading your legs open wide, inviting him in. He positioned himself between your lush thighs, hands cupping the back of them, spreading you wider.
“Need to feel you inside me,” you purred, body trembling with anticipation. He rid himself of the underwear, his cock springing to life before you.
He pressed the leaking tip at your entrance, teasing you with the head that was swollen with desire. “Oh, Bucky, please,” you pleaded with a cry. He chuckled, hands gripping your waist as he glided his cock inside your tight walls, filling you up to perfection.
“You’re so tight and perfect, doll,” he groaned with shivers running down his spine. Your body was tight and hot, squeezing him like a vice, making him moan and thrust harder. “You fuck me so good, baby,” you whined.
He continued to thrust into you with long, deep strokes. Your body was heaven—tight pussy that enveloped his cock to perfection and perfect tits that bounced with each grounding thrust. Your every movement, every noise made him moan louder, thrusting into you with a feral rhythm, losing himself in you and the pleasure.
His cock hit your sweet spot, making you moan and see stars. Your hips buckled against him, body shivering with pleasure. He grunted, hips slamming against yours, cock throbbing inside you, ready to burst.
“Fuck, I’m gonna come,” he grunted, pulling out of your tight walls, jerking himself off, and releasing his load all over your stomach and breasts in a flood of blissful ecstasy.
You gasped, your body and empty pussy quivering as you watched him come apart. You were painted to perfection with his warm and sticky cum, a beautiful canvas before him.
His cock twitched as the last spurt left his body, his breath labored as he came down from the high of orgasm. You wore a smile on your face at watching him lose himself in you and violently paint you with his seed. But that smile turned into a pout as he hadn’t given you your release. Your pussy was aching, needy, and begging to be stuffed and made quiver. Bucky never left you unsatisfied, and you trusted that whatever plan he had to make you come once more would be mind-blowing, whether it be with his cock, tongue, or fingers.
As if he could read your mind, he stroked your cheek, his eyes holding promises of more love and pleasure. “Don’t worry, doll. I haven’t forgotten about you,” he said, thumb teasing your clit, rubbing it in slow circles.
Your teeth nibbled your lower lip, body tingling with pleasure as he continued to tease your clit, making you ache for more. “You’re so hot,” he groaned, eyes devouring your body. “I want to taste you, feel you come all over my face again.” He kissed you with passion before ghosting his lips over your cum covered body, seeking out your deprived cunt.
“You know how much I love to eat a freshly fucked pussy,” he hummed, face inches from your swollen folds and engorged clit. You tangled your fingers in his hair, pulling on the strands in a silent beg for him to devour you. His mouth latched onto your clit, sucking hard, making you cry and buck against his face. “Oh, fuck, fuck, fuck,” you cried out, body shaking.
He continued to suck and lick your clit, making you cry out in ecstasy. He slid two fingers inside your tightness, curling them to stroke your g-spot, making you convulse on the bed and see stars. Bucky builds you up to a toe-curling and body-rocking bliss that would fuck you up.
“Oh, god, you’re gonna make me come,” you sobbed, the pleasure an intense bliss. “Be a good girl and come for me.” You came hard, your body trembling, cunt quivering, your orgasm rocking you to the core.
You came all over his face, your juices making a mess of himself, you, and the bedding. He continued to lick and suck your clit, curling his fingers inside your pulsating walls until your orgasm subsided, your body sated from the pleasure. He pulled back, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand, a satisfied grin on his face. “You taste so good.” He pressed a light lingering kiss on your oversensitive clit, making you jolt and gasp. “You fucked me up so good, babe,” you giggled breathlessly. He chuckled, lavishing kisses on your thighs as you hummed in response. “You’re incredible, you know that, doll? Best early Christmas present I could have asked for.”
He crawled up your body, covering his mouth with yours, devouring you in a passionate kiss. You smiled through the passion, reveling in the afterglow of your otherworldly bliss. You wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him closer, kissing him back with equal ferocity; your tongues danced together, tasting each other as you grind your naked bodies together.
“The whole point of this was for me to deliver you the best early Christmas present ever, not the other way around,” you giggled between kisses. “I was supposed to be on my knees this whole evening and worship you, babe,” you purred, fisting his hardness and jerking his slick cock,” but you got me sidetracked with your dirty words, tongue, and fingers.”
He groaned, eyes devouring your body and your hand pumping his cock. “Well, you were pretty irresistible, doll, in that slutty little Mrs. Claus dress. I couldn’t help myself, and you know how much I enjoy and love giving you pleasure.”
He moaned as you continued to pump his aching cock, slowly thrusting into your palm, chasing his second orgasm. “Hmm, how about we continue this in the shower, babe? I can show you exactly what my original intent was for your early Christmas present,” you purred. Bucky nodded eagerly, cock twitching, ready to burst all over you again, but with a giggle, you released him. “Not yet, baby,” you tutted teasingly. “Now it's my turn to tease and torment, just like you did me…”

Happy reading!!
"Sammy!" A figure barrelled into Sam Wilson, almost making the five-foot-ten man topple over.
The girl's arms wrapped tightly around his bulky frame, hanging on for dear life. Her tears soaked his shirt, and her nails dug into his biceps almost painfully, but he said nothing. He only hugged her back with as much vigour and passion, letting his salty tears mix with hers.
Although no time had passed for Sam, years had passed for the girl—five to be exact—and he could feel all her emotions pouring out of her like a dam broken loose.
"Sammy!" she sobbed while her body shook violently. "You're back!"
"I've been back." Sam stroked a hand over the girl's hair, offering her comfort. "I've been here. Where were you?"
The first thing Sam did after he was blipped back to life was to call his sister, Sarah. Only to be told that five years had come and gone. His nephews, who were babies when he left, were now little men. The second thing Sam did was ask about Baby Girl.
He remembered when he first met her. Her family moved to the bayou when she was just five; Sam was fifteen. When her parents died, Sam's family took her in as their own, giving her the same amount of love they gave their other two kids.
So he was surprised, then, to find that Sarah hadn't heard from her in almost two years. Sam, himself, had no luck in locating her until recently. It took him eight months, but he finally found her. She had moved to New York and cut all ties with previous friends and family.
Sam wanted to ask why. Why leave Sarah and the boys? Why leave the only home she ever knew? His questions could wait, though. Now that she was here, he wouldn't ever let her go.
"Hey, Baby Girl," Sam shushed her when she sobbed louder, "I'm here. I'm not leaving again. Promise."
So fascinated by how she had aged from an awkward teen on the precipice of adulthood into a beautiful young woman, Sam did not notice the bruises lining her sides and underneath her clothes—or the circles under her eyes—from almost two years of interrupted sleep. Or the absence of light in her usually glowing irises.
When she let her entire weight fall on Sam and sobbed as she had when her parents died, he did not question it, only held on tighter and carried her towards the house.
"I've got you now, Baby Girl. Everything is gonna be just fine."

While he did not explicitly say anything, Bucky Barnes found the Wilson Family Residence quite endearing. His house in the thirties had been small, and even his current apartment in Brooklyn was compact—which he liked—but there was something so serene about the land surrounding the Wilson residence, so very peaceful.
After ninety years of constant fights, one after the other, all Bucky really wanted was some peace and quiet. And now, he could easily find it after absolving himself of most of the guilt he was carrying.
It wasn't easy, but Bucky told Yori the truth about his son's death and since then, had managed to cross a few more names off his list of amends. A weight lifted off Bucky's shoulders as everything began to make sense.
The Flag Smasher's fiasco was over with, and while the Powerbroker was still at large, there was no immediate threat. Bucky Barnes could rest for now before trouble found him again—as trouble often did. Sam had asked Bucky to stay over for the long weekend, and Bucky had happily obliged.
"It'll be good for you. Get away from that city life."
Bucky agreed. If all went well, he might end up buying his own house. He had a little... calm in Wakanda, and he missed the solidarity.
The axe was steadfast in his hands as he brought it down towards his target, and the sturdy stump was no match for the combined strength of both, the sharp tool, and Bucky's enhanced strength. In one meagre swing, half the stump broke off and landed on the ground with a muffled thump.
Bucky wiped the sweat off his brow with his right arm. It was the middle of June, and while the days were sweltering hot and sticky, the nights could get cold in comparison. Sam had tasked Bucky to get the logs for the fire, seeing as he was the most efficient.
Bucky continued with his work until he got a steady rhythm, stopping periodically to sip his still cold beer. It was then that his enhanced hearing picked up on the strangest sound. He perched the axe on his left shoulder and looked towards the house where Sam Wilson seemed to be consoling a crying girl.
"Huh." Bucky didn't find the exchange as odd as he should have. Everyone around the bayou was always coming to Sam for something. Whether it was a favour, or a shoulder to cry on. Bucky thought she must be someone special if he was hugging her like that.
When Sam took the girl into the house, Bucky shook his head and finished the last of his beer. He continued chopping more wood until the sun began to set, which is when he deposited the axe back into the shed and made his way inside to crash on the couch. Tomorrow would be a long day, what with the bonfire Sam was hosting, and all. Bucky fell to a dreamless sleep the second his head touched the pillow.
Tumblr media
He was a light sleeper. So Bucky immediately woke up when he heard someone coming down the stairs. It took him a second to become aware of his surroundings, as it always did. He was in Louisiana, crashing on Sam's couch for the weekend.
Bucky turned his head to the left to see who it was. Probably the boys; they were early risers and loved pestering Bucky about his metal arm—not that he minded. He found their interest refreshing and loved putting a smile on their faces. He was surprised, then, to find a girl instead. The same one from yesterday.
Huh. The girl looked a mess, with only half her hair pulled back into a makeshift ponytail and black makeup smudged under her eyes. Her pants were unbuttoned, hanging precariously from her hips, and her jacket was falling off her shoulders, a few sizes too big. She was holding a pair of shoes in one hand, her phone and shirt in the other. She was also balancing a purse in the crook of her elbow.
It was the shirt that did it. Because, while the girl's own blouse was in her hands, she was wearing Sam's grey-green T-shirt. Bucky knew because that's what Sam was wearing yesterday. She was someone special then if she was wearing his clothes.
Bucky smirked. He was very aware of what the girl had been doing. He, himself, had been on both ends of the situation before. Though it was very long ago, he still remembered the embarrassment of being caught leaving a girl's room in the early hours of the morning.
The girl screamed when she saw Bucky, not expecting anyone to be up, much less lying on the couch and watching her horrible attempt at sneaking out. "Oh, God!" Her phone slipped from her grasp and landed on the floor with a loud clatter.
There was a moment of silence where the two merely stared at each other. Bucky, with poorly concealed amusement, and the girl, with mild horror. She moved first, crouching down to pick up her cracked phone.
"Does it still work?" Bucky's voice was raspy from disuse. When tears gathered in the girl's eyes as a reply, Bucky immediately sat up, dropping his amusement in exchange for concern. He knew nothing about her, but it seemed like she cried a lot.
"No," she murmured, though Bucky heard her as if she were beside him. "Oh, God. No, no, no, no, no..."
"Hey, it's alright," Bucky told her as he crouched down to pick up the purse she had thrown in her haste. He hesitated when he saw a shiny ring peeking out from one of the compartments—too fancy and expensive-looking to be something ordinary. He quickly tucked the circle back and ignored it. Had Sam proposed to her? Bucky was offended he hadn't told him. Maybe it was recent. "Is it turning on?"
"Oh God! N-no," the girl stuttered through her tears.
Bucky was convinced that this girl—who cried a lot—only knew how to say "no" and "oh, God."
"I'm sure Sam can get you a new one, no big deal. What's your name?" Bucky offered the girl his right hand, which she promptly ignored.
She shot up on unsteady legs. "I have to go."
Bucky mimicked her. "Okay?" It was turning out to be a very unusual conversation.
"I have to go," she said again, more slowly this time, as if he were a little kid who couldn't understand a word of English.
Bucky cleared his throat awkwardly, shifting on his legs before giving the girl her purse back. "Right."
The tally was now up to "no," "oh, God," and "I have to go." At least she wasn't crying anymore. Bucky hastily stepped out of the girl's way when he realized he was blocking the hall that led to the front door.
She moved as if someone lit a fire under her. One second, she was there, and the next, she was out the door with her pants still unbuttoned, her jacket still falling off her shoulder, and her shoes still in her hand.
"Nice to meet you..." Bucky dropped his hand and trailed off when he realized she couldn't hear him anymore.
Huh. Either Bucky still didn't know how to talk to people, or that girl was on something. A lot of youngsters nowadays did drugs for fun. Bucky didn't understand it, nor did he want to. He could just ask Sam about it later.
Bucky stretched his arms above his head and cracked his neck. A couch was considerably comfier than the floor but still gave him a stiff back. No matter, a quick run could swiftly solve that problem. Bucky turned on the coffee machine and was biting into an apple when a shirtless Sam came barreling down the stairs.
"You sleep good, man?" Sam asked.
"Yeah," Bucky shrugged, wiping some juice from his chin, "I slept good. Well, as good as I can, considering..."
Sam hummed before opening the fridge and taking a swig of the orange juice. "Nightmare?"
Bucky shook his head. "I don't remember it—Listen, you didn't tell me you had a girl up there."
"A girl?"
"Messy hair, pretty face. Was crying yesterday?"
"Baby Girl? You saw that?" Sam stopped peeling the banana in his hand to look at Bucky.
Bucky merely shrugged and grabbed a mug from the cupboard.
"Sorry I didn't tell you she was over," said Sam, taking a bite of his now-peeled banana. "We were up talking real late. I guess I forgot."
"Yup. Talking," Bucky muttered with a smirk as he poured his coffee. "I bet."
"What?" Sam implored.
"Uh, nothing. Just, the girl seemed nice."
"She is nice," Sam retorted. "You met her?"
Bucky nodded and took a sip of his coffee. Black, just as he preferred it.
"Didn't think she'd be awake," Sam said with a yawn. "She barely slept."
Bucky had to try really hard to keep himself from laughing. "Well, she was."
"She was?" Sam asked suspiciously. "What do you mean she was? Did she go back to bed?"
Bucky shook his head. "She left."
"She left?" Sam scoffed, propping a hand on his hip. He had never looked more like Steve.
"That's what I said," Bucky confirmed, taking another sip. "She's gone."
"Gone?" Sam grumbled. "Bucky, what the hell are you talking about?"
Sam's accusing behaviour was really starting to irk Bucky, making him think the girl's sneaking out was not mutual. Shit.
He laughed uncomfortably and put his mug down on the counter. "Your girl came running down the stairs, half-dressed. She dropped her phone, cracked it, didn't let me help. Then she said she 'had to go' and practically ran out of here, I dunno."
"When?" A vein popped in Sam's forehead as he grabbed a random shirt from the pile of clean laundry near the stairs.
Bucky hastily checked the watch on his right arm. "Fifteen, maybe twenty minutes tops."
That made Sam utter a series of colourful swears as he finished his breakfast and found his wallet.
"Wait, Sam, what's going on?"
Sam didn't answer Bucky, too busy looking for his keys in the wrong place.
"Sam!" Bucky asked louder.
"We talked about this!" Sam scoffed. "I told her to at least stay for the weekend. I can't believe this! We sat down like adults and came to an understanding." He finally found his keys on the key hook.
"Where are you going, Sam?" Bucky countered.
"I'm going to get her," Sam snapped before sighing dramatically and letting his shoulders droop. "Shit, I do not have time for this, Baby Girl."
Bucky moved over the kitchen counter and stood in front of Sam. "What about that meeting you've got?"
"What meeting?" Sam asked.
"That meeting about that thing," supplied Bucky.
"What thing?" Sam grumbled.
"You know what thing," Bucky countered.
"Oh. That. I'm gonna have to reschedule—Man! Where are my shoes?!"
"Why?"
"Why?" Sam echoed. "What's with all the questions, Buck? Because I have to get Baby Girl before she skips town and disappears on me again."
"Sam."
"I haven't seen her in eight months, man, and she hasn't seen me in five years. I'm not about to let her leave—"
"Sam!" Bucky shouted loud enough for his friend to hear. He grabbed his wallet and his keys and put on his jacket. "You're going to that meeting, Sam."
"Like hell I am," Sam retorted passionately.
"I'll go pick up your Baby Girl," Bucky said after downing the rest of his coffee. "You, go to your meeting."
Sam stopped for a moment and seriously considered Bucky's proposal. It was an important meeting. "She'll probably be at the taxi stand," he finally relented. "You know the one?"
Bucky nodded, tying up his shoelaces. "Yeah, I know the one."
"Buck?" Sam called when Bucky was stepping out the door. "You better bring her back, or else I'm gonna light a fire under your ass."
Bucky chuckled, pushing his sunglasses up his nose. "Understood, Sam."

The taxi stand was abandoned. Really, what did the girl expect so early in the morning? It was a long weekend, and the residents of Delacroix rarely needed a commute into the city on an ordinary Friday. She was arguing with the lone taxi driver, pleading with him, really, to take her to the nearest airport. But the man kept denying her. He had been up all night and insisted on napping, telling her to wait another twenty minutes.
She didn't have twenty minutes, damn it. If anything, she needed more time. Time she didn't have.
Her phone could be blowing up right now, and she wouldn't know it. She wouldn't know the consequences of her actions until she bought a new phone. But maybe—just maybe, a voice inside her reasoned—Quentin would be too busy with his work retreat to notice her absence.
The girl tried getting the driver's attention again, who shot her the most hateful look she had ever received before starting his cab and driving away. "Hey! Wait!" she called out, but he had already turned the corner.
A laugh made her spin around. It was the man from this morning, the one on Sam's couch. He stood before her with his arms crossed, a big smile overtaking his face.
"You must not be from the city," he mused, "if you're that bad at hailing a cab."
Bucky had no trouble locating the girl, what with her being the only person in a one-mile radius demanding to be taken to the nearest airport. Her feeble attempts amused him, and frankly, Bucky was having trouble believing she was Sam's girl. He didn't think Sam would've gone for someone as... difficult as her. But hey, it was Sam wanting to spend the rest of his life with her, not Bucky.
Bucky surveyed the girl from head to toe. Her hair was settled, her pants buttoned, and most of her composure seemed to have returned. However, she had gone pale once he revealed himself, her eyes wide with guilt. She was caught red-handed; now, he would be the one to deliver her to Sam.
Bucky pointed at her with his left arm. "Sam wants you home."
He was surprised to see that when she looked down at the shiny metal, recognition flared through her eyes rather than shock or disgust. Good, he thought. She knows who I am.
"No, thank you," she managed to squeak out, and Bucky was pleased to know that the girl's vocabulary extended past the three phrases he had come to know her for.
"You seem smart," he told her when he saw her looking behind him, "but not that smart."
"Yeah?" she challenged, gaining a rare bit of courage. "What makes you say that?"
"You know who I am and what I'm capable of. Smart. You think you can run from me. Not smart."
"Is that right?" she asked. Bucky nodded, and the girl took a deep breath. "I must not be too smart then."
He raised a brow in challenge, wondering where she would go from there.
Suddenly, the girl threw her arms above her head and waved them with abandon. "Mr. Thurow!" she shouted, running past Bucky. "Mr. Thurow!"
Bucky slowly walked towards the girl, unhurried in his steps. He wanted to know what she would do.
"Mr. Thurow!" the girl panted. "I need your help."
"Jesus Christ!" Mr. Thurow bellowed. "As I live and breathe! Is that you, Baby Girl?" He was a stocky man with a kind smile and welcoming eyes.
"Yes, Mr. Thurow," the girl began confidently, "it is. I need your help, please. This man," she pointed behind her at Bucky, "is—"
"Carlos!" Bucky interjected with a smile. "How are you?"
"Sergeant Barnes! Back again already?" Carlos turned his attention away from the girl.
Bucky watched with amusement as the girl's face scrunched with confusion. Her lips parted slightly, and she blinked rapidly. "What can I say, Carlos? I was missing your potato salad."
"Hell yeah, you were," Carlos guffawed.
The girl stood there dumbfounded as the two men embraced each other.
"You know, it was my great nan's recipe?" Carlos asked. "Been in the family for generations."
"I didn't know that. You bringing it tonight?"
"For the bonfire?" Carlos confirmed. "You bet I am."
"Well," Bucky gestured to the girl, "I was just taking Baby Girl here back home. She got a little lost, and Sam was starting to worry." Bucky made sure to make himself sound condescending on purpose.
He heard her scoff. "I was not lost."
"Well, you get her home safe, then. Understood, Barnes? I want to see both of you tonight." Carlos mockingly glared at the girl and winked at Bucky before departing.
"See you, Carlos!" Bucky called out to his retreating figure. "Well?" he questioned, turning his attention to the girl after a moment of silence. "Are you gonna run and embarrass yourself again, or are you gonna come with me?"
"I am not going anywhere with you!" the girl scoffed.
"I will take you kicking and screaming if I have to," Bucky warned.
The girl took a step back hastily, believing his threat. "You're a heathen."
Well, Bucky shrugged. He had been called worse. "Sam threatened me with fire, and that's not how I'd like to leave this world if it's all the same to you."
The girl seemed to consider his words for a moment. "Fire is a painful way to go," she finally mused.
"It is," Bucky agreed.
"I don't like you," she told him bluntly.
"Okay." A lot of people didn't like Bucky. One more wouldn't hurt.
"But no one deserves to die like that."
It seemed the spawn of Satan had a heart.
"Does seem excessive," said Bucky.
The girl paused again. "If I run, you'll catch me." It wasn't a question.
"Always," Bucky promised, and the girl must have believed him because her shoulders deflated, and she hung her head in submission.
"Doesn't seem like I have a choice," she whispered, though Bucky heard her all the same.
"You don't."
"Okay," she relented.
"Okay. Let's go." Bucky led her toward where he parked, and the girl followed silently.
Good, she isn't being insufferable any longer, Bucky thought. Though, luck must not have been on his side that day because not a second later, once his bike came into view, the girl started complaining.
"No. I'm not sitting on that death trap."
Bucky turned to her with an annoyed groan. "Really?"
"I hate bikes!" she told him.
"What? You rather walk?" Bucky crossed his arms.
"Yes, please," the girl replied, mimicking his posture. "I walked all the way here, didn't I?"
"Well, too bad!" snapped Bucky. "We're taking the bike." He grabbed his helmet and handed it to her. He groaned again when she didn't take it and only looked at him like she'd never seen a helmet before. Maybe she hadn't. He wouldn't be surprised. Bucky rolled his eyes and placed the helmet on the girl's head, securing the straps and confirming it fit snugly.
"It's loose," she complained.
"Your head's a lot smaller than mine..." Bucky took his previous statement back. He could definitely see the girl and Sam together. Both of them were insufferable shitheads and obviously perfect for each other.
"Sit," he gestured to the bike. And when the girl turned to him with the same blank look in her eyes, Bucky merely huffed in annoyance. He picked her up and deposited her on the seat as if she weighed nothing. And she didn't. He ignored her shouts of protest and sat in front of her.
"Where's your helmet?" She sounded worried for him.
Bucky laughed. "I don't need one."
"Yes, you do," she chastised him. "You could die."
"I'm a super soldier," Bucky said as an answer.
"Even super soldiers die," the girl retorted.
"I won't die," Bucky responded blandly before revving the engine. "Hold on tight."
"I am not touching youuuu..." The girl ended her sentence with a sudden shriek when Bucky unexpectedly released the throttle and speedily drove away. Her arms wrapped around his torso in a vice-like grip, and she hid her face in his jacket. "Oh, God!" she screamed. "Oh, my God!"
She took her flailing legs and tried wrapping them around Bucky's hips, which made him laugh in surprise. She was holding onto him like a koala bear, all while screaming bloody murder in his ears. Her nails dug sharply into his chest, but he ignored the sting. He couldn't wait to see her face once they stopped.
And eventually, they did. Bucky parked his bike in the back and told the girl to get off, which, of course, she didn't do. He got up anyway, taking her with him, though she didn't let him go once he was standing.
Bucky tapped on the hand around his shoulder. "You can let go now. It's safe."
The girl obediently unwrapped herself from his body, falling indiligently to the ground.
"See?" Bucky smirked. "We didn't die."
"Oh my God," she groaned, shaking on the ground. "I can't feel my legs."
Bucky laughed, extending his metal arm towards her, which she took without complaint. "Let's try again," he suggested once she was steady on her feet. "I'm Bucky."
The girl told him her name, and he repeated it with a smile. "I still don't like you," she said.
"The feeling's mutual, doll." And if she blushed at the pet name? Well, Bucky simply chose to ignore it.
Tumblr media
He was on his third beer, a shame, really, since he couldn't feel it. But Bucky had developed a liking for the taste. It reminded him of better times. Before the war, and before his life completely changed.
Sam plopped down on the chair next to Bucky, a happy but tired smile on his face. Bucky turned to Sam and took a s'more from his outstretched hand, biting into the gooey center with a groan. "Man, this is good. I can't remember the last time I had one of these."
"Probably before Christopher Columbus discovered America."
"That's not funny, Sam," Bucky frowned. "Besides, everyone knows the Clovis people got here first, twenty thousand years ago."
"I didn't know that!"
"Because you're stupid," Bucky retorted.
"Whatever," scoffed Sam. He slid down in his chair and muttered "nerd" under his breath.
Bucky was preparing a retort when something caught his eye. The girl was playing with AJ and Cass, trying to catch them as they ran around the fire. Bucky cracked his knuckles and prepared to confront Sam. "You're really mean, you know that?
"Why? Because I called you a nerd?" Sam scoffed. "Well, it's true."
Bucky shook his head and levelled Sam with a glare. "Because you didn't tell me you're getting married."
A long silence followed. "Who's getting married?"
"You are!" Bucky exclaimed. "I didn't even know you had a girl."
"Because I don't!" Sam straightened. "And I'm not getting married."
"But—" Bucky was at a loss for words, then a thought struck him. "Holy shit, Sam! Don't tell me you—" Bucky leaned forward, lowering his voice considerably. "You slept with a married woman!"
Sam's face screwed up. "What the fuck are you talking about? I didn't sleep with anyone!"
Bucky was stunned, realizing a moment too late that he had completely misread the situation.
"Start from the beginning," Sam urged. And so Bucky told him what happened that morning, how the girl came down half-dressed and wearing his shirt. Bucky thought she was a one-night stand until he saw the ring in her purse, and Sam brought her back to his house.
"So, she's not your fiancé?"
"No! She's like a sister."
"But you call her Baby Girl!"
Sam rubbed his temples. "Everyone calls her that. Listen," he sighed, "maybe I should've introduced the two of you before, but I was overwhelmed by seeing her after so long. Besides, I didn't think you would start jumping to conclusions!"
Bucky rubbed his neck in embarrassment. Perhaps he was too quick to assume the girl was Sam's significant other. But if she wasn't involved with Sam, then who exactly was she?
The girl was sitting across from Bucky and Sam on the other side of the fire pit, nibbling on a s'more. The two men watched her as they talked.
"Her family lived in the plot behind ours. They were good people."
"Were?" Bucky questioned, feeling like there was more to the story.
Sam seemed to dissociate for a moment as if he were somewhere else. "Eleven years ago, my dad woke me up in the middle of the night and told me to run to town and wake as many folks as possible. There was a fire down the street, and the trucks had broken down on the highway."
Bucky tensed, hating the direction the story was taking.
"The smoke was so thick I was choking on it from a block away. Over half the house was up in flames by the time I got back. Three men went in and came right out not a second later. Folks were throwing bucketfuls of water to try and contain it, but I remember thinking that was useless. It's like the flames had a mind of their own."
It was then that Bucky accidentally made eye contact with the girl. She frowned at the intense look on his face, jerking her head as if to ask, "What?"
"What happened next?" Bucky asked without removing his gaze.
"I went towards the back, where the fire wasn't as strong. The upstairs window was wide open, and I found Baby Girl lying on the ground with twisted legs and blood oozing from her head." Sam scoffed a laugh, though there was no humour behind it.
Bucky's jaw dropped. "She jumped?"
Sam shook his head. "We found out later that her brother pushed her. My entire family was at the hospital when we broke the news that she was the only survivor."
"Shit." Baby Girl was glaring daggers at Bucky now, though he couldn't take her seriously. Melted chocolate dripped down her chin, and her hair was mussed from the wind. Bucky imagined her eleven years younger, wide-eyed and trembling as her life crumbled around her. He recalled her comment from that morning. "Fire is a painful way to go." "No one deserves to die like that." He looked away.
"She's acting like you're keeping her hostage," Bucky remarked.
"I might as well be," Sam grumbled. "She's dying to go back to New York, and she won't give me a proper reason why."
When Bucky looked back at the girl, she was chatting with Carlos Thurow, seemingly pleading with him. She waved her broken phone, and Bucky could see the cracks on the screen glinting from where he sat. Baby Girl slumped her shoulders in defeat when Carlos took his own phone out to show it had died.
Bucky felt a jolt in his chest as he watched the girl run her hands through her hair in frustration. Something was wrong.
Sam whistled beside him, waving Baby Girl over. The effect was immediate. Baby girl plastered on a shoddy smile, exaggerating a laugh as she waved back and made her way to them.
"You seem happy," Sam observed as the girl took the empty chair beside Bucky.
Bucky looked at Sam to see if he was joking. Sam was no spy, but didn't one have to be blind to not see how miserable Baby Girl looked under her fake smile?
"The party's very fun," Baby Girl answered. "It's—" guilt flashed across her features. "It's nice to see everyone after so long."
"Could've been sooner," Sam muttered.
"I told you I was busy!" she exclaimed. "I didn't have time to leave the city."
"But you won't tell me why," Sam countered. The fight seemed to leave his body, and he sighed. "I didn't call you over to argue with you. I won't bring it up again."
Baby Girl turned her nose to the sky in a way that made Bucky laugh. "You better not." And the conversation flowed smoothly from there.
Bucky offered her a beer, which she accepted with a smile, and the three laughed and joked about until tears ran unbidden down their cheeks. However, despite the mirth dancing in the air, Bucky could not ignore the lingering sadness in her eyes.
"You won't believe what this man asked me before," Sam guffawed, pointing accusingly at Bucky. "He asked if we were engaged!"
Laughter burst forth from mirth-kissed lips. "That's disgusting!" she managed between giggles. "What made you think that?"
Bucky felt flushed under her attention. "You were wearing Sam's clothes that morning," he explained sheepishly. "And I saw a ring in your purse."
Her face made a radical transformation. One moment, she was smiling in a way that made Bucky's heart flutter—the next moment, all pleasure seemed to drain away from her body, leaving her looking gaunt and haggard. Sam was too busy laughing at his untied shoelaces to notice the change in atmosphere, but Bucky felt the full force of it slam against his chest.
"I don't have a ring."
"But I—"
"No!" Her words seemed laced with desperation. Her sober eyes flicked toward Sam. "There was no ring," she stressed.
Bucky could see the hopelessness in her eyes. "Right," he muttered. "I must have been mistaken."
Sam, who had overcome his slight scramble with his shoelaces, sat upright. Inebriation laced his every move. "Right. But that made me think."
"That's never a good thing," Bucky interjected, trying to ease the lingering tension.
"Are you dating anyone? Sarah said she didn't know, but you can always tell me. Huh?" Sam teased. "Tell me. Who's the unfortunate bastard?"
Baby Girl's lips were a thin line, and Bucky anticipated the lie before she could open her mouth. "It's nothing like that. I'm not dating anyone." She finished the rest of her drink and immediately grabbed another.
"You can't lie to me," Sam wiggled his finger. "Come on, fess up. Whoever he is, he can't be worse than Beck."
Baby Girl froze, and Bucky's curiosity was piqued too much to ignore. "Beck?"
"Quentin Beck. Biggest asshole on the planet," Sam explained. "Beck and Baby Girl dated on and off in college. I would catch the bastard every other week with a different woman."
Bucky scrutinized the girl for a reaction, but she seemed to be holding her breath.
Sam began to pout like a child. "He always managed to win her over. At least I can die easy knowing they broke up before half the world blipped."
"He's not like that anymore," Baby Girl whispered to herself. Sam was too far to hear her, but Bucky had no such problem. "He's changed." She wrapped her arms around her body. "He's not like that anymore."
Bucky took in her dark under-eyes and trembling frame, her body sickly from stress. He believed her. Beck wasn't like that anymore. Perhaps he had moved on from his days of serial cheating and picked up a different hobby. Beck probably wasn't like that anymore, but he wasn't any better either.
The former spy suspected that Baby Girl was still involved with Beck. He observed her closely. Her eyes swirled with guilt, and her shoulders drooped in alarm. There was more to the story, but before Bucky could voice a question, Baby Girl stumbled onto unsteady feet. She swayed back and forth, betraying her inebriation, and Bucky reached over to keep her from falling.
Baby Girl pushed his hands away. "I'm tired," she croaked. "I'm going to bed." And she staggered away, bumping into people as she disappeared into the house.
Bucky relaxed back in his seat with a tired sigh. On his left, Sam was passed out over the arm of his chair, mouth open in a loud snore. Bucky craned his neck back and stared openly at the night sky. Stars twinkled brighter here than they did in the city. Everything was more serene and calm. However, since Baby Girl arrived, Bucky couldn't help but sense a slight shift in the air, as if the wind knew her secrets and was trying to warn them. One thing was made clear. It wouldn't be pretty.
Tumblr media
It felt oddly like déjà vu. A light clambering of feet roused Bucky from his half-sleep, and as always, it took a second for him to make sense of his surroundings. He was on Sam's couch.
The steps were hesitant and controlled—so not AJ and Cass. Excitement and a sugar overload had kept them up late, and they wouldn't wake until a few hours later. Bucky was proven right when a lone woman descended the steps instead of two boys.
She looked a lot better than the last time he had seen her. Freshly showered and reasonably presentable in her own clothes this time—not Sam's. She hadn't seen him yet, so Bucky took the opportunity to observe her a moment longer. Her under-eye area was still dark, though not as sunken as before, and she carried an air of determination around her.
"Good morning," Bucky broke the silence.
Baby Girl shrieked, seemingly slipping over nothing. She tumbled backward, falling in an indelicate heap onto an armchair. "God above!"
Her vocabulary was steadily expanding.
Bucky sat up, regarding her with a guilty expression. "Sorry."
"I forgot you were still here," she mumbled sheepishly, straightening herself into a more respectable position.
There was a moment of awkward silence where neither acknowledged the other.
"I was wondering..." the girl started.
"Yeah?"
"Could I borrow some money? I didn't bring enough with me from New York."
"Uh, sure," Bucky replied, grabbing his wallet from between the couch cushions. "How much do you need?"
Baby Girl looked down at her hands, tracing lazy lines on her palm. "One grand?" she grimaced.
Bucky looked at her with wide eyes. "What do you need a thousand dollars for?"
"I can make do with less!" she rushed to explain. "I can try stretching an eight hundred," she murmured. "But a new phone would be too expensive, and I'm not sure I can find a cheap last-minute flight."
"Excuse me?" Bucky exclaimed. He was fully awake now, leaning forward to hear her better. "What was that about a phone and a flight?"
Her guilty eyes met his confused ones. "I broke my phone," she explained, "so I need a new one. I also need to get back home, so I need to buy a plane ticket."
Bucky eyed her skeptically. "I thought you were staying."
"I changed my mind," she dismissed with a shaky wave. "I already went over it with Sam."
Bucky knew for a fact she was lying. She wouldn't even meet her eyes. "Is that what he would say if I asked him?"
"Of course!" she proclaimed. But Bucky could hear the hesitance.
"Okay. I'll go ask Sam." Bucky made to get up, but as predicted, the girl stopped him.
"Wait! Don't!"
Bucky sat back down with a satisfied smirk. "You're a sneaky little thing."
"Don't tell Sam," Baby Girl pleaded. "I'm sorry I lied. I didn't have another choice. He locked my credit card. Otherwise, I wouldn't be asking you for this favour."
"Hmm," Bucky hummed, crossing his arms and getting comfortable. "I'd be willing to help you—Only..." Bucky stressed when she tried to interrupt. "If you answer a few questions first."
Baby Girl mimicked Bucky's posture with a frown. "That hardly seems fair."
"I can always call Sam."
"Fucking fine," Baby Girl grumbled.
Satisfied by the flow of things, Bucky started his interrogation. "Why are you in such a rush to go back home?" Bucky asked, deciding to start small. He could tell Baby Girl was thinking hard about her answer, trying not to give too much away. She squinted her eyes as if it were putting strain on her. He decided she would make a horrible spy.
"I left in a hurry. I only planned a day trip. I don't have any clothes or money on me."
Bucky shook his head. "That's not what I asked."
Baby Girl glared at him. "I don't understand the question."
"What's waiting for you in New York? Do you have a job? A prior commitment? A boyfriend?" Bucky stretched that last word, giving the girl a smirk.
"I don't have a boyfriend," she frowned.
"Fiancé, then," Bucky concluded. "I saw that ring in your purse." He suddenly leapt forward, grabbing Baby Girl's left hand and pulling it toward him to inspect.
She initially squeaked a protest but stayed still as he prodded her ring finger with his eyes. "Tan line," he observed, and she snatched her limb back, throwing the most menacing glare she could manage toward him.
"No fiancé," she hissed.
"I don't believe you," Bucky shrugged. "Job, then? What do you do?"
It took too long for her to answer, making it obvious she was concocting a lie in her head. "I work in the... customer field. Where I work with customers."
If Bucky wasn't on the verge of laughter, he might've cringed from the secondhand embarrassment.
"And... books." She was obviously lying. Even she didn't believe what was coming out of her mouth.
"I think my cat might be a better liar than you," He remarked drily.
The girl huffed but stayed silent.
Bucky decided to try a different tactic. "What year is it?"
The girl regarded him strangely. "2024."
"How many sides does an octagon have?"
"Eight."
"What's Sam's last name?"
"Wilson."
"Who was Iron Man?"
"Tony Stark."
"What colour is the sky?"
"Blue."
"Who locked your credit card?"
"Quentin Beck."
Bucky laughed. The girl stared at him, horrified. She gaped at him like a fish, only managing to make senseless sounds. "Y-you—w-what!"
Bucky laughed harder. "I told you that day. You seem smart, but not that smart."
"How dare you!"
"Last question. Does your boyfriend know you're here?" If looks could kill, Bucky would be dead. He raised his arms in surrender. "I won't judge. And I won't tell Sam. I'm just trying to understand the situation so I can help."
Her glare slowly softened to fatigue. "No. He doesn't know."
Bucky bobbed his head. "I figured as much." He grabbed his unlocked phone and tossed it to her, assuming she would catch it. She didn't. The device smacked her in the chest before falling on her lap, which she stared at dumbly.
"Call him," said Bucky, standing up to stretch. "Let him know you're safe. Tell him no one kidnapped you, and he can unlock your card."
She opened her mouth to reply, but Bucky beat her to it. "I can't get you a plane ticket out of here, so this is the next best thing. You want to leave? Tell Sam about Quentin Beck, and he'll let you. He isn't that big of an asshole to keep you hostage here. There's hope for him yet." Bucky stepped out of the living room but turned around and stopped to add one more thing. "Sam's been different since you arrived. He's happier. You're all he talks about to anyone. Do him one last favour; stay the weekend, and don't choose that Quentin Beck guy over him." With that, Bucky strode to the bathroom to freshen up, missing the first teardrop.
Tumblr media
His phone was returned to him an hour or so later, accompanied by an uncomfortable smile and words of gratitude. "I told him I'm safe, and no one kidnapped me."
"Is he mad?" Bucky asked.
"He's a little upset," she confessed. "Promise you won't tell Sam?"
"Only if you promise not to run away." They stared at each other for a long moment, daring the other to disagree.
"Fine," the girl finally conceded. Bucky gave her a stiff nod and turned to leave. "Wait!" she exclaimed urgently. "He's still upset. Just ignore any other messages from him, okay? He should cool down after a while."
Bucky looked into her eyes. She was beautiful and unsuspecting looking. Fiery and transparent. He scrutinized her for deceit and instead found veiled resignation. He agreed and went to the backyard, leaving her in the kitchen.
It was an especially hot day, and there was much to do. Sarah wanted to landscape the back garden, and Bucky had volunteered. He didn't know the first thing about construction, but the boys had recently introduced him to YouTube, a magical place with the answers to all his questions. Bucky began to work, moving piles of dirt, levelling the uneven ground, and placing heavy slabs of concrete to form a pathway from the back porch to the lake.
Hours later, Bucky finished with the last slab of concrete, moving further away to admire his work. There was more to finish, but Sarah would be happy with his progress. Bucky wiped his brow, groaning at the sticky feeling of sweat dripping down his neck.
He grabbed his phone from the table on the porch to check the time, surprised at the number of notifications waiting for him. Bucky was by no means popular. The only person who contacted him somewhat regularly was Sam, but these notifications were all from the same unknown number. Bucky realized with a start that the barrage of missed calls and messages he was being attacked with were probably all from Quentin Beck.
Curiosity grabbed hold of him. He did promise the girl he would ignore any messages from him, but really, this was excessive. What if something was wrong and Beck urgently needed to contact her? He tapped on the message icon without another thought.
Bucky froze when he read the latest message.
You're dead when I find you.
He immediately scrolled to the top, reading the conversation from the beginning to try and gain some context to the threat. The thread started with a long paragraph from the girl detailing her situation, followed immediately with an exhausted apology.
I'm so sorry, please don't be mad. I'll be back as soon as I can.
Where the HELL are you?
Sam was asking questions. I tried to leave, but he got suspicious. I'll be back in a couple of days. I'm sorry.
You shouldn't have fucking seen him in the first place. I warned you.
Sam's career is in my hands. It'll only take one call to ruin him. I fucking warned you to never go near him.
He's trouble. He doesn't care about you like I do. He doesn't love you like I do.
The messages got progressively worse, teetering on the edge of insanity. Promising pain and broken bones, blaming it all on her.
Why do you make me do this?
Typical narcissist behaviour.
You're dead when I find you.
Baby Girl hadn't seen any of the messages after her rushed apology, but Bucky had a feeling she wouldn't be surprised by them either way. He clutched his phone tight, taking deep breaths to calm himself down.
What a bastard. What a self-entitled, psychotic prick. Everything came into clear focus, painting a detailed painting for Bucky to observe. Her behaviour started making sense. The bags under her eyes, the lack of light in her irises, the unworn ring... the secrets.
He decided then that he wouldn't tell her about the messages if she asked. Bucky would wait for the right time tonight to bring up the topic of Quentin Beck as innocently as he could, and offer her his help. She didn't need to know the extent of Beck's threats against her life.
Plan laid out, Bucky made his way inside for a well-deserved glass of cold water when the back door swung open. Baby Girl walked out with two lemonades and a plate of sandwiches balanced between the crook of her elbow. Some lemonade spilled over her hand when she abruptly stopped ahead of him. Bucky took the drinks from her and placed them on the small table.
Baby Girl put the plate of sandwiches next to the drinks and proceeded to lick the spilled lemonade from her hands. Bucky swallowed thickly, feeling flustered at such an innocent act. "You good?"
"Yeah," she replied. "I made us lunch and lemonade. Figured you could do with something cool."
"Yeah," Bucky was suddenly parched. "It's a hot day."
Baby Girl sat down at the table and took a large sip of her drink. "Sarah and Sam went to run some errands in the city. Said they'll be back late."
"What about the boys?" Bucky inquired, sitting down and taking a sip of his own. He groaned as the cool drink washed over him.
"They're having a sleepover at the neighbours." She handed him a sandwich, which he took with a smile.
"So it's just us today," he said, aware that the perfect opportunity for a less-than-pleasant conversation had just presented itself.
"Yup, just us."
An awkward silence fell over them, broken occasionally by the sound of chewing.
"The yard looks nice," Baby Girl blurted.
Bucky turned his neck to observe his handiwork. "Thanks. Still a lot to be done."
"You must be tired."
Bucky shrugged. "Not really. The heat is worse than anything else."
"Is that because of the serum?" she asked, immediately flushing with embarrassment. "Sorry! That's so insensitive of me. And it's none of my business."
"You're good," said Bucky. "I don't mind. Yeah, it's because of the serum. My stamina's through the roof."
"Wow," she admired.
"Could've been real handy with the ladies, back in the forties." Bucky flushed at the silence that followed. "During the war, I mean!" he corrected. "I could've used the stamina during the war."
The girl finished her lemonade in one long sip. "Right, of course."
"For battle. On the battlefield." Bucky finished his own drink, then stuffed another sandwich in his face to keep from further embarrassing himself.
Bucky's phone lit up with a notification, and the girl flicked her eyes toward the screen. "It's my neighbour," he told her. "He's looking after my cat."
Baby Girl visibly deflated. "That's nice," she smiled. "What's its name?"
"Alpine." Bucky decided this was as good a time as any to ask a few questions. "Listen, did you tell Quentin Beck where you are?" Bucky hated the scared look on her face.
"He knows I'm at Sam's," she started slowly.
Bucky took a deep breath and willed his expression to remain neutral. "Does he have an address?"
She shook her head in denial, and only then did Bucky find himself relaxing. He wouldn't need to worry about Beck showing up announced, which gave him more time to come up with a proper plan.
"I'm gonna take a dip," Bucky gestured to the lake. "Wanna join?"
"Maybe later."
Bucky stood up with a shrug. "Suit yourself." And he took his shirt off with one pull.
He felt Baby Girl's stare burning through his skin as he jogged toward the small lake, discarding his pants along the way. He entered the water in a running dive, letting gravity pull him to the bottom before kicking away and breaking the surface with a loud whoop. His body temperature slowly stabilized as he ran laps along the perimeter. He could still feel her stare as he stopped to tread.
"The water's amazing!" he yelled. "Join me!"
She threw her arms in the air. "I don't have a bathing suit."
Bucky floated on his back, arms crossed behind his head. "Who cares?"
After a moment's hesitation, Baby Girl laughed. "You're right. Who cares?" She grabbed the hem of her top and lifted it over her head, revealing a white camisole underneath. She stopped near the edge of the lake, fixing Bucky with a faux glare. "Well, turn around. You're crazy if you think I'm undressing in front of you."
Bucky smirked at her teasing nature and turned away, listening for a splash. After a moment, the water rippled, followed by a shrill scream. "Can I look?"
"Go ahead." Baby Girl laughed when Bucky whipped his head, sending a stream of water flying her way from his hair. "Damn, the water's cold."
"Feels good, though."
"Yeah."
They settled into a comfortable silence, floating on their backs and sneaking glances at each other. Her white camisole had turned see-through, giving Bucky a delicious glimpse of her skin and pale blue bra. He averted his gaze, trying to calm his racing heart.
"I'll miss this when I'm gone," said Baby Girl softly. "The peace and quiet."
"You don't have to leave," Bucky urged. "You could stay."
She turned to face him. "I can't," she replied sadly.
"You're scared for Sam," he observed, remembering the texts. "Why? He's the fucking Falcon. He helped defeat Thanos. Beck is nothing compared to that."
The girl's eyes widened in alarm. "How do you know that?"
Bucky didn't tell her he read the messages. He would've come to the same conclusion sooner or later. He ran his hand through his wet hair. "I used to be a spy." He fixed her with a pointed look. "And you're a horrible liar. Seriously, you are worse than my cat."
She huffed but didn't argue. After a moment of silent contemplation, she settled on her back and regarded him doubtfully. "Quentin has connections with the CIA, FBI, NSA, and Homeland Security. Any government official out there, he's probably on a first-name basis with them." Her face contorted in pain. "He could ruin Sam's life with a single phone call. I swore I would never give him a reason to."
Bucky's jaw clenched tightly. "What's the worst that bastard could do? Sam knows people too."
"Not enough. He could pin a drug charge. It wouldn't even have to stick. The bad press would be enough to ruin Sam's reputation."
"That's illegal," Bucky pointed out dangerously. Quentin Beck was turning out to be worse than Bucky imagined.
"He doesn't care about that when it comes to me," she dismissed. "Quentin can do no wrong when it comes to love."
"That's not love!" Bucky snapped, losing the last of his patience. They were floating dangerously close to one another, elbows brushing.
"Regardless. There's nothing to be done."
"You could stay," Bucky implored. "I'd keep you safe."
They were even closer now, both on their backs, faces turned toward the other, lips dangerously close. For a moment it looked like she might say yes. She opened her mouth to reply, but the sound of a car door slamming shut interrupted her.
"That must be Sam," she said, and the moment was broken.
Bucky moved first, swimming to the deck to grab his discarded pants. "I'll give you some privacy," he said, dragging the fabric up his legs. He left without another word.
Incessant knocking at the front door stopped Bucky in his tracks. Sam always carried a key. Bucky dropped his shirt and went around the house to the front. The car parked in the drive was unfamiliar and out of place. Sleek and shiny and black. Expensive. The man waiting impatiently at the door looked more out of place than the car. Dressed in a gray suit, brown loafers, and black shades, the man looked like he belonged on the cover of a real estate advertisement.
"Can I help you?" Bucky snapped, feeling on edge.
The man lifted his shades to regard Bucky with a look of contempt, eyeing his exposed chest and metal arm with barely concealed disgust. "Yeah, maybe you can. Is this the Wilson residence?"
"Depends on who's asking."
"A friend," the man replied.
"Funny. I didn't know Sam had any friends."
"That's because I'm not Sam's friend," he scorned. "I'm looking for a girl."
Bucky inched closer to him. "I know lots of girls," he quipped.
The man smiled dangerously. "I'm looking for a very specific one. Yay high, unchecked temper, tendency for trouble."
Bucky laughed without humour. "Doesn't narrow much down, buddy. I'm gonna have to ask you to leave."
"You must be the Winter Soldier," the man mused.
"I go by James Barnes," Bucky snapped. "You must be Quentin Beck." Bucky had recognized him right away.
Quentin Beck spread his arms in a wide gesture. "The one and only. I suppose she told you about me."
"She didn't have to. I can smell a bastard from a mile away."
Beck clenched his fists, face contorting nastily, and stepped forward. "You little—"
Despite the sweltering heat, Bucky felt a coldness wash over him. His advanced senses picked up on footsteps coming from around the back. His head whipped to the side just as the girl rounded the corner. She wore jeans and nothing else, her white camisole still wet and slightly see-through. Bucky watched with dread as she took in the sight in front of her, blinking confusedly. The colour slowly drained from her flushed cheeks, and she froze as her brain caught up with her eyes.
"Sweetheart?" Beck's demeanour rapidly changed, and he stalked forward with his hands raised non-threateningly. "I've been looking everywhere for you."
Bucky blocked his path with a glare.
When Beck noticed her state of undress, he became angry, clenching his fists at his side. He noted Bucky's bare chest, his low-hanging jeans, and the girl's see-through top. "What the fuck is going on here?" Beck demanded.
When he fixed his icy glare on her, she reanimated, staggering back with a loud gasp, Baby Girl tripped over a rock but continued scooting backwards as she fell over. The raw fear emanating from her was enough to undo Bucky. Bucky shoved Beck as hard as he could—without using his super strength—and slammed him against his car.
"Motherfucker," Beck hissed, clutching his side.
"I suggest you leave before you really piss me off," Bucky threatened, stalking closer.
Beck staggered away, putting his car between them. "Not without my fiancé," he seethed.
"Fiancé, huh?" Bucky turned toward the girl. She was still on the ground, carefully watching the scene with wide eyes. He waited until she looked at him, then gave her a soft smile, silently urging her to trust him. "Are you his fiancé, Baby Girl?"
She jerked her head in denial. "No."
"There you have it. You heard the lady." Bucky's voice lowered dangerously. "Now leave. Before I make you leave."
"She's lying!" Beck screamed. And Bucky got the impression he was used to getting his way. "I gave her a ring."
Bucky had cornered Beck against the hood of his car and was looming dangerously over his crouched figure. "I don't see any ring. Now leave!"
Beck unlocked the car, jerking open the driver's side and inelegantly lumbering in. "This isn't over yet, Winter Soldier," he spat, and with one last seething glare toward the girl, he sped off.

Talking Body

Summary: Bucky hates going to therapy so you help him feel better when he gets home. Warnings: A little bit of fluff, Smut, squirting, fingering, oral (m recieiving) penetrative sex
You were sitting on the couch reading a book when you heard the door creak open. “Hey baby,” you called out to your boyfriend. He walked over to you and kissed you on the forehead gently.
“Hi.” He smiled but the expression didn’t reach his eyes. He had just gotten home from his court-mandated therapy, an hour out of his day that was always extremely taxing. Bucky sat down next to you and rested his hand on your knee. He still seemed lost in his own head, the way he often did when he got back. “What’cha reading?” He was trying to distract himself.
“Harry Potter. Figured the fall was a good time to re-read.”
“Oh. Haven’t read it,” Bucky sighed. He always came home from therapy sad. It made him think about not only the horrible things he had done, but all of the time that he lost. Your heart ached for him. You couldn’t imagine how he felt, waking up in a completely different world than the one he had known in his youth.
You put the book on the coffee table and laid your head down in his lap. As if on auto-pilot, his hand started to stroke your hair gently. He always liked to be close to you when he felt like this. “You okay, bub?” You knew the answer was no, but you also knew Bucky wouldn’t open up on his own. Hell, he barely opened up to his own therapist.
“I will be, now that I’m here with you.”
You sat in silence for a few minutes as he continued to play with your hair. You knew there was so much going on in his head and as badly as you wanted to pry with questions and make sure he could talk it out, you knew he didn’t want that. He would tell you when he was ready. He always did.
“You’re so gorgeous, my love,” Bucky spoke softly, breaking the silence. “My beautiful angel. How the hell did I get so lucky?”
You smiled at him and changed your position so that you were straddling him. You had no intention of anything sexual, just wanting to be closer to him. But as you adjusted yourself on his lap, you felt his hardening length underneath you, unleashing desire within your veins.
Bucky looked up at you with his mesmerizing blue eyes full of pure, unfiltered love. He loved you more than he ever thought possible. He smiled at you as you kept your eyes locked in one anothers.
“Hi,” you said, making him laugh.
“Hi, honey.”
You ran your fingers through his hair and began to move your hips. He gazed up at you, soft lips parted and eyes glassy. “Y/N…”
“What is it, baby?” You smirked.
His eyes still didn’t break away from yours. “Y/N, I love you so fucking much. Let me show you how much I love you, please baby.”
You bent your head down to connect your lips, tongues tangling together as you continued to grind on him. His hands traveled down to grab your ass, squeezing gently before spanking you. His flesh hand traveled between your legs and you silently thanked yourself for the flimsy pajama shorts that you had put on when getting home from work. He pushed the material aside and lightly ran his fingers over your slit. “No underwear, baby? God, you’re so good to me.”
“W-wait, Bucky,” he immediately stopped his movements, not wanting to do anything that you weren’t okay with. “Wanna make sure you want this, okay? I-I know therapy is really hard on you and I just want you to-” you couldn’t continue the sentence because the breath was plunged out of you when Bucky inserted two of his thick fingers inside your pussy.
“Oh angel, I want this. I promise, I do.” He kissed your forehead gently as his hand began to curl inside of you, putting pressure on your g-spot with every motion.
“Oh, god,” you whispered. Your head fell into the crook of his neck and you started to grind down on his hand. The position had his palm scraping over your clit too, sending you into a frenzy.
“That’s it, sweet girl. Ride my hand.” He added a third finger, stretching you open even more. “Feel good, honey?” He teased when you let out a loud moan. You nodded, trying to answer him though your brain was drunk with pleasure. “I love you so much Y/N. So fucking much.” His soft and loving tone completely contradicted the sinful things he was doing in between your legs.
“W-wanna touch you, Buck,” you whined, seeing the outline of his thick erection through his jeans. Your mouth watered at the thought of having him in your mouth.
“Shh baby girl. Cum on my fingers first. Want to make my best girl feel good.” He picked up the speed of his fingers and brought his mouth to your neck. Your moans grew higher and higher in pitch until you screamed, cumming all over Bucky’s hand. “Bet that felt good, princess. So fucking beautiful when you cum,” he said, removing his hand from you and sucking on his fingers. “Tastes so good.”
You pawed at his belt, trying to get it off as fast as possible. He lifted his hips as you pulled down his jeans and underwear, nearly drooling when you saw his cock spring free. You sank to your knees in front of the couch, taking the bulbous head of his dick into your mouth. Bucky’s head fell back as he let out a breathy moan. “Fuck, sweetheart.”
You slowly took him deeper and deeper, bobbing your head up and down on his cock. Bucky’s eyes fluttered closed as his breaths grew quicker and quicker. You loved making him like this. You loved that you were the only one who could make him like this. This powerful man, an assassin feared by people for decades. And here he was, completely at your mercy. You hollowed out your cheeks, suctioning him into your mouth harder and harder. Bucky started moving his hips up and down, fucking your mouth harshly.
“Oh fuck! Stop-stop, don’t wanna cum yet.” You removed him from your mouth and he pulled you back up onto the couch. Frantically, you both removed your shirts leaving yourselves fully exposed to each other. “Love these tits, baby. So fucking pretty,” he cood, flicking your nipples with his hands. “You ready for me, princess?” He asked.
“Yes, so ready.” You moved your hand down and lined him up before sinking down onto his cock. “Fuck!” You cried, once he was fully inside of you. Even after so long, the feeling of his cock stretching you out always amazed you. He fit so perfectly inside of you, stretching your walls amazingly. It was like he was made for you. You moved yourself back and forth, feeling the tip of his dick hitting your g-spot everytime. “I love you so much, Bucky,” you moaned.
His eyes were locked on where you were joined together. He moved his metal hand and started rubbing your clit harshly, moaning at the squelching sounds that your wetness was making. “B-bucky!” you screamed out. “S-shit, I’m gonna come! Oh fuck!”
“Yeah baby, that’s it. Come on, honey,” he encouraged.
A powerful feeling overtook your entire body as you came, soaking the couch and Bucky’s stomach. “Holy shit, baby, you just squirted. Fuck that was so sexy, I can’t wait anymore.” He started thrusting up into you harshly, not even letting your orgasm fully go away before he was bringing you towards another one. “Wanna try something, baby, okay? If it’s too much just tell me.” You trusted him with every fiber of your being. His cold metal hand moved from your clit to your opening and he pressed a finger into you beside his cock.
“Fuck!” You screamed at the overwhelming sensation of being stretched once again. Words abandoned you and all you could do was moan and scream.
He continued to fuck you hard, the finger beside him inside of you causing you to feel every ridge of his cock even more. “Fucking you so good you can’t speak, huh? Going dumb on me, bunny?”
Just when you thought your body couldn't possibly feel any better than it already did, he craned his neck up to start sucking on your tit. His tongue flicked over the bud relentlessly. “BUCKY!” You moaned, louder than he could ever remember hearing you before. You squirted again all over him, spraying his body with your cum.
He fucked up into you faster and faster. “Shit, Princess,” he moaned as he let himself go, hot cum spraying into your body. Before he was finished, he pulled his cock out of you and pushed you down onto your back, painting your stomach with his cum. “So much cum for you. Wan’ you to see how much cum I have for you, honey.” When he was finished, his tongue trailed down your stomach and onto your pussy. He dipped it into your hole, tasting the two of you mixed together. He left gentle kisses as came back up to your lips, slipping his tongue into your mouth so that you could get a taste. He laid down next to you, pulling you into his arms.
“I truly do love you so much. More than anything in this entire world. You’re my light, Y/N.”
“I love you too, Bucky. I know it’s hard baby. But I’m so proud of you, okay? You’re gonna be okay. You’re so strong. So resilient. And I admire you every single day for that.”
He kissed your head softly. He still didn’t wanna talk a lot, but just laying there with you was enough.
After round 2 in the shower, the two of you spent the night cuddled together in bed watching movies. As long as you were by his side, Bucky didn’t doubt that he’d one day be okay.

Last First Kiss
Pairing: tfatws!Bucky x reader
Warnings: Excessive fluff, first kisses, soft Bucky in Louisiana for New Year's Eve.
Word Count: 600
A/N: Thank you for this sweet @navybrat817. This truly brightened my day and inspired a nye drabble! Hope everyone has a very Happy New Year! 💙✨
“So a little birdie told me you’ve never had a new year’s kiss…” Bucky leaned against the wood railing beside you, taking in the sunset on the bayou.
Your eyes widened before you took a deep breath. “I’m gonna kill him.” Ever the meddler, Sam would tell your secret to the first guy you’d liked in a long time.
“Yeah, I’ve been there,” he let out a laugh. “Sam always knows the exact right thing to do to get under your skin, it’s a gift really.”
You shrugged casually. “He overheard me telling Sarah. It’s no big deal.” It really wasn’t, but you knew why Sam was annoyingly butting in. He’d also heard you telling his sister about how smitten you were with his dark-haired best friend.
“Well let me know if you want to change that.”
Heat rushed to your cheeks, a small smile playing at your lips. There was no way. “The killing him part or the kiss?”
Bucky smirked, charmed and hopeful that you’d agree. “I haven’t had one in a while, so keep me posted,” he checked his watch. Only a few more hours until midnight. The Wilson household had planned a lowkey evening for the kids later, and the both of you would be in attendance.
He’d secretly had a crush on you for a little longer than you had on him and with Sam’s encouragement he figured there was no better time to do something about it.
“Haven’t committed a murder or given a kiss in a while?” You smiled sheepishly, trying awfully hard to deflect. Of all the reactions to finding out you’d never had a new year’s kiss, this was the last one you expected. Sam’s best friend, a guy you thought was off-limits, offering to change things for you.
He let out a laugh, you were too adorable. “Think about it, sweetheart. I hear it’s good luck,” he playfully shot you a wink before heading back to the barbeque.
Exhaling a breath you didn’t know you were holding, you turned back to look at the setting sun over the calm waters. Colorful, peaceful, and captivating.
Later that night.
Sam nudged Sarah before shouting. “Guys it's 12:04, you’ve rung in the new year! You can break it up now.”
Grinning against Bucky’s lips, you felt your cheeks warm again. Busted.
Bucky begrudgingly pulled away from you, turning to glare at Sam. “Just getting as much luck from this as we can, man. Feel free to look away,” he muttered breathlessly before meeting your gaze with a soft shy smile. His thumb stroked your jawline, noting how beautiful you were up close.
He went from menacing to cute in a split second. How did he do that? It didn’t really matter because the way he looked at you, well you sure could get used to it.
“Yeah, look somewhere else,” you teasingly scowled at Sam before tugging at Bucky's henley and kissing him again. He cupped your face and poured himself into the kiss. He thought he was out of practice, but it surprised him how easily he fell back into step with you. Soft and sweeter than anything you could’ve imagined. Warm and careful with just the right amount of desire to leave you aching. Nothing you could have expected, yet everything you silently wished for.
Neither of you knew it then, but what a lucky year it would turn out to be. Never did you imagine that the man that would be your first new year’s kiss would also be your last; for many years in between, and every day after.

~ Ties that bind ~
Bucky x reader- arranged marriage.
Warnings - non, I don't think..
(This is a little bit of part 1, so I made write more I may not, we'll see. I'm also going to give the reader and her parents a positive relationship. idk I think it suits the best
Tumblr media
You always knew you were to be married off. Your mother was always transparent with you about that. She always told you that you may not like the man or woman, but love was always hard to find anyway. So one day, when you were 16, you typed up an agreement and gave it to your father about if you were married off, what you wanted, you do have your mother's stubbornness after all.
*knock knock*
"Come in," hearing your father grumble, you push the dark wooden doors which you are a lot heavier than your dad and his men made it seem. You stand in the doorway for a second before your dad gets up from behind his desk. He slowly walked round, motioning for you to come in and close the door. He pulled a comfy seat out a bit before sitting on his desk. You sat out looking up at him, handing him the typed papers in your hands. He looked at the title and gave it back to you.
"Read it to me, Ladybug." You smiled at the nickname he used and has used since you were a baby. "I see your mother as prepared you for this, and I see you listened for once," he joked, knowing you never liked working or school for that matter.
"I don't want to be a housewife, can't think of anything worse," you scoffed at your remark while your dad just laughed, still smiling down at you. "But I would prefer if you read it then get back to me as I told mother I'd help her cook.. it's burrito night!" He slowly nodded at you. Reading aloud wasn't something you liked doing. Taking the papers stapled together, you got up and started walking towards the doors, dreading the embarrassment of trying to open them again, but you didn't have to. Your dad was right behind you, holding it for you like you didn't just use all the strength to pry it just a little.
That's how you life's always been, your mother, a housewife. Your mother was the most beautiful and mature woman to probably ever exist, her long vibrant curly ginger hair, her pale soft skin loaded with freckle, her forest green eyes complemented everything about her even those rosy cheeks and lips. She adored your father as much or even more as he adored her. They do say opposites attract, fitting for your parents as your father, the breadwinner. Your father was a handsome and smart man, with dark chocolate hair which your mother loved putting into pigtails, his skin is covered with tattoos front to back, up and down, his toned and tan skin barely visible, his one good eye a smokie light grey colour, is other eye was sew shut while being littered with scars. Your dad has become more careful and gentle when your mother is pregnant. It wasn't hard to see that his men liked this change to, according to your mother. An example is when the twins joined, Wanda and Pietro maximoff joined, and they were put through uni with help from the family in case they wanted an out, making sure they had a choice. They stayed by the family's side.
Tumblr media
Now, 6 years later, you're sitting in your fathers office it hasn't changed a bit, you can't say the same about them, he was sitting on the worn-out leather chair with your mother behind him, their hair turning grey and with smile line proudly on display. You sitting at the side of the desk, not next to your dad and not next to Mrs and Mr Barnes, with their irritated son, James Barnes. The meeting was already off to a bad start when his girlfriend Sharon demanding to attend, but met with your dad saying he didn't have business with her and if that's know they did things, he'll call it off. You listened in on the conversation when your dad wasn't there, and to sum it up, Mr Barnes threatened, saying he'll disown his son and give it all to Rebecca. She's now at the bottom of the stairs being watched secretly by maids, workers, and guards. The elderly guest were very shocked at the fact they didn't even know you were there when they were giving the to toddler a reality check, which made both your parents proud and all 4 laugh about it. Before the definition of cantankerous, egocentric, and many more adjectives, you couldn't ever walk in.
. . . . .To be continued. . . .

I read this amazing oneshot, and I couldn't stop thinking about this idea. So I added my own twist to it. Thanks to the wonderful writer for sharing it and for inspiring me.
Likes, comments, reblogs are VERY VERY highly appreciated. Opinions really matter to me
TW: Bullets and blood. Mentions of torture but nothing explicit

You knew you shouldn't have done it. You should have stayed home. What could barely be described a home. You should have minded your business. You should have acted like the civilian you are now. You shouldn't have done it. But your loyalty to Steve wouldn't have let you
The image of the cheap copy so-called Captain America holding the shield blasting all over the news was a hit. A gut-wrenching hit. There was a guy who was taking the place of your childhood best friend, the man you called brother, the fearless leader. And he looked happy doing so. Then the blond had the audacity to say that Steve felt like a brother to him. You felt physical pain that you almost threw up.
Rationality went out the window. Before you knew any better, you were tracking down the man who was handed your friend's legacy. The man who gave it away when there was nobody more deserving than him. It wasn't hard to know exactly where Sam Wilson was. You were aware he joined the Air Force once again. So you hijacked the location of his next mission, demanding answers.
But it appeared that you weren't the only one who had the same plan. As you were talking to Sam, trying to be as nice as you could, giving him the benefit of the doubt, telling him you weren't here to judge or pick a fight. You just wanted an explanation. You heard him.
"Shouldn't have given up the shield."
His voice was filled with anger. But you could hear the sadness hidden in his tone. Sam scuffed, walking away from you as well. You turned around and you saw him. The love of your life. Quite literally.
You fail to recall a time you weren't in love with James Buchanan Barnes. Growing up together, your trio was inseparable. You would never see one without the others. From the age of three till your twenties, the three of you were more than family.
Despite loving Steve like the brother you never had, the same couldn't be said about his best friend. Your feelings for the brunette were never platonic. Neither were his. In the second grade, he promised to marry you once he got older. And he did. He kneeled to the ground with a beautiful golden ring for you once he secured a job. It was the easiest yes in your life.
Loving him came to you naturally. Stolen glances. Sweet words. Fast heartbeats. Shy smiles. Gentle touches. You were each other first everything. It was like you were made for each other. Like you were born to love him.
And he was your perfect man. Every woman envied you. Every woman hoped to have someone look at her like he looked at you. Every woman wished for a man who treated her the way he treated you. Every woman prayed for a man to love her that much.
Bucky Barnes was head over heels in love with you. And he made sure he showed it.
You were the luckiest girl.
Up until your luck ran out. War knocked on your door like a hurricane, destroying your life.
You remember the night before Bucky was shipped. When you went home after what couldn't be called a double date at Stark expo. The promises the both of you made. Your dream wedding. Your house. Your family. Your kids. All of it. Your future. And you believed him. You couldn't fathom any alternatives.
So when Steve walked in your tent where you did your job as a journalist, who was asked to cover The Howling Commandos missions and subject their heroism to the public, you knew. The look of utter defeat in his face, his glassy eyes, his red nose, the way he was trying to shrink away in his new huge body, you knew.
Your heart was ripped and broken to pieces. The pain was suffocating. You were drowning. You felt like the world ended. Life stopped.
You don't remember how things went after that. You don't remember if Steve ever said the words to you, but you remember his promise of revenge as he held your sobbing body against his chest.
And he did. He ended Hydra. But it came with a price. Very high. After Steve's sacrifice, life became meaningless. You weren't living. You were barely breathing. You were alone.
So when the government asked you to write the final article about the war, the winning announcement, you were about to turn it down. You found difficulties in everything. Leaving your bed sounded like a tiring task. Eating felt like a punishment. Functioning like a human became a burden.
But you remembered how supportive Bucky was of your career. When every man let women their abandon their dreams, Bucky helped you fight for yours. And he gave his life for this victory. Your fiancée and bestfriend. You owed it to them. To be the one to report the triumph tinted with their effort and blood.
So you put in all your strength and travelled with the small team to write the most important piece of work in your life.
However, only a number of people of the team and the article made it back. You didn't.
On your way back, you were ambushed by unknown soldiers. They took you to unknown quarters. You were so confused until you saw that cursed symbol. They weren't gone. Neither was your fiancée.
And that began a lifetime of torture and pain. They brainwashed Bucky but left you with your memories. So when they threatened to hurt him, you caved and let them do whatever they wanted to you. It was a trap they built for you, and you fell in it every time. They would hurt both of you at the end.
You endured it all. You survived it all. Except the moment they made Bucky look you in the eyes and fight you. They erased you from his mind. You saw the love of your life, and he saw nothing. He looked at you and saw either an enemy or a mission partner. And that was the most painful torture Hydra put you through.
As if this wasn't enough. You had to face a hindrance you never thought of.
After Steve rescued the both of you, after him running away from you, after spending two years making amendments with the government and helping Steve search for him, after the accords and Zemo's predicament, after he remembered you, after Princess Shuri was able to give him back his freedom, after you hugged him as he cried, after you decided to finally have that wedding, Thanos happened.
You believe you did something so terrible in another life, and you were getting punished for it in this life. There was no logical explanation as to why this kept happening to you. Why were you robbed of any chances of happiness. Why did you have to watch your man disappear right after having him back. Why you could only feel ache and misery. Why was the world so cruel.
So you kept your hopes to minimum when Steve came to your shared apartment one night, telling you that they had a plan. You agreed to join them in the time heist, ready to be disappointed.
But the second you saw Bucky standing on the sides with his machine gun, you wanted to cry. You thought it was an illusion, but these blue eyes said something else. Now, you were fighting with a strong drive and purpose.
You thought that was it. Your happy ending. You finally had him. But Steve leaving tore you apart. You were happy for your bestfriend who finally did something for himself. However, you couldn't help but feel sad. At least you and Bucky had each other.
Bucky had another thing in mind. Because, a couple of weeks after Steve leaving, Bucky broke up with. He said he needed to figure himself out and work on his pardon. You understood. But it didn't make it any easier.
So you left, giving him all the space he needed. You hadn't seen or spoken to each other since. At least he is alive. That's what you kept telling yourself to find any sort of comfort or condolence.
So this was the first time you had met. He looked different. He cut his hair. He had a scruff. He was wearing an all black outfit. He had gloves on. He had little bags under his eyes. He looked good overall. That's what mattered to you.
"Good to see you too, Buck." Sam said as he walked with intentions to move away from Bucky.
"This is wrong." Bucky didn't give him the chance as be walked beside Sam, without batting you an eye. You couldn't say that didn't hurt but you followed them anyway.
"Look, I'm working, alright. So all this outrage is going to have to wait." It was clear that Bucky wasn't here to have a civil conversation like you.
"You didn't know this was going to happen?" Bucky accused Sam.
"No, of course I didn't know that was going to happen." Sam was quick to deny Bucky's accusations.
"You think it didn't break my heart to see them march him out and call him the new Captain America." This was more directed towards you, following up to your conversation before Bucky cut in.
"This isn't what Steve wanted." Bucky wasn't going to back down.
"Oh my god. So what do you want me to do? Call America and tell them I changed my mind. " Sam's sarcastic reply did nothing but annoy Bucky's more.
"Like I told your wife. There is nothing we can do. You just couldn't wait for her to get home." You looked at Sam. It didn't appear to you that he wouldn't know.
"We broke up."
Another wave of pain hit you as you turned to look at Bucky, who was still not looking at you. How easy could he just say it with no emotions at all. You were fighting to get by every day, and he looked like he didn't care.
"What?!" Sam stopped suddenly once he heard Bucky's words, turning to the both of you.
"You,two lovebirds who literally broke laws to be together, broke up?" Sam couldn't believe his ears. He thought you would have gotten married by now. Your love for each other more epic than all the novels he read.
"Were you asked to give it up?" You changed the topic quickly, refusing to answer Sam's question or talk about your tragic love story. It hurt bad enough, and you didn't want to show it.
"Of course not." Sam heard you loud and clear. He also knew your question had pure intentions. You weren't here to offend him.
"Right, great reunion, guys. Be well." Sam turned to walk out, ending this conversation.
"You had no right to give up the shield, Sam." Bucky was angry, and he was showing it. In the wrong way.
"This is what you aren't going to do. You aren't going to come here in your over extended life and tell me about my rights." Three of you came to a stop.
"It's over." Sam added, looking at you as you came to stand next to Bucky.
"Besides, I have bigger things to deal with."
And you hadn't rest since.
It was, indeed, big thing to deal with.
You had no idea what you were getting yourself into when you impulsively followed Sam and Bucky into the plane.
It was a constant mess. The flag smashers. New super soldiers. Karli Morgenthau. Isaiah Bradley. Zemo. Madripoor. Power Broker. And the worst of them all. John Walker and Lemar Hoskins. It never ended.
All that chaos was a good distraction. You didn't have time to think about your broken heart nor to think about the current nature of your and Bucky's relationship.
It was complicated and confusing.
You fought very well together. Your combined sets of skills were lethal. Your collective training and ability to work together kicked in when needed. Away from that, the both of you barely talked. You acknowledged each other existence. That's how you would describe it.
However, you couldn't explain why Bucky refused when Raynor asked you and Sam to join them in the session in the police station. Or why he always made sure you stayed at least an arm distance away from Zemo. Or why did he choose to be the Winter Soldier for the night instead of you compromising your identity that you kept a secret all these years. Or why, that day at Madripoor, he almost took multiple bullets for you. Or why whenever John showed up, his hand would always find yours.
You were thankful you didn't have the time to think about all of this because you were sure you would have lost your mind. You barely had your emotions in checks. And there was a lot going on.
Then it all went crushing. You would never forget this day.
You followed Sam and Bucky, running out of the building into the street, only to see the calamity that just occurred.
John Walker stood proud with the blood-tinted shield above the man he just slaughtered.
Instinctively, your hand came up to wrap around Bucky's bicep, looking for any comfort for the both of you. This scene would forever be engraved in your memories.
Three of you gave John some time. You stood outside of the warehouse he was in right now. You knew if you all went angry, the results would be catastrophic.
But it was anyway.
You let Sam do most of the talking. He was the best in this. If anyone could convince John to hand over the shield, it would be him. So you stood and watched. But it appeared that the time you gave John Walker to cool down only drove him more over the edge. So, with the three of telling him to give up the shield, John Walker lost his mind.
It should have been an easy fight. A veteran and an avenger and two super soldiers. It shouldn't be hard. But neither one of the three of you was fighting was the intention to hurt John. Unlike him, John was fighting to kill. With his new powers, he was uncontrollable.
You let out a high-pitched scream once you saw John throw Bucky away, electrocuting his arm, making him lose consciousness. Then you watched as he straddled Sam on the ground. You needed to act quickly.
You groaned as you got up from the floor, looking at the cut in your arm. Nothing too bad. You told yourself as you ran toward John tickling him away from Sam.
It was just you and him, now.
And it was brutal.
You were still trying not to hurt him too much. However, he was unstoppable. So when he figured that he would lose combat with you eventually, he retrieved to other options.
Picking the shield and throwing it at you for it cause a cut in your chest was enough distraction for him to take out the gun he kept in his suit and shot you.
The bullets found their places in your stomach and legs. He aimed for places that you wouldn't recover from. You fell to the ground, coughing blood, feeling the bullets rest so deep in your body.
John walked towards you with the shield. He looked at you. His eyes were showing insanity and rage. He lifted the shield up and hit you in the chest. The pain was like no other. And you knew that was it.
It felt ironic in so many ways. Your bestfriend's shield. The shield that presented all of Steve's values and beliefs. The shield that helped once save your life. Now, it was going to be the weapon to kill you.
Of all the ways you thought you would die in, this wasn't even close. But when was life ever fair to you? At least you would have peace now. Your dying wish was for Bucky to know how much you loved him and how you wanted him to be fine and happy. Because you loved Bucky more than life itself.
You tried to distract yourself from the excruciating pain by counting how many hits of the shield would it take to end you.
You counted two.
You started coughing violently as you felt a weight got lifted off your chest. All your body going numb for seconds.
You saw Bucky was up once again, and he managed to corner John with Sam, trying to break his arm to take away the shield.
You desperately tried to get up and help them, but your whole body was on fire. Why was the serum not working?
A breath escaped you once you heard the sound of bone breaking. Only to realize breathing hurt. Everything hurt so bad.
With cuts on your arms and face, bruises on your ribs, wounds in your chest, bullets in your stomach and legs, you gave up, closing your eyes.
Because of your agonizing pain. You didn't hear Bucky beating the life out of John after taking the shield. He didn't stop until John passed out.
Bucky turned around and saw a sight that came straight out of his worst nightmares. He had seen it too many times. Woke up scared and sweating because of it. A sight that he knew would haunt him more than it already did.
Your lifeless body in a pool of blood.
He took careful steps towards you, praying it would disappear, and this would just be a nightmare of his. But the sound of your faint heartbeats made it real.
"Doll." Bucky got on his knees next to you, holding your motionless body in his arm.
You hissed in pain as you felt a movement that caused all the pain in your body to stir awake again.
"Bucky." Your voice was a whisper. You were too tired to open your eyes, but the feeling of the metal around you was familiar.
"I'm right here, doll." Bucky may not let it show in his voice, but if you opened your eyes, you would see the fear and tears.
"I need you to stay awake, okay. Can you do this for me? Please, stay awake." Bucky never felt this desperate before.
"Help is on the way." The three of you had already arranged with Torres to have an ambulance on stand-by. You had a feeling things would go bad. But not that bad.
"I'm tired." The amount of blood you were losing was making you too dizzy.
"I know, doll. But you will be okay." Bucky didn't care about the blood getting all over him as he pulled you closer to him.
"You will get better. Because you have to." He was saying it more to himself than you.
"I prayed for this." Talking was getting too hard, but you had to tell.
"What did you pray for?" Bucky was doing anything to keep you awake. He needed to listen to your voice.
"To die in your arms."
Bucky felt the tears escape his eyes, falling down freely on his face.
"You aren't dying. You will be okay." You heard it. The shakiness of his voice.
Fighting the great pain you were in, you opened your eyes to look at him. You wanted to see him one last time. This is why you prayed to die in his arms. So his face would be the last thing to see. This voice would be the last thing you heard. His arms the last thing you felt. Your farewell to the cruel world would be with the man who had been your heaven on Earth.
You lifted your arm with a moan of pain before you placed it on his cheek. You needed to say it. You needed it to be your last words.
"I love you, Bucky. I loved you my whole life."
With that, the world went dark.
You didn't get to see the mess that Bucky became as he heard your heartbeats slow down. His screams and desperate calls of your name to wake up.
He was so blinded by pain that he didn't let the paramedics near, protecting your body until he realized who they were. They didn't try to fight him when he insisted on getting in the ambulance with you.
All the time you were in the surgery, Bucky was inconsolable. He didn't care that Sam and Torres saw him as he sobbed, sitting on the floor waiting for anybody to tell you were fine. All he cared about was that he didn't say it back. You could die not knowing how much he loved you. The thought brought new tears to his already puffy red eyes
He prayed to God and anyone that would hear. If you were standing close enough, you would hear him. "Please, don't take her from me." "Please, let her be okay." "Take me instead of her." "She deserves so much better, please."
In his long life that was filled with hardships, torture, and wars, this was the worst pain he ever went through. He could feel his heart twisting and breaking. Every cell in his body was hurting. The emotional pain turning physical.
His eyes were dried up. Cheeks stained with tears. His mind going through all the worst scenarios. None of them he would be able to survive.
He jumped up from the floor when the door opened, and a doctor walked out. His heart was beating a thousand miles a second. All these prayers never leaving his mouth. His last hope.
"She is okay."
Tears of relief fell from his eyes. You survived it. You made it. The doctor talked about your injuries. With medications and the seurm, you would heal properly. Bucky didn't pay attention. His mind focused on one thing. He needed to see you.
After knowing your room's number, Bucky didn't leave your side. The doctor told him it might take a bit for you to wake up, but he didn't mind. He would stay forever.
It wasn't long before you woke up.
You opened your eyes slowly, adjusting to the bright lights. The last thing you remember was the intense pain. It didn't hurt as much now. You just felt so exhausted. You tried to move your hands, only to be blocked.
You looked down to see Bucky holding your hand so tightly and his head resting next to it. You could tell his eyes were swollen and his nose was red. But he looked peaceful sleeping. You missed him so much.
Without much thought, you moved your other free hand to his head, playing with his hair. It felt soft under your fingers. You blamed the serum that made him wake up from such a simple touch.
You smiled softly as you watched him, trying to remember where he was and what he was doing. He looked confused until he saw you.
"You are awake." Bucky got up from the seat next to the bed.
"Are you okay? Are you pain? What hurts? I'm going to call the doctor." He was frantic. He only stopped when you held his metal hand.
"I'm okay, Bucky." You reassured him with a smile.
You repeated it a couple of times before he finally sat back down on the chair. That's when you noticed he was still in his suit that was covered in blood. Your blood.
After he sat down, he looked at your intertwined fingers together and couldn't help the tears.
"What's wrong?" You asked as you moved your thumb gently on his knuckles.
"You scared the life out of me." He answered as he wiped his tears away.
"Though we were used to this, Barnes." You replied playfully, hands still together.
"Not when it comes to you. Never you." Bucky was fast to respond.
"Nothing I haven't been through before." You said it casually. You didn't miss the look in Bucky's eyes. It held too much depth to it. You couldn't put your hand on it
"Is your arm okay? Do you need to get it checked?" Flashbacks were coming back to you bit by a bit. As you touched his metal arm, you remembered what happened to him.
"You are in the hospital bed, and you are asking about my arm." Bucky's laugh was dry. He would always be in awe of how caring you were.
"I will never stop caring about, Bucky. Even if you don't want me." It was true. Nothing could make you stop caring about Bucky.
"Don't want you?" Bucky couldn't let your comment go by.
"Yeah. You don't want me anymore. It's okay. I understand."
"You understand?"
"I remind you of a bad time. The worst. And you had to move on. You had to cut ties with all parts of this time."
"Is this why you think we broke up?"
"Isn't it?"
You started telling yourself this after the breakup as a way to pick the shattered pieces of your heart. Of course, he didn't want to be with someone who held their bad time as a constant reminder on her body as scars. Or with someone who went through the same hell as him. He deserved someone better. Someone who wasn't so damaged.
And you understood.
"No, it isn't."
He was planning to tell you everything but not right now. But words just fell out from the tip of his tongue.
"I don't look at you and see bad time. I look at you, and I see all my failures."
You looked at him, baffled, not getting what he meant.
"I remember everything."
You still didn't know what he wanted to say.
"I remember what Hydra did to you. What they made you do for me. What I did to you."
"Bucky.."
"How they pushed you too far in the lies of not hurting me. How they made you watch as they erased you from my mind. How they made me fight you. Hurt you."
You were about to tell him how you didn't hold him accountable to any of this because it was never his fault. It was never his intention. You were sure Bucky would never hurt you. The Winter Soldier not too. But he cut you off.
"They took you because they knew how much you meant to me. How important you are to me. I was the reason you had to go through all of this."
"I look at you and remember how I failed to protect you. When that's all I ever wanted in life. To protect you. But I failed."
"Just like I failed today."
Before you could say anything, he kept going.
"I couldn't understand how you could still love me."
"I looked at the list of people I hurt, and your name was first. And you wanted to help me. You wanted to stay by my side. I couldn't live with the guilt. I still can't. I had to let you go despite how bad it hurts."
"But, doll, I want you to be sure nobody will ever love you half as much as I do."
It took years for Hydra to remove you from his mind. But what they didn't know was that they never fully succeeded.
At first, he would forget his name but remember his girl and everything about you. Then they become harsher, so he would only remember your face and name. Then, it became only your face. Then nothing. The blank paper for them to write what they wanted.
However, whenever Hydra made the both of you train together or go on missions, he would get this rush of flashbacks like a movie playing in his head once he was alone in his cell. It would be you. In different places and different ages. The Winter Soldier would convince himself that it must be his memories from past missions. Effects of being wiped too many times.
The soldier was never able to shake the feeling of guilt after a training session where he would be instructed to be tough with you. A feeling so foreign to him.
He remembers the first time he refused to hurt you. They made him watch from far as they tortured you. Then they wiped him again. Every time he showed any sympathy for you, he was wiped and handled roughly.
But all the efforts weren't enough. You were the first thing he remembered once he settled in Bucharest. That's when the guilt came in. It was you. The love of his love. His fiancée. And they got to you. And he couldn't save you.
Even after the blip, His thoughts kept going back to how he betrayed you and hurt you instead of protecting you like he was meant it.
But the worst part was how he thought he didn't deserve your love anymore. He thought you would resent him. So he decided to break his heart into two. He left.
You were the forbidden topic that Raynor wasn't allowed to go near despite how much she wanted. You were the centre of his nightmares. All of them. Past memories of both of you at Hydra. Missions and trainings. And the worst, losing you. Watching you getting killed. Nightmares that invaded him, and he was defenceless.
"I love you, and I'm so sorry." Bucky laid soft kiss on your hand.
"Let me ask a question, Bucky." He looked at you, tears still filling his eyes.
You didn't expect this to be the real reason why you and Bucky broke up. But you should have known. He was too good of a man.
"If it had been the other way you around, wouldn't you have done the same? Would you have hated me then?"
"I would give my life for you without hesitation. And nothing could ever make me hate you."
His answer was fast. That was the only thing he knew about himself. You come first, always.
"Then why are you surprised with what I did? You don't love me more, Bucky." You laughed softly, already feeling your ribs ache a bit.
You always had this running joke that Bucky loved you more than you did. And to a lot of the extent, it was true.
"You didn't deserve it."
"Neither did you."
You patted the spot on bed next to you, wanting him to be close to you. And he listened. He sat on the bed, hands never leaving each other.
"Haven't we been through enough? Haven't the world tore us apart too many times? Let us have this."
If he still loved you, then you should be together. You should be broken together. You should heal together. It was poetic how even in pain, you were still together.
Both of you understood each other better than anyone. You shouldn't be separated.
"You don't hate me?" It was Bucky's worst fear and biggest doubt. If the damage Hydra did was unrepairable.
"I can live hundreds of years and still be in love with you."
You squeezed his hand to make sure he knew how serious you were. "You are all I have ever known, Bucky."
With that, Bucky got up and moved so close to you. Your faces millimetres away from each other. His breath fanning over your face. His personal scent with dust and blood engulfing you. His blue eyes warming the inside of you.
"I got the best girl of them all." Bucky kissed you.
It was a soft, slow kiss. A sign of starting over. Of getting back.
You smiled in the kiss. Bucky used to say this all the time back then. You were known as Bucky's best girl. He used to call you that.
You broke away, feeling so much better now. Bucky rested his flesh hand on your cheek.
"I thought I lost you. I was so scared."
"You didn't. I'm right here."
"Though you will leave me before I say it back." You looked at him, puzzled.
"I love you, doll. You are the thing I live for. You are the purpose of my existence. I love you so much."
You didn't care about the pain as you moved up to meet his lips one more time. And he kissed you back right away.
"You owe me a ring and wedding, Barnes." You joked while you brought your other hand to hold into his suit to ground yourself.
He laughed before he moved away for a bit, and you already missed the closeness, and he wasn't far. You watched as he brought his dog tags out. You saw something bright with them but couldn't tell it was.
"Oh my god." You felt tears gather in your eyes as Bucky brought out the shiny thing closer.
It was your ring. Your engagement ring. The ring Bucky put in your finger many years ago. It was it. You thought it must have been lost that you didn't try to look for it, avoiding the disappointment.
But here it was. Bucky was able to find it. And he kept it with his dog tags. So close to his heart. Where you belonged.
Bucky got in one knee in his technical gear in a hospital room with you connected to IV.
"Doll, will you marry me?"
You laughed loudly that you felt pain shot again in your body. Bucky was next to you in an instant when your laugh turned to a cough.
"Third time is a charm." You said as you gave him your hand.
With another proposal in Wakanda before the snap, you managed to get Bucky Barnes on his knees three times for you.
He put the ring on your finger and pressed a kiss on your hand. "It will be. Mrs. Barnes." The name always had its sweet effect on you.
Bucky leaned in again to kiss you. And this kiss felt out of the world. Like a lifeboat before drowning. Water after the drought. Your rescue.
It was Bucky's promise of safety and security. Nothing and nobody was ever going to hurt you again. A promise of a safe home. Together.
You kept your forehead resting on his as your hand found its place once again on his suit.
"No to be rude, but you need a shower, babe." You could feel the dust on his face and the blood dried on his suit and skin.
"I will be okay. Probably going to fall asleep." You didn't give him a chance to protest.
"Plus, you know. I like my man nice and clean." You pecked his lips playfully.
The sound of the word "your man" falling from your lips referring to Bucky made his heart do little dances. Damn right he was your man.
"I won't take long." He kissed your hair before he got up and left to get himself presentable for his lady.
The world felt lighter, brighter, better. You felt happy. You were happy. You looked at the ring that held huge meaning for you. You weren't hurting. You were finally okay. You had your man back.
Who would have thought a near death incident would be the thing to give you back the man who always brought life to you.

main masterlist
A/N: i have been adding to my own squish mallow collection and thought of this 🥰 i’m unhealthily obsessed with squish mallows
Tumblr media
Arriving back at your shared apartment, Bucky couldn’t help but notice the amount of time xtra large bags on the kitchen counter. He furrowed his brows in confusion and wandered to the fridge. Opening it in inspection, he didn’t see anything new or added.
You hadn’t gone grocery shopping…
He could hear faint shuffling from your shared room, and he couldn’t help but panic. His mind was brilliant at creating a problem from nothing. He was a professional over thinker— and sometimes it threatened to make his heart give out.
“Baby? I’m home!” He announced, shimmying off his jacket and making his way to the bedroom.
“James! Come quick— you gotta see something!” You said urgently.
He automatically thought the worst and all his suspicions were suddenly coming through. Visions of you hurt came to mind and he practically sprinted and busted through the door. The knob slamming into the wall with a loud thud.
“(Y/n)? You okay?!” He asked panicked.
His body relaxed at your calm state, only the look of confusion on your face. With a quick scan— he noticed there was nothing wrong with the room or you. In fact, if anything was different— it were the many new plushies on the bed.
Releasing a breath that he didn’t know he was holding in, and ran a hand through his hair.
“James honey— you alright? Just wanted to show you my new squishmallows.” You asked him worried, walking over to stand next to him.
Truthfully, if anything he was embarrassed that he’d let himself get in his head again. But after finding you perfectly fine, and organizing your plushies— which he found adorable— he felt fine. He was only happy that you were okay.
“M’fine baby, just thought you were in trouble is all.” He told you honestly.
You softened your gaze to him, grabbing his hand and hiding him to the bed. You gently pushed him down to sit, and he did so willingly.
“I didn’t mean to sound all panicky— was just excited to show you the new ones I got today!” You told him, smiling like the cheshire cat.
He chuckled, leaning back on his hands as he looked down at the medium sized squishmallows.
“You know— this is considered an addiction.” He pointed out.
You scoffed, waving him off like it was no big deal.
“Some consider it a hobby actually.” You defended.
He raised his brows in amusement, chuckling again when he saw you being so defensive. He thought you were adorable.
“You’re so cute.” He said out loud, causing your face to grow hot.
After all this time— he was still easily able to make you blush, flustered from his compliments.
You shook off the flush in your face, choosing to pick up a new squishmallow to show him. You held up a medium sized seal squishmallow, to which Bucky smiled at.
“This is a seal one, his name is Remmy.” You told him.
Bucky grabbed it from your hands, giving it a test hug and holding it while you grabbed another one. Next was a longhorn squishmallow, with a ring dangling from its nose.
“This is a bull one, his name is Shep.” You told him, giving it a hug and then passing it to Bucky.
You held back a giggle, Bucky holding the plushies to his chest an adorable sight. Such a tough man with these cute stuffed animals.
“I like his horns.” He noted, fiddling with the plushie.
You picked up the last one, being a bird squishmallow. You smiled wide as you looked at it, this one being your favorite.
“This is my favorite of the three. I think he’s a hawk or something, and his name is Sam.” You explained.
Bucky’s eyes went wide and he started laughing, dropping the other plushies on the bed, he reached out and grabbed the hawk and inspected it.
“Sam, really?” He asked chuckling.
You nodded your head with a sly smile.
“Does our Sam know about this?” He asked again.
“Definitely not— but I’m sure he’d appreciate it.” You told him.
You two laughed at the goofiness and you ended up being pulled by Bucky into the bed. He wrapped you up in his arms and the two of you started cuddling— just melting into each others embrace. The squishmallows surrounded you two while you both drifted off to sleep.
Nothing felt more perfect, nothing felt more right than being in his arms.
“Love you baby.” He whispered, kissing the top of your head.
“Love you more James.” You mumbled into his chest.

Beds
Bucky Barnes x Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: While sharing a hotel room with Reader, Bucky has a nightmare.
A/N: Surprise. Bet y’all didn’t expect a fic from me. How longs it been? Too long. Anyways, I’m rewriting one of my old fics, or more so taking the same concept but doing it more in character. Also I think this is the first time I’ve written something where we don’t see Bucky’s pov, so I think that’s kinda fun. Btw I’m rusty so don’t judge me if it shows. Also I think this is gender neutral but I’m not sure?
Warnings: language, sexual references, nightmares, ptsd, panic attack (not too intense), allusions to some hydra stuff but nothing graphic, hurt/comfort, frenemies to lovers, Bucky is moody, the one bed trope™️, no use of “y/n”, kinda sappy
—————————
A loud sigh came from the left of you just before the elevator dinged and the metal doors creaked open. You ignored him, you chose not to engage in his passive aggressiveness. You weren’t going to accept the invitation of a petty rant hiding behind that sigh.
You walked down the hallway with Bucky stalking behind you, like an angry pitbull trailing after its owner.
“I don’t even know why we got a fucking hotel in the first place.” Bucky grumbled, and you could practically feel the weight of his eye roll, even though you couldn't see it.
“Here we go.” You muttered under your breath. “What did you want? A safe house? It’s not like we’re on some high stakes, undercover op. Anything more than a hotel would be excessive.”
“Anything more woulda had better sleeping options.” He whined. “Coulda at least got us separate rooms.”
“My god, give it a rest Bucky, you’ve been complaining all day about this.” You we’re exasperated, it was about the third time you’d heard him gripe that day.
“Well, I’m not a fan. Us sharing is the stupidest fucking idea Sam’s ever had.”
“Bitching about it isn’t gonna change anything. And, it’s not like we have to sleep together or anything, I’ll be in a whole different bed.” You said, unlocking the room door. You had been looking forward to chilling out and resting, but as soon as you entered the room, you realized that your night would be anything but restful.
“Fuck.” You laughed, humorlessly, knowing you were about to hear an endless rant. “I take that back, there isn’t different beds.”
Surprisingly that rant didn’t come. Bucky weirdly seemed calmer than he had before and merely shrugged. “‘S fine. I’ll take the floor.”
“Well, one of us can try the couch?”
“That thing could fit a toddler at best.” He gestured towards the small leather love seat as if it was the most ridiculous suggestion he had ever heard, and in all honesty, he had a point.
You pinched the skin between your eyebrows. “Sam said he booked a two person room.”
He shrugged again and then blankly said. “This is why he shoulda booked separate rooms.”
“My god Bucky, I’m not that bad of a roommate. I don’t snore, I don’t sleep walk, and it’s not like I’m gonna kill you in your sleep. It’s one fucking night. Just-“ You took a deep breath and tried to mellow out. “You can have the bed.”
“No, you can have it.”
“You’re obviously more tore up about this than me, so it’s yours. I’ll sleep on the floor.”
“No.” He refused, his eyes held an odd stubbornness. “I’ll sleep on the floor.”
“I literally don’t care, I’ve done it a million times. Plus, your grumpy ass probably needs some good sleep.” You half teased, trying to do the nice thing. You unzipped your bag and pulled your belongings out. “I’m gonna go change clothes.”
When you came back from the bathroom, Bucky was already in his boxers and a T-shirt, positioning a pillow and blanket on the floor.
“I told you the bed was yours.”
“Okay, and?”
“Why are you getting down there?“
“Why the fuck are you arguing?”
“Because you’re all pissy about this whole situation, so I’m trying to make your life easier and give you the bed.” You didn’t understand his defiance and odd aversion to the thing he’d been complaining about restlessly: the better sleeping option.
“I don’t want the goddamn bed, just shut the fuck up about it!” Bucky snapped. His outburst caught you off guard, he acted as if you had been purposefully pushing his buttons.
“Damn, fine.” You held your hands up in defeat, almost offended at the way he lashed out. “I get you’re trying to be all gentlemen-like but ya know, the aggressiveness defeats the purpose.”
“It’s not about being a gentlemen. Don’t get it twisted, I’m not being nice, I-“ He grunted. “Never mind I don’t owe you a fuckin’ explanation. Just get in bed.”
“I will, thank you, cause I’m tired. Especially tired of whatever the fuck is up your ass and has you so bitchy.”
You said it with full sincerity, of course you were used to bickering with Bucky but it always was in a playful manner, even when annoyed with each other, it was always friendly fire. There had been no sign of that all afternoon, Bucky was purely hostile and treating you like his greatest burden.
“You running your damn mouth and arguing isn’t helping anything.” He spat as he turned off the lights.
“Wow, sorry. Didn’t know offering you the bed was so fucking rude and offensive.”
“Shut the fuck up.” He groaned.
You muttered “fucking dick” under your breath.
“I heard that.”
As you settled into the bed, you couldn't help but roll your eyes in frustration. You found yourself pondering what you could have possibly done to provoke such a strong reaction from him. You couldn't shake the feeling that it wasn't entirely about you. Maybe something else was going on and you were standing in as Bucky’s punching bag, just being the unfortunate catheter for his anger.
It didn’t matter. You had to force all the worry and aggravation out of your head because his attitude wasn’t worth losing sleep over. The last thing you need was to be exhausted on a mission.
—————————
You were jolted awake by a sudden, loud gasp, followed by a soft groan emanating from his direction. Rubbing your eyes, you opened them to find him sitting upright, his knees drawn close to his chest. He looked so small, a stark contrast to the huge stature and borderline intimidating presence you’d become so familiar with. His breathing was audible despite the distance between you, it was quick and shallow.
“Buck?” You concernedly called out to him but he didn’t answer. You then got out of bed, and flicked on the nightstand lamp.
“Bucky?” You tried again when you were closer.
Out of all the time you’d known Bucky, this was the first you’d seen him vulnerable. He was trembling harshly, hyperventilating too. He seemed equally dazed and terrified, but also distant as if he were lost in his head. You always thought Bucky had rather sad eyes but right now, the way they were widened with fear and slightly watering, took it to a whole new level.
You knew what was happening and seeing it felt like a stab to the heart. You slowly sat down in front of him, keeping space between you as to not worsen his panic.
“Buck, it’s okay.” You cooed. “Can you hear me right now?”
His gaze shifted to you, finally making eye contact, which gave you an answer.
“Okay, can you try to breathe with me? Deep breath…in 1…2…3” You exaggeratedly took large, slow inhale to lead him. “Out 1…2…3…”
You repeated the example, guiding until he finally started to follow along with you. “Good, you’re doing good. Do you know where you are?”
“….hotel. We’re on a mission?”
“Good, that’s right, good. It’s okay. You’re safe.” With a gentle and caring tone, you spoke to him, hoping to bring a sense of peace to the turmoil that was raging within him. Your heart felt heavy as you seen the pain that was laced within him, and you wished so badly that you could erase it all. You’d been scared you weren’t doing the right things, but his increasing improvement made you more confident.
“Can I touch you?”
He nodded.
You supportively placed your hand on top of his, stroking your thumb over his skin in a soothing manner. He initially flinched but didn’t pull away. “Starting to calm down now?”
“Yeah.” He released a long heavy breath and wiped the wetness off his eyelids with his free hand.
You sat silently with him, providing that tender, tactile support as he as he worked to regain his composure and steady his breathing. As he gradually calmed down, you noticed the shame creeping over him, causing his cheeks to flush red and his gaze to avert from yours.
“I didn’t want you to see this shit.” He finally said after minutes of silence.
“It’s fine-“
“Fuckin embarrassing is what it is.”
“No, stuff happens. I’m not gonna judge, ya know? I understand. I know what having panic attacks is like.” You revealed in attempt to make him feel more seen.
He slightly shook his head, at himself instead of towards to you, but he stayed silent.
“You okay?”
“Yeah.” He paused for a moment, he licked his lips and hung his head even lower. “‘M used to it. Get ‘em bout every night.”
“The panic attacks?”
“Nightmares. Those sometimes comes after though.”
“Oh.” You whispered, feeling like something in you had just shattered. “About hydra?”
“Yeah.”
“You wanna talk about it?” You offered carefully.
“Nothing you should hear. My head’s a fucked up place.” He laughed humorlessly.
“Try me.”
He hesitated for a moment, you assumed he was debating on wether or not he should trust you with such a heavy part of himself. “Basically all memories. Not so much dreams, more so just stuff that’s already happened. Flashbacks I guess.”
As his mouth parted to speak, only to close again, you knew that he wasn’t finished so you waited patiently, allowing him the time he needed to gather his thoughts.
“Most of the time it’s…you know…what I’ve done. People I’ve killed. It’s….of course it’s horrible. Pretty gruesome but uh….I’ve gotten better at dealing with those, it’s still….I just get em so much that I can calm down faster now. But sometimes…it’s the shit Hydra did to me and it’s just….I’d get punished a lot. Some kinda torture or beatings, I’ll spare you the details.”
You continued to stroke his hand and stayed silent, not wanting to push him.
“But uh…they had this chair. Um, I’d get strapped down and they’d electrocute me. That’s how they’d…ya know. And I’d always end up there for a wipe after I fucked up. Or even if I didn’t. I don’t what’s worse honestly…the sick twisted shit they’d come up with or the wipe but…but reliving all that….”
“That’s fucking terrifying.”
“Yeah. Yeah, terrifying is an understatement. Sometimes…it’s hard to feel safe after that.”
His breathing started to pick up again. The cracks in his voice made it clear he was starting to get overwhelmed.
You then firmly grasped his hand, giving it a supportive squeeze. “It’s okay, you don’t have to keep going if you don’t want to.”
“I don’t like to think about all that. I try to never actually. It’s like…obviously it’s…I can’t describe how fucking awful. But at the same time, if I do think about it, it’s like I’m ignoring all the evil shit I’ve done. And that’s not fair to everyone I’ve wronged. So then….if I never think about or deal with the torture….when I have to relive it in these goddamn nightmares…it just fucks me up worse. And my fucking luck is one of the few times it happens is when I’m sharing a room with someone.”
Your heart sank to the floor, your own eyes were watering at this point from getting just this small glimpse of his pain. “I’m so sorry, Buck. Hell, I don’t even know what to say right now. I wish I could do more to help.”
“You’re doing enough.“
“You didn’t deserve it, ya know? I don’t know everything that went on but you never deserved to suffer like that.”
“Half-debatable. At certain point it had to become karma for the suffering I was causing myself.” He shrugged solemnly.
“That’s not true. You had no control.”
He sighed exasperatedly, filled with a sad frustration directed at himself. He put his face in his palm. “We’ve had that conversation. You already know I don’t see it that way.”
“Yeah but I hope one day you will. And I’ll die before I stop trying to get it through your head that you’re innocent. You know you’re strong, right? So damn strong to be holding it together right now. After going through all that pain and to still be here and be a good man? To come as far as you have. I’ve never met anyone as strong as you.”
“We can agree to disagree but I appreciate it….and thanks sitting with me and calming me down and all that.”
“Of course.”
“I’m sorry about earlier. This is why…I didn’t wanna share. And this is….one…of the reasons I don’t like sleeping in a bed. Makes the nightmares worse sometimes. That’s not your fault though, so I shouldn’t’ve…I just didn’t want you to know.”
“It’s alright. I get it now.”
“I shouldn’t’ve took it out on you. I really am sorry.”
“Buck, I get why you were upset. Well kinda, I honestly can’t imagine even a fraction of what you go through.”
“Goin a little far with the pity.” He grew a tiny smirk.
“Compassion.” You corrected. “And I can’t help it, I mean…not to get all sappy, but I care about you. A lot.”
His smirk morphed into a smile and you mirrored it. You wrapped your arm around him and laid your head on his shoulder, Bucky then slowly encircled you with his own arms. You knew the hug was Bucky's way of wordlessly affirming that he cared about you too.
“Didn’t know Mr. Grumpy was capable of hugging.”
“Consider it a one time gift.”
You chuckled in response but then an idea entered your mind.
“You think it’d help if I slept with you?” You asked softly.
He gave you a cheeky grin. “Could at least take me out to dinner first.”
“You know what I meant.”
He sighed. “Not to be an ass but I literally just told you I don’t like beds?”
“No dumb ass, I mean down here.”
He tilted his head and gave a tight lipped frown. “You don’t gotta do that.”
“No. But if it’d help you feel more comfortable, then I want to.”
He didn’t answer at first but because his face had always been an open book, revealing every emotion with striking transparency, he wore an expression that was etched with heartbreaking gratitude.
“Yeah…we can try that.” He whispered, as if he was in shock.
With gentle movements, you plucked the blanket and pillow from the bed and nestled yourself beside him. As you lay towards him, your faces drew closer, until they were mere inches apart. You could feel his warm breath caressing your skin. In that moment, time seemed to stand still as you both gazed into each other's eyes, it was almost hypnotic. There was no awkwardness when it should have been expected, instead, a comforting feeling washed over you. You were consumed by excitement, tinged with a soothing calmness. Sure, it was paradoxical, but it was consuming and left you lost in the moment.
“Um…” Bucky started hesitantly but then cut himself off, he bit his bottom lip nervously.
Before you had a chance to even consider the words, they spilled from your lips. You were surprised with your own spontaneity, but the question had already slipped. “You wanna cuddle?”
It was as if you read his mind, you could practically see all the anxiety melt off Bucky before he pulled you into his chest. “This okay?” He asked.
“Mhm.” You replied, allowing yourself to sink into the comforting warmth of his body, all while listening to the soft thumps of his heart beating. It was a new intimacy that strangely felt familiar and natural, like everything had suddenly fallen into place.
You heard him yawn and you hummed fondly at how cute it was. “Goodnight, Buck.”
Tenderly, he leaned in and softly placed his lips upon your forehead, holding them there for a fleeting moment before settling his chin atop your head.
—————————
Bucky straddled your lap, his hand cupping your face as he devoured you in a passionate kiss that unraveled you with each flick of his tongue. His other hand roamed to less innocent regions of your body, exploring them with a touch that was both bold and tender.
He repositioned and pressed you down onto the couch, towering over you as his tongue continued to dance in your mouth. You were both breathless, and desiring more. He proceeded to plant kisses on your jawline before moving down to nibble on your neck.
He suddenly stopped, muttering against your skin. “You wanna move to your room? Have a little more space for this?”
“You know what’s funny?”
“Hm?”
“How before we got together, you hated beds, but now you want in my sheets every damn second.” You teased.
“Well…feels a lot more pleasant now.”
“Weird way to say ‘I’m always horny’.”
“I’m making up for 80 some years. And like you aren’t, you’re worse than me half the time.”
“Definitely worked up now, so get me to the bed and we’ll go as many rounds as you want, pervert.”
“Fuck you.” He laughed.
“I’m waiting for it.”

Set a Fire in My Heart
Summary: You live in the same building as Bucky and Sam always teases Bucky about going out with you, little does he know that you have feelings for him, and you end up taking him out to a 40's themed bar.
*Warnings - none, pure fluff, kissing, soft Bucky.
Tumblr media
You could hear Bucky and Sam's distinct distinct laughter in the hallway of the apartment building as you neared the front door with your laundry basket. A small smile crept its way to your face as you heard Sam's muffled voice teasing Bucky about something, likely something that happened on a mission. You opened your door clutching the laundry basket against your hip, awkwardly bumping into the frame of the door as you squeezed passed. Bucky's head instantly raised as he noticed your door opening and came rushing to your aid, taking the basket from under your arm, "hey, let me get that" Your eyes met and there was a prolonged silence where the two of you just stared at each other, you were completely lost in his angelic blue eyes and all the breath left your body for a moment in pure bliss. He gave you a subtle smile as his flesh hand grazed over your taking the basket from your grip.
"Are you two gonna talk or just stare at each other like psychopaths?" Sam interjected himself, and you were awakened from your trance like state, you gained your breath back and smiled shaking your head. you hummed to yourself shortly, before greeting the pair "Hi" you smiled, Bucky returned the greeting and Sam nodded towards you silently laughing at how awkward the pair of you were.
-
It was no secret to those looking in that you and Bucky were head over heals for each other, which is why Sam could not understand why in the last year Bucky hadn't asked you out on a date. From the first second he saw you stepping out from the moving van carrying a box, he saw a light in his best friends eyes he had never seen before, and it just so happened you were moving in on the same floor just two doors down, Sam thought Bucky had hit the Jackpot. From that point on every time the two of you had seen each other neither one of you could really talk, too caught up in one another's eyes to say anything, which Sam found to be hilarious.
-
"How are you? I've not seen you for a while have you guys been on a mission?" you asked genuine concern laced in your voice, Bucky noticed your eyebrows arched with worry ever so slightly which he found adorable. "Yeah I'm good, we have been on a mission across Europe, nothing to major, all is well, how are you though?" - "sure if you call 10 guys in tactical gear trying to assassinate the president of France a 'non major threat' then sure we're all good!" Sam jumped in sarcastically, your eyes bulge and your mouth goes agape. Bucky gives Sam a light slap on his chest with his vibranium limb. "Are you really trying to downplay being a superhero Bucky?" you teased him with a cheeky smile. he goes to reply "I mean-" Sam interjects again "the answer is yes Buck, anyway you got any plans today y/n, or this weekend, or near future?" he hints nudging Bucky who clears his throat and looks to the ground. "no apart from doing my laundry, I actually have some annual leave so I'll just be chilling, hanging out." There was a brief pause where the three of you all looked back and forth between each other. "Umm well I guess I should get on with my laundry then..." Bucky smiles and hands you back your basket as your hands gently outstretch towards him. "It was nice seeing you both, I'm glad your mission went well, I'll see you later" you nod towards both the men giving them one last smile over your shoulder as you head towards the elevator.
as soon as you are out of ear shot Sam hits Bucky's chest, "What the hell man, she just basically begged you to ask her out!" Sam exclaimed arms flailing in the air, a pissed off expression clear on his face. "what no she didn't" Bucky shoots himself down. "Yes she did man! she explicitly told you she doesn't have anything going on for the foreseeable future, if that's not an invitation to ask her out on a date then I don't know what is!" Bucky continued to shake his head and started walking back towards his own apartment.
---
It was a few days later and all you had done on your time off was think about Bucky, you had given him so many opportunities to ask you on a date but he seemed to miss every single one. You initially figured it was to do with the fact that he was 106 years old and you were in your mid twenties but you could clearly see that he was attracted to you, from the way he looked at you to the way he acted around you, you had dated your fare share of people to understand what plain attraction looks like, but why wouldn't he ask you out, was he just as frightened of rejection as you? He had fought aliens, and helped saved the world from numerous threats but was too scared to ask out a girl so you thought you would bite the bullet and ask him on a date yourself. simple as that and if he says no, you only ever had to see him in the hallways.
You poured yourself a large glass of wine for liquid luck and downed it, giving yourself a glance over in the mirror, you fixed your hair and made your way into the hallway, taking in a deep breath as you reach his front door, you knock softly on his front door, part of brain praying it was too soft for him to hear to save yourself the pain if he says no, but to your luck, and Bucky's super soldier hearing he opens almost straight away. "Y/n are you okay?" he looks around the hallway to spot if there was any danger, you never knock on his door. "Yes Bucky, I'm good, very good actually, I wanted to ask if you umm... If you would like to go out with me this evening... on a date?" your face was so serious Bucky could not tell if this was a joke that Sam had put you up to. "Are you sure?" Bucky's response made your head tilt, you had never been asked if you were sure you really wanted to go on a date with someone you had asked out, you laughed out loud and shook your head, "I wouldn't have asked you if I wasn't sure" you smile up at him and see a blush rise from his neck up to his cheeks. It was a notion you had never seen from him before but one you would grow to love. "Yes, I would love to go out with you" he responds smiling, blush still very apparent on his cheeks. "Okay great, be ready for 8, I have somewhere in mind, dress smart, I'll see you later" with a rush of confidence you brazenly lean in and plant a kiss on his blushed cheeks which only make them burn hotter, you swiftly turn on your feet and practically run back to your apartment with your heart pounding from your chest. Bucky is just left stood at his door stunned, in disbelief that this is actually happening.
As soon as he steps back inside his apartment he reaches for his phone on the counter to call Sam. He hears the chimes of the phone ringing for a few moments before Sam finally answers "What's up cyborg!" HIs voice booms through the speakers, "You tell me Sam, have you been talking to Y/n over the last few days?" Bucky questions him "Y/n, what would I have to say to her?" "I don't know Sam, maybe encouraging her to ask me on a date?" Bucky sighs hoping his sabotaging thoughts were not a reality. "She asked you out!!! Oh wow, when, how, where, when, why?!" Sam practically screams down the phone, "well I'm trying to figure out the why now Sam, did you or did you not put her up to this?" Bucky burst out his frustration. "Man do you really think I would do that to you, no I did not tell her to ask you out, I've been telling you for months that she's into you too! please tell me you said yes?" there is a pause and Bucky lets out another sigh, this time of relief. "Yeah I said yes, we're going out tonight at 8... I'm sorry I accused you, I uh, just really like her and I'm in my head." he hears Sam chuckle from the other end of the phone "I know man, just promise me you'll have a good time"

7.59pm
Bucky waited promptly by his door fixing his cufflinks, nervously shaking his legs, he thought about going into the hallway to meet you, or to even knock on your door, but he didn't want to scare you off with his eagerness . The second the clock turned 8pm there was a soft knock on his front door, the truth is you had also been anxiously waiting in the hallway, counting down the minutes to tap on his door. He secretly appreciated your promptness, never much enjoying being later for anything. He opened the door to see you standing there, beautiful as ever he thought, hair cascading down in soft curls, half pinned up at one side with a tortoise patterned clip, a deep purple slip dress with a cowl back, it was simple but elegant you thought. Bucky admired you, his eyes drinking you all in, you just looked at him almost laughing as he continued to eye you up and down, he clearly appreciated the effort you had put in. "Hi" Bucky released a breath he didn't know he was holding as he leaned towards you and placed a soft kiss on your cheek, a smile instant on your face, "shall we head out?" Buck just nods in return and takes your hand.
Bucky is confused when you park your car by a convenience store and exit the car nodding your head excitedly for him to follow, he hears your car lock and thinks you must have to pick something up. You take his flesh hand once more and walk towards the worked behind the cash register, a youngish girl looks up from her phone and smiles at the pair of you. Bucky notices you slip her some money across the counter which he finds strange. he eyes the pair of you confused. "I'm looking for starlight, can you help me please?" Bucky is sure you're attempting to buy drugs for a moment in the most casual way possible and is bewildered by your ballsy attitude. "sure, ice cream freezer at the very back, mind the steps" the worker smiles and nods towards the back of the shop and goes back to scrolling though her phone, Bucky is still in utter confusion at the entire encounter. You squeeze Bucky's hand and give him a "come on" in encouragement, amused by his puzzled face.
You reach the Ice cream freezer door at the back of the shop and open the door towards you to reveal a dimly lit hallway and a set of stairs leading to a basement, you outstretch your hand signalling for Bucky to go first, he steps inside the freezer, which is not a freezer at all and walks down the hallway, you close the door behind you, as the pair of you begin to walk down the stairs the sound of 40's jazz music is muffled behind a door. Bucky's eyes begin to light up, you reach the bottom of the stairs and tap on the door in a certain rhythm and the door is opened for you, revealing a 1940's themed jazz bar, 'The Starlight Speakeasy' You smile as you look up to Bucky, his eyes almost filling with tears as he looks around the room in wonder. He knew these places existed but he never thought they would be this accurate, he felt like he had been transported back home, and he was 24 again off to war.
"Is this okay Bucky? I thought you'd like it, if it's too much we can go somewhere else?" you begin to ramble and he squeezes your hands, bringing them up to his chest, "this is more than perfect, thank you... now let me get you drink" he smiles and practically drags you to the bar. The warm crackle of the music playing through the speakers made you feel fuzzy and made Bucky feel at home, he ordered himself a beer and a glass of wine for you, he knows exactly what your favourite is after helping you carry your shopping up to your apartment many times, which made your heart flutter. "I bet it didn't cost you this much money for a drink back in the day" you laughed he shook his head "you wanna know how much a beer cost back then? not even a dime, like 4,5 cents" your eyes nearly fell out of your head "you're kidding right! that's insane, you must think everyone is trying to rob you with the cost of everything these days" Bucky only laughs and shakes his head. The pair of you find a table and sip your drinks, watching couples dancing, your head sways along to the music, and the pair of you chit chat. Bucky notices you sitting more on the edge of your seat, tapping your feet and he takes his chance, just then one of his favourite songs begins playing ' I don't want to set the world on fire' by the Ink Spots. Bucky stands and places his hand in front of your seated figure. You shyly place your hand in his and follow him to the dance floor.
He pulls you close and you instantly breath him in, he smells of cologne and the bitter beer he has been drinking, his flesh arm wraps around your waist and you hold onto his vibranium hand, you look up at him and see his eyes are closed, he looks peaceful, which is a sight you never want to leave your eyes. Your finger traces his finger to the palm of his hand and back to intertwine your fingers again. He opens his eyes at your touch, "Can you feel that, I read that Vibranium can take in kinetic energy does that mean you can still feel things with your hand?" your eyes met his in genuine wonder "I can, it's to do with the electrodes in my brain, but yeah I can feel things" after hearing this you took his hand and placed it against your cheek and leaned into it as you continued to sway. You could feel his pulse beating fast against your chest, he stroked your cheek and brushed his metal thumb across your soft lips, his hand stopped to softly grip your chin and pushed your head up slightly. Your eyes met briefly glancing between the baby blues and his pink lips, your breath hitched and he leaned it, catching your lips in a kiss. You nuzzled your nose against his after your short kiss before going back for more, his hand slid along your jaw holding just below your ear, his other arm tightening its grip, he opened his mouth encouraging you to deepen the kiss, you could feel his hot breath and the taste of bitter against his tongue as you deepened the kiss further. You wanted this moment to last forever but sadly you had to pull away to breathe. Bucky smiled and placed his hand back against your cheek brushing the blush that had risen.
"you have no idea how long I have wanted to do that" Bucky sighs out leaning his head down atop of yours. "oh believe me, I do" you giggle. The pair of you stayed like that for the rest of the night, continuing to dance, kiss, drink and talk the night away, it was the happiest Bucky had been for a very long time.

The weather outside was icy, crisp, and biting. The world was draped in a pristine blanket of snow as gentle flakes cascaded from above. Such a picturesque scene of a winter wonderland was not uncommon for a December evening.
Inside your and Bucky’s house, a log crackled in the fireplace, casting a warm glow that bathed your living room in a golden hue. The scent of pine from the decorated Christmas tree mingled with the sweet aroma of vanilla-scented candles, creating a cozy and intimate atmosphere.
You were nestled beside Bucky on the sofa, wrapped in a soft blanket. Bucky’s sweater radiated a warmth that matched the crackling fire, and you couldn’t help but snuggle further into him. You purred in content and sighed happily as he draped an arm across you, kissing the top of your head.
“Hmm, you’re my favorite kind of warmth, Bucky,” you mumbled as you nuzzled your face in the cotton fabric.
With his thumb and finger pinching your chin, he brought your face to his. His hooded eyes gazing into your dilated ones.
His hand found your cheek, his touch gentle yet possessive. “You’re my favorite way to stay warm, doll,” he whispered, voice a low rumble that sent shivers down your spine.
There was no denying the meanings behind his words were a need for a deeper and more passionate connection with you. A need of your own that lit your insides on fire.
Your hands wandered beneath his thick sweater, fingers tracing patterns on his warm and toned skin. Bucky closed his eyes briefly with a throaty moan, savoring the sensation.
“Are you gonna show me how I keep you warm, baby,” you purred seductively. Bucky held a firm grip on your waist as he met your gaze again, his pupils blown out and desire swimming in the depths of his blues.
Bucky cursed silently as he leaned in, capturing your lips in a hungry kiss. He groaned against your mouth, his tongue delicately swiping your lower lip, pleading to explore more. You complied, him and you sliding against each other, exploring the depths of one another.
You pressed your body against his, your clothed breasts pressing against his chest. Bucky groaned as he hoisted you on his lap, kneading your ass in his palms. You moaned while grinding your hips against him, feeling his hardening cock against your clit, even with all your clothing. You kissed him with vigor while your hands roamed over his shoulders and chest.
As the kiss deepened further, Bucky’s hands ventured beneath your sweater. His flesh and machine hand grasped your waist firmly. He pulled you closer, hips flexing upwards to meet your movements, and you shivered above him in response.
“Fuck, I want you, doll. Need your naked body below me as I fuck you till you sing those sweet sounds I love,” he whispered against your lips, voice rough with need.
You moaned softly at his expression of desire, your own burning hot within. You found it hard to speak your needs as his hands slid up your sides beneath the thick sweater, caressing your skin and sending shivers down your spine. But Bucky was an expert in caring for your body and mind, so you let him take control.
He hummed as his lips trailed down your neck, teeth grazing the sensitive skin, making you shiver even more. Your hands moved to his hair, tangling your fingers in the strands and holding him close as he kissed and nibbled your neck. Your heart raced, breath coming faster, and Bucky knew you were as desperate for him as he was for you.
“This needs to come off, doll,” he whispered against your ear, voice low and husky as he tugged on your sweater.
Quickly obeying, you slipped the sweater over your head, revealing your lacy bra. Bucky let out a groan, his hands moving to the clasp of it, freeing your breasts from their confinement.
“Fuck, they’re perfect. You’re perfect,” Bucky groaned as he lowered his head, lips finding your nipple, tongue flicking across it before sucking gently. His hand toyed and played with the other, pulling and pinching lightly. You gasped and pulled his hair, urging him on, and he obliged by sucking harder, his tongue flicking the peaked bud while his thumb and finger teased the other.
“Fuck, fuck, I’ll come if you keep doing that,” you hissed, clit throbbing in need at the stimulation your breasts were receiving. “Please, Bucky.”
“Fuck, you drive me wild, doll,” he groaned as he picked you up with your legs wrapped around his waist for leverage, laying you down on the faux fur in front of the fireplace. The soft and thick fabric a juxtaposition to Bucky’s solid and powerful body hovering over you.
Your chest heaved as Bucky quickly discarded his sweater, his chiseled and perfect physique highlighted by the glow of the crackling fire.
His hand slid down your stomach before tugging at your sweatpants. You lifted your hips to aid in the removal of them. His fingers trailed over your bare thighs before slipping between them. You gasped as his fingers found your damp panties, his thumb rubbing against your covered clit, sending waves of pleasure through your body.
Bucky moaned into your breast as he continued to suck and tease your nipple, his cock straining his sweats. He released your nipple before taking both of your breasts in his hands, squeezing them, his thumbs brushing across your peaks, making you moan loudly with need.
“I need you, Bucky. I need your tongue or cock inside me while you touch me all over,” you whimpered. Your hands moved to the waistband of his sweatpants, pushing them down his legs along with his underwear, letting his hard cock spring free.
Bucky moaned your name as your soft hand wrapped around his cock, stroking slowly, teasing his slit with your thumb and smearing his leaking precum around his tip. Bucky groaned as you put more pressure, loving how you touched and made him feel.
“Need this cock inside me, fucking me and making me feel good,” you mewled against his parted lips, eyes heavy-lidded with desire.
“Beg for me, doll,” he said hoarsely.
“Please… I want you,” you whispered.
He smiled wickedly, lowering his head, kissing your stomach, hips, and thighs until he nestled comfortably between your lush and spread legs, his mouth mere inches from your covered pussy, making you moan and trash against the fur at his teasing.
“I’ll give you my cock, doll. But I need to taste you first,” he groaned, the vibration of his rumbled voice hitting your clit, making you arch your back and moan with need.
He discarded your panties in a swift movement, pushing your thighs further apart before feasting on your pussy.
He ran his tongue up your slit, flicking your clit, moaning against you, and then pushed his tongue inside your hole, thrusting in and out, your juices coating his tongue. The taste of you drove him wild as he ate you out with determination.
“You taste incredible, doll,” he groaned against your clit, the vibration sending delicious tingles down your spine.
Your legs wrapped around his head, fingers combing in his hair and tightening, pulling him closer to your core. He sucked your swollen clit, his tongue flicking over it, having your back arch and nails digging into his scalp.
“Oh, fuck. I’m gonna come. Don’t stop sucking my clit, baby,” you begged with desperate need as you practically rode his face, moving your hips as his lips stayed glued to your pussy.
He slid two fingers inside you, fucking you with them. The combination of his lips around your clit and thick fingers in your wet pussy had you gasping and drawing quick breaths.
“Come for me,” he growled, his voice harsh. You cried out as your orgasm ripped through you, your body shaking and your toes curling. Your walls throbbed against his fingers as he continued to fuck you through the bliss while his lips never lost connection with your engorged clit.
Bucky took a moment to admire your post-orgasm glow. With the way the light of the fire danced across you and the light sheen of sweat on your skin, he was enthralled by your beauty. His cock throbbed with need, balls tightening, precum leaking from the tip.
“You’re so beautiful,” he whispered breathlessly against your parted lips.
“Fuck me, please,” you whimpered, tangling your fingers in his hair.
He positioned himself at your quivering entrance, his tip teasing your drenched folds before thrusting forward, burying himself balls deep inside your tight walls with a heavy grunt. His cock filled you to perfection, making you cry out, and your legs wrapped around him, pulling him deeper inside.
“God, you’re so tight,” Bucky groaned with a shiver down his spine.
He started to move, his hips thrusting against yours, cock sliding in and out of your wet cunt, his balls slapping against your ass with each heavy thrust. Your hips moved in rhythm with his, your sensitive pussy clenching around his cock, moans and whimpers mingling with his grunts and groans.
“Don’t stop, baby,” you cried as you held onto him. Legs locked around his waist, hands tangling in his hair, nails scraping the back of his neck.
Laid down on the faux fur, he fucked you to perfection in front of the fireplace—warm and intimate. The logs crackled along as you built your earth-shattering bliss together.
He leaned down, his lips meeting yours, kissing you roughly and messy, tongues gliding against each other as he fucked you to oblivion.
You felt your orgasm approaching, your body tensing in preparation for a toe-curling release. “I’m gonna come,” you cried as your cunt clenched around his cock, body shuddering and legs trembling. Your eyes rolled, and toes curled at the heavenly bliss.
Bucky cursed as your orgasm hit, his face burying in your neck, biting softly on your flesh. With the way your cunt milked his cock and you begging for his cum, he couldn’t hold off any longer. His cock swelled, balls tightened, and with a harsh groan, his orgasm ripped through him, body shaking as he came, cum shooting deep inside your pussy, spurting and filling you up as you milked every last drop out of him.
“God, baby. You take my cock so well,” he murmured breathlessly, kissing you passionately, his cock still buried inside as you stayed kissing for a few moments until he finally slid out of your quivering and oversensitive pussy. Bucky’s cock twitched with each heartbeat, longing for you wrapped around him again.
He rolled onto his side, pulling you close to him, arm wrapping around your frame. You snuggled into him, your body still trembling from your orgasm, your mind reeling with the intensity of your lovemaking.
“Hmm, you sure know how to keep a girl warm and content, Bucky,” you purred, kissing his chest. Bucky hummed as he kissed your hair, expressing the same passion.
You closed your eyes, enjoying your shared post-orgasm bliss and the atmosphere of the fireplace. You felt safe and cherished in your bubble of intimacy, with Bucky’s strong arms holding you tight and his heart beating only for you.
Bucky pinched your chin, bringing your lips to his to share a heartfelt kiss. “I love you,” you uttered, smiling. “And I love you.” He kissed you gently once more before singing your body alive again with electric touches and passionate kisses, taking and loving you once more by the fireplace.
