(In response to my previous ask) Awesome! So I was reading your texts blog and came across the one set in T4 where Jin befuddles Hwoarang with Australian slang and I remembered that Marduk is Australian, and Jin was in Australia prior to the 4th tournament. Being an Aussie myself, I had a thought: "What if Jin asked Marduk to teach him Ozslang specificially to mess with Hwoarang?" And that thought is the premise of my request. Thank you for welcoming it and apologies for rambling.
Thanks for the request! Here's the text :)

well have you considered that maybe the unstoppable force is in love with the immovable object
maybe the reason one refuses to stop and the other refuses to move is because they both long for the collision

TEKKEN 8 XIAOJIN MOMENTS HOW WE FEELIN
So, I'll confess I already knew about it because I saw the leaks a couple days ago but didn't say anything to not spoil other peeps - sorry fandom, I'm too broke to freely spend 60 bucks on a game I lost a lot of hype for.
Aside from that... I guess the loss of hype and zero expectations rewarded me somehow, because WE ALL KNOW that's the closest we'll ever have to a... whatever we want to call it, lol.
Anyway, THAT made me very happy!
(Not adding anything else since the game dropped yesterday, but if ya all want to discuss something I'll add the spoiler break and tags to possible future posts!)

CHARACTER RELATIONSHIP ANALYSIS:
Jin Kazama & Devil Jin
Jin and Devil Jin are like twins who cannot stand each other, but they are bound together in life and death, and they still care for one another in very different ways, because they know they depend on each other. The reason why Devil Jin is "evil" (I'm saying this in quotes because the devil as a creature isn't aware of concept good vs evil, they are more like an animal that reacts to everything instinctively and on impulse) is because when they awakened, their host was dead, and death was the first way they came to life and in contact with the outside world, which is absolutely tragic in a way.
They seem to think that everything unknown to them surrounding their host is evil and must be eradicated in order to make world safe for both them and Jin, but also because they were "programmed" to hate humans as a part of their instinct, as they were created by Azazel as a tool for punishment against humanity.
Jin regards them as a nuisance and tries to get rid of them, thus running away from everyone, which only emphasises the Devil's own conclusion about the world being evil, while it is actually Jin fearing for everyone's lives because Kurou has been awakened and he has absolutely no idea what they can do when they take over his body and mind.
Devil Jin is what would be considered Jin's dark side - sadistic, impulsive, insane and ruthless, but what is the exact reason for that? The Kazama blood being mixed with the Mishima blood gives a very unstable final product - Jin Kazama, whose Kazama blood is so strongly devil-repelent that it retracts absolutely every single component from Jin's body and basically stops the blood from flowing - and by that way, when Devil Jin takes over, Jin technically dies, given the corpse-like pale tone that Jin's body gains when corrupted by the devil gene. It is only after it retreats that his heart starts to beat again as one of the Kazamas' unique trait - power of healing others and self-healing, as means of revival.
This would essentially explain why Jin is not aware of his actions when the devil gene possesses him, and given the fact that other people who know Jin have recognised this as well, it is only further confirmed that Jin Kazama and Devil Jin are not the same person.
They share the same body, but their souls and personalities are vastly different.
Jin loathes himself because of this, but because the Devil seems to not understand why their host loathes them, they blame it on other people, mainly the ones close to Jin, and often for the wrong reasons (such as Xiaoyu and Hwoarang).
This missunderstanding is the constant source of Jin's suffering and detoriorating mental state, as it continues on.
But as he spent a large amount of time in a coma, Jin was actually able to communicate with and even see his devil side, face to face.
They opened up their souls for the first time and came to realise who they truly were. They made amends and formed an unlikely alliance, but also swore to each other that if one were to betray another, they would both go down together.
And when Jin had finally awakened from the coma, he felt stronger - because Kurou actually started helping him for the first time by letting him use their powers and call them whenever he needed.
.
This was an analysis of Jin's and Devil Jin's relationship throughout the Tekken franchise, explained through my own lens and headcanons.
In my headcanon, the devil becomes much more self-aware and they develop a sense of their own self that they become a separate entity that is still part of the human Jin Kazama. And because of that, Jin gives them a nickname - Kurou, meaning "trouble", "hardship", as opposed to his name that means "benevolence".
They do not have a gender, nor do they comply to the human concept of gender - they reject it, as they view it as the act of humans trying to make their own rules regarding world, which they despise. Hence they claim they have no gender, which Jin partially understands, but still doesn't like their views.
This was my full analysis of the relationship between Jin and Devil Jin, as their bond is one of the few things in Tekken that intrigues me to no end and I sincerely hope this will be partially expanded upon in the upcoming game's story mode.
Thank you for reading!

Referring to various official media and the first Tekken game, Lee was probably obedient to Heihachi as a child. Compared to Kazuya, he was the one who listened to their father and tried to stay out of trouble. Lee also most likely tried to win over his affections. But I had this sad thought about him trying to tell his father "I love you," while Heihachi beat or punished him, as a way to plead him to stop. Lee wanted to show how he was trying his best, and that he was still thankful for being adopted. Kazuya, of course, thought it was stupid to do so but Lee hadn't gotten to know Heihachi as well yet.

I don't know if anyone else has pointed this out, but the idea of Yujiro Hanma, Kazuya Mishima and Akuma/Gouki co-existing is cosmically hilarious.
Out of The Devil, The Ogre, and The Demon, Akuma is almost a nice person by comparison.
Yujiro and Kazuya make Akuma seem like a humble vagrant with a violent side.
Akuma doesn't have many worldly possessions, he lives off the land, he doesnt covet wealth.
Kazuya wears expensive suits, lives in decadence whenever possible, controls giant corporations. Yujiro wears the same simple outfit everyday but he eats gourmet meals whenever he wants has expensive tastes, and stays at high-class hotels.
Akuma dedicates himself to becoming more powerful through violence but he doesn't involve civilians or attack indiscrimnately.
Kazuya wants world domination and will attack whoever. Yujiro, for fun, goes out looking for anyone who practices combat sports to brutalize and potentially cripple for life.
Akuma has no known children, ambivalent to kids.
Yujiro near systematically physically and mentally traumatized Baki for most of his early years. Yet he's still a better father than Kazuya because he tried to be one. Kazuya won't even say Jin's name.

GENERAL INFORMATION Family: Unnamed Mother, Unnamed Father, Unnamed Aunt Personality: Upbeat and bubbly by nature, she exudes a warm and welcoming aura to those around her. She tends to be a bit forward with her speech, which occasionally gets her in trouble from being nosy.
A semi-hopeless romantic, she tends to develop crushes easily and chase after them, even if it leads to extremely short-lived relationships. When she's not boy-hunting, she's reading romance manga or listening to her K-Pop / J-Pop groups.
Culinarily inclined, she's an excellent baker. She's a member of the home-ec club at Kuroran Academy and hopes to one day become a teacher on the subject.
HISTORY: Hailing from Fukuoka, Izumi moved to Kyoto with her mom to live with her maternal aunt after her parents' divorce. This was caused by her father being a workaholic and her mother feeling the pressures of acting as a single parent in a married household. Needing more emotional support, her mother decided to return to her native home in Kyoto and begin anew.
"It'll be a clean slate for us," her mother told her. "For you, and for me."
Entering her sixth year of elementary school, Izumi was transferred into Kuroran Academy's elementary division. Amongst all the students in her class, one of them stood out: a young girl with dark hair and fair skin, her eyes a warm shade of brown.
Introducing herself to this student, she instantly complimented on her beauty. Seeing the girl's reserved but gentle response, she then learned her name: Yukina Kurimoto.
From that day forward, Yukina and Izumi's friendship grew, blossoming into its form during the main story of White Moon Saga.
MISC

Her favorite manga series is called Lavender Hues
Despite her parents' divorce, she keeps a good relationship with her dad and visits him during winter break
She frequents idol shows and will drag Yukina along on occasion
