annie i have three words for you... i got you. i already told you this, but i am working on a “beginners guide to led zeppelin.” i planned on it being more giggles mainly, but i'm going back and adding a decent amount of information just for you

fun facts about led zeppelin and the beatles: led zeppelin were the band that beat the beatles record held for most attendance at a concert (55,000 people). on may 5, 1973 (and with no opening act) led zeppelin beat that record by having an attendance of 56,800 people. also! for the beatles movie ‘a hard days night’ jimmy page did the instrumental version of this boy that plays while ringo is wandering around. pretty rad. oh, and george harrison went to a led zeppelin party once and was thrown into a pool by john bonham.

i gotta say this before i begin though, led zeppelin is one of those bands where hardly anything gets confirmed or denied. at least nothing “controversial” or anything more than basic gets an answer to it. so sometimes you gotta take things with a grain of salt, and you gotta just have the mindset of “well this might not be true so I'm not gonna claim it as so.” with that being said i'll start with getting you into led zeppelin.

through the span of their short career led zeppelin had eight studio albums.

led zeppelin (january 1969)

led zeppelin ll (october 1969)

led zeppelin lll (october 1970)

led zeppelin lV (november 1971) this album technically doesn't have a name but we all call it ‘led zeppelin lV since it was the fourth album

houses of the holy (march 1973)

physical graffiti (February 1975)

presence (march 1976)

in through the out door (august 1979)

they also have a few live albums and compilation albums as well. but when people talk about led zeppelin albums they're mainly referring to these ones. i like all of their albums. i think they're all good. my personal favorites are the second and fourth albums. i do think that led zeppelins music isn't for everyone though. they're not as clean as some other bands are. I will list my favorite songs from each album.

led zeppelin: good times bad times, dazed and confused, babe i'm gonna leave you, communication breakdown, how many more times, i can't quit you baby

led zeppelin ll: whole lotta love, the lemon song, thank you, heartbreaker, moby dick, ramble on

led zeppelin ll: immigrant song, since i've been loving you, tangerine, that’s the way

led zeppelin lV: black dog, rock and roll, stairway to heaven, misty mountain hop, going to california, when the levee breaks, the battle of evermore

houses of the holy: the song remains the same, the rain song, over the hills and far away, the ocean, no quarter, dancing days

physical graffiti: the rover, houses of the holy, kashmir, ten years gone, trampled under foot

presence: for your life, achilles last stand

in through the out door: fool in the rain, all my love

i think all of these are good starter songs for someone just now getting into led zeppelin. i hope you like them! they have one movie, the song remains the same, and it’s weird but also good. it’s basically concert footage of their madison square garden show but there’s also cuts of little skits they made? idk how to describe it lol.

in my beginners guide post i'll write more about the members and go into more details and funny facts about them. right now i'll just briefly introduce you to them. to talk about led zeppelin you have to start with the yardbirds. jimmy page (zeppelin’s guitarist) was in the yardbirds until they broke up in 1968 and then jimmy started looking for his “super group.” him and Peter grant (zeppelin’s manager) started looking for the best of the best people. in 1968 led zeppelin was formed.

jimmy page is known as one of the best guitar players in rock history. he’s usually always in the top three listings. he was a session guitarist for a while and would fill in on people’s records. on Joe cocker’s version of ‘with a little help from my friends’ jimmy is playing the guitar on it. and he joined the yardbirds with eric clapton and jeff beck who are also listed as the best guitarists. he was a soft spoken, quiet dude. he seemed very shy and introverted. but then you read groupie stories about how he had whips, handcuffs, and razors. he was also given a lot of shit for studying crowley’s work, and was known for his “witchcraft ways.” he struggled with addiction (heroin and cocaine) and pulled himself through in the end. but he was, and still is, an amazing guitar player. he also produced all of zeppelin’s albums. so he’s an amazing producer as well. he got a lot of unnecessary hate and criticism back in the day (still does). and you can thank jimmy for all the newish led zeppelin stuff we get bc that’s all on him more than likely.

john paul jones is known as one of the best bassists in rock history. he was not only zeppelin’s bassist but also keyboardist. and he can play recorder as well. like jimmy, he was also a session musician. jimmy and jones knew of each other and when jones heard about jimmy putting a group together he called him. he was more of the serious member in a way. jimmy, bonham, and robert were more wild and would cause chaos. john paul jones would deadass book a room at another hotel and not tell anyone where he was. he just wasn't into that kind of thing. so I don't think he was really all that close to the other members. he felt left out a lot. him and john bonham were an amazing rhythm section. the best in history. they knew exactly what to do to stay in sync. he was also the one to find john bonham when he died. so that’s sad.

robert plant is known as one of the best vocalists in rock history. his voice is *chef kiss.* i love him. he wasn't jimmy’s first pick in a singer. in fact, jimmy’s first pick was the one who recommended robert to jimmy and also said that he looked like “a greek god.” robert plant is just about the most attractive man ever. jimmy liked roberts voice a lot but doubted his songwriting skills so was weary of him at first. robert had never written songs until joining led zeppelin. robert was the reason john bonham joined the group. him and bonham were best friends before the group even formed and remained that way until bonham’s death. robert also went through a lot of shit during led zeppelin’s timeline and honestly i'm so proud of him for getting through all of it. right now robert likes to act like he was never in led zeppelin though lmao.

john bonham is known as one of the best drummers in rock history. i’m not even kidding. his power behind the drums is mind-blowing. when he was approached by jimmy about the band he denied the offer. and continued to deny the offer bc he had a family to take care of, and didn't know how well this band would be. but it was robert plant who convinced him to join so they could play together. he loved his family very much (a wife and son who name is jason). he hated being away from them. he was known as the sweetest man ever unless he was drunk. the problem was that he was always drunk. he had a drinking problem. he did a lot of stupid shit when drunk. he died in 1980 after he had the equivalent of 40 shots of vodka and threw up in his sleep causing himself to choke. after he died, led zeppelin died as well.

after john’s death the band called it quits. they all like to say it’s because no other drummer would be able to compare to bonham. robert says that he loved john bonham too much and couldn't force himself to go out there and do a show without him as the drummer. robert plant is likely the reason we’ll never get another zeppelin reunion show. there were three reunion shows in the past. the first reunion was their live aid show which fucking sucks. john paul jones wasn't even informed about the event and ended up on keyboard instead of bass, jimmy was likely on drugs bc of how out of it he was, robert’s voice is awful, and the drummers hardly knew the material. it was a rushed show but it was for charity and i'm sure they made a lot of money. the last show being the celebration day reunion in 2007 where jason bonham (john’s son) played the drums. it’s a really really good show and i cry every time i watch it. you can watch the whole thing on youtube. still to this day it’s evident that jimmy, Jason, and jones would love to do a reunion show again.

led zeppelin is one of the few groups that can say all of their members were just about the best at what they did. each member will always be in the top ten rankings for lists of the best artists/musicians. that’s really impressive. they were really, really good together. I hope this was a good starter post!

-so, Luke has seen you all around school and he’s had a crush on you since like first year but never told anybody

-plus, you’re always around Hood and Clifford

-yes, you arent technically dating Hood or Clifford but Luke wouldn’t be surprised if maybe you were secretly dating Hood or Clifford

-Hufflepuff!Ashton noticing Luke noticing you one day at breakfast

-Like, Luke’s eyes keep shifting over Ash’s shoulder and finally Ash just turns around and sees you laughing with your friends

-he turns back to Luke and is like “Y/N’s cute.”

-Luke gets all stammery and blushy and Ashton knows he’s hit a bullseye

-Ashton actually knows you through Quidditch, like usually Slytherin’s dont talk to Hufflepuffs much but you and Ashton have always had hella respect for each other and after matches when you shake hands for good game, you actually mean it

-but for dinner you go sit with Ashton and Luke nearly has a heart attack when you take the seat across from him

-the next day, you come sit next to Ashton again. Michael comes over and sits next to Luke who is still freaking out and Cal trudges along then sits next to you, refusing to really look or talk to Ashton

-you begin to talk to Luke and he manages to actually speak to you without his tongue getting tied in knots

-you all leave to go to classes

-during the day Luke freaks out again when you sit next to him in a class

-he’s always known you were in that class with him but you’ve never sat next to him

-poor Luke having heart attacks left right and centre over this shit

-”so this whole thing is real right? i mean, Ashton isnt just going to let the week go by and then say he’s the great guy he wants to set me up with right?” “no, it’s not Ashton.” “okay cool, i would not be able to stand it if it was.”

-Luke has always been kinda scared of you

-you generally look like a typical Slytherin

-you stick to your house

-you have a resting bitch face

-and you seem to excel at everything you set your mind to

-you walk around school with Cal and Michael and people move out of your way

-and yet here you are, siting next to him, a Hufflepuff

-and people are noticing

-you’re actually being so nice to him?

-Luke is even more into you and its freaking him out

-you have a Quidditch match between Hufflepuff and Slytherin. you, Cal and Ashton are all playing so Luke of course goes to watch

-Michael sits down next to him

-Luke tries not to keep his eyes on you the whole time but its really hard

-”so i know you’re the guy Ashton wants to set Y/N up with.” Michael states mid game

-Luke gets flustered

-”don’t worry Puff boy, i’ve been friends with Y/N a long time. yeah, im a Slytherin but that doesn’t make me an asshole. Y/N means a lot to me and i think you’d be good for her.”

-Luke being so shook by Michael’s acceptance

-”But Cal? he’s not going to like it.” Michael laughs, “i’ll talk to him for you.”

-”does Y/N, does she know?” Luke asks.

-”no but she’s thought you’re cute since year two so you’re good.”

-Luke can’t help but smile at that. you’ve found him cute for years?! what?!

-”so are you cheering for Slytherin or Hufflepuff?” Michael asks, changing the subject

-then Michael pulls out a Slytherin scarf and is just like “It’s Y/N’s, i usually wear it because we’re buds but i’m wearing Cal’s right now so maybe you want to wear her’s unless it will betray your house or something.”

-of course Luke wears it

-he forgets he’s wearing it (which Michael had planned all along) and ends up going down to the pitch after the game to congratulate Ashton and bumps into you

-”hey, is that my scarf?”

-”oh, um, Michael gave it to me, i’m so sorry-” he begins to stammer, taking it off

-”no, keep it for a bit, you look good in green.” you grin

-you turn to go and this little Hufflepuff is just freaking out but he’s like “Y/N, do you want to go out with me sometime?”

-he can see it all click in your eyes as you realize he’s the guy Ash is setting you up with.

-”i dont know Luke, are you sure Ashton has deemed me fit to date you?” you tease

-Luke stammers and you grin, grabbing his hand, “i’m joking Luke. Slytherins do that sometimes. i’d love to go on a date with you.”

-you leave before he can give you your scarf back and Michael is just like “you did it bud!”

-you meet Cal outside the change room and he’s just like “are you actually going on a date with that Hufflepuff?”

-”Luke’s nice.” you state.

-”as long as you’re not dating Irwin.” Calum shrugs

-Luke comes and meets you outside the Slytherin common room, he’s fidgeting with your green scarf and looks up with a grin when he realizes you’re standing there, “you look beautiful.” “Luke i wear this every day.” “i know.” “wow, i didn’t realize Hufflepuffs were sweet talkers.”

-he has to like plan a few things to say because otherwise he gets flustered

-the two of you walking through the school and people move out of your way, something Luke has never experienced

-and they’re all looking at him

-Hufflepuffs and Slytherins don’t date usually

-let alone you, the Slytherin Princess? nah, people always assumed you’d end up with Cal or Michael as a second choice, no one would ever have guessed you’d even entertain the idea of dating outside your house

-the two of you are walking down the Hogsmeade and your hands keep brushing until you just intertwine your fingers

-”you know, green looks good on you, but you’re even cuter when you’re red.” you tease about his blushing

-Luke stops walking and makes you face him “why are you such a Slytherin?” “why are you such a Hufflepuff?” “would a Hufflepuff do this?” he asks and grabs your face, pressing his lips to yours

-melting into the kiss

-he’s so soft, nothing like the Slytherin’s you’ve been with

-he pulls away and the entire power dynamic has changed

-now you’re blushing

-and he’s looking like the most certain and confident Hufflepuff you’ve ever seen

-you’re both shocked that you just spent like four hours talking?

-he grabs your hand and the two of you begin to walk back up to the school

-cute little dates continue and you find yourselves sitting next to each other in most classes

-holding his hand under the table where people can’t see

-stolen kisses in deserted corridors where you know his heart is just racing because he doesn’t want to get caught

-a lot of “calm down Hufflepuff, we’re good, don’t worry.”

-going to a date and he’s just like “it’s a scavenger hunt.” and you just roll your eyes at him “you’re such a Hufflepuff.” “well i’m not the one who’s going to be doing the finding.”

-its some elaborate hunt that includes Michael and Ashton and surprisingly even Cal rolls his eyes and gives you some cheesy hint that he couldn’t be bothered to remember so it’s written on his hand

-the hunt ends on the Quidditch pitch where he asked you out for the first time

-”do you maybe want to be my girlfriend? i mean, if you don’t its okay, you’re a Slytherin and i’m just-” cutting him off with a kiss and then pulling away with a smile, “you’re my Hufflepuff.”

-he just melts

-he’s never been so proud to be a Hufflepuff before

-he’s your Hufflepuff

-come on fam, melt with me just a little

-being able to walk down the hallways holding hands for everyone to see

-people are still shook that you and Luke are together

-but all it takes is a view of the way you smile and laugh with him and it makes sense

-yeah, you’re still hardcore and people can’t mess with you but with Luke you’re so soft and its the sweetest thing

-this boy is the epitome of soft and its so sweet

-like him getting you flowers or writing poems about you

-Luke wearing your scarf at Quidditch matches and sitting with Michael who is actually such a hard core shipper of the two of you

-Michael and Ashton fighting over who got you and Luke together

-”i’m the one who made them talk more.” “yeah well i’m the one who gave him her scarf which led to him asking her out!”

-(tbh if you and Luke ever get married, part of you wants to suggest Luke chooses Cal as best man just to piss of Michael and Ashton because they fight about this way too much)

-one day Calum and Michael each sit on either side of Luke and they’re both just like “so if a Hufflepuff and a Slytherin have sex, which one of you makes concessions for what type of sex it is?” and Luke nearly dies

-”i mean, Slytherin’s can be into some pretty kinky shit.” Michael exchanges a grin with Cal before they both turn to Luke, “so are you a puff in the streets a snake in the sheets or is she a snake in the streets a puff in the sheets?”

-it honestly kind of depends on a lot of stuff. like, at first, the sex was always loving and passionate but as your relationship continued and Luke got more comfortable he was down to try new things

-”come on Ashton, arent you even slightly curious about what they do when they sneak off?” “no i’m not. because Luke talks to me.” “LUKE TELLS YOU WHAT THE SEX IS LIKE?!”

-Cal and Michael trying to suck up to Luke so he’ll open up but he sees right through them

-”i don’t know why you two care so much.” you say one day, “and i don’t know why you don’t just ask me what its like.” “because you know how to lie, Luke doesn’t.”

But I really love this one: When I was little I grew up in a village in which like 300-400 people lived (maximum) and next to us lived this sweet older couple who always gave us sweets and vegetable for our parents, or they brought us stuff from when they went on vacation. The man is now constantly sick, he suffers from parkinson and you see the early statges of dementia setting in. A while ago he wanted to go and get the German version of fish and chips with his wife but due to him needing a ton of surgeriesw constantly he wasnt able to go out with his wife. When my mom told me this I was like wtf u cant just tell me this, I’m too soft. So I went and got fish and chips from the best market around us for him and flowers for his wife, despite the fact that I havent seen them in YEARS. When I arrived at their front door both of them hugged me and cried a bit

I was tagged by the awesomest @princess-shurii to do this a looong time ago. Thanks for tagging me, love, I love and miss you <3

1. What was your latest good dream about?

I literally never have good dreams. Ever. But I’ve been having nightmares for, like, the past two weeks and only yesterday I dreamt that my favorite cat tried to murder me after I didn’t let her murder a bird? (Yes, I have issues, I know).

2. What is the place where you feel content?

My home. My mum’s arms. My room. All of the above.

3. Name something and/or someone that/who makes you happy

Something: Books, flowers, dresses, chocolate.

Someone: My friends and family. Dean Winchester.

4. Name one thing that makes you proud of yourself

That’s a hard one, but I think I’m kind of proud of myself for not being afraid of being alone.

5. What’s the weirdest thing you did recently?

Read while walking. Don’t do it, folks, it’s dangerous.

6. Book or fanfic you fell in love with? Why?

Ugh, this is like the hardest question in the world because I love reading. So.

Books: I have so, so many books I love and hold close to my heart but I’m going to mention my top 5 or so. One Day by David Nicholls is my number one. It’s just such a beautiful, poetic, multi-layered yet realistic love story about love and Nicholls is a master of words (and @trexrambling says I kind of write like him and that’s the best compliment ever). Where Rainbows End by Cecelia Ahern because I’m a sucker the whole best friends to lovers trope and this book is so brilliantly written (all in the form of e-mails, text messages, IMs, no dialogue, no narration and yet, it makes us travel to the deepest parts of the characters’ soul). The Great Gatsby, obviously, along with How To Kill A Mockingbird. Peter’s Long Walk by Greek author Alki Zei is also one of my favorites. I first read it when I was a child and it’s just stuck with me for so long. Me Before You by JoJo Moyes for all its brilliance and humor and emotion. I also recently read Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult and I really, really think that everyone else should, too. It’s so incredibly well-done, so polyphonic and it says so many things about racism and widens your horizons. I absolutely fell in love with it. A Man Called Ove by Frederick Backman because it made me laugh and cry and fall in love with the softest, grumpiest, sweetest and weirdest literary hero in the world. The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks because while he’s not the best writer, Allie’s and Noah’s love story is quite epic and every time I read it I’m reminded of my grandmother. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer because do you have any idea how incredibly well-planned and brilliant and detailed and emotive it is? Before I Go by Collen Oakley because it’s raw and deep and honest and beautiful and Rupi Kaur’s poetry books because she’s amazing. (I have more, but I’m guessing this is too much already, so I’ll just stop now)

Fanfics: I’ve read so many fanfics that have shaped me into the writer I am today and have etched their way into my heart. Just from the top of my head I’m going to mention Broken and Ephemeral by @atwistoffate as two of the best stories I have ever read, Through Your Eyes and Used To This by @trexrambling One More Day, Sacrifice and Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich (the one that got me into writing SPN fanfiction) by @percywinchester27, For The Best and As I Lay Dying by @deanwritings, anything by @supernaturalfreewill tbh, Hold The Line and Bright And Warm by @lipstickandwhiskey Unspoken by @wheresthekillswitch, Fragments by @torn-and-frayed, Now And Then I Get A Little Lost and Don’t You Forget About Me by @sunlightdances and Forward by @blacktithe7. I’m probably forgetting people as well, but I’ve had a very hard day so, please, forgive me.

7. Name an animal or plant you love

Hmmm. I love deers and squirrels. And sunflowers. They are such happy flowers.

8. What’s the strangest fact you know?

Almost 40.000 Americans are injured by toilets each year. I don’t know how. Don’t ask me.

9. If you could be a planet or a constellation, what would you be?

Pegasus because being a flying horse is frigging amazing.

10. What are your thoughts about aliens?

Honestly, I dunno. I think we can’t be the only ones in this enormous universe, do I believe they’re green and have long antennas? Probably not.

A/N: I hope you like it so far! I plan on making this a two part series (depending on the next part, we could get three). This first part might not be as good as this is my first time writing for Steve, but I want to make the second part more deep so please be patient! haha hope you like it!

P.S. I finished the show “Star” and Brittany O’Grady has been my latest obsession, she’s really great in broadway productions and acting in drama, so I had to make a gif of her and use it for this story.

“I’m coming!” you called, jogging down the hall toward the kitchen, nearly tripping over a heap of hockey gear. You rolled your eyes and shoved the pile to the side with your foot, muttering under your breath about how messy 12 year old boys were.

You entered the kitchen were your aunt stood stirring a pot of something, probably a new experimental dish.

“Did you need something?” You asked as she had called to you only moments ago.

“Oh yes dear!” She said twirling around, her cheeks rosy from the warmth of the stove. “Dusty went out to look for mewsy but it’s getting dark and I’m a little worried.”

Ever since the youngest Byers boy had gone missing the year before all parents seemed a little on edge.

Your family was having some financial issues so to help take off some stress your aunt had offered to take you in. You weren’t new to Hawkins, in fact you visited every summer since you were three.

“You want me to go look for him?” You asked, already pulling on your coat that had been sitting over the kitchen chair. “I think I know where he is.”

Whenever Dustin dragged you along with him you’d go to this junkyard and help him look through the scraps. You’d look for cool things to make Star Wars replicas with and things like that.

“Can I borrow the car?” You asked your aunt, who was probably the sweetest woman on the face of the earth.

“Sure thing sweetie, the keys are by the front door.” She said as she continued to stir the...soup? The woman wasn’t the best cook but you’d never tell her that.

You squinted as you tried to navigate through the fog, the headlights barely making a difference.

The car struggled to get up the hill, the tires had hardly any grip on the dirt backroads. You recognized the old school bus, from what you could tell and pulled over.

You hugged yourself as the air was cool and the fog thick.

“Dustin?” You called out, your eyes squinting through the fog. “Dustin are you out here?”

A hand wrapped around your mouth, you trashed around in their grip.

“Stop it’s me.” A voice said, you were too scared to process whose it was.

You jerked backward as more hands grabbed and pulled you into the school bus. You fell to the floor of the bus from the force of who ever was tugging at you.

“Y/N what the hell are you doing here.” Dustin said crouching next to you.

You gave him a bewildered look, as if you were in the wrong. You looked around to see the three others who accompanied your younger cousin. You recognized Lucas, he’d gotten a little taller but looked otherwise the same. He gave you a little wave, you returned with a nod.

“What am I doing here?” You said a little angry now. “What am I doing? What are you doing Dustin? Your moms worried sick, it’s dark out. The least you could say is ‘thanks Y/N for making sure I wasn’t dead in a ditch.”

Dustin shoved a hand in your face, using his other to motion up and down.

“Keep your voice down, they are going to hear you.” Dustin warned, Lucas nodding in agreement.

You rolled your eyes and swatted his hand away.

“Listen if this is some dungeon and dragons shit I’m going to-“

“It’s not.” The same voice from earlier said, now realizing you never noticed who it was. Steve Harrington stood with a serious look on his face, a baseball bat with nails hammered through it resting on his shoulder.

“Steve?” You asked, now completely confused with a horrified expression plastered on your face.

The summer before he and Nancy Wheeler got together you had shared your first kiss with him. Not only that but you had become good friends that summer, and to find out from Dustin that Steve was now with Nancy hurt quite a bit.

“Okay that’s it,” You said throwing your hands up in defeat. “I’m going home, have fun playing your little games. Get a ride from Babe Ruth over here.”

“Babe?” Steve repeated with eyebrows raised.

“The baseball player dumbass!” You explained, trying to get around steve.

“Y/N, no! I’m being serious, you can’t go out there. If you leave I’ll never- Uh- never talk to you again.” Dustin threatened, frantically trying to block the door to the bus. “I’ll eat all your mint ice cream!”

You rolled your eyes giving him irritated sigh.

“Are you being serious right now?” You said, finally surrendering to his silly attempts to make you stay.

“They are being serious, I didn’t believe them at first but they are.” The red head girl piped up, dustin rolled his eyes.

“No one asked you, why are you even here” he snapped, completely out of character and out of line.

You smacked the back of his head, obviously not aggressively or too hard but just to snap him out of his attitude.

“Why are you being such a dick?” You scolded, becoming motherly.

“Ow, jeez Y/N!” Dustin said, adjusting the hat you had nearly taken off.

You sat at the back of the bus, one knee bent as the other leg extended off the seat. You fiddled with the fraying thread on the knee of your jeans, waiting for whatever the fuck was going on to be over. You weren’t sure why you decided to say, it wasn’t like you really believed the bullshit story they were feeding you. You convinced yourself it was just something to do, considering you read every single one of Dustin’s comics and there was no way you were actually going to do homework,

“Hey.” Steve said, taking a seat across from you. Your chest tightened, feeling nervous around him for whatever reason.

“Hi.” You said without looking up, now picking at the nail polish on your thumb.

Steve shifted uncomfortably, turning his bat around in his hands.

“So, how’ve you been?” He asked, glancing up from his hands to see if you were going to look at him.

“Shitty.” You said with a shrug. “I didn’t have much of a choice moving here, my grades are pretty crappy and I’m pretty sure you are all lying to me about whats really going on.”

Steve ran his tongue along his bottom lip before letting out a dry laugh.

“If you knew, you’d lose your shit.” He said a playful grin on his face.

You moved to the edge of your seat, your knees now nearly touching his.

“Would I?” You asked, returning the look. “I don’t know Harrington, living in New York makes you see some pretty bizarre things.”

As he was about to say something in return, he took a double take at your outfit.

“Nice sweater.” He said, his grin now twisting into a smirk .

Your eyebrows furrowed as looked down at the sweater you wore underneath your denim jacket.

“Thanks?” You replied, wondering what Steve was on about.

Steve turned toward you, elbows on his knees his chin resting on top of his hands in a prayer like position.

“You don’t remember do you?” He asked, the corners of his mouth still pulled upward.

You shook your head laughing still not understanding what was going on.

“That’s my sweater, remember? I gave it to you when you were cold, like two, summers ago.” He explained, a proud look on his face.

You reached behind your head and pulled at the nape of your hoodie, pulling it as far as you could to the side to get a better look at the tag.

“shit” you thought to yourself. You had kept his sweater, never really making an effort to give it back. You had worn it to bed a few times, because it was warm, not because you missed Steve or anything like that...that would be weird.

You saw the “S.H” written in a faded sharpie on the tag, now having no way to get around this mess.

“Oh shit, you’re right” You said scratching the back of your neck. “Do you want it back?”

His chin held high and clearly smug about the idea you still had and wore his hoodie. You looked away from him, tapping your knees as you tried to find somewhere else to give your attention to.

“How’s Nancy?” You asked, finally returning his gaze. “Dustin mentioned you guys are going steady.”

“Going steady?” Steve said giving you an amused look. “I didn’t know we were living it up in the 50’s”

You gave his shoulder a shove, now laughing with him.

“Says Elvis Presley himself” You quipped, playfully reaching up to mess up his hair, in which he caught your wrist still laughing himself.

“Not the hair!” He dramatically exclaimed, falling backwards on the seat. Pulling you down with him, you rolled off his chest and onto the floor with a thud.

“Would you two stop making out for five minutes and keep your voices down.” Dustin whisper yelled, giving Steve an annoyed look.

“Yeah Steve keep it down.” You mocked between laughs, placing a finger over your lips to jokingly scold Steve.

The two of you regained some composure and just sat in silence for awhile.

“Listen, I’m sorry I stopped writing to you. Things just sort of got busy here, a lot was going on.” Steve tried to explain, a mixture of guilt and regret on his face.

You looked up from under your eyelashes, your mouth in a hard line.

“You don’t have to explain yourself to me, Steve, it’s fine. It’s not like we were together.” You sadly admitted. You arms crossed tightly as you glared out the window, although there wasn’t much to look at.

Steve let out a whistle, tapping his foot as the atmosphere was getting more and more awkward.

“I guess karma got me,” he announced, this grabbing your attention. “Nancy dumped me...pretty sure for Jonathan Byers.”

Your eyebrows tilted upward sympathetically, the hurt evident on Steve’s face. From what you knew of Nancy, she seemed pretty nice, and you only knew the surface of the situation so you weren’t going to pass judgements on her too quickly.

“That’s...rough man.” You said, patting his knee in a poor attempt to show your sympathy. “If it’s meant to be, it’ll be...right?”

“Thanks?” Steve responded giving you a funny look.

Lucas climbed up onto the roof of the bus acting as the lookout, You and Steve joined Max and Dustin closer to the front. Steve flicked the lighter on and off, the clicking slowly driving you up the wall.

“So you really fought one of these things before?” Max asked as she watched Steve mess around with the lighter. “And you're, like, totally 100% sure it wasn’t a bear?

Before Steve could answer your younger cousin piped in, almost aggressively.

“Shit. Don’t be an idiot. Okay? It wasn’t a bear. Why are you even here if you don’t believe us? Just go home.” He snapped at Max who had done nothing to provoke this behaviour. This obviously pushed her away as she now joined Lucas on the roof.

You sat across from Steve watching in horror at Dustin’s behaviour, your lips pursed and your eyelids fluttering quickly in disbelief.

“That’s good.” Steve complimented, clearly impressed. “Just show her you don’t care.”

“I don’t,” Dustin said shortly, Steve shooting back a wink.

You were pissed off, to say the least, not only by Dustin’s behaviour but Steve’s encouragement of it.

“Um excuse me?” You questioned, eyebrow raised at the boys. “But what the fuck was that? What the hell has gotten into you?”. Dustin rolled his eyes, slumping in the seat where Max had sat before.

“You wouldn’t get it.” He explained, his hands balled into small fists.

You stood up from your seat and walked over to him, hands placed firmly on your hips.

“Yeah? Why is that? Last time I checked I’m a girl, and I know for a fact that girls don’t like being treated like shit.” You snapped, clearly upset by how he was treating Max.

“I don’t know what Mr Casanova has been telling you, but from a girls perspective, you’re acting like a tool.”

Before either of them could respond to you, the eerie sound of some sort of wailing animal cut the conversation short.

Steve and Dustin scrambled to the window, peaking through the blinders, watching the fog for movement. Your arms rested on their shoulders, now joining their gaze.

“What the hell is that?” You whispered, your stomach buzzing with nerves.

“What’s it doing,” Dustin said, his eyes not moving away from the fog.

Your fingers moved toward the window, clutching the grate that covered it. You analyzed the creature that moved around in the distance.

“It looks like a big lizard, like a Komodo dragon. You know those things with the poisonous spit? From Indonesia, I think.” You rambled on, trying to wrap your head around what was happening.

“He’s not taking the bait, why isn’t he taking the bait?” Steve asked.

“Maybe he’s not hungry,” Dustin replied, both breathing rather heavily.

“Maybe it’s sick of cow.” Steve said backing up, eyes fixed on the creature.

Steve grabbed his bat, Dustin following after him with concern. You came to your senses and realized what Steve was doing.

“Steve, you can’t go out there.” You said, now closely behind him.

“Be ready.” He said dismissing your concerns, tossing Dustin the lighter.

Steve hesitantly stepped out, making his way carefully toward the pile of raw beef that laid a few feet away from the bus.

As he taunted the creature you could hear Lucas muttering about something on the roof, you climbed the later to see what was going on.

“Holy shit there’s more of them.” He said frantically. “Steve, Steve there’s more!”

You quickly climbed down the latter, jumping from the third step. You got on the floor and crawled, looking for a weapon to help Steve.

“What are you doing?” Dustin asked, peeling his eyes away from the scene unfolding before them.

“Buses.” You said with a gasp. “Buses they-they have emergency axes in case the bus flips on its side.”

Your hands reached around under the spot where the bus driver seat was, although it was lopsided and a falling apart. Your hands now coated in dust and grime as you wildly rummaged around.

“Got it.” You said getting up as you pulled the axe out and up with you.

Without hesitation you ran off the bus, quietly closing the door behind you, careful not to alert any of the creatures that had begun to lurk around Steve.

You got into a low crouched position, keeping the chances of detection low. Crawling on top of the nearest cars hood, you slowly inching yourself further onto the windshield. You cringed every time the glass cracked under your weight, already weak from the cracks created over time.

You caught a glimpse of one of the lizard demo-thingy’s, its tail waving around as it focused on its prey.

It was getting the upper hand on Steve, but you had the upper hand on it. You got to your feet, careful not to lose balance. You let out a slow breath, trying to calm down before swinging the axe and slicing into the demodog.

This now taking the attention off of Steve and onto you.

“Shit.” You said as the dogs began closing in on you, gooey blood dripping down the handle of your axe. “Shit. Shit. Shit.”

Steve regained his composure and began swinging at the demodogs that had begun toward you, allowing a window of time for you to sprint to his side and help mow down the creatures.

Richie? Part 3 final

Heeelllloooo after days of trying to juggle writing, school, and actually sleeping I have finished part 3 this is will be the final part and to tell you the truth, this is the first story I have ever finished so im kinda proud of my self.

Low-key Stan x reader vibes sorry not sorry

Part 1 Part 2

Mike looked up to his friends

“El.” Realisation washed over the boys faces. You look up confused.

“She’s Mike’s girlfriend we were supposed to be waiting for her at the house.” The boy with curly hair explained.

“Im Dustin by the way, that’s Lucas, Will, and Mike.” Dustin pointed to each boy. You smile hearing the name Mike.

“I have a friend named Mike back home.” You pull yourself up from the ground.

“Well when we get back home you can tell us all about your friends, Im sure you miss them” Mike says. They all get on their bikes and Dustin turns to you.

“Come on you can ride with me” You hop on and say thanks. As you’re riding and you get closer to your house you ask Dustin to stop.

“I’ll be right back!” You yell as you run into your house. You run upstairs and touch up your eyeliner having cried most of it off. After, you go downstairs and grab your own bike and head out

“Alright let’s go”

We get back to the house and run downstairs following the boys. A girl with curly hair was sitting on the couch. Her face lit up when she saw her friends

“Mike”

“Hey El this is (Y/N), she’s new in town.” The girl named El seemed less than impressed, but honestly you feel the same way about meeting people today, and everyday to be honest. You give a small smile and a wave. She returns the small smile and turns her attention back to Mike.

“She’ll warm up to you it just takes some time.” Will explains. You nodded.

You guys spend the next two hours or so talking about various things, school and stuff like that. They even tried to teach you a little bit about DnD. You told them about Derry and your friends and how it’s kinda nice that you now have people to talk to about all the geeky stuff you were into like Star Wars and comic books. Stan would listen while bird watching but didn’t really have anything to say, and Richie was more into the arcade which you also took joy from. Bill was into movies but not all the same ones you were into, so it was nice to have people like the same superhero’s and comic books as you do. You luckily got to avoid anything about Richie’s death. You couldn’t stand having to lie to everyone about what really happened. Richie died a brave hero trying to help save his friends, but all anybody would know was that his foot missed a branch and he tragically fell out of a tall a tree the wrong way. And the boys relieved that they didn’t yet have to explain anything about the Demogorgan or the upside down, but of course that wouldn’t last long in Hawkins.

When the time came around to take more evil the truth on both sides was revealed leaving alot of people in shock. The next summer your mom and dad surprised you with a trip back to Derry. You were ecstatic to be able to see your friends again. As soon as you told Stan that you were coming back for two whole weeks he knew that he absolutely had to finally ask you out on a date, something all the losers has tried to get him to do countless times before Richie died and before you found out you were leaving. He was so discouraged when you had decided to meet up at park, him about to ask you on a date, when you told him you were moving. He knew that this was his only chance not knowing when you would be back again. When you had gotten back to Derry you found out you would be staying at Bill’s which you were very happy about. Those two weeks were the happiest any of you had been since Richie passed. You hung out with Mike at the farm for a day which was super fun. You all had a movie night over at Bill’s which ended in you falling asleep first with your head on little Stanley’s lap. You guys did everything you would usually do back in the good ol days. You all updated each other on you lives during a trip to the quarry. They were suprised to hear what you all had gone through back in Hawkins. They all asked if I had a picture of Mike. You had told them the story of the first time you saw Mike and when they heard you were coming back for a visit they told you to bring a photo. You told them it was with your stuff over at Bill’s, so you got dressed and headed over to his house. When you got to the room you were sleeping in, that used to be Georgie’s room, you head over to you bag and pull out a picture of Mike, Jonathan let you take on his camera. Mike obviously didn’t know you had taken it. He was just talking to Will, but it was still a good photo

“Holy sh-shit” Eddie grabbed the photo,

“Wow he really does look like him.” They all pass around the photo, your attention more grasped on something else in the bag.

“You kept his glasses” Eddie said softly sitting down next to you.

“I have his Freese’s shirt sitting in my drawer.” He admits

“One time when the boys were hanging in my room Mike had found them on my desk and put them on. When I turned around I nearly had a heart attack.” You laugh a bit.

Two days before you had to leave was your date with Stan, he set up a little picnic by the quarry knowing it’s one of, if not your favorite place in Derry. It was the sweetest thing anybody had ever done for you and you couldn’t keep the smile off you face. You and Stan had a crush on each other since anyone can remember. You always say next to each other at lunch ever since Kindergarten, back then you would even hold hands every recess on the play ground. In second grade you would share kisses on the cheek, and finally in fifth grade shared your first actual kiss. So to say that this was long awaited was a bit of an understatement. It was the best afternoon and you just wish Richie could have been been here, him being you and Stan's number one supporter. Needless to say you guys were inseparable the next two days.

Before you were to leave Stan was keeping you company while you packed. Mostly so he could slip a letter inside your bag, but also to do this. You felt a hand on your shoulder and when you turned Stan placed his hand on your cheek and brought his lips to meet yours. You felt pure bliss kissing back the curly headed boy. You pulled away when you heard you mother aww. Both you and Stan turned away blushing.

“I’m gonna miss you so much” Stan sighed.

“Me too, Stanley"You rest your head on his shoulder and he wraps his arms you. A few moments pass the Stan speaks up.

"We should go downstairs” And you do just that, Stan offering to carrying to your bags and doing so anyway when you tell him you can handle it. And just like last year you hug all the losers goodbye this time giving a Stan another kiss.

When you get back to Hawkins your friends await your arrival at your door step.

“Hey! Welcome Home!” Lucas engulfs you in a hug along with rest of the boys, Max and El.

“Alright, alright give a girl a little room to breathe!” You laugh. You all go upstairs to your room where you empty your bags on your bed eager to put everything back where it belongs and throw your clothes in the laundry.

“Oooh what’s this.” Mike teases.

“Oh look it’s from Stan” Dustin clings the envelope to his chest falling dramatically on to your bed.

“What? Give me that!” You snatch it out of his hands. A white envelope with

Neatly written on the front. A smile graces your face. Your first instinct is to open it right away, but you though it best to do so in private, so you put it down on your desk next to Richie’s glasses.

“Oh no you are opening that now” Max says picking it back up handing it to. You think for a second then open it. The first thing you notice is picture. You pull it out and see it a photo of you and Stan on your date at the quarry You knew the rest of the group did a little sitting and know you knew to thank Mike later for a photo you would cherish forever.

“ Oh my gosh is that you guys on a date?” Max gushes. You nod blushing.

“Little creeps were spying on us” You saying jokingly. Next item in the envelope was of course a letter.

chapter 17:

this is fully just a feenie and alice fight and tbh feenie is so in the wrong it’s ridiculous

“[Ryan] thinks we ditched you last night.”

“You did ditch me.” She laughed a little.

“Yeah. Well. Anyway, just call him.”

Alice couldn’t even pretend to be mad. Ryan had to be the sweetest person on the planet and besides, it had all worked out. “So you’re just not going to apologize?” she joked.

“Are you going to apologize?” Feenie shot back.

“For what?”

“For fucking leaving.”

(Ah, there it was.)

(Damn it.)

“Um, well, not to be petty, but you left me first.”

“We went upstairs. You actually left the party. That is not the same thing.” She looked Alice right in the eyes. “I’m not going to apologize for having sex with my boyfriend when you fucking jumped ship the first chance you got because you couldn’t stand being alone for thirty minutes. Miss me with that bullshit.”

so she’s telling takumi about the fight and feenie and ryan and:

“Tell me about them. What do you like most?”

“Ryan is the literal light of my life. I don’t think I’ve ever met someone as considerate and driven as him. He’s all-around amazing. And Feenie, well, she’s my oldest friend and soulmate. Her word, not mine, but I believe it,” Alice said before laughing at a random memory that popped into her head. “When we were little, people used to call us Ebony and Ivory, which is kind of offensive now that I’m thinking about it.”

“But she’s dating Ryan? And you’re okay with that?” The back end of her taco fell onto her plate with a small bit of it landing on her shirt. Takumi passed her some napkins.

“Oh, it’s not like a romantic kind of soulmate,” she said, dabbing her shirt. “Feenie’s pretty hardcore, but she has her sentimental moments. Once she said if reincarnation were real, we’d meet each other in every single life because nothing can keep us apart. We’re meant to be.”

He looked confused. “If you’re soulmates, aren’t you supposed to be in love with each other? That’s how it works.”

“I suppose it could be romantic or whatever, but she has Ryan. They’re meant to be right now, but we’re meant to be forever, if that makes sense.”

He finished chewing before saying, “Not really.”

Feenie took longer to come around. No one mentioned anything, let alone apologized. Her simply consisted of asking Alice if Family Night for that week could be on Thursday. When she had learned Alice had been hiding at Takumi’s, she curiously had nothing to say, no questions to ask, no teasing jokes to make Alice squirm.

yk tho for real feenie is a really well written character...like alice, you want to like her, but part of you also wonder if the relation has played its course, which is heartbreaking. nice job 10/10

anyway she and ryan are hanging out and takumi called her from a bar for a ride lol he’s hammered

and ryan like...really really tried to get her to not leave again and she kissed him on the cheek again? and before i was like, aw, cute, how platonic! and now i am Wary of both ryan and feenie. like is he emotionally cheating on feenie with her...is that a thing...i don’t like it

OH SHIT back at his house he’s gotten kind of rambly and:

“If you were dating someone, and you knew they loved you with their whole heart, had absolutely no doubts about it, could you cheat on them?”

Obviously, that question sent her mind into overdrive, connecting all the dots. A roommate who moved out suddenly. A part-time job to cover his rent. Essie telling her he’s single “now.”

Takumi had a someone.

A someone who had, apparently, cheated on him.

Cheating on someone was one of those things she was destined to never understand. Choosing to not have sex with someone else didn’t seem like that hard of a concept to grasp, and yet she had comforted more than one person who had been cheated on.

Everything Alice did and didn’t want to know.

Takumi and his ex-girlfriend and former almost-wife, Rena, had started dating in college when they were nineteen. And it just … worked. They had gone to the same college, lived together for two years, and then earlier this year, she cheated on him. She had always been a social butterfly (his words) and an innocent flirt (her words), but when it came to some guy named Thad (Alice’s words: “Really? That’s his name?”), that innocence fluttered. Except it wasn’t only Thad. She cheated again with someone else. And once more for good measure before they broke up.

They began talking again a few weeks ago, very tentative (his words). Tomorrow night, they were supposed to have dinner to talk about being friends again and possiblyseeing if that could lead somewhere back to being together, but he had seen her kissing some guy downtown earlier. Which was why he was so drunk. He realized that even though she might have missed him (her words), she didn’t really want to be with him anymore (his words).

“Marie called me yesterday.” Marie—Feenie’s mom. “She worked whatever connections she has and had my case for fighting that dude in the bar last year thrown out. Apparently, that gave her the right to interrogate me. She wanted to know when I was going back to school, why I was wasting my life, why I was embarrassing her like this.” Feenie exhaled. “I want to have a family with Ryan because that’s what’s right for me. I don’t get how me wanting to get knocked up and be a housewife affects her. She doesn’t want me to have kids, so she’s never going to see them. Even if I die, she will never see them.”

Alice knew that. She’d known it for years.

In elementary school, when they were told to be doctors and astronauts and firefighters, Feenie stood up and said she wanted to be a mom. Back then, her favorite game had been House. Feenie was always the stay-at-home mom, while Alice was the working mom, and they had seven stuffed-animal children. Feenie did all the cooking, cleaning, and made sure Alice had her newspaper when she got home from work.

She wanted to be everything Marie hadn’t been for her even then.

Their relationship ultimately died when Marie wished Feenie had never been born. She said Feenie ruined all the plans she’d had for herself.

chapter 23:

It was his turn to fix her hood. (He knew not to touch her hair.) “Okay,” he said. “You don’t ever have to tell me anything you don’t want to.”

But part of her did want to. Her secret shouldn’t even have been one—it should have been a nonissue. Why couldn’t being asexual just be accepted?

Why did she have to spend the rest of her life coming out over and over and over…? And once she did, would people always expect her to talk about it? It would always be a huge deal, she would always be subjected to questions, and she would always have to defend herself.

Would it ever stop feeling like A Thing, a barrier, between her and everyone else?

also short, but when alice spotted feenie shopping for wedding dresses and offered to come along we had this exchange:

Feenie clicked her tongue. “Sure you can pry yourself away from Takumi long enough to spend time with me?”

Alice sighed and stood up. Feenie didn’t stop her.

chapter 25:

i could have honestly pasted the entire thing because it’s so goddamn cute and i can’t pick a favorite part but the tl;dr is that takumi is sick and alice went over to take care of him and he kept talking about how great she was in a slightly fever-addled way

“Yeah. I haven’t heard from him in two days, but he called in sick on Saturday.”

Ryan twirled the screwdriver between his fingers, focused. “Are you sure he’s actually sick?”

“It’s either that or he’s packing and needed some time off.” Alice shrugged. “He already signed the lease for his new place.”

“Maybe he’s doing something else that doesn’t involve you.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

Ryan’s face was so open, so honest. It always told the truth before he was ready to speak.

(Basically, he couldn’t lie to save his life.)

“I just think it’s funny that you talk to him and see him every day and all of a sudden he disappears and doesn’t tell you why. I mean, you’re guessing he’s sick or packing. You don’t actually know.”

ALICE AND FEENIE AND RYAN ARE FINALLY HAVING IT OUT:

“You spend a lot of time with him.”

“You two spend a lot of time together without me.”

“That’s different. We’re engaged.”

“So I’m just supposed to sit around and wait for you both to remember I exist?”

“Of course not, but you shouldn’t edge us out. You’re the one making it as if it has to be him or us.”

“How am I doing that? And why is this all my fault? Why do you two have a Get Out of Ditching Alice pass that I’m supposed to accept because you say so? How is that fair to me?”

“We don’t ditch you,” Ryan said.

“You do. You have for years. I just don’t say anything because I don’t want us to fight, but the second I find an actual friend on my own, you two act like this. Neither of you said anything when I spent time with Margot. Why is Takumi suddenly different?”

shit dude! she’s right! and then feenie enters:

“Maybe we minded then and didn’t say anything either.”

Alice whipped around at the sound of Feenie’s voice. Feenie leaned against the refrigerator, arms crossed.

“Maybe,” she continued, “we were really hurt, but you were too busy being happy to notice. Just like right now.”

An enraged fierceness made the edges of Alice’s vision turn red. She balled her hands into fists. “I wouldn’t even have met Margot if you hadn’t decided to move in with Ryan at the last minute. The millisecond you two started dating, he came first. You started to choose him over me every single time.” She turned that rage on Ryan. “And you have always chosen her over me.” Her phone buzzed. “Takumi’s outside.” She slung her purse strap over her shoulder while marching for the door.

He nodded as if he couldn’t stop and sighed before looking at her again. His eyes had taken on a glossy, reddened tint.

“Thank you for trusting me. Realizing that, um,” Takumi said, pausing for a moment, “that hit me kind of hard.”

“What do you mean?” Alice asked quietly.

“Four. Obviously, you’ve been keeping this a secret for a reason.”

She hadn’t been thinking about trust when she told him. Ryan and Feenie had been there when she figured it out (thank God). Dr. Burris had to pry it out of her, didn’t he? And she still couldn’t say the word properly to him. Telling Takumi had been a choice—not by chance or out of necessity. It was her decision, completely on her own.
