So I've been running Fangorn's Edge repeatedly trying to pick up Arth-crus because I don't want to spend 20 Mithril on it even though I have 20 Mithril to spare because full outfits in Lalia's Market only cost 50 Mithril for hat, shoulders, shirt, gloves, boots, and sometimes pants so I'm not super eager to spend 20 on just a shirt

Anyway Arth-crus is the light armor chest. I was a little antsy about trying for it on Leonys Prime because she uses medium armor, but Isengard instances don't really check for that so I thought it would be fine. Well, I was right about one thing. Isengard instances absolutely don't check for that

I use medium armor, I'm looking for light armor, and out of the nine times I've run it so far, I have gotten exclusively heavy armor

I am currently still working on my Uncle Shredder series, and a iteration of my own called Laid Out Events, (Title in the works), which is silly like everything I make but I hope to make it more serious in the future, and EC which is a simple series I have on AO3 that is Brains & Brawn centered. There should also be actual posts on LOE soon though!

Overall, I don't post too much, I think, and am the current CEO of claiming to do things I never end up doing.

Believe it or not, I do also post past turtles. And you can find some Gems such as, 'I'm going to make a Podcast' and, 'I set my stove on fire' and, 'I think I need to go to bed', which all happened no more than an hour from each other. Some more including, 'My knee hurts', 'My hands hurt', and 'My uterus fucking fell'.

I also sometimes mention people I know directly, so sometimes you will see posts with zero context, my bad. (I am not sorry.)

I’m now watching Fellowship and, just like in my viewing of of Return of the King last week, because of my current DVD player situation (aka I do not have one because the PlayStation ‘messes up the aesthetics of the living room’) I’m watching the digitally touched up versions on HBO instead of my original DVDs for the first time and I’m noticing the difference in CGI. The CGI actually looks worse in some places than my original DVDs because of the touch-ups. Like the characters stand out more from the digitally created backgrounds because they sacrificed the cohesion of the scene for foreground clarity…

But also dang some of it really held up. Naturally the darker stuff, like Saruman on top of Orthanc surrounded by storm clouds looks pretty good, but also the cave troll still looks really good. For 20 year old CGI and a kind of messy digital retouching, dang, it’s still good.

My husband is a complete sweetheart who always tries to do these wonderful romantic surprises for me. He's like a fairy tale prince who brought home a crusty cave troll. I'm covered in lichen and getting mud on the carpet, squatted in the corner and glaring suspiciously at the shiny things. He gently hands me a single rose and lights up delightedly when I eat it in one confused bite. The courtiers carefully applaud and I hiss at them.
