i wanted to do a sketch to try+figure out the duke's place in this au and portray that theme of the cycle of abuse, he's this sort of looming figure in jack's life that fills the void inside him for self punishment, something carved into him from his childhood.

Is Khare a good swimmer?

Absolutely, though not to the level of an olympic swimmer or somebody whose body is designed for swimming? (i.e Killer Croc, King Shark, ect...) Khare's main advantage is her sheer endurance and ability to hold her breath for long periods of time, along with seeing much more clearly underwater even in the murkiest depths. There are limits to how well she can see; for instance, she'd be as blind as the next person if it's pitch black but in low light conditions, her sight is as clear as day, her surroundings looking much brighter compared to her original sight and underwater vision clear as if she were wearing goggles. Her lack of natural body temperature makes losing warmth a non-issue. Khare can spend hours in cold water without losing energy or strength and her body type makes her quite a bit more buoyant despite her mutation making her muscles so dense and heavy? She's almost graceful underwater, moreso than she is on land and so feels quite comfortable in the water although isn't much faster than a decent swimmer her age and gender.

robin is the daughter of a merchant, the youngest sibling with five older brothers. she goes with her father on his trade routes because of her skill with languages... and to keep her out of trouble

when max's soul is torn in half, nancy prays to her patron goddess, athena for help. athena is well known for helping out heroes (hercules, perseus, odysseus). nancy falters in her faith because she doesn't think athena listened to her... until she comes across the old texts about her sword (she cannot read the language, but knows the image of athena's sword that is drawn next to the passages). it is robin that translates this text and helps nancy figure out where the sword is supposedly hidden. and robin can't just leave after they figure out where the sword is, beyond nancy being a priestess, she can't shake the feeling that she is suppose to be by her side.

robin is athena's answer to nancy's prayers.

also ah last sunday i lost one of my favourite rings at work.. nearly broke down in tears scouring the floor & rooting through clothes bins in stock before i figured well shit c’est la vie but then against all odds yesterday one hour before close aka two entire days later i was rifling through the in store sales racks putting on price stickers and suddenly just stumbled upon it INSIDE a pair of pants just dangling from the price tag. i for one choose to think this was the golden potato’s doing and have embraced my new god

#the fact that it got caught on a price tag and slipped off my finger without me noticing.#the fact that these were really cheap pants and while the discount/sale racks are so poular & it didnt get discovered and snagged by someone #the fact that it didnt even get jostled hard enough to fall OFF the tag and onto the floor it was still there two full days after losing it #i had already given up all hope of finding it again and then it was just suspended glinting directly in my line of sight WHAT are the odds!!#anyway catch me never wearing rings to work AGAIN!!
