i've been such a diehard fan of larkin since i first found it and im so excited by all the new characters! my poor girl Wynonna Abram's is gonna have a hard time choosing between these beautiful fools.

but i was wondering, what with Adam viewing himself as the biblical figure, do he and the other RO's have strong opinions on the Preacher's views/beliefs about religion? for instance, would Adam look unkindly upon a Preacher that didn't truly believe? or would another RO prefer an atheist Abrams?

so, Adam's whole thing (especially in the case of a female mc) is that Abrams is fulfilling a destiny, so to speak, so in the end their beliefs don't really matter to him. they'll come around to seeing the truth. they have to. they have to.

in terms of religion, I don't think anybody would be too concerned with the beliefs of the Preacher--more, I think, are they concerned with the fact that they're lying about them.

Nash for example is a lapsed baptist, he doesn't really believe much anymore and kind of thinks that religion shouldn't be the only thing steering you morally. Ace, Hollis, Dominic, Montero and Reyes all find themselves fitting somewhere on the catholic spectrum--whether that be former, lapsed, fairweather believers or devout. Rose is jewish, but she's not really practicing--for the most part. She celebrates holidays and prays, but she's not all that strict about it. Cassidy is christian purely through cultural osmosis. he doesn't have faith in anything really, but there have been a few close calls where he's whipped out the Lord's Prayer, he's more of a believer in luck. Ethel grew up practicing a few different flavors of christianity, but she's long turned her back on Christ. Cyrus is a man of science, but he grew up with his grandmother practicing orthodox christianity and Celina doesn't believe in a higher power other than herself.

i mostly look at alicent's and otto's interactions with the lense of how alicent treats aegon later on (because he is most like her- it's so obvious). turns out the poison drips through.

young alicent only had otto, they seemed to be quite close too. it seems that she doesn't seem to have any other adult influences in her life -> once he left, she latched onto another male adult influence; larys strong (yuck!!!)

otto is a second son- set to never inherit anything and remain irrelevant. he obviously can't have that, so he rises through the ranks; no matter the cost. He goes to the point of sending his daughter into the bed chambers of the king (in the book he also had her sent to actual geriartic pervert jaehaerys, yuck!) he is very similar to petyr baelish; a scheming social climber

marrying alicent off was the means to an end to see his blood on the throne -> he does say there will be war if rhaenyra ascends because he thinks the realm won't accept a woman. i do think he somewhat believes that, but seeing his own blood on the throne is his main goal, alicent is the vessel for that dream.

so what does he do? he scares alicent, he scares her by saying her sons will be sent to the wall or will be murdered or another horrible thing. he makes weary of rhaenyra, makes the two girls (then women) grow apart more and more. he needs alicent to act like he does, think like he does.

and what does alicent do? she played her role perfectly. she does what he asks her to do, how could she not? he is her father. the cycle continues, she subjects her kids to the same abuse and fears her father subjected her to; it's the only love she knows.

what does aegon do? he turns into a mess, whoring and drinking all day, weary of responsibility. alicent can't understand. why isn't he like her? why did he grow into what she wanted him to grow into? why isn't he like her? i once saw somebody on here say (i can't link the source; can't find it, sorry!):

she was a stradivarius in her father's hand. aegon is a dull knife in hers.

Hey, everybody? Especially performers? This your friendly reminder to respect your stage crew/manager during the process of performing a show.

As somebody who has worked both as an actor and as a stage manager, stage crew have the hardest job in the show. Most of the time, in my experience, we are only brought onto the show about the week beforehand, which means we have maybe 4-6 days to memorise all of the props, set pieces, and sometimes light and sound cues. Do you understand how difficult that is?

We have the full weight of the show on our shoulders sometimes, being the ones who have to remind people their lines, running into the dressing rooms to find people before they're late for their cues, and on a few occasions, having to fix set pieces with minimal supplies moments before they go onstage. Let me tell you, that's fucking stressful.

And then for members of the cast who should definitely know better to disrespect us, sometimes to our faces, like we did nothing all show? Have you ever heard someone say "They're bit useless, aren't they?" after you ran halfway across the theatre to find a prop somebody moved with two minutes until it was needed? I have, and trust me, it seriously sets a downer on you for the rest of the show.

Are we a bit bitchy sometimes? Absolutely. But you would too if you're on the verge of tears from stress and have people constantly talking about how terrible or useless you are. We definitely have an excuse.

TLDR, You do not have the right to bully your stage crew when they are the whole reason your show is still up and running.

Hi lovely Nonnie, thank you so much for the kind words! I'm really glad you enjoyed my past meta posts, and I hope you're able to use my pinned post to find them all easily.

Sadly, my medical state has left me with a lot less time and energy than in previous years, and I won't be able to make the Buddie meta posts like I used to, at least not in real time. Maybe at some point I can sit down, and write something to overall analyze s7 for Buddie, kinda like I did for seasons 2 and 3A, and if I do, anyone following me will of course be the first to know. That said, I did feel the need to scream at stuff as I was watching 701, and so the first watch reactions were born for s7. You can find them here. They're not exactly the same, but I hope they still have something to offer.

sort of a random question but. u know how u headcanon bucky as having a bigger sexual appetite than gale (i agree) but gale likes the feeling of being wanted to that extent? do u think that as bucky’s mental health declined in the stalag this would change? i mean there’s the obvious differences and i doubt anyone would have the same sex drive they had before going to that place but i could see bucky as either getting to a place where he just doesn’t want to OR he wants to desperately because he wants to be close to gale. and either of those things would obviously affect gale differently. either he’d try to initiate to cheer john up and be surprised/ a bit upset when he’s not into it or gale himself doesn’t really want to in the stalag so he can’t give bucky what he wants. I know u wrote a scene where buck * couldn’t* but as bucky’s mental health gets worse i wonder if this would change

Okay, so I actually headcanon that their sex life in the stalag is a disaster. (In Reverie, I already wrote a little bit about some issues they have, and it will be briefly mentioned again.)

I think Gale's sex drive is near zero - in addition to every POW's hardships, he hates having sex dirty, which is a problem because he can never get fully clean in the camp. On top of that, he’s very reserved and would never ever risk someone other than his partner hearing him / catching him have sex.

Sometimes, Gale is so not up for it that he wouldn't be able to get it up even if Bucky tried

But Bucky's sex drive is also very low on most days. Constantly thinking of death does that to one's libido...

Like you said, Gale would try to initiate sometimes and would end up feeling unwanted if Bucky isn't as enthusiastic as he hoped. That feeling doesn’t help Gale's problems getting an erection.

Then, there are days when Bucky craves Gale's closeness so much that he tries to have sex and then he’s the one facing no interest

Basically, they're often out of sync. 😣

After a while, Bucky feels emotionally safer taking care of himself than trying to find a time and place to do it with Gale.

All this drives even more distance between them, of course.

I think they never have anal sex in the stalag, only the occasional handjob and, very rarely, a blowjob.

Then there's another interesting question - how do their sex drives change post-war? Do they bounce back to how they used to be before the stalag or not? I might explore this later.

10 Years, Every Day! - 240405

As of today, it has been exactly 10 years since I started creating and sharing a 3D animated GIF artwork every single day!

I originally began learning 3D and making GIFs after being inspired by many of the digital artists I had started to find on Tumblr back in 2013. When I decided to start making a GIF every day in April 2014, with very little prior art experience, I never could have imagined that I would still be here doing it 10 years later.

I'm incredibly grateful for everyone who has stuck around and supported my work in any way over the last decade. Likewise, I also have to thank everyone I've had the chance to work or collaborate with over the duration of this project! This has been a huge learning experience, and I am very proud of how far things have come.

To the best of my knowledge, I am the first artist to complete 10 years of daily GIFs, but I have to give major props to the other artists that I know of who paved the way and passed this milestone before me in their respective mediums: @songadaymann / @catswilleatyou / @beeple / @graebor / @rawandrendered

With that being said, after a lot of contemplation, I have decided that today will mark the completion of my daily GIF project. I have no plans to stop creating and sharing my art, but after 10 years of pushing to have an animation done every single day, it's time for a change of pace.

There are still so many things I want to learn, and now feels like the right time to give myself the room to explore and give it a try.

Thank you again for the support. I'm excited to see what the future holds.
