okay so the asylum thing. i have Lore and im so pumped u asked so here is my rambling:

my idea, and this whole spiel is pretty heavily inspired by this royal au series i'm obsessed with by @gatesofember (with a sprinkling of setting inspo from this fic by @percyinpanties), is that each olympian/major god is a House. so like House Zeus, House Apollo, House Hades, etc. i just thought it was way cooler than kingdom lol.

nico has been fighting nonstop w his father since bianca died. just. constantly. notoriously. they do not get along. they argue about EVERYTHING.

one day, Prince Nico of Hades shows up at House Apollo, ass o'clock in the morning, barely clinging to his horse, exhausted, and claims asylum.

uproar. basically. like thats DRAMA.

of course apollo loves drama and also cannot refuse asylum without good reason, so he graciously accepts. some fun details about that:

nico is now, before a prince, an Asylum Seeker. by status, he is not royalty outside of his own House if he steps away from the role, which he lowkey has done by seeking asylum from his own House. he has very little say in anything now.

apollo, however, has granted him shelter in the royal wing of the House, granting him a royal suite of apartments as if he was a visiting diplomat/royal/House Hades representative. this does not, technically, change his official status, but it does make abundantly clear that apollo still considers him of royal status. aside from that, he's still a prince, and no one wants to make an enemy of a prince (since he can still easily return to his throne, essentially? like there are no laws stopping him from doing so. this whole situation is just Odd and Weird and Really Good Gossip), they were all gonna treat him like prince anyway. he has the fancy clothes and still wears his circlet and often sits in on apollo's fancy meetings and shit (apollo likes his nerve).

will could not give any less of a shit.

he is the only person in the entire House and probably beyond who not only does not give a shit, and does not give a shit to nico's face.

this is insane behaviour.

will is the house physician, right. so in term of respect, he has a lot of it, but he has no authority outside his own infirmary, really. he gets a lot more respect than his status calls for because he's prodigiously good at healing. like. people tease that he can raise the dead. he can't, but. you know. apollo is the House of Drama, really, so no surprises there.

will kinda holes himself up in the infirmary?? there are a few reasons for that. one, apollo is a very artistically inclined House, and will is not very artistically inclined, so he started working in the infirmary as a kid and basically stayed there lol. the court physician before him was actually apollo's oldest daughter, hygieia, whom will adored to a million pieces and who doted on him lol. (she got him a little physician's tunic when he was seven and he literally wore it until it was threads). anyways. he feels useful in the infirmary, and its also where he does all his studies, so he mostly stays in that area of the castle. two, he doesnt get boundaries very well. he also thinks hierarchy is deeply, deeply stupid. for his own safety his friends are like hey. maybe dont interact with visiting royals and diplomats and shit. because someone is going to stab you one day. (and will is like 'well i'll just fix myself then' and they're like 'will for the love of the gods. please.') plus the east wing of the castle (where the infirmary is) is rly well lit and beautiful and leads right to the gardens and the library, so will likes it there :)

this would usually be a great mix, right? nico, who has been treated very much as a prince his entire life and has had people either walking on eggshells around him or scared of him, who has never had anyone but his father and maybe his sister defy him in his life, chilling in the centre part of the castle with the rest of the more royal members, and will, mr Authority Who? Don't Tell Me What To Do, chilling out in the east. no need to interact with each other.

nico is a dumbass who got hurt on his way to House Apollo. and did not tell anyone bc thats embarrassing. so he collapses right after asking asylum, and is carried to will's infirmary, who waits with his foot tapping until nico wakes back up and tears into him 😭😭 calling him the biggest dumbass to ever cross these lands and getting quite creative with it, really, absolutely running his mouth, and as soon as nico recovers from being bewildered (does not take long) he is like you??? cannot fucking talk to me like that???? i am the prince of ghosts???? fucker??? who do you think you are talking to??? and will is like i brought you back into this world, you fucker, i will send your ass right back out of it if you dont sit down and shut up and write down these recovery instructions. and nico is like ???? meanwhile the nurses in the infirmery who know will's stubborn ass are GIGGLING. like they think hes gonna die but at least its funny.

everyone lowkey expects nico to tattle to apollo and get will thrown out or something.

nico does not. which is weird, because, like, maybe he usually would?? but will makes him so mad he cant even think straight. the second hes released from the infirmary he stomps to his new quarters, seething. he shows up in the infirmary next day with the full intent to start an argument. instead, will tries to put him to WORK. and then gets irritable when nico refuses and kicks him out.

just absolutely insane behaviour. if anyone talked to nico like that in his House theyd be arrested, if not excecuted. hell, if will says this shit in front of apollo he might still get arrested, because what. but nico keeps going back and continues to get humbled by will basically every day.

and, ho ho, what happens?? does he maybe begin to care about will?? no. of course not. will is a pain in his ass.

insert part two here, blah blah blah, nico very obviously does care about will and its embarrassing

he realises right after this that he cares about will. although theres still a layer of denial over it bc will is his fucking nemesis, a pain in his ass, and also a Whole Ass Guy, so.

will begrudgingly allows nico to drag him out of the infirmary on occasion.

he has to admit, that when nico isnt being a diva, he is.

kind of.

charming.

a little.

if he had a knife to his throat, he would admit this.

maybe.

in terms of falling in love, they fall in love FAST. after that barrier of "you're so fucking annoying" "IM annoying?!?!?!" "yes glad you agree" crumbles, they both go TUMBLING off that cliff bro. will takes a cannon to every single one of the bitchy walls nico put up after his sister died, leaving him heart wrenchingly lonely. he treats nico like a person. and nico treats will like an equal, not someone lesser, in fact he treats will like hes not a prince, not a king, but a god. he reveres him. will has never felt this worthy of anythign in his life.

their relationship is forbidden and very, very secret.

nico, as a royal, wouldnt face many consequences, but will...

the issue is that will is the most frustrated by the secrecy. nico has always known that he would have to love in secret, he grew up in that truth. will has never lied about anything in his entire life. the whole royal hierarchy makes no sense in any way and pisses him the hell off. he doesnt like having to be cautious about the way he touches nicos shoulder.

4. wrote too many things in one block and got cut off 💀💀 turns out i DO have a plot omg. thank you for asking. GOD i love them so bad.

and to answer your question… Ro’s main goal as a Demon Slayer is to kill demons with the intent of allowing the lives they took to move onto the afterlife; bonus points if she knew the people while they were alive, and doesn’t want them suffering in limbo. the people the demon killed (often other Demon Slayers) tend to follow her around once they learn she can see them & help her find their killer so Ro can take it out!

so while she hates the job, she’s purely motivated by helping people, specifically the dead

how she became a Demon Slayer in the first place / what inspired her to become one reflects this a bit! Ro used to watch the children in her town and became an “older sibling” of sorts to all of them. when a demon attacked and killed them all, Ro singlehandedly took out the demon in revenge (after hunting them down. ofc the ghost children followed her the whole time) all of the people she befriended in Final Selection were killed, too. death pretty much follows her everywhere— literally! their ghosts follow her around until she can kill the demons who killed them!

but of course, Ro can’t save everyone :( and she becomes the very thing she swore to destroy

"Hey you," Kyle looks up from his phone after hours of scrolling through whatever random piece of media had occupied his brain today. It's 12 pm on a Saturday and Kyle had no plans other than to take his beautiful girlfriend out for dinner tonight, he was to pick her up at 6 o'clock at her house, so he's a bit surprised when she shows up unannounced, 6 hours early in his bedroom.

He's sitting at his desk chair and he previously had been playing a video game on his laptop but got distracted by his phone, something he does a lot, and he had died in the game long ago, so it wasn't like he was missing out on anything.

"Hi," she beams at him with the widest grin spread on her face. She prances toward him.

"What's got you in such a good mood? And here so early? I thought I was grabbing you at 6?" When she comes to stand behind him in the chair, he leans his head back, stretching his neck to come face to face with her. She leans her head down, placing a sweet kiss on his upside-down lips.

"Just missed you. Figured I got nothing better to do than hang with you today, so I might as well come early. Is that okay?" He doesn't miss the slight tinge of insecurity or unsureness in her last words, and he simply won't stand for her feeling any fraction of nervous in his presence.

"Of course it is, sweetie. I love spending time with you," he whispers to her as she's lingered her head next to his even after she parted from the kiss.

"Cool. Can I sit on your lap?" His heart skips a beat. He blinks in surprise, it's not like her to be so forward with her need for affection or anything like that.

"Come here," he reaches an arm out for her, placing it on the small of her back and leading her to the comfort of his lap. She squirms a bit, settling herself into him, with a content sigh.

She chuckles a little, "wow, you're warm." She leans back and snuggles her head into the crook of his neck.

He holds her firmly, enjoying the safety he feels when she's near. "And you're cold."

"That's because it's cold outside. Dead of fucking winter," she complains into his neck like a pouting child and a smile spreads on his face. He rubs her back softly.

"You walked here?"

"I got a ride," she presses her cheek to his, eager to feel his soothing touch.

"By who?" He leaves a short kiss on her neck.

Pulling back, she holds his face in both her hands, gazing into his adoring eyes, taking in his features. "My pimp. Are you totally jealous?" She sentences him to 3 kisses, one right after another, holding him in place. He hums into her open mouth.

"What's your pimp got to say about you havin' a boyfriend, huh?"

She holds his face back before he can lean in for another kiss. "I've been meaning to tell you, actually. He said you gotta start payin' up now. This whole cuddle session thing we got going on here? It ain't cheap."

"Ah, here I was thinking you liked me or something," he rubs her back some more, feeling her warm skin through the cloth of her shirt and drinking in the amorous look on her face when he focuses on her. And he wants to. He wants to look at her pretty face and stare at her forever, if she'd allow it. He'd assume she'd think him a creep, though. "Why'd you really come?"

He's no fool. She's only ever this affectionate, this in need of him when she's drunk. On top of that, she values her alone time. He tries not to take offense to it, but he knew she had a day to herself today, so it's unlike her to interrupt it with this event. This whole thing, the cuddling, the kisses, it's unlike her.

"What do you mean?"

"Darling. I'm not stupid. You're usually too quick to complain when I try and hold you like this. What's up? You can tell me," he doesn't let her hide her face back into his neck again, hoping she'll look him in the eye.

She sighs but still doesn't look straight at him. "Just had a tough morning."

"Is that all?" He asks, trying to determine if he sounds patronizing or compassionate, like he means to.

"I don't know. I just need you. Is that okay?"

"That's fine with me. You can come to me anytime you need me, you understand? You don't have to explain, you don't even need a reason why, okay? I love you," it's so easy to believe him when he speaks so dearly, with such a adoring look on his handsome face. She nods, and he nods back in confirmation. He sighs.

"I'm still cold, though. Anything you can do about that?" He smiles cutely at her again.

"Mhm," he taps the side of her leg, sending her a signal to stand up, and he follows, venturing over to his closet where he pulls out a plain black hoodie, and he turns back to her. "Arms up, baby." He doesn't miss the silly little giggle she lets out at being treated like this, and once he pulls the hoodie down over her body, he cups her face in both hands. "So cute. I'm gonna make you tea. Go lay down, sweetie."

"Don't tell me what to do," she spits back, but does what she's told, obediently, and settles herself comfortable in his cushy bed.

He's back in a few minutes, he must have microwaved the water rather than use a tea kettle. She's on his laptop, browsing through his open tabs, and for a split second, he wonders how she got into it, but then remembers he's set the password to her birthday, so it would have been easy for her to crack. "What you up to, babe?"

He sets the tea down on the nightstand next to her and walks around to the other side of the bed, taking a seat. "You've got some weird stuff on here, Ky."

He sighs. "You found the folder, didn't you."

"Yes, I found the folder. I thought I might have dreamt you telling me you have a folder full of my candids, but you told me the other night, when I was drunk right?" He nods in confirmation. "Right, and I bet you thought I was too drunk to remember it, but I'm smarter than that. I'm like a hacker, I hacked your password. It was easy, though. I mean, my birthday? That's like, basic shit."

He scoots in next to her, wrapping an arm around her and pulling her in tight. "Well excuse me for being a sap. I've got a big crush on you. I'm on some schoolboy type shit. I just wanna chase you around the playground and yank on your hair."

She turns into him, eager to feel his soft, warm skin against her hands, so she goes searching under the covers till she reaches the hem of his shirt, which she pushes up a few inches to rest her hand on his stomach. "You can pull my hair all you want, but don't chase me, I'm tired."

Resting her head on his chest, she wraps both arms around him tightly, hoping to restore her mental wellbeing in the comfort of his presence and embrace. But honestly, just him being here, so in love with her, is enough to satiate her need for him.

"You sure you don't want to talk about it?"

"There's nothing to say, really. I just missed you. But not in a normal way, I guess. I don't know. I don't have the words for this."

"You never do."

"What?"

"Words of affirmation. It's not your love language. Neither is physical touch, but every now and then, you can have your moments. But acts of service, you like that the most. 'S why I always give you a hoodie when you get cold, make you tea and cuddle you to warm you up. I know it's what makes you feel my love the most."

"Aww. Now I feel shitty, what's your love language? I don't know it."

"It's physical touch. Don't stress over it baby. I know you love me, you don't need to specialize in being all touchy for me to know that."

"How much do you love me?"

"What?"

"Like scale of 1 to 10. Be honest."

"I'm always honest to you," he mumbles, but she still heard. "11." He worries he's said the wrong number when she doesn't say anything for a good long while.

"Hey Kyle?"

"Hmm?"

"Marry me?"

He breaks his stare at the ceiling to look back at her, only to find her staring right back at him, eye to eye. "What?"

"Marry me." She says it as a statement now. She knows how whipped he is.

"Are you being silly right now or are you being for real?"

"For real."

He gazes into her eyes, trying to find a hint of sarcasm, but only finding equally returned love. "Yes, I'll marry you. Are you kidding me?"

"Nope. I'm tired though. Nap first, then marriage?" He bursts out laughing at her, like he always does, and he wouldn't have it any other way.

"Yeah, let's nap first, sweetie."

rad yearbook pt2.... dateables and luke ver (raph, mephi and thirteen might be ooc.. but theres not enough content of them so i shall shove some down your throats /lovingly) also sorry for the dia favoritism he's my baby mwah

i can see diavolo kind of disliking picture day, in a way. he has to shove away sunshiny, golden retriever ‘dia’ and become calm, collected, firm ‘lord diavolo, prince of the devildom’. he hates it :(( he’s constantly uptight and he can’t seem to relax. he probably isn’t smiling in his photo although he should be.. because he’s gotta keep his noble attitude and such. i feel like he has a whole spread dedicated to him in the yearbook. all those candid shots of him hosting balls (hehe) and at student council meetings (mephi had the time of his LIFE sitting in on that meeting. he was constantly snickering and taking photos at random times to catch people off guard. lucifer was pissed but couldn’t do anything bc he was “on official newspaper club business” in reality he just needed references for princess dia and prince lucifer stickers) dia will laugh heartily when he sees the look of displeasure on your face when you see his picture. he thinks its funny that you think his face looks so stiff and weird. no one’s ever said that to him before. he’ll fucking BEAM at you if you say he looks so much cuter when he smiles and that you would rather have a happy smiling prince than a dull one. ur so cute he loves you sm.

barbatos probably spends more time worrying about diavolo than himself. he’s got to press dia’s uniform, shine his shoes, help him shave, pluck his eyebrows, literally full spa treatment. barb still looks clean crisp and professional in his photo though. idk i don’t feel like there’s much to say about him and the yearbook. it’s just another day of the week for him. he probably does quality control on the yearbooks before they come out?? idk how to explain this but i feel like he’s the most reliable person to do it, lucifer is too busy, and the other brothers would seize the chance to do something malicious or just not care enough to be thorough about it. he supervises and reads the little blurbs in the yearbook and makes sure mephistopheles hasn’t done anything. is wearing his gloves in every picture. if you ask him why he’ll probably just say that it’s become a habit at this point (his butlerness is bleeding into his soul). if you say you like his hands gloveless he’ll chuckle and offer a sly “is that so...” while making a mental note of it in his head. 

mephistopheles and the yearbook... where to start... ive talked about him so much already i think we all know that that yearbook season is a field day for this man. he cooks up sinister mischievous plots all year in preparation.. i swear he has a notebook where he writes new ideas he comes up with to sabotage prank the yearbook and all the students!!! now, listen idk much ab this man, but from the bare minimum ive seen, i think he holds a slight grudge against lucifer.. (ex-friend of dia?? LMAO LUCIFER TOOK HIS SPOT..) anyways i think mephi is a spiteful bitch and that's why he does all of his shit to ruin lucifers rep??? IDK IVE LITERALLY JUST WATCHED HIS INTRO VID BUT IT MAKES SENSE RIGHT? anyways he always kind of resents the yearbook a lil bit bc if that maybe.. he def interviews you for the yearbook and asks u a ton of personal questions ab the brothers and dia hoping to get dirt on everyone, but ur answers are so cute and genuine and it shows that u care a lot ab all of them he just finds himself thinking ur rlly pretty and he wants u to talk about him like that he was supposed to hate u what the hell happened anyways u have a cute little interview in the yearbook now he couldnt bring himself to ruin it (HAHAHAHS WHAT A SIMP)

simeon finds the yearbook extremely interesting. he doesn't care so much about his own picture, but he LOVES looking at everyone else's. it gives him good ideas for new characters!! u and him would literally sit and make up dramatic backstories and personalities for different demons based on their pics HAHS itd turn into a whole storyline and simeon is literally making mental notes. in his yearbook photo, he just has his usual serene smile. he doesn't do anything special, although i think luke would wanna help him comb his hair or fix his slutty outfit :} (ok but fr why are the demons so covered up and raph and sim are literally walking around in exposing outfits like hello raph has his tits all the way out and asmo has a scarf, jacket AND a shirt underneath???) i feel like simeon would also send a picture of his yearbook pic to micheal and tell him about the whole process idk i feel it in my bones. if you tell him about yearbook signing he will ask everyone for their notes and signatures to commemorate his time in the devildom (he'll read your little note over and over when ur away... he cant help it ur so cute and he misses u sm)

i think luke is really nervous about the yearbook but the moment u ask him about it he's like "im not nervous quit treating me like a child!! >:((" simeon silently nods in your direction to confirm that yes luke is very nervous. he just wants to make a good impression!! its his first yearbook, he's gotta let everyone know that he's a capable, mature angel, worthy of micheal's praise! (he just wants micheal to be proud of him shh dont tell him i said that). when hes getting ready to have his picture taken, he takes extra care to fix his jaunty little hat, smooth his coat, brush his hair, etc. i think he tries to do a serious smile but he just comes out looking so cute that when u see his pic u unconsciously let out an 'awwww' and he pouts and tells u he is NOT cute and he is NOT a chihuahua that joke is DEAD. *pointedly glares at mammon* anyways his yearbook pic is really cute just dont tell him that hehe u and simeon can gush ab it later

raphael doesn't give two shits ab the yearbook i think. and he absolutely doesn't understand when u ask if theyre actually letting him wear his outfit hes just like "....yes? why would they not?" and still doesnt understand when you tell him that its kinda inappropriate but u still think its rlly hot. well. u can't see all of his abs in the pic but u can see most of em so ur sufficiently fed. (AHAHA IM SORRY) ahem. anyways they dont allow him to bring his spear or take a picture with him which kinda pisses him off a little bit. he also doesn't really care a lot about the yearbook itself either but if u sign it and then smile at him and tell him you'll miss him lots his cheeks will freaking flush sm but he'll be like "i will miss u as well. mc. thank you." whilst inside hes screaming omg. def looks at ur yearbook pic w a lil smile on his face and then micheal is like "ohoho? what r u looking at?" and raph is like "/////-///// nothing." micheal knows what hes looking at he just wants to tease him LMAO

solomon is kinda excited!! i think its one of the human things he's never really gotten to do so he's kinda pumped ab it :)) i think he just has a cute little smile on his face the whole day this is a new experience for him <33 he asks u all about yearbooks and picture day in preparation. he feels more connected to his humanity!!! i think after meeting u he just kinda realized that he missed being an average human, so he's been romanticizing every second of ur time together AWWWW altho sometimes hes a little mf shit >:[ will request to meet up w u in the human world to go through ur old yearbooks togther!! he thinks little u is so cute!!
