"He is the One Who made the sun a radiant source and the moon a reflected light, with precisely ordained phases, so that you may know the number of years and calculation ˹of time˺. Allah did not create all this except for a purpose. He makes the signs clear for people of knowledge." [Surah Yunus , Verse 5]
Say [Prophet], “I seek refuge with the Lord of daybreak, against the harm in what He has created, the harm in the night when darkness gathers, the harm in witches when they blow on knots, the harm in the envied when he envies.”
How many times did you ask yourself: why did Allah create darkness and evilness? Why did he create something so distant from what He teaches us to be?
Surah Al-Falaq reminds us that Allah created everything for a reason, even what seems to be so distant from goodness, for we need to recognize the darkness in order to praise the light. So we pray Allah and ask Him to protect us everyday from what might hurt us.
67:13 Whether you keep your talk secret or make it aloud, He knows well what lies in the hearts. 67:14 Is it (imaginable) that He who has created (them) will not have (such a) knowledge, while He is the Knower of the finest things, the All-Aware?
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
The fact that this verse is repeated 31 times in Surah ar-Rahman. I don’t think that is by accident. The verse reminds us time and again for the many blessings we take for granted on a daily basis [and to be thankful for them]. Whether it be in terms of money, food, wealth, health, or anything and everything else.
If we truly took the time to count the blessings, we’d realize it’s impossible because it would be endless. They are infinite. But we aren’t thankful for everything we take for granted on a daily basis?
This theme is repeated in various Surahs in the Qu’ran. Several examples:
From Surah Ibrahim: “And He gave you from all you asked of Him. And if you should count the favor of Allah , you could not enumerate them. Indeed, mankind is [generally] most unjust and ungrateful.” [14:34]
From Surah Nahl: “And if you should count the favors of Allah , you could not enumerate them. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.” [16:18]
I really recommend you to use this app to read the Qur’an, it’s really useful for when you have no other way to read it.
I’ve been using this for a month now and I love it!
The app is really well structured, it allows you to translate everything in every language you want, to highlight the most significant Ayats, to add bookmarks and notes to any Surah you want, and you can actually play Surahs and listen to them.
They also have a website, I’m pretty sure everyone knows it, but the app just works better!
You can find it by simply typing “Qur’an” in your App Store. Hope this helps someone!!!
Let me know if you download it, I’ll share a new Surah this evening!!!🤍
يَا لَيْتَنَا نُرَدُّ وَلَا نُكَذِّبَ بِآيَاتِ رَبِّنَا وَنَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
“Oh, would that we could be returned [to life on earth] and not deny the signs of our Lord and be among the believers.”
