there’s something so classic storybook romantic about syd and carmy’s insistence on choosing each other. sydney chose an opportunity with carm to work with him and learn from him, carm chose to hire her and let her teach him too. syd chose to come back to the restaurant and start something new with carmy, carmy chose to believe that someone must be on his side that he miraculously got a second chance with her.

#I mean for well over a decade my skin condition got so much worse over the summer and I was thus conditioned to hate it (even now that it’s #not quite as bad anymore as long as I’m eating right) I usually feel like I can’t get enough air when it’s hot and humid out #And the sunshine just makes me sleepytired #Also I hate yard work and mosquitos. I have friends with allergies which get worse during every season but winter #BUT #I know enough of you thrive in sunshine.. somehow don’t bake in the heat.. have poor circulation.. for some reason are opposed to layers.. #I’m willing to stop bringing up the defects in y’all’s favorite season if you do likewise #(This is all very tongue in cheek I just hope it stays that way and the arguments don’t get real)

Unlike divorced!Kirishima (who told you he wanted to try taking a break before making anything official), I think Deku doesn’t mention anything at all before he tries to remove himself from your life.

Goes straight from simply acting busy and being distant to suddenly, fully ignoring you at home and over the phone; I don’t even think he tries to serve you divorce papers before he moves out entirely, so desperate to… what? You don’t know and probably never will.

(That is, until he returns after years of silence with tears in his eyes asking for you to take him back.)

I don’t really think the real Hikaru and Yoshiki would’ve ever gotten together. If they did, it wouldn’t be for long. They want completely different things out of life: Yoshiki wants to move to the city to escape all the societal expectations he’s found himself ensnared in and hates his duties as a man, and then Hikaru unabashedly loves the countryside, wants to uphold his familial duties, and would lay those same expectations onto any son of his just like his own father had. It wouldn’t be impossible for it to work, but it’s hard to build a future with someone who has totally conflicting wants and values. I’d imagine any prospect of a long term relationship would fizzle out, and they’d just settle into being good friends.

but the fact that they never got to come to that conclusion on their own makes it so tragic.
