Jefferson Airplane to Enter Hollywood Walk of Fame Galaxy
- Band’s star will be the 2,737th to grace the landmark
There will soon be a Jefferson Airplane in the Hollywood Walk of Fame’s galaxy of stars.
The long-defunct band will receive the landmark’s 2,737th star during an Oct. 13 ceremony.
Surviving Airplane members Grace Slick, Jack Casady and Jorma Kaukonen will attend, per a news release. Late classic-era members Marty Balin, Paul Kanter and Spencer Dryden are also to be honored.
“We are proud to add this iconic psychedelic rock band to the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” Walk of Fame Producer Ana Martinez said in a statement.
Former Doors drummer John Densmore and fellow sticksman Mickey Hart (Grateful Dead/Dead & Company) will speak at the ceremony.
“Congratulation to our friends the Jefferson Airplane,” the New Riders of the Purple Sage said in a statement.
“As you all know, (NRPS) and the Airplane have a tight connection in that drummer Spencer Dryden played in both bands.”

Paradise: Final Part
Pairing: Spencer Reid x Female!Reader
Word Count: ~1.1k
Summary: Spencer finally meets your parents, but it doesn’t go as well as you thought it was going to go. Are you a bad girlfriend for letting your dad treat him that way, or is it completely out of your control?
Warnings: canon violence, canon language, canon talk of death, methods of kill
Author’s Note: I do not own anything from Criminal Minds. All credit goes to their respective owners. If there are any warnings that exceed the normal death/kills from the show, I will list them. If you’ve seen the show, then it’s the same level of angst unless otherwise stated

Once the Sheriff has the files in his hands, he doesn't waste any time digging through them.
"How many suspects did they have in the Selbyville case?" you ask.
"Including Clint Barnes, it says they had about ten other men who looked good for it. They brought in double that for questioning."
"JJ, cross-reference these names of suspects to see if you get a match with people we still need to talk to in Sherwood."
"You got it."
"Almost all these guys had criminal records," Emily says as she looks through the files. "The offenses range from spousal abuse, sex crimes, molestation, and attempted rape."
"Our unsub is using brutal, physical force and extreme violence. Look for somebody who's angry and hostile towards his victims," Spencer says. "Look for an intellectual component. This guy used the MO of another rapist to make sure the wrong person went to jail for his crimes."
"The Selbyville police talked to our unsub. He looked good for these crimes. He's in here somewhere," Hotch sighs.
You worked with Penelope in eliminating people off the list, but it's not looking too good.
"Alright, Garcia, let's try again," Hotch groans. "His name is Floyd Henson who lived and worked in Sherwood his entire life. He went to jail at twenty-five for breaking and entering."
"Our friend got caught red-handed with some bloomers and was charged with attempted rape. The jerk served time and got out a year ago. His last known address is at the Crest Cottages."
"JJ, check the list of hotels and motels we went to. Is it on there?" When she confirms, he sighs. "I interviewed the manager there. His name was Wayne Dryden, right?"
"Employee records say Wayne was fired from the Crest Cottages six months ago. The only employee now is the owner, Floyd Hansen."
Hotch talked to Floyd, so he knows exactly where to go.
"Let's go. I know where we're going. JJ, tell Garcia we'll call her from the car."
You all shuffle into two cars with you riding with Hotch, Rossi, and Spencer. Hotch feels guilty for letting him slip through his fingers. If you had been with him, you would have seen Floyd for who he truly was.
"I should've taken my own advice and gotten some rest," Hotch sighs.
"Hotch, we've talked to so many people. It could've been any of us."
Penelope calls, and Spencer fumbles with his phone. He places her on speakerphone so everyone in the car can hear her. The service is terrible in these parts of the mountains, and maybe that's why Floyd picked that area. If cell reception is spotty, then his victims won't be able to call for help.
"Hello? Hello?" Penelope calls out.
"Do you hear me, Garcia?"
"Yeah, that's better. I can sort of hear you. So, like I was saying, it looks like Floyd Hansen didn't even have a chance. His mother drank herself to death when he was two. His father remarried but to a prostitute."
"Where's his father now?"
"He died six months ago. Floyd inherited the Crest Cottages from--"
Penelope gets cut off when the cell reception drops.
"Garcia? We lost her," Spencer says and puts away his phone. "The timeline fits. He got out of jail a year ago, he's on good behavior for a few months, then the urges are too strong, rapes and kills a woman, but he's smart enough to blame it on another guy."
"His father dies, he inherits all the privacy, control, and victims he could ever need."
You get to the property in less than twenty minutes, and you see that there is the main office and a bunch of different cabins throughout the property that have different rooms. There's also a garage, sheds, and stables for horses. Abby and Ian can be in any one of these, but that's why you're here.
You'll be able to locate them easily.
Abby and Ian's energy is too far for you to see, but you can definitely feel their fear.
"I know where they are. I can feel them." No one on the team questions you, and you fly past cabins one through five since they are quiet without inhabitants. You stop right outside Cabin Six, and you point to the door. "They're in there."
Derek is the one who breaks down the door, and Hotch is the first one in. Floyd looks up with wide eyes, scared out of his mind. He turns and escapes through a hole in the wall. Abby is tied to the bed in only her bra and panties, and Ian is lying on the floor with a swollen face.
Hotch and Derek run after the man, using the same escape route as him. Spencer and Emily are here to take care of the couple, so you follow the two men out of the same hole. The hole leads you through the wall and out the back of the cabin, and you can see a trail of Floyd's energy go into the woods.
You book it through the woods and see Derek and Hotch up ahead. Floyd got a head start, but they aren't far behind him. You make a swift right and take a detour that will hopefully cross paths with Floyd. This part of the woods is right next to the freeway, so you have to be careful where you run.
Anything can happen.
You run past the trees and come to a clearing right before Floyd gets there. You raise your gun, but before you can shout at him, he barrels into you. You go crashing to the ground, and that causes him to stumble forward. He looks back and runs right into the middle of the road, and you look back with wide eyes.
He looks to the right at the semi-truck that's coming right at him. He doesn't even have a chance. The front of the car barrels into his body, killing him instantly.
"Y/N! Are you okay?" Derek asks and helps you up.
"Yeah. He isn't."
The driver of the semi-truck slams on his brakes once he realizes what happened, and he pulls over immediately. The ambulance was called for Ian and Abby as well as for Floyd even though he is dead.
"Well, roadside motels definitely go on my list of things to never do again."
"You've got a list?" Spencer asks innocently.
"You don't?" Rossi asks with raised eyebrows.
"Baby, you're getting a list. Don't worry, I'll help you," you hug him close.
It's going to take a long time for this mess to be cleared, but it's going to take even longer for Ian and Abby to recover from this... if they ever do.
"Hey, do your parents like me?" Spencer takes you off to the side.
"I am so sorry about all of that," you sigh. "I hate how he handled that. He's always been that way with all my boyfriends. All of them cried and ran for the hills, but I'm not going to let that happen to you. I love you too much to let you go."
He pulls you close and kisses you.
"I don't scare easily."
"You do, but I'll protect you," you grin and kiss him again.
"Things are not always what they seem; the first appearance deceives many; the intelligence of a few perceives what has been carefully hidden." - Phaedrus

Sorry-for-sin Coupard was a peripatetic exhortation to repentance, and No-merit Vynall was a standing denunciation of works...
As little will be thought of the new names, Free-Gift, Reformation, Earth, Dust, Ashes, Delivery, More-fruit, Tribulation, The-Lord-is-near, More-triale, Discipline, Joy-againe, From-above, which have lately been given by some to their children, with no evill meaning, but upon some singular and precise conceite...
“1654. Wroth Rogers to be placed on the Commission of Scandalous Ministers.”—Scobell’s “Acts and Ord. Parl.,” 1658. “1680, Dec. 22. Buried Anger Bull, packer.”—St. Dionis Backchurch. “1588, Feb. 9. Baptized Sin-dynye, sonne of Andrew Champneye.” “1669, Jan. 21. Buried Refrayne Benny, a widdow. “1587, July 16. Baptized Returne, sonne of Rychard Farret. “1587, Aug. 6. Baptized Obey, sonne of Rychard Larkford. “1587, Dec. 24. Baptized Depend, sonne of Edward Outtered. “1588, Ap. 7. Baptized Feare-God, sonne of John Couper. “1608, Aug. 14. Baptized Repent Champney, a basterd. “1592, Sep. 17. Baptized Abuse-not, d. of Rychard Ellis. “1594, July 22. Baptized Lament, d. of Antony Foxe.
Of New Testament names, whose associations are of evil repute, we may mention Ananias, Sapphira, and Antipas. Ananias had become so closely connected with Puritanism, that not only did Dryden poke fun at the relationship in the “Alchemist,” but Ananias Dulman became the cant term for a long-winded zealot preacher.
Pharaoh occurs, and went out to Virginia, where it has ever since remained. It is, as already shown, familiar enough in Yorkshire.
“Sept. 1, 1611. Job-rakt-out-of-the-asshes, being borne the last of August in the lane going to Sir John Spencer’s back-gate, and there laide in a heape of seacole asshes, was baptized the ffirst day of September following, and dyed the next day after.”
Selected Names, Charles W. Bardsley, Curiosities of Puritan Nomenclature (1880)
