so like… after i made my smashiversary poster i was itching to do another one but with the ultimate dlc characters. i always thought it was cool how there are approximately (depending on who you ask) the same amount of characters in the fighters pass as there are original fighters in the first smash. its like the new vs the old, and making a complimentary piece to the one i made with the OGs sounded appealing to me

i guess this could be considered a late ultimate anniversary piece? cuz no way am i waiting until december to launch this. i queued it up for the 29th since i wanted it to be posted after my smashiversary poster went live (on the 21st) and also because i think this day is when piranha plant was added officially as dlc! :) (that was the closest significant day i could find on a brief skim through the ultimate wiki page at the time of drawing). this was originally completed 1/13/23.

anyway, everyone in this roster is so detailed and i failed to consider that ToT also had the vision to make it very blue, but shading with blue was a lot harder than i thought! so the colors are a bit murkier than intended. but fuck it we ball……
