Anarcia x Barbie Movie

I’m back with the collab nobody asked for that I desperately needed. Based on the events of my own Barbie movie premier being cancelled because the power went out, this is just…this is what came out. (I’ve been writing a bit but not too much, I’m remembering to post this for you all instead of just sending it to @sexynetra and letting it float away like I’ve been doing. I’ve been holding out, so sorry!)

The sky is just beginning to clear when they pull in to the parking lot of the cinema. There’s a crowd outside the door, and Jax leans in from the back seat of Anetra’s truck to see better.

“Do you think they lost power?”

Marcia shakes her head vigorously, whipping around to glare at her friend.

“Why would you say that? The storm is over, I think there’s just a lot of people coming to see this movie. That’s why it looks like it’s so packed.”

“Yeah, that’s it.” Jax snorts. Anetra shoots her a look from the driver’s seat, unbuckles herself and leads them to the lobby. Their group has dressed up for the occasion, from Luxx mimicking a holiday Barbie to Marcia’s nearly identical shorter, handmade replica of the movie’s famous gingham dress. Anetra had even come in-theme, her Barbie logo shirt and jean shorts a tad brighter than her usual wardrobe.

There’s a soft alarm blaring, clumps of people talking in disappointed murmurs to themselves. The lights are off, the cinema feeling empty without the sound of popcorn popping or tickets printing. It’s all a bit ominous; although nobody wants to admit it, they’re all thinking the same thing. 

This isn’t a good sign.

A man wearing a gigantic, cartoonish pink cowboy hat and chaps stands up on the bar, which has been cleared of its pink plastic cups and commemorative popcorn tubs. He shouts, and an entire lobby full of costumed people look over at him warily. His lips scrunch up in a sort of nervous wincing, and Anetra has never heard an entire room sigh all at once in the way this crowd does. He doesn’t even have to make the announcement before people are gathering their things, phones pressed close to their faces as they attempt to make other plans. 

“So because of the crazy storms today, we clearly lost power. The seven o’clock viewing of the Barbie movie has been cancelled. You can hang around to see if we’ll get power back soon, but only if you’re ticket holders to a later showing. We’re so sorry for the inconvenience.”

Their group is huddled together, ranting over each other about the situation. Sugar and Spice are chatting to the group of girls next to them, Robin and Jax calling out showtimes to one another and grunting when they’re coming to the fateful screen reading sold out. There’s such a turn into chaos and yet Marcia’s leaned up against a pillar with her eyes unblinking, her lips pouted. She hasn’t responded to any of the plan making, has been thumbing through her phone looking at the same screens as everyone else. 

“I think I’m going to call it.” Aura’s the first to say anything other than calling out a showtime, and the group looks up at her curiously. She’s pulling her keys from her belt bag with a non-committal shrug. 

“Oh.” Marcia replies. There’s a shift in the air, barely noticeable to the untrained eye. But of course, Anetra notices. She’s spent the last couple of months doing just that; noticing, observing, trying not to let the fumes from her lovesick heart take over the entirety of her brain space. 

Marcia’s shoulders drop, her fingers fidgeting with the hem of her little gingham dress. Her bubbling energy has faded to a manageable simmer, not quite deflated yet flat enough to be declared standard. She’s not a standard person. They wave goodbye to Aura and they’re down their cheetah Barbie.  Sugar and Spice are next to leave, having clamored for new plans the moment they’d been denied their current ones. They kiss Marcia on the head affectionately and walk off giggling, heads bent over Spice’s phone. Then Jax has plans to help at home, Luxx has a date, and suddenly it’s just the two of them standing in the dissipating crowd in front of the theatre. 

The sun has begun to attempt a breakout, slivers of light caressing the rain-blackened tar of the parking lot. There aren’t many people left, just groups of bright pink sorrow slouched over their smart phones, calculating their next moves. Marcia hasn’t looked up much other than to say her goodbyes, and when she finally does Anetra’s heart breaks for her right there. Her eyes are round and widened and brimming with tears which she immediately tries to shake off.

“This is so stupid.” She moans. She brings the back of her hand to her eyes and wipes them furiously, carefully, not wanting to mess up the makeup she’d painstakingly worked on all afternoon to make herself look even more like the doll than Anetra believes she naturally does. 

She fusses with the slight curl of her corn silk hair, then lets out an involuntary sigh of defeat.

“I was really looking forward to this.”

“I know.”

“I just feel like…what now? Everyone just left. And I get we can see it another day, it’s not the end of the world at all and it’s definitely a privileged thing to be so upset about a movie, but I just…” 

The thought lingers incomplete in the air between them. The power alarm still beeps in the distance, a nagging reminder of the night’s disappointment.

“You can feel sad, y’know. It doesn’t mean you don’t care about other people’s problems. It just means that you’re human.”

“It’s a movie about a plastic doll.” She deadpans, rolling her eyes. Anetra chuckles at the display of silly ridicule; Marcia’s feigned attitude, her crossed arms and her self-scolding. There’s still something simmering underneath her wobbling sort of improv, but it’s a glimpse back into the girl she’s come to adore. 

“It’s something you’ve been looking forward to for weeks.” Anetra’s insistent, a tentative hand on Marcia’s shoulder. “We’ve had these tickets for a while, everyone got dressed up…you’ve been planning things around this for a long time. I’d be upset too.”

“I just wish it would’ve worked out. After the week I’ve had?”

“I know.” She’d been there for it all, the passed notes between classes and the frantic texts at night, drowning in a sea of homework and student council and an audition that had her climbing into Anetra’s very old truck after school crying so hard she couldn’t talk for the first three stoplights. They’d driven that day until Marcia’s curfew, stopping only to get ice cream and fries to eat on the metal benches by the walking trail downtown. She’d FaceTimed Anetra in tears twice while trying to finish her dress (because of course Marcia had to make hers from nothing but bolts of buttery soft gingham instead of buying one. And of course, even at 2am, this endeared Anetra to no end). 

This movie is what had been holding the pretty blonde together, and Mother Nature had decided to throw another wicked little wrench into Marcia’s unmatched positivity. 

Anetra won’t stand for any of it; Marcia’s posture slumped into a slight curve, her lip-shaped purse dangling recklessly from her elbow, her pretty, prized wedges dipped into a puddle made by the storm that had ruined the night.

“Come on,” She gestures across the parking lot, where her beat up truck sits proudly next to a Tesla. “It’s not over until I say it’s over.”

“What?”

“You called her a plastic doll but she’s a lot more than that to lots of people-every theater is playing this movie right now. We just have to find one with some empty seats.” 

“It’s been selling so fast. Do you really think,”

“-Who’s supposed to be the optimist here?” Anetra smirks. The truck chugs a bit when she starts it; familiar, reliable. Marcia leans her head on the passenger window, watches as Anetra puts it in reverse. She lays one hand over the back of her seat, and for a brief moment their eyes meet. Marcia’s thankful when her eyes go back to the road, thankful for the little bit of coverage the dark clouds allow her cheeks now that they match her dress. Then, both of Anetra’s hands go back on the steering wheel and they’re on neutral ground, worrying about the poor employees having to deal with their inflated version of the night’s events.

They pull up to the town’s tiny little shoebox restaurant and Anetra opens her door with the excuse of her parallel parking (although she knows it’s not as smooth as she thinks; typically, there isn’t really a danger of being hit by a car when you’re getting out on the sidewalk.) She asks if Marcia’s hungry and takes her flattened nod as a yes, leads them into the restaurant and to a table in a unfamiliar silence. This is disappointed Marcia, but it’s also hungry Marcia-a little bit of food is bound to make her at least feel human again.

She’s right.

Once they tear into their mozzarella sticks Marcia’s laughing again, taking more than her share of sauce and pretending to fight her about it like they usually do. She’s joking about the sold-out movie, about how this is a tell-tale sign of the universe taking a strike against the gays again just for fun.  Anetra has one hand on her phone, a list of cinemas open. She’s anxious and yet she still finds it hard to concentrate on anything but the girl in front of her.

The way Marcia’s smile stirs her heart, leaves it aching to burst from her chest and shout gleefully from the rooftops…she hasn’t felt anything more sacred than this in her entire life; not when winning a match, or finding people she belongs with, or even during her first time out at a pride event. There is something about the way her body aches, her thoughts feel like they’re always skipping back to the chorus of her favorite song when Marcia leans back in her seat to ask her a question during chemistry. There is something so innately tuned into Marcia within herself that she’s recognized as maybe being love, if not a heftily settled infatuation-a big fat crush, because she has to assign a term that represents the fumbling, jittery kind of longing she feels for her friend.

So she’s locked it away a bit, listening to their friends rave about their latest date or their current flings or whoever they’re looking at on dating apps with the skilled precision of the active listener she always has been. Because she’d rather call herself delusional than speak her feelings into the air. Saying it out loud would make them real. That would mean that other voices could say the same things her brain is rattling off on repeat;

She’s out of your league

She can easily get anybody she wants

You’re a really good friend-you always have been. 

That’s who you are…

A friend.

            She’s a friend who would move mountains for the pretty blonde in front of her, would willingly relinquish the aux chord for her, or skip lunch to help her run lines.She’d even spend an hour on the internet jumping through online hoops to make sure Marcia gets to see this damn movie. Because she didn’t buy the logo t-shirt she’s currently wearing with the intent to make it a staple part of her wardrobe.

            So when they pull up to a different theatre two hours later, she’s bursting with anticipation to make her announcement.

“We’re seeing the movie.”

“What?”

“I was looking the entire time we were at dinner and I found two tickets to the 9 o’clock showing. We’re not waiting until tomorrow; not when you made a dress for this. Not when you’ve been talking about this for months on end. This is important to you. We can go right now.”

Her face lights up, and it’s brilliant. She’s smiling the bright, wide smile Anetra can’t stop thinking about, jumping in her seat and dancing all of her unbridled, happy energy into the universe. She stops herself to hug the redhead, who almost melts into the touch. Then, Marcia steps back. She’s smiling still, but with a hint of apprehension-it doesn’t reach her eyes not completely. 

“I think we have to talk first.” She says. Anetra’s heart sinks into her throat.

“Why?”

“Because I’ve been trying to say something for so long but it feels like my hints aren’t being taken the way that I want them to, and now I just need to tell you directly to your face that I really, really like you. When you do sweet, thoughtful things like this it makes it impossible to stand here and accept it graciously and not grab your face and kiss you. And if that’s not how you feel it’s really okay, it’ll be alright if you give me time. But I honestly can’t take it anymore, you and your stupid truck and the blanket in the back and your cute little Barbie t-shirt, and,”

Anetra moves closer, one hand on Marcia’s shoulder and the other on her cheek. It’s taken a moment to process exactly what’s happening, the sound of Marcia’s voice and the cut of her dress and the excitement of the surprise bringing her back to life a complete distraction to the words that are coming out of her mouth. But she’s staring at the red-haired girl now, lips slightly parted, her breath hitched in her throat. And her skin is so soft under Anetra’s fingers, her eyes are so wide, and then she lets herself decode what’s happening.

I really, really like you.

Something ignites in her, propels her to close the rest of the distance between them. The initiation is quick, Anetra fearful that she’ll chicken out. But once Marcia’s lips are on hers she doesn’t want it to stop. She’s so soft, so beautifully feminine and delicate, and her fingers thread lightly through Anetra’s freshly-dyed hair like they’re trained to do it. And then she smiles into it, sighs, and Anetra’s lost all sense of time or place or direction. She’s just Anetra, the girl with the red hair and the beat-up truck and the sense that if she didn’t have basic human needs she could stay here and kiss Marcia for the rest of her life, and that would be just fine.

“So…” Marcia’s practically singing when they finally break for air, leaning her head on her seat. She’s flushed pink, and she bites her just-kissed lip with a brow raised in curiosity. “This is a good sign, then.”

“I really like you too.” She’s still nervous to send the confession into the air, even after their kiss had shattered her ability to think straight, even with Marcia’s incandescent smile upon finally hearing the words for herself.

“I didn’t want to tell anybody.” The redhead elaborates. “I think, for me, it just…I felt ridiculous. And maybe delusional.”

Marcia laughs, then-actually tilts her head back and giggles. And then she’s reaching for Anetra’s hand, linking their fingers together with that same unmatched fluttering feeling. 

“The only delusional thing about you is that you couldn’t see my very clear motives. I have moves.”

“You have moves.” She deadpans. Marcia leans back incredulously, crosses her arms like a child.

“I tried my hardest, okay?! I’m not really used to reading signals that aren’t just gross men trying to get into my pants.”

“So you’re saying that instead of doing the technological gymnastics of trying to get these tickets all I had to do was grab your ass and call you princess?”

The blonde splutters a bit, rakes a hand through her hair. She makes a quick move for her seatbelt, tugging it over her chest.

“We can go now, I don’t really want to see this movie anyway.”

Anetra stares back at her, mouth opening and then closing abruptly before Marcia lets go, sending the belt flying back into its clip.

“I’m just kidding!” she shuffles herself over the console and takes Anetra’s cheeks in her hands, kissing her hard and pulling away with a satisfied smirk. “I’m just mad that I won’t want to do anything but kiss you for the next hour and 54 minutes.” 

The shuffles herself out of the truck, smoothing out her dress and checking her reflection in the side mirror one last time. Anetra watches in a daze, her lips tingling and her body humming, the world a soft cocktail of disbelief and absolute bliss. She starts when Marcia calls her name, opening the drivers side door with sweet-natured, dramatic impatience.

“Come on! We’re going to be late!”  

She grabs hold of Anetra’s hand, pulls her so their sides brush together as they walk. She keeps a grip on her arm, and it’s still shocking every time she leans over to kiss her cheek. The cinema lobby is covered in pink; balloon arches and streamers and big cardboard cutouts. 

“Can you take our picture?” She hands her phone to the cowgirl with enthusiasm, pulls Anetra eagerly into the life-sized box. Her arms fly around Anetra’s neck, her lips lingering on her cheek for the pose. Anetra’s arms wrap tentatively around Marcia’s waist and she’s met with her body pressed as close as it can be, the blonde squeezing her in a tight embrace. 

And as the stranger calls out an enthusiastic ‘cheese!’, Anetra has never loved this little plastic doll more.

MORRE TINA TURNER A LENDA 😭

Tina Turner, cantora americana considerada a rainha do rock n' roll, morreu aos 83 anos. A morte foi confirmada por um assessor da cantora ao site Sky News. Tina e o ex-marido, Ike Turner, que morreu em 2007, desfrutaram de um sucesso enorme no final dos anos 1960 e início dos anos 1970. Eles se divorciaram em 1987. A cantora de sucessos como "What's Love Got to Do with It" se lançou em carreira solo nos anos 1980.

Anna Mae Bullock nasceu em uma família pobre dos Estados Unidos. Aos 15 anos, foi abandonada pelos pais e cantou em boates para se sustentar.

Em uma das apresentações, conheceu Ike Turner com a banda e insistiu por um lugar de backing vocal e em pouco tempo se tornou uma das vozes principais. As músicas logo começaram a fazer sucesso e Ike e Anna Mae decidiram formar uma dupla. Com o casamento, ela adotou o nome artístico Tina Turner e, ao lado do marido, dominou o cenário da música soul nos anos 60 e 70.

a cosmic sempre foi sobre compartilhar coisas minhas com o mundo mas em algum momento acabou se tornando algo pretensioso e fora do caminho. quero voltar ao que sempre foi pra ser. janeiro acabou e eu decidi pegar de inspiração o que emergency intercom faz e reunir coisas aleatórias que me acompanharam durante os 31 dias do mês:

ouvi muito o podcast song exploder, adoro entender sobre as minhas músicas favoritas para além de letras e melodias. gostei muito de ouvir o blood orange explicando saint, a grimes falando sobre kill v. maim e as irmãs haim contando a história por trás de summer girl. dos três, o que eu achei mais interessante foi o primeiro, em que dev hynes fala sobre como andar pelas ruas da cidade aflorou a sua criatividade e o fez perceber o quanto as pessoas que estão ao seu redor podem ajudar em um processo criativo e na criação em si. em saint, dev usou vários áudios de sons da cidade e de sua população, que foram gravados em seu prórpio celular. segundo ele, estes áudios servem pra que o ouvinte se sinta ainda mais imerso na música. e, se ouvirmos atenciosamente, de fato conseguimos sentir a emoção apresentada por dev (e o cheiro de xixi que toda cidade grande tem).

lembrei de quando o aminé fez essa camiseta e fiquei imaginando como seria ouvir mrs. clean ao vivo junto de garotos brancos que 1. não conseguem assimilar que meninas também gostam de rap e 2. (nem sempre) tomam cuidado pra não aparecer no telão cantando a nword (war flashbacks de jpegmafia no primavera sound?)

assisti alguns filmes durante o mês. apesar de não achar mais que a academia tenha tanta credibilidade assim pra dizer se um filme é bom ou não, eu gosto de acompanhar a cerimônia e os indicados ao oscar, e tento ver todos os filmes até a data do evento. gostei muito de TÁR, argentina, 1985 (que, apesar de ainda não ter visto close, espero que ganhe a categoria de melhor filme internacional), triangle of sadness e the fabelmans. fora o oscar, também vi decision to leave, actual people e, assim como 90% da internet, aftersun. fui ver aftersun no meu último dia de faculdade, depois de apresentar o trabalho final e dar tchau pro campus que fez parte das minhas manhãs por 4 anos. fui sem saber nada sobre a história e peguei a sessão mais vazia do cinema mais escondido. entrei na sala meio atrasada, os trailers já passavam, e uma senhora de pelo menos 65 anos entrou logo após um grupinho de meninas cochichando sobre o paul mescal. assistimos todas em silêncio. eu comecei a chorar ali pelo minuto 20 mais ou menos, e ouvi a senhora, que sentou perto de mim, soltar umas fungadas depois da cena "i think it's nice that we share the same sky". eu entendo ela. acho que aftersun ainda está em cartaz nos cinemas de são paulo, recomendo muito ver e ouvir na tela grande.

gostei muito dessa foto que tirei de uma vaca num campo em floripa

lembrei da minha obcessão com a marina abramovic quando vi uma das fotos, e talvez a minha preferida de todas, do projeto balkan erotic epic: women in the rain. neste, abramovic explora a relação entre o seu país nativo e o erótico. quando pesquisei, li que a artista analisou diversos rituais eslavos que acontecem desde a idade média e descobriu que a nudez tem um grande papel em tudo, principalmente nos rituais para a natureza, fertilidade e chuva. gosto quando ela diz que "é a partir do erotismo que os humanos tentam se igualar aos deuses". através de alguns vídeos com poucos segundos de duração, marina junta mulheres debaixo da chuva, correndo e celebrando a antiga cultura eslava.

O ÁLBUM NOVO DO LIL YACHTY !!!!! gente sei lá. nunca ouvi uma música do lil yachty e pra falar a verdade nem sabia sobre o lançamento do álbum, mas depois de ver a 15º pessoa falando sobre, eu decidi matar a curiosidade e ouvir algo novo. sei lá. mesmo. muito bom. não consigo parar de ouvir. vi alguns dizendo que ele acabou com a carreira do kevin parker (vulgo tame impala) e sei lá. talvez. fui atrás e achei um trecho do discurso dele na listening party um dia antes do álbum sair pro mundo todo ouvir, e ele disse que queria fazer algo que fizesse com que as pessoas o levassem como um artista sério mas sem perder a sua essência e personalidade. acho que ele conseguiu. adoro os baixos e os intrumentais psicodélicos que acompanham as 14 músicas. gosto do uso do autotune e dos efeitos. sei lá. recomendo ouvir o álbum inteiro, numa tacada só, mas caso esteja com o pé meio atrás, recomendo fortemente ouvir as seguintes músicas:

em janeiro descobri que odeio a plataforma gupy. é quase um buzzfeed se ele fosse comprado pelo ceo do linkedin. duvido você me dizer uma única pessoa que já conseguiu uma vaga por lá. não aguento mais fazer testes de fit cultural e de personalidade.

o mac demarco lançou um álbum novo e eu tô meio obcecada por tudo o que ele tem a dizer sobre as inspirações para o projeto. o five easy hot dogs é um álbum instrumental, bem diferente dos últimos trabalhos do mac, que segue a sua viagem de carro pelas cidades do estados unidos. li em uma entrevista que quando chegou o momento de começar um novo álbum, mac tinha acabado de fazer um show na califórnia e ao invés de começar todo o processo em um estúdio, ele só continuou dirigindo até chegar em lugares que sentia vontade de passar alguns dias. as músicas seguem a ordem das cidades em que ele se abrigou enquanto gravavava e produzia todos os sons dentro do seu carro. achei muito legal toda a ideia de fazer o inverso que a maioria dos artistas fazem quando gravam coisas novas. aquilo tudo de se esconder no lugar mais longe e fora de acesso que consigam encontrar. mac disse que com os anos descobriu que se sente melhor e mais criativo nas ruas, entre as pessoas, criando quando ninguém sabe o que está por vir. gosto de chicago 2, crescent city e vancouver 3.

voltei a jogar hay day. sim, o jogo de fazendinha (por que eu me sinto apegada a vacas e moedas de mentira?) (alguém me vende um parafuso)

Final Deck - Major Project

I have designed a deck that shows the final branding framework which effectively communicates the app's unique identity, purpose, and features to the target audience (15-18 year olds).

First Slide

Having the brand logo nest to a pair of interface mockups will act well as a thumbnail to display what the project is, especially when it goes on my portfolio.

Second Slide

A brief summary helps to explain the primary purpose of the app and who it's targeting. I used the dark sky theme from the UI design in the app to keep a consistency with the cinema aesthetic.

The Mission

This slide helps to establish the purpose and intentions of the app. The target audience would be able to understand the overall objective of the app and how it can benefit them, which can also help to create a connection between the user and the app as it highlights the values and the reason why it was created. Furthermore, I have implemented a tilted back mockup of the lessons screen as the UI designs are presented in chronological order in relation to the user on the app. Rounded square have also been used throughout the deck as it was a key visual feature in the app.

Our Values

The title of this slide is written in a first person perspective as if it was made by a group of people because 'auteurs' is a platform that represents a collective of people, which would convince individuals to join a group of like-minded people. In regards to the slide design I switched the background and card colour so that there's a variety of different visuals to look at.

Personalised Study Plans

Although I haven't designed a set of authorisation UI designs, the users are still able to create their own personalised study plans depending on the intentions of each individual. I've used one of the question UI designs as an example to support this brand principle.

Achieve to Succeed

With gamification being one of the unique selling points of this app, it felt necessary to dedicate one of the deck slides to this aspect of the service, especially considering the fact that there are multiple elements of this type of service. Using flat smart phone mockups felt the best for displaying gamified interfaces across the slide.

Going Beyond Cinema

It felt necessary to use the black background with the stars to set the cinema aesthetic for the films screens. I displayed the main films page alongside an example of a film description, with The Super Mario Bros Movie being a film that I watched in the cinema during this project.

Rewards for Progress

This aspect of the app is something that I have always considered ever since I contacted Fox Rogers about my idea because he mentioned the importance in allowing users to earn something for every main aspects of the app; such as the lessons, tasks, challenges, project-making, achievements, etc. To allow the young learners to earn points to exchange for exclusive real-life content is a motivational way to persuade users to learn about this subject area on a fun, accessible platform.

Friendly Film Fox

The mascot is one of the most important elements of the app because the fox is a representation of the values and the mission for the platform. A gender-neutral fox also makes the app inclusive for all genders who are interested in film. Although the fox may be wearing stereotypical film director clothing such as the flat hat and scarf, it is still friendly and interactive enough for the audience demographic within the target audience.

Branding Framework

I've decided that I'm going to combine the branding framework deck (which I analysed in a previous blog post) into he final deck for this project because the deck serves as a celebration of the project and the visual identity of the app, and therefore it feels relevant to implement the conceptual approaches of the UI design. Having said that, it was then a matter of where it will be placed in the deck. As a result, I wanted to begin the branding framework after the fox mascot slide because that's when the consistent body paragraph descriptions end, and it wouldn't clash in between the brand principle slides.

Mockups

Finally, I wanted to end the deck with either a conclusion or a set of mockups on one slide. This slide can also serve as a thumbnail but I wanted to showcase the landing page so that the users know how the app would look from their initial experience.

Conclusion

This deck clearly displays the body of work I've produced for this project, and how the conceptual approach is useful for the chosen target audience. I've tried to consider the layout and presentation of each slide so that it's cohesive and consistent with the brand identity. Depending on how much time I have left from now until the final deadline, I will consider designing other UI designs that may be important for users to know what features are also made for the service.

Olá, Tumblrs, boa madrugada! São 2h da madrugada desta segunda-feira, 11 de março de 2024 e resolvi escrever sobre cidade grande e sua vantagem de morar sozinho e não depender de nada e nem ninguém! Cidade grande, além das pessoas terem mais visão, elas não ficam intrometendo na sua vida, porque a vida já é tão corrida que tempo e disposição pra isso não se tem, nem interesse! Além de tudo, morar sozinho, cozinhar sozinho, tomar aquele banho gostoso e ficar peladão no apartamento de boas é o que te deixa mais liberto, e o melhor, comer e cozinhar quando se quiser fazer , a hora que quiser fazer e sem mais! O vídeo acima é uma homenagem minha a Juiz de Fora, com o hino da cidade, onde percorri diversos pontos da cidade, que possui mais de 500.000 habitantes, da Praça da Estação aos Shoppings e áreas culturais, além de áreas adultas, com mulheres sensuais. A cidade desenvolve e cresce porque a população coloca políticos como deputados como o Noraldino Jr. da cidade para enviarem verbas para a cidade! Morar só é responsabilidade dobrado! Fazer boa comida (coisa que amo fazer, arroz a piamontese com frango empanado fica delicioso demais), além de muita comida com creme, com molhos, muito tempero, caprichado no alho e sal!

Além de tudo, se tem emissoras e afiliadas como a TV ALTEROSA, na foto abaixo, eu em frente sede da emissora, afiliada do SBT, que já postei abaixo minha paixão com o livro ALMANAQUE 35 ANOS!

A TV Alterosa fora do ar em 2002. Eu gostava mais quando ela saia fora total e pegava o SBT São Paulo, pois o SBT mostrava a GERAÇÃO DE MATERIAL, a TV Alterosa não deixava mostrar na madrugada! Eu já escrevi sobre o SBT e meu livro ALMANAQUE 35 ANOS ABAIXO, depois leiam lá, além da SKY também!

[The Keihancarl Diaries: January 20, 2024]

Hi everyone, Keihancarl here. Today I'm heading to the North Avenue Malls for the second time since the pandemic, and my first mall-hopping trip for 2024.

I decided to wear all-black right now since I feel like it. Anyway, traffic is mostly light along Commonwealth Avenue. I even get to see the old Citimall (near UP Diliman campus), ready for demolition.

Reaching SM North EDSA, I checked the hypermarket first at The Block. There's an escalator access to the second level, though there's no direct access to the supermarket area from there.

I checked Uniqlo at the second level where I bought an awesome Naruto shirt (UT). Quite pricey, but I loved the design so much that I didn't hesitate to buy it.

At the bridgeway to the North Towers, people are lining up for the exclusive artist-made collection by Korean boy band SEVENTEEN at the pop-up store right beside the Park Inn entrance. I also passed by MizuSawa (a milk tea/coffee/dessert place), but I only checked the menu at the counter.

At the North Towers, I passed by Decathlon first. I also checked Muji Cafe as well and had a cafe latte (unsweetened) and a shiopan (salted butter bread).

I also checked the shop adjacent to the cafe. I get to see the infamous tabo, which makes rounds on social media for being pricey.

Checking the rest of the North Towers, there's a sitting moose on the ground floor near the escalators.

Heading back to The Block, I visited a few shops, including Fully Booked and Bocu.

The Fully Booked branch there had a storefront renovation, though it's business as usual.

Timezone opened at the fifth level. The rest of former Fitness First's space would probably be the future location of SM Game Park (just a hunch, though).

The Block looked a lot better and more luxurious (sort of) than when it first opened back in 2008. The layout itself is also different from what it was during the pre-pandemic days.

There are interesting art murals on the bridgeway to the North Towers parking, as well as the LED tunnel on the bridgeway to the City Center.

Heading to the City Center, I only checked a couple of shops, which are the Mi store and Book Sale. I bought a couple of second-hand manga books at the latter.

The staircase at the former cinema wing had a biophilic design like most parts of the mall.

The other staircase at the cinema wing looked like something from a resort swimming pool due to the design that looks like DOST's (Department of Science and Technology) logo.

And I'm off to the Annex. The LED billboard is already gone.

Inside, I checked a few more shops, including those in the Cyberzone area. Passing by MN±LA, I saw an interesting robe jacket (a drape, as the tag says) but I didn't feel like buying it at the moment. I loved the design, though. Hoping to get my hands on it one of these days.

The glass staircase at the fourth level still fascinates me to this day. By the window, I can see the entire Sky Garden (including the Sky Dome), the upcoming Unified Grand Central Station, and the City Center + The Block. And of course, Trinoma and the buildings on top of the Vertis North Mall.

Going back to the City Center, I dropped by the National Book Store branch there and saw a light novel I previously bought. I didn't stay long, though.

I decided to check the Interior Zone first before heading to Trinoma. Nothing much to see, except for a showroom. I passed by The Block one more time and exited through the Sky Garden entrance.

The Chinese lanterns are on display. Chinese New Year is only a few weeks away.

Going to my next stop, the footbridge was already dismantled so we had to use the pedestrian crossing instead. Anyway, I did get to see the Unified Central Station from there. Before reaching my next stop, I also managed to see a tarp regarding a possible connection (from Trinoma) to the upcoming Unified Grand Central Station.

Reaching Trinoma, I decided to check Landmark Supermarket first. After that, I immediately headed to the two Fully Booked branches (I visited the old branch at the basement level first before the other, newer branch at the third level). Having visited both the old and the new branches, I think the newer branch on the third level is smaller than the old one below.

Anyway, at least it does carry the usual stuff, especially the novels and manga books. I couldn't find Osamu Dazai's No Longer Human, though (the one published by Tuttle, both novel and manga).

I also had an early dinner at Pepper Lunch at the mall's Food Choices. It's been a decade since I first had my beef pepper rice at the Power Plant Mall branch in Makati (which had closed, unfortunately). This is the second time I've ever had a beef pepper rice, and a jumbo size too.

I checked the garden area as well. Too bad, the water features near the cinema area (including the fountains, I think) are gone (I never checked the rest of the garden area). Some even had potted flowering plants in their place. I wonder if it's just a temporary setup or a permanent one.

I then head on to my final stop, Vertis North. I only checked a few shops there, including The Craft Central and Uniqlo. Oh, and there's an electric vehicle charging station outside the mall area.

I passed by Japan Town, though the large LED display appears to have been removed. Or so I thought. Still loved the wooden elements, as well as the square lamps and the tatami-inspired tiled flooring.

And it's time for me to go home. I decided to take the UV Express at the Trinoma terminal near the MRT-3 North Avenue Station. Travel time took a lot faster than expected too considering that the traffic situation along Commonwealth Avenue is mostly light with moderate traffic in some parts.

And so, I get to visit the North Avenue malls for the second time since the pandemic. I was really taking my sweet time visiting the shops in these malls, just like my last visit. Also, I was feeling a little disoriented during some parts of that mall-hopping trip. Later on, I was getting stressed over the Instagram app's greatest defects (I'll cover this in another post very soon).

By the way, did I mention Chinese New Year? Yup, since my next mall-hopping trip will take me to Binondo, but I'll visit the malls at the Ayala Center first, especially the newly-opened One Ayala Mall. It won't be long.

Possuí mania de limpeza além de alguns tocs como por exemplo: saber exatamente onde cada item está e ter agonia se alguém os tira do lugar; não anda pela faixa da direita; não pisa em tapetes com sapatos; tem de usar máscara para tirar a poeira, dentre outros. É alérgico à pêlos.

Na escola, escrevia cartas e poemas para suas paixões infantis que nunca foram escritas. Foram essas cartas que o inspiraram a tornar-se um escritor além de compositor.

Nunca usou a voz de alfa na vida e é totalmente contra esse tipo de coisa.

Diferente do que a mídia especula, não se envolveu com nenhum dos ômegas de seu antigo grupo. A situação ainda é um mistério para os de fora, não mantendo contato com nenhum deles.

A lot has happened these past few weeks. A lot of realizations and self-reflecting. Also I've gotten back into Attack on Titan. It reminds me of 2015, very bitter sweet. I was such a different person back then, it's almost surreal. I remember hanging out with Lyn and AZ. I hope Lyn's doing ok. The last time I spoke to them was probably a year ago. I remember watching Attack on Titan crack videos, Vandetta Cosplay videos, Sky High Production, the Alchemist Fox, the animated big 4, Hiccup, Jack Frost, Merida and Elsa. It's all coming back and I miss it a lot. I need to make a list of all nostalgic things, but I feel like it would take away from the nostalgia. I should download a bunch of videos/music, put it on a flashdrive, and watch it when I'm 18.

On a lighter note, I started skateboarding again, and I'm going to catsit my neighbor's cat these next few days. Last week I met up with Libby at Red Eye to study for advanced chemistry. Jackson (I think) came to fifth period and sat with Libby and I. I waved to Jackson in the parking lot. This year has been good socially- I feel like I'm myself and I know more people. I just need to work on keeping up if we lose daily contact.

For Christmas this year, I asked for:

Midterms are next week so I should prob study. I've been thinking to, I want to get a tattoo with some of my favorite anime. Very small, but as a reminder to be myself and the emotions it taught me. Haha if I died people would totally laugh at that XD. Some things I should include:

This is the final poster created for Aphrodite, acting as both the poster used to promote the movie and hang in cinemas as well as the final art piece that I will use for the end-of-year show, made using both Illustrator and Photoshop. Based upon the bad quick sketch I created a while ago, the poster showcases Shiro-Hai, Suni-Vel and Turbine stood atop a large building with the skyline of CROWN Module in the background, looking on triumphantly towards something, presumably the space sky, whilst in the background the transparent head of Via-Kai can be seen ominously looking down, with JADE flying in the background as if she’s gonna strike. Additionally, Aphrodite herself is present in the background as her incognito Stars form, which would be seen as ordinary stars to those before seeing the movie (if it actually existed) due to the true identity of them being a massive spoiler. The logo is present below it with a gentle white glow, with the Disney • Pixar above it to show the companies behind it, as well as a tagline and release date reminiscent of actual Pixar releases from the early 2000s. I love how this turned out! It looks exactly like (if not better than) how I envisioned it in my mind, and I’ll be proud to see it printed in an A2 frame, it’ll make me feel proud of all of the work and thought I put into Aphrodite.

The Lexi Cinema & Hub - New Logo on the Edwardian front facade by @zosz Kensal Rise, NW10 Refurbishment and extension of London’s only social enterprise cinema, The Lexi. A treasured asset within the local community, The Lexi Cinema tasked RISE Design Studio with revitalising a 99 square metre parcel of vacant land in the rear car park of the existing Edwardian gabled brick theatre. An environmentally-driven second cinema and bar was conceptualised to accommodate the growing community programme and help drive revenue for The Lexi’s ecological charity efforts. Brent Council were instrumental in supporting the project – titled The Lexi Hub – through continuous advisory and dialogue, ensuring planning policy and community needs were balanced.
