I just watched a whole Hyundai commercial for more spider-verse animation but I'm so obsessed with the fact that they got Gwen and Miles' voice actors to stiffly promote an electric car

in a nutshell the other mutations included making him stronger faster more durable and have better healing, as well as improve his senses (including his spider sense) as well as allow him to feel vibrations on both his skin and his webs and use any part of body to be sticky compared to just his hands and feet and make organic webs and release stingers from his wrists when under stress that release paralyzing venom and also have night vision and i think maybe some other stuff i forgot

It starts with the low call of the mourning doves.

The day is the coolest it will be and the shadows creep along the street as they run from the sun. It's always a distinct smell that lingers in the air, but one that can only be described as summer. Harkening back to the days of your youth, to long days spent doing nothing while complaining about the heat, to laughs shared with your friends while doing stupid shit, to tears shed because of sunburns and exhaustion.

Your body carries with it memories that you have since forgotten, memories that can return at the drop of a hat thanks to the specific combination of the sun on your skin and the call of the doves and the intro to that hit song from years ago. The particular sound of ice clinking against your cup or the feel of juice dripping down your chin after biting into a piece of your favorite fruit or the smell of chlorine or salt or dirt, mixing into a body of water that hits you just right.

It starts with the low call of the mourning doves, piercing your heart with stunning precision, knocking the breath from your lungs, even if just for a moment.

#there's this specific combination of sensations that just #take me back to when i was six with my cousin playing in front of his friend's house with trees that shaded the entire street #as the caw of a crow came moments before the call of the mourning dove #and another wherein i remember visiting my sister at the house where she grew up when i was four #the old stuffy feeling of the glass displays with porcelain dolls not meant for children and how everything was tinged blue #the call of my sister before she dragged me out of the house and into the sun (and man i've always hated the sun) #the scrape of my knees on the pavement as i tripped and the laugh of the best friend who she no longer talks to #the smell of the evergreen hedges that bordered the property offering nothing but home to spiders and lizards and the like #then falling asleep in the park as a teenager as i waited for my friend to come out; the feeling of safety that has since been torn from me #the grass prickled the skin of my arms and legs and the heat was unbearable but it was worth it and i would've done it time and again #and they're all so fucking visceral as though happening only yesterday #x:ix

is there an already thought out plot line? Like is there a list of things that you're going down as you make comics?

hooh! i always do have a checklist of little storylines and posts, but it's more flexible than you think, and sometimes i don't wind up getting to do all the things i planned (c'est tragique!)

two cancelled items on the checklist as of post-halloweeny (but i might do later along the line... or next year... maybe... maybe...) teen wade's halloweeny flashback spectacular (aka the first time wade wilson put on a mask) the six-armed spider-man arc (really sad about this one. the scripts are so. so so so so soooo funny) sad spaghetti boy hours (aka peter confides in wade how he's feeling after "going public") the resolution of the venom take-over (aka deadpool fails miserably at actually making any progress) couples yoga (aka wade and peter have a soul-searching conversation and actually do make progress) wade's next therapy sessions (heavy duty) wade gets a new tailor (and a new outfit) the boys are back in town (deadpool back in action) peter finally persuades wade to visit eleanor the boys move out of aunt may's house (and into the baxter building) wade realises he's really good with kids, actually peter parker goes back to midtown high spider-man has another britney moment (in the worst way) spider-man and deadpool break-up (for real) (not clickbait)

as for anything that comes further than that, you're just going to have to stay tuned...
