“I don’t know how to explain, but I had a dream… (…) When I woke, I went to the Chantry’s gardens, as I always do. But that day, the rose bush in the corner had flowered. Everyone knew that bush was dead. It was grey and twisted and gnarled - the ugliest thing you ever saw, but there it was - a single, beautiful rose. It was as though the Maker stretched out his hand to say ‘Even in the midst of this darkness, there is hope and beauty. Have faith.’”
– Leliana on why she joined forces with the Warden (Dragon Age: Origins)
And with the 18 we also conclude the Sketching section. Due to the subtle trouble with getting the pastel pencils to draw, it was a special challenge to draw a picture with all the sketching utensils together. This time I decided to put the pastel pencils on before I started on the outlines and shading with charcoal. To be fair, that worked a lot better. After having Carl in the Advent Challenge twice now, this time it's Leliana's turn as a motif, as her hair also went really well with the pastel tones - and because I was still missing Nightingales Eyes in the background music ;)
One of the best pieces from the soundtrack in my opinion <33
I was replaying Leliana’s Song DLC to get the armor (lost it after reinstalling the game), and now that i’ve played a BIT of Inquisition (jeeez it’s so huge and overwhelming and lonely!) i've caught Nightingale’s Eyes in the soundtrack! I've no idea how and why they’ve reimplemented old pieces of soundtrack into a newer game, but i’m not crazy, right! I’ve looked it up and other people have noticed the same. (Plays when Leliana is escaping from prison, called Sorrow in the official Album.)
Leliana is my preferred choice for the Divine. Probably also because I prefer to play mages and she supports to free them from the Circles. I think the idea of her breeding nugs in addition to her duties as Divine pretty funny.
