The touhou fangame I made for indiepocalypse is now 100% free on itch.io!!

TOUHOU: LONELY LOVELY BONFIRE is a uniquely circular danmaku-style shooting game, starring Marisa Kirisame and Fujiwara no Mokou battling in a rotating arena. It's short - a game takes about 5 minutes to complete - but going for a high score will require some mastery.

Designing danmaku for the first time was amazing and so was getting a chance to rearrange a bunch of great Touhou themes ~ Please check it out and fight over high scores with your friends!

You can pay-what-you-want on itch.io, or pick it up as part of Indiepocalypse #47 along with a bunch of other cool games!

Heya someone personally recommended your blog for all the art all cool concepts of characters creation and I have to pass here fo say I really really love your style! It's like you really have the great base of gunoid characters that could be in many scenarios, I specially got a vibe these could be from some sort of "classic shmup game" at times, amazing stuff! I wonder if you had any experience with these if that would make sense

thank you so much! I feel flattered for your comment. and yes, i'm not big on shump's but I've played my fair share of them.

Some inspo for me are the Death Smiles and Dodonpachi games, kinda combining mecha and dollcore aesthetics. you can kinda see that in the stuff i make.

Yasushi Suzuki is also a really big inspiration. Ikaruga, Radiant Silvergun and the Sin a Punishment games (not shmup but whatever) are one of my favourites.

Also Zero Ranger is pretty cool too!! kinda off-topic but just wanna mention it lol

Recently the game my team and I have been working on for the past 3 years got released on Steam!

It’s a sci-fi shoot-em-up (shmup) with roguelike elements so if you’re a fan of either one of the genres chances are that you’re gonna have fun playing it! We're in Early Access and will be for a while longer while we develop new features for the game. Currently, all 3 acts and story are fully playable with 2 distinct ship classes. We also have a demo available if you wanna check it out first ;D
