Thoughts after watching Station 19 6x04, buckle up folks spoilers alert:

Maya is overworking herself because the only way she knows is through, even if it hurts her, hopefully this is her wake up call to turn things around. I find it funny that after bad mouthing her they are all defending her. Like cook but a bit late i guess. A truce with Carina? I guess this is going

Sullivan and Ross are playing a dangerous game and it’s going to catch them sooner than later, i’m not surprised about Sullivan, that man only care about himself, i’m wondering when is he going to stab Ross in the back to gain something from it… Guess that’s something for 6B

The call was interesting, lots of action, it was nice to see. I’m surprised Theo tried to bond with Maya after what he thought of her without barely knowing her but oh well at least he spoke the truth about Beckett not caring about his team at all. Allowing Maya to work like that was super dangerous

Oh Jack and Eva, they are the definition of self destructive, Jack is dangling at a very delicate place because of all the alcohol and pills and obviously Eva has her own issues but at least i hope he gets help, i mean he’s half way there i guess.

I’m wondering what’s gonna happen with Travis and his campaign, like obviously he wants to beat Dixon but does he actually wants to be a Mayor? Also something that probably will be solved on 6B for the looks of it…

I find it funny how Warren tells Maya she’s being reckless, like seriously man? Out of all people? You? 😂

I think that’s it for the most part, i’m excited to see what’s gonna happen with Maya and Carina, obviously they are going through a rough path and finding their way back to happier and lighter moments. Little by little the team realizes that she needs help. I’m also assuming Jack will be on a better path since the team is actually willing to help him and still wondering how the drinking thing with Beckett will unfold. Catch ya next week!

Shadow and Bone Season 2 premieres March 16, 2023 on Netflix

Eric Heisserer and Daegan Fryklind (Co-Showrunners / Executive Producers / Writers) & Leigh Bardugo (Author / Executive Producer) on what fans can expect this season:

HEISSERER: The most wonderful thing about Season Two is that we get to advance the story of these characters that we'd left in precarious positions at the end of Season One. There's a lot of potential for them this season. They have to face the consequences for their actions, and then they get to meet new people along the way. The Grishaverse also expands in this season, both in mythology and in characters. In doing so, we expand the world, we go to new locations, we visit Novyi Zem and Shu Han, and those are all integral to the narrative.

FRYKLIND: We've also really dug into more of the mythology this season in terms of the amplifiers, but also the creator of the amplifiers, Morozova, who he was, what his backstory is, and how he ties into this world. We go out and we go deeper.

BARDUGO: I think the readers now trust our writers the way that I do. This season I was able to step back and put the show more firmly in their hands. I think when we approached Season One, a lot of people were like, "It's impossible. It can't be done. Why would you bring SHADOW AND BONE and SIX OF CROWS together?" And I think now, we have that trust. And I think it's going to be very, very exciting for them to see the way that trust pays off in Season Two. Every part of the Grishaverse is coming into play. We are going to get to see some incredible new characters. We're going to see characters interacting with each other, questing with each other, fighting and laughing with each other, who we never got to see together in the books. And I think that's a unique thing about this show. Readers are not only going to be surprised by the way that these storylines crash into each other, they're never going to know where the next move is coming from—and that actually was a pleasure for me because I got to be surprised by my own stories.

You know I frequently think about what Magnus Archive entities different characters from things would be warlocks for but I don’t think I’ve ever really talked about any of my thoughts on it before. Maybe I should start doing that, just for fun. Someone might find it interesting. This one is for IEYTD because I don’t expect this hyperfixation to die very soon. Spoilers for all the games. Oh and if you want to use this as inspiration for some weird crossovers you can, but please tell me if you do, because I wanna see it.

Agent Phoenix: The End This one is especially fitting if you think of the time loops as being in universe, stuck dying again and again, but it works even without that. Constantly close to death, feeling the fear of death, but never actually dying. Causing others fear because their friends have to deal with grief and their enemies have to be terrified every time they survive something they shouldn’t have. You could make an argument for The Beholding, you can for most protagonists, but it doesn’t make as much sense to me.

Handler: The Beholding He watches his agents do such dangerous things and can’t do much more than watch. He can help in someways but not too many. I imagine it would also be uncomfortable for Zoraxis agents to know they’re being watched by someone who they can’t see, someone other than the agent in front of them. Alternatively, he could be The Web. (“A mere puppeteer, they only enslave you,”) I just don’t think that works as well since he also has to answer to The Agency and he doesn’t have any malicious intent with his manipulations.

Dr. Zor: The Web Constantly orchestrating schemes from the shadows, has no loyalty to anyone and will kill their highest ranks without remorse if they interfere with their plans, too clever to ever be caught, and knows what Phoenix will do well enough to leave messages for them. Could also make arguments for The Stranger, The Beholding, The End, and The Extinction, but I think all of those connect back to their plotting and masterminding.

Daniel Sans: The Corruption Very minor character but I felt like adding him here. He made a super virus. That’s it that’s all I’ve got.

Zoraxis AI: The Buried Specifically the one in the escape pod. Does this even count as a character? No idea, but you can’t tell me that escape pod doesn’t sound like it would be the subject of someone’s statement if they got out of it alive.

Hivemind: The Corruption He’s literally just bees. Like, a bunch of bees. His name is Hivemind. What else can I even say?

Solaris: Uh The Vast Maybe? Because space? I’ll be honest I’m not really sure about this one, if anyone has any ideas I’d love to hear them.

The Fabricator: The Desolation She seems to enjoy the pain she causes with her inventions, whereas some of the scientists in game seem more like they’re just hurting people for the sake of their science. I’d also definitely accept The End for her since death traps are kind of her main thing.

John Juniper: The Stranger He’s got the masks, the acting and lying, he impersonates people, it seems like a perfect fit honestly. I guess he could maybe work for The Spiral but that’s mostly because it’s so similar to The Stranger.

Gibson: The Beholding Ok this one might sound a bit weird but hear me out. Phoenix pretends to be Gibson for a reason, his radio allows him to eavesdrop and he probably does eavesdrop just so he won’t miss Juniper’s commands. Gibson is just a butler, but he hears all about these worldwide conspiracies and gets caught in the crossfire, and there really isn’t much he can do about it. Except threatening to share the things that he’s heard, which is very affective, because he’s heard a lot of important secrets.

Shawn in HR: The Beholding Honestly he really does give me archive assistant or object storage vibes. Just doing his job hearing about and sorting the horrors. The big difference is that the horrors in this situation are corporate espionage and conspiracies.

Dr. Prism: The Extinction Ok once again, this may seem a bit weird, but hear me out. Her main goal in game is to replace the agents with robots and there is an element of humanity being replaced to The Extinction, not just everyone dying. Then there’s Zor’s betrayal destroying all her robots at once. Then she helps Phoenix save all the agents in the world from death. Even if it’s never an extinction of humanity she certainly has experience with extinctions. An alternate might be The Hunt because of her obsession with revenge and killing Phoenix or Zor, and the Agency trying to track her down.

Robutler: The Stranger or The Spiral He just seems so friendly and happy to talk to you while he attempts to kill you.

Ollie: The Lonely I swear this isn’t just because Ollie’s voice reminds me of Alexander J Newall’s. The poor guy just got abandoned in the ocean for like at least a month. His coworkers and bosses seem to be pretty mean to him too.

Director Morales: The Web He really is just running The Agency behind the scenes. We really don’t hear much about him orchestrating anything but maybe that’s just because he’s really good at it. Out of all these characters, he would probably be the creepiest to me if he was actually a warlock for an entity.

The Phantom: The Web We really don’t know much about them but they manage to leave coins for Phoenix to find everywhere they go knowing that they’ll find them. Very Web like behavior. Maybe The Hunt. The coin thing is kinda like a scavenger hunt and they do have to track down Phoenix to leave those clues.

#You could probably make all these characters The End if you wanted to #the game’s named after death for a reason #but that’s not as fun nor as fitting for most of them #Oh and about Ollie’s voice it’s not really his voice itself that reminds me of Alex but something in his delivery #Like something about the emphasis and tone sound a lot like him and his characters to me #ieytd #I expect you to die #the magnus archives #ranting #If you have thoughts on this wether you agree with me or not I am very open to hearing them and discussing it with you btw #tma

It feels like it’s been ages since i’ve spoken about Station 19 but finally we had 6x01. I’ll go over my thoughts so spoilers ahead:

I think most of the attention was drawn to Maya and Carina. There’s so much to unpack with these two, from them trying again for a baby (thank God the writers listened and our favorite wives took another road, you know the more realistic one in this case). With Maya she’s clearly angry and frustrated and obviously that’s something that affects everything in her life including her marriage, she has been able to manage it but since it backfired so badly i get where this anger is coming from. From this episode i got that Carina is angry too, but her emotions are obviously different from Maya, both of them coming from abusive household it shows how they have decided to deal with all of this. I’m so glad Carina is back to her old self because babying Jack is the least i want to see from them.

Which brings me to: Jack! I was sad for him (in some parts bc he went through so many hard stuff) but it seems he doesn’t want to get better and he does not want to own responsibility for his actions. Andy stood by him and he goes and lies to her. He needs to work on his emotions and own them. I hate how the show goes: oh poor Jack but he’s never assuming responsibility for what he does, i’m hoping this is a wake up call for him, women in his life are not supposed to be his savior.

Oh Sullivan, what am i going to do with you, they are still pitching the whole Sullivan is a hero and he can do no wrong. It bothers me to no end that he pretends he wouldn’t have done the same, like if you’re ruthless, please by all means own it, don’t try to make excuses about it! Was Maya wrong? Well yes, but that does not make him a hero, if anything he’s being a hypocrite. I don’t know how this is going to play out since i thought Maya and Andy were going to battle head to head for being Captain but Beckett is here still so idk, it seems that Bishop vs Sullivan is on and of course i’m supporting my smol olympian firefighter all the way.

For the rest? I liked Vic and Theo hyping up Travis, he’s such a good firefighter, let’s see how everything plays out with Dixon. Do i think he’ll win? Idk but i want Travis as a firefighter :( Also i like Ben but i kinda hate when he’s like oh i’m playing by the rules but it’s only okay when i break them, since i’m doing it for the greater good. Yes, maybe he was right, maybe not, they were both doctors and able to control the situation but come on, i don’t like when he decides when it’s right to break the rules.

Wallace Shawn as John Sturgis (season 1–present), a college physics professor whose class Sheldon attends as his first college course. Peculiar children[edit]

Asa Butterfield as Jake Portman, a 16-year-old American teenager and Abe's grandson. He visits Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children and is given, by Miss Peregrine, the task/promise of protecting the children. Like his grandfather, Jake has the ability to see the invisible Hollows.

Butterfield also portrays Mr. Barron's disguise as Jake[9]

Louis Davison as Victor Bruntley, Bronwyn's late brother who had the same ability as her. He was killed by a hollow infiltrator prior to the events in the film, and was briefly brought back to life by Enoch.[10]

MOST HATED OPPONENT Buddy Rose. While Jannetty isn’t exactly thrilled with Michaels, he holds a special dislike for Rose. The Rockets feuded with Rose and Doug Somers in the AWA, and Jannetty will never forget their heated encounters. He was especially irritated that Rose never gave the Rockers the respect they deserved.

TOUGHEST OPPONENT Tully Blanchard. Jannetty long admired Blanchard from afar, and got a chance to face him firsthand when The Rockers feuded with Blanchard and Arn Anderson. The Brainbusters stood in the way of Michaels and Jannetty’s WWF World tag team title aspirations, and they never could break through for the belts.

GREATEST MATCH May 17, 1993, vs. Shawn Michaels. Revenge was well over a year in coming for Jannetty, and he got it over his former tag team partner. Michaels’ ego was his downfall, as Jannetty took advantage of a critical error and rolled him up for the pin. It was his first WWF title of any kind and his first singles title since 1985.

THE RECENT WWF Intercontinental champion has always been an outstanding athlete... At 5'11", 230 pounds, he compensates for his lack of size with outstanding scientific skills and an exciting aerial attack... Is native of Columbus, Georgia, has one brother and three sisters... Was a standout at Hardaway High School, where he played linebacker and running back on the football team in the fall and wrestled (at) Georgia on a wrestling scholarship... Attended for two years, both times advancing to the NCAA championships at 178 pounds... Got his big break in 1984, when he was approached by Central States promoter Bob Geigel... Decided to turn pro after his second year of college... Was trained by Jerry Oates... Earned a victory in his first pro match, pinning Roger Kirby in 10 minutes... Teamed with Tommy Rogers to defeat The Grapplers for the Central States tag team title in 1984... He also held the belts two other times, with Bulldog Bob Brown and Shawn Michaels... During that time, Jannetty and Michaels formed a fateful alliance: Whomever made it to a major territory first would get in touch with the other.

Jannetty's first individual title came on September 22, 1985, when he defeated Mr. Pogo for the Central States belt. Lost the title before joining the AWA. In early 1986, shortly after arriving in the AWA, he kept his promise and called Michaels, who immediately joined him in Minneapolis, then the federation's base. They originally wanted to call themselves The American Express, but settled on The Midnight Rockers because of their late night partying habits and love for rock 'n' roll. Though they insisted they weren't copying The Rock 'n' Roll Express, Jannetty once filled in for Rick Morton and teamed with Robert Gibson at Central States. Jannetty and Michaels were an instant hit, both with the fans and on the mat.

Lost a controversial match to Buddy Rose and Doug Somers at WrestleRock '86. The Rockers appeared to have won the AWA World tag team belts on July 13, 1986, when Michaels pinned Somers, but officials ruled Rose, not Somers, was the legal man in the ring, and the decision was reversed. The Rose and Somers vs. Rockers feud intensified until January 27, 1987, when Jannetty and Michaels finally won their first team title. Jannetty covered Somers for the win after a perfect double-dropkick knocked Rose out of the ring... The Rockers, ragingly successful, issued an open challenge to any team in the world. The move backfired when they lost the belts in a shocking upset to Boris Zukhov and Soldat Ustinov on May 25 in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

After the title changed hands several times, Jannetty and Michaels feuded with the "Original" Midnight Express, Dennis Condrey and Randy Rose... The Rockers regained the belts on December 27, 1987, in Las Vegas, when AWA President Stanley Blackburn overruled the Midnights' controversial win over the Rockers. That reign ended on March 19, 1988, with a loss to Pat Tanaka and Paul Diamond... Having done all they could in the AWA and solidly established as a valuable commodity, Jannetty and Michaels jumped to the WWF in 1989 and changed their names to The Rockers.

Feuded with The Hart Foundation and The Brainbusters, proved the value of skill and speed over power when they won matches against Warlord and Barbarian... But The Rockers had to take a step back when they lost to the recently formed team of Jim Powers and Paul Roma at SummerSlam '90. They appeared on the decline, losing important matches, and Michaels underwent surgery on his right knee... But just when things looked bleakest, The Rockers defeated The Hart Foundation on October 30, 1990, in a best-of-three falls match for the WWF World tag team tide. However, WWF President Jack Tunney nullified the verdict because the top rope was knocked off its cornerpost during the second fall, causing the ropes to sag. That was the turning point in The Rockers' WWF tenure.

They defeated The Barbarian and Haku at WrestleMania VII, but couldn't overcome their disappointment with Tunney's decision. People started doubting their menial toughness, and Jannetty and Michaels started doubting each other. Dissension overcame The Rockers and they began arguing during their matches. The breakup finally happened on Brutus Beefcake's "Barber Shop": Jannetty and Michaels shook hands, apparently having reconciled their differences, when Michaels suddenly blindsided him. The Rockers were finished, Michaels' career soared, Jannetty's career sagged.

First, he was injured when Michaels threw him through a plate-glass window. Michaels went on to win the Intercontinental title. Jannetty left the WWF and, it seemed, wrestling... He returned to the federation in October 1992. Jannetty came to ringside during Michaels' match against Jim Brunzell on October 12 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and antagonized his ex partner, who was shocked to see him. The following night in Regina, Jannetty defeated Jim Powers, and the comeback was up to speed.

In late October, he stormed the ring and attacked Michaels. To avoid being hit, Michaels pulled his valet, Sensational Sherri, in front of him and Jannetty broke Sherri's mirror over her head. Days later, Michaels won the I-C title from Bret Hart. The former Rockers finally took their feud into the ring.

Sherri began showing up at ringside to support Jannetty. He was pinned by Michaels at the Royal Rumble in January, Sherri interfered and accidentally hit Jannetty with her shoe. Again, he dropped out of the picture.

On May 17 at WWF Monday Night Raw in New York, Michaels issued an open challenge and put his title on the line. Jannetty, wearing a hooded sweatshirt, answered the call; Michaels, shocked when he realized it was Jannetty, was goaded into accepting the challenge and paid the price. Curt Hennig came to ringside and hit Michaels in the face with a towel, Jannetty rolled him up for the pin... The Rockers had come full circle.

Once rising singles stars, then aspiring tag team partners, then partners and finally enemies, Michaels and Jannetty had traded the I-C title. For the first time in a long time, Jannetty had the upper hand. It lasted less than three weeks, when Michaels regained the belt on June 6 in Albany, New York... This war of former partners seems a long way from being settled.
