and rather than taking away from this that he is a very fascinating multi-faceted character who internalises too much blame (see: loathing the part of him that is capable of immense violence, although being capable of violence is an entirely neutral characteristic) BUT ALSO rejects any accountability for the consequences of his own actions

who outsources murder to his crew / fires / etc., and thinks this makes him less responsible

and this is due in part to very sympathetic reasons (the abuse and trauma he suffered as a child, and his atrocious mental health)

but he is a not a trustworthy narrator when it comes to his own culpability, and is still responsible when he chooses to hurt people -

...you instead decided that no, Ed's right, starting fires absolutely doesn't kill people, only the fire itself is responsible.

This year has been insane for me. I started writing on this app, met some amazing people, formed amazing friendships, got accepted to grad school, got married, and much more.

I’ve struggled a LOT this year with family and irl friendships and depression, along with imposter syndrome and anxiety over what the rest of my life will look like…

But through it, I found this website and so many stories, I got back into my passion for writing… hell working on fanfiction and some of y’all’s own writing inspired me to start an original romance novel ! (It’s very shoddy but I still love it)

I’m so grateful for so many of you but I have to call out of a few of you…bc Jesus Christ id lose my head without y’all.
