series 3 of doctor who should have had the roles reversed. have martha kiss him to confuse the judoon. have martha say yes to joining the tardis but only one trip - she's got things to do. have the doctor learn from series 2, say what he means and mean what he says. tell martha the 'one trip' is fun and all, as was extending it, but the truth is, that most people travel with him full time. and he would like that. have an organic conversation with that because let's be real, there is no part in the show where it feels authentic for martha to request something that is specifically a character trope. we the audience know it's standard for companions to stay and travel in the tardis, but at no point does it feel natural within the show's narrative. anyway, reverse the roles. make martha's family realise that it's not fair to constantly put her in the middle, flesh out francine's betrayal arc more so it's fully realised, create more conflict with leo taking his dad's side, and tish taking her mothers and by the time of the end of the series, martha feels at ease with her family.
make the doctor to fall in love with martha just as he did with rose, and have martha return his feelings but not pursue it, because frankly the doctor keeps attatching himself to human companions and hasn't really figured who he is outside of the time war. he imprinted on rose. now he's doing it with martha. so, when he meets donna, have him find a dynamic to fully establish who he is. only...to rely on it a little too much and find himself even more lost than before when he loses donna too. then commence timelord victorious.

The outtake from series 4 where Joe Lycett makes his Mel & Shoe gag and Greg steals it with the additional footage from the aired episode, where Alex steals the joke.
It's great to see the oddly big laugh it gets on the aired episode from Greg and the audience when it's just a silly pun but I love this outtake and how they got the gag in the show.

The added scene in the kitchen between Gerald and Siegfried was packed! Can’t believe that was a scene they cut in the UK! First, Gerald could not comfort Audrey. She threw herself into that hug and he walked over to turn off the radio. Dude, not that I want to help you, but hold her! No doubt in my mind Siegfried would hold her tightly. Just as Audrey threw herself into initiating the Christmas kiss with Gerald in the S3 CS, she threw herself into this tepid “kind of engagement” and, in this episode, ran into the embrace with Gerald for comfort from the pain she was feeling after tendering her resignation. Each time, our dear Audrey was left underwhelmed. Gerald cares for Audrey. He’s a good man. But there is no way he can care for her the way Siegfried does. Siegfried knows it, thus the scene between Siegfried and Gerald where Siegfried scolds Gerald for not knowing about Rock’s ailment. Siegfried doubts Gerald’s ability to care for Siegfried’s beloved Mrs. Hall. All they’ve been through, and this home they’ve created. The camera lingered during the two scenes where Gerald takes Audrey’s hand, including the kitchen scene. Neither instances seem to provide the comfort or reassurance to Audrey that she is making the right decision in leaving Skeldale and, really, Siegfried. Siegfried and Audrey have always been the de facto matriarch and patriarch of Skeldale. They are the foundation for the Skeldale family. Kids come and go. That’s life. They leave the nest to grow, but mom and dad remain. Kids count on that stability. We watched Siegfried fear what all the change will mean to his beloved Skeldale crew. When Audrey had the chance to finally move on and get a second chance at having a life outside the place that has been her home, she just couldn’t leave the man with whom she has built this foundation. Yes, she wanted to support Helen. But it all comes down to not leaving Mr. Farnon alone on the homefront.

S4E12 & S4E13 - The Stolen Earth & Journey's End
Tumblr media
★★★★☆
This is like Doctor Who: The Greatest Hits and I bloody love it. The Doctor? Check. Companions past and present? Check. Torchword? Daleks? The universe about to blow up again? Check, check and check.
Is this the strongest two-parter finale? No. While The Stolen Earth builds up a very horrifying tension with a decent cliffhanger, in Journey's End there's a very rushed resolution that seems unsatisfying - Donna flicking a couple of switches ends the entire Davros strategy and reality bomb? After entire planets were blinked out of existence? But this is is less about plot and more about character fan service. So I'm reviewing how they ended up.
Jackie and Pete 2.0 - they are together and expecting little Pete 3.0. Cute. 5 stars.
Sarah Jane and her kid - safe at home with K9 and Mr Smith. Love that for them. Sarah Jane got her proper goodbye with the Doctor, finally. 5 stars.
Captain Jack and the Torchwood gang - they live another day to keep saving Wales from more sex aliens. Class. 4 stars.
Martha - fuck you RTD for pairing her up with Mickey the Tin Dog. What happened to being engaged to hot Lucifer doctor?? My girl Martha always with the thankless job. 1 star.
Rose - as if Rose hadn't suffered enough heartbreak on a beach, here we are again. The real Doctor is there and dangled in front of her, but here's his Metacrisis human version that she has to settle for knowing that the real Doctor is going to continue on his adventures again and not with her...again. She gets to fix a man, yippee! It's not the happy ending I remember it being when I watched it as a teen. 2 stars.
Donna - oh Donna. You grew on me so much this season and to have your memories wiped in this way is beyond cruel. Hers is the ending of the series that we mourn. All those adventures in time and space that basically never happened. Because you know she's going back to her dull life in Chiswick where her self-esteem drops and her mum berates her all the time. It was painful and so 4 stars for that.
QUOTE: "I just want you know there are worlds out there safe in the sky because of her. And there are people living in the light and singing songs of Donna Noble a thousand million light years away. They will never forget her. While she can never remember. But for one moment, one shining moment, she was the most important woman in the whole wide universe." "She still is. She’s my daughter."

That moment where they turn to see Klaus standing in the doorway after they just killed his brother feels like a scene out of a horror movie, and that's exactly how it should've ended

I’ve just had a theory.
What if the no-things are an evolved version of the Midnight entity.
HEAR ME OUT FOR A SEC.
We never see the midnight entity and we never technically see the no-things, we only see them if they are copying Donna or the Doctor.
In Midnight, they mention that the Midnight entity has been ‘waiting in the cold’ so I’m assuming the midnight entity is cold, AND when Donna and the Doctor are being copied the first few times, they get cold.
ALSO, in Midnight, when they were talking about the ‘next step’ for what the entity could do next, the Doctor thought the next step would be BECOMING them. It was never said if the Midnight entity would become a copy or if they literally become the person.
the main reason I thought of this is because everyone is saying that Wild Blue Yonder is like Midnight 2 so ye.
