My partner, Scott has a wonderful channel called NerdSync. As I’ve slowly creeped into more of his videos in the tail end of 2022, it’s fitting that we’re starting 2023 with a video covering an all time favorite of mine, Whisper of the Heart! Bonus points that I got to flex my rusty writer (and YouTuber) skills and share what it means to be an artist not in constant pursuit of a singular craft, loving someone who is constantly striving to perfect their own.

BW Vs NerdSync: About That Velma Series
BW Media Spotlight Vs NerdSync: About That Velma Series
Yep a NerdSync video is article fodder again. As much as I want him to consider me if ever deep-dives Seduction Of The Innocent because I’ve been suffering alone ever since that summer I used his videos many times before and probably will after. I don’t have to always agree with someone to find them interesting, though we do agree enough that I keep following. I just hope someday he’s able to…

Since we talked about the infamous nose armor on this week’s episode, I thought a little background info might be nice.

This week I'm joined by Scott Niswander of Nerdsync to discuss history, tangential learning, Hamilton, and our love of heist movies.
Later we move on to the topics of cooking and vinyl vs digital when it comes to music.
Scott is best known for making comic book related videos on Nerdsync, and I'm best known for that time at Stacy Johnson's pool party where I belly flopped so hard I had to be taken to the ICU.
Big ups to Jay-Z and Tidal for sponsoring this video!

NerdSync Fixes Superman's Black Snyder Suit
BW Media Spotlight cheers on as NerdSync Fixes Superman's Black Snyder Suit
I’ve made no secret that I hate Snyder’s version of the Superman costume, and I’m not a fan of his take on Superman either. (Before the Snyder fans get on my case I have stated time and again from the first review I did of the movie that it’s a good superhero movie but a terrible Superman movie. You will not convince me otherwise. Don’t even waste your keyboard’s lifespan.) Superman wears bright…

New podcast with me! I join Scott Niswander of NerdSync for A Month of Monsters, where he watches Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed for 31 days through October - and a few more days after that, as he's missed a few. I discuss deleted scenes, 2004 fashions, and the mystery of Shaggy's pants!
