This is the best outcome in the history of outcomes, maybe ever.

I love the way how Daniil said something like « If Andrey, Casper or Diego are mad at me after a match, that’s okay, that’s on me, I’m 100% at fault » but about Sascha « he should look at himself in a mirror ». ☠️

✅️ Alexander won his third match in Miami against Khachanov 6-1 6-4
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
What a performance! Alexander was truly phenomenal last night. After such a long wait, he took on a tough opponent in Khachanov, who he last faced in his Olympic Gold Medal match three years ago. Absolutely every aspect of Sascha's game was firing last night: his serving and returning were incredible, he was strong both on his forehand and backhand side, and demonstrated impeccable skill at the net to claim the win in straight sets without facing a break point.
In the first set, Sascha started strong, breaking at 2-1 for 3-1, which he extended to 4-1 with a hold of serve. Incredibly, he then obtained a second break to lead 5-1, allowing him to serve out the first set 6-1.
And Alexander started the second set in similarly impressive style, proving too strong for his opponent to break for 2-1 and held for 3-1. He held this break throughout, going on to serve for the match at 5-4. And just like his last match, with a beautiful touch at the net, Alexander sealed the victory 6-1 6-4.
That was such a statement win for Sascha, and I'm so, so proud of him. It's a shame that he had to come on court so late, but fortunately he will get a day off today. With this win, Alexander now advances to the quarter-finals, where he will face Marozsan. Hopefully he has enough time to rest and prepare so he can bring his best form to the match. Let's go, Alexander 🔥
