Sapporo was the first stop of my Japan 2023 winter trip. The journey from Singapore to Sapporo took around 12 hours, which included an overnight flight into Tokyo, where we transferred to a domestic flight on ANA. With such a long journey, we wanted to stick with something familiar to recharge. Hence the choice to book a room at ANA Holiday Inn Sapporo Susukino. Overview Room Number: 819Booking…

My Hokkaido
Book review:
Tumblr media
Likened to a volcanic exclamation mark on the Japanese archipelago, Hokkaido is filled with wonderous sights and experiences found nowhere else but still unmistakably Japanese. This is a travel guide to the most different of Japan's four main islands. It's the product of an adoring writer photographer who is still thoroughly enchanted with the land that he has already spent 10 years exploring.
Be mesmerised by sights so beautiful they look pulled from a fantasy game at maximum effects. Striated fields of flowers like a rainbow carpeting the ground or frozen lakes that glow a mystical blue are just some scenes that could be mistaken for idealised paintings or imaginary posters.
Manmade wonders include Tadao Ando's Hill of the Buddha where once was a solitary giant statue, there now is a serene halo-like, open dome, planted with concentric rings of lavender bushes. Seasonally attuned events and cultural celebrations abound such as the hell festival or the fire festival in summer and illuminated ice sculptures or snow light candles in winter. Famous food specialities are highlighted, locally produced delicacies, snow sports, farming, breathtaking terrain, this guide covers all interests. Notable too is that Sapporo Classic, the favourite brew of the island, is exclusively non-exported.
The editing and structure are refreshing. It's a travel guide but doesn't slavishly follow a template. Each section will have a mini map but beyond that, the information is freewheeling. There are some recuring elements like call out panels to focus on some special cuisine or wildlife or festivals or sporting activity. Enough for consistency and structure but varied enough to feel like it is not forcing itself to highlight a checklist at every stop. Likewise, just because one locality is famous for a type of seafood or cuisine, this will not stop the same seafood or cuisine being mentioned again if another town also happens to be famous for it.
The writing style of the author is somewhat entertaining and inimical in itself. He tends to wax superlative into absolutes. No wishy washy qualification, he confidently proclaims something is "the best" or "perfect" instead of equivocating. There are amusing oxym descriptions of alpine flowers at sea level and manmade natural wonders. These idiosyncrasies make the account more personal and authentic and help distinguish it from the travel guide spam.

Tumblr media
in which, nanami kento finally goes on a long overdue vacation
contents. nanami kento x gn!reader, 2.965k words, fluff but then heavy angst (mcd and hurt no comfort), mentions of murder (true crime stuff) but no detail of it, reader is a coward and really can't handle horror (sorry that's just me projecting)
Tumblr media
"What did you do?"
Guilt makes your lips purse, tongue swiping over them out of habit. You didn't want to call him, to interrupt him during the night shift he ever so loathes, contributing to the things he has to do.
But with demons lurking in the dark and the sense of impending doom beginning to latch onto you, it felt necessary, especially when fear decided to be quite clingy.
"I got scared."
A tired sigh comes from the phone. "How many times do I have to tell you not to watch anything disturbing at night?"
"This documentary got really interesting. I wanted to know what happened next..." Explicit content was fine, with Kento there to cling onto and his never-ending reassurance. Your husband watched these intense shows and documentaries without so much of a flinch, unfazed by quite literally everything displayed on the screen.
You, on the other hand, was a completely different case.
The slightest raise in volume managed to steal a scream from you, and jump scares had you flinching just a bit too hard. The mere build up and suspense of the music had your heart racing, even if nothing happened and it served as a little trick.
"I'm so sorry Ken, I'll hang up so you can focus on work." You're an adult, you shouldn't be so cowardly towards a mere genre of entertainment, and you should know better not to consume it.
Your thumb reaches for the red button, and your emotions hold you back, while rationality argues not to.
"No. Neither of us are going to be hanging up."
One part of you celebrates quietly, while another insists. "But you're working. Overtime nonetheless, and I know you hate those shifts. It's best to get everything done as soon as possible and get out of there."
His voice is raspy, garnished by a sultry tone. "Love, I belong to you, not my job. I do appreciate your thoughts, but you're more important than a mere paycheck."
Fuck. There it is, his eloquent, smooth way with words.
"Still. I can wait." That was a lie, though one you were willing to utter if it meant he'd prioritise his job. "Besides, what about that higher up you mentioned? The irritating one that's childish and overtalkative?"
Kento chuckles. "He's here, but he takes his job seriously and is highly capable. I'm on break anyways. Talk to me. If you can."
"I read about the Sapporo murder case. I still feel like the culprits from the case is going to sneak up on me. Or one of the zombies from Happiness." You adored the show and its cast, but god forbid you sit through another one of its jump scares.
"That's fine, it's normal. The point of this type of media is so scare. A lot of effort is put into making sure they elicit emotion." You cling onto every word he speaks, the world around you still there, only a bit blurry now. "Breathe in through your nose for four second, pause for two. Then breathe out through your mout for another eight."
Have you brushed your teeth?"
Kento hums as a response when you answer yes.
"Where are you right now?"
"In bed, but I need to clean up and turn off some lights before I sleep."
"Ignore it. I'll do it when I'm home."
"Are you sure?" There was no point in asking that, not when you'd rather not move away from the security of the doona. "You're going to be exhausted by the time you're home."
"Doesn't matter to me." Genuine indifference to the matter displays itself in Kento's tone. "I took a nap earlier, had a coffee or two as well. I'm going to be alright—" Something in the background echoes, though you could barely decipher what you were hearing, the furious tone of the voice concerned you.
"Who was that...? Is your boss mad at you? Wait but it doesn't make sense for a boss to give you a nickname—"
For a moment or two, Kento remained silent. "No, just an enthusiastic intern. He's talkative and sometimes loud but he's a good kid."
Your former worry dissipates, so quick that it almost seemed like it was never there in the first place. "Nanamin, was it?"
He sighs, the two of you know damn well that you'll refuse to forget that one.
"It's cute! Nanamin. I like how it sounds."
Voice softening, he replies with a chuckle. "I feel like you'd get along well."
"You should invite him over then. He must adore you if he's calling out to you that much."
"If that's true then I'd say the feeling is quite mutual." All you have is his voice, yet you can say without a doubt that he's beaming, a subtlety only you'll ever know— one of the many which compose the love between the two of you.
"Keep working." You whisper as a yawn claws out of your throat.
"Are you sure? Are you okay now?"
You nod, though he can't see it. "I am. Just listening to you helps a lot."
"I'm glad."
"Do your best at work, okay? And make sure you stay safe on the way home?" You hold back a grin, even though you're alone in your shared bedroom. "I have a surprise for you when you get home."
Kento piques with curiosity. "Really?"
"Yup, I think you'll love it." You stare at your bedside table, where tickets to Malaysia were stored. "I hope you do, at least."
"If it's coming from you of course I'll love it sweetheart." It's miraculous really, how you've been together for so long yet you have to suppress the urge to squeal over his sweet words. "My boss is going to start making me work again, good night darling. Sweet dreams, love."
You fall asleep with ease that night, this time with welcomed thoughts of spending time with Kento on the shore of Kuantan, running around whilst cherishing the cold, salty water licking at your ankles; rather than the intrusive thoughts from earlier.
Tumblr media
"You could've kept talking to them. I wouldn't've told anyone even if it took a lot of time."
Fushiguro Megumi is examining the sharpness of his blade when he reassures his teacher Nanami Kento, not looking up from his weapon, seated by the railing of the bridge.
"I appreciate that, but it'd be wrong of you." He moves his shoulders in circles, loosening his tie to wrap it around his knuckles. "I can teach you other methods."
"Pardon?"
Nanami crouches in front of Megumi. "Your breathing changed when I told them how to." The student doesn't respond. "It varies from person to person, I've tested out a lot."
Megumi still doesn't answer, averting his gaze towards the weapon that he held down.
"Fushiguro - kun. Are you scared?"
The younger finally speaks once more. "... I guess." Hesitation presents itself in his words, barely stable and his reluctance to maintain eye contact. "I won't let that stop me from completing my tasks—"
"It's okay. You're merely sixteen, you're not even old enough to drink, nor get your driver's licence."
Megumi returns to silence.
"Look at me." And so Megumi does. "To be a child is not a sin. I'm perfectly fine with withdrawing you from this operation if it's too much."
"Wouldn't that get you in trouble?"
Indeed he would. He'd tolerate plenty of discipline and anger from the higher ups. But Nanami Kento knows too well what it's like to risk you and your peers for a 'greater good', at nonetheless a ridiculously young age too—an age where you're supposed to go to regular school and be regular, stupid kids figuring themselves out; not witnessing the death of the ones dear to your heart with the sight of their corpses forever imprinted into your mind, nor have the stench of blood memorised meticulously instead of historical dates or mathematical formulas.
If it were up to him, he'd prohibit such exploitation of children. None should be performing such tasks, even if born with an advantageous cursed technique.
If the higher ups adopted the same philosophy as him, Haibara would be alive and well, and Nanami wouldn't feel his stomach lurch whenever he sees a bowl of rice, nor flinch whenever he hears the mention of Geto Suguru.
'I don't mind if it means you'll be at ease. Gojo can protect me, and if I'm unable to extract you from this operation then I'll handle everything."
Megumi takes a deep breath. "I shouldn't run away. I'll do my best. I have Tsumiki I need to return to. We should go find Itadori now."
“If you say so then, but it’s still my duty to protect you.” With a final, strong tug he tightens his tie around his knuckles. “I can't guarantee any results, not in this instable world and career. What I can promise, is that I will protect you with my life."
A determined nod from Megumi is all he needs.
Quick and efficient; that's the plan. Shibuya was already a mess, and all he wanted was the security of your arms within the four walls he calls 'home'.
Tumblr media
"Thank you for having us."
Megumi, the one with the messy, black hair speaks coldly, though very politely, his manners were courteous and so was Yuuji. They'd come to your door and introduced themselves as interns at Kento's company. Now, they were seated in your living room, on your couch.
"Don't mention it, Ken's always been fond of the interns." You already miss him, he must've stayed overnight at the company again. "Are you okay with first names?"
Both nod.
You smile. "So, Yuuji, Megumi, what have you come here for?"
Yuuji speaks first. "It's about Nanamin, I mean Nanami—"
Without malicious attempt you cut him off. "Nanamin is fine, I overheard you calling him that last night. He was fond of it, it was quite cute after all." You chuckle to yourself at it.
The boy swallows, appearing apprehensive. He sounded so enthusiastic last night, perhaps he was the type who needed to warm up towards people first.
"Well, um."
You don't say anything, giving him time to respond comfortably.
"Nanami sensei passed away last night." Megumi finishes what Yuuji couldn't.
Your heart drops.
Temptation to make an accusation of a prank attempts to claw out of your throat, but with how their expressions scream nausea and discomfort, it'd be rude to do so.
That explained why he never kept his promise of finishing up on chores, knowing Kento he would’ve done everything to make sure he made it home to do as he said he would.
"What happened?" It doesn't feel right— and it isn't at all, but you have to figure out the truth, even if this all doesn't seem real.
"There was a fire." Yuuji whispers, barely loud enough and coherent with the tremble of his voice. "And he didn't make it out in time."
You remain silent, so does Megumi. Yuuji bites his lip, suppressing what seemed to be a sob.
"I see."
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. If only—" It drowns out in his bawling. "It was my fault. He—"
He completely lacked incoherency now, hiccuping as tears rolled down his cheeks.
"He helped us first." Megumi once again continues Yuuji's words. "But they recovered his body, we brought you his ashes."
He pulls out a package from his shoulder bag, wrapping it to reveal a pale blue funerary urn. Megumi places it onto the table.
"I'm sorry. If I had been capable of protecting myself he wouldn't've died saving me."
Your gaze meets Megumi’s, you're too afraid to properly acknowledge the urn, where your boyfriend was supposedly resting.
Silence permeates the air, Yuuji bites his sleeve to suppress his crying and Megumi breathes shakily.
"Don't apologise. You have no reason to. Neither of you." You've barely known the two, but the way Yuuji was sobbing broke your heart, and how both seemed to genuinely believe they caused Kento's passing. "It's not your fault. I don't think it is, and he would agree with him. He made the choice to help you, because he cared deeply for both of you. You can cry freely, I won't stop you." You muster a smile, hoping it'll be comforting in some sort of way. They're only kids, they can't be blaming themselves for the death of another they didn't cause.
Yuuji's teeth release the sleeve of his hoodie, hiccuping out what sounded like a thank you. You push a tissue box towards him, to which he accepts the offer.
"You idiot…” Megumi sniffles a bit.
“It’s okay, you’re going to be fine.” You pat him on the back, rubbing it too. You give him your phone, opening a new contact. “I’d like to invite you two to the funeral, can I have your contact details? In the meantime I’ll make some tea.”
You earn a nod, and are quick to retreat into the kitchen, hand holding your mouth shut as you slowly cry, pleading for Yuuji and Megumi to be unable to hear.
Tumblr media
"Kento! We're here, at Kuantan!"
After a long flight and travel, you finally arrived at your destination, you had dropped your luggage off at the accommodation, the urn Megumi had given you was held up against your chest.
I've always wanted to go to Kuantan, in Malaysia. One day I'd like to build a house on a secluded beach and live there. Of course with you, if you were okay with it.
You take off your sandals, tossing them away as you approach the shoreline, the coolness of the water catching you off guard. You continue walking, until it reaches halfway up your calves.
Off goes the lid of the urn, and you toss the ashes into the beach, watching the waves swallow Kento whole. It's not long before the urn is empty, you've never had to scatter someone's ashes, yet it felt like something was missing.
In all honesty, you have no idea if Kento wanted to be cremated, you've never touched on the subject of death, probably because the two of you were so young.
But something tells you this is the right decision. Kuantan's beautiful, and he wanted to go when work and money permitted him to do so. He'd loved to read a book under the shade of that large tree over there, and would've wanted to try fishing at the rock ledge nearby. It was just the two of you here, even better.
Fuck.
As you watch him swim into the ocean, you notice the tears threatening to spill. You don't bother trying to avoid it, not that you would've been able to.
"It's not fair!" You yell, out into the ocean. You don't blame Yuuji, or Megumi, or anyone, but you're still livid. "I miss you, I miss you so much that it gets hard to breathe."
The ring box feels heavy in your pocket.
"If you had to leave this world early you could've done it later." Your cry becomes a sob. "Just one month, then I could've fucking proposed. I don't need a honeymoon or marriage, I just want your fucking answer."
In an ideal world, you'd like to think that he would've accepted without hesitation, but that fantasy doesn't compare to the pain of remaining oblivious to his answer forever.
"Who's going to comfort me now? Who am I going to spend the rest of my life with? Who am I going to cook dinner with? What about Yuuji and Megumi? They had to finish their internships without you. Do you know how hard Yuuji cried when he came to tell me you passed away?"
By no means are you mad at Kento, you could never. But anger that slowly accumulated in your heart for the past few months, and had erupted. The empty coldness of your bed stings, and the amount of cutlery required being halved overwhelms you with misery. You can’t even laugh at his high school photos anymore, the amusement from his ridiculous haircut can’t triumph over the fact that he had passed away a mere ten years later.
You’d much rather store it all away, each and every possession and photo of the man. The sight of his favourite mug serves as a harsh reminder that morning coffee with him will never happen. Listening to old voice mails seemed reassuring and almost lulled you to sleep, until you had to come to terms that he was truly gone once more.
But at least sound can be captured.
What about his scent? Eventually his clothes would lose their scent, they probably were already on that course, even with your refusal to wash them. Touch can’t be preserved, you can cling onto the memory of your skin against his for as long as you want, but you’ll never truly experience it again.
“Goodbye Kento!” Despite your miserable state you pull yourself together just enough so you can see him off with a smile. “I love you, so so much. More than anything in the world, I always will! Thank you, for being there. Th-thank you for loving me.”
You've lost the energy to yell, throat now hoarse. You venture deeper into the shore, not caring about your clothes getting wet, as your face gets soaked with your own tears.
Who's fault is it? Was it the culprit of the fire (if there was one)? Or perhaps yours, for not proposing earlier. Maybe then he would've been safe and sound in Kuantan, after taking leave. Perchance it was the heavens deciding they’d rather just not authorise him to spend the rest of his name.
Whoever it was, it doesn't matter. Nothing could bring back the warmth of Nanami Kento.

Sooo i just had a thought. Gojo and reader have to work, maybe for like a few days, and Auntie koko and nanami are unavailable too. And Akio is left in Megumi's and the other 1st and 2nd yr students care (aka, megumi being a big bro). Big bro megumi makes my heart swell, and your writing is godly.

So Akio is a year old, toddling away on unsteady feet and babbling the few words he knows with such confidence you’d think he was a trained speechwriter.
He’s a good baby, he started sleeping through the night at 5 months old and wakes up with his Papa in the morning for some cuddles and breakfast while Mama gets a little more sleep.
You were mainly pumping for him now, since his little teeth came in he’d become a bit of a biter. He had his parent’s sweet tooth too. His current favourite is Dorayaki.
With you back on call as a sorcerer and back to work teaching when he was 9 months old, your mom looked after him 3 days and he went to daycare the other two for some socialising.
It was an easy Tuesday night, your mom was away on vacation, Yaga and Shoko were in Kyoto for a few days and Nanami was away on a mission for a week at the least. However, daycare was also closed that week as Miss Hinata had come down with a cold. You had taken a few days off teaching, Satoru too.
Neither of you expected the phone to ring on a Tuesday night with Yaga on the other end urgency evident in his voice saying you both were needed in Sapporo, that on opposite ends of the city there were 3 special grade curses wrecking havoc and a curse user was suspected to be pulling the strings behind the scenes and needed to be found and dealt with. Neither of you could go alone, because the curses needed to be dealt with simultaneously to avoid further destruction - but, you had a baby babbling between you playing with his blocks.
But you had to go.
So - that left one person.
Without warning, you and Satoru packed a bag each and a bag for the baby, diapers, wipes, clean clothes, pjs, toys, travel cot and blanket and extra frozen breast milk and bottles and jars of baby food were stuffed into bags and loaded into the car. You’d decided you would drive to drop of Akio and Satoru would warp you both the rest of the way.
As you got in the car, you wrote all baby care instructions you could think of and more that were absolutely not necessary on some pink paper and folded it into the bag and added in ¥60,000 as an apology.
You both unload the car, you taking Akio on your hip who was very excited at this late excursion and recognised where you were and Satoru with all the baby equipment one could possibly need.
You tell Akio to knock on the door and his chubby fist bangs as much as he can and giggles.
“Mom? Dad? Akio?”
“Hi ‘Gumi.”
Standing in the open doorway to his dorm is Megumi, grey sweats and black sweatshirt with slightly damp post shower hair looking completely bewildered at the two of you being here with his little brother at 7pm.
“So! Oh - hey Yuuji! Whatcha watching? Oh! Attack on Titan! Awesome, I love that bit wh-” Satoru begins as he strolls into the room like he owns it and sees your son’s boyfriend’s laying out on his bed, show paused on the laptop.
“Dad.” Megumi rolls his eyes.
Satoru begins to plop the bags down and the crib case beside it and then walks back to you, lifting the baby from your arms.
“Sweetie, I’m so sorry but we have to go to Sapporo ASAP, nobody is around to take care of Akio so could you please watch him? Daycare is shut too and Aunty Koko is at the conference with Principal Yaga.” You plead, diving in headfirst to cuddle your eldest, face smushed into his chest now with how tall he’s gotten.
“Oh my god! Really?! We get to mind Akio?! Sure! Akio come see Yuuji-kun!” Yuuji says bolting from the bed and bouncing on his toes.
“Jesus, Yu, chill out. Yeah, mom, that’s okay. I - we can figure it out. Has he got everything? How long will you guys be gone?” Megumi shrugs.
“Dunno, kid. 2 days, probably. We’ve put all his stuff behind you, you guys are gonna have a blast! Bro time! Ugh, it’s so cute I’m gonna melt, isn’t it Princess?” Satoru whines.
You giggle as you press kisses to the babies head and Satoru follows suit, whispering goodbyes and then handing the little white haired boy to his older brother.
“C’mere, lemme give you a kiss too - ‘Gumi.” Satoru leans in and gets swatted away and you resort to blowing a kiss at each of the boys.
As you say your farewell to the boys, Yuuji shrieks your name.
“Wait! Aren’t you breastfeeding him?! We’re both boys, we don’t have tiddies, we can’t breastfeed him! Nobara is a girl but I don’t think she’s going to want to -” He frantically worries, before Megumi smacks him behind the head with an incredulous look using the hand not holding his brother. Satoru bursts out cackling laughing and you just purse your lips as to not lose it yourself.
“I’m leaving that explanation up to you, ‘Gumi. You’re the one dating him. Frozen milk is in there in the icebox - keep it in the freezer. Call if you need us! Love you boys!”
and with that, the parents are off - warped to a battle and an impromptu 2 nights at a hotel while the search for the Sapporo curse user is conducted.
Megumi wasn’t overly worried. He was a perceptive person, he saw how you and Satoru cared for the baby when he was home, helped you guys out with feeding and diapers - plus, Yuuji loved kids, and he was great with them. The second years might have to be roped in too to help, given that he was only 16.
Akio was now sitting on the bed playing with some toys while the boys both tried to figure out how to assemble the pop up travel crib. After about a half an hour, they gave up. At this point, Inumaki down the hall had heard the commotion and came to see what the deal was, smiling when he saw the baby and then laughing himself silly at the state of the first years.
He rolls his eyes, saying ‘Okaka’ and whips out his phone, snapping a picture of the scene and retreating with a pat on the head for Akio who babbled away at him.
A second later the door was flung open by a smirking Maki and Nobara beside her.
“Fuck me - you two are useless. C’mere, I’ll do it.” She rolls her eyes and begins to put the crib together as if it was second nature. Megumi quickly explains the presence of the baby and Nobara is quick to run and grab the baby for a cuddle.
“Bara!” Akio squeals with his broken vocabulary as she spins him around and begins to sort through his packed clothes to find him the cutest pyjamas.
One the crib is up (it took Maki literally 90 seconds) the girls leave the room with a kiss on the head each for the blue eyed baby.
As Yuuji goes to heat up a bottle, after an explanation of female anatomy, Megumi changes his brother into his pyjamas covered in small hedgehogs (his mom definitely bought these). When he’s cosy, he sets up the crib with the babies bedding and then sits him on his lap as he feeds him the bottle in his arms.
Akio’s eyes start to droop and Yuuji can’t stop cooing over the adorable sight of the baby in his boyfriends arms.
One the bottle is finished and the dreams have started, Megumi places him oh-so-gently into his temporary bed and climbs back into the bed with Yuuji.
“This can be like, practise! For when we have our own kids!” Yuuji says, beaming.
Megumi never thought Yuuji had considered that far ahead, given - well… everything. But it made sense, you and Satoru had promised that Yuuji wouldn’t die, and his parents never broke a promise.
“Oh yeah? You want kids?” He smirks.
“Eh, duh! We’re gonna be DILFs, Fushiguro! Two boys maybe, or a boy and a girl. We’ll call them… Eren and Mikasa!” Yuuji says, thinking face on.
“Is that because we’re in the middle of Attack on Titan?”
There was no disturbance that night, Akio passed out and the older boys in bed, Yuuji acting as big spoon.
They wake up to giggling, and babbling away as they spot Akio chatting to himself animatedly in his crib.
“Eh, Satoru usually gets up and cuddles with him in the morning so - I guess that’s what I should do too.” Megumi says, stretching as he rises from the bed.
So he does, he takes his brother in his arms who is poking at his cheeks with a cheery smile and strolls into the kitchen - everyone is still in bed so he makes a coffee and sets Akio down on the common room floor to play. Once his coffee is brewed, he sits the baby on his lap and feeds him some of the fruit his mom had packed along with some cereal puffs just as Satoru had written in the note.
He likes this. He doesn’t get up this early at the weekend when he’s home so he doesn’t get early morning baby snuggles. No matter how tsundere he acts, his heart goes soft for his baby brother - even if it really is just his dad copy and pasted.
He puts on cocomelon on the TV, he knows that’s his brother’s favourite and sits on the sofa with the baby cuddled into him. They’re alone, so Megumi places a soft kiss to his white locks and sniffs the baby smell he secretly loves.
“AKIO!” A booming voices breaks the reverie as a huge pile of fluff dives onto the sofa beside him and the baby squeals in sheer delight as what Akio views as a giant plushy is patting his head. Panda nuzzles the baby hello and Megumi just rolls his eyes. Panda takes Akio so Megumi can get dressed as Nobara and Maki enter the room, Yuuji following soon after.
With all their teachers away, they’ve no classes today. Yuuji and Maki go to train on the field, Nobara joining and Panda apparently soon after. Megumi straps the baby into his stroller and follows them down - he’s not missing training. They agree to take turns watching the little one during training, so once Akio is dressed Megumi pops on his sun hat and pulls the visor up to shield the baby.
Maki brings the baby on a walk in the stroller and uses it as cardio, Nobara is the one who gets him dressed when it’s her turn and she has him in little green overalls and a white T-shirt - and she can’t stop gushing over him, saying even though he looks exactly like Gojo-Sensei his definitely gets his adorable looks from his mom. Inumaki wanders out still half asleep around 11am and takes the baby out of the stroller and brings him inside for a snack and to play with some sensory toys in his bag. Every 2 hours, Megumi would go to change the babies diaper and around 1pm - got screamed at by a very, very, angry baby. He checked the notes you’d left him.
1pm - turns into the devil incarnate, needs his nap for about 1.5hours. Will scream at you, will cry, will throw a tantrum until he’s laying down and will then be an angel when he wakes up. Beware 1pm Akio - he’s special grade at that time. Is written in your neat cursive.
Well, that explains things. He whips the baby up, and carries him to his room and laying him into his crib and he’s never seen a personality change so drastically since Yuuji and Sukuna. The baby smiles a wide smile at his brother and then promptly, as if by magic, falls asleep.
He stays and reads as the baby sleeps, wondering what to do with the rest of the day. He texts you quickly, replying to your check ins and assuring you they’re all good. Satoru texts him that they’ll be home tomorrow in the late morning, with a selfie he took as he demolished a cursed spirit.
Yuuji texts him then, saying that since they all have the day off they should bring Akio into the city. He quickly agrees, he doesn’t quite know how to occupy a baby - and this seems like a good idea. He remembers the splash pad that you two used to bring him and Tsumiki to and decides to go there.
He packs up some snacks and then Akio wakes up all bright and bubbly again and is packed into his stroller. The first and second years make their way into the city and Nobara drags Maki to shop with her, much to Maki’s dismay. Inumaki goes to get some boba, Panda stayed back at the school - it was his nap time too apparently.
So that left Megumi and Yuuji. They strolled to the splash pad, and Yuuji seemed equally as excited as the baby. Megumi didn’t blame him, it was hot as hell today.
Yuuji whips the baby from his seat and takes off his little socks and shoes and holds his two hands and guides him to the splash pads where the other kids are playing. There’s tiny fountains shooting out water and logs you can tip over with enough water to fill it. The area for kids over 5 is nearby, but this baby area is perfect for the one year old. Akio splashes his little feet and laughs in delight as Yuuji shows him around and splashes his feet in return. The two seem to be having a whole conversation with each other, Megumi doesn’t think either of them understand much of what the other says.
He hears Akio saying ‘Gumi!’ and a pink head and a white head turn in his direction and wave at the boy in the shade, he waves back. How can he not? His heart feels so full at the sight in front of him. He snaps a photo, and sends it to his parents.
The baby then toddles over to him and grasps his hand.
“Gumi! Wada! Pease pay wada.” Megumi is surprised at how good the babies words are getting, he understood (with difficulty) that he wanted him to play in the water too. So he takes off his vans and joins them quietly, swirling the water to show the child who smiles up at him and Yuuji takes this opportunity to send a photo of this pure brotherly love to you. You both cry when you open it.
After an hour, they head to get ice cream and some lunch. They meet up with the others and grab food at a ramen place, as Inumaki delightedly feeds Akio his jar of baby food and a small bottle by Yuuji.
They then look up one final activity and decide on the Mori Building Digital Art Museum. When they enter, Akio’s eyes light up (literally) at all the sights and lights around him. He tries to catch the floating lamps as all the teenagers giggle at the babies awe and confusion. You brought him here one day when he was younger and Satoru was on a mission and Tsumiki was at a birthday sleepover. Inumaki was running wild taking photos, saying he wants to send some to Yuuta so he’ll come back quicker. Maki is acting photographer for Nobara who’s trying to get the best instagram shots she can. Yuuji is as astounded as the baby by all the pretty lights.
As Megumi lifted the baby up to touch some of the lights, pointing up at them - Yuuji got another photo.
Yuuji felt really in love at that moment. Megumi looked so pretty, dark hair reflecting the lights and small smile as he looked at his baby brother.
Around 6pm, everyone was beat. Once they got back to the dorms, Megumi went to give the baby a bath while Yuuji made food. The second years went to their respective room, but the three first years went to the common room around 7.30pm, a warm bottle in Megumi’s hand as he feeds the baby while they all watch The Jungle Book together on the sofa. Once the films over, Akio is asleep on Megumi’s chest, Yuuji has his head on his shoulder and Nobara has her head in Yuuji’s lap. The end credits wake up the teens, who bid each other goodnight, and Yuuji and Megumi share a shy kiss goodnight after Nobara leaves, and Megumi takes Akio, as carefully as he can without waking him, into his room where he lays him in his crib. Akio won’t let go of his fingers, so he falls asleep with his arm hanging off his bed into the crib. If someone had been there that night, they’d have seen a soft smile on both of the Fushiguro-Gojo boy’s faces.
He’s disturbed from his slumber the next morning by soft whispers and sounds. He groggily opens his eyes and sees you and Gojo kneeling beside his bed and the crib, both planting kisses on the baby who is delighted to see his Mama and Papa. Satoru blows raspberries onto the babies belly who begins to writhe in laughter at his very silly daddy and grins even wider when his dad presents him with a Sakura mochi saying it’s breakfast.
You are nuzzling into your baby and husband, hand still clasped in Satoru’s bigger one.
Megumi smiles at the scene, he loves his family. Even if they drive him crazy.
‘Akio! Look, baby! Your big bro is awake! Will we go say hi?’ Satoru smiles, Megumi likes seeing his dad so soft and enamoured - even though he always is like that with you around. In the morning light, it’s even more clear that although he has your nose, Akio is all Satoru. Blindfold tucked away - their eyes match in the golden light.
The tall man and baby come walking over to the bed as you sit on the edge and stroke your eldest’s hair.
‘Thank you, ‘Gumi. You’re the best big brother in the world. We love you, sweetheart.” You say, pressing a kiss to his forehead like you did when he was tiny.
“We love you ‘this much’!” Satoru says, pulling the babies little chubby arms wide to make a big gap to demonstrate that they do really - love their ‘Gumi so much. All of them.

im sorry but saying ksoo never said Ji about his premature enlistment is the most ridiculous thing you've ever said. I mean that's something he didn't decide a week before his enlistment it might be imposible for Ji not knowing that. If that's true which I think it's not the case I directly broke up with him like that's not a decision you make alone if u are in a long term relationship
First of all guys whom are Non-Kaisooists, I saw Kadi kissing and going on Vacations in Spain, Hungary, Hawaii, L.A, Philippines and Jeju, and in Sapporo and Osaka, you will not affect me or change my mind with your asks. So spear yourself the effort and don't come here if our blog irritates you! What you believe keep it for yourself no need to come convince us what you believe. Do I make you this Angry that you had to come anonymously send such dumb questions?
So back to the main topic:
If you were a real EXOL you would know EXO said Ksoo came to them without any notice and said I'm going to be enlisted in 2 months and it was in April and they clearly said they were shocked all of them when he announced that he applied for the Military and signed all the paperwork and done some of the medical checkups.
And Honey, I didn't say it ! It's the People who know better than me and you said.
The members also said he told them nonchalantly as if it wasn't a big deal. He didn't even discuss it with the company to reschedule any future projects because simply he has had enough of SM and he sabotaged them his own way. And the members said they were all so supportive.
And Ji was there with them and after Ksoo's enlistment Ji went absent for two months straight no bubble messages no Instagram lives nothing he went disappearing. under the excuse that he forgot his password. After that he was so depressed and sad and shortly before SuperM's debut he came on RadioStar show and revealed he suffered from Depression the past few months which explains his absence , he also said he is seeking medical help with a therapist!
And I still remember the MC shamelessly and Rudely asked Suho if he knew about this and him and the members were all so taken aback and they showed sad expression and that Stupid MC again shamelessly told Suho : "Did you know about your member was mentally exhausted and depressed? You Should be more attentive to your members'mental health!!" and Suho was so embarrassed and hurt that he apologized to Jongin and told him " I'll pay more attention to you and the members from now on and always come to Hyung whenever you feel like you need to talk, don't hide it". Because Ji clearly said he didn't tell any member that he was in deep depression or that he was regularly seeing a Therapist.
And it was a very critical Kadi period that he went for hiatus for two months and even earlier that year in 2019 after jenkai, Ksoo fought with SM and was reported to have left the company remember March 13th 2019?? (if you were in this blog since 2019 they talked a lot about this and explained everything regarding how Jenkai is related to Ksoo's case with SM and how it affaceted Kadi and Ji). Ksoo went missing since Jenkai exactly since January 5th when he was seen in Blue dragon awards show or whatever I don't remember the name, until his enlistment day July 1st, he was ABSENT. AKsoo took a long vacation refusing to be on any Schedule and refused to film Underdogs2 and refused all Acting projects and even refused to be on any Exo schedule as he was in a major mental health crisis and he even filed a lawsuit saying he was being overworked for 7 years with 0 off days unlike the other members, it was his first vacation since he debuted and SM only gave him 7 days vacation in 7 years and he talked about it in The 100Days Husband Press Conference and Booklet ,it's one of the main reasons he wanted to leave which is why the rumor dropped in March 2019, it was reported that he wanted all the accumulated Vacations since 2012 SM wanted to rob from him! Which is why he went missing for 6 months and we saw him going to Japan 3 times with Chanyeol in February remember? Also Baekhyun said he met Ksoo accidentally in Japan and they had a meal together. At that time Ji went to Philippines with his friends. This time Kadi were on a break from each other. And Ji didn't speak to Ksoo and there were no sightings of the both of them together anywhere and Ksoo didn't stay with Ji at all and they weren't even on talking terms.
Every couple have downfalls like this it's normal. We all almost broke up or even broken up with our partners at one point of our lives. Especially if you're in over a decade relationship of almost 14 years.
Anyway the story is too long. I can explain it all if you DM me instead of Hiding like this.

Did they confirm they traveled to Japan for a vlog? Or is everyone just assuming?
I know JK said that about NY. But they didnt say anything about Japan also being for their travel vlog.
So I am confused why everyone is saying they are filming a vlog in Japan. Maybe they are, just that I don't think they said that themselves yet.
I think it was mostly an assumption that it was for their travel show. This was a work schedule and the press presented it as something that has to do with a documentary which I guess it meant the travel show. Either way, it involves filming. I think Jungkook also might have had a schedule for some Japanese show, 2 performances, but that can be shot in a few hours.
It all points to them adding more locations. Sapporo is also known for its beer and the location fits with the concept of the travel drinking show. It also wouldn't make sense in my opinion to only shoot in CT, especially only for 2 days. The footage would mostly amount to very little once edited. It needs to be diversified. At least that's how I would see it from a producer's perspective. So CT, Tokyo(?), but definitely Sapporo. And then we're left with other question marks regarding Jeju Island. Was it just a vacation destination or more? We'll see once a teaser is released, most likely next year.
There's plenty of shows in this format, focusing on a duo of men traveling and trying the local cuisine and/or the drinking culture of places around the globe or in really specific locations in the local scene. It would be interesting to compare when the time comes.
And a last thought, as much as I'd love to see JM and JK filming more stuff that involves strictly their participation, I doubt it will be more than the one travel show.

what on earth is your pfp
i cannot figure it out i am going mad
at first i thought dildos?? then some type of plant??
it does not seem to be either
please :sob:
Hahaha I forget about my pfp sometimes! But I do wonder what some people think of it. I think it looks like some kind of weird creature if you don't know what it is XD
My pfp is a picture I took while in Japan in my last year of high school! I did a three month exchange in Sapporo where I attended classes at the high school of my host family. The school put me in several different options like art, music and photography so I could have fun while my host class was doing classes like Ancient Japanese and stuff like that.
So this was a picture I took of some playground equipment on an outing my photography class took! I joined in several times when we would take walks to go take pictures and I thought this equipment looked so weird and funny that I had to take a picture of it!
This is just typical of the kinds of pictures I take on vacations and I thought it worked well as a quirky profile pic!
Thanks for asking, I hope I soothed your burning questions 😊

Where do you want to travel/vacation to next (and why is it Japan you big ol weeb)?
Ey fuck you (you are right)
I don't really have anywhere I want to go to super badly at the moment. I blew over half of my savings this summer for the down payment on my house, so I don't feel as free to go and do as I please unlike a year ago.
That said... I would love to go to see the snow festival in Sapporo sometime.

7. The two of you are at a zoo or an aquarium (you decide). Which section of the place are you two heading toward first? Or do you have different things in mind you wanna see from each other?
-AAAUUUUOOO aquarium dates are some of our favorites //w// obviously we both wanna see the SHARKS!!!! we spend a lot of time debating about which one is The Coolest (for Soul, great white, hands down - epitome of cool, duh. and that's a good choice! but I also like thresher sharks cause their tails remind me of him...they look lil like scythes...) and it's great fun. I also enjoy jellyfish exhibits, especially ones where the jellies are in cylindrical tanks and the room is dark n lit with different colors... He likes tank tunnels (like, a tunnel you can walk under and see the fish swimming all around you) and appreciating funky aquarium layouts. We also mutually always try and find The Weirdest thing at any given aquarium and turn it into a game as to who can find it first (and then maybe good-natured arguing about "that's not THAT weird you can't say you've won yet" "it's literally an 8 foot crab how much weirder is it going to get" "we've only seen half the exhibits I reserve the right to find something Weirder") ANYWAY YEAH aquarium dates are gr8 fun I wanna go on one with him again soon TAT
16. You and your f/o have a week to go on vacation anywhere you would want without having to worry about a budget. What places would you each come up to go to?
-oh man, the dream... For my part, we're definitely going back to Japan for part of it. It's really tempting to hit up all our old haunts from when we lived there but I think I'd try to pick places we haven't been but want to go, like Sapporo or Shirakawa. He'd like to do a food tour of Europe and also probably hit New Orleans for jazz stuff (and more food haha). We'd stay at hotels with nice big beds (he loves me and is supportive of my plushie habit but every so often he wants a Little more room SDFJKDLHF sorry babe ilu) and we'd end each day cuddled up together watchin' movies and eatin' snacks to recharge before the next day's adventures =w= waaahhh...I want it so bad////

Paging the Doctor. Michiru has to obviously been to London on several occasions. What is Haruka’s reaction when Michiru convinces her to do an international vacation to London for the first time?
Haruka WANTS to be the sort of person who loves international travel. She wants to be cool and sexy and instagram #butchlife #butchwomen but like, at the end of the day she loves to dress in her cool sexy outfits and then go order a bowl of ramen and a draft sapporo without having to think about it too much.
So, is London a cool looking place? Sure! Is it neat to go have tea and pose next to a phone booth? Of course! Is she immediately then googling "Japantown London ???" and trying to find a bar where she can talk to the waitress? Absolutely.
