a/n: enjoy ;) summary: sam, colby, corey and jake plan to go to the witches forest, little do they know, they’ll meet a friend of jennifers. he’s a lonely medium studying witchcraft, what happens when colby starts to feel a pull towards him? his feelings confuse him, and make him question himself.
words: 8.8k (TOO FUCKING MANY, i got lost in the sauce🫠)
sam sat on his couch, dialing the number of the woman him and colby met at the stanley hotel. the latter began to film as she picked up.
“hello?”
“hi is this jennifer?” they shared a look towards eachother, acknowledging the awkwardness.
“yes, this is she.”
“sweet uh.. about that forest, was that a legit offer? colby and i have been talking over the past few weeks and maybe.. are you in la now?” he asked, curiously.
“yeah i am”
“cool so maybe tomorrow or later this week we could meet up, and we’d probably be filming it so if that’s cool with you, you could tell us more like about what the forest is and then maybe like find time to schedule to go out there or something?”
“yeah we can meet up.” jennifer said ominously.
“okay cool, maybe tomorrow we’ll schedule a time then.” sam started to laugh from the awkwardness, and immediately after the phone call was over he threw the phone onto the table and freaked out. “why is it so awkward?” he cringed.
“everytime we talk to her.” colby chuckles.
they both start talking to the camera about their plans with the witches forest, and planning a whereabouts for the meetup.
a day had past, and sam, colby and jake were in the car, driving to the area where they were supposed to meet up with jennifer. colby had parked very close to another car in attempts to not be in the way of someones driveway. “can’t park in this driveway brother, gonna get a ticket.”
“can’t go to jail again.” sam laughs.
“we’re in a neighborhood, it’s not that sketchy.” sam commented, as they all start talking about how creepy this whole situation was, joking about getting murdered.
they walk into the park, and they look around until they see two people sitting at a park bench. “hey!” sam calls out, as he sees them. “nice to see you again!” he goes in for a hug with jennifer.
“how was the shoot and everything?” he asked.
“it was good.” she responded, nodding her head, before looking over to her friend, the guy next to her. jennifer didn’t really care about meeting up with strangers but elias, found it sketchy, so he decided to come along as some sort of backup.
“hey, i’m elias, good to meet you.” he shook hands with the person closest to him, colby.
“nice to meet you too.” colby smiled, curious about the guy infront of him. he looked pretty cool, his sense in fashion was definitely something out of a vintage movie. his hair was dark brown, about medium length. he had brown circle glasses pushed towards his nose, contrasting his freckled face.
from what he was wearing, you could see a few tattoos under his sleeves, along with a few different ear piercings. ‘damn this guy is cool’ he felt like some kind of fangirl.
as sam talked to jennifer, colby starting asking questions to the other. “are you also into the paranormal?”
“yeah. i grew up around it my entire life, and now it just seeks me out i guess.” he chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. “how’d you get into it?”
“that’s the same as one of my friends, corey.” he acknowledges. “honestly it’s not that exciting, me and my buddy sam would explore like abandoned places and stuff then it became haunted areas and now we think we’re haunted.”
“that’s cool.” suddenly jake climbs onto the picnic table, creating a thud sound. “jesus jake.” colby laughed.
“so do you guys chill at the park often?” jake tries to make conversation with the two.
“yeah.” they answer at the same time. the camera is held facing jennifer as she begins to explain why the cabin is haunted, and why it’s called the witches forest.
“you really have to figure it out yourself.” elias commented, chuckling.
“so you’ve been there too?” sam interrogates him.
“you could say that, i also own a cabin about a mile out.”
“would you say it’s haunted?”
“oh definitely, in 1946 a couple moved into the cabin and after a few years they started like experiencing financial issues, and it caused a lot of stress between them and eventually the husband started drinking, and one night he killed his pregnant wife before shooting himself in the head.” elias smirked, watching their jaws drop. “let’s just say i’m not legally able to rent it out anymore because of what happened to the last guests we had.”
“holy shit.” sam looked to the guys, with wide eyes.
“that’s actually insane.” colby said, rubbing his eye. “so do you live there or just use it as a vacation spot?”
“bit of both honestly, the spirits don’t bother me much. i was just there a few days ago and i stayed about three months, left with tons of scratches and stuff.” elias explained.
“do you still have visible marks?”
“yeah, the longest one is on my leg, i can show you if you like.” the guys nodded, so he stands up and props his leg on the park bench, before rolling up his black pants. quickly a red shiny scratch is visible. it starts at his ankle and goes underneath his thigh. “it’s one of the weirder marks i’ve gotten. it’s shiny and feels almost like a burn, like blistered over and stuff.”
“holy shit, that’s crazy.” jake muttered.
“i don’t know if we should do this anymore.” colby laughs, jokingly crying.
“so on a scale of one to ten, how is this a good idea or are we going to die.” sam wondered.
“let’s just say it’s scarier then the stanley hotel.” jennifer answered.
“is that the key?” jake zooms into colby holding the key to the cabin. colby pauses for a second, having an idea. “would you let us see your cabin?” he asks to elias.
“uhh, i don’t know, i would have to be there to supervise.” “not just because i don’t know you, but also for you’re protection. the spirits know me well, even the negative ones, they don’t like other people.”
“jesus.” colby mumbles. “is that why you can’t rent it out anymore.” he nods slowly.
“we have a friend out there that we met from the summer camp thing. a few of them are still there. elias can probably get in contact with one of them to help you out. since they’re both wiccans.”
“so you’re friend is a... wait you’re a wiccan?” sam asks towards elias, pointing the camera in his direction, receiving a half nod.
“after i became a medium it slowly transitioned into exploring witchcraft, i wouldn’t like 100% consider myself a wiccan but i do partake in that stuff.” he holds up his pagan necklace.
“wow, so does your friend live around the cabin?”
“yeah.”
“now i see why it’s called witches forest.” sam laughed hesitantly.
“so a lot of people there are wiccans i’m assuming?” colby asks, before receiving a nod. “witches forest, wiccans.” he does a weird voice to express how crazy this situation is.
“this is awesome, thank you so much for this, we would probably just of done another hotel video.” sam thanked her. “should we call corey?” he asks to the guys.
everyone begins to say goodbye, colby hugging jennifer and elias. “we’ll let you know how it goes.”
“but uh, i just wanted to say, i haven’t been there in awhile so be careful.” jennifer calls out to them.
jennifer and elias start walking back to their apartment. he glances towards the group they had just encountered. “they seem cool, colby’s pretty nice.”
“yeah i guess. i’m surprised you didn’t give them the key.”
“first, they’re strangers, second, they seem like novices, i don’t want their deaths to be on my hands.” elias joked.
“you could’ve gone with them.” she shrugs. elias pauses for a moment, thinking about it. maybe he should. they are trying to find the most haunted areas..
“i’ll think about it.”
it was early morning of the next day, and elias had been messaging with colby since he woke up talking about whether or not he should go up with them. colby has been trying to persuade him, borderline begging him to come. they think it would be awesome for the video and their paranormal experience.
and secretly colby just wants to get to know him as well.
the four boys were in their car, on the way to the first house, to talk to a wiccan who is offering a reading, and more information on the witches forest.
“i was thinking about what the physic said a lot last night, about how corey and i are in danger, and i think they could be right. i hope we have service because we’ve never been in this forest, who knows, like what if we get lost right? that’s why i think bringing elias, who knows the area could be helpful.”
“honestly yeah, and he seems like a cool dude so.” jake shrugs, agreeing with the idea. corey then calls and agrees to come, making everyone so much more relieved.
“let’s just act like we’re going to a cabin in the woods.” corey says, trying to lighten the mood as he gets into the car.
they keep on driving, about twenty minutes out, pulling over only to get jake some food because he kept complaining about being hungry. they pull into a burger king, and grab some food. colby suggests sitting at a table so he can fill both corey and the viewers in about elias and the other wiccan.
“just to catch everyone up, we got some food and we are ten minutes away from the forest!” sam starts it off.
“i’ve been texting with both this wiccan and elias, who agreed on meeting us, but they want to meet us at her house. she was just like ‘yeah swing by, and i’ll show you my tarot cards and stuff.’”
“well, let’s hope we don’t die.”
they walk out to the parking lot, and talk a bit more, explaining to corey. “me, colby, and jake met up with jennifer and this new guy, elias, so the reason why he’s texting to this random wiccan is because they’re friends, them two would meet up with her at summer camp, and she’s going to tell us about the area.” sam said.
as they start driving, they encounter the fog of the mountains, and they struggle to see out the window.
“yeah, elias is going to be with the wiccan, so atleast it’s not like we’re by ourselves with a complete stranger.” colby mentioned.
“well we don’t really know him either.”
“better then completely alone though.” he shrugged, continuing to drive until google maps said he was at the correct address.
“so what have they told you?” sam asked.
“nothing really, just gave us the address and said see you then.” colby explained, shutting the car door. they walked up to the door, not even having to knock before someone opened the door. “hey colby!” elias said, arm on the door.
“yoo hey.” colby gave a hug before smiling. “thanks for taking up our offer on this, having you here and talk about some of the stuff is super great for the video.”
colby felt nervous, seeing elias stand confidentially at the door, he looked more relaxed today, grey sweatpants, black hoodie and his usual brown glasses. you can tell he wasn’t planning on coming.
in the light, it was much easier to see his face. he also realized elias’ hair was slightly curly.
“yeah it’s no problem.” elias said as the other wiccan presented herself. “good to see you again.”
“hey, how are you guys?” she asked. “wanna come in? if you don’t mind i’ll have to sage you though.”
“yeah it’s no problem.”
after the boys were saged, they sat around the table and began to talk about the witches forest. “so why is it called witches forest?” sam asked, getting down to business.
“there’s a lot of rituals that go on in this area, it used to be a spot with mobsters, theres a lot of satanic rituals, which aren’t as bad or evil as you would think.” elias nods along, agreeing with her.
“so you guys would consider yourselves wiccans in the way that you both study witchcraft.
“yes, i identify as a wiccan, but i feel like it has a different perception of what you would think.”
“okay so can you explain that to us.” sam asked.
“i like to live my life by the moon cycles, so full moon would be a time of like creativity and energy, where as new moon is more introspective and..” she trails off as the door opens for the second time.
“we’re trying to spend the night here, in the forest. do you think that’s a good idea or bad idea?”
elias grimances, shaking his head.
“what’s that supposed to mean?!” corey fake cries.
“a lot of people have died up there.. not recently so i don’t think you’ll die.” she says positively. “if you want we can do a little tarot reading.” she suggests, waving over elias to help her with it.
“tarot reading?” colby repeats asking for clarification.
“tarot cards really tell you what you’re feeling subconsciously, and they help give insight into the past, your future, or the present. and basically however you relate to the card, it tells you what’s going on with your inner-self or stuff you may be doing.” he explains, before sageing the cards.
“this basically helps to detach anything thats holding onto the cards, so for example, the past readings she’s done, it’s possible that those readings could effect yours. so when i sage the cards, it clears anything on them.” he hands over the cards to colby, who passes them to sam, to jake and then to corey, to get their presence onto the cards.
she takes the cards and sets them onto the table. a few gasps come from the guys after seeing the death card, “none of these are bad, so don’t be afraid.”
“the tower is an iffy card in my opinion, so it means danger and destruction, it’s basically like a very sudden unforeseen change, which means you have to rebuild. it can lead to the next chapter of your life. so it starts out negative and eventually it leads to rebuilding which is positive.” elias explains.
“yeah and chaos isn’t always a bad thing, which relates to the death card.” she taps onto it.
“the next chapter of my life is death?” sam asked.
“no.” elias answered shortly. “the death card will almost never mean death or represent anything like that. it’s typically more like the end of an era, so it implies new beginnings. it also is commonly known as the card that describes self awareness.” he was briefly interrupted by a bang upstairs.
“this card is all about fear and anxiety.” she points out. “but not a real fear, more like you’re worrying about something too much. like it’s in your head, like when you can’t sleep and you’re terrified but it’s not something that you should be worrying about. it’s more like you’re imagining something, like making up a problem.”
“like making conspiracy theories about yourself.” jake adds in, earning weird looks from colby and sam.
“just being scared of something that isn’t that big of a deal, like you’re more afraid then you need to be.” elias adds.
“that’s basically our group.” sam comments.
they talked more about the different chapters of their life, corey refusing to do more tarot. she gave more advice on how to keep the guys safe at their campsite, like taking the sage, having a ring of salt and holding hands.
elias watches as they huddle into the corner of the room and talk about some of their plans together. “honestly guys, i don’t know if i can do this.” corey admits. “this shit is crazy, we don’t need more spirits trapped with us.”
“i think we just have to hurry up because it’s a few hours from sundown, and we don’t know the area too well, i don’t want us to get lost.” sam comments.
“do you think we should invite elias?” colby asked.
“brother, now why would we do that.” corey said, shaking his head.
“he knows the area, and i think he would be awesome for content, he can tell us more stories, we can get to know him and maybe do more ghost stuff with him in the future.”
“i’m down.” jake shrugs.
“we don’t know him very well, but i do think he’d be beneficial for this.” sam doesn’t seem to care that much.
“okay well i won’t invite him if you guy’s arent sure.” they all to look corey.
“fine, but i swear to god if he murders us, i’m going to murder you again.”
“okay awesome!” colby walks away from the guys and up to elias. “i was wondering if you wanted to come with us, like to our campsite.”
“oh. uhh, i mean i guess i could hang for a bit, but it would probably be weird to stay the night with you guys. my cabin isn’t too far away in the forest so i’ll go back there once you guys are settled in.”
“we’d be chill if you wanted to stay the night in a tent beside us or something, but it’s cool if not.”
“i’ll figure it out later.” he shrugs, and follows the guys to the car. elias sits in the passenger seat, sam giving it up to sit in the back, so he didn’t have to sit squished next to strangers.
they began to drive in the direction of witches forest, taking a right turn onto a gravel road.
“so where do you suggest us staying the night exactly?”
“well i would say definitely be near one of the main roads, so you’re near your car, but as in area, if you keep going down here, there’s some pretty flat ground with trees surrounding it.” elias points in the right direction.
they pull into a blank area, and start gathering their stuff. “just down this way.” he leads, while helping carrying one of their bags.
“awesome, thank you.” sam thanks him, actually kind of surprised how much this stranger was helping them.
“do you need help setting up your tent, or?” he wondered.
“uhh..” jake mumbled, knowing he’s never put up a tent in his life.
“that is a possibility.” sam chuckles. ”so like, did you group up in california or elsewhere?” he took what colby said earlier, about getting to know him, and ran with it.
“oh uh, no i grew up in a small town out of seattle, but i moved to la when i was 17.” elias answered, feeling a bit uncomfortable.
“oh cool. why’d you leave seattle?” jake asked.
“just bad memories i guess.” he took a deep breath. “the house i grew up in.. my brother he died there when i was 6. his death brought me into the paranormal world.”
“oh, i’m sorry for your loss.” colby commented, beginning to build the tent.
“don’t be.” elias laughed it off. “it was a pretty natural death, he was born with heart complications, honestly a miracle he lived till 14. he was very positive and i’m sure he wouldn’t want people mourning, so i choose not to i guess.”
“that’s a good way to look at it.” colby smiled at the other. colby took a liking to him, he wasn’t sure why though but it felt like something was pushing him to get to know him.
“so you said you’re a medium?” corey asked, helping colby with the tent.
“yeah, the thing with my brother, it guided me to other spirits and i just kind of fell into it all. i feel things more the most people, i hear more, i sense more.” he paused. “i don’t feel any presences here but i feel sadness and regret.”
“that’s honestly really cool, so to become a medium does it need to be something that happens to you or can you like learn and study to become one?” colby asked, setting up the camera on a camping chair, pointed to elias.
“in my opinion it has to come to you, you can’t work for it. if you are gifted with the ability you can learn and study to enhance it but you can’t force it.”
“the tent’s looking good.” corey nodded towards it. “but i swear to god i don’t want to sleep here.” he begs, making everyone laugh.
once everything was set up, and looking good, elias decided to leave. “i’ll probably head up to the cabin.” he says, rubbing the back of his neck.
“yo, you sure?” jake asks, actually wanting him to stay. in the past few hours they’ve all been vibing pretty hard.
“yeah no pressure to leave.” colby said, giving him a smile.
“i don’t wanna intrude too much on your video or anything, but feel free to come to the cabin if you have any problems or something crazy happens. can’t promise staying at the cabin will be any better but still. i have wifi, hot water, beds, all that stuff so don’t be shy.” elias smiled back.
“alright, thank you.” sam nodded.
“make sure to say goodbye before you leave though!” elias called out, as he walked away.
“bye!” colby shouted.
“cya!” jake yelled.
“dude, you’re staring.” corey pointed out, laughing at his friend. colby turned to look at him, before rolling his eyes.
“shut up, i just think he’s cool.”
corey winked to sam and jake, them chuckling to eachother.
it was hours later, maybe 3 or 4, and elias was in his cabin, drinking a glass of wine, while reading one of the books from the old bookshelf. his days here were simple. he’d tend to the plants, garden, read some books and drink wine. he wish he had a more extroverted life, and would sometimes regret missing out on opportunities. such as hanging out with the guys back at the campsite.
he wondered why he didn’t just stay, when they were clearly okay with him there, but he was still unfortunately a stranger. they were okay with him there, but they didn’t want him there.
‘god i need friends’, he thought. he’s been so lonely, his only friend being jennifer, and they weren’t all that close anymore since he’s started studying witchcraft. elias has only had a few friends in his lifetime, people thinking he’s weird or abnormal for his interests and gifts, and he’s only been in one relationship which ended around 6 months.
he honestly hasn’t felt that interested in people, elias finds them too generic, but he did take interest in the group. no matter how goofy they all seemed, they were cool. especially colby, he seemed to care the most. and he was kinda cute so that’s a plus. but he was probably straight.
he paused, hearing a bang upstairs, before sighing. his only friends are the spirits of the forest. he took his glasses off and gave them a rub, as they got a bit foggy.
‘maybe a bath will ease my mind’ as he began to run a bath he heard a scream for help. his eyes widened at the voice, that was definitely colby.
“help!” it was a gut-retching scream. elias turned off the bath, and as he was running to the front door, he turned the outside lights on, immediately lighting up the area.
“colby?!” he called out, opening the door.
“elias?!” suddenly, he came into view. “holy fuck, thank god.” he sighed, relieved. he rushed to the door.
“what the hell happened out there? where is everyone?”
“i-i i got lost, i don’t know where i am, i was chasing after a shadow and i thought sam and jake were after me but i went in circles and i walked for so long it’s been like 15 minutes and i don’t know where they are.”
“woah, colby are you hurt?” elias reaches out to the others side, seeing a few smaller scratches. he gently touches them, earning a hiss out of colby.
“ouch.” he chuckles. “anyways, i really need help finding them, i don’t know what the fuck happened.”
“you said you saw a shadow figure? was it just a shadow or were there any visible descriptions?”
“just a shadow.” he shrugs, shivering a bit.
“theres been a few people spotting shadows around here, a lot of people think one of the main shadows, it’s of a larger male and it’s predicted that it’s the spirit of the husband i told you guys about earlier, and that he’s stuck in this forest as punishment.”
“jesus.” colby exhales.
“here, come in for a second, i’ll get you a heavier jacket and i’ll get a bandage for your side.”
“oh, thank you so much.” colby rubs his neck, awkwardly standing in the others home. “this cabin is actually beautiful.” he said, not expecting it.
“haha yeah, i take pride in it. nobody ever is here to see how gorgeous the wood and plants are.”
“oh why’s that?”
“i just don’t have many friends.” elias said, while grabbing a few items. “gets lonely up here.”
“hey well, you can consider us friends, i think you’re cool as hell.” colby smiles, taking the jacket, and putting it over his shoulder. “it would be awesome to have you come with us to other haunted places.”
“i-” elias was about to decline, before he thought for a minute. he knew he would regret declining. “sure, why not.” he gestured for colby to move his arm so he could wrap his side.
“that should do it.” he gave him a pat on the shoulder. “now, we really have to get you back to your friends, they’re probably freaking out.”
“yeah.” colby agreed, rubbing his side.
“do you mind if i spend the night with you guys? i have a feeling.. like i can feel something bad in your future, and i don’t think it’s safe for you guys alone.”
“oh god..” colby sighed, not ready for whatever he’s talking about. elias grabbed a few more things, and shoved it into a backpack. “it would be appreciated if you stayed with us.” he laughed it off, pretending he didn’t care too much, but he actually felt pretty nervous about the idea.
he’s never really found guys that attractive or anything but something about elias, it wasn’t even his looks, something about his personality or dare he say ‘spirit’ was alluring. colby just needed to know more, needed to get close to him.
“okay, let’s go.” he said, turning off the house lights, and turning on his flashlight.
they walked through the forest, trying to avoid all of the unnerving noises they heard. “thank you.” elias said quietly.
“what? why?”
“because, today has been the most social interaction i’ve had in awhile.” he chuckled. they continued to walk in peaceful silence, colby instinctively walking closer to elias. they smiled to eachother, elias having to look away and blush out of sight. ‘jesus, what is happening to me.’
they walked a bit more, and finally began to see bright lantern lights, similar to colby’s. “guys!” he shouted.
“no way, colby!” corey shouted, running straight to him out of relief.
“guys!”
“holy shit it’s colby!”
“colby!”
“what the fuck happened to you.” sam shook his head. they all looked closer and saw another person. as they got closer they realized it was elias.
“holy shit.” corey exclaimed.
“are you okay bro?” jake asked.
“the shadow person, i kept chasing it, i saw it again. it ran so i ran after it, i ended up going in circles and i got lost so i started screaming for help and i saw a cabin, thank god it was elias’.
“did you hear the scream? it was like a female scream.” sam explained.
colby went to sit in a chair, his side aching. “no i didn’t, i scratched my side though.” he lifted his shirt to show the bandage.
“dude, me and jake saw like a baby or something small hung.” sam said.
“bro, i looked at it, and my first thought was that it was a baby hanging, it was swaying and everything.”
“wait.. you said you saw a baby hanging?” elias looked at them in pure shock. “holy fuck.. you saw her.” he mumbled.
“what?” sam asked, eyes wide.
“what the fuck is going on.” corey shouted.
“the.. the story i told you guys, about the husband killing his pregnant wife. a few people i rented the cabin out to, they would see shadows of a hanging dead baby outside the windows.”
“holy fuck!” corey screamed, jumping before walking a few steps away.
“that is fucking crazy.” jake exclaimed, holding onto his head.
“i can’t believe this.” sam held the camera, beginning to shake. “okay, a rule, we can’t separate again.”
they began to talk about what the shadow could’ve been, talking about the biker kids they had seen earlier in the day.
“it definitely was not a biker, you would’ve heard it a mile away, and nobody just goes for a walk in the middle of the night.” elias shakes his head in disbelief at the situation.
“i’m not staying out here any longer.” jake says, running into the tent. everyone else begins to pack away their stuff, making sure that if they got scared again, they could leave without having to worry about their scattered belongings.
sam pulls out the camera once everything is put away, and gives the viewers a quick update. “just a little update guys, we did clean up our entire campsite, and now we’re going to chill in here for a little bit, because we don’t know what’s out here.” he gestures inside the tent.
“is it alright if i stay here? i don’t feel like walking back to the cabin.” he asks.
“oh yeah of course.” sam practically invites him in. “you’ll just have to deal with our gross selves.”
“i think i’ll be fine, i was a babysitter for 3 years of my life.” he joked, earning laughs from everyone.
a small fight ensues about sleeping bags with the guys, and elias sits off to the side of the tent, not wanting to get too close and make anyone uncomfortable. he watches as colby pokes around at corey’s pocket.
“brotherrrr, scared the fuck outta me.” corey cries out. “it’s either colby hitting on me again or a ghost.” elias laughed at that.
“i like to use shrek’s belly as a pillow.” jake mumbles, away from the drama.
a few minutes go by, and bugs in the tent frighten elias, while sam and colby start swatting at them before jake and corey talk about the white people face. elias, guilty of making that face more then once tonight.
the rest of the night was filled with fivesome jokes, jake playing with shrek into the camera, dance parties, sam touching more spiders in the tent, and colby trying to rest his eyes.
he originally laid near corey, between him and elias. he was resting on the end of his sleeping bag, feeling exhausted with the night so far. after another bug was squashed, they placed the camera back in the center of everyone.
elias was the closest to the camera, slightly out of frame, colby close by, corey leaning to the front, jake beside him, and sam on the other side also out of frame. “who keeps farting?” colby asked jokingly annoyed.
“yo what is that smell bro.” colby started cringing, holding his nose, causing everyone to laugh, corey the most.
“who farted dude?” jake commented about the smell looking towards sam.
“i don’t smell anything.” he shrugged carelessly, elias agreeing with him.
“yeah cause it was you!”
“someone ripped ass, and it was me two minutes ago.” corey revealed, laughing like a madman.
“my face was right by your asshole!” colby shouted, making a disgusted face to the camera before slowly shuffling away from the guy, and closer to elias. he dramatically collapsed onto elias’ leg and begged him not to do the same.
colby found his leg oddly comfortable, holding onto it like a pillow. he didn’t want to get too over the top and make elias uncomfortable, so tried to stay away from the boys lap.
then, it was back to jake putting shrek up to the camera, pretending to ring an imaginary doorbell.
“look guys, stop recording if we’re actually going to fuck.” corey pulled his sleeping bag over his face.
“yeah i don’t wanna be on camera.” elias said, holding his hands up, making everyone snicker. it was kind of awesome how they could go from complete strangers, thinking eachother was creepy, to then making jokes like this.
speaking of jokes, everyone made comments about colby and how he was sleeping all cuddly on the other, and god was it unbearable.
it was awkward, and uncomfortable but oddly enough, the friendly teasing felt better then being alone, so he dealt with it, and listened to corey’s little story about the boys and the shadowman.
suddenly, noises started getting louder. exhales, footsteps, bangings. corey felt uncomfortable, and kept demanding to leave the tent. everyone paused, trying to listen to the surrounding sounds, sam hearing a car, and elias hearing thuds.
“yo, should we just try to go to sleep?” colby asked, genuinely really tired.
“uh, no.” corey answered like it was obvious
elias felt the need to interrupt. “listen, the noises are obviously scary and whatever, but you need to understand that you guys are overthinking. think back to the tarot cards. you are scaring yourselves.” he tried to explain, as a way to calm them down.
it definitely didn’t work, corey hearing another exhale, and telling everyone to get out of the tent as a safety precaution.
eventually everyone began to rush out of the tent, into darkness, sam screaming for someone to get a light. elias put on his glasses, and grabbed a flashlight, pointing it around the camp.
he heard rustling coming from a near bush and started walking up to it, he peeked around trying to find what the noise could’ve been. “elias, hurry up!” sam called, as everyone began running to the car.
he caught up to them, not caring anymore and jumping in the back with jake and corey. “holy fuck.” he exhaled. “where are we going?”
“jennifer’s cabin.” corey replied, nodding at the idea.
sam’s phone started to ring as colby was driving on a tight road. “yo, yo, look!” he answered the call, everyone hearing absolute gibberish. it was random noises, deep exhales and other strange noises.
“that sounds like someone fucking with us.” colby stated, as sam talked about telling all his friends he was coming here.
“holy shit, i don’t think it’s someone pranking you guys.” elias stared, wide eyed at his phone before holding it up so everyone could see.
“fuck.” jake muttered. “answer! answer!”
elias answered the call, putting it on speaker phone. the sounds coming from his call was much different from sam’s. these, sounded like chants, as if a huge group of people were shouting into the phone, cursing the boy. “guys, what the fuck is this.” he had experienced everything, but never has he gotten no caller id calls, with scary ass chants. “are you fucking with me right now?” he asked the group, tears welling in his eyes.
“no! no! of course not!” colby assured him. “we don’t do shit like that.”
he pulled into the driveway of jennifer’s cabin, immediately opening the doors and seeing the pouring rain. at the door, jake started shaking the water off of him, complaining about being wet.
quickly, elias could see sam was struggling. he was digging through his bag trying to find the key. he was beginning to panic, and everyone was starting to realize.
“wait you don’t have the key?” corey questioned, getting nervous. “sam.” he sighed.
“was it in your pockets or the backpack?” colby asked.
“when do you remember last having it?” jake watched as sam patted his pockets.
“n-no i had it today, i showed the girl that jennifer gave me the key.” he defended. “here, just check the car, i swear, i have it.”
“really try to remember, did you put it in your bag or your pockets?” colby kept pushing.
sam frantically looked around the car as the others judged him, complaining and blaming him for losing the key. “hey honestly sam, don’t worry about it, it’s just a mistake.” elias tried to reassure him everything was fine, only for corey to say something.
“i thought.. it’s either here or in the backpack.. unless is it in our bags? should we check the trunk?” everyone was freaking out, and elias stood there awkwardly watching. he felt bad for sam.. he could feel the sadness and guilt dripping off of him.
“we need this key. we can’t get in. dude jennifer trusted us with this key, you can’t-”
“is this the only key?” “sam, are you fucking serious, dude. i’m not trying to be rude, but first you lowkey lost colby, and now you don’t have the key. i’m just saying, this is why i don’t like doing this type of shit.” corey raised his voice.
jake and corey agreed they didn’t want to go back to the tent, as colby kept filming. elias took a breath before saying excuse me and pulling sam to the side.
sam looked confused, but his guilt was overtaking it. “what?” he looked at the other, wondering why he dragged him a few feet away.
“dude, don’t listen to them, losing the key, like i said is a simple mistake, any of them could have done it, they’re not upset at you, they’re just upset at the cirumstances. but you’re forgetting i have a place just a few minutes away.” elias tried calming him down, seeing tears well in his eyes. he could tell sam wasn’t one that could deal with being yelled at.
“it’s not anything big, it’s a two bedroom with a pull out couch.” elias shrugged. “please just accept my offer, alright?” sam nodded, wiping any sort of water away from his eyes.
“thank you elias, really.” sam suddenly grabbed onto him, giving him a side hug.
“no worries.” he smiled, leading him back to the car, before they explained the plan to the others. everyone could see the disappointment in sam’s eyes, as he sat quiet in the passenger seat.
jake whispered to elias, about what happened out there, him shaking it off as to say it was private. he guides colby down the different roads, and in a few minutes they were outside his cabin.
“here we are!” he welcomes them inside, turning all the lights on.
“shit this is nice.” corey nodded, jumping onto the couch.
“woah woah, take your dirty ass boots off.” elias joked, watching as he threw them off in the direction of the door.
“thank you so much for having us here.” sam smiled, setting his bag down.
“really, don’t worry about it, i’m glad you’re here and not outside.” elias took their stuff and organized it by the doors. “okay so, there’s two bedrooms, you guys can take those if you want, i don’t mind sleeping on the couch.”
“hell no.” colby laughed, refusing to have him give up his own room in his own house.
“mkay whatever, someone can sleep in my room with me i guess, because trust me the couch is very uncomfortable to sleep on. plus the rooms are much safer. the living room is the scariest, you’ll hear the most shit out here.” he chuckled. “you guys can look around if you want, also feel free to eat anything you find, and use the wifi, passwords on the fridge.” he yawned. “i’m going the fuck to bed.”
the guys chuckled, taking him up on that offer.
for over half an hour, they decided to eat some of the snacks in his fridge, and taking crackers from the pantry. “god i was so hungry.” jake moaned into the leftover burger he was eating.
“okay guys, take it easy, we aren’t trying to raid their food.” colby snickered, watching as his friends ate like hungry rats.
“yeah good point.” sam took a handful of crackers and put the box back. “should we talk about sleeping arrangements?”
“there’s no fucking way i’m sleeping on the couch or anywhere in the living room after what he said.” corey stated, heading into the direction of the guest bedroom.
“yeahh, me neither.” jake followed after him.
“so.” colby shrugged. “do you care where you’re sleeping tonight?”
“not really, i’ve gotten to know elias pretty well so it doesn’t really matter to me.” the brunette squints at him.
“what did you guy’s talk about?” he questions.
“honestly, when he pulled me aside i was shocked. he like saw how overstimulated i was with the whole situation and he completely calmed me down, comforted me and everything.” he threw his arms as he was talking.
“yeah, i’m sorry about that, we were all just frustrated about the key.”
“don’t worry about it.” sam smiled. “are you and elias getting close? you were like all over him, sleeping back at the tent.” he was genuinely curious, considering he hasn’t seen his friend like this in awhile.
colby paused, thinking about everything that’s happened tonight. “honestly... i don’t know, it’s been really weird for me. i’m so confused with what im feeling.” he shook his head, so unsure.
“hm, i’ll go sleep with corey and jake.” they both nodded to that. “goodnight colby!” sam called out, walking in the same direction as the others did.
colby slowly approached elias’ room, pushing open the door gently. both bedside table lights were on, followed by a few candles around the room. he could see that the other boy was still awake. “oh hey.” he put down his book.
“hey elias. thought you were going to bed?”
“i was, heard some loud munchers in my kitchen though.” he giggled, as colby apologized. “no, honestly it’s okay, i was actually surprised how fast you guys decided to come to bed.”
elias yawned once more, stretching his arms out on the bed. “i can either sleep on the floor, make a little bed and shit, or if you’re cool i’ll just stay on the right of the bed.”
“literally don’t worry about it, not the first time i’m sleeping with a dude-” he paused, cutting himself off. “god that sounded bad.” he laughed, blushing with embarrassment.
“wouldn’t be my first time either.” elias smirked, blowing a fake kiss before wheezing at their dumb jokes.
colby moved closer, setting his personal backpack down and folding his jacket on the table. he shuffled towards the bed, and sat ontop of it. “i have no idea if i’m going to sleep tonight.” he sighed.
“that’s fair. it’s crazy out here. if you want we can just stay up and talk for awhile?”
“actually.. that would be nice.” colby rubbed the back of his neck. in was silent for a few seconds, him getting comfortable under the covers. “so..”
“how did you like the witches forest? scary enough for you guys?” the other asked, trying to start a good conversation.
“oh definitely one of the scariest places we’ve been to, like with the history of it and everything.”
“what other places have you been to?”
“uhh the stanley hotel, the biltmore, queen mary, cobb estate, griffin park, and we’ve explored so many creepy places, like morgues and abandoned hospitals.” colby explained.
“geez, no wonder you guys are haunted.” he laughs.
“do you think we are? we joke about it but im genuinely curious if we are.”
elias thinks for a minute. “i don’t think you’re haunted. however, i can sense something with you. with you and corey. whatever is following you, is completely different then what is attached to corey. notice the different in words.” he points out. “i think you have gotten yourself into many negative situations, not just paranormal.” “would you consider yourself lonely, or sad?”
colby exhaled shakily. “yes, sometimes.”
“spirits love following people that are lonely, they find them to be like easy prey, vulnerable.” he emphasizes the last word. elias closes his eyes, really focusing on colby’s presence. “i think the spirit that is with you is also lonely. they are following along with you, because you are feeding into it, giving it attention. and that’s fine, but if you don’t want it with you, you have to make it clear.”
“is it friendly?” he asked.
“yes. it’s friendly. i can’t tell you where you picked this spirit up, but it’s positive, and enjoys your company. it will not hurt you-” he stops, feeling something float by him. “it will not hurt you, it doesn’t want to, that’s not it’s intent. infact, it wants to protect you. noises you might hear, when you go to a haunted area, it very well could be this spirit trying to assert dominance with other ones.”
“holy.” colby tried to calm his breathing. “this is crazy. as long as it’s friendly, then i welcome it.” “so, do you think corey’s ghost is like bad?”
“i wouldn’t say bad, but when i was sitting near him earlier, it isn’t as friendly as yours. it likes the fear that comes with scaring him, i’d even go as far as, it wants to scare him more, it wants to up it. and with that spirit challenging him, i am nervous for his health both physically and mentally.”
“jesus, i have to tell him that in the morning, he’ll probably freak.” he sighed. “it’s so cool how you can like sense this stuff, does it ever get overwhelming?”
“allll the time.” elias chuckles. “sometimes i can just be in a library back in la, and i’ll feel like some version of spirits and like all these weird emotions, and i have to leave.”
“wow i’m sorry that comes with such an amazing gift.”
“it’s okay, i feel at peace with it now. i think my brothers with me, helping me deal with it all. i think he realizes how alone i am, and has decided to follow me.” he laughs at himself. “sorry, sorry, let’s talk about something more fun.”
colby laughed along. “so do you have a girlfriend?” he wondered, making elias pause and blush lightly.
“no, i’m single.” “goes along with the loneliness, if you feel me.” he chuckled. “you?”
“same, it’s hard to date now that sam and i’s channel has blown up. a lot of people have tried to use me for like clout and stuff.” the other frowned at that, apologizing for his past experiences. “no, no it’s okay, i just hope i’ll find someone soon, i do feel you, it gets so lonely.” he fake cries.
elias sips his glass of wine, offering some to colby. “i’m a vodka and rum kinda guy.”
and soon enough, the boys were drinking, gossiping to each other about absolutely everything. colby was a very talkative drunk it seemed. he was blabbing about his friends, girls, ghosts, anything. “so like, are you gay?” he asked.
elias spat out his wine back into the glass before turning to colby. “uh wow..” he rubbed the back of his neck. “where did that come from?”
“i-i don’t know.” colby admitted, trying to hide himself with the blanket. he really didn’t know why he asked, his weird confused feelings mixed with being drunk just made him ask, he was so curious.
“i’m bisexual.. how’d you know i was into men?”
“i.. i didn’t.” colby mumbled into the blanket. he felt himself shaking, so nervous and anxious. he took a deep breath and exhaled aggressively before jolting up and looking right at elias. “i didn’t know you liked men but i think i do.” he rushed it out.
“i’ve never felt anything for a guy before so i’m pretty freaked out right now and-d confused but i think i like you.” he rubs his eyes, embarrassed and uh pretty drunk.
“wait really?” he paused for a moment. ‘holy shit’ he thought. he never would have expected this, he just thought colby loved being physical with his friends from all the touches earlier in the night.
seeing that his confusing feelings were being reciprocated, it made elias the happiest he’s been in awhile. “dude, i feel the same way.”
colby stopped, completely still. both boys were completely shocked at each others confessions.
“like i feel like i’ve known you for awhile.” elias commented.
“same.” he tried to think of what to say next, where to go from here.
“hey.” the other touched his arm. “don’t get too nervous about this whole situation, we have plenty of time to get to know eachother, plenty of time for you to figure out everything you’re going through.” “don’t feel pressured into anything.”
colby thought for a few minutes. “thank you, i appreciate it.” “it’s.. it’s so weird feeling like this. ever since i was younger i’ve been so convinced that i’m straight, and now i’m getting all these feelings for you and it’s honestly making me scared. what if i do like you? does that mean i have to come out? tell my friends, family and viewers? what if i don’t and this is just a mistake?”
“you can.. or we can figure it out one step at a time.” elias smiled. “and by the way, never feel pressured to come out, it’s a personal and heavy thing to do.”
he shivered, tears threatening to spill. it was such a vulnerable moment for him. elias reached out to the boy, offering a hug.
they shared a tight hug, elias rubbing his back out of comfort.
their moment was interrupted by an incredibly loud bang, and three loud screams from the guys in the other room. “colby!” one of them shouted.
they pulled apart from their hug, just as the three barged into their room. “did you fucking hear that, bro?!” sam questioned, before looking at the people in front of him. he acknowledged how close they were, the slight tears in colby’s eyes,how intimate the room lighting was, the wine, the white rum..
oh fuck, they just interrupted a moment.
the other two didn’t notice, too scared of the noises they’ve been hearing all night. “that was the loudest one yet!” jake announced.
“i’m not going back in there.” corey whined.
“we’ve been hearing shit over there, what about you?” sam asked, before mouthing a sorry to the two sitting in bed. elias smiled at the gesture, before trying to wipe off his smirk.
“nope.” colby shook his head, his eyes less red then a few minutes ago.
“it’s safer in here.” corey stated, setting down the pillow he brought from the other room, and curling into a ball onto the floor, making elias laugh.
“are we having a sleepover?” he asked.
“oh, fucking totally.” jake snickered, running back to the other room and grabbing every blanket and pillow he could.
sam made a gesture with his finger, calling over colby. he noticed and walked to the bathroom with him.
“uh, hey, sorry about that, we didn’t mean to interrupt you guys.”
“interrupt? you uh didn’t interrupt anything we were just talking.”
sam made a face, before nodding. it was his business, so when he wanted to tell him, he would, so he left it alone. “alright.. you ready for this sleepover?” he smiled.
“fuckkk yeahh.”
it had been over an hour, everyone was dead asleep, corey snoring. elias was the only one awake, he was too in thought to sleep. he watched over colby, who was laying right infront of him on the floor with the rest of the guys. they were each laying on both bed mattresses, covered in blankets, basically in a line.
he had been debating to put an arm around colby, but.. if they woke up like that he could expose colby to the rest of his friends, or atleast cause him to get teased.
after a bit, he decided to shuffle his left arm under colby, so it was less noticeable. he held the boy, smiling, before finally falling asleep.
he didn’t know this, but colby was awake the entire time, smiling, wondering what the frick he was gonna do about this goofy medium he found himself possibly falling in love with...

I'm Not Going Anywhere
Pairing: Dean Winchester x Reader
Request: Could you do a Dean x reader, where the reader is seriously injured on a hunt. She and Dean never really got along before, always bickering with the other. But she sees a whole other side to him, freaking out and concerned. Insisting on helping clean her up after the hunt? You’re seriously my favorite author ❤️
Masterlist
Story
[Y/N] and Dean Winchester did not get along. They didn't consider each other friends. To her, he was her best friend's grumpy older brother. To him, she was his little brother's annoying best friend. They just had a lot of friction whenever they were in the same place at the same time, and had for years. She didn't live far from the boys, and Sam would often invite her to the bunker for movie nights, food, research, or just to hang out. Nearly every time, Dean would either stay in his room the whole time, or make an excuse to go out somewhere. On the rare occasion that he would stick around, like he had to several months ago for Sam's birthday dinner, they bickered. Nothing big ever happened between them to make them dislike each other, they just had very different personalities. [Y/N] didn't like how closed off Dean was, or how he constantly sacrificed himself for Sam. She knew how much it affected Sam every time Dean threw himself in danger without just taking some time out to think. He was too impulsive, and never listened, or even asked for the advice of those around him.
Dean didn't like [Y/N]'s positive attitude. She always assumed they would win fights, that everything would work out fine, and he felt that this attitude meant she could be pretty careless on hunts. She had never faced monsters as bad as the Winchesters had. Sure, he had seen her take down werewolves and vampires, ghosts and ghouls, even a demon or two. She had never fought against an angel though, never mind Lucifer himself. She had never had to deal with an apocalypse, or God himself working against her. He felt like her carelessness would eventually end up with her dead. He also worried that her carelessness would eventually lead to Sam being hurt. He never approved of Sam going on cases with her for this reason.
[Y/N] was relaxing on her couch in her little apartment, a blanket on her lap, reading through a novel she'd picked up that morning. She'd had a self-care day; a nice walk, stopped by her favourite cafe in town followed by a little trip to her favourite book store, ordered take out from her favourite restaurant, then spent an hour with candles lit in a hot bubble bath. She was really getting into the story when her phone rang and pulled her out of it. Grabbing her phone, she saw that Sam was calling her, and she answered immediately.
"Hey Sam, what's up?"
"Hey, is now a good time? I have a favour to ask".
"Yeah sure, what is it?"
"I need you to go on a case with Dean". [Y/N] exhaled heavily and closed her book, setting it down beside her and sitting up straight.
"Why?" She asked.
"Well, he found this case and he won't pass it over to another hunter, he's insisting on going".
"I thought neither of you were going to look for cases while your leg was still healing from that shifter case last week?"
"He came across it by accident, or at least he claims to have. Look, I can't go with him with my leg, I still can't walk on it properly. It sounds like a werewolf, there were two victims last week found with missing hearts. Can you please go with him? No one else is free and he said he'll go on his own if I can't find someone to join him".
[Y/N] sighed before answering. "How far away is it?"
"Two days?" She could imagine his grimace as he said this. Two days in a car with just Dean, which also meant having to stop somewhere and spend the night, and she definitely wasn't willing to spend money on an entire motel room just for herself on a hunt that she didn't want to go on.
"You're paying for my room. And you owe me one. No, make that two. You owe me two".
"Thank you. Thank you [Y/N], you're the best. He'll pick you up from your place in the morning, okay? Probably 7am".
"Fine"
"I'll see you when you're back, keep me updated".
"Yeah yeah, okay. Night Sam".
"Goodnight [Y/N]". With that, she hung up the phone. Putting her book on the table in front of her, she pushed back her blanket and stood up; self-care day was over. She packed her hunting bag and left it by her front door, and set out her clothes for the morning before getting into bed. Tomorrow was going to be a long day.
***
Just before 7am, [Y/N] locked up and left her apartment, heading out to see if Dean was there yet. Spotting the Impala when she walked around the corner, she felt apprehension and took a deep breath before walking up to the driver's side. She knocked on the window and Dean looked up, and she didn't miss him rolling his eyes, when he nodded to the seat beside him. Walking around the car, she opened up the passenger seat and slid in beside him. "Morning". She said, but he just nodded and pulled away from the kerb. Several minutes in, she tried to make conversation again. "How's Sam's leg?'
"Why don't you ask him yourself?" He asked, not really paying attention to her as he was changing lanes. Trying not to let him get on her nerves too early, she took a deep breath and tried again.
"How far are we driving today?"
"About 14 hours. We'll be driving through a small town around 12pm, we can stop then for a quick lunch. There's another town a few hours after that where we can make a quick stop if we need. Should get to the motel by 10pm. We'll probably be doing another 9 hours or so tomorrow but I have a timeslot booked with the coroner's office for 4pm so we'll have to leave pretty early in the morning".
"Right, well that's a lot of driving. Are we taking turns?" Dean scoffed at this suggestion and glanced at her as if she'd grown an extra head.
"No way in hell are you ever driving my Baby". He shook his head.
"Dean, we can't do this case separately, we have to be a team".
"We can do the whole teamwork thing when we get there, not a second before. Now, shut your cakehole, I need my music to concentrate". He turned up the volume of the cassette tape that was playing, and [Y/N] decided it was best not to push him any further this early on in the day. She pulled up the hood of her hoodie and folded her arms, turning away from Dean and leaning her head against the back seat, she was going to try and get some more sleep since there was nothing else to really do.
***
Four hours into the drive [Y/N] wasn't able to sleep anymore. She had woken up to find that it was a hot day, no clouds in sight with the sun glaring in through the windows. She had shrugged out of her jacket and pulled her hoodie off, completely missing the way Dean looked over at her as her t-shirt rode up, exposing the side of her waist. She threw the jacket and hoodie into the back of the car before pulling her t-shirt down, and Dean swallowed and shook his head to clear his thoughts before focusing back on the road. With only about an hour left until they were stopping for lunch, [Y/N] pulled out one of the books she'd brought on werewolves. The book had originally come from the bunker, Sam had given it to her before her first wolf case a couple of years before. She had only been on a few werewolf cases since, so she needed to brush up on her knowledge and not give Dean any more reasons to doubt her skills.
"Alright, hope you're hungry". Dean said as he pulled in beside a diner. They'd entered the small town just after noon and had been looking for a place to stop for some food.
"Think they have pie?" [Y/N] asked as she reached over the back seat to grab her hoodie, causing her t-shirt to ride up again. Her question caused Dean to look over to her just in time to catch a glimpse at her bare waist again.
"What?" Dean asked after clearing his throat, [Y/N] looked over at him.
"I was just wondering if they'll have pie here". She said, then pulled on the hoodie.
"Oh... yeah, well they better". Dean cleared his throat again before letting himself out of the car and heading towards the diner, [Y/N] following behind him.
They sat opposite each other in a booth and each ordered a burger and fries. Dean flirted with the waitress, and [Y/N] was a bit caught off guard with his smile as he flirted. She wasn't used to seeing Dean's smile considering whenever he was looking at her it was usually with a frown or a glare. His smile lit up his entire face; the crinkles beside his eyes made him look kind, the freckles on his nose made him look younger, and his green eyes sparkled as he used a cheesy pick-up line. "What?" Dean asked, looking back at [Y/N] making her realise that she'd been staring.
"Sorry, nothing". She said and busied herself by looking down at her phone to send Sam an update. They spent their meal glued to their phones, not talking at all. They each ordered pie to take back to the car with them, and set off on the next leg of their journey. The next town that they were going to stop in was another five hours away, so [Y/N] took back out her werewolf book and began to read through it.
"Sam tell you about the case?" Dean asked about thirty minutes into the drive.
"Oh, not really, just mentioned that it looked like werewolves".
"Were you gonna ask me about it or just go in blindly and hope for the best like usual?"
"What do you mean 'like usual'? We've been on like five hunts together in total".
"Yeah, and on each of those hunts you were wreckless. Sam aways comes back from hunts with more cuts and bruises when he's with you than when he hunts with anyone else".
"Oh so I'm a bad hunter? Is that what you're saying?"
"Yeah, I am. You run into situations without thinking first, you don't watch your partner's back. It's dangerous to hunt with you".
"Dangerous, really? And how many time have you died Dean? How many times have you run into a situation without stopping to think? How many times has Sam died while with you? Because I've never died, and no one I've hunted with has ever died while on a hunt with me either". Dean glared at her, bringing up his deaths were one thing, but bringing up Sam's got to him.
"How about I fill you in when we get to the next town. No more talking in the car". He said, loosening his grip on the wheel after realising his knuckles were white from gripping it too hard.
"Suits me". [Y/N] angled herself away from Dean and went back to her werewolf book.
***
It was evening when Dean pulled into another diner, and neither of them had said another word. They made their way into the diner and ordered their food, [Y/N] ignored Dean's flirting with the waitress this time in favour of checking her phone to see how much farther away the motel was. It looked to be a four hour drive away, though it would probably be less with Dean's driving. She had been texting Sam throughout the day, complaining about Dean's behaviour, but Sam could only apologise and sympathise. Dean cleared his throat while they were waiting for the food, pulling [Y/N]'s attention up from her phone. "So the case. Two bodies were found last week, local law enforcement is chalking it up to an animal attack, but there was a witness who said they saw their friend being attacked by a 'monster'. Both victims were also missing their hearts. Like I said before, tomorrow when we get there we have an appointment with the coroner's office. I say you take that on and I'll go talk to the sherrif and see if there was anything else unusual about the scenes. We'll need to interview the witness at some stage too, maybe after the coroner's office you can do that, don't think examining the bodies will take long". He kept his voice down as the waitress came over with their food, and Dean wasted no time in tucking in.
"So you wanna do everything separately?"
"No, I'm just saying we'll be driving all tomorrow morning and most of the afternoon, so we need to get the interviews and stuff out of the way early. We can meet back at the motel when we're both done and hunt the thing down together".
"Why do we need to examine the bodies? Animal attack and missing hearts is plenty of evidence".
"Need to see it for ourselves, can't trust these small towns, you have to assume there's corruption and lies everywhere".
"Is that your motto for life?" [Y/N] asked while bringing some food up to her mouth.
"Look Sweetheart, this is my case. You're just here to help. That means you listen, you follow, and you do as I say. You have a problem with that, you can find your own way home and I'll do this on my own. Do you have any real questions about the case?"
"Nope". [Y/N] no longer felt like continuing the conversation, she just wanted to finish, get in the car, and get to the motel.
"Good". Dean finished his drink and made his way over to the waitress, presumably to try and get a number while [Y/N] finished up.
***
It was dark when they got to the motel, and [Y/N] was tired. She knew Dean had to be too after driving all day, so she was looking forward to getting some sleep. She was waiting in the car while Dean was getting the rooms, and when she saw him walking back to the car he did not look happy. She got out and gave him a raised eyebrow and he sighed. "Only one room. Come on". Dean grabbed his bag from the car and started walking towards a room, [Y/N] quickly grabbing her bag and following him. Dean groaned when he walked into the room and [Y/N] knew exactly why when she walked in behind him; there was only one bed.
"They don't have any rooms with two beds?" She asked, dropping her bag down onto the couch.
"They said this was the last room. I'm paying, so the bed is mine, you can have the couch". He said as he laid his bag down on the bed, laying claim to it.
"You sure you and Sam are related?" She asked, folding her arms and facing him.
"What?"
"He's just so nice, and thoughtful, you know? Selfless, giving, kind. A gentleman, some may say". Dean just scoffed and muttered something under his breath before sitting down on his bed. [Y/N] shook her head and grabbed her pyjamas, a pair of shorts and an old t-shirt, and headed to the bathroom. She decided that a shower would be good to wash away the annoyance at Dean she felt building up, and thankfully the motel had hot water. She washed, dried off, and dressed herself in her pyjamas before heading back out to Dean. When she opened the door he looked up, his eyes immediately drawn to her bare legs before scanning her body up to her wet hair, subconsciously licking his lips. She felt herself blush and she cleared her throat before walking over to the couch and pretending like she hadn't just seen him check hed out. She suddenly felt self-conscious in her choice of pyjamas, and pulled out a blanket from her bag to cover herself with.
"We'll uh, leave at 5am". Dean said and [Y/N] just nodded, lying back as Dean took his turn in the bathroom. She was asleep before he came back out.
***
It was 3pm when they arrived at the next motel the following afternoon, having stopped off for a very quiet and awkward lunch earlier. Luckily, this motel had two rooms, and they got changed into their FBI outfits separately. The plan was for [Y/N] to visit the coroner's office and check out the bodies, then go and interview the witness. Dean was going to the sherrif's office to talk about the investigations and find out if anything else unusual was happening, then check out the places where the victims were attacked. The coroner's office was beside the sherrif's, so Dean was going to drive them both there. When [Y/N] stepped out of her room, Dean was leaving his room at the same time. She couldn't help but admire him in his suit; as much as they didn't like each other, she couldn't deny that he was extremely handsome, especially in the afternoon sun with the way the light caught in his eyes. They were going to be apart for a couple of hours at least, something she was grateful for.
***
They met back at the motel later that evening to exchange information, and they were both certain now that it was a werewolf. The victims knew each other well, they were close friends, and, according to the witness, another one of their friends had been acting strange for a couple of months. They had his address, and they changed into more comfortable clothes before heading out. "You got silver bullets, and a silver blade? Or do you need to borrow some?" Dean asked before pulling up to the suspect's house.
"I have my own, thanks".
"That's surprising".
"I'm sorry, is this not the point where the teamwork starts?" [Y/N] snapped at him.
"Let's just get this over with". Dean sighed as he got out of the car. Once the two of them had all of their gear ready, [Y/N] went up to the front door of the house while Dean pressed himself to the side of the house, out of view of whoever opened the door but ready to charge in if needed. The door opened to reveal a tall, lanky man, he actually looked a lot like Garth except he had red hair.
"Hello?" The man asked, looking down at [Y/N].
"Hi! Mr. Lynch, is it?"
"Yes, can I help you?"
"I'm hoping you can. I'm a reporter working for a small news website, and I heard that two of your friends were killed last week in an animal attack, I'm very sorry for your loss". [Y/N] gave him a sympathetic look but the man looked uncomfortable rather than sad. "I was wondering if you wouldn't mind just telling me about them?"
"I uh... now's not a good time. Sorry". He went to close the door but [Y/N] stuck her arm out to stop it and smiled up at him.
"I'll be around for a few days, why don't you give me your number and we can work out a better time?"
"Oh, alright I suppose". He said as she took out a little notepad and a silver pen from her jacket pocket. The moment he took the pen he yelped and dropped it, stumbling back into the house and giving [Y/N] an opportunity to step in and hold her knife up to his throat.
"Did you kill them?" She asked him, staring into his eyes. His hands were up beside his head in surrender, and he stuttered out his response.
"It..it was a-an accident. I-I swear!"
"[Y/N] there's a second one!" Dean's voice boomed behind her in the doorway and she snapped her head up to see another man growling at her. The distraction gave Lynch time to push her hand holding her knife back up towards here, nicking her neck and forcing her backwards. The both leaped at her, clawing at her shoulder and legs. She managed to plunge the silver knife into Lynch's chest while Dean had grabbed the second one. When she looked up to try and catch her breath, Dean had already stabbed the second man. He grabbed Lynch and pulled his body off of [Y/N]. She winced with the change of pressure, and looked down to see a lot of blood coming from both her shoulder and her leg. "Shit, [Y/N] you're hurt". He leaned down to take a closer look at her but she shook her head.
"Check the rest of the house... make sure there aren't more". She was still trying to catch her breath while applying pressure to her leg. Dean was torn, he wanted to check her injuries but he knew she was right, they could still be in danger.
"Don't move, I'll be right back". [Y/N] let out a breath she didn't realise she was holding as she watched Dean run up the stairs. Her leg was throbbing and her shoulder was stinging, she was never going to hear the end of this from Dean. After only a few minutes Dean was back, rushing towards her. He knelt down beside her and moved her hand so he could see her leg, then he moved his eyes up to her shoulder. "We need to get you to a hospital, come on". He moved to wrap an arm around her shoulder but she jerked back.
"No, no hospital. Just help me get back to the motel, I can stitch myself up".
"Are you serious?"
"Dean the nearest hospital is hours away, just bring me to the motel, please". She looked up at him in confusion, she didn't see any anger on his face, only concern mixed with panic.
"Alright, come on, I've got you". He moved closer to her and this time she let him pick her up. She grabbed onto his flannel, the pain in her leg striking her again as he stood up. "Shh, you're okay, we'll get you cleaned up". He had a pained expression as he looked down at her, the distress on her face overly evident. He opened up the passenger door and set her down on the seat before shrugging off his flannel and tying it around her thigh in an attempt to help stop the bleeding. She whimpered under his touch and he watched her eyes close, so he quickly tapped her cheek. "Hey, hey you know the drill, no falling asleep. You're fine, okay? You just need to stay awake for me". She opened her eyes again, looked up at him and nodded. Quickly, he ran around to the driver's side and drove them as fast as he could to the motel.
He carried her into his room in the motel and set her down on the bed, holding her shoulders for a few seconds until she had her balance sitting at the edge. "Can you bring me your medical kit?" She asked him, but he shook his head.
"You're not stitching yourself up, I'll do it".
"I can do it".
"I know you can, but I can do it faster since I'm not injured. Please let me?" He opened up his medical kit and set it down beside her on the bed before kneeling down in front of her.
"Okay". She grumbled.
"Okay, thank you. I'm gonna have to get those jeans off you to get to the gash on your leg, is that alright?" He asked as he pulled her shoes off.
"Yeah, yeah go ahead". She felt light-headed and it was taking all of her concentration just to stay sitting up. She had to admit it would have been difficult to stitch herself up, she was glad that Dean was doing it for her. She braced herself as Dean untied his flannel from her thigh and pealed her jeans off, wincing as the movement of the fabric agitated her cut.
"Sorry". He mumbled as he took out alcohol and wipes. "This is gonna sting, you ready?" He asked looking up at her. She had never seen such a genuine look of concern from Dean directed towards her in all the years she'd known him. She nodded and gritted her teeth as he poured the alcohol over the cut and wiped it clean. He was surprisingly gentle, and the pain was numbed slightly as she was distracted by the concentration on his face. He took out a needle and thread from a suture kit and got to work. The cut was deep but it wasn't very long, so Dean didn't take very long to stitch it up. He applied a bandage to it before looking back up at her. "Let's have a look at that shoulder". He helped her take off the hoodie she was wearing along with her t-shirt, leaving her sitting on the bed in her underwear. Noticing that she seemed uncomfortable, Dean made his way over to his bag quickly and pulled out a pair of sweatpants. "Uh, you can wear these, since your leg is done".
She smiled and mumbled a 'thanks' to him as he helped her get into them, rolling them up at the bottom since they were too long. Dean patched up her shoulder and also cleaned the little nick on her neck before closing up his medical kit and grabbing a spare t-shirt from his bag, which he also helped her into.
"You're a good patient". He chuckled as he sat down beside her.
"You're pretty good at cleaning up injuries".
"Lot's of practice". He shrugged. "You uh, you were good out there today". She looked at him for any hint of sarcasm but she couldn't find any. Noticing her confused expression he elaborated. "We weren't expecting two, but you were good with that Lynch guy, I mean you got him while they were both attacking you. I'm impressed".
"I'd be dead if you weren't there".
"I guess I'd be dead too if Sam hadn't insisted you come with me. This was definitely a two person case".
She had an urge to ask him why he was suddenly being nice to her, but she didn't want to push him. "Yeah, well, I'm glad it's over and we're both okay. I'll see you in the morning?" Shs asked as she went to stand up. Immediately realising it was a bad idea when she put her weight on her cut leg, she lost her balance.
"Woah, where are you trying to go?" Dean caught her as she fell backwards onto the bed.
"My room?"
"You should stay in here tonight, let me keep an eye on those wounds. That cut on your leg is pretty deep, I want to make sure it doesn't bleed through the bandage".
"Where am I going to sleep?" She asked, looking around the room and noticing that there was no couch, just a chair and the bed, and there wasn't exactly enough floor space for either of them to fit on.
"You've never shared a bed with Sam while out on hunts?" He asked with an eyebrow raised.
"Oh, well, yeah I have, but he's my best friend". She felt her cheeks heat up at the thought of sharing a bed with Dean.
"Well, I don't snore as much as he does". He winked at her and on a whim, leaned his hand over to pat her not-damaged thigh. When he didn't take his hand back, [Y/N] also went out on a whim and leaned towards him more, chancing a glance down at his lips knowing he would see her do it. Taking her hint, he leaned in the rest of the way and pressed his lips to hers. Her hand slid up his chest and into the short hair on the top of his neck, while his grip on her thigh tightened and he moved his other hand to her waist. He licked her lower lip and she let him in straight away, deepening the kiss. Her free hand made its way to his bicep, feeling just how strong he was as the hand he had on her waist slipped under her shirt. She felt him smile into the kiss before he pulled away and leaned his forehead on hers.
"What was that for?" She asked, keeping her eyes closed.
"You scared me today, I thought I'd lost you". He said as his thumb stroked her waist.
"Would you really care if you had?"
"Would you care if you'd lost me?" He asked, and she didn't respond straight away.
"Yeah, I would. I care about you, Dean. You've never let me in though, you've shut me out since the day Sam introduced us".
"I shut everyone out. Everyone I love ends up dead eventually". She opened her eyes and saw that his were still closed, and she saw a tear escape from one of them.
"I'm not going anywhere". She whispered to him as she wiped his tear away, causing him to open his eyes and stare back into hers. "Come on, help me into bed". She smiled at him and he nodded, letting go of her to stand up and pull the covers back. He helped her slide in before getting in beside her. He lay on his back and opened his arms for her to lay her head on his chest, while he pulled her in tight, careful not to put any pressure on her shoulder. He kissed the top of her head as she yawned. "I'm not going anywhere". She repeated. With her now safe in his arms, he was actually looking forward to the two day drive back home.
The end.

MY SON'S PORN LIFE
It was just porn, I rationalized, and I'm a man with a more than healthy libido. Married with three kids, I have a decent sex life with my wife, especially considering that we've been married for 25 years now.
But I like to jerk off, too, and since I turned 50, my bi side had been rearing itself more. A while back I went through a phase of lining up no-strings BJs from guys on the side. I'd put that behind me, but I still got off on the fantasy of fucking a guy or having him suck me. 8 times out of 10, when I was looking for stroke fodder, I'd pull up a gay porn video.
Then came the fateful day. I didn't even know what I was looking at first. I was just browsing one of those free video sites and saw a thumbnail of two hot bodies with a tag like "Hot Jocks Fuck After Practice." Unlike with women, I don't even know that I have a type when it comes to guys, but these dudes looked hot... muscular and young 20s, smooth bodied. They're probably everyone's type.
I clicked, and my heart sank.
It started out PG-rated, with two jockish guys sitting on a couch, one with his arm draped over the other's shoulder as the cameraman asked them questions and the guys talking about being excited for the scene that was about to happen.
One of the young men, the blond hunk with his arm draped over the beefier dark-haired guy, was my son Travis.
Holy fuck. I got a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. I couldn't believe it at first. My oldest kid - and only son - was doing gay porn. I listened to another half minute of the pre-sex interview and watched as Travis turned to the dark-haired dude, with a playful lust in his blue eyes and said, "Yeah, Sam has an amazing ass." He turned back to the camera with a grin and added, "Like, big fucking meaty cakes..."
"Ha," the cameraman laughed. "You ready to do this then?"
"Hell yeah," the dark haired guy replied.
I closed the browser, hyperventilating.
My Trav. Good kid, great student, played football at the expensive college we sent him to. I didn't know how long he'd been doing porn, or if this was a one-off. I wondered if he had any troubles, financial difficulties, drugs, gambling, whatever, that led him to do this. I wondered if I should tell his mother.
But I paused, staring at now blank screen. Maybe Travis was doing this for money, but he seemed to be enjoying himself. Sure there was playing along, but you can only fake so much.
And I knew Kate would freak out. She wasn't judgmental, but this was something else. Besides, she was the worrying sort of mother. That's why I loved her, that's why she was such a wonderful parent. But this would break her heart. I'd be keeping this to myself.
***
It was mid-afternoon in the office when Kate called. "Brad, you still able to make Caitlin's game today?" Our middle daughter Courtney was in college now, and Caitlin was now a senior in high school, which meant these soccer games would soon be a thing of the past.
I didn't mind, really. I had a sales job that could be crazy busy and required a lot of travel but days like that day I had some flexibility. And I loved my girls and enjoyed being the supportive dad. There were a few soccer parents who regularly showed up and we all kind of bonded. And the girls' team was really good that year. It was fun.
"Yeah, I'll be there."
"Great," my wife said. "I should be able to catch the last half, and maybe we can get dinner out. I have book club tonight," she reminded me.
We wrapped our conversation and I checked the clock. 2:30. I put in another hour of work, then cut out early.
I knew I'd be on my own for taking care of my orgasm that evening, so I went home first. I had enough time for a nice, leisurely stroke and looked forward to enjoying it.
As I got to my bedroom and kicked off my shoes, though, a thought hit me. A curiosity, sure, but also a horniness.
I wanted to watch my son Travis fuck a guy.
I was shaking a little as I searched again for that video. But I wasn't as hesitant as I should have been. It took me a few seconds to find it. That familiar thumbnail. My heart beat. I pressed play.
I listened to the introductory banter. The flirtiness between the two guys, putting on their dumb-jock act. Then the cameraman prodding, "You ready to do this then?"
I was rock hard. My son kissed dark haired guy. Trav looked like a smooth operator, snaking his tongue between the other guy's lips and making out, softly at first, then with more lust.
Their hands now removed their tank tops. Dark haired guy was real muscular, like a total gym body. Still had his baby fat, which made his bulk hotter somehow. I watched Trav feel him up, and I had to unzip.
Travis was the real star, though. Ripped, waxed smooth, tanned muscle contrasting with his adorable boy next door looks. My eyes were riveted to him, drawn as much as the dark haired guy's hands, which were now pawing at Travis's bare chest and abs, and then moving down...
I let out a groan when that hand cupped Travis's crotch. This was the moment of truth. Was I going to watch more?
I couldn't stop it, or take my eyes away. Trav got a playful look on his face and undid his shorts, making his abs crunch as he lifted his hips to slide them off.
There it was. My son's cock. His erection, long and thick, very much like my own. I never thought of myself as having a porn star cock, but I knew I was hung, and now I had a son who literally had a porn star dick.
I felt the excitement over take me as I stroked my own prick and jets of semen shot out. Uncontrollably. A crazy orgasm that had my head flushed and pounding from the taboo excitement.
I shut the video and the computer. And I quickly cleaned my mess.
Fuck.
***
Yeah, I felt like a heel. But I'd gotten off big time, and I knew I would again.
By now I had a good lead. Trav went by the name of "Brent" and was a Sean Cody model. Turns out this wasn't his only, or even his first video.
I found the others. Each one was better than the last. Travis was the jock-next-door type who played it up for the camera. His MO seemed to be to start off slow and romantic with a guy and work up to really pounding the bottom's ass with long, hard strokes. More than one came hands free from it. I just about did, even watching.
I watched them all, savoring them one by one until I was able to make it to the end of each. Then I watched them repeatedly, too much. I thought the guilt would kick in and I'd come to my senses, but I never did. I thought the novelty of the forbidden fruit would wear off, but I came buckets watching Travis fuck guys. Every single time.
I dug around more. From the comments on blogs, it seemed that "Brent" was a fan favorite. There was some bitching from guys that Sean Cody didn't have stars like Travis any more, that they'd gone downhill over the last year.
That hit me for some reason. I mean, I was glad that porn was just a temporary thing for my son. Logically, I would have been happier if it hadn't been a thing at all for him. But fuck, I wanted to see more. I loved watching my son. It was like spying on him, letting me be a voyeur into his sex life. And, hands down, Travis was just a stud.
I initially felt a burst of shame when I saw my wife or daughters after I stroked off. But they didn't know. I was still a good father, though if Travis knew I wouldn't blame him for having another opinion of me.
When Travis came home for Christmas, it hit me. The awkwardness, the weight of the secret. He thought I was just stressed from work or something, I guess. We ended up having a good visit with him. But he seemed like he had something on his mind.
The last day, he gathered us around the table. He was nervous as hell, but he came right out with. "I've got something to tell you guys... I'm gay."
Caitlin and Courtney immediately got out of their chairs and went to hug their big brother. I never was prouder of them.
I wondered if Kate had any inclination, but I could tell then that she was surprised. She was supporting as always though. Not touchy feely like our daughter, but more communicative.
It was my turn. "We love you son. And I'm proud as hell of ya." I was getting a little teary but tried to be the stoic Dad. I think Travis appreciated both.
***
Life moved forward. Caitlin graduated from high school and was getting ready to head out East for college. Courtney was applying to med schools. Kate and I were starting to talk seriously about retirement and making plans for a future now that the kids were flying the coop.
Travis was now 25, out of college and living in Chicago. He worked as a personal trainer and just enjoyed being a young guy in the big city. He was probably enjoying dating and the gay scene, but I didn't know the details. But I had a sales visit in Chicago pretty often and I'd always book an extra night to have some quality time with my son.
It was nice to have a break from the "Brent" videos. Maybe it was the increased sex with Kate, a kind of second honeymoon, but I was watching way less porn. And while I visited Travis's videos from time to time, I wasn't as obsessed with them.
Until I saw a new one. An OnlyFans one shot in a hotel room. Only he was no longer "Brent" but "JakeTheJock." But it was the same hunky Travis, he'd even put on a little more muscle. And the same fuck technique... romantic making out, some swapped BJs or 69 for foreplay. Rimming his bottom, then going to pound town on him bareback.
It was like a junkie mainlining after getting out of rehab. I knew I shouldn't be watching, but there was just an incredible rush, a high even. I had gotten to where I regularly busted twice in a session watching Travis fuck, but this had me getting off three times.
It took some creativity but I found a way to subscribe to Trav's OnlyFans without any telltale signs on my credit card statement. With regularity, I found time to get off to watching my very hunky son have sex. The guilt hadn't gone completely away, but I'd gotten real good and compartmentalizing it. The weird thing is for as much as I watched my son's porn videos, I didn't have any specific fantasies involving me and him. It was just an immediate lust, combined with the thrill of taboo and the voyeurism of almost spying on him. Seeing his secret life.
At first I missed the relative professionalism of the Sean Cody vids, but Travis's OnlyFans offered the advantage of quantity. Every week, I got to watch Travis with another guy. Or a repeat session with one of the other OF "stars." He was branching out beyond jock types like him and doing other men. Some older, some beefier, some hairy. I loved watching it all. A couch BJ in a New York apartment, or shower sex in some London hotel. I was following up on my son's travel through his porn page.
***
It was hard to look at my son the same way again. I loved him and respected him as a normal proud parent, but when I visited him, in the back of my head all I could think of was Travis's toned muscle, his big thick dick and the size of his cum loads oozing out of some muscle dude's ass.
For what it was worth, my son SEEMED happier now, enjoying his life and his day job and filling me in a little on his dating life when I came to visit.
"Maybe I'm not ready to settle down," he admitted with a grin as we had dinner in some downtown restaurant that Travis had picked a change of pace from the expense account steakhouses I took prospects on my sales call.
God help me I found my son so attractive at that moment. The dim light of the restaurant bringing out his blond hair and blue eyes and his dimples and perfect teeth. I actually threw hard in my suit trousers under the tablecloth.
I was fucked up, I knew, but the next day I requested to be put more regularly on the Midwest territory at work. I passed it off as seniority and wanting some closer travel, but really I just wanted to be in Chicago more.
***
The next video my life changed. It was a Tuesday after my Chicago visit and I'd cut out of work a little early to have some time with a new video that was planned to drop. I still had no idea how far in advance Travis shot these. Maybe it was made right after my visit or weeks before.
I just knew something was different about this one. Travis had been paired with some older men before, mostly fitness buff types and muscle guys. But this one with by the handle "CornfedDaddy" and he looked a little like Travis - blond and blue eyed, that Scandinavian-German stock giving him some real height and bulk. He looked even more like me. Middle aged, fit but more normal looking than a normal porn star. I wondered how Travis's fan subscribers would react but seeing Travis making out with this dude got me hard as fuck.
I knew it was because I imagined myself in CornfedDaddy's place, and Travis actively attracted to me.
And that attraction was real. Travis wasn't faking the intensity of that kiss or the excitement in feeling up that 40-something bulk. My hunky son seemed almost dreamy voice as he growled, "Ready to show the guys something new, Daddy?"
That very word almost had me coming.
The man was like one of my goddamn work colleagues, or the married men you'd see around Kansas City. And he talked like a suburban guy, too. "Fuck yes," he answered with a happy laugh.
Travis's strong hand massaged the man's boner through his shorts, then pushed the hem down. CornfedDaddy might not have had a porn star body, but that dick was big, bigger than Travis's.
I watched as my son leaned over and started sucking on that giant hog.
I came, my first cum, shooting hard into my fist. I had to let go to cool off and stop the video a second. I wiped off the excess cum and tossed the kleenex in the trash. This was gonna be an epic stroke session.
I took a look around and checked my phone. Coast was going to be clear for a while. I resumed watching.
I'd seen Travis suck a dick before, but this felt more purposeful and certainly more of a challenge than the other bottoms he'd been with. But like before, he pulled off and leaned back on the couch, ready for his turn at being serviced. He pulled down his shorts and I saw my son's beautiful dick. I was proud I'd created a man that amazing.
CornfedDaddy got a big grin and scooted down onto his knees, between Travis's legs. I loved watching guys suck my son. Occasionally Travis would post oral only videos of some guy blowing him and swallowing his load. I don't know that I preferred those to the fucking but they were amazing in their own different way.
But Cornfed Daddy had a different kind of swagger to his dad-next-door expression. "Lift em up, son," he urged. And Travis did, pulling those thick, knotted thighs up and back to his chest.
The Daddy dove in, starting to rim Travis with an excited urgency.
"That's it, Daddy, eat my hole!" my son cried.
I shot the second time.
I was hyperventilating now. It took me a second to get the energy to pause the video. Daddy was just pulling out.
I looked down at my load. Not as heavy as the first, but jesus it was heavier than it had a right to be. I was grateful now that I hadn't chickened out or let my guilt stop me from subscribing to Travis's videos.
I took more of a break this time. I got some water and checked some work emails. I knew I wanted another cum, but i was in my 50s. I'd need some recovery time.
Finally, I was ready. I already knew this would be a video I'd savor for many sessions. I resumed it and wondered it was going to go where I dreamed it might.
It did. Cornfed grabbed some lube and slicked up his cock before lining it up with my sons hole, teasing it some.
"First time on camera, right?" he asked Travis.
My son's adorable smile showed as he nodded. "Fuck yeah. Figure it was time for those guys to watch me get fucked."
Cornfed gave him a quick kiss then leaned up and hissed. "Let's show them, then."
And like that I was watching another man penetrate my stud son's hot ass.
I held off stroking and just let my cock ache in hardness as I watched. I knew instinctively this was not Travis's first cock. But the virginity idea hit me deep, and the men on screen were playing it up.
Travis leaned back and stroked his big dick and came hard, shooting ropes on his ripped torso.
Cornfed kept fucking, but within a minute he was getting close, too. I watched him approach his nut and started stroking myself, trying to time my third cum with the ejaculation inside my son. It was pretty close. Watching that Daddy orgasm and hearing his grunt sent me firing.
By now, I was feeling spent and overstimulated. I had to shut the video and focus on something besides what I saw.
****
I had a Chicago sales call the following week. I gave Travis some space, telling him I'd be in the city more now and if he had other plans, he shouldn't feel obligated to meet up this time.
"Nonsense, Dad," he said. "I have some evening clients that day but I could meet you after."
I had a business dinner anyway, so I told him I'd come to Boystown for a change, and meet him for a drink around 9:30.
God, he looked like a million bucks, his workout clothes fitting his form well. He had an amazing body on camera, but up close his muscle seemed firmer, bigger. I had a fleeting thought that I should hire him as my personal trainer.
I was tempted to have a normal evening, but it had been weighing on my mind. The need to come clean. Not all of it of course, but halfway through our first drink I dropped the bombshell.
"Trav... I know how to bring this up, but I know about your videos," I said quietly.
I expected a sense of shame or embarrassment, but Travis mostly just seemed surprised. "Did someone tell you?" he asked.
I shook my head, letting out more than maybe I should. "No, I just stumbled on one."
That made my son grin. "So you watched me?" he asked with a gentle laugh.
The fact that my son didn't seem put off by me watching him made my heart pound and my mind go where it shouldn't. But I lied. "No... when I saw it was you...." I didn't know how to explain, maybe because there was no good explanation.
Travis's laid back nature put me at ease some. "I didn't know you were into gay stuff, Dad," he said with an easy smile. I could tell he was happy with that knowledge. Maybe it made him feel less of an outcast in the family or something.
"I guess I have a bi streak when it comes to porn," I admitted. I figured it was the least I could own up to, since I'd practically admitted it already. "But you're not telling your mother," I added with a playful smile of your own.
"Don't worry, Dad," he assured me. "Um, does she know about my porn life."
"No," I said. "No guarantees someone won't tell her, though."
He nodded. "Yeah, I figure. I mean, I'm not ashamed of it, Dad. I enjoy it and it's good money coming in. I'll probably be able to buy a nice condo in a year or so."
I shook my head with a little wince. For as much as I'd perved to my son, a father doesn't like hearing this kid is doing something which may harm him. "I hope you don't mind that I brought it up."
Travis patted my leg. Not flirty, but affectionate. "Nah, it's good you did. I don't like keeping secrets." He took as sip of his drink then continued, "Can I ask you a personal question?"
"Depends," I said. Nervous for what he was going to ask.
"So, when you came across my vid, you must have been watching some other stuff, right?"
"Yes," I replied softy.
Travis's expression got a little naughty grin. "Like, what kind of stuff?"
"Travis!" I admonished him.
"Come on, Dad," he coaxed me, undaunted. "It's just porn. All guys watch it."
God, there was something so assured and open about my son's embrace of sexuality that had me opening up to him. "There are a couple of guys that I like," I said, naming two of the Only Fans models I'd seen Travis paired with: MusclePupXXX and MrCakes.
I could tell my son was glad I told him. A secret between us, and maybe a bond. "I know those guys," he smiled. "I can hook you up with one if you like."
"Jesus!" I swore. Then gaining my calm, I tried to respond with a quip, "In case you don't remember, I'm a married man."
He shrugged. "It's just sex. I mean, men are pigs right?"
I worried maybe my son was way too jaded and that doing porn hadn't helped him. A scary idea occured to me. "Trav... you're not hustling are you?" I'd been afraid to ask.
Travis sighed. "It's not like that, Dad," he said. I wish he'd come out and said "no." But I got some assurance out his reply. "I like doing porn and that's good enough for me. It helps me build my client base up, too."
"For real?" I asked. For some reason I hadn't thought there would be a benefit to doing those videos.
"Oh yeah," my son explained. "I get so much business from guys who want me as a trainer."
"What? Do you sleep with them?" Then I held my hands up. "You know what? That's none of my business."
"You really wanna know," Travis was challenging me. "I don't charge them for it, but yeah, if they're hot and there's chemistry, then I'll have sex with them. It's fun and I've met a lot of hot guys that way. They're happy, too." He paused and gauged my reaction. "You don't approve, do you?"
I sighed and shook my head. "It's me who's worried about you not approving," I said.
Travis seemed surprised. "For watching gay porn? Dad, that's like the most normal thing ever. Seriously."
Our conversation turned to more normal day-to-day stuff, but when I got back to my hotel, I was glad I'd cleared the air with Travis. I felt like he had a closer bond now.
***
My next trip was a few weeks later. I'd hoped to treat Travis to dinner, but I had a business engagement that kept me till late. I texted my son to see if he was up for meeting me for a drink somewhere. He said sure and I grabbed an Uber to meet him closer to his neighborhood.
He wasn't alone. As I walked into the place, I saw him sitting next to a guy. Shorter, compact muscle that showed through his tight T-shirt. Trimmed beard, cute as fuck. It was MusclePupXXX.
"Hey Dad, I brought my friend Mike along," he explained. I played it cool and shook the guy's hands. The dude's eyes were on me, lecherous but playful at the same time. I was annoyed at Travis but also feeling an ego boost that this stud friend of his would be into me.
The next fifteen minutes was excruciating though. Trying to have a conversation with my son and small talk with this stranger at the same time. Processing my conflicting emotions.
Finally, Mike excused himself to the restroom. Travis had a shit-eating grin.
"Trav, what the fuck?" I growled.
He seemed undaunted. "Come on, Dad. Mike thinks your hot. It's your fantasy on a silver plate. Bang a porn star. No strings, no worries."
"I can't," I complained.
"If you don't wanna, no skin off my back," he said. "Honest, Dad, I'm not trying to piss you off. Just thought you'd enjoy it."
Mike came back, interrupting our conversation. We'd finished the drink, when Travis said he had to go. "I have a 6AM client," he explained, getting up from the bar seat.
Mike looked over at me, trying to read what I was going to do.
"I think I may stay for another," I said, blushing the minute I said it.
Mike didn't miss a beat. "I will too. Later, bro?" he said to Travis, giving him a fist bump then getting up for a gay-dude hug and kiss.
The remainder of the evening went down pretty much as you'd expect. Heavy eye contact then me taking MusclePupXXX back to my hotel room, where I got a real porn star blow job before pulling him off and asking if I could fuck him.
This wasn't some DL Craigslist BJ. This was real, honest to god man-to-man sex, and it ws incredible. I pounded this muscle hunk in multiple positions and he was every bit the power bottom he was on screen. It occurred to me that he was getting the father of another guy who'd fucked him and that was a big part of the turn on for him. The idea got me off, too, and I nutted hard in his hole, collapsing onto his back as I caught my breath.
I thought I'd feel guilty after but that orgasm had put me in a good mood. We showered together, softly making out and exploring each other's soapy wet bodies.
"So, my son didn't pay you for that, did he?" I asked, not accusing in tone, more curious.
Mike grinned and reached down to cup my genitals. "Nah. You're hot, man. You're a good fuck too. You should hit me up next time you're in Chicago."
"So you live here," I said dumbly. For some reason I thought maybe Mike was just visiting from New York or LA.
"Best city on Earth," he nodded proudly. "And Midwestern guys are the hottest."
With that he turned around and backed his meaty ass against my now hard again dick. Yeah, round two sounded amazing.
***
The next time I visited, I fucked MusclePupXXX again. A quickie in the afternoon, before my work dinner. It felt naughty as hell.
He called me Daddy during sex, and I let a "son" or two slip out. That both worked us up big time, and it was clear my relation to Travis was in the back of our minds. It was still in the back of my mind when I met Travis later on for dinner. He didn't ask me about Mike and I wondered if he knew. But he had a knowing look about something.
Summer came, and the work travel slowed. I followed my son on OnlyFans as he went to Barcelona and Fire Island. He was bottoming more now, and he seemed to be with older men more. Daddy types. CornfedDaddy made a regular appearance when he was back in Chicago, and I half wondered if they were dating.
Travis was out of town the next time I went to Chicago for work, but MusclePup Mike was there. I had him over to my hotel after dinner and he stayed over the night. We went at it deep with the dad-son thing. I knew it was wrong, but I was SO turned on doing it. And it thrilled Mike, too. The more I was "Dad" for him the more eagerly he bounced on my cock.
"You're incredible," I said to him the next morning as I brought him a coffee from the hotel lobby. I'd gotten showered and dressed for my morning meeting.
Mike had buzzed-short hair and looked adorable first thing in the morning. "You're not getting feeling for me are you, Mr. Connors?" He'd taken to calling me by my last name. I let him.
I shook my head. "No. Just living out a midlife crisis, I suppose."
That made him break out in a goofy grin. Mike was short, 5'7" or so, and his compact build looked all bulked up with his brawn. "Well, lucky for you that midlife crises are my speciality," he grinned, leaning forward and unzipping my suit trousers.
I set down my coffee and felt the silky soft mouth go down on me. For all our time together, Mike had never sucked me to completion. He was going to now. I gently ran my fingers through his hair as he worked me more eagerly and got me to the finish line. I came hard down his throat and was grateful that that made bottoms as hot as MusclePup Mike.
"That gonna last you today, Daddy?" he asked with a lewd smile.
"It should," I replied, meeting him for a soft kiss and tasting my own cum on his lips.
***
Travis bought his condo. Lakeview, modern, amazing 1 bed room. He was proud and happy and clearly eager to show it off to me. The furnishing was still sparse and Travis talked a mile a minute about his plans for decorating the place and making it feel like home.
He walked me over to the window and described how his view was protected because of the park across the street. I patted his shoulder.
"It's an amazing place, son," I said. "You did well."
Travis kind of leaned into me some, and I saw a look in his eye. Gone was the confident assured porn star. There was my son, questioning me. I knew then that Mike had told him stuff. And I knew what was on Travis's mind.
"You know," I said. "I lied to you before. I've watched your videos. All of them."
That made my son smile. There was the confident sex machine coming to life. "Yeah, what did you think?" his voice had almost a gravely sound and I knew he was turned on.
"They were the hottest goddamn thing I've ever seen in my life," I hissed.
Our lips met. Soft at first, then hard charging. We'd built up too much lust to take it easy. Travis's hands were unbuttoning my dress shirt and I was tugging at the hem of hit T.
"Fuck... we gonna do this, Dad?" he growled with lust.
"If we don't I'll have the worst blue balls in the world," I replied.
This was so wrong, and that forbidden nature fueled our excitement. We stepped back and stripped for each other. Then Travis took my hand and led me to his bedroom.
"You're gonna be the first guy to fuck me here," he said naughtily. Our naked bodies clung to one another on the bed, father cock against son cock, as we made out. Travis scooted from my grip and fumbled for some lube. I equally fumbled prepping myself and getting in place. The fuck was rushed, too rushed. I came within a minute of entry and my son didn't seem to do better.
But we lay on the bed side by side, holding hands and grinning at each other. Cocks still hard. My first load inside my son, his streaming and liquefying on his chest.
"I can't believe I just fucked JakeTheJock," I joked, and Travis laughed.
"Would you ever consider doing that on camera?" he asked.
That shocked me, but Travis added, "You could wear a mask, no one would know it was you, Dad. Think about it. It would be hot as fuck."
I would think about it. That was the crazy thing. My son had a way of upending my world.
But for now, I didn't want any cameras or onlookers. I just wanted it to be me and Trav. He smiled at me and squeezed my hand. Then he climbed on top of my naked body and kissed me deeply as he bucked his slick ass against my boner. My hands possessively felt up his gym-perfected body and decided I was going to get in real shape myself.
For now, Travis seemed into me, into my dad bod, into fucking around with his actual father. I felt him shift angle and my rigid shaft entered a now more pliable, open hole as my son sank down on me.
I had an hour before I had to go get ready for my meeting, and I was going to make the most of it.

all i wanted was you // colby brock
a/n: sorry i haven't posted in a while just brainstorming ideas plus busy with my job lol btw i'm excited to do this idea because it's based off a song (All I Wanted Song by Paramore) if you know that song your a GOAT :) also this imagine is based on the video "scary hide and seek (slender man)" on Sams channel!!
prompt: playing a game of hide and seek can reveal hiding spots, but it can also reveal secrets.
trigger warning: cursing
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Think of me when you're out, when you're out there
I'll beg you nice from my knees
And when the world treats you way too fairly
Well, it's a shame I'm a dream
Sam is starting his intro while all of us sits on the couch, "all right guys we got all the contestants here, for hide n seek." sam says pointing the camera to show all of us in frame, "all right guys so it's hide and seek, I'm gonna be seeking, all you guys are going to be competing  for a one grand prize."
while sam is explaining the rules to all of us in the theater room, colby taps me on the shoulder "hey, wanna hide together i got a really good spot?" i shake my head yes since colby usually wins all these challenges since he likes to to find good hiding spots to make them win every time.
ask Sam goes to the front yard to start counting down everyone scattered everywhere to find a hiding spot, "okay y/n this hiding spot is gold no one will find us-" colby was interrupted as we were walking out the theater room. "y/n come hide with me in the laundry room, No one will find us there." says Brennen from behind us.
"sorry brennen but y/n is hiding with me." brennen lets out a big sigh "but you guys always partner up together in these challenges ." i look between both of them and I can see colby being annoyed, because we are wasting time here. "you know what brennen, you can hide with me and colby."
All I wanted was you
All I wanted was you
Colby huffs and shows us his hiding spot, we walk into his room and into his closet and he shows us the small hiding space which is really good place to hide. "this is really a two person hiding spot brennen so..." colby looks at brennen. "yeah but i can fit if i just squeeze." colby rolls his eyes, "guys if you want ill just find my own hiding spot and you and brennen can hide here."
"no it was supposed to be for you and me y/n, not brennen." brennen looks shocked "what do you mean not brennen, what the fuck did i do?" i stand surprised between them watching them argue, "brennen, no offense, but every time I try to hang out with y/n you always, but yourself into  to our hang out shesh and plus you always flirt with y/n leave her alone!" colby yells
"I always flirt with y/n? Let's talk about you. All you do is talk about Y/N even when she's not here you're up her butt all the fucking time and that shit kinda annoying, all I did was just asked hide with her and you freak out what the fuck is wrong with you man I'm finding a new hiding spot!" brennen snaps.
brennen leaves the room.
I think I'll pace my apartment a few times
And fall asleep on the couch
And wake up early to black-and-white reruns
That escaped from my mouth (oh, oh)
All I wanted was you
All I wanted was you
All I wanted was you
"what the fuck was that all about colby? two grown men arguing over a hiding spot, ha never thought I see that coming" I tried to drain out the tension. "that was much more than an argument about a stupid, fucking hiding spot y/n." i look at him confused, I mean it was about a hiding spot.
"then what was that about?" i look at him dead in the eye he looks at me back. he doesn't say a word. "colby," i touch his shoulder "than what was it about?" "it was about you." colby licks he lips as he sighs "what the fuck do you mean its about me?" he backs up "oh y/n you really wanna know?" i shake my head yes.
"brennen is right all I do is talk about you all the time and think about you. don't you notice? I flirt with you all the time and I'm always there for you more than anybody else." I furrow my eyebrows together. "what do you mean dont i notice, isn't that what best friends are supposed to do?  be there there for each other all the time."
"how more oblivious can't you get y/n." he closes his eyes for a moment to reopen them and make eye contact with me "i love you y/n."
"no,no,no what do you mean you 'love me' you can't love me we're only friends."
I could follow you to the beginning
Just to relive the start
And maybe then we'd remember to slow down
At all of our favorite parts
"y/n remember my favorite memory of us at the carnival? I still even have a carnival tickets."
~flashback~
"y/n, im going to win you that big purple bear okay?" i look at him "oh why? what if i want the pink one?" i point, "you don't like pink your favorite color is purple."
"ah your right mr. brock!" we are next in line for the basketball game. "colby, if i dont get that purple bear by tonight, I will cry." I say, in a overdramatic voice, "oh, and I will hate to see my favorite girl crying." he laughs.
he makes four baskets in a row, the man working at the stand says "congratulations you have won, now you can pick any prize you want." colby looks at me, smiling happy that he accomplish something "uh, can i get the big purple teddy bear up for this lovely lady right here." the guy working at the stand gave me the big fluffy purple teddy bear, "what should we name it?"I ask, "we should name it noodles." i giggle "and why is that?"
"because our favorite food is noodles."
~flashback ends~
"okay but-" I get interrupted by Colby.
"do you remember the time where I practically admitted to being in love with you?"
~flashback~
me and Colby we're sitting at the beach late at night. It was pitch black dark in the stars are looking beautiful as ever. we sat in silence as we watch the waves, crashing to the shore. We look at the stars, dazzling, bright, as ever. "do you ever think about your future husband?" colby broke the silence, "well, no why?" I look over at Colby, and he still looking at the stars "well I think about my future wife all the time want me to describe her for you."
"yeah." he looks at me, "my future, wife is the most gorgeous woman I have ever seen. She has have the most dropdead gorgeous smile ever and she has hypnotizing eyes that sucks. You in every time you look at her. she is adventurous, risk-taking and fun to be around. she has long y/h/c, and y/e/c eyes. she is just amazing."
"sounds like you're describing me." i laugh, "i am" he looks me dead in the eye "okay colby enough of the joking I'm cold, let's go back to the house."
~end flashback~
"oh my god." is all i could say. colby steps close to me and kisses me on the lips, his hand pressed on my hips as i wrap my my arms around his neck. our lips move in sync, we break the kiss.
"all i wanted was you y/n."
Demetri Alexopoulos Relationship Headcanons
I got carried away...
this boy literally doesn’t know how to handle it
I’m sorry, but Demetri is the most clueless one on the show
have you seen the way he tried to flirt on the show? Like that for you, but 20x worse. Cause it’s you
and look at you... of course he’s gonna trip over a pencil on his way to share a super cool fun fact no one asked for. And then play it off cool when you look his way and try to spill a smart remark that only ends up with a stammering mess and word vomit
and we adore him for it
and clearly you did too. He doesn’t know how it worked for him, but here you are: dressed up for a date with him
unimaginable, he insists-
is prepared and will rant about the latest comic book in his possession for upwards of an hour on end. And you support him and appreciate his passions
r i g h t ???? yes :)
okay this is something I’ve been imagining
so he has a Bean in his room. You know those giant bean bag chairs that are half the size of a couch? A Bean. He has one in his room. And when you sleep over, that’s your home
his parents trust you two in the room at night cause they know you live on the Bean. And that thing is only really comfortable with one person’s weight sinking in
you’ve considered stealing the Bean on multiple occasions
but how could you pull this off? How could you pull it out his door, down the hall, down the stairs, and out the front door into your car without anyone noticing?
this is one of your life’s biggest questions
would he give it to you if you just asked nicely? Ha. No. It’s his Bean. Get your own
okay I feel like his parents are divorced, and you’ve only met one of them
the other one doesn’t know of your existence cause Demetri never sees or talks to them
(idk what canon has to say about this, but I don’t care. At all. Because my word goes now)
Hawk kinda scares you not gonna lie
Miguel and Sam are cool about you, though
okay bear with me hear
my gut is speaking to me
this is coming to me like an oracle in my dreams
he tried two times to ask you to prom, one of which was before you were together
the first time he got up to face you very far ahead of time, got out four words, and promptly excused himself. You politely waited for him to come back, which never happened
then the second time happened. You realized what he was trying to stammer out after two rambled sentences and you just popped the question yourself
you should have seen his face
I truly and utterly believe this man was dumbfounded
he knew you would agree
it was still a shocker
Hawk tagged along on your prom date, which you didn’t mind, given when he had just gone through
he thought you minded, and politely dipped out without warning midway through
which led to you and Demetri hosting a search party for him for about an hour
you had to let Demetri abandon the effort a little when he started hyperventilating over the thought of his best friend being kidnapped
Hawk was just chilling by the car, though
but that’s beside the point
couples costumes
and the most offhand ones, too
not Anakin and Padme
not salt and pepper
no, you two went as freaking Captain Crunch and the berries one year
and you rocked it
it does stress you sometimes when he gets so down and pessimistic
you know he thinks that way about your relationship, but only cause it’s his first defensive instinct to assume danger and disappointment
you make it your mission not to let him down
he deserves better than what he expects from the world
this is a fun relationship
can be a little stressful at times. But aren’t we all?
---
please this was fun to think about
Sick
“Morning Sunshine!” You call to Sam as you make your way to the kitchen. You only get a groan in response. “You okay Sam?” You ask making your way toward the living room.
“Don’t come over here. I don’t want to get you sick.”
“I don’t get sick Sam.” You remind him, your powers make it nearly impossible for you to get sick, or hurt really.
“Nox, I have never felt worse in my life, you don’t want to test your powers limits with this one.”
“Don’t you think you might be being a bit dramatic Sam?”
“No.” He groans as you round the couch to get a closer look at him. You hate to admit it but he doesn’t look good. You make your way over to him and gently cup his face in your hands, he lets out a little sigh of relief as you attempt to ease his pain.
“That feels nice, thanks Nox.” He says and you hum softly.
“Just get some sleep okay Sammy?”
“Okay.” He mutters before he goes to sleep. Your powers, while helpful in the field sometimes feel limiting, your ability to numb not only the pain but also put your teammates in a kind of cryosleep often leaves you wishing you could do more. The sleep helps their bodies heal and keeps them from being further wounded out in the field, Bucky had freaked out the first time you’d offered to use your powers with him but once you’d been able to convince him that it felt nothing like what Hydra had done to him he’d given it a try, now he’s so used to it that you’ve even started to help ease him to sleep on particularly bad nights.
You head back into the kitchen and start a pot of coffee for Steve. He wasn’t much further behind you, after your training session he’d kindly let you shower first because you were going to be doing some work with Helen later and needed to get going. You’d tried to convince him to shower with you but Steve had only laughed, pressed a quick kiss to your lips and gone for another lap around the compound. Which, if you had things to do was really the best move but it didn’t mean you liked that move.
You then pull some juice out of the fridge and make some toast for breakfast, you don’t need much because of the protein shake you’d had before your workout but you like having actual food in you when you’re going to be working with Cho. After eating quickly you make your way down to the lab and when Helen sees you she gives you a wide smile.
“Hey, are you ready to be science nerds?” She asks and you laugh,
“The science sisters?” You ask, Tony likes to refer to himself and Bruce as the science bros after he’d heard Peter say it was what the kids at his school called them.
“I love it.” She says with a laugh, “So you ready to get to work?”
You and Helen are trying to single out the gene that allows Inhumane to be Inhumane and specifically for your powers to work. You’ve been working for months and so far nothing has happened and it’s only a matter of time that you move on to just try and figure out a way to synthetically replicate your powers in a gas form so that you can just give the canisters to a team member and even if you’re not on a mission you know that your team will be able to take care of one another as if you are there.
Three hours later you’ve given some more blood and Helen is murmuring something about taking some bone marrow and that’s making you very nervous.
“Hey,” Steve says strolling into the lab, “We’re doing a movie night tonight.” He tells you pressing a quick kiss to your forehead, “You have any requests to throw into the running?”
“Just no horror.” You tell him and he gives you a little smirk, “Yea, yea Rogers. Keep it to yourself.” You tell him causing him to laugh. It amuses him to no end that you’re an Avenger who can’t stand horror movies, the one time that you’d tried to watch you’d ended up in his lap a blanket over your head and your hands over your ears. Neither of you had been particularly upset about you ending in his lap but it absolutely wasn’t a relaxing night for you.
“Cho, you’re welcome to come to movie night, like always.”
“Thank you. I might take you up on that, I have family dinner tonight with my parents, brother and his new perfect wife so I might need an excuse to escape.” You and Helen have spent enough time together for you to know the toxic family that she comes from, and you know that even though she says it flippantly it bothers her more than she’d admit.
“We can always call with an emergency if you want.” You offer and she laughs softly, which was your goal.
“Keep your phone on you.” She says and you nod,
“So, you,” Steve says with a smile looking down at you, “have about an hour before we’re having dinner. I’m doing tacos.”
“I knew I loved you for a reason.” You tease and he laughs before kissing you.
“I’ll let the two of you get back to work.”
“See you in an hour.” You tell him and he laughs, “what?”
“Unless you set a timer I’ll be back to get you.” He isn’t wrong, you tend to lose track of time more often than you’d like to admit.
“FRIDAY tell me to leave for dinner in one hour.”
“On it.” She says and you give Steve a pleased little smile, he shakes his head at you, gives your hand a little squeeze then heads out of the lab.
“You guys are grossly cute.” Helen says without looking at you and you give her a little shrug, she’s not wrong.
An hour later FRIDAY alerts you that it’s time to go back to your and Steve’s apartment. You talk about your lack of progress with him while you eat, he tells you about a couple of the new recruits that have joined the Avengers top squad, he doesn’t seem overly impressed but you know that he and Natasha will have them in fighting form soon, and if they don’t then they won’t pass and make it to the actual team. Doing the job that you do requires you to have complete faith and trust in the people that you work with. If you don’t, things can go sideways and fast.
When you’re done with dinner you clean up then head down to the theatre room. You still don’t know what movie you’re going to watch but that’s okay, as long as it isn’t a horror movie you don’t really care what you watch. Steve would’ve told you if it was a horror movie, when you get there Pepper, Natasha, Scott and Hope are already in the room. You grab your favorite blanket while Steve sits down on one of the couches.
“No Sam, Clint or Tony?” You ask flopping down on the couch next to Steve. Clint almost never misses movie night.
“Tony was feeling a little under the weather.” Pepper says as she settles into her seat.
“Clint was sleeping and I’ve made that mistake before.” Nat says with a laugh,
“Sam isn’t feeling well either. I’m going to go check on him because I helped him get some solid sleep earlier which should’ve helped enough for him to be here.” You say popping off the couch, “Go ahead and start without me if you want.” You tell them as you head back out of the room toward Sam’s room. When the elevator opens on Sam’s floor you see Bucky waiting to get on.
“Hey, did you check on Sam?”
“Bird brain? No. Why?”
“He’s not feeling well, I want to see how he’s doing before I abandon him for movie night.”
“I’ll come with ya. He sleeps like the dead sometimes.” Bucky offers and you nod before going to Sam’s room. Bucky pounds on the door and calls, “Hey! Tweety! We’re coming in.”
“Classy Bucky.” You tease following him into Sam’s apartment. You go into his room and he’s sound asleep, when you go to wake him you touch his shoulder and he’s on fire. “Oh my god.” You cup his face, just to make sure you’re not imagining things. His fever is dangerously high, your heart sinks, you didn’t help him earlier.
“Bucky! Get in here! Something’s wrong. I need him in the hospital wing now!” Bucky scoops Sam up and throws him over his shoulder before disappearing out into the hallway. “FRIDAY call Cho.”
“Of course.”
“Keep up with me.” You tell her as you sprint after Bucky and Sam to the hospital wing.
First fanfic
No smut don't worry- kinda basic- kinda Colby fluff
Pt 1- next part might be posted later today
"Are you ready?" Your best friend Lizzie asks. "Of course I am! I'm so exited!" You respond a little over enthusiastically. Of course your exited, after all you've been planning this for a few months now. You and her are flying out to LA to film a video with Sam and Colby. They reached out to you because you and Lizzie do ghost hunting content too. "Your not worried? They are kind of our rivals after all." She continues to pack as you respond. "You just say that because they've reacted to a few of our videos. I'm sure they're really nice guys." In reality you've been worrying about this since they first presented you both with the idea. But there's no turning back now, and plus, you don't really feel like telling her why your really nervous. Ever since Sam and colby first reacted to one of your videos, people just assumed it meant you were rivals. Every time you would watch one of their videos you would laugh and tell Lizzie that you should go there. Sometimes you would. But that's not why your nervous. Your nervous because ever since you watched one of their videos, you finally realized how cute Colby was. And now you get to meet him in person, your so scared.
"They were supposed to be here an hour ago!" You whined as Colby's car finally pulled up to the airport. Sam rolled down his window because of an angry motion from Lizzie. "What took you too so long? We had enough time to shop for new clothes! " You giggled a little because you actually had gone shopping. Lizzie looked a little flustered when Colby leaned over and said "No hello or anything?" You gave her a side eye. "Well, are you going to make us wait an hour for revenge or are you going to get in? " Sam said sarcastically. As we put our luggage on the trunk and got in you realized you were in a car with the greatest rivals of your entire YouTube career. You whisper to Lizzie, "We're going to stay at their house right? " She quietly laughed. " Yeah, we're staying at Colby's place. Why do you always ask the dumbest questions? You asked me that at the restaurant too! " "Shh, your being loud! " Sam turned around. "We can still hear you, even when you whisper." You notice Lizzie got a little red on the cheeks. She gets easily flustered. "Well, it's not like it was anything bad." You rolled your eyes at her.
-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-at Colby's house-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-
When you walked in you audibly gasped. Sure you had seen his house in videos but seeing it in person was amazing. You lightly remember telling Lizzie that it would be your dream to step foot in here. "Well ladies, make yourselves at home. I'm sorry but you will have to sleep on the couch. " You looked around and he must've noticed because he said "Here, I'll give you both the tour." As he led you around you heard Sam call you and Lizzie to come over for dinner. You and her practically ran down the stairs because you were so hungry. Because you ran you ended up tripping and falling off the last step. You heard Lizzie call Colby and felt him pick you up and lay you on the couch. "You okay? You must've been really hungry. Don't worry I'll bring you some food, just stay here!" You couldn't help but blush a little at his kindness. "That sounds great." As him and Lizzie left, you found the tv remote and watched Family Guy till Colby came back. As he promised he brought a plate of Mac and cheese and chicken. "Sam got KFC. Are you feeling better? Oh no-" he looked pretty freaked out and ran to his kitchen where he got a bunch of paper towels and pressed them against your head. "What happened? " You got scared. "There was blood running down from the middle of your forehead." He looked genuinely concerned. You pushed his hand away. "You can go back to the party, I'll be fine on my own." "If I leave you, I'll feel too bad. I'm staying." Something about those words made you blush again. "Oh, y/n, your face is all red! Are you ok?" You got embarrassed and shoved your face in the pillow you were laying on. "Wait, were you blushing? Oh my god you were!" You felt like you wanted to cry but you didn't. Not yet. You shot up and ran to his bathroom. "If I stay here long enough Lizzie will come back and we can all go to sleep." You said to yourself. You heard footsteps outside. You were crying a little, but you were mostly embarrased. "Hey, I was just joking you know." It sounded like he had sat down against the door. You tried your best to hide that you were crying but your voice still sounded sad. "No, I 𝘸𝘢𝘴 blushing." You sobbed a little bit more. "Are you crying?" He gently opened the door and came in. You were on the floor with your knees to your face. "Hey, it's ok! Here let's go back down and we can just watch family guy and forget this all happened." You managed to nod through the sobs and Colby proceeded to grab a roll of toilet paper and carry you back to the couch. "Do you want to sit next to me or back where you were before?" You pointed to him and he laid you on the couch and grabbed a blanket. He laid down next to you and you fell asleep on his shoulder while watching Season 67 episode 396 of family guy.
That's all for now folks next part will probably be later today. Kinda corny but I like it that way
Warmth
Pairing: Alpha Beefy Bucky x Female Mutant Reader
Summary: Being paired off with Bucky Barnes on a mission was hard enough. Hell, the two of you being a part of Hydra a long time ago was already hard enough. But when the two of you are forced to seek shelter in an Avengers safehouse, it gets even worse.
Because there's only one freaking bed.
Will you survive the night with the grumpy Alpha by your side? Or will you rip your hair out?
Who knows. The nights are unpredictable.
What you do know is, is that Bucky Barnes is too fucking hot for his damn good.
Maybe you just might pull your hair out.
Warnings: Heavy A/B/O dynamics. Mentions of past torture from Hydra for both Bucky and the Reader. This Bucky is sort of a mix between CW!Bucky, (hence the beefy!Bucky), but also TFATWS!Bucky bc I love grumpy old man, sassy Bucky. Some angst/hurt/comfort, because I'm a hoe for angst. No heats/ruts in this lil fic, just good ole rough smut. Some biting and some mild blood too. This sex would be considered unprotected irl, but in the a/b/o verse, I don't think you'd need protection??? Who knows. Italics are for when Bucky and the Reader are talking in Russian. The Reader also has a nightmare, which ties back in with the whole mention of past torture from Hydra. If I missed any other warnings in this, let me know and I'll make sure to add them!
Additional Notes: This was written for @agentofbarnes's writing challenge! Congrats on 7k, Zee! I'm sorry this took so long. I started writing this in July, and let it marinate for far too long. But it's here now. I hope you enjoy!
All writing mistakes in this fic are mine, as usual.
Hell.
This was absolute pure fucking hell.
As you and the former Winter Soldier, James "Bucky" Barnes himself stared at the front door of one of the safehouses for the Avengers in case of emergencies, you couldn't help make eye contact with him.
Great. This was just great.
No one, not even Clint had told you that it would be snowing in freaking January in rural Ohio, of all places.
Then again, you had faintly remembered doing gymnastics before you had been taken by Hydra with some arrogant Alpha guy named Lance. He had been a real pain in your ass and you remembered you had made him cry once. After you had escaped from Hydra, you had bumped into him again. Funnily enough, he was still just as scared of you as he was all those years ago. Which, you know, was nice.
But what was not nice was the Alpha that was currently looking back at you. James Buchanan Barnes, Bucky, Buck, White Panther, Jesus, Bionic Staring Machine- (the last three nicknames, all given to him by the Alpha Sam Wilson himself), scowled at you. His blue eyes even narrowed at you.
You wouldn't call what you and Bucky had a friendship. You two weren't even enemies. Heck, colleagues? Teammates? That was just putting it lightly, the relationship you had with the Alpha. Even when you had been captured and brainwashed into serving Hydra, the two of you had never crossed paths. It had been only after Hydra had fallen, did the two of you actually meet in person. Other than that, nothing. Nada. Nope. No with a capital N.O.
"Come on, let's go." Bucky all but grumbled. Realizing he didn't have the key to get inside, he looked at you. Like you had the key or something.
"James, I don't have the key." Bucky groaned. "Do you have a bobby pin, Omega? Something?" He asked in Russian. You plucked a bobby pin from your hair. A stray piece of hair fell. Putting the flat side in, you managed to unlock the door. You turned to look at him, giving him a toothy grin.
"Learned that from Pit Pocketing for Dummies, 101."
Bucky rolled his eyes at that. You just sniggered as you opened the door, greeted by cool air smacking against your face.
It made you shiver.
Because, unlike Bucky, you did not have any of that good ole supersoldier serum in your veins.
You were a mutant that could control water. Sometimes, you wished that you had the ability to control fire, because then, at least you could be warm in such dire situations such as these.
Taking your shoes off and putting them at the door, you surveyed the place.
It was a small house. Like a cozy little cottage. Probably only had at least two rooms at the max. It certainly gave off that vibe. There was a fireplace in the living room. A fully furnished kitchen, complete with a little wooden table with benches instead of individual chairs near the window.
Your grip on your bag of clothes became tighter as you realized that you needed to take a shower. Your stomach grumbled, alerting Bucky that you were hungry. Your comms had died. The two of you could contact no one until you charged them.
Which meant for at least tonight, or whenever the snowstorm outside stopped, you only had Bucky Barnes for company.
Well. That certainly would be pleasant.
"Go and shower first. I'll make dinner."
***
After your shower, you walked back into the kitchen, your sweet smell that reminded Bucky of deserts that his Ma used to make for him and his younger sisters back in Brooklyn drifted towards his nose. Thanks to the serum, he had already smelled it a mile away.
Cinamon rolls. Apple turnovers. Apple pies. Pumpkin pies. Bucky felt his Alpha rumble at the smell. Even Winter stirred at the familiar scent he loved so much.
When Bucky had gotten the trigger words wiped away from him due to Princess Shuri's genius, the Winter Soldier hadn't gone away from him. Rather, Winter had become a part of Bucky. Winter had been what Bucky became to survive Hydra. Winter was Bucky, only darker. More possessive. The deepest, darkest thing of him that the Wakandan Elders had helped him find again and reconcile with.
It was during times like this, making dinner in the kitchen that reminded him so much of his time back in Wakanda. Taking care of his farm and his pet goats, (that he sadly couldn't bring back with him when coming back to America), that he missed the most. It was domestic, in a way. He could almost feed into the fantasy, the thought that you were his Omega, his Bondmate, and that he was just making dinner for you.
From an outsider's perspective, it might've looked like Bucky didn't like you. That he just tolerated you. Treated you like how he treated everyone else in his life.
But it was the contrary.
He liked you.
He liked you very, very much. Other than Steve, Natalia, and heck, even the winged pigeon- you were one of the only people to truly understand him. You were probably even on the same playing field as Natalia, because you knew what it was like to be controlled by the Russian government. You held him at an arm's length at most, and you never treated him like he was some fragile, broken man. When you treated his wounds, you never fretted like other Omega's. Nor did you dottle. Ask him if he was okay every five seconds. It was disappointing in a way.
Bucky turned his head, just as you hopped yourself onto the counter, away from the conduction stove.
The smell of butter pasta was filling your nose. You watched with rapt attention as Bucky shut off the stove, grabbed the freshly grated cheese, and dumping it in. To hell with calories. Stirring quickly for a few seconds, he stopped. Turning his head to look at you, he gave you a low smirk. His scent of something sandalwood, oceany filling your nose. It made your Omega preen.
"Get some bowls, will ya doll? And forks too." Hopping off of the countertops, he heard a chirping, yet sarcastic reply.
"Yes, Sarge."
He felt his pants tighten at the thought. Hearing you grab all of the stuff, he swallowed.
Not that he would tell you that.
No.
Never.
***
"Oh, you've gotta be fucking with me."
So, as luck would have it. There weren't two bedrooms.
Nope.
There was only one.
Not only that, the entire room was fully furnished. A closet was on the left side of the door, against the wall. There was a window and just a bit to right, in the middle of the room, was a queen-sized bed, all made up with all the fluffiest blankets, comforters, and pillows imaginable.
"And you're sure this is the only room?" Bucky said. "Yeah! It's the only one, James. It's either this or the couch. And I'm not sleeping on the couch. It's too cold. Whoever built this safehouse didn't have any heaters built in either. Fuck, is this how I die? Freezing to death?" Your voice was getting higher with concern.
Bucky just rolled his eyes.
"No, doll. You're not to freeze to death. We're going to share that bed."
You turned your head towards him like he had just grown a second head. "What?" you exclaimed. "No. No, no, no. Noooo. James. Nu-uh. Uh-uh. I'm not going to sleep with you in my tank top and underwear. the least you've seen me in is a pair of short shorts and a tank top."
Bucky inhaled deeply through his nostrils.
Get yourself together Barnes.
Don't throw her over your shoulder.
Don't do that.
"You're a water mutant, doll. You're not a fire mutant. You aren't a supersoldier either. I'm not letting you freeze to death. I'll keep you warm all night. Better yet, don't sleep in your tank top and shorts. Our body heats will do just fine." Bucky snapped at you. You were still trying to collect your thoughts.
And then the realization, the reality of your situation, smacked you right across the face.
Bucky was asking you to sleep naked.
With him.
In the same frigging bed together.
Oh you were going to die. You were going to die and go up to wherever other spirits went to after they died. You weren't really all that religious nor spiritual.
But tonight though?
Yeah. Maybe you believed. Maybe a little.
Just the slightest bit.
"Okay, okay," you grumbled, "I won't wear any clothes. Better yet, I'll even give you a show. That'll even out the odds, James."
***
Warm.
He was just oh so warm.
Your back was flush against his front, feeling skin-on-skin.
You had stopped shivering about an hour ago.
Bucky had scouted the safehouse, to see if there was actually a heater, in case you had missed anything.
Nope.
There were no heaters in the safehouse.
Absolutely none.
Not to mention, all of the blankets weren't as thick. From what Bucky had observed a few hours ago after dinner while you had tackled the task of doing the dishes, was that the safe house had been abandoned for a while. It was either that, or nobody had stocked this place up for a while.
He had chosen the latter.
With his strong arms wrapped around your stomach, he pulled you close. You were asleep. Dead asleep. Bucky felt and saw your body rise up and down as you slept, your breaths all evened out.
It was nice, almost. Outside was quiet. Bucky could hear other than your breathing only the soft wind blowing due to the snowstorm outside.
For a moment, Bucky was lulled into a sense of calm. His mind was clear. His Alpha and Winter were quiet. He didn't have to fret. Or look over his shoulder. Didn't have to second guess himself or his actions anymore.
And then he heard it.
Soft whimpers coming from the sweet-smelling Omega that he was currently holding in his arms. You had begun to squirm, arms thrashing out. Your legs smacked on his knees, trying to desperately claw yourself free from his tightening grip on you.
"... I'll be good... just don't chuck me in the freezer again... please sir... I hate it there... please don't chuck me in the freezer, please..." you were sobbing in your sleep. You started to blubber, continually trying to claw yourself out of Bucky's grip. The metal plates of his Vibrainum arm shifted as his metal fingers tightened around your stomach. Bucky knew not to apply too much pressure on you- you weren't like him, Steve, or Natalia. You didn't have the serum in you.
"Doll? Hey, doll. C'mon, wake up. It's not real." Bucky tried shaking you awake to no avail. You had continued to thrash in his arms.
Sniffling loudly, your Omega was thrashing in her cage, in the confines of your mind. She was whispering, yelling at you to wake up.
"Omega. Wake up."
Bucky didn't mean to use his Tone. But you were being so hysterical, shaking, and crying to the point where it was beginning to worry him. Your sweet scent had begun to twist and turn into something more burnt. Singed. It made his eyes water.
You stopped thrashing in his grip. Your body froze up at his use of his Tone. Your Omega stopped throwing her temper tantrum too. She had paused for a second.
Her Alpha had given her a Command.
So why wouldn't she listen?
Peering from her cage in the confines of your mind, she sighed happily.
Alpha. Alpha cares about us. She whispered in your ear.
Slowly returning to consciousness, you struggled to know where you were for a second.
You had been having a nightmare.
A full-fledged nightmare.
You hadn't had one of those in a while.
"... Where am I?" Your voice was gentle but confused.
You still didn't know if you were still in that godforsaken Hydra facility or not. But you just wanted to make sure.
"Here, doll. You're here with me. We're in Ohio, remember? Sharin' one bed together cause I don't wanna be a bad Alpha and letcha freeze to death." Bucky said.
You couldn't help it. You snuggled into him, hearing a deep rumble coming from his chest. Bucky's Alpha was pleased. Very pleased. Winter was quiet. Which surprised Bucky. The little shit was usually more vocal about his own needs these days.
For a moment, it felt okay. You felt that weird fog lifting. Your brain slowly settling in your current surroundings. Your sweet, filling scent that had twisted and burnt into something smoky and burnt was slowly wearing off.
You were still a little shaken up. You could still hear your screaming echoing in your head. Your voice trembling, and because you didn't know if you were still stuck in the facility, "How long?"
"Not long."
Bucky watched as you lifted your head up, blinking once. And then twice. And then again, just to be sure.
Your body felt like it still wasn't physically here. Your body still felt like it was back in the cryo chamber, stuck in that damn freezer. Bucky watched your chest heave up and down. Taking in deep breaths.
Then you flopped right back into your previous spot, your back facing his front. Bucky pulled you back with his metal arm. You heard the metal plates in his arm readjust and move. You couldn't help it. Your vagina throbbed at the sound. Chewing on your bottom lip, you wiggled a little bit.
A deep rumble had come from Bucky.
The metal-armed Alpha had pushed a little bit of his weight down on you. Making you feel all warm and safe with the sandalwood and salty scent wrapped all around you like a cocoon.
You wiggled up against him again, trying to get comfortable. Your eyes closed.
A deep groan came from Bucky.
Was he asleep?
You stopped moving.
Another groan came from Bucky. His arms were wrapped around you. Not tightly, but still. It was kinda nice in a way. You could feel every muscle on his broad chest against your back.
Maybe Bucky had the right idea to sleep naked after all.
You shifted again. Trying to wiggle out a little out of the embrace.
A deep growl rumbled from Bucky. His grip on you tightened. You squirmed against him again.
Voice gravelly, "Stop moving."
Your eyes flew open.
He was awake.
And you had been-
Letting out a hiss, Bucky pushed his entire weight onto you and grinded his half-hard cock against your ass cheeks. Not even caring about if his entire weight would crush you, because of the serum.
He saw red.
Pure absolute red.
You choked. A needy little whimper filled the room.
Bucky's metal hand traveled down, all the way down to your pussy, his knee pushing your legs apart. You were panting in anticipation, eyes wide as saucers. His metal fingers were shoved deep, all the way to the knuckles. A pitiful whine left your lips. A needy whine too.
When he entered you, a choked sob escaped from your lips. Your hands curled into fists, eyes rolling into the back of your head as the formerly brainwashed assassin let out a growl.
"So sick and tired of you teasin' me," was what the former Winter Soldier growled under his breath, hissing at the way your cunt wrapped around him. Slick was smeared around your inner thighs, and you couldn't help but sob at the feeling of being so full.
Bucky was groaning above you, his hands nearing shaking.
Never had he ever thought he could ever get to do this again.
Because Bucky very much still liked sex. He very much so was a sexual creature. Being inside you gave him flashes of his life before Hydra. It made him remember a much skinner, smaller Steve. A much duller, war-stricken Brooklyn. It made him remember the giggles of Omegas. It made him remember his Ma's cooking growing up. Rebecca's giggles in his ears. Just like the old times.
Not for the first time in his life, he didn't feel trapped.
He felt free.
This was freeing to him.
And when he began to move, position his hips against your back, smacking roughly. Good enough to leave marks in the morning.
Wet, squishing noise echoed noisily every time he bottomed out of you. Every thrust in, filling you, completing you. It sent you gasping and crying out into the pillows. His hands- both metal and flesh, reached under you, to grab ahold of your breasts in a tight grip that only made you sob for more.
"More, more, more, please James, please-"
Something snapped in him.
Broke.
Bucky had never felt this feral before. The last time he felt this feral had been the hours when he first presented.
You whined loudly when he slid out of you, crying out at the empty feeling. Your Omega screeched in alarm.
Why had her Alpha stopped? Why?
Grabbing ahold of your legs, he lifted them up. Before he thrusted back in again, filling you up to the brim. It was deeper than last time, and his cock hit that spongy part. Hit your g-spot so good that you screamed into the pillows.
You were coming. You were coming so fast, that deep coil inside you snapping like a bomb wire being cut that you never got the chance to feel your programs. Your body jolted, spasmed. Your legs lifted off of the bed or at least tried to. Bucky's body weight was still keeping you down. So all you could do was grip the bedsheets when Bucky started to pound into you again, taking all he could.
You couldn't help yourself. You glanced back, just to take a glimpse of him.
James Buchanan Barnes looked downright feral and your pussy clenched around him deeper at the sight. as if she knew.
Every thrust made him go deeper, hitting your cervix every time. It made your second orgasm piggyback off of your first one, sobbing into the pillows. It was only when your second orgasm came, your walls clenching down onto his cock that Bucky's teeth sank into your shoulder, shattering, breaking the skin there. The taste of copper filling his mouth. Bucky let out a grunt as he came. Filling you up with so much of his jizz that he was sure it would drip from you tomorrow morning.
Bucky lifted his mouth from your shoulder.
Pants filled the room as the two of you tried to regain yourselves.
Bucky shifted, moving off of you and lying beside you. His eyes weren't black anymore. They were back to their normal blue. They reminded you of the sea in the morning on a peaceful day.
Your hand came to touch his face. Your hand faltered, trembled though. Because you were nervous.
"It's okay," his voice was deeper, huskier. It made your pussy throb. "You can touch me. It's okay."
Your hands came to touch, cup his jaw. You leaned in, pressing your lips against his. His lips were soft. Your lips moved together, his tongue slipping into your mouth. The kiss became deeper. You hadn't expected it to become deeper. You had been just going for an innocent kiss.
You swore.
Like- you really did.
You didn't expect to be fully making out with James Buchanan Barnes.
But it wasn't like you were complaining though.
Because you weren't.
Bucky was the first one to pull away. He could see how red, bruised your lips looked. He didn't recoil from your gentle touch on his face. He welcomed it. He truly did. Hands holding your hips, he looked at you.
His lips traveled down to your mating gland. He touched over it with his tongue, giving it a broad lick. His teeth sank in, piercing the skin.
Your ears popped. You cried out. His grip on your hips didn't falter.
"Yes, yes, yes," you gasped. Bucky lifted his mouth up from your gland, before sinking his teeth back in and biting again. Making his mark all that deeper.
It was only when he lifted his mouth from your gland, wiped your blood off of him with the blanket did you come at him, sinking your teeth into his gland. It made him grunt, even groan. His flesh hand came to your head, pushing your head down, making you sink your teeth even deeper into his gland.
"Yesss," hissed Bucky, his flesh hand sinking into your hair, gripping it. "Deeper, doll. Go deeper."
Winter and his Alpha completely agreed.
Theirs.
You were theirs.
After what seemed an eternity, you lifted your head up. Wiping your mouth on the blanket, you spoke.
"I missed you. What did you do to get us paired on this mission? I thought I was going with Sam," you said to your Alpha. A smirk stretched over Bucky's lips. "Ah," your Alpha said, still smirking, "I might've put something in his drink to make him vomit his guts out. He got sick."
A noise came from you.
"You gave him food poisoning? James!" You scolded him. Bucky leaned back against the headboard. "Don't worry doll, it'll wear off when we come back to the Compound. Bird Brain won't even know what hit him."
You shook your head in disbelief.
"You're unbelievable, Sasha. Did you teach Natalia that trick, too? Hmm? She and all of your Widow students?"
Bucky was still grinning ear to ear at you when he responded back.
"Well little bird, someone had to teach them. After all, I was their teacher. They all called me Yasha. Speaking of my Widow students..." he trailed off in Russian. You looked at him.
"You've contacted one of the KBG? About that leaked Russian tape with the orange man that is, unfortunately, our President?" He asked you. You nodded. "Yeah, Sasha. Everything's going as planned. Although, I think assassinating the orange man would've been a much better option. We would've gone in there and made it a done deal by now! Fuckin' Steve and his righteous self." You grumbled unhappily.
"Hmm. It would've been great as a date night. Don't you think, doll?" Bucky drawled. You gave a serious nod.
"Although... seeing him freak out on Twitter is much, much better. The tea is better when it's hot." You grinned. Bucky just let out a sigh.
"I'm restricting your phone privileges. And your TV privileges. You need to stop watching those drama channels, Mega."
A noise of deep discomfort came from you.
"Sasha!" you whined, "then what will I do while you're gone on missions?"
"Wait for me to come back?" Bucky suggested. You just sighed. Even shook your head in fondest. You happily snuggled up to your Alpha, your nose rubbing up against your Mate's gland. "I always wait for you to come back, Sasha. I wait and I worry. I love you, James."
A deep rumble came from your Mate.
"I love you too, Little Omega."
Your head peeked up.
"So, can we tell the rest of the team when I leak the tape?" You asked, your eyes glimmering with mischief.
Bucky burst out laughing.
"Yes, yes, yes. We can tell them once you've wreaked havoc, Omega."
"Good." You were nodding seriously, in complete agreement. "It'll be fun. And... also, I forgot to tell you."
The joyful expression on Bucky's face was suddenly replaced with one of worry.
"What? What is it?" He asked gently. "When you were gone for your last mission two months ago... I... I came off of my suppressants. I'm ready, James. I want a family with you."
Shock flickered over Bucky's face. And then he was shoving you back into the bed with a shriek coming from you.
"When's your pre-heat?" He demanded.
You felt it. A cramp. It made you whimper.
"N-Now, James. Now," you stammered. Your Alpha pulled your legs apart roughly before he thrusted back into you, making you gasp.
"Say it," he hissed. "Say you want it. Say you want my knot. Say you want my pups."
"I want it, James." Your voice was a low whisper, even staggering a little bit. "I want your knot. I want your pups. Please. Please, Sasha."
His hands, both metal, and flesh gripped your shoulder tight as that vein of his neck nearly popped. His eyes were black with want. Soon, his Rut would be upon him and he'd breed you. Put his pup in you. You'd carry his pup. He'd have the pack that Winter and his Alpha desperately wanted after all these years.
A whine came from you when he pulled out, only to let out a scream when he thrusted back in. Hitting that part of you that made your eyes roll into the back of your head. Your mouth fell open, but no words came out.
His pace was brutal, not even letting you hold onto him. Your hands were left to grip the bedsheets again. You gripped them so tight that your knuckles turned white and you thought that they were going to pop.
Bucky continued to push, continued to shove his ejaculate deeper and deeper inside of you. A mixture of your slick and his ejaculate smeared all over your thighs and trickled down your legs, and you just didn't know what was happening. Your hindbrain was telling you that this was what was needed. That your designation wanted, nay, demanded this. After all the shit you had gone through, your Omega had found her Alpha and now, now she was determined to have a family. Have the pack she desperately desired.
"Mine."
A harsh thrust made you sob.
"You're mine now. I waited for you for so long. Wanted you for so long. You're mine now. Got my Mark. Got my clothes in your nest. Gonna give you my name. Gonna give you my pups. You're mine. All mine. Say you're mine. Say it!"
You came screaming. Your orgasm making you see white. Bucky continued slamming into you, the wet, squishing noises coming from your pussy becoming louder and louder the more he pushed in. Your teeth sank into his flesh shoulder, shattering and piercing the skin there. You tasted copper in your mouth.
Bucky came with a shout. He shoved you back completely, making you shriek. And then he was leaning in again, sinking his teeth into your gland. Making another deep mark. It made you fall limp into the bed as his knot swelled, locking the two of you in place.
He lifted his head.
Being inside you... knotted inside of you... it was bliss. It was just as good as cockwarming. His cock all nestled deep inside of you whenever you two would sneak off to sleep together.
"Bite me again. Give me your mark, Omega." he panted. Slowly, your head went up, you slowly sat up, before taking in a deep breath and sinking your teeth back into his gland.
Home.
You had brought Bucky home. He held you tight, whispering in your ear how much he loved you and how much of a good Omega you were.
"I love you Omega." His voice was rough.
Lifting your head from his gland. Blood still trickling down the corners of your mouth. You offered him a smile. A genuine one. One that made his stomach all fluttery.
"I love you too, Alpha."
Word Count: 2,500ish
A/N: Eeek!
______
It must have been an hour later when the car stopped moving and Dean opened the door you were sat back against. You would have fallen back but he picked you up, letting you sit down on the ground and stretch your legs out. He shut the door and you scoot back against the tire, looking around and seeing nothing but forest and trees.
“This is not where I commit murders, Y/N,” he said. He came back around from the trunk with a backpack over his shoulders. He cut through the tie on your ankles and hoisted you up by the arm, walking you around the car to reveal a small nice cabin, a lake behind it. “Quite the opposite actually.”
You didn’t exactly put up much of a fight. You were tired and achy and in the middle of nowhere. You just had to play along.
That was until you noticed the other cars.
You looked at Dean as he walked you inside the already lit cabin, a few people in there. You recognized his brother Sam from the charity gala at the hospital a month or so back. Dean dropped the backpack and you tried to leave, Dean picking you up off the ground and carrying you into the living room, setting you down on the ground before taking a seat in the chair behind you. You tried to move but he grabbed the back of your scrubs and kept you in place.
“Are you a fucking idiot?” said Sam. You noticed an older man and woman in the room too over by the kitchen, making some drinks by the look of it. “Like seriously Dean?”
“She’s fucking innocent and potentially morally gray. What’d you want me to do? Throw her in the cremator at work?” You looked behind you wide eyed, Dean squeezing his eyes shut. “I would never and I’ll say this again because I get this is a high stress situation, no one will hurt you.”
“Oh yeah, I bet that calmed her down,” said Sam, rolling his eyes.
“Boys stop that. Dean’s right even if he made a mistake. Innocents are a no go,” she said, sitting down on the couch, a cup of what looked like tea in her hand. “Dean, take that tape off of her.”
“Not until after we talk,” said the man, sitting beside her with a beer in hand. He stared at you before you looked away. “She’s your resident?”
“Yes. Graduates in 3 months. Supposed to join the surgical team.”
“That would work,” said the man. You could feel tears in your eyes. What the hell did that mean? It could work? Were they somehow going to make you have an accident? Make-
“Sammy, swap with us,” said Dean. He stood up, pulling you with him, sitting you down on the other couch. You ducked your face down into your knees and turned away from Dean, his hand on your back gentle. “Can we decide that crap later and just tell her the truth?”
“It was your fuckup so you can explain it all to her, explain what will happen and what she is now a part of,” said the man, giving Dean a strange look. Dean reached around and pulled the fabric down from your mouth.
“Who are you people?” you breathed out without looking back.
“I think you remember my brother Sam. These are my parents, Mary and John. And if you can not freak out, I can cut you loose.”
“Dean-“
“Dad. She’s my responsibility.”
“And she’s a surgeon. Smart cookie. You really haven’t noticed her eyeing all the exits, checking out that knife block in the kitchen? Restraints stay on until we know it’s safe. No exceptions.”
You dared to look at Dean. Maybe this wasn’t actually his idea to take you. Obviously his parents were nuts. Maybe they forced him to. They seemed a bit controlling and maybe they were behind making him do things.
“Dean let me go. Please,” you said.
“Sam can you take Y/N to the bedroom and keep an eye on her. We need to talk with your brother,” said John. Sam got up and pulled you up off the couch, making a face when you tried to pull away.
“Dean, stop him,” you said, Sam picking you right off the ground. “Dean!”
“Sam put her back on the couch.”
“Dean-”
“Now,” said Dean, his voice low. Sam let you put your feet down and he went over to lean against the kitchen counter, blocking the path to the door outside. You sat back down next to Dean, his hands on yours and suddenly your restraints were cut.
“Fuck,” you breathed out, pulling your sore arms in front of you. You saw the pocket knife in Dean’s hand and grabbed it, holding it against his throat and tugging Dean back against you.
“How’s that plan working out for you Dean?” said John, rolling his eyes.
“Shut up,” he said, John on his feet and staring you down.
“Car keys,” you said.
“In my pocket,” said Dean. You pushed him to stand, his arm moving quickly and next thing you were flat on your back on the couch, the knife back in Dean’s hand. “For someone that doesn’t know what the hell they’re doing, you’re not doing too bad.”
You groaned and sat up, keeping your head low. No one did anything aside from sitting back down, Dean shoving the knife away in his far pocket. You leaned forward, Dean gently catching your arm.
“Y/N. Listen,” he said. You sighed, sitting back. “Thank you. Sammy, can you get me the first aid kid? She cut up her wrists pretty good.”
“Just tell her we’re a family of serial killers already,” he said, going to a cabinet and tossing over a small bag to Dean. You stared at every last one of them, eventually settling on Dean while he started to clean your wrists.
“You all...kill people,” you said, Dean shushing you.
“Not all of us do it directly,” said John. “Sam and Mary take a more passive approach. Sam is a lawyer. A murder conviction can get the death verdict with some twisting even if a case hasn’t quite come across his desk like that yet. Mary is more of a...kinder soul. Typically terminally ill patients that want to go. Medication switches, dosages. She doesn’t have to be present and knows it’s the person’s wishes. Dean and I take a more personal approach. I’m more...old school. Dean is afforded certain things the rest of us aren’t because of his job. So yes, we all kill people or at least intend to. It’s what Winchesters have always done. It takes a special woman to be with a Winchester man. But Dean messed up and you found out. Any rationally sane person would have turned him in straight away and the rest of us would be on the run. But you didn’t. So maybe you are that special kind of woman. That is what we have to figure out and until we do, you’re not leaving here. There’s not a damn road for miles around so don’t even think about running.”
“We get it. You’re a big bad serial killer,” said Dean. “Come on Y/N. Let me explain just us. Outside.”
He pulled you through the back door and out to a small deck, sighing when you stared at him. He sat down on the edge of it, you going with him, his hand still wrapped loosely around your bicep.
“So. You’re probably fucking terrified and think we’re all insane,” he said.
“You’re the only one I trust not to hurt me. Maybe Sam,” you said quietly. He dropped his hand, resting both of his in his lap. “Dean let me go. I won’t say anything. I swear.”
“You have to convince my parents of that,” said Dean. “Let’s be honest Y/N. Between you and me, you’re telling on us.”
“Why did you take me?”
“I regret that now,” he said. “I just followed protocol if we get found it and didn’t think twice. I’m sorry. I should have told you the whole dirty truth before.”
“Protocol?”
“Yeah. My dad has protocol’s for certain situations,” he said, shrugging out of his jacket and handing it to you. “You’re barefoot in scrubs. You got to be freezing out here.”
“Dean this isn’t right,” you said, putting on the jacket.
“No one will kill you. We don’t kill innocent people. Family rule. Worst case is we’ll leave you behind here when we leave to give us time to run.”
“Dean your family can’t convince me to not say anything about this.”
“Yes. Unfortunately they can,” he sighed. You cocked your head and he looked away. “You remember your psych courses? Stockholm syndrome?”
“Jesus Dean,” you said, looking over your shoulder inside, his parents talking with Sam in the kitchen. “Please help me run. Please.”
“It works,” he said quietly. You narrowed your eyes, grabbing his chin and making him face you. There was something in the look you didn’t like, his gaze averting yours.
“How do you know it works?” you asked. He pushed your hand off and sighed. “How do you know Dean?”
“I can’t talk about-”
“Dean…are those your parents? Are-”
“I can’t tell you that,” he said. He rubbed his temple and breathed deeply. “They’re my parents. End of story.”
“You’ve done a great job of convincing me.”
“They’re my parents,” he growled. “Shut up.”
You closed your mouth, Dean looking back over his shoulder quickly.
“They’re like parents. They raised me and Sam,” he said after a moment.
“So you have people like parents that raised you, you know all about stockholm syndrome and your dad seems like a fun time. Oh yeah. You clearly weren’t kidnapped as a kid or something. Now it makes sense why you were talking so weird at the hospital. You were lying for them. Tell me the truth, did you actually kill those people or was it somehow your parents? And do they kill innocent people because it sure sounds like-”
“Don’t you dare get them in trouble. You don’t know what will happen if you say a word about this,” he said, voice low. “I was a bad kid. So was Sam. Our parents were strict but raised us right.”
“Dean you do know one of my rotations was in psychology don’t you?”
“...I don’t know what your other rotations were,” he said quietly.
“My second one was in psych. You know I let you go at the hospital because I knew you weren’t evil. You don’t fit the profile. It’s wrong but you don’t enjoy it. It’s almost like a job to you, if you even kill people. But after meeting your parents? Your protocols, how you dropped everything and did as your dad told you? Shit Dean. You and your brother...you have a coping mechanism because those people are not your family. They manipulated you for years and years. You’re smart enough to know that.”
“Of course I know it. Do you know how hard it is to even be this truthful to you? There’s so much I’m not saying because…” He stood up, taking your arm and walking a few feet away from the house, careful to stop when you got close to some pine needles laying on the ground. “But I am too far gone and so is Sam. If my parents tell me to do something Y/N I’m gonna do it. Even if it’s something bad. Even if I don’t want to do it, like taking you. I’m beyond help.”
You stared at him, spotting a barely there shimmer of wetness in his eyes before he blinked it away.
“You don’t like killing people.”
“The man following you was an accident. I hit him too hard. Everything I said about making him suffer was bullshit. But my parents got even more leverage over me when I called them and asked what do I do because that’s what they put in my head and now...I do as told. I look the other way. I know I’m fucked in the head but I can’t let that happen to you. I can’t.”
“Why?”
“I do like you Y/N. For real. No one deserves this kind of a life. My car keys are in my jacket pocket along with a switchblade. If you run for it, you can make it to the car and get out of here.”
“And have your psycho pseudo father on my ass for the rest of my life.”
“No Y/N. It’s not you they’ll go after. It’s me and Sam but I’m okay with that. I don’t know what’ll happen but you have to get out of here. They are good manipulators. And I don’t see another way to get you out. It’s my fault you’re in this mess. Please run. Report all of us.”
“Dean-”
“Y/N go. I don’t trust myself to not do what they say. Please go.”
“Dean you’re not too far gone. If you were, you wouldn’t think twice about my comfort or making sure I’m safe. You are standing up to them. I saw it inside and I see it right now. They don’t own you. You can still fight back against them.”
“I’m too broken Y/N. I will side with them every time. On my own, maybe I’m alright but with them around, it’s too late. Run please. Now.”
“What’s your name?” you asked. “Your real name.”
“Dean and he’s Sam.”
“Your last name Dean.”
“Just...”
“What were your real parent’s names?”
“John and Mary. I think my real name is Winchester but it’s been so long.”
“Do you remember what year you were taken? The city? Anything?”
“It was a road trip. We were somewhere in Texas but we’re from Kansas. Y/N please leave it alone. If you poke at this and my parents find out, Sam and I will pay the price.”
“How’d your parents get you to kill those other people? How?”
“I can’t…,” he said, looking down. “Don’t. Ask.”
“I’m gonna have to punch you in the face so they don’t know you let me go.”
“Y/N. I’ll deal with them. Just run and don’t ever come back,” he said. He grabbed your arm and led you around to the side of the cabin, dropping it when you were out of view. “Go. Now.”
You took a deep breath and ran for the car, keys gripped in your fist. When you jumped inside and turned on the engine you watched the cabin door open, John standing there and Dean pushing him back inside.
You hit the gas and didn’t let up on it the whole way home.
16 + 4 + 2 (werewolf supercorp?)
It is not uncommon for Kara to wake up in a puddle of blood.
At this point she is immune to the shock that comes with it, really. She has adapted; knows all the best tricks to get stains out of her clothes, knows all the best laundromats that don’t ask any questions. Heck, she even has Alex’s ex-girlfriend on speed dial, just in case there is a freak chance the blood Kara wakes up in might be human (it has not happened yet, knock on wood).
But there are other parts that still take some getting used to. Like, for example, the loss of memory that comes with every night of the full moon. Because yeah, she understands why she wakes up in a pool of blood. What she doesn’t understand is why this time around she wakes up in a pool of her own blood, and in so much pain that it hurts to open her eyes.
“Ow,” Kara whispers to herself, twisting onto her side with a groan. Her clothes are gone—no surprise—but even as she is laying down on the cold, rocky forest floor, the only thing she can focus on is how much her head hurts. She’s dealt with branch scratches, sore legs and arms, the occasional plethora of bug bites, but never a headache. Her one comfort is that at least she has made it into the backyard of Sam’s cabin. It takes a considerable amount of strength to push herself up off the ground; walking is going to be much harder than anticipated.
If Alex saw her now, she'd—well first she would hit Kara over the head and yell at her about being dumb, but afterwards she would snicker. And probably hit her over the head again for good measure.
“Oh my God—!”
Okay, it’s official. Kara is now dead. Even if the stranger gawking at her is not the one who kills her, Alex definitely will.
And it’s that thought that makes Kara drop right back down on the floor, knocking the wind right out of her lungs, and she groans into the dirt pitifully.
“Oh, fuck,” the stranger whispers, almost as if to herself, scrambling to come to Kara’s side. “Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck fuck this shit. Fuck!” Said stranger belatedly claps a hand over her mouth, green eyes widening in horror. “Holy shit, are you alive?”
Kara pitifully rests her cheek against the ground and tries not to look too offended. “Uh, kind of,” she replies. (So this must not be Sam’s cabin, then.) “Sorry. Am I in your yard? It is a very nice yard. Five stars.”
“No, it’s not my—I’m house-sitting,” the woman explains, though she is giving Kara a look that says really? That’s what you want to focus on right now?
“Well, it’s still a nice place,” Kara says, because she is polite and small talk is always a good thing to fall back on when you’re naked on a pile of dead leaves. “Wait, I don’t suppose you’re house-sitting for Sam, are you? Sam Arias, super tall, has a daughter who is freakishly good at checkers?”
Stranger-who-swears-like-a-sailor frowns. “How do you know Sam?” she asks suspiciously.
“She dated my sister. It was a whole—it’s a thing,” Kara says. “You know?”
“Wait. Are you Kara? Are you Alex’s sister?”
“Yes! So you do know!” Kara would grin if her face were capable of any emotion besides mind-shattering pain. “Then you must be Sam’s friend…uh, bear with me…Lena? Or Jess?”
“Lena,” says the woman, still notably wary, so Kara makes the decision to wiggle until she can prop herself up her elbows and look less, well, like a corpse.
“Hey, got it in one!” Kara says as cheerfully as she can muster. “Well, it’s nice to meet you. And can I just—uh, say—that you don’t have to worry. I won’t die here or anything. I know you would obviously be the number one suspect for murder and it wouldn’t be nice of me to put you through that.”
“…right. Never mind that you would be dead, or anything.” Lena begins to shakily unbutton her coat like a woman possessed, as if her doubt has morphed entirely into concern now that she has confirmation the freak naked in Sam’s backyard is not an entire stranger. “Here, this is long enough to cover you. Do you—do you need help getting up?”
“No, no, I’ve got it, thank you,” Kara insists, and gradually, she manages; she shifts sideways and then tentatively onto her butt, and accepts the coat when it’s all but thrown at her face. There is blood mixed in with the leaves and general guck beneath her, and she winces at the sight. “I’ll come back and clean this later,” she’s quick to add, and Lena frowns in response.
“Are you serious? Forget cleaning, you need—stitches, at the very least. I can take you to the hospital if—”
“Oh no, you don’t have to do that!” Kara blurts out, and with the adrenaline from that burst of energy she’s able to scramble to her feet. She is shaky, unsteady, but she manages to stay upright at least and she’ll count that as a win. “Shoot. I’m sorry for yelling. I just—no hospitals. I can’t do hospitals.” She has never had to form an excuse for this, and her mouth can’t quite wrap around the right words.
But Lena—green eyes wide and unsure, skin pale in the early morning light—nods, like she understands. “Okay,” she says. “No hospitals.”
“Thanks,” Kara mumbles, wrapping the coat tightly around herself. There are startling black spots in her vision and her head still feels like it was used as a piñata; she wonders what the heck her next move should be now. If Sam needs someone to house-sit, she must be out of the city. And if Sam is out of the city, Kara can’t exactly waltz into Sam’s house to wash all the blood off her body (and then call up Alex from the couch while stealing whatever ice cream Ruby picked). Sam lets her do that, sure, but that’s Sam. It would be pretty rude to do that when Lena is right here.
“Do you…” And Lena pauses, nose scrunching up as if something has just occurred to her. “I can give you a ride somewhere else, if you’d like. Back to your house?”
“No, that’s okay,” Kara hurries to decline, because how can she really explain that she lives in an apartment, and that if little old Mrs. Jensen saw her coming up covered in blood she’d finally succumb to her third heart attack? “Can I just use Sam’s phone to call my sister? Then I’ll come right back out here, I promise.”
“Why would you come back out here again?” Underneath her coat, Lena is wearing plaid pajama pants that are rolled at the ankle (Sam’s, most likely), and a tank top that is extremely fitted. Very, very well fitted. Like, you-can-tell-it’s-frigidly-cold-outside-kind-of-fitted.
Kara coughs and tries not to let on how her train of thought has twisted. “Because…I’m a stranger?” she tries. “I don’t want to make you uncomfortable.”
“Don’t be ridiculous. Remember, if you die I’m going to be the first one they question,” Lena says, tilting her head expectantly in the direction of Sam’s cabin. “Come inside, warm up. Call your sister.” All things considered, she is far more concerned than Kara expected her to be—as if, somehow, ridding herself of the weirdo walking around bloody and probably concussed isn’t the very first thing on Lena’s mind.
So Kara doesn’t look a gift horse in the mouth; she accepts the offer. It’s a small comfort that if she really does get murdered by a total stranger, it won’t be while cold and naked.
Lena goes right into Sam’s room the instant they go inside, already gathering a million outfits for Kara to pick through. “The shower is fickle, but it does have hot water,” she says, adding a towel to the pile in Kara’s arms when she re-emerges. “You just have to—”
“Hit the wall twice, and give it a few seconds,” Kara finishes. “Yeah, Sam reminds me every time.”
“So you…visit Sam often, do you?”
“Uh.” And suddenly, despite the long, cold night she’s had, the air indoors feels a bit warmer than is comfortable. “Only sometimes.” Once a month, Kara thinks, and Lena crosses her arms and just stares.
Really stares, dragging those sharp green eyes up and down Kara’s whole body. Squints at the scratches on her face, scrunches her nose at the way Kara awkwardly shifts from side to side. Finally Lena speaks, and it’s only to say, “It’s you, isn’t it?”
“...come again?”
“It’s you. Sam told me she’s been helping out a friend with a—furry predicament—”
If it were possible to choke on air, Kara would be dead right now. “Did she really call it furry? But she’s also—!” She has to pause, now, because she feels an urge to clarify, “Wait. Are we talking about the same thing right now?”
Lena narrows her eyes slightly. “You mean talking about how you’re a werewolf?”
“Oh!” Head lighter, Kara sucks in a laugh that makes her ribs feel like they are splintering open. “Then yes. That’s good, I didn’t want you to think I was a—anyway. I didn’t think Sam told anyone.”
“Sam and I have been friends for a long time,” Lena says slowly. A beat. “She actually ate my hamster once.”
Kara winces. “Recently?”
“No! Back in the fifth grade,” Lena frowns, like she might’ve added dumbass at the end of the sentence. “I’m a grown woman. I don’t own hamsters.”
“What? Come on, having pets isn’t just a kid thing,” Kara says. “I used to have a cat, but he…”
“Oh my God, you ate him?”
Kara’s jaw drops. “What—no! He turned out to already have an owner, so she took him back. He just liked to wander into my apartment.” She hugs the clothing pile tighter to her chest, and tries her hardest to scowl. “I’m responsible, okay? Most of the time. I’m not dangerous.”
“Except to deer, or rabbits, or whatever else you killed last night?” Lena quirks an eyebrow, but surprisingly not in a manner that’s judge-y. Just…curious.
“Right,” Kara says defeatedly, and her head throbs enough that her grip on Sam’s clothes begins to falter. “Sorry. I wasn't trying to be defensive or anything.”
“That's alright.” And stranger still, Lena reaches out to gently touch the side of Kara’s head. “So does the same thing happen to you?”
“Huh?” The proximity has scrambled Kara’s brain momentarily, and she finds herself unthinkingly holding her breath.
“Do you also black out,” Lena clarifies. “Like Sam does, every time she shifts.”
“Oh. Yeah, I’m pretty sure it’s—a universal wolf thing,” Kara says.
Lena hums, and her hand retracts. “And are you a serial killer in wolf form?”
“Uh, I hope not? I’m pretty sure all this is…” Kara gestures over her body with one hand, still hugging the pile of clothes with the other. “Not human.”
“Okay.” Lena casually walks away, but pauses to throw over her shoulder, “I’ll help you clean up your head once you’re out of the shower. I’ve helped Sam a hundred times.”
“Are you—do you have some kind of healing magic, or—”
“Close. I’m an ER nurse,” Lena says amusedly, and when she smiles a dimple emerges on one cheek. “All the witches I know have fled the city, so I’m afraid you’re stuck with me.”
“You joke, but Alex dated this witch once, and she hexed my sister to spill her first sip of coffee every time she went to take a drink for three weeks straight after they broke up,” Kara says, and Lena again scrunches her nose in that quizzical way.
“Seriously? Witches are real too?”
“Duh,” Kara says lightly. “What, you thought it stopped at werewolves? Please. I’m pretty sure the neighbor two doors down is a gorgon.”
“Well, it would explain her fondness of statues,” Lena says, strangely nonplussed. “I’ve never asked, but I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised at this point. How do you take your coffee?” As she asks, Lena deposits a few fingers of whiskey into a mug, and at Kara’s questioning look says, “Sorry, we’re all out of painkillers. This is as good as you’re going to get.”
“Maybe I’ll do better if it’s straight,” Kara says, unable to hide her grimace, while Lena shrugs a shoulder as if to say it’s your funeral.
So after Kara showers, she sits on the couch and sips gross whiskey out of a chipped mug that reads World’s Best Mom in bright pink letters. Lena has turned on the TV to the local news station—clearly she has stayed with Sam before—and a man on screen is recounting a tale of how he hit a giant wolf strolling too close to his farm with a baseball bat.
“If I had my shotgun I would’ve killed the fucker,” he swears, red in the face, and above her Lena gives a little scoff.
“What a dick,” Lena says, her hand steadily stitching up the wound on Kara’s scalp, and her voice has a hint of an accent; it’s really cute, actually, and Kara doesn’t even mind that the next poke of the needle is sharper than the others.
It is the strangest morning Kara has ever had. Drinking whiskey before eight in the morning, with a kind stranger who she’s barely met but is suturing her skin together, who smells faintly of lavender soap and strong black coffee.
“—National City is not safe when wolves are wandering close to homes—”
The scent of rich hot chocolate bubbling on the stove is beginning to fill the room, the ancient pipes are rumbling throughout the walls, and Lena’s fingers are soft against her head. Kara closes her eyes and decides that she will wait a little longer before she calls Alex to pick her up.
Boyfriend Material
Bucky x reader AU Trope: Mutual Pining (fluff)
--------
You were one of the newer members of the team, yet considered one of the most valuable. At the other end of the spectrum, Bucky personally feels he’s the least. But the fact that you always made it a personal mission to prove him wrong was one of the many reasons he likes you so much. But he knows you are just a really nice person.
Giving him words of affirmation before and after missions in the Quinjet, helping him with clever comebacks towards Sam, and introducing him to modern stuff was no task for you. Not when you are stupid attracted to him.
Maybe it was his eyes, his chivalry, or that you just love men who just know when to keep their mouth shut, but it was obvious to everyone else in the tower that you were crushing on the old guy. Only that you had no clue he feels the same way.
“They’re both world class fighters. There is no freaking way they’re both this stupid.” Sam groaned on the table.
You and Bucky just had left the table after breakfast. Not together of course, but what got Sam all riled up was that all the while, he was seated next to Bucky, and he had to endure minutes of a painfully awkward attempt of Bucky to keep conversing with you, while the rest of the team were trying to mind their own businesses.
Key word: trying. You’ve seen Nat and Wanda pursing their lips trying not to smile, Tony had to let out a cough or two to mask his chuckles, and you even caught Steve trying to discreetly take pics of you two. And you thought this was all directed to you alone.
“We said we wouldn’t meddle.” Nat told everyone at the table.
“Can I at least subtly, SUBTLY, give that old man a few tips on how to talk without sounding like a robot?” Sam insisted, and he was met with a mis of sounds of approval and ‘fine’.
--------
“Hey, tin man, look at this list I found on the internet.” Sam approached Bucky while he was training in the gym.
“Sam if this is another one of those girls and a cup thing, I won’t hesitate to attack you this time.” Bucky glared at him while Sam laughed at the memory. He didn’t really show the guy that awful video, just narrated what had transpired.
“No, it isn’t. It’s a self-help one.” his serious façade was enough to convince the ex-assassin into giving him attention.
“Top 5 pick-up lines that are guaranteed to get the girl.” he read the test out loud before glaring at Sam. “What the hell is this, Wilson?”
“What? I actually tried some last week and now I have a date. I’m just showing you, man”. He feigned innocence.
“Let me read that.” Bucky snatched the phone from his hands.
“There must be something wrong with my eyes, I can’t take them off you. Can you take me to the doctor? Because I just broke my leg falling for you. Are you a parking ticket? Because you’ve got FINE written all over you.” He read one after another, each one getting cheesier and cheesier.
“Did you read the top 1?” Sam snickered.
“Hold on.”
He turned back to Sam who was sheepishly smiling at him. “Is that how people these days actually get dates? Because you guys are not moving forward at all.” He shook his head.
“Whatever man. Lecture me when you get a date.” He replied with a playfully challenging tone and left the super soldier in the middle of the gym with his own thoughts.
--------
It was a lazy day at the tower, and Y/N, Nat, Wanda, and Sam just got back from hanging out at the mall. Sam went out of his way to go to Bucky’s room first.
“What, you can’t even leave me in my room now?” Bucky groaned when he saw who was standing outside his room.
“Be nicer man, I’m just here to give you a new shirt I bought for you.” and he handed over a paper bag.
“Thank you, Sam.” Bucky muttered and gratefully accepted the bag.
“Do us both a favor and try it on to show Nat and Wanda. They kept saying I don’t have taste.”
“So, I’m like your project now?” he knew it was all too good to be true.
“Come on, man. It’s a free expensive shirt. I’ll see you in 15 at the common area.”
--------
He hated to admit it, but the shirt actually is nice. The color somehow made his eyes even more blue.
“Wilson, I’m wearing it!” He called out loudly, walking to the common area, only to stop in his tracks when he saw that you were the only one in there.
“Uh... hey Buck. Sam said he’d be back in 5 minutes.” you smiled sweetly at him.
“Oh. I’m sorry for being so loud.” he scratched the back of his nek awkwardly.
“Here, come take a seat with me first.” you pat at the space next to you on the couch, and he happily obliged.
“So, I heard you just got back.” he started making small talk.
“Yeah, I was able to buy a few new tops.” You smiled at him.
looking at him, you couldn’t help but notice that the shirt he is wearing isn’t something you’ve seen him wear before. You know this because you’ve only seen him in about 8 different shirts.
“Is that a new shirt?” you asked, mindlessly reaching out to touch the material by the sleeve.
His breathe hitched. “Uh yeah, Sam brought it for me.”
“It’s really nice material.”
“Yeah, it’s made out of boyfriend material.” He found himself blurting out. You both froze at what he just said. He had no idea what came over him. But then he suddenly remembered.
It was the top 1 pick-up line from the list Sam showed him yesterday.
And if it weren’t disastrous enough, a loud laugh rumbled out from a few feet away from you. It was Sam howling over in laughter.
Both you and Bucky were deep crimson.
“You like her enough to actually try that pick-up line. Oh my god I’m gonna pee myself!” Sam said in between laughter.
“Not if I get rid of your balls first.” Bucky growled and was about to lunge at him when you snapped out of embarrassment and pulled him back to face you.
“Is it true?” you asked him awkwardly with a small smile.
He was contemplating whether to come clean or lie about, and he found himself whispering ‘oh what the hell.’
“Yeah. I do like you, Doll.” he confessed, looking down at the floor. “I just didn’t want to make it all awkward between us, or have you be the subject of everyone else’s teasing and fuckery because you-”
“I like you too.” you cut him off with a big smile.
“So, will you um... go out with me perhaps tonight?” what you just told him would have eased his nerves, but it somehow made him feel like his heart was gonna burst.
“Only if you wear this very same shirt, Barnes.” you chucked at him.
“You’ve got yourself a deal, Doll.”
Paul's Lullaby | part two
Tumblr media
<previous | next>
It had been a few days since your attack on the beach. Since then, Paul really didn't like when you were home alone. Or walking to work alone. Or anywhere alone really. It didn't have to be with him, but he needed to know he, or someone he trusted could get to you in time.
He was worried that the leech had caught your scent, and would come back. Sam didn't think so, Sam was under the impression that this person was actually testing their lines, and he wouldn't let the same mistake happen again. You were still waiting for Paul to tell you the whole truth, but you were being patient, as he had been with you. It was clear that whatever it was, was hard for him to say.
Your couch was permanently occupied by Paul, who picked you up from work to drive you home. And if he couldn't make it, he'd send one of the pack, or one of the imprints to pick you up and bring you to Emily's house.
You were cautiously optimistic about where things were going with Paul. There was still some trust issues, but you were working on it together. And no matter how much Embry or Jared talked about Paul's anger issues, you didn't really see it.
Currently, you were at Emily's, sitting on the couch and trying to stay awake until Paul got there. He made you feel safe.
"Have you seen this?" Emily asked holding a newspaper. There were missing people all over Seattle. It's what had Paul working overtime. He was pulling more than his fair share, and you knew that had to do with you. But you didn't understand what.
"Is anyone ever going to tell me what's going on?" you asked, but your tone was light, joking. Emily laughed, and sat by your legs on the couch.
"Paul really is taking his time, huh?" She gave you a sad smile. "He's doing that for your benefit."
"I know, I know," you said. "I'm just really confused. I swear the scenarios I'm making up in my head must be worse."
"Probably," she said. You both laughed this time.
"Well he better snap to it."
"I'm heading to bed," Emily said, patting your leg over the thin blanket. "You okay out here?"
"Yeah, thanks Em. Goodnight," you said.
"Goodnight."
Tumblr media
"Wake up honey."
Paul was gently shaking your arm. He was sitting on the edge of the couch, trying to wake you up as nicely as possible. Jared laughed in the background at how soft Paul was around you, but quickly said his goodbyes as he took the night patrol. It takes a tough guy to make fun of someone and then rush out the door. But Paul didn't care.
"Paul?" you asked, finally coming to. "What time is it?"
"Late, it's very late."
"Take me home," you said, holding your arms out to him.
"I like you when you're sleepy, you're very nice." Paul picked you up, and said a quick goodbye to Sam as you closed your eyes again. It made Sam smile.
Paul carried you to his pick up truck, and got you settled into the passenger seat. He even did up your seat belt. You woke up a little more, but your squirming and stretching was the cutest thing to him. He was so enamoured with you. He didn't really care how long it took until you trusted him. Or even if you never wanted to be with him, he didn't care. As long as he got to be around you, he would be fine.
"Let's watch a movie tonight," you said, yawning right after.
"I don't think you'll be able to stay awake," he said, smiling.
"Can we try?"
"How about we watch something tomorrow, after work?"
"Okay," you said, closing your eyes again. "Tomorrow."
You fell back asleep before you got home. Paul was driving slowly, and the cool air was filtering in through his open window. He was listening to some folk band, and the whole thing just lulled you to sleep.
When he parked the truck, he did everything he could to get you into your room without waking you up, and he was pretty successful. But as he was tucking you into bed, you woke up a little. He moved to leave but you grabbed his wrist.
"Goodnight Paul," you said, not letting go of his wrist.
"Goodnight honey," he said, daring to lean down and kiss your forehead. You made a happy sound as you rolled over, getting comfortable in bed.
Paul would've done anything in the world to crawl into bed with you and fall asleep. But he was happy just to be here.
So, Paul went back to the couch. And got as comfortable as he could, and fell asleep, reminding himself that you were safest when he was here. And that he was doing a good job protecting you.
Tumblr media
The next morning went better than most mornings. You woke up in a good mood, and decided to make breakfast for Paul. He'd been working so hard to protect you, that he deserved at least a fraction of that devotion back.
You made the lot, pancakes and eggs. A small fruit salad and a plate of bacon. While the pot of coffee finished, Paul wandered into the kitchen stretching.
"Mmm," he groaned, "something smells good."
"I made you breakfast," you said, a smile on your face.
Paul was in love with you, that much he knew for sure. And today he got his first sign that maybe you were at least starting to fall for him too. It was a good day.
"Eat up," you said. "I have to work in a few hours."
"You're going to eat too, right?" he asked.
"Of course I am," you said, stopping before you left the room. You turned on the radio against the wall. It was some band you'd never heard of, but it was nice enough. Paul was already filling his plate, but you went to pour two coffees. "Cream, sugar?"
"Just black," he said, mouthful of food. "Just come sit."
"All right," you said. "But for the record I wanted the coffee."
You chose the chair beside him, instead of across from him, and he took note of that but didn't say anything. You smiled at him, and he smiled back, like he always did.
Breakfast was relatively quiet, you made small talk about what was going on that day, but mostly you just enjoyed the silence. It didn't feel awkward, it felt right. It felt comfortable. When you were done, Paul wasn't. So you carried your plate to the sink, and rubbed your hand across his back as you passed. His breath hitched slightly, and it made you smile, thinking about how different Paul was.
Maybe it was time you cut him a little slack.
When he finished, Paul helped you clean up. And even shooed you away to get ready for work while he did the dishes.
"Thank you," he said, as you walked back down the hallway. He wiped his hands on a dishcloth and dropped it back on the counter. He leaned back, and you couldn't help but notice how beautiful he is.
"Thank you for being here," you said, suddenly self conscience under his intent stare at you. You pulled your sweater sleeves over your hands, keeping the fabric pinched between your fingers.
"I uh, packed up the rest of the fruit salad. I thought you might like to have it at work." Paul had one of your Tupperware containers sitting on the counter.
"And the bacon?"
He looked guilty. "I ate it."
"It's okay!" you said, laughing at his face. "It was made to be eaten."
He drove you to work, and although you missed to walk, you knew you'd get back to it eventually. When he dropped you off, you hesitated to leave. Paul sat patiently, giving you a moment to collect yourself.
"I want the truth tonight," you said.
"Honey..."
"Just, think about it from my perspective. I have no idea what it is I should be scared of, I have no idea where you work or why you're gone all the time. I'm worried about you, and I'm scared."
"I'm scared too." Paul took a deep breath. "I'm scared that something will happen to you. But mostly I'm scared that if you know the truth you'll be scared of me."
"I wouldn't."
"You don't know that," he said, he looked terrified. "You hated me earlier this month. Couldn't even look at me throughout high school and I am so embarrassed about that. And it's going to be even more embarrassing when I tell you everything because then you'll know that we didn't make eye contact from two years attending the same school."
"I'm sure we made eye contact," you said.
"No." He looked at you, and you could see the pain in his eyes. "We didn't." The look on his face made you hurt. It made your heart deflate, and you would've done anything to see him smile again.
You unclicked your seat belt, but didn't move as it sprang back into place. It didn't feel right to leave the air like this.
The heat he gave off seemed to float right into your space, and there was something about his presence that made you feel more settled than you had in a long time. You wanted to touch him, so you leaned across the middle seat, and placed a tender kiss against his cheek.
"Just think about it," you said, sliding back towards the door and starting to get out. You didn't want to leave him feeling sad, but you had to get to work.
"Have a good shift," he said, watching you leave. He hated watching you walk away.
"You too."
Tumblr media
Work had been horrible. Your boss was kind of a jerk, and waiting tables had really lost it's appeal. You'd been serving tables in La Push's best diner, but when the new owners took over, it quickly began to lose it's charm. You wanted to buy it when they were selling, but coming right out of high school you didn't have that kind of cash.
You just felt kind of miserable, so when you saw Jared and Kim waiting for you outside, you just felt annoyed. You were under the impression you and Paul had made plans.
"Hey," Kim said, smiling from the passenger seat. You got in behind Jared. "Don't worry. Paul said another hour, tops."
"Can you guys just take me home? I had a long day and I just want to relax," you asked, pulling your upper body between Jared and Kim's seats.
"I don't know, Y/N," Jared said, making a worried face. "I don't think Paul would like that."
"C'mon Jared," you said. "I'll lock the doors, and I'll call you if I get nervous."
"Jared, she wants to go home." Kim smiled at you. You really liked her.
He rolled his eyes and started the car. "When he freaks out on me, I'm throwing you both under the bus."
"He won't get mad at us," you said, "he said himself. An hour tops."
Jared and Kim were actually really great travel companions. Kim always made sure you were included in conversation, and Jared was not afraid to sing at the top of his lungs which was hilarious. They really cheered you up.
And of course, they waited until you were in your house to pull away.
Inside, you were tired, and cold. And you had wanted to spend some time with Paul. But he said an hour, and you figured we wouldn't lie about that. It wasn't too late that you couldn't give him some of the patience that he had given you.
So you spent the time bringing out some blankets, and pillows. When that was done you made some popcorn and fresh lemonade.
Paul should've been there any second. So you just spent some time tidying up the place. You saw some fabric poking out from under on the blankets, and you yanked on it, pulling out one of Paul's shirts. You laughed. Because it seemed rare to even see him in a shirt.
You pulled your shirt over your head, and put on his instead. Your shorts were hidden by his baggy shirt, even baggier on your small frame.
Twigs snapped outside the window, and you gasped. You knew you locked the door, but decided on checking the windows too. Just so you could say that you did. They were all locked. When you walked back into the living room, Paul was standing there - jaw clenched tight just like his fists were. But you could see the restraint. You could tell he was actively calming himself. You took a step closer.
"Don't," he said, voice cracking. He closed his eyes, hating the way you stop dead in your tracks. He didn't want to scare you. "I told you that I didn't want you here alone for a reason."
"I was so tired after work," you explained. "I wanted to sit on the couch and watch a movie like normal people do."
"I am trying to make things as normal as possible for you," he said, the anger was already washed away, but it wasn't gone. Not entirely. "You just have to trust me."
"How can I trust you when you don't trust me?" you said, voice starting to raise with unavoidable frustration.
"You think that I don't trust you?"
"I'm not allowed to be by myself, how else would you like me to interpret that?" You felt tears brimming at your eyes, the confrontation bringing out your anxiety.
"If we're going to fight, I need you to take three steps back."
"For what?"
"Your safety."
"What does that mean?" you shouted. "Are you scared you'll hit me?"
"I would never hit you," he shouted back. "How could you even think that?"
"I don't want to argue," you said, quietly. "I'm sorry I shouted."
He saw the sad look in your eyes, and could've kicked himself for driving you to this. He nodded, prying his eyes away from your sad ones to look anywhere else. He looked at your shirt, for the first time, and even though he was angry with you, he loved the sight. It calmed him down knowing it was you, in his shirt, a couple feet away.
He held his hand out, palm up for you to take. You did, and he guided you, as if you were dancing - not fighting, to the couch. You sat beside him, and he kept your hand in his.
"I need you to really listen to me," he said, his eyes glossing over with the realization that if he loses you, he'd never be whole again. "For now, I need you to follow all my rules. Even when they seem excessive, or dumb. And in return I will explain everything. And I won't keep any secrets from you."
"I can do that," you said. "If you're always honest with me, I'll be honest with you."
"Okay, tomorrow I'll explain everything. You're off, right?"
"Yeah," you said, shuffling over so you could lean your head against Paul's shoulder. "Can we watch our movie now?"
He put an arm around you, and you fit to him. Like you were always meant to be there. Well, technically, you were.
"Yeah, honey. We can watch a movie now."
Happy Halloween to everyone who celebrates🎃
----
Bucky had been dating you for about 6 months now and he honestly couldn't be happier. You and him clicked from day one. There were so many things you had in common, except horror movies.
You were absolutely obsessed with horror movies, and Bucky hated them. He however didn't have the heart to tell you that for a lot of reasons.
One of them was that you got so excited when you talked about your favorites, your eyes would sparkle and overall you just glowed whenever you talked about something you were passionate about. Sometimes you would abrubtly shut up since you thought it was weird to like horror movies and he always reassured you that it's okay.
Second reason was that he was insecure; since he was on the chubbier side he didn't have many people hit on him and he didn't even try to flirt as he was scared of rejection. So when you asked him shyly on a date and actually kept talking to him after that first date he was scared that you would leave and find someone better looking.
He didn't lie about anything else though because you hated when people lied and he did too.
Bucky had managed to avoid watching horror movies as much as he could he only watched a few one of them was Circle and it wasn't that scary as there wasn't gore or blood.
His effort of avoiding horror movies had gone down the drain on october 1st. You were always in the mood for horror movies and well october just put you in even bigger mood for them if that was even possible.
Of course you started october with a killer clown, Bucky had sat through IT original movie and the remake, he hated everything about the experience except well your cuddles. Paranormal Activity scared the shit out of him, he really hated jumpscares, as these were rewatches for you they didn't affect you at all.
Somehow he managed to make Sam sit through one of the horror movies and unfortunately he choose the wrong night as the movie for it was Get Out. Sam got so freaked out that you kept apologising for days, he still is freaked out.
Two of your favorite series of movies were saved for last week of october; Saw and Final Destination.
First Saw movie wasn't that bad, he really loved your reaction to the ending of first one,(spoiler) when John stood up from the bathroom floor you clapped and said it was one of your favorite moments in the series- Bucky found it adorable how even on your 10th rewatch you had that reaction.
After finishing Saw franchise it was time for Final Destination which you were watching currently.
You were sitting on the couch, Bucky held you close, your head on his chest,hand over his belly which you occasionally scrached - that is something he recently realized he loved, before he would move your hand away.
Popcorn was eaten long time ago as both of you couldn't control yourselves and stuffed your faces with popcorn until there was no more.
Bucky was honestly done with this movie as soon as it started- the first 20 minutes included an airplane crash which was terrfying; he didn't like flying at all.
The movie was now coming to a one hour mark and he was beyond tense - you on the other hand started quoting the movie and laughed at the cringey 2000s dialogue.
Bucky was just over it when he saw this one guys head just dissapear to put it nicely so he paused it and exaled - this was time for him to tell the truth as he couldn't take it anymore.
"Why did you stop it?" you asked looking up at him.
He almost chickened out seeing the puppy eyes you gave him.
"I'm sorry I just can't do this anymore" Bucky sighed
You looked at him confusion written on you face, probably trying to figure out if he was breaking up with you or if it was something else.
"I hate horror movies." he admited and your face turned from confused to sad immediately.
"You hate horror movies? Since when?" you asked lifting yourself so you could see him properly.
"Since forever,honey. I was just too scared to tell you since I thought you would break up with me - I know how much you like them so I just lied about it. I'm sorry." Bucky said sadly expecting you to say that you don't want to be with him any more but to his surprise you reply with
"Bucky! I would never break up with you over that!!! Oh my god how many horror movies have I made you watch!!?? I am so sorry you had to sit through so many of them!!!"
You stood up and paced around the room rambling how sorry you were and that you never meant to make him feel like he had to watch those movies.
"Sweetheart It's okay please sit down it's my fault for not telling you"
Before you could start again he shut you up by pulling you onto his lap and covering your mouth with his hand. He raised his eyebrow silently asking if you will let him talk and you nodded so he removed his hand.
"Love, I said it's okay. I have to admit I had my eyes closed for half of those you just didn't notice as you were really interested in them." you chuckled at that and released a sigh of relief.
"Bucky nothing would make me want to break up with you I love you - no one ever has treated me as sweetly as you do and I was never with someone this handsome!! Look at you, you are a whole ass meal!! I would be stupid to break up with you over that!!" Bucky couldn't help it when his cheeks turned red from the compliments.
"I love you too. So this isn't a deal breaker for you?"
"Of course not now tell me what do you want ro watch?"
"The hobbit if that's okay with you?" Bucky asked cutely and who were you to say no to his puppy eyes.
He didn't have to know that you payed 0 attention to the movie as you found watching his pretty face more interesting.
~the end~
thank you for reading 🤍
scare you away
pairing: steve rogers x reader
summary: steve rogers has always been someone you looked up to. you always ignored your romantic feelings for him because he was much older than you. when he starts ignoring you, you realize you can’t hide your feelings anymore. (requested by anon)
word count: 1.6k
warnings: significant age gap, swearing
Tumblr media
You walked into the kitchen, still only barely awake. You were greeted by Steve, who was chopping up an apple for breakfast. “Someone’s tired” he said, smirking as he looked over at you. You just leaned into his side, too tired to hold yourself up.
He chuckled and wrapped his arm around your shoulders. You were so small in comparison to the muscular super soldier. You felt the butterflies appear in your stomach, just like they always did when Steve was around.
It was a stupid crush. He was old enough to be your dad even if you ignored the fact that he was technically over a hundred years old. You knew that he probably thought of you as just a kid.
What you didn’t know about was the huge crush Steve had on you. It made him feel horrible and creepy. You were so young and innocent, and he was an old man lusting over you. He was raised in a time where it was taboo to marry someone that was more than five years younger/older than you, but there he was: in love with a nineteen year old.
“Do you want to spar after breakfast?” He suggested, really only desperate for any excuse to see you. You slowly nodded your head. Your sleepiness was visible to the eye, from your half-open eyes to how you were practically moving in slow motion.
Steve couldn’t help but chuckle and point towards the coffee machine. “I made coffee. It might wake you up” he said, amused as he watched your eyes light up.
You quickly walked over to the cabinet and reached for a coffee mug. You struggled to reach, even on your tiptoes. “Here you go, sweetheart” Steve said, easily grabbing it and handing it to you.
Once the coffee had passed your lips, you felt ready for the day. He handed you a bowl of apple slices. “Is this where you give me a lecture about how important breakfast is?” You teased, gladly accepting the bowl.
A small grin slipped onto his lips. To him, you were the human form of perfection. He loved hearing you giggle or watching you get excited. All of your silly jokes managed to put a smile on the old man’s face.
“I still hate that they made me do those dumb high school videos. They just made me seem like an old man” he said. You loved to tease him about those videos. It was a nice little inside joke that the two of you had.
You both ate together in quiet silence. Once you finished, you jumped down off your stool. “I’ll take care of your dishes” Steve volunteered, already taking them from you. You couldn’t help but smile to yourself.
“Thanks. I’ll go get changed and meet you in the training room?” You suggested. He nodded in agreement, giving you a peck on the top of your head. You froze, shocked by the sudden action. He quickly apologized and bashfully looked down at the ground.
You felt the heat radiating off your cheeks as you walked back to your room.
Steve had always been a mentor to you, and you both were normally pretty affectionate. It wasn’t out of the normal for you two to be cuddling and watching a movie on a Friday night. There were sometimes when things would get a bit too affectionate, whether it was a kiss on the forehead or holding hands.
He always left you with a fluttering feeling and a schoolgirl smile on your face.
You grabbed a sports bra and some leggings out of your dresser and got changed. After throwing your hair into a ponytail, you headed down to the training room. You didn’t normally opt for a sports bra, but all of your athletic tank tops were dirty. So, you threw a light jacket over your sports bra.
You saw Steve through the giant glass windows. He was already lifting some weights. You opened the door, and he looked up to meet your eyes. He greeted you with a small smile.
When he turned around to set down his weights, you took the opportunity to admire his back muscles. You set down your workout bag and unzipped your jacket, throwing it on top of your bag.
Steve turned around to face you, and you saw his eyes go wide. You noticed his eyes roll down your body. Then, he forced himself to look up at your face. “I—ummm. I’m sorry” he mumbled over his words.
His cheeks were on fire as his face became bright red. He didn’t know where to look, so he settled for the floor. He was too ashamed to look into your eyes, but couldn’t stare at your body anymore.
“Actually...I can’t—I mean, I have to go,” his words were rushed and frantic. He didn’t even pick up his bag before quickly jogging out of the door. You were left all alone.
You looked back at where he had just stood, feeling nothing but confusion. You didn’t even know what to think. He hadn’t said much of anything before running out the door.
You slung your bag over your shoulder and went back to your room. You set your stuff back on your bed and heard people talking outside your door. You peeked out the door and saw Steve talking to Tony, Nat, Wanda, and Sam, who were all sitting on the couch.
You kept your door only cracked open, so they couldn’t see you. “Oh come on. Just tell her how you feel. It’s better than running around avoiding her” Natasha told him. Steve put his head in his hands. He had no idea what to do.
“She probably knows anyway. You aren’t exactly the most subtle. You two and your little movie nights” Sam said, chuckling. You wondered if Steve liked you and that’s what they were talking about. “You knew about that?” Steve’s cheeks became an even darker shade of red.
You could hear Wanda and Natasha whispering to each other about how cute you both looked when you were cuddling. You could feel your heart racing.
Did Steve really like you?
“Come on, Cap. How do you feel about her? Do you love her?” Tony asked, aiming for a serious answer.
The room was quiet for a moment. You thought they could hear your heart pounding as it rang in your ears. You stepped into the room, so you could hear better. They all saw you, but didn’t make any gesture so Steve wouldn’t know.
“Of course I’m in love in her. I think about her all the time. How could I not? She's the sweetest person I’ve ever met, and I love being around her. I love how she giggles when she tells jokes, and how she gets flustered when anyone compliments her. But at the end of the day, I am so much older than she is. She’d probably think I’m a creepy old man if she knew how I felt. She definitely doesn’t feel the same way, so what the fuck am I supposed to do?” He asked, running his hand through his blonde hair.
You couldn’t form the words to respond.
“Steve?” your voice sounded weak and vulnerable. He spun around and met your eyes. You saw the panic wash through him. “Oh shit” he mumbled to himself.
You could only think of one thing to say. “Is all of that true?” You asked him, still having a hard time believing. He nodded, but hung his head in shame.
“We’ll give you both a minute” Wanda said, before they all exited the room. You walked closer to Steve, but he still couldn’t look you in the eye. “Look at me” you said, softly.
His big blue eyes met yours, and you could see all of his worry. “So do you think I’m creepy yet?” His voice broke. You let your fingers slip through his, interlacing your hands. His eyes darted to your hands.
“I don’t think you’re creepy. I think you’re kind of cute” you said, bashfully. He tilted his head towards the side, confused by your words.
You watched his eyes glance down at your lips. “Can you just kiss me already?” You practically begged him. He chuckled before slipping his arms around your waist. He leaned in and slowly connected your lips.
He hesitantly pressed his lips against yours. Your grinned as you noticed his nervousness. You slid your tongue against his bottom lip, encouraging him.
You wrapped your arms around his neck, toying with the ends of his hair. You both pulled away as you heard whistling. You looked over your shoulder and saw Sam watching you both.
“Come on, let’s go” Steve said, taking your hand and pulling you towards your room.
Sam wolf whistled again at the both of you. “Ignore him” Steve whispered in your ear, before closing the door behind you.
You laid down on your bed and pulled him down with you. “How about we watch a movie?” You suggested, running your fingers through his hair.
He nodded his head before adjusting himself on the bed. He sat with his back against the headboard, and let you sit in between his legs with your back against his chest.
You ran your fingers up and down his legs beside you as you started the movie. He pressed a kiss to your temple.
“So why did you run out of the training room this morning?” You asked, glancing back at him. He chuckled to himself before answering you. “The sight of you in that sports bra. I felt like a creep ogling at you. I knew I couldn’t stop myself. I didn’t want to freak you out” he told you, scratching the back of your neck.
You felt the heat rush to your cheeks. “I wish you would’ve told me that. I was having a hard time not staring you, Mr. Muscles” you teased, leaning into his touch.
"Did you get it yet?" Steve skipped all formalities upon entering Bucky's room.
Bucky's head snapped up from the book he was reading, eyes immediately going to the closing door to make sure nobody was in the hall.
"Well? Did you?" Steve pestered, eager to share in his friends happiness.
"I did." Bucky sighed, knowing there was no keeping this from Steve.
"Let me see it!" There are no words to explain how excited Steve is for his best friend. When he first got Bucky back, a part of him was worried he would never recover from the pain and guilt.
That is, until Bucky met you. It wasn't an instantaneous change, but meeting you definitely affected Bucky.
He was more willing to spend time with the team. He was more likely be found in a common area instead of his own bedroom. Hell, he even smiled more.
Bucky carefully pulled out the drawer of his nightstand, retrieving a dark green velvet box. He opened it, his own eyes taking in the beauty of the ring before he turned it around to show Steve.
"Buck... She's going to love it." Steve smiled, eyes watering slightly. He's always been a romantic. "Have you decided how you're going to ask her?"
Bucky shook his head, quickly returning the box to its place in the drawer. He ran a hand through his hair, a physical manifestation of his nerves.
"I don't know. I have so many ideas, but none of them seem perfect." Bucky chanced a look at Steve, rolling his eyes at his friends exasperated look.
"Bucky. She'll think it's perfect because it's you. Trust me." Steve encouraged him, knowing he needed a bit of reassurance.
"Are you sure?" His recurring self doubt as beginning to peek through.
"Sure about what?" You popped into the room, never one to knock when it came to Bucky. Similarly, he never needed to knock to know he was welcome in your room.
"Just that Bucky deserves to be happy." Steve avoided Bucky's glare as he moved to exit that room.
"Well, that I can agree to!" You plopped down across his lap throwing your arms around his neck. You felt a familiar shiver as he moved his hands, one to your back and the other over your thigh.
"Well, it's a good thing I have you." Bucky pressed a quick kiss to your lips, waving at Steve as he closed the door.
"You make me happy too." You responded in kind, leaning into his embrace.
-
"So?" Steve questioned.
"Not yet." Bucky sighed, still unsure of the perfect way to propose to you.
"Buck. You've had it for 2 weeks! Just ask her!" Steve whisper yelled since the two were in the kitchen. Unfortunately, nosy ears still caught the conversation.
"Ask who, what?" Sam eagerly inserted himself into the conversation.
Bucky and Steve shared a look, only giving Sam a better idea as to what was going on.
"Oh my god. Oh my god! You're going to ask Y/N-"
"Ask me what?" You cut Sam off as you entered the kitchen, heading for the fridge.
"To train with me!" Sam quickly threw out an excuse.
"Okay? We train together all the time..." You looked between the three men confusion evident in the furrow of your brow.
"Well, yeah. But you've never flown before." Sam tried to further explain the lie, earning an excited smile from you and a glare from the two super soldiers.
"Seriously! Sam you swore you'd never let me fly your suit. What changed?" You narrowed your eyes, suspicious of the three men.
"Yeah, well Barnes practically begged me. He wanted to surprise you, but I guess I ruined that. My bad!" He replied, swiftly exiting the kitchen before you could further question him.
"Bucky, that is so sweet! Thank you so much! You know how much I want to fly that suit!" You ran to him, throwing your arms around him in a bear hug.
"Anything for you, doll. Anything for you."
-
"I think he's going to propose." You laid it all out on the line during girl's night. Three margaritas in, and you couldn't keep the thoughts to yourself anymore. It didn't matter how embarrassing it would be if you were wrong. Not when the tequila was doing the talking.
"Oh my god!" Wanda squealed, just as excited as you.
"Wow." Nat smirked, containing her happiness much better.
"I know! I'm just not sure when." You bit your lip, fidgeting a bit.
"Well, what do you know?" Nat asked for details.
"He was talking to Steve about something when I walked in and Steve said he deserves to be happy. Then, this morning Sam was freaking out about a question he was going to ask me. I mean, he covered it with something about letting me fly his suit, but still. I just have a feeling." You couldn't stop the smile from spreading across your face.
"Okay. He's probably just nervous then." Nat replied easily.
"Just drop some subtle hints that you would say yes. Maybe he just needs some reassurance!" Wanda grinned over the glass of her own margarita.
"Okay. Subtle hints. I can do that." You nodded to yourself, thoughts spinning with ways to let Bucky know you would say yes.
-
"I've got it." Bucky rushed into Steve's room, a wide smile on his face.
"You do?" Steve jumped from his desk, excitement overflowing.
Bucky vigorously nodded before explaining his plan.
"Two more weeks?!" Steve was dying for Bucky to just ask you, but if his plan had to wait two more weeks, so be it.
"Yes. It's perfect. She'll be so surprised!" You and Bucky had briefly talked about marriage before, but nothing in detail. Just enough that he knows you want to get married.
"I'm happy for you, bud. You really do deserve this." Steve patted him on the back, as he went through the plan one more time.
-
"Bucky?" You had been looking for him all over the compound before finally checking the living room.
He paused the film, turning all his attention to you. He smiled in greeting, gesturing for you to join him on the couch.
"What do you need?" His brows pinched together in concern, earning a sweet smile from you.
"I just wanted to ask what color you think I should paint my nails!" You showed him the various bottles you were carrying.
"Oh." His pinched brows now showcased his confusion. "Um, okay. Any particular reason why?"
"Not really. I'm thinking of getting a new ring soon, and I want my nails to look good when I take pictures of it!" You tried to sound nonchalant, but your heart was racing. Was this subtle enough?
Bucky's own heart picked up speed at the idea of you finding out before the surprise he had planned.
"Oh, that's nice. I'd go with the yellow. It's happy." He turned his attention back to the movie, trying to cut the conversation short.
"Okay, thank you!" You pressed a kiss to his cheek before leaving the room. Clearly you needed a better plan.
-
"Hi, Doll." Bucky greeted you as he entered the kitchen. "What are you making?"
"Italian Wedding Soup!" You exclaimed, excited to try another hint. "Don't you just love weddings?"
Bucky nearly choked on his water. "Um, yep. Yeah, wedding's are great. I've, uh, got to meet Steve for training! I'll see you later!" he nearly ran out of the room.
"Well, that didn't go well." You muttered to yourself, now angry at the soup.
-
"Bucky, can I ask you something?" He had been practically avoiding you for the last two days, ever since the soup incident.
"Of course." He met your eye, the nervous tone of your voice causing his heart to ache.
"Do you ever think about getting married?" You decided to just bite the bullet and ask him what you've been wondering for the last few days.
"Nope." He panicked. 100% panicked. "I don't believe in marriage."
His nerves caused him to miss the way your shoulders dropped.
"Oh."
"Yep. It's not for me. Just can't picture it." His head was screaming for him to stop talking, but he just kept rambling.
"Well, okay. I was, um, just wondering. Ya know. Wanda was talking about it the other day, so I was curious what you thought." You tried to cover your sadness, at least until you could get out of the room. "I'm actually going to grab lunch with Wanda now, so I'll see you later. Bye!"
You quickly ran out of the room, leaving Bucky to contemplate what the hell just happened.
-
"I was so wrong." You burst into tears the minute you entered Wanda's room.
"Honey! About what?" She pulled you across the room to her bed, wrapping an arm around your shoulder.
"Bucky!" You cried harder as you said his name.
"What about him?" Wanda floundered, unused to seeing you so distraught.
"He doesn't want to propose! He doesn't believe in marriage." Your heart broke even further as you said the words out loud.
"What?!" Wanda's eyes were wide. Her mind went blank at the shock of hearing why you were so upset.
Suddenly the door swung open, Nat entering before quickly closing it again.
"I could hear her crying from down the hall. What happened?" Her own voice was laced with concern as she quickly moved to comfort you from the opposite side of Wanda.
"Bucky doesn't want to marry me!" You cried into your hands. "How could I have been so stupid?"
"Y/N, Bucky is crazy about you." Nat, ever the voice of reason, tried to calm you down.
"I know he loves me, but he doesn't wanna marry me." Your cries were calming down, silent tears streaming down your face as you hiccuped every so often.
"How do you know he doesn't want to marry you?" She questioned further, trying to get to the bottom of this. Nat knew, with 100% certainty, that he was planning to propose. She's seen the ring, even if nobody knows that she's seen it.
"I asked him if he ever thought about getting married..." You took a shaky breath, trying not to sob again. "And he said 'Nope. I don't believe in marriage.'"
Wanda and Nat made eye contact, each expressing their confusion over the words.
"Oh, honey. It's okay. Cry it out." Wanda let you lean into her and cry.
"I just, I feel so stupid." You sighed once more.
Marriage was never something you thought about until you met Bucky. Well, maybe when you were little, but who doesn't?
Ever since you discovered what it meant to be independent, you knew you didn't need to get married to live a fulfilling life. It wasn't something you deemed necessary.
At least, not before Bucky.
There's just something about how much you love him that makes you want to announce it to the world in front of your closest friends and family. You want to share that moment with him, where you express how completely devoted to each other you are.
Finding out Bucky doesn't want the same thing hurt.
"Y/N. You are absolutely not stupid. You love him, it only makes sense that you would think about a wedding." Wanda tried to console you as Nat put the pieces together in her head.
She knew Bucky must have a surprise proposal planned. He must've panicked when you asked him about getting married. Why he would panic that much is unknown to her, but still. That's the only explanation that makes sense. Of course, she couldn't tell you that.
"Bucky's an idiot if he doesn't want to marry you." She settled for blindly supporting your emotions instead.
"It's not me is it?" Your eyes went wide with fear.
"No, of course not!" Nat panicked. "You two are perfect together."
"Not perfect enough for him to want to marry me." You cried into Wanda's shoulder again.
Nat shook her head, silently pleading for Wanda to take over consoling you.
-
"Steve. I fucked up." Bucky couldn't stop replaying the look on your face when he said he doesn't believe in marriage. "And before you say anything about my language, there's no other word for how badly I just fucked up."
Steve eyed his friend with concern. "What did you do?"
"Well, Y/N, she's been hinting at wanting me to propose." He stalled briefly, not really wanting to admit it.
"That's a good thing. It means the two of you are on the same page." Steve tried to reassure him, blissfully unaware of what happened.
"I know. But, she flat out asked me if I ever think about getting married... and I panicked." Bucky refused to look Steve in the eye, opting instead to pace the room.
"Panicked how?" Steve's voice was hard. He always thought of you like a little sister, and if Bucky hurt you he would be livid.
"I told her... I told her I don't believe in marriage." Bucky mumbled under his breath, but Steve could still make out the words with his enhanced hearing.
"YOU DID WHAT?" His eyes went wide, mind stuttering with shock. All he could do was yell. "What the hell is wrong with you? Why on earth would you say that? Y/N must be so heartbroken right now! You know that she wants to marry you, and what do you do? Tell her you don't. You've really outdone yourself with the stupid this time, pal-"
"Steve! I know! I didn't mean it! I just didn't want to ruin the surprise. It's supposed to be this Friday!" Bucky tried defending himself, but he knew it was futile.
"Well, you can still do what you were planning... right?" Steve questioned, unsure if you would agree to the date.
"I hope so." Bucky nervously chewed his lip, trying to come up with a back up plan.
-
You were avoiding him. Everytime he tried to talk to you about going on a date on Friday, you somehow evaded the conversation entirely.
If you weren't on your way to training, you had plans with Nat or Wanda. If it wasn't plans with them, you absolutely had to finish a mission report. You always had an escape route, and it killed him that you felt like you needed to hide from him.
Bucky finally managed to corner you in the gym Thursday morning.
"Y/N!" He nearly screamed from the other side of the gym.
You took a deep breath, trying to ready yourself for the conversation.
"Hi Bucky." You greeted him with a small kiss.
It was time. You needed to talk to him. If he didn't want to get married, that had to be okay with you. You'd rather live your life with him as your boyfriend forever than not have him at all.
He seemed stunned by your greeting, having grown used to you trying to escape the second he entered a room.
"Hi..." He suddenly got quiet, not wanting to spook you.
"Um, what are you doing tomorrow?" He hasn't felt this awkward asking you on a date since the first time he asked you to get dinner with him.
"Nothing, I think." You were feeling just as awkward as Bucky.
"Perfect. I've got a surprise for you." He pulled you into a hug, feeling a sense of calm just from holding you.
"Oh, really?" You would have thought a proposal would be the surprise, but because of your last conversation you're left clueless.
"Yep." Bucky relaxed for the first time in days at the sight of your smile. "I'm taking you to dinner. You deserve it."
You couldn't stop the way your heart fluttered at seeing his cheeky smile. I can live my life like this. You thought to yourself.
"Ooh. Okay, well what should I wear?" You were already thinking over outfit options.
"Whatever you want. Something comfortable though." He was honestly nervous you would say no, so this is more progress than he expected.
"How mysterious. Okay, I've got to go. I'm supposed to meet Nat and Wanda. I love you." You kissed him quickly before leaving the gym.
-
"Ugh. I haven't been this nervous for a date with Bucky since... well since ever! I wasn't even this nervous the first time." You whined to Nat and Wanda. It felt like you had gone through every outfit in your closet and you still haven't found something to wear.
"Y/N, relax." Wanda picked out clothes for you, handing you one of your favorite cute and comfy outfits. "Wear this."
"The two of you love each other. That's all you need to think about right now." Nat reassured you as you changed for the fifteenth time.
"Exactly. Just go enjoy your date." Wanda encouraged you as well.
"What did I do to deserve the two of you." You pulled them into a group hug, laughing when they pushed you out the door.
You were still smiling when you ran into Bucky in the hallway.
"Oh. I was just coming to find you!" You kissed him quickly. "I wasn't sure what time you wanted to leave."
"That's what I was coming to find you for. I'm ready when you are, doll."
"Well, then. Let's go." You grinned when Bucky took your hand, leading you out of the compound and down to the lake.
He brought you right up to a picnic blanket that was already setup on the dock.
"I thought we could picnic tonight." He looked at you with a shy expression.
"Bucky, that's perfect. There's actually supposed to be a-"
"A meteor shower tonight." He finished for you. "That's actually why I planned a picnic."
The feelings of doubt and heartache that had been plaguing your mind for the last few days all but vanished in the blink of an eye.
"I love you so much." You leaned into his touch, sitting next to him while he pulled food from the picnic basket.
"I love you too." He pressed a soft kiss to your forehead, handing you various foods.
The two of you fell back into natural conversation throughout the night. Any lingering nervousness left you, although Bucky kept fidgeting throughout the night.
It wasn't until after dessert that anything out of the ordinary happened.
"The meteor shower is supposed to start in a few minutes, do you want to go sit at the end of the dock?" Bucky stood, his hand out for you to grab.
You pulled yourself up, not letting go of Bucky's hand as you walked the short distance to the end of the pier. Just as you took the last step, you could see a few meteors shoot across the sky.
"It's beautiful." you gazed up at the stars, missing the deep breath Bucky took before sinking to one knee.
"Y/N, I think I fell in love with you the moment I met you. I didn't know it at the time, but I felt it. Every minute I've spent with you since then has been a gift."
The expression on your face could only be described as a mixture of shock, awe, love, and annoyance.
"When I was young, I used to think about who I would marry. I never thought of someone as incredible as you. After everything that happened, I didn't think I'd ever be worthy of someone's love. I still don't know how I convinced you to fall in love with me, but I'm grateful everyday that you did. There is nothing that would make me happier than spending the rest of my life as your husband."
He took a deep breath, looking right into your eyes as he asked the question.
"Will you marry me?"
"I- Yes. Of course I will marry you." You didn't even realize you were crying until Bucky wiped a tear from your cheek.
"I love you so much." He whispered as he slipped the ring on your finger.
"I love you too." You kissed him as soon as he stood up. Immediately stepping back to hit him.
"What was that for?" He looked affronted.
"'I don't believe in marriage.'" You mocked the deep timber of his voice.
Bucky laughed, pulling you closer to him. "I'm sorry." He pressed your foreheads together. "I really panicked when I thought you were going to ruin the surprise."
"You're such an idiot." You laughed. The two of you were all smiles as you held each other.
"Trust me, Steve let me know just how much of an idiot I am." Bucky shook his head. "He'll just be glad I've finally done it."
"Finally? How long have you had the ring?" You smiled as you glanced between your left hand and Bucky's face.
"A month. Not too long really. I think he was more annoyed with how long it took me to get the ring." He smiled, looking into your eyes.
"We've only been dating for 2 years. I wouldn't say that's abnormally long." Your brows furrowed.
"That is correct..."
"But?" You encouraged.
"But I told him I wanted to marry you the second we finished our first date."
word count: 2.5k
warnings: um just implied smut and fluff and a reference to bdsm I guess?? but it's pretty chill overall
flowercrowny/n oh my god this is so sweet i’m gonna cry
1 HOUR AGO
He smiled as he stared down at the post you’d made, remembering how much effort you’d put into finding the perfect picture (in your opinion; he thought he looked kinda dopey in it) as well as writing and re-writing your caption.
The speed at which your post gained likes and comments was inconceivable to him; even more impressive was the speed at which gossip rags were picking up the story.  Sure enough, his phone’s alerts to new headlines about you were not only going off like crazy, but had started to include news about himself as well.
Y/N Y/L/N Shocks With Romantic Instagram Post, Confirms Dating Rumors
You’ll Never Guess Which Hollywood Starlet Is Dating Her Driver
Who is James Barnes?  Everything We Know About Y/N Y/L/N’s New Beau
Skimming one of the articles, he was impressed at how much information they’d managed to get without actually getting anything from you or him.  Born in Brooklyn, disabled Army veteran, worked a list of odd jobs before becoming your driver and bodyguard.  ‘No social media presence, prefers to keep a low profile’ one of them said; you can say that again, Bucky chuckled to himself when he read it.
He found another from People and didn’t particularly appreciate that it spent half the time going through all your past exes and rumored partners (turned out ‘rumored’ is a fancy word for ‘a bunch of fans deluded themselves so hard that it somehow turned into news without any proof necessary’).  But he still smiled when he got to the part that was actually about you and him.
‘The relationship is pretty new but they’re so happy together,’  a source close to the couple reported.
Close indeed; that statement came from your publicist, who he’d never even meet.
‘He’s a very private guy and she’s got this huge following, so they’re sort of an odd couple in that way, but she knows her fans are respectful and will let them have their own life outside of the spotlight.’
Bucky wasn’t sure that the respectfulness of fans was such a given here, but he hoped you were right.  To be fair, they’d been very sweet on your original post insofar.
However, when he scrolled to the bottom of the celebrity magazine articles and realized they had their own comments section, he discovered that they were a little less forgiving than the ones on your Instagram.
Is this the best she thinks she can do?  So sad tbh :(
a military guy…. yikes, she could get any guy she wants and she goes for a murderer.
He looks like a hobo that found a coupon for a free haircut lol
I don’t buy it, I know she’ll always love Pietro!
Pietro being your former co-star that so many of your fans were convinced was actually your soulmate.  From what he’d heard from you, those speculations had made things so uncomfortable between the two of you that it killed your friendship.  Those were nothing, though, compared to the comments about someone you actually had dated.
she’s obviously not over sam… they were so good together
He’d better watch out for her ex, he still likes tweets about her and they have so much chemistry
Wait, she’s not still with Sam Wilson??  I could’ve sworn they’d been dating for, like, five years.
You were scrolling through your phone with a smile as you walked past where he was sitting on the couch, and he just couldn’t help himself from asking even though he knew it wasn’t the best idea.  “Do I need to worry about this Sam thing?” he blurted out, trying to play it cool and not sound too anxious.  “People are really obsessed with you two…”
“Sam and I…” you sighed, staring off into space for a second.  He made himself anxious imagining what you were thinking about in that moment.  “I haven’t talked to him in… years?  I think it’s just because our relationship was so public that people are still talking about it.  And it had a lot of gossip material— we did a movie together, people thought it was sweet that we got together during production, it was great promotion for the picture… and from the outside, we made a lot of sense for each other.  But he has his own problems.  I loved him, but… he wasn’t ever going to be a one-girl kinda guy.”
“But you’re not just any one girl.  You’re… you know, you,” he emphasized.
“You’ve been reading too many headlines,” you shook your head as you sat down beside him.  “Please don’t turn into one of those guys who thinks of me as a celebrity first.  Before that—” you pointed to your own name where it was bolded on his screen in the trending topics page of Twitter— “was popping up on movie posters and in gossip magazines, it was just my name.  And I’m not perfect.  Not even close.”
Bucky sighed and wrapped his arms around you, pulling you into him and holding you tightly.  “And before I knew you were famous, or rich, or incredibly talented, I was totally obsessed with you just for who you are.”
“You’re too fucking amazing,” you sighed as you held his face and gave him a gentle kiss— the kind of kiss that instantly melted his heart and banished his worries.  When you pulled back and looked up at him with a smile, it was like everything else just… faded away.  “Don’t read the comments, okay?  None of them matter.”
He smiled and brushed his thumb over your cheek, overwhelmed by not only the softness of your skin but of your spirit as well.  In all his life he’d never been handled so… gently, with so much care.  “You’re the best thing that ever happened to me,” he mumbled, not even really realizing he’d said it aloud until you gave him a beaming smile.
“I can’t believe you’re my boyfriend,” you giggled pridefully.
“Seriously?  I can… very easily believe it,” he scoffed.
“I just mean… you’re so…” you searched for the words.  “You’re actually good to me, that’s the thing.  I’m not used to that.”
“You deserve the world,” he assured.  “I’m just gonna keep trying to give you as much of it as I can find.”
He watched his hand trail over your face, down your neck and to your chest where he played with the hem of your t-shirt.
"It's odd to know there are millions of people who are jealous of me,” he admitted quietly, remembering some aggressive comments from some very angry dudes who had apparently also watched your nude scene a few too many times.
"Do you like it?  Do you like how it feels to know you're making them angry every time you touch me?"
"Couldn't care less," he refuted.  "Nobody else matters when I'm touchin' you."
“Do you maybe wanna… touch me a little more about it?” you smirked, opening your legs slightly in invitation.
“Always.”
//
Bucky had, thankfully, not let the newfound fame get to his head.  In fact, he had demanded that the two of you hunker down in the house, since he feared that going out would lead to being recognized.  What he apparently hadn’t anticipated was that that might not be enough.
“Will you get that?” you requested when the gate buzzed, too wrapped up in the book you were reading to answer the intercom.
He hopped up and held down the button to communicate with the gate speaker.  “Who is it?” he asked.
“I’ve got a delivery from Anjappar Chettinad on 23rd?”
Bucky didn’t even reply before hitting the green button and granting access to the driveway.  BEEP BEEP BEEP! you heard the gate signal its opening, and the car pulling around up to the door.  Bucky didn’t open it until there was a knock, greeting the delivery guy with a smile and the necessary cash.
“I’ve got a lamb korma, hyderabadi mutton dum biryani and an order of— woah,” the man suddenly stopped, staring at Bucky’s face.  “Are you—?’
“Hungry?  Yes,” he frowned.
“You’re the guy dating— holy shit, congrats man,” he beamed, smacking Bucky on the shoulder pridefully before leaning in with a mischievous smirk.  “Say, is she a freak or what?”
“She is,” you piped up from the couch, making both men turn their heads; but one was chuckling while the other looked mortified.  “You better not have forgotten my paneer pakora or I’m gonna chain you up and whip you.”
“Uh, I— no, I got it right here,” he promised weakly, handing the bag over to Bucky and starting to dash away before Bucky grabbed his arm, making the smaller man whimper fearfully.
“You forgot the money,” Bucky reminded him gruffly, stuffing the bills into the driver’s front pocket.
Finally, he let go, and the delivery man instantly pulled away, rubbing his arm and looking a bit like a kicked puppy as he went back to his car and drove away.
“You didn’t need to scare him that bad,” Bucky chuckled.
“I could say the same to you!  Grabbing somebody with the metal arm like that will put the fear of God into them pretty fast.”
“I didn’t mean to grab him that hard,” he admitted, examining the prosthetic hand as he came back to the couch with the bag of food, handing it to you while he focused on watching his motorized fingers curl and uncurl.  “I think I need to get this thing recalibrated… it’s been bugging out lately.”
“I dunno, it was working just fine last night,” you smiled, remembering how delightfully cool those fingers felt inside you.
Bucky seemed to miss it entirely, though, as he stared off into space.  “I can’t believe I got… recognized.”
“You’re a star,” you winked.  “And not just with random delivery drivers.  I’ve had a lot of press requests, everybody wants to be the first one to get nice pictures of us together— we’ve had a dozen event invites as a couple.”
“Seriously?!” he scoffed, snapping back to reality slightly enough
“Yeah, and look what came in same-day mail this morning!”  You leaned over to shuffle through the mail on the side table before finding and handing him a letter in a gold-embossed envelope, watching him read what you knew was inside.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association extends an invitation to Y/N Y/L/N and James Barnes to the annual Grant Banquet in support of the Young Artists Fund.
“It seems like a good first event for us,” you explained.  “Relatively small and low stakes, it’s for a good cause…”
“Are you sure I’m ready to be, you know… seen?  By people?”
You scoffed, hardly believing how insecure he could be sometimes.  “You look great, if that’s what you’re asking.”
“Will I have to talk to anybody other than you?” he asked, grimacing as if that were a form of brutal torture.
“Probably,” you admitted.
His frown deepened.  “What if I say the wrong thing?”
“I’m not that worried about you,” you smirked.  “You’re a lot better at this stuff than you think you are.”
“I don’t have anything to wear…”
You smirked, a little too proud of yourself, when you remembered the email your publicist had forwarded to you just this morning.  “Hugo Boss will pay you $1500 to wear one of their suits on the carpet.”
“They’ll pay me to wear free clothes?” he repeated with wide eyes.
“Yeah, that’s one of the cooler things about fame,” you laughed.  “I make a grand every time I wear this watch outside!”
“I guess I should send them my measurements then…” he trailed off.  “Any chance I can get in on that watch deal?”
“No, but you can make $50 by getting papped at Jamba Juice.”
He paused for a moment, scratching the back of his neck as he thought.  “Is the smoothie comped?”
“I don’t know.  Do you want me to ask?”
“...kinda…” he admitted with a shy smile.
“Well, I will, and I’ll RSVP to this invite saying we’ll be there next week,” you decided as you started to open up the food, but Bucky stopped you by reaching for your hands.
“Are we really doing this?” he asked.
“If you want to,” you mitigated.
“Of course I do.  I guess I have to accept that you’re actually willing to be seen with me,” he chuckled.  “It’s just sort of hard to believe.”
You leaned in and kissed him; it was meant to be a casual, reassuring peck but he held you closer and you melted into him, moaning softly at his touch as you started to climb into his lap.
“The food’s gonna get cold,” he reminded you with a mumble against your lips.
Unfortunately, your literal hunger was a bit too strong to ignore, even with the growing intensity of a metaphorical hunger for Bucky.  “Alright,” you relented, getting off of him and returning your attention to the meal on the table.  “Just know that I really, really want to be seen together, in public, just in case anybody missed the news about us already.  I’m not embarrassed by you or afraid you’re going to do something dumb.  I…”
One of those words that can’t be unsaid started to bubble up in your throat and you coughed, banishing the thought.
“I really like you.  I think we have something special.”
He smiled gently, giving you one more kiss on the cheek.  “I think so, too.”
//
Since this was slightly less of a big deal than a premiere or press tour, you had managed to convince your styling team to let you dress yourself, which was why he was laying on the bed and talking to you through the bathroom door while you put on your gown.
“Do you want me to hire a new driver?” you prompted him, voice muffled slightly as he imagined your head covered in the fabric, trying to navigate through the dress.  “I don’t want you to feel… I don’t know, like a servant?”
“A servant?  You’re still paying me,” he reminded you.  “You are still paying me, right?”
“Yes,” you laughed, “but still, I would hate it if you felt like staff.  You’re my boyfriend!”
(His heart still fluttered every time you said it.)
“No new driver,” he decided.  “I can drive just fine, and considering how things went between us… let’s not open the door for anybody else,” he smirked, making you laugh in that way you did when he made a stupid joke but you still liked it somehow.
“Okay, sure, but what about being my bodyguard?  Is that too weird?” you continued.
“God no,” he scoffed, “if anything I’m gonna be better at my job than ever.  As your boyfriend, keeping you safe is my job, but since keeping you safe was already my job… it’s, like, doubled-up now.”
He lost his train of thought when you opened the door.
“How do I look?” you asked as you stepped in and gave him a spin in your new dress.  Your whole body was draped in red silk, with the exception of your back which was almost entirely exposed, as if it were begging him to run his fingers down your spine.
“Like everything I ever wanted,” he blurted out before he could stop himself.
And it was so odd that you questioned his desire to drive you, because those moments where he could steer with one hand and rest the other on your thigh, when he could catch a glimpse of you looking out the window at the city rolling by, when he got to listen to you ramble about something to kill the time during a drive; those were his favorite moments, and he wouldn’t trade them for anything.
After a relatively brief trip, you arrived at the venue, and all of a sudden he was doing what he’d fantasized about more than he’d like to admit: escorting you down a red carpet.  It was almost overwhelming— yelling, chattering, reporters speaking into camera, flashes going off in every direction—
“Hey,” you whispered, bringing your hand up to his cheek and instantly taking all his attention.
“Hey,” he returned.
“Just follow my lead,” you instructed.
“That was the plan.”
