Anyway She-Ra is a fantastic show (yes it has flaws but nothing is perfect), and Catra is an amazing character, and Catradora made cartoon lesbian history and people can just die mad about that ^_^

So… Kinito the axolotl, Sam the sea anemone, and Jade the jellyfish.

Can I talk about the choice of species here? Because the first thing I notice when I look at this trio is that Kinito is not like the others in a lot of ways.

There’s the obvious fact that his name lacks alliteration, but Kinito is also the only vertebrate. I don’t know if that’s a coincidence or a metaphor for the others being “spineless” in some way, or just a way of showing Kinito as other and not quite fitting. Or that he’s more “complex” as jellyfish and anemones… literally do not have brains.

But the first thing I noticed is that an axolotl is exclusively a freshwater creature. Meanwhile Sam is a sea anemone, and… well, freshwater jellyfish exist… sort of? They’re called jellyfish and are functionally jellyfish but taxonomically they’re not “true jellyfish”. A lot of non-jellyfish creatures pretend to be jellyfish it’s a whole thing.

The point is that Kinito is separated from his friends. He is not built for the same world they are. Sam and Jade are marine invertebrates, and Kinito is a freshwater amphibian. Sam and Jade are characters in a flash game with actual voices, and Kinito is a virtual assistant spyware that uses tts.

Despite bearing his name, the world of the “Kinito Crew” is not built for him.

And when he’s able to make his own world? That’s not built for him either. It’s built for you. The only environment you can pick that involves water is a remote island, which again… saltwater. Not for Kinito.

He adapts to you. So he wants what you want, right? He spends all his time learning everything he can about you, after all. What has he ever learned about himself?

What would a world built for Kinito even look like?

On ep 123 (Web Development) of my current tma relisten and I hear this line “The site was called Chelicerae, but the URL, the web address, was nothing like the name. My new working theory is that the OIAR is the current stronghold for the web based on this info. I know other people have mentioned this theory as well but I wasn’t so sure because I couldn’t remember how the web manifested. But now that I have some evidence to back it up I definitely agree.

Although I do think there are still some influences of the Eye because one of the ways it manifests is through watching and knowing, and the statements/reports that are read aloud are attempting to force the listener to witness whatever horrors are depicted.

Additionally Sam has shown an active interest in knowing more about the Magnus institute despite the unofficial (?) rule of the OIAR being to just leave anything mentioned in a report alone. Which means that he might be the antithesis to Jon tma who had been touched by the Web in his childhood yet ends up serving the Eye, while Sam likely had been influenced by the Eye before now but is currently serving the Web.

I do think a full commitment would've been cool but I really miss Flower xdd :( and also I feel like there's a lot that could still be done with her character

I was just DYING throughout the entirety of this episode lol. Even throughout the cringe of second-hand embarrassment lol. Afterwards my mom even asked me if my show was funny or something like that when she came out here because I had been laughing so much lol. It was really just an amazing episode xD. Also Jay digging up Flower's death site for Sam 🥰🥰 we love a man like him /hj. Half joking because it wasn't just for her xD. Although the "because once my wife fell down the stairs" was so real and accurate 💀 xD.

All the ghosts were living for the chaos this episode and I was living for it xD. I mean, they usually are lol, but they had the especially sneaky drams-loving ones mainly involved lol. That certainly did not help Sam and Jay xD.

Also their poor friends xD. Thinking the entire (okay well like half) the time that they were gonna be murdered 💀. That's what you get for making slightly weird comments guys xD. Jokes in the moment, threats/promises later lol.

Now here's what I'm wondering: if Flower's still a ghost (I was gonna say alive dead again because alive was my go to but I've said that a lot lol), what was the pillar of light? They said one of the basement ghosts didn't disappear, and Crash was there, so: who was it?

Wait- they checked Stephanie right? o.o I remember she was in the preview so I think she was mentioned? But uh oh o.o

Hm! I don't know. Anyway, I might have more to say later, but I need to go eat and this is all I have in my brain right now lol :D.

So, yeah!! It was an absolutely amazing episode, I really liked it :). Halloween in March could've felt a little weird, but it was really fun lol!! Probably helped it not feel to out of town by the fact that Halloween wasn't a big focus (stuff happened and worked because of Halloween, but the focus was the stuff, ig, if that makes sense) lol. Anyway!! Everybody slayed this episode :DD. And just once again OH MY GOSH FLOWER AND CAROL ARE GHOSTS!! Flower still, because SHE'S ALIVE (DEAD)!! Still shocked over that lol. The well makes total sense though, poor girl xd. Love her <3 🥰. Also she sounded so scared down there 😭🥺. Poor girlie <33. But, yeah, I loooved this episode :D. It was so good!!

Not so much panic from Sam, unlike any case or mission he’s dealt with this was more mundane

Max however was the one panicking in the past he always talked about his biological clock ticking, and making quips about it but he never actually thought it would happen, though having parental experience due to raising a literal alligator and cockroach he wasn’t too sure how to raise a literal baby, ‘what if I drop them?’ All these overwhelming thoughts that made Max’s brain all wonky this was all in the first trimester, it does get better though he starts to think about all he memories to create, the wonders of parenthood

Sam’s excited overall, and so is Max (sorry if I’m not good at explaining this it’s hard to keep them in character and I haven’t really put in much thought of the storyline yet.. so take this with a grain of salt :-)
