Anyway, yes I’m having feelings, no I don’t really remember them, and yes this will have less emojis than it would have given that I’m on the computer and not my phone so this goes faster xDD.

Also I was gonna say (finally remembered it lol) at the time, well I did say out loud, after laughing: ANDREA NOOO HE’S DYING YOU CAN’T DO THAT XDD

But technically it was for when he recovered lol, not while he was still dying, so we’re good XD. Especially because she’s being protective and I just love that in people and characters, especially (especially) because she’s been protective over CARLOS cause just CARLOS, and also especially (especially [especially]) because it’s funny xDD.

Alright, so, overall: I. ABSOLUTELY. A D O R E D. THIS EPISODE. :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Now, it may just be because of the Tarlos and Grace (and Judd, obviously), but this is probably my favorite episode this Season so far :)).

Seriously though, I am living my best life. If I had the energy, I might even write a Tarlos talking fic myself. Now, I don’t, not right now, nor the time, which is why I apologize if this is a shorter review than other episodes, which it probably will be - it’s been an hour and a half since the show ended, I can’t use emojis as easily so I get a little less distracted lol, and I’m just less sucked/zeroed in to my phone since like, idk, I’m just more in the environment, and like, aware xDD. Another reason for a shorter review is that I got my covid vaccine booster today, and, as the wonderful words of the amazingly wise mas said/state, that booster sure can covid. In short, I’m gradually feeling worse and worse, so, uh xdd. This is distracting me a little though, so let’s continue on with it :). Lol, maybe it won’t be a shorter review, but certainly less about the episode xD. Maybe not, idk yet, lol.

And also like I said I’m not freaking out as much anymore LOL XD. Well, I mean because of the whole, it ended 90+ minutes ago (100 actually - well, 99 technicallyyyyyy. . . Okay I’m waiting for it to hit 100 but it might actually be a minute lol because I was looking at the clock and it was at like 40 seconds so- ope no the computer switched like half a minute ago as I was typing this lol I just wanted to finish typing, lol ANYWAY, 100 xDD), but, anyway lol.

Okay, so, first off, Grace and Judd (and Billy, obviously).

THEY ARE SO CUTE 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭. Like literally I love them soo much 😭😭😭 xDD. Seriously though, we’ve once again revisited (grammar haha) the fact that Grace tries to do everything on her own. Well, maybe not everything, for example, she’s not trying to have this baby on her own lol (well, the actual birth sure, but xdd). I know that in Season 2 it talked about this in relation to the standards black women and other women of color are held to in today’s society, and I do think that’s very important to talk about, but I think I’ll let a few more of you talk about it more in-depth instead, seeing as I’m white xdd. I do get the pressure to want to do things on your own, though - I think that’s something a lot of people can relate to, no matter what their situation is. But, nonetheless, I thought the scenes of her and Judd were really cute, and I’m just glad they’re all okay :)). And I am so, So, SO, SOOO HAPPY THAT JUDD MADE IT FOR THE BIRTH :DDDDDDD 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 :D :D :D :D :D. It just- yes, it was wonderful.

Now. Owen. You know what I’m gonna say, methinks.

Like, sure, I liked your sadness about TK (my BOYYYYYYYY 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭), and I did like your comparison, just bc I know you were actually sad and really, really very scared, specifically for him and yourself, but nonetheless, it’s s t i l l n o t a l l a b o u t y o u. But I will let it slide this time, as it’s all in juxtaposition to TK.

And oh my gosh his hug to Carlos 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭. I thought I would literally lose my mind xddd XDDDD 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭. And just- one more tear from Carlos, everyone being there, the comfort of that hug, Owen just finally seeing the pain of someone around him and CARING and helping him through it, I just- I can’t 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 xDD. I love them so, so much. Well, mostly Carlos, and TK if we’re including him here, but Owen’s aight. Lol, anyway, also Marjan having to find out 😭😭😭😭? Literally killed me. I mean, it really would have if we would’ve had to SEE it, but luckily we didn’t. Still kinda wish we did though xDD. And of course her being surprised about Paul - glad they assuaged her fears rather quickly, because she was still calm in that moment, I feel like - or at least in control of her emotions. Anyway, glad that we finally got to see the rest of them there with TK 🥰🥰🥰🥰. Or at least some of them anyway.

OKAY! So, as y’all well know if you follow me or follow what I’m doing here, like my posts, you know I LOVE Tarlos. I mean, I think most of us do xDD. And like- this episode 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭. Literally I can’t deal. I was stimming. SO. HARD. It’s been a long time since I’ve stimmed like that and- yeah, it was nice :). I REALLY wish I had the energy to say more about them right now. . . I’ll do a little more, but then I really have to go - I get up in 7 hours and I have most likely at least 30 minutes of school left lol. OKAY took a quick break but we back <3. I am definitely not letting this be the smallest, or even second biggest, section XDD. Anyway, yeah, I just- it was really lovely and wonderful to feel such feelings that I stimmed like that again, and it was really great <3. With a recent re-hyperfixation at some really epic parts I’ve been able to stim a little, like, naturally, but this is just a whole new/’nother level :). I was literally kicked my legs up in the air and flinging my arms around lol xD. Like, those legs were 90 degree angles because I was mostly lying down on the cough XD. I just- I love them so, so much. That final, well more like FINALLY, culminative I suppose, handholding and kissing and cuddling at the end 😭😭😭😭😭. Like, when TK woke up I mean - although obviously we’ll talk about the apartment and the ending-ending in a minute xDD. It was like, he was so worn down that as soon as he felt like it was okay to hold his hand, the dam broke for Carlos and he couldn’t handle not touching TK, being close to him, supporting him, loving him. I am, in short, VERY emotional 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭xdd. Just- 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰. I LOVE THEM. SO. Okay, real quick, just as a last thing or two here, the apartment: it is so beautiful. I really do hope we eventually get at least a little talk, a little on-screen explanation from TK on why he acted the way he did, and while personally I think it was a little much to break up, I also kinda get it. He’s not used to having nice things :’(((((( (I believe I saw someone else say something along those lines and it is %1,000 true in my opinion 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭, if not all the time). I also saw someone say they honestly would’ve preferred if it was Carlos who had made the mistake, whether it was him or TK who actually did the breaking-up with, I believe, but honestly I don’t really care. I think we’ll see more mistakes from Carlos in the future (that was their reasoning), and while I don’t like the fact that TK has to make so many mistakes, he’s been through a lot and I feel like that was the only logical storyline to make the break up fit. Sure, do I wish they hadn’t ever broken up? Yeah! But also, kinda not. TV’s not perfect - in the wise words of Abed Nadir, “It needs to be okay for TV to take a sick day. Or phone in a day.” The show isn’t gonna be perfect - I agree with and acknowledge that. But, to me at least, it’s so very, very good <3. TK will keep making mistakes. So will Carlos. Hopefully, they won’t break up ever again - I really don’t think that’s likely, to be honest, luckily. I love them so, so much, and I think they’ll be okay.

Now, the ending party. Yes <3. I got a special little thrill and :’) of happiness at Mateo ringing the bell, because this is his first time entering that fire house, officially at least, as a full-fledged Fire Fighter. So proud of him <3 <3 <3 :’’’)))))))) 😭😭👏👏👏👏👏👏🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰. I just- I love him, I love them all :))))))). Also, yes, stan Paul and his new rich sponsor family <3 <3 <3 xDD. And yes, I was so happy that Gwyn was there 😭😭😭😭. Sure, TK, you may eventually have to admit - to her or to your therapist, I don’t know lol - that you saw her in your coma dream(scape), but for right now, I think it’s just good for you to see the real her :). She supported you through a hard time, and she’s hear to REALLY support you. You know, as a real person xD. And, support everyone of course, but mostly him, and Owen, I think :)). I mean, I know, but I’m sure she cares about the others too xdd. And TK’s little brother, her son 😭😭😭😭😭. I don’t remember his name, but I just- he is adorable. THEY are adorable - Gwyn with him, TK with him, whatever. Glad Owen wasn’t too weird or salty about it :’). Also having Baby Ryder (Charlie!!!!!! Love that so much 😭😭😭 :))) :’)) <3 <3 <3 <3 :pppppp :pp :pp :p) and Gwyn’s second son all (well, there’s two, but, you know, lol xD) around at the same time, it’s just fun and interesting :). Even if she and him (Gwyn and the kid) won’t be here too often, I assume :). And yes - quick note, again, CHARLIE IS SUCH AN AWESOME NAME 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭. You mind your business, Evie (I believe it was her, lol xDD) - that’s a wonderful and kick-butt girl’s name 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰. And it’s just so, so sweet 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 :’’’)))))))))))).

Anyway, that’s about it!

Overall: I absolutely loved this episode. I adored it. Owen wasn’t too bad, we got to see everyone at least a little bit, and the fire house is back up :). Maybe the ending was a bit quick, but honestly, it’s time that we move on from this storyline lol. It makes sense to wrap it all up right now :). Honestly, I was afraid it would end with a cliffhanger, or like, even if it happened offscreen, a kind of open ending, TK woke up and Tarlos is about to talk scene, but nOPE, we got much better :)). This was an amazing episode, so lovely, from Grace and Judd being amazing as always, to Billy, who was slightly less annoying than usual 🤔. You gotta admit he’s funny though, lol, xD. Ah, I love him. Well, maybe. Probably not as much as the rest of them, but I’m just in a happy mood right now XD. So yeah, I’ll love him :)). The team was adorable and loving, Tarlos hurt so much but ended happily, and it hurt in a good way, since it was amazing <3, Tommy might’ve finally forgiven herself for TK’s accident, :), Nancy helped Carlos open up a little bit, it wasn’t all about Owen, and little baby Charlie Ryder came into the world :)). And, of course, finally: The 126 Firehouse opened back up. Such an lovely ending. A great ending for an exciting episode arc :DD :D. I’m psyched to see more :)))))) 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰. I loved it <3. This was an amazing episode :’).

Minato’s Birthday PriZoom (8/21/21) commentary/report

Oh geez where to begin.

I originally intended to do two showings this time (which is one more then usual) but due to a last minute decision based on other poor decisions I ended up doing three which was the most I’ve ever done in a row! My translation of the bonus content is in a separate post.

Not only that but like... it kept putting me in the main screen up at the top too!! Like more than I’ve ever been up there! And I’m sure none of this was intentional, but I also happened to be positioned right next to a couple other people who also knew the traditional cyalume cheering stuff so that was really cool!

Heck I even made it onto the Mantan Web article apparently!!? (This is an official event photo.) Am I that recognizable even in blurry pixels? (Haha well I guess there’s the background too...)

I put a lot more concentration into my own cheering this time so I wasn’t clicking around to look at the other people in the room as much and thus I have fewer shoutouts to make.

I happened to catch a guy trying to balance TWO of the giant Shin mochikoros on his shoulders though?

And there was that guy hula-hooping to Kakeru’s entire performance!!??

And the person whose screen was just a cheering piece of celery.

The highlight was probably “Kouji’s Kitchen” though. A Kouji cosplayer who spent the entire show actively cooking.

I really admire the folks who make the actual food for these showings. I’ve been thinking I want to make pudding a la mode (probably the only KinPri food I could actually manage to make) if they do a Taiga showing next year but how would I keep it from melting during the show ahah ha... (Mashed potatoes I suppose?)

In the weeks leading up to the show I’d been wondering if we’d see any Minato cosplayers. I realized I’m not sure if I’ve actually EVER seen one at a showing (PriZoom or otherwise) as he’s not an easy character to do (what with body type and a lot of Kinpri cosplayers being female) but I think I saw at least two!

This was the first showing where I made an honest attempt to keep the soundboard on, largely because of @takadanobaba’s posts on it, but also just because it’s our STYLISH NEW ABNORMAL (...watch Idol Land PriPara). Ever since they introduced it, traditional cheering has gotten quieter and quieter with long periods of silence except for big moments like Over the Rainbow’s prism jumps. (And what is King of Prism when you’re actually able to hear it.)

So I tried it, really I did. And as I was saying, I can somewhat see the appeal. People are finding ways to use it creatively to bring out that same brand of humor that makes traditional cheering so fun. I turned it on and off during Pride the Hero and the first half of SSS Part 2. The best and worst moment I had with it came during episode 5 however, when Ace kabedon’d Miyo and Joji pulls up in the car.

Imagine that but like too fast and too loud for your brain to actually interpret what’s going on.

So that was... that was... that. (Thinking of how it will be at Joji’s actual birthday next month is giving me chills.)

I did turn it back on briefly during Best Ten while Platonic Sword was on. And for some reason I can’t quiiiite comprehend it was a grand chorus of ORE MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Okay, okay on to the meat. This showing had the BIGGEST bonus of all. Masashi Igarashi appeared for a “talk show” at two of the showings.

One of the first things he pointed out was how, unlike traditional theater greetings, he could see all of our faces individually. And then he actually clicked through all of our video feeds and made comments!!!! (Tatsuyuki Kobayashi didn’t do that.)

Throughout the first session he actually directly acknowledged me THREE SEPARATE TIMES. The first time was when he recognized that I had S-Pulse Dream Plaza as my background. (The real life location in Shizuoka where Minato saw Kouji for the first time.) The second time was when I pasted a message into the chat about being his American fan and HE ACTUALLY READ IT! The third time was during the All Stars Playback when they put me on the screen and he thanked me in the chat again for putting up Dream Plaza.

I’m really happy I put in the effort to do a meaningful background!

All of a sudden I’m inspired to do more for each character. It was years before King of Prism existed, but I did go to Okayama once. I’m thinking I might need to sort through some old photos before Joji’s showing.

Anyway.

Masashi-san didn’t really seem to have anything planned out to say. He just kinda played off us when he could and rambled for a while about how great Minato and King of Prism is and all that. I think he’s a bit better when he has someone else to play off of. (Junta usually ends up being his straight man.) I don’t even know if he knew what he was saying half the time hahah.

The part that really stuck with me though was when he was talking about how there was such a large concentration of Minato fans here, but then he corrected himself as that’s not necessarily true since King of Prism fans cheer for everyone. So instead of camps for certain characters, he suggested we should do “club activities” as a fandom and since so many people brought vegetables to the showing we were the vegetable club.

This was followed by a rush of puns in the chat like VegetaBU (”bu” is Japanese for club).

I didn’t realize the second session of the greeting would be starting at the beginning of the next showing, even though that is how they usually do it for theater greetings (so the voice actor doesn’t have to wait around through another movie). It’s kind of odd that they had two different sessions actually, since pretty much everyone had the opportunity to do both as the tickets didn’t come close to selling out. But more money for them either way I guess. He actually changed shirts in between hahah. (From one Minato shirt to another.)

But anyway, when he suddenly came up on the screen again I was actually in the middle of trying to change the batteries in my cyalumes ahahah. And it put me up top of the main screen AGAIN! I kinda wanted to switch my camera off so someone else could get a chance but I didn’t want to seem rude for disappearing either!!!

Eventually I did turn my camera off, giving up my space, because my cyalume blades were all DYING from having been on CONSTANTLY since the beginning of Pride the Hero and I didn’t want it to seem like I was checking my phone or something while I was changing the batteries. (One of them ended up cutting out during Best Ten anyway because in my mad scramble to change the batteries I guess I put the old ones back in haha.) That felt like the right decision since I crashed and burned pretty hard during the middle of Best Ten. (Cheering fatigue is rare for me but I was pushing 24 hours being awake at this point...) I also sure heck didn’t want to be up there during Love Graffiti BUT I didn’t do as bad as I thought. The drills I did without the video before the showing paid off! I’m so happy I’m finally learning it after all this time. Take THAT two year depression spiral.

Although this showing was lively, I have to admit it didn’t quite meet my overinflated expectations, though. I don’t think either room broke 200 people at any point during the showing. I could have sworn at least ONE showing I went to in the past did... I think the Shin/Louis one maybe... but looking through my past posts I can’t find a mention of it. ...Wait, even if that’s true I guess it doesn’t count since we only had one room back them. Mmmrhghg.

I do have pretty high hopes for the next few months though because Joji and Hiro are EXTREMELY popular characters.

dude why am i living mitski’s nobody in real life right now...

i’ve met basically all the f*reigners in my city AND neighboring cities now and i’ve met NO one that i can actually vibe with. most of the people here i already know i can’t get along with because they’re honestly just weird as hell and awkward in that like... generally harmless but never learned human interaction and is therefore tactless way? which is fine but again i can’t vibe with that. the other people are weirdass “i hate s//jws” types OR they have fine personalities but i can tell we’re never actually going to be FRIENDS bc we have NOTHING in common besides that we both have social skills lmfao. so every day i go to work, pretend to like these people, go home, listen to mitski’s nobody and wish i were working in nyc and interacting w interesting ppl... even though i get invited to things and am in a d///nd group here i “have fun” in the sense that i enjoy the novelty and i enjoy being around people in general but i would be actively hating all of this shit if it were happening at home and i were used to things. g*d i know you’re not supposed to like your coworkers and you shouldn’t expect that but how can literally none of these 50ish people vibe w me?

i’m also having a hard time bc i can’t decide on which personality i should be performing so i keep switching each day so i keep throwing people off and people have commented on it but like... can y’all just tell me which personality you like most bc y’all are NOT getting my real personality bc y’all would hate it... you guys would not even begin to believe how fucking. you can TELL all of these people were That Weirdo bc i was like “yeah i mean dr*gs aren’t like bad lol” (this is related to what we were talking about) and people IMMEDIATELY jumped all over me and started gossiping abt me (which i hear through other ppl bc ppl in this group love sharing gossip fml) and now i’m legit ostracized lmao... how did these people go through college lmao wtf

g*d and EVERYONE is white except for two other people and i talked to them about it and BOTH of them were like “yeah i hate it when people make a big deal about race it doesn’t matter” i’m so fucking DONE i hate my life i hate my life!!!!!!! i’m not going to experience growth here at ALL i can fucking feel it my mind is actively shrinking from lack of use i hate my LIFE i hate my life. g*ddddddd i wish i could talk to someone about this in person because there’s so MUCH to go on about but i regret moving here so so much. actually the place is fine and i like my city i just wish the people were different WTF!!!

Haha wow this wound up being pretty long. If anyone who reads all this shit finds something they disagree with by all means, tell me. My opinions aren’t facts, I like hearing other viewpoints.

Well, the launch line up sucks complete ass, but that’s to be expected. I mean when the fuck was the last time something had a GOOD launch lineup? The Dreamcast? I’ll go over what I think of all the games so far, firstly:

Nintendo actually gets everyone’s attention. Positive buzz, for once. And THIS is what they show? And it’s not even a goddamn INCLUDED GAME? It’s not even a GAME! Who the fuck is this for? Even if you look at if from a “I’m a hot young millennial who doesn’t enjoy video games, AKA Nintendo’s current target demographic” perspective, why the FUCK would you spend 350 united states dollarydoos to buy a Switch and this game when you can probably just download all the shit “games” on your phone for free?? What kind of goddamn “selling point” is “you don’t even need to look at the screen :DDD” why WOULD I BUY THAT WHY WOULD ANYONE BUY IT, IT SCREAMS “FREE TECH DEMO WITH THE GAME ALA WII SPORTS” WHY

I keep hearing that Ultra Street Fighter 2 is 40 bucks which is way too much fucking money for Street Fighter 2 with two palette swap characters with a few new moves but hey it’ll almost certainly be better than SFV so there’s that

Fire Emblem Warriors is going to be a goddamn Awakening/Fates fest, including some people from Marth’s game, Roy, Ike, and like, Sigurd or something so they can pretend they give a shit about people who’ve stuck with the franchise. They got fucking weird with some of the Hyrule Warriors picks (I don’t think a single fucking person saw bug girl coming) so maybe I’ll be wrong. Please let me be wrong. Fire Emblem really lends itself to be a musou title please don’t fuck it up PLEASE

Super Mario Odyssey looks good and I’m legitimately excited for it, New Donk City looks fucking WEIRD, seeing “real” humans but I feel like they were going for that? Sandbox Mario games are a safe bet on being great, I ain’t worried. Also Bowser looks fucking great. I like this Bowser.

Splatoon 2 looks like more of what Splatoon was, which is a great thing. The Splat Dualie looks really fun to use even though I’m probably just gonna stick with the roller like the scrub that I am. More customization is great but I might just stick with the twintails, hairwise. I WANNA KNOW WHAT’S UP WITH PUNISHED MARIE THOUGH WHERE IS CALLIE WHERE THE FUCK IS SHE NINTENDO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH MY SQUID WIFE IF YOU HURT HER I SWEAR TO FUCKING GOD I-

Shin Megami Tensei: We Showed a Giant, Uncensored Green Cock on a Nintendo Livestream: I don’t like getting hype over games with no gameplay shown, so I’m trying to keep my expecations in check for this mystery SMT game.
