An Attitude of Gratitude Thought and Prayer: Dear God, I want to thank You for all the beauty around me which you created. In every part of nature Your hand is revealed. I thank You Lord God that wherever I live, move or have being, there I will see some part of Your beautiful creative work, either in nature, animals, birds or people, and it will remind me to give thanks to You, my Creator.

For You, LORD, have made me glad through Your work; I will triumph in the works of Your hands. Psalm 92:4 [NKJV]

June 13--Heart for the Lord--Day 13

JOYFUL HEART For he will not dwell unduly on the days of his life, because God keeps him busy with the joy of his heart. Ecclesiastes 5:20 (NKJV)

Today’s Thought: Do you have a Joyful Heart? What is the “joy” of your heart? A Joyful Heart is glad, happy, delighted in living life now. It does not look back in sorrow at the past but rejoices in today and keeps busy bringing God glory each moment of it’s day. Let’s pray for a Joyful Heart so we can experience the joy of serving the Lord each day of our lives!

Prayer of the Heart to the Lord: Dear Lord, today I ask that You create in me a Joyful Heart so I can stay busy and do the things that bring joy to You, others and myself. I want to live my life with a Heart full of Joy so I can serve You with gladness and happily share that joy with others.

August 23--Spiritual Check Up: Peace

PEACE Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” –Jesus John 14:27 (NKJV)

Today’s Action: Jesus said He was leaving us Peace, His peace. His peace is different than the world’s peace. His peace is interior, the world’s is exterior. His peace is constant, it does not depend on circumstances like the world’s peace does. In the midst of the world’s confusion, we can be at peace daily with the peace Jesus gives us.

Our spiritual health depends on having His peace.

Spiritual Exercise: Choose to accept and put on the peace daily that Jesus offers for He has said: I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 (NLT) Choose to walk then in His peace, and you will not be troubled, nor afraid. Even if you are walking in a world full of unrest today, you can claim the peace that Jesus gives, and you will be spiritually healthy and well. Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all. 2 Thessalonians 3:16 (NLT)

June 10--Heart for the Lord--Day 10

GOOD HEART “A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things..” Matthew 12:35 (KJV)

Today’s Thought: We would all like to have a Good Heart for a Good Heart brings forth good things and good treasures are stored there. Jesus said: “No one is good but One, that is, God.” Luke 18:19 [NKJV] Therefore, a Good Heart would have to be one that is full of God. It would be a Heart that carries the goodness of God wherever it goes. Today, let’s ask God for a Good Heart, one that is full of Him and His goodness.

Prayer of the Heart to the Lord: Dear Lord, today I ask that You create in me an Good Heart. A Heart that is full of YOU! I want a Good Heart that has good things to share with others. A Good Heart that is filled with Your good treasures that others will see and seek because it reflects You! A Good Heart that will reflect You in everything it says and does. So, please, God give me a Good Heart that is full of Your goodness. A Heart that You can use for Your Glory, O God.

June 19--Heart for the Lord--Day 19

REJOICING HEART Then Hannah prayed: “My heart rejoices in the LORD! The LORD has made me strong. Now I have an answer for my enemies; I rejoice because you rescued me.” 1 Samuel 2:1 (NLT)

Today’s Thought: A Rejoicing Heart can smile no matter what situation it is in because it knows it belongs to the LORD and it knows He will strengthen and protect it. Let’s pray for a Rejoicing Heart so we can smile at our enemies and feel secure as Hannah did.

Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. Habakkuk 3:18 [NKJV]

Prayer of the Heart to the Lord: Dear LORD, today I ask that You create in me a Rejoicing Heart so I can rejoice in You each day no matter what my situation is. I want the joy that comes from knowing my salvation is from You, dear LORD, so then I can smile at my enemies, as my heart rejoices, because a Rejoicing Heart knows You are in control of everything!

Spiritual Vitamins--Day 5--September 5

SPIRITUAL VITAMIN C: CONSIDER “Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow, they neither toil nor spin and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.” –Jesus Matthew 11: 28,29 (NKJV)

Today’s Thought: Consider the lilies growing out in the fields. How do they grow? Who takes care of them? Who planted their seed? Who fertilizes their soil? Who waters them? How are the weeds kept from choking them out? The answer is God–He is the Master Gardener. He takes care of them and He will take care of us.

Today’s Action: Today, may this scripture be the vitamin that you need to continue growing in your current situation. Consider that He will always provide what you need as you depend on Him for all your resources.

to recognize the authority or claims of

to express thanks for

Today and everyday, let’s acknowledge God in all our ways and resolve to walk on the paths He has chosen for us , for He has promised if we acknowledge Him in all our ways, He will then make our paths straight! What an exciting journey awaits us! Let’s get started today !

Today’s Action: Today let us: In all our ways–

Admit that His word is true.

State that we have received Him into our lives.

Recognize His authority over our life.

Respond to Him by thought, word and action.

Thank Him for everything He has done. AND… “He shall direct your paths” Proverbs 3:6

SPIRITUAL VITAMIN D: DELIGHT “Delight yourself also in the Lord…Psalm 37:4 (NKJV)

Today’s Thought: How do we delight ourselves in the Lord? Delight is something that gives us great pleasure. It is something that we are highly pleased with. It is something we rejoice in.

Today’s Action:

DELIGHT IN HIS WILL “I delight to do Your will, O my God.” Psalm 40:8

DELIGHT IN HIS WORD “I will delight myself in Your statutes” Psalm 119:16

DELIGHT IN HIS WAY “Yet they seek Me daily, and delight to know My ways.” Isaiah 58:2

Today, let’s take our Spiritual Vitamin D, which is Delight. Let’s just take great pleasure in the Lord for no other reason than that He is our Lord.

Let’s rejoice that we belong to Him! Let’s tell Him we are highly pleased to be His child! Let’s just delight ourselves in Him all day long!

Message: I love this verse! As we speak to one another and meditate on the LORD’s name He hears us and makes remembrance of us. Not only are our names written in God’s Book of Life, but they are also written in His Book of Remembrance. That’s one of the blessings of those who fear the LORD.

Blessing: God’s Steadfast Love For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; Psalm 103:11 ESV

Message: God’s steadfast love, His lovingkindness, is as high as the heavens towards us who fear Him! Infinite, un-ending, great, un-imaginable love towards those who fear Him. The word for steadfast love is very similar to yesterday’s word for mercy. So once again we see how blessed we are as we fear the Lord and walk in His ways.
