5 moments i want to address from 03 x 07 of hsmtmts (aside from rina)

1. carlos and kourtney having HUGEEEEE breakthroughs this episode!!! with kourt climbing the wall and los taking his shirt off, they both made amazing steps forward in their respective battles! i really hope this isn't the last time it's addressed though because i'd love to see where it goes from here

2. carlos giving ashlyn the flag pin and welcoming her to the community!! that was LITERALLY adorable and ash had such a glow the entire episode it was so beautiful

3. SEBLOS NATION RISING AGAIN I KNOW THAT'S RIGHT 🫶🏾 i missed seb so much actually he is so cute and pocket sized and makes me smile whenever he's on screen

4. maddox repairing two different relationships in her life and OFFICIALLY one of The Girls™️ just made my heart glow. PLEASE GIVE US HER IN SEASON 4 PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE

5. gina being strong enough to walk away from a relationship that wasn't working!! my girl knows what she's worth and won't settle for less and I LOVE IT. not just that, but the sheer growth she showed in that moment with recognizing that their honeymoon phase was definitely over and she wasn't going to get the stability she longed for out of EJ.

HSMTMTS Season 4 Ideas

After season 3, I’m feeling…apprehensive about season 4. Here’s the show I want to watch:

The College Kids

Ricky and Kourtney dealing with different stresses of being a senior.

Ricky, who has bad grades and an apparent lack of profitable skills, may not be going to community college, much less college. I’d love a storyline with Ricky wrestling with what his future could look like if he is taking a different path then his friends. Learning that working for Big Red’s parents and doing community theater could be rewarding, that he doesn’t need academic success to have a fulfilling life.

Meanwhile, Kourtney is bright, college-bound, but now dealing with a disorder which can make taking tests, going to class, turning in big projects on time difficult. She’s anxious about going to college and bombing because of her GAD. But she learns that it is okay not to get perfect grades, not to make it to every class, etc, but instead her value comes from just being her. (My little sister was diagnosed with GAD right when she was in the beginning of college, and this is a lot of what she deals with. She’s a national merit scholar who had to drop a class because she was failing it. But she amazing and hardworking and smart, and her struggles with GAD don’t change that.)

The Couples

I’d love to see a lot of Seblos and Redlyn.

Season 2 started to explore with Seblos the challenge of dating someone with a different socioeconomic status and a different idea of what level rudeness/sassiness is appropriate. I would like to see more of that and how they learn to compromise and grow as a result of their differences, instead of the differences tearing them apart. Also, another Seb solo, please.

Cuteness is what I want from Redlyn. Ashlyn being the most over the top celebratory and supportive girlfriend of a senior. Big Red making Ashlyn feel like a star no matter how large her role in the show. And of course, I’d like the show to keep having the characters explore their insecurities and by doing so grow as a couple and as individuals.

Gina

Let’s have Gina in a mentoring role. Gina has really grown from being the wonder study to being a great friend. I feel like the next step in the journey is mentorship. It is not her natural inclination, but Gina rises to any occasion.

The musical

In my dream world they are doing Wicked or Grease, but that’s not likely. I L.O.V.E. the theater stuff. Give me more show rehearsal. Season 1 and 2 did that so well and then season 3…we don’t talk about season 3. 🫣. I’d like to see more crew. Stagecraft is such an important part of theater and I’d love for it to be given its due on this show.

How do you feel about carlos as a character this season (outside of seblos)?

i LOVE him. i really, really love him.

at first i was skeptical bc he was so focused on material things in that one episode ….. but u know what, everyone has their things !!!! and their little quirks !!!! it’s ok !!!

fr tho, carlos is so genuine, proud, LOUD AF, & just ….. so himself ….. he’s not afraid of standing up to other ppl, UGH it is so nice to watch on screen <3

so yes i love him & his character and i hope he keeps on killing the game ❤️❤️ also seblos nation rise 🙌
