I find Mikey very relatable from the younger sibling perspective. Mikey always tries to prove himself that he is capable (going on a mission by himself, becomes competitive against Leo in Hueso's restaurant, tries to convince raph of their own plan (in one episode of 🎶mystic metal needed🗣️🎶 and Donnie shouts TOP COIN PAID(I love them), I feel like he's pretty doubtful in his position of the family.

Plus I want to mention how he is the family therapist, he is the bridge of his family, if he collapses, he will lose his family. I just believe Mikey daydreams a lot by means being delusional, to keep himself going. When daydreaming you're mentally absent.
