JOMP BPC - November 3rd - Older Than Me
I would've thought all 5 of the Stephen King books I own would be older than me but apparently it's only these three 🤔

To Feel Normal Again
Andy Dufresne (The Shawshank Redemption)
We sat and drank with the sun on our shoulders and felt like free men. Hell, we could have been tarring the roof of one of our own houses. We were the lords of all creation. As for Andy - he spent that break hunkered in the shade, a strange little smile on his face, watching us drink his beer.
You could argue he'd done it to curry favor with the guards. Or, maybe make a few friends among us cons. Me, I think he did it just to feel normal again, if only for a short while.
The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
I drew Andy again for another book review, even when it had nothing to do with Shawshank Redemption XD Because I just like him that much and I hated everyone in the book I was reviewing. It was Apt Pupil btw.
You can come and watch draw this piece in the video. Even if you've never read it or don't like it, you can join me and enjoy how absolutely done with everyone I am 😂

Opening Facebook for the first time in a couple of days and this is the first post I ran to:
This movie brings so much feels, and it's one of the few that give the book justice.
I don't think I ever cried watching a thriller as much as I did when watching the Shawshank Redemption, and The Green Mile (credits to Frank Darabond for bringing those two stories to life and doing it so well).
I recommend them with all my heart, both books, and movies (I didn't read The Green Mile but my mother did and when she says something is good and accurate to the movie adaptation I believe her).

Today I leaned the novella “Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption” is, in German, simply “Pinup.”

Always liked this scene. It’s just what men are like, aint it … even if they aren’t in prison. Makes me grin.
(Did you know that the original Stephen King book was a novella called ‘Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption’?)
