#Reddington is literally the only one who isn’t a huge idiot

Still watching Blacklist sporadically, finally got to the part where we finally conclusively learn that Tom is not just a bumbling loving husband caught in the wrong place at the wrong time but is in fact an evil secret agent who’s been playing Liz for a fool just like Reddington tried to warn her (and honestly, getting the proof that Reddington was actually trying to help her and wasn’t trying to like isolate her from her loved ones for nefarious reasons is a huge relief)

And honestly? While I used to spend episodes yelling at Tom for being an annoying douchebag, him taking off the mask and going full evil cold superspy is...really very sexy of him and my annoyance at the character has evaporated even tho I’m really fucking mad at him for killing Hat Guy.

Through all the past episodes I’ve been saying that there’s one (1) truly smart and competent character on the show and it’s Reddington (and also probably Dembe just by virtue of still being alive but we really don’t know enough about him for me to say that). I’m now a little worried that there might be a grand total of two (2) smart and competent characters on the show, and the other one is Tom Keen.

#IF THAT IS HIS REAL NAME (it almost certainly isn’t) #yes I am saying that every other character on the show who is still alive as of the episode I just finished watching is a dumb motherfucker #I’m sorry but Liz has not shown herself to be nearly as smart as the show built her up to be #Cooper is an idiot sorry #and while I love Ressler holy FUCK he is probably the dumbest FBI agent on the entire show #ok Meera and Aram are okay too. but out of the characters who get to make important decisions on the show? #Reddington is literally the only one who isn’t a huge idiot #so thank god he’s completely brilliant or they’d all be dead many times over by now
