Koisuru Psycho no Shirayuki-kun - Enatsu Haruka (8/10)

Oh no it's one of my weaknesses! A brawny, brute-force yandere in a real horror setting! No need to hold back here! Everyone sucks, so we can just enjoy the bloody show! I do feel bad for the protagonist though. He's just a victim surrounded by psychos.

Haruki is a classic bullied kid.

A nice guy who knows he can't fight back.

His bullies are serious. No emotional manipulation. No beating around the bush. Just pain. The story begins with a "waterboarding game".

Yup.

These kids are testing army torture methods out on their victim.

They do it wrong so they just punch him instead. The worst part is all three bullies are clearly enjoying the process. They aren't doing this because of some misunderstanding.

Being sadistic makes them feel good.

A mysterious boy appears!

He says their torture methods are "wrong".

They aren't inflicting the maximum amount of pain.

He's a small guy, but he asserts his dominance immediately.

He accidentally saves Haruki as well.

The difference in "skill" and the lack of emotion the sadistic boy shows is a HUGE red flag.

Haruki is a victim with a savior complex. He knows the bullies are dangerous and he doesn’t want his innocent classmates to suffer.

He hates his life, but he's able to endure it because of this virtuous delusion.

Shirayuki the Psycho thinks that's cute.

He officially introduces himself, and his intentions are clear.

He's not interested in waterboarding like the bullies, but he does want to play with Haruki.

Shirayuki is some form of sociopath, but the story has only just begun. We don't know if his crush is real or not, but Shirayuki smiles brightly when he stands up for Haruki.

He wants to date Haruki.

Haruki is immediately proven correct.

When Shirayuki stands up for him a second time the head bully pulls a knife.

Shirayuki doesn't even flinch.

The sudden strength reveal is crazy, and it also implies that Shirayuki is going to get rid of the bullies through physically torturous means.

Shirayuki is strong enough to:

- Carry his crush.

- Jump out of a second story building unharmed.

- Fend off a larger foe with a knife.

In other words he's a OP yandere and the bullies are just kids who aren't prepared to face a real challenger.

This will not be a sweet romance.

Haruki accidentally tells Shirayuki he can't date ANYONE as long as he's being bullied. He could NEVER let his lover suffer and be bullied with him.

The solution is obvious for a psycho like Shirayuki.

The bullies vanish one by one.

Domestic Dread (Visual Novel)

Dang, it's pretty cool to see epykslion make a game since I've only seen him play yandere (and horror) vns most of the time, but here we are! Domestic Dread is made for the #72HourMurderboyMayhem so currently it's in a demo state, but it does have a moment where you can bake cookies with the main guy, so that's always fun. It has an air of mystery to it that makes it pretty exciting. You can learn about it more here at @domesticdread.

Vinny is the default name for the MC so I will be referring to them as such.

The story starts out with Vinny waking up in a bed. Unable to remember who they are or what they are doing here, they end up freaking out when they realized that they're in a cabin above the mountains. A man they don't recognize comes to see them, worried about their condition, and introduces himself as Marcelo. He explains that Vinny's boyfriend, Brandon Cooragain was the one who almost got them killed, then explaining how much of a jerk he was. He gets Vinny to follow him to the living room where we see Brandon, beat up and tied up on the floor. He tries to get Vinny to kill Brandon, but they refuse, causing Marcelo to get angry. He calms down and proceeds to leave as he has something he has to do first, telling Vinny to clear their mind before deciding what to do next.

If Vinny decides to follow Marcelo, we get to see Marcelo taking out burnt cookies. Regardless of if Vinny tries to eat them or tries to throw them away, Marcelo apologizes for his outburst and bring them back to the living room.

If Vinny decides to check the room, they will find a journal detailing their past, which reveals that Marcelo was telling the truth about Vinny complaining about how much of a jerk Brandon was. However, they also realize a lot of their complaints were pretty menial and can't seem to believe that they would want to kill Brandon over something so insignificant.

If Vinny decides to check in the bedroom where they woke up, they'll find a scrapbook with Brandon and Vinny together hanging out. We find out that Brandon was about to marry Vinny before the incident happens, which makes Vinny question about what's actually going on.

When Marcelo comes back, it's time to make a decision.

If Vinny decides to kill Brandon, they will stab him repeatedly with the knife, causing him to wake up and scream as he dies. Marcelo comforts Vinny afterwards as they're still in shock after killing Brandon.

If Vinny refuses, then Marcelo will kill Brandon in front of them. Marcelo reprimands Vinny for always choosing others before themselves, with Marcelo having to fix everything afterwards. He tells Vinny that he won't stand for this and will make the decisions for them.

If Vinny remembers after reading the scrapbook, then refuses to let anything happen to Brandon or Marcelo. Vinny is able to prevent Marcelo from stabbing Brandon.

Starting out, it's really cool to be able to see a mystery like this unfold for us since even with the pieces of finding out that Vinny has been complaining about Brandon and finding the scrapbook of Vinny and Brandon, it's not completely clear on what Vinny felt for Brandon, but it is implied that it's not nearly as bad as Marcelo makes it out to be. Still though, there is a lot of contradictory evidence on what Vinny actually feels for Brandon, though it is noted that Marcelo's reasoning on why he might be helping VInny carry out what's happening isn't necessarily a lie, but something that has been built up for a while, as noted by the notebook filled with complaints that VInny had. Still though, like Vinny noted, a lot of the complaints were very small offenses that shouldn't amount to Brandon dying. So either Vinny was a very petty person or Marcelo is blowing things out of proportion. Or it might be a secret third thing! Who knows.

It's pretty obvious that Marcelo is likely using Vinny's amnesia as a way to get rid of Brandon, though it's likely just to pull through from before Vinny lost their memory, since it does mention that the two end up going in the mountains somewhere. Its kind of cute (?) that Marcelo ends up trying to make cookies for Vinny before they woke up though it does seem pretty nonchalant considering that Vinny kind of just lost their memories and could possibly have sustained brain damage or just have never woken up but I guess it could be just something that Marcelo is just trying to take care of. That being said there's still a high probability that Marcelo somehow convinced Vinny to get rid of Brandon in some capacity and is now using the amnesia to go through with it, either with Vinny killing him themselves or Marcelo killing him Either way, the three of them are stuck on a cabin on top of the woods so they're basically in self confinement.

Overall though, while a short demo, a pretty interesting premise. I'm curious to see where this will all lead up to and what Vinny as a person was, and what their relationship between Marcelo and Brandon were.

Do you ever check out other Miraculous AU's? What are your faves? Do you like people giving you recommendations?

Well I'm currently simping for @bigfatbreak's Dad Villain/Viceroy AU, and you should also check out her "Birds of a Feather" Feralnette AU if you like a good Lila-driven divergence from canon. She has an amazing artistic take on a webcomic format which creates stunning and thought provoking visuals, and I love her command of the canon characters and the interesting direction she takes them.

There's also @buggachat's "Bakery 'Enemies' AU". I love the characterization of these Post-Hawkmoth, semi-older characters and her clever balance of angst and humor. Plus Buggachat is just reigning Queen of excellent facial expressions, a true inspiration if you ask me. (Please do not bother her about continuing, she'll post if and when she feels like it and it's no one's business to pressure her)

I also wouldn't call this an AU per se, but I thoroughly enjoyed her ML Paris Special comics and her increasingly unhinged versions of Shadybug and Claw Noir.

You might've noticed all these AUs are comics. I've been pretty out of the fanfic game for a while and I'm not really interested in any long-form stories. As for recommendations, I don't mind them being dropped but I might not follow up lol.

Doku wo Kurawaba Sara Made - By Tobari Sawa (8/10)

Our protagonist is a father who will do whatever it takes to save his daughter, and himself, from complete ruin. He's trapped inside an Otome Game, so fate will never favor him. As the father of the Villainess he has nothing, so he throws away his pride and he uses seduction. It works too well.

The Kingdom of Parsemis is magically blessed. There is a barbaric tradition.

A holy maiden MUST be sacrificed to the nations patron Dragon every ten years.

It's a political thing.

Andrim realizes he is s fool when he watches his only daughter lose. He treated her like a pawn. A convenient daughter from a dead woman.

He realizes she never had a chance.

He never had a chance.

He's not even the main villain.

He, and his daughter, are both prolouge villains.

The ultimate insult.

The Villainess will be executed!!! Is such a trite ending. Here it's more horrible.

In this scenario Natasha, the protagonist, was destined to be eaten by the dragon.

Julietta, the Villainess, was supposed to wed the prince.

The Prince uses his authority to remove Julietta from power and get rid of her in one fell swoop.

Why is this possible?

Natasha is the destined holy maiden, but Julietta is from a special sage bloodline...so conveniently she can be sacrificed as well.

A loving father would have kept Julietta far away from the Prince.

Natasha, of course, realized she could seduce the Prince and save herself.

Andrim was a total fool.

If he had just protected his daughter a little bit both of them would have survived.

Andrim remains calm. He thinks about what he can do. His daughter is doomed and the Prince clearly wants him gone too.

He tries to use his memories of the game to escape his fate, with his daughter.

He accepts the new engagement, and his daughters new position as sacrifice....gladly.

Yes, he is a dutiful Prime Minister.

He understands that a special girl must be sacrificed for prosperity. He carries her away and he says he will prepare her for that fateful day.

In the original plot he raved like a madman and demanded Natasha's death instead. Even though the Prince had declared otherwise.

He backs away, because he cannot win without power.

He joins hands with a corrupt priest and the ACTUAL DRAGON!

He promises to entertain Karis, the Dragon, because only he knows the special lore.

The Dragon is bored.

Andrim is able to tempt the Dragon with a new kind of entertainment. It's bored of eating women.

Andrim must commit evil to live.

He goes waaaayyyy too far.

The Dragon is not the love interest.

It's Jorga the Commander. The adult figure supporting the youthful otome group.

Andrim uses him completely. Not sure how yet but Jorga commits absolute atrocities for Andrim. He betrays the royal family for Andrim, and the palace is filled with torture.

Jorga is the most useful card on the field, and Andrim uses his beauty to "get" him.

Is it genuine love? No, but Jorga is all about loving acts of service.

The plan rolls into an avalanche slowly.

Andrim gives up his position as Prime Minister. This earns him plenty of sympathy points. He also appoints a young genius on purpose. The boy is not fit to run the government. He uses politics to force the boy into a position he can't handle.

This makes him even more pitiful.

The capable Prime Minister had to abdicate for his daughter, and his replacement is trash...

How awful...

His poor daughter. In the end its not her fault that the Prince's eyes wandered...

Natasha is a cruel moron and that helps. Her otome team constantly has to cover her ass.

She's going to be a terrible Queen.

Julietta would have been perfect.

Andrim plans to take advantage of that.

Julietta is sweet but empty.

Andrim vows to make her happier.....after his dirty deeds bear fruit.

Julietta stays in the palace...with Andrim. He uses an old tradition to stay, where he can garner the most sympathy.

Apparently, the story turns into extremely sadistic revenge porn. If you like obsessive dogs with no morals this is your lucky day!

Andrim is not a merciful man. Even with his Japanese memories his ruthless side always prevails.

A Yandere Boyfriend's Sexy Punishment (Manga)

Genre: Smut

This one is pretty much straight up sex scenes, but it does have a yandere in it and at least semi interesting reason to why he became a yandere in the first place. Like a lot of smut, this one contains dubcon though it does work out in the end as the female lead does accept him and helps him with his trauma, which is kind of...well, it's something for a smut, I suppose.

The story starts out with Rei Inukai and Miu Seno going on a date together. They've been dating for about a month now and Miu is pretty excited to be with someone like him. As they go to his apartment, Miu is flustered at the idea of going further, only to walk into his bedroom filled with her pictures. Rei catches her and the two have sex (though with Miu mostly reluctantly). Afterwards, Rei reveals how the two of them met, with Rei about to commit suicide but Miu stopping him back when she was still a high schooler. Miu gets angry that Rei forced her and she runs away leaving behind a distraught Rei. Miu and friends hang out with Rei constantly trying to call her. While going home at night, Rei brings her into his car to show that he's gotten rid of all of the pictures. When she says it isn't enough, the two have sex (though more consensually this time). They make up and continue to go on dates, though Rei will often get possessive at times and go down on Miu. Rei goes out on a business trip and the two promise to call each other every night. Rei finds out that she's been going out with friends, and gets jealous, getting her to mastrubate as punishment. Miu gets addicted to this and mastrubates on his bed, which Rei eventually catches her doing. Rei gets more possessive over her, until Miu snaps him out of it by talking to him about it. Rei talks more about his backstory, how before he dated an abusive girlfriend who would beat him and was unsatisfied during sex. While going out to buy a gift for her, he finds her cheating with another man which lead to him trying to commit suicide. Miu feels sympathetic, promising that she is nothing like her ex and has sex with him. Afterwards, Miu and Rei take a picture together to get him to put up some pictures of both of them on his wall while Rei promises to become a better boyfriend.

Surprisingly there is a (sort of) arc in this smut where Rei becomes less possessive and eventually learns how to properly trust Miu. Generally in smut, the yandere is kinda just possessive for the sake of being possessive (especially if it's pretty much purely hentai) so it was nice to see why he might have developed such a strong obsessive and possessive streak with Rei. I do feel bad for Rei though considering he was abused and then subsequently cheated on by his first girlfriend, though this does explain possibly why he latched on so hard to Miu when she saved him and the idea that he wouldn't want her to leave him, which we can see when he starts shaking after Miu tells him to stop. Also, surprisingly, Miu does actually get angry and try to separate herself from Rei after he forced himself on her, which I feel like isn't that common in smut since usually it either ends the manga, or has some kind of weird thing where the female lead is okay with it. Miu does her best to try to communicate with Rei and cares about him greatly even when he becomes more forceful. It's kind of nice seeing the development of a yandere couple in a smut since we don't see it often.

In terms of yandere behavior, Rei of course has his first standard stalker wall filled with Miu's photos (which he gets rid of and then will later fill with photos of both of them), jealousy towards not only other guys that look at her but also with her friends, stalking her on social media and scribbling out their faces and of course possessiveness as he doesn't want to let Miu go. It seems he's been stalking Miu since he first met her, which explains the various photos of her when she was in high school.

Whether or not the yandere behavior will be lessen if the story wasn't a oneshot is probably not something I should be thinking about given the fact its a smut, but it's not too bad. It's already hard enough finding a semi consentual/wholesome male yandere smut stuff, and this is one of them. Pretty nice in that regard. If you think this is an interesting premise, please take a look.

I'm more of a sci-fi lover than a fantasy lover (in case you couldn't tell) but Damsel (2024) was cool, I kept pointing at the screen and saying 'this is structured like a horror movie!'

It's got an innocent 'maiden' (read: teenage girl) as the primary victim, an unseen monster (they take care not to reveal the whole dragon until a while into the movie!), gore, chase sequences, false hope, building tension/dread into the reveal of the monster, and even jumpscares! And that whole sequence taking place in a CAVE with TIGHT SPACES??? UGH! Cave exploration/diving is freakin' terrifying to me, it was so fun to see it utilized this way. Maybe I haven't seen enough fantasy, but this made me realize I want more horror fantasy. So cool.

Funny that the moment the dragon's appearance is revealed in full (in the cavern scene against Elodie's dad), it moooostly goes back to feeling like a typical fantasy movie. Like I def saw that resolution coming from a mile away, but still overall really good stuff.
