REVIEW
Peril by Kat Martin
Blood Ties: The Logans #3.5
Three authors tackled the story of bad guys on the run that end up in three different towns creating trouble and putting three young women at risk before the criminals are finally dealt with.
 REDEMPTION by Alexandra Ivy
Tessa Ralston has spent five years investigating cold cases while following the trail of the killer that took the life of her police partner in Denver. When a tip comes in that Deke will be in Denver, she soon flies out of Wisconsin to Denver hoping to bring Deke Mitchell to justice. Detective Ian Sullivan is eagerly waiting for Tessa’s arrival as he still has feelings for her and hopes they might get a second chance for a HEA. First, though, they have a killer to find and bring to justice…if they can.
RESCUE – HERO STYLE by Rebecca Zanetti
Ella Riverton is getting over Caden Scott at the Cattle Club when he reappears. Caden has determined that Ella and he are meant to be together and is ready to make it happen only to have Deke and his criminal cohort show up in town, make life more difficult and put Ella at risk. In this one I became curious about the men who run the Cattle Club and wondered if Ms Zanetti might have a series out about them in the future.
ONE LAST KISS by Kat Martin
This starts out as a lost/spoiled little rich girl being sent to learn what is important by working to inherit what her uncle has for her. It sounded familiar and I felt I had read it before, and I had. It was just as good this time as the last and saw Libby remembering parts of her past while learning what she really valued in life as she fell in love with Sam Bridger. In this novella the remaining bad guys are finally receive their comeuppance with the aid of some interesting characters that I would gladly read about in spinoff stories of their own.
The three stories segue together nicely with a satisfying conclusion and all three stories in the collection were a joy to read.
Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington-Zebra for the book – This is my honest review.
 5 Stars
    BLURB
IN THE PATH OF A KILLER . . .When a cop killer resurfaces in Denver, enlisting the help of a pair of local lowlifes, it marks the beginning of a violent crime spree that will wreak havoc and endanger lives. Law enforcement is on alert from the first sighting of the cold-blooded trio. To take down this brutal gang, only those willing to risk everything they hold dear stand a chance . . . First, a pair of Denver police officers facing each other for the first time after one night of abandon find themselves working together to stop an ambitious bank heist. In Wyoming, a string of robberies marks the gang's arrival, and the local sheriff springs into action when the criminals discover his estranged fiancée can identify them. Finally, in the mountains of Colorado, the gang takes shelter on a peaceful guest ranch, where a fiercely protective rancher is hellbent on roping the fugitives up for good. Trusting their sharply honed instincts, three rugged men will fight to stop the rampage before the women they'd die for become the next victims . . .

Quick update! I learn that I hadn’t been approved for an ARC of One cursed rose by Rebecca Zanetti. Oh well… I’ve been approved for an audio copy of The c*ock down the block by Amy Award who’s new to me, but the narrators are superb and I’m interested in the blurb. We’ll see! Finally, as I’m now part of Pippa Grant’s review team–yay me!–I’m expecting her next release, UIWL for April. That’s…

REVIEW
Frostbitten by Rebecca Zanetti
Deep Ops #6
Quirky interesting lethal operatives with mad skills, interesting pets, and partners that are perfect for them make this series one I eagerly look forward to reading as each new book is published.
What I liked: * Millie Frost: brilliant, gadget and mechanical creative genius, raised by her great aunt, works in the family outfitting business, loves her aunt and brother, loved by her community and the Deep Ops Team, framed for murdering Clay
* Scott Terentson: ex-Marine Force-Recon, warrior, lethal, excellent lawyer, has nightmares and PTSD, wealthy, loves his mother, dominant alpha, rather taken with Millie
* The chemistry between Millie and Scott and the way their romance and relationship developed
*JT Frost: Millie’s brother, protective, ex-SEAL, home and helping his aunt with the business, would like to see more of him in the future
* Mae: Millie & JT’s great aunt, owner of the outfitting business, had a health scare, in a relationship with the police chief
* Chief Lawrence Wyatt: solid police skills, honest, respected, cares about his town, fair, a good man, loves Mae
* Roscoe: German Shepherd, likes high heels and booze, a loving dog loved by the team
* Getting to see the team members again and catch up with them – do hope there will be more books in this series – they are a quirky group but endearing and people I would love to have as friends
* The plot, pacing, setting, and writing with twists and turns, great character development, and a conclusion that solved the murder mystery and put more than one evil person behind bars
* All of it really except…
What I didn’t like: * Who and what I was meant not to like
* Thinking about the warped thinking that allows people to do things that Clay, his friend, the person who murdered him, the thief, and the damage and pain they cause by their actions
* Having to say goodbye to the characters – do hope there will be another book
Did I like this book? Yes
Would I read more in this series/ by this author? Yes
Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington – Lyrical Underground for the ARC – This is my honest review.

BLURB
Enigmatic. With a wildly gifted mind, and an untamed head of hair to match, petite powerhouse Millicent Frost is brilliant when it comes to gadgets and electronics—less so with people. After an attempt to bust a bank scam goes awry, Millie is in hot water with Homeland Security and targeted by lethal enemies. In the midst of the trouble, she heads home to help out with the family hunting and fishing business. But when their rival competitor and Millie’s ex is murdered, she’s the number one suspect . . . Irresistible. Former Marine turned lawyer Scott Terentson devotes himself to getting his clients out of tricky binds. A loner, the last thing he wants is to belong to any team, yet the Deep Ops group considers him one of their own—and he pays the price by getting shot at by their enemies. Now Millie is seeking his help—just as he’s dealing with a brutal fail regarding a recent trial. Both are a headache, yet he’s drawn to Millie in spite of himself. They’re opposites, but maybe the old adage is true . . . Electric. Working together, Millie and Scott soon have more on their hands than they bargained for as the danger escalates—along with the sizzling heat between them. And when a disappearance is thrown into the mix, all bets are off . . .

I’m mostly on track with my reviews. Mostly… I could do better, and I’ll try. But in order to be able to post reviews, I had to make some purchases. I pre-ordered the next book in the Blades of Arris series by Starla Night. I also got Lone wolf by Rebecca Zanetti, Diana Palmer and Kate Pearce, and God of fury by Rina Kent plus the whispersynced audio. I also had some Audible credit to spend,…
