YEARS ago somebody requested me to draw Godzilla and Mothra as a couple (back when I used to do requests). Many years passed but in the light of recent events I decided to capitalize in the meme and finally put my shit together and draw it. I find really cute that kids nowadays ship a lizard with an insect as much as starco these days!

A Decade of Dinosaurs and Cartoons

Happy new year everyone! Here is a small “review” of my “art” through the last 10 years.

2010: I was still on school (wow!), used to draw in whatever paper I could find with any pencil/pen I could find. For first time ever my family got a scanner so I began to submit my stuff to pages like DeviantArt. I used to like drawing very edgy comics with my OCs.

2011: Look! now I color! and I began to sign my works with what used to be my name back then: Cormorana.

2012: My last year on school (again, wow! that feels incredibly old but it was just 8 years ago?) and got better at drawing and coloring dinosaurs. NOTE: I said “better”, not good, I still need to improve.

2013: I entered an institute and learned the basics of Adobe illustrator. Fonally my art got digital!

2014: Getting better at art and also learned the basics of photoshop.

2015: Still draw traditionally... a lot, just now I prefer to color digitally my “best” works.

2016: Back to paper and pencils. Also look! my OCs are back! They aren’t just as edgy now. Trying to draw backgrounds too!

2017: Look, Im tryin to draw humen.

2018: Instagram phase.

2019: FINALLY! after almost 10 years I got my first tablet! Im still getting used to it but it sure helps me drawing digitally. Something that hasn’t change in 10 years is that I STILL draw in any paper with any pencil I can find (gotta be eco-friendly people), but it doesn’t matters since nobody will notice when the drawing becomes digital! 

Im thinking in HOPEFULLY start doing comissions soon, I don’t live just eating air you know.

Monstober - Ghostbusters

The 80s cartoon of Ghostbusters sure was wacky as hell. Here are some of my favorite creatures in there: Ghash, The Winged Puma, Phantom and Samhain.

Probably I shall have saved this for day 22 of Inktober 2019, but already wanted to show you guys these drawings I made sometime ago. I may have a new idea for that day...

Hōnengyo, a japanese youkai that was curiously pretty similar to Godzilla, at least in one of its illustrations, made in 1860, almost 100 years before Godzilla’s debut in 1954.

The original story describes the encounter between a man a giant “fish” of 2 or 3 meters long in a river. But judging the illustrations, it seems that he just found a giant japanese salamander!

Hōnengyo, un yokai japonés que curiosamente se parecía mucho a Godzilla, al menos en algunas ilustraciones, que fueron hechas en 1860, casi 100 años antes del début oficial de Godzilla en 1954.

La historia original describe el encuentro entre un hombre un “pez” gigante de 2 a 3 metros de largo en un río. Aunque a juzgar por las ilustraciones, pareciera que lo que vió fue una salamandra gigante japonesa.
