He knocked on the door, and an excited boy came to open it, a big smile on his face.
"Remus, you're here! Come in, come in, Sirius and Peter are upstairs."
Remus entered the house, happy to see his friends again.
"Guys, Remus is here!!" shouted James from the bottom of the stairs.
"James Potter, we don't shout inside my house, darn it, you'll make me deaf one of these days!" Euphemia Potter, James's mother, arrived from the living room and welcomed Remus with an affectionate smile.
"Remus, my boy, my goodness, how you've grown, how are you? And your mother, is everything alright?"
Euphemia had always been incredibly kind to her son's friends, always taking care to make them feel comfortable and at ease in the Potter manor.
"Everything's fine, thank you, Mrs. Potter," replied Remus.
"Oh please, Remus, I've told you to call me Euphemia."
Remus smiled. However, James, eager to go upstairs to see the rest of the gang with Remus, took a deep breath.
"Mom, it's not that we're in a hurry, but we need to go up to my room, the others are waiting for us!" And without further ado, James took Remus by the hand and rushed up the stairs.
"No mischief, James! I'm warning you, if you break another one of my vases, you're grounded for the rest of the summer!"
"Yes, Mom! See you later!"
"Thank you, Mrs. Potter, for having me."
And poof, James quickly entered his room, slamming the door, of course.
"JAMES POTTER, THE DOOR!!"
The second year at Hogwarts was beginning for our young wizards. This past year had brought them closer than ever; their group was now famous throughout the school. Their pranks were renowned, their traps feared; they comprised the group known as the Marauders.
Remus Lupin was happy to have found such good friends; they had become inseparable.
"Finally, I thought she'd never let you go," sighed James.
"Remus! Are you okay? It's been a while; you also almost got caught by Euphemia," laughed Sirius and quickly hugged him.
"Yes, but she's still as kind," replied Remus with a laugh.
"Clutching, you mean!"
"Alright, let's get started," said Peter.
"Isn't Lucy here?" Remus asked curiously.
"Oh! I see someone is disappointed?" giggled James.
"I thought you were happy to see us, but you just wanted to come and see your 'Lucy' of love," said Sirius, imitating kissing noises.
Remus rolled his eyes and threw a pillow at them to silence them.
Lucy and he had become what one could call 'best friends.' They shared the same taste for reading, for pranks, but above all, for chocolate ;) She had especially managed to make Remus feel safe and comfortable during this first year. She's so sweet and so kind, he thought, a perfect friend in his eyes. But to say that he had never found her beautiful would obviously be a huge lie. Lucy had always been beautiful without any effort, naturally. Her golden hair and blue eyes made her look like an angel. And her laugh, Remus had never considered himself particularly funny; he left that role to Sirius and James. Yet, he loved making her laugh and couldn't help but smile at the sound.
So, yes, he was aware that Lucy was a pretty girl, but she was his friend. His friendship was so precious to him, and he didn't want to lose it for anything in the world. He had gotten used to James and Sirius's remarks; he knew their friendship might seem quite strange or even ambiguous, but he had always considered it like a sister.
"Not at all, I'm just surprised she's not here. I thought everyone was coming, since we were preparing the beginning-of-year prank, I thought… well. I was just surprised, that's all!"
James and Sirius exchanged a look, not believing a word of their friend.
"She couldn't come, family issues," James replied as justification.
Sirius raised his eyebrows; he knew very well that there were no 'family issues,' but Lucy's parents had probably locked her up at home all summer. That's what his own parents had planned to do, but he had snuck out.
"Alright, we got it, Lucy's not here, it's not the end of the world, let's not discuss it for hours!" complained Peter.
"Ok, ok, calm down, Pete," said James, then he coughed before starting.
"Alright, Gentlemen, I've gathered you this afternoon to discuss a matter of great importance." began the bespectacled young man, with a serious air he continued "As you know, last year marked the beginning of our now famous group, the Marauders."
"Yeah!! Bravo to us!" applauded and shouted Sirius.
Peter chuckled.
"It's true that our pranks were quite well done. Oh! Do you remember the one with the flying books that called the students 'nerds,' 'nerds' around the Ravenclaw tower?" laughed Peter.
"That's exactly it, Pete, we have a reputation to uphold, to maintain our title as the most feared pranksters at Hogwarts," continued James.
Remus rolled his eyes; apparently, this year wasn't going to be any rest either.
"For this, we must come up with a spectacular idea to start strong from the beginning of the year."
"What if we put buckets of water above the doors, so when people enter the room, water falls on their heads?" suggested Peter.
"No, that's not powerful enough as a prank, it's too simple, but we could keep it for later in the year," replied Sirius.
"What if we put a beehive in the Hufflepuff dormitory?" proposed James.
"After all, they're the same color; it could be their mascot," he joked.
"That's not a bad idea, but why Hufflepuff?" asked Remus.
"He's right, our main enemies are the Slytherins," exclaimed Peter.
"We should pull a prank on the Slytherins, right at the beginning of the year."
"But what kind of prank can we pull? We've already trapped them several times," Remus asked, worried about his friends' plan.
"Oh, I have an idea! My God, I'm so intelligent, illumination has struck me, you're really lucky to be friends with someone like me-" began the raven-haired boy.
"Spit it out!" shouted the three boys in unison.
"Okay, okay, wow, you guys are tense today," grimaced Sirius and continued
"Well, here's the thing, what if we change their robes?"
"How so?" asked Remus, increasingly interested.
"We could charm them and swap them with something else as soon as they enter the Great Hall," suggested James.
"We could switch them with Muggle ball gowns!" exclaimed Sirius.
"Yeah, that way, they'll look ridiculous, and everyone will see them all dolled up like princesses," and his friend burst into laughter.
"That's not a bad idea; the teachers won't be able to know it's us since we'll just have arrived," thought Remus.
"And I won't have to risk my life for this plan!" commented Peter.
"It was just that one time, Peter," sighed Sirius.
"Red ants, Sirius, Red ants! They sting!"
"Still, releasing red ants in the Great Hall was still a pretty good idea," smiled James.

Why Bellatrix Lestrange was so crazy (Most Noble and Ancient House of Black Headcanon)
• As someone who descended from generations of inbreeding, she suffered from mental instability from birth, which only worsened as she got older
• She inherited her Aunt Walburga’s explosive and dangerous temper, and extreme attitude on blood purity
• She had an inherently dominant and forceful personality, and excelled in anything that required adrenaline
• Her family environment was oppressive and as the eldest daughter she was given the most responsibilities snd expectations
• As Sirius and Regulus were both much younger, she was raised like a firstborn son and treated with little affection by her father
• However she was still a woman and could not escape the patriarchal values of the Black family which expected women to be submissive and continue the bloodline
• On the other hand she was also told the Blacks were the most illustrious family ever and thus she developed a high opinion of herself
• Her loud, argumentative and boisterous attitude did not sit well with her parents, who as a result constantly punished her
• Unlike her more suave sister Narcissa she was unable to hide her opinions and often got into trouble for it
• Despite being a top notch student, her parents paid little compliment to her achievements, instead expecting her to marry a pure blood heir as soon as she graduated
• Her parents cared little about her feelings and desires, but merely expected her to unquestionably follow their orders and honor the family name
• This authoritarian upbringing was what later endeared her to Voldemort’s authoritarian regime, and she gradually adopted her family’s cold and ruthless attitude
• As a teenager she was also insecure, craving for praise and validation that she never received, and having to shoulder her family’s responsibilities without having anyone to confide in
• She felt deeply betrayed by Andromeda’s elopement with Ted Tonks, as it was kept a secret, and despite herself taking the responsibility to protect her sisters, Andromeda did not appreciate it at all
• She fell in with the wrong crowd at school, many of her friends being the children of the first generation of Death Eaters, and they delved deeply into dark magic
• Her marriage with Rodolphus was arranged by their families, with little love or attachment, the main purpose being to forge a beneficial alliance
• Being ‘forced’ into a loveless marriage was partially what made Bellatrix so bitter, and she vowed never to have children and instead devoted herself entirely to Voldemort
• Despite fervently championing her family’s beliefs, she also had a rebellious streak, and refused to be a broodmare like other pure blood women, regarding it as something beneath her status as a female warrior
• Her hostile attitude towards traditional gender roles and motherhood made her an outcast amongst pure blood women, and she fell in deeper and deeper with male Death Eaters
• She didn’t have a single caring or nurturing bone in her body and was serious about sacrificing any hypothetical sons to the Dark Lord
• Voldemort gave her the attention her father never did, saw her as a truly brilliant witch superior to the men around her, and gave her free rein to unleash her frustration and rage
• She fell head over heels for Voldemort, partially in awe of his magical prowess and charming demeanor, and partially to spite her family for forcing her into a loveless marriage
• In her twisted mind, Voldemort also gave her a gateway to freedom, as no one else could ever tell her what to do with his protection, and Voldemort would never want his best lieutenant to be out of action due to pregnancy
• She was secretly jealous of Narcissa for marrying someone she loved, but also saw her as the only remaining sister and family she could confide in

The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black P2
So in the last post I made about the House of Black I talked mostly about every piece of information I know about the family as a whole. In this post I want to cover a little bit of the most famous witches and wizards to come out of the house of Black.
To start off with I feel it is important to re-mention that the house of Black has members in practically every family within the wizarding world and there are simply to many members to be able to talk about them all. So i'm going to talk about some of the less known members. I'm choosing to ignore the youngest generation I apologize.
The first member of the house of Black that I want to talk about is Artemisia Blackwood nee Black. Born in the 15th century to her mother a nameless member of the house of Black and her muggle father also nameless. Artemisia's birth was a complete accident made out of wedlock. Which combined with the fact that her father was a muggle you can imagine she wasn't very well liked within her family and was disowned upon birth. Despite her blood-status Artemisia was a firm believer in the pure-blood ways and despised anything and anyone having anything to do with muggles. Having this view point it is no surprise that she ended up marrying Eunon Blackwood, a muggleborn *sighs in logic*. They ended up having a daughter named Lysandra who was you guessed it, a squib. Lysandra would later disown her mother while Artemisia is being burned at the stake by witch hunters. So while god may not have favorites he does have least favorites.
Next up we have Phineas Nigellus Black born in 1847. Not much is known about his early life besides the fact that he was a Slytherin, and that he married his wife Ursula Flint sometime after graduating. Phineas is well known for being the worst Hogwarts headmaster ever. Some of my favorite things that he did is cancel quidditch for a single year not because of the goblin war that was currently going on but because his favorite pure-blooded Syltherin quidditch player got hurt playing it. In fact he believed the Goblin war to be just a rumor that was going around and remained ignorant for the entirety of the war. It got so bad that when the goblin leader invaded the school he didn't even show up leaving the staff and students to fend off the attack by themselves. Oh, but don't worry at least he removed the bell from the bell tower as it was causing him great distress when it rang because it reminded him of his wedding day, the poor guy.

By strategically selecting individuals with heterochromia as spouses or with just having members of their family with that trait, the chances of passing down the trait to future generations would increase.
Such was the case with Merindah, her great grandfather was a Dracarion, who was also the great grandfather of Bhaltair thus making them second-cousins, and as the non royal line of Dracarions don't perform any of these (keep in mind the enhancement only beingperformedby the royal line was installed three generations before), but could marry someone with the heterochromia trait, their blood weakened but in a way the gene is just inactive in them but their children with someone with the trait would result in a child with heterochromia and with enhanced blood to pass down to their children and even their grandchildren, so they can avoid inbreeding.

"Sirius, are you sure this is a good idea?"
"Relax, Remus, no one is awake at this hour."
"I have an idea, what if..."
"That's an excellent idea, James."
"For once, you have good ideas..."

The next day, the Slytherins woke up with horror. Their day had started quite well, happy to have gotten back at those damn Gryffindors, they didn't think they would retaliate so soon. But when they went down to their common room, horror! Red everywhere, from the floor to the ceiling.
Furniture in red, once dark green sofas, were now velvet red, pillows were even worse, golden, and the carpet was a bright red. And if that wasn't bad enough, the Slytherin emblem on the wall had been tagged over, in red, of course.
A curious first-year approached and read the inscription...
"What are the 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙪𝙧𝙨?"
