Rewatching the scene of the Tea Party in Tea Amidst Terrible Troubles is realizing just how touch starved of physical affection and endearment Neo is.  Every single shot Neo and Roman are together, he’s touching her somehow.

And that’s because Roman is the only one who ever showed her it. Genuinely, without hidden intentions.

Her father physically and emotionally abused her (you can’t convince me that her father grabbing her by the ankles as an 8 years old and shaking her like a ragdoll isn’t physical abuse), her mother’s physical affection was a means to an end, but, Roman?

Roman held her, Roman CAUGHT her. 

Any physical affection he showed her had no intentions other than it is simply what he does (did) to her. He held her because he wanted to, he caressed her because he wanted to. The touches were gentle, reassuring and caring, the only one who ever gave her that.

God, she probably had that illusion of him touch her so much because she didn’t want to forget what Roman’s caress felt like.

Was anyone gonna tell me that Roman Torchwick is swole!!! Like all this time I thought he was some Twink looking beanpole but no! Man wide and beefy! Neo made him his jacket like did she make it nice and tight in all the right places on purpose? Did she see jacketless Roman and was like why hide it! Did she measure him or was all like by eyesight Neo just sitting there watching him and taking notes or something

As a huge gelato/pumpkin spice icecream shipper I couldn’t help but notice some of the hate directed towards the ship in the fandom and I just wanted some explanation as to why people see it as bad? I joined a RWBY discord server that had ship channels and I suggested a gelato channel but they said it won’t be accepted since it’s not great to ship Neo and Roman (While they had a spicecream channel which- no hate- but seems much more of a toxic relationship than gelato).

As far as I’m aware they are both legal adults when volume 2 comes out, so when we meet Neo for the first time so I don’t really understand the whole age gap argument? Also I guess some do see it as more of a brother/sister or parental relationship but personally I think it’s quite bad to interpret it that way since the entirety of Roman Holiday talks about how sick and tired Neo was of authority figures/adults constantly pushing her around so her seeing Roman as a fatherly figure just wouldn’t make sense?

Give me your personal take on this.

Also I respect people who don’t ship it and see them just as good partners and friends but going after those who enjoy them as a ship is just wrong.

Rwby ship names I think could be better

Schneekos (Weiss X Pyrrha) -> Straight A Students

They're the tops of their class! Which is also the canon reason Weiss was interested in Pyrrha in the first place! And I also just prefer ship names that aren't just two names squished together unless there's a good reason for it.

Gelato/Pumpkin Spice Ice Cream (Roman X Neopolitan) -> Romeo

I know I just said I don't want names squished together, but it makes Romeo! That's adorable! And the SEO on RWBY ship names are already abhorrent, especially this one, so might as well at least have a cute name.

Fairgame (Qrow X Clover) -> PEMDAS

Come on, this is just funny. They cancel out! Like PEMDAS!

Rich Farmers (Whitley X Oscar) -> Snowfields

You're telling me rich farmers is the best y'all could do? It's nothing lmao and snowfields isn't much better, it's always confusing that every Schneebling is represented by snow or ice, but it's the best I could do and it's better than rich farmers.
