Similar to my last post, I’m looking at sound waves in music. This time, I made three separate paintings for three different songs from my playlist -
‘Movin’ on up’ - Primal Scream
‘South of Heaven’ - Slayer
‘Would?’ - Alice in Chains
Each song is quite contrasting, so by disrupting the timelapses I filmed, I wanted to create a video of the three songs combined in short clips, to match their visual sound waves.
Each clips gets shorter as the video goes on (from 1.2 seconds per clips, to 0.8 seconds, to 0.6 seconds). I like how disorganised the music becomes, it’s not something you would want to listen to.
I then cut up the sound waves and rearranged them to create a new song.
