people on all sides of the abortion debate saying positive things about adoption.... NO!! Infant adoption is an industry, an industry that is funding anti-abortion campaigns because we are in the middle of what they call a "baby bust" i.e. not enough people are relinquishing their babies for the adoption agencies to make a quick buck selling babies to wealthy Americans. They (both the agencies and the wealthy Americans looking to adopt) want infants to sell and buy on demand, and they think that restricting abortion access (specifically for young people and low-income families, since that is who is more likely to relinquish, and that is who will not have the means to travel to get a safe and legal abortion) will increase the number of people forced to give birth and then to relinquish their newborn baby.
infant adoption is not a "solution" to abortion, it is a lifelong trauma for all parties involved. people who don't want to be pregnant and give birth and seek an abortion are not going to choose relinquishment (coercion is another story...), they are going to be forced to choose unsafe + illegal abortions. Adoption reform and abortion access are separate issues that are unfortunately linked by money, specifically money made by profiting off human suffering, trafficking, and inequality.
(For those curious, what was known as the "baby scoop" era of adoption was before roe v. wade. & that is what the adoption industry wants to go back to!)
edit, because theres an invasive species in my notes: I am trans. if you are gender critical/radfem/terf, you are NOT welcome to interact with me or my posts as you (as per your rhetoric) do not care about the wellbeing of all adoptees or birth parents and thus are not an ally to this community which has trans individuals in every corner. trans men are coerced into relinquishment and face unique challenges when seeking reproductive and prenatal care.
adoption is a trauma regardless of the gender of the people involved. trans youth in foster care, intersex people who didn't realize they could even get pregnant until it's too late to get an abortion, trans women and nonbinary people who are birth parents but didn't find out until after their child had been legally relinquished. Things that impact people of ALL genders. That they are intersectional experiences MATTER.
is the adoption industry heavily marketing towards LGBT+ couples? yes. adoption is a multibillion dollar industry, and they spend a lot of that money pinkwashing infant adoption as something that is morally good and For LGBT+ people. agencies purposefully miseducate prospective adoptive parents to make a sale. Instead of using your energy to spread hate and make fun of trans people who experience trauma due to their body not functioning in a way that feels authentic to them, go after the adoption agencies who pay to hide truths about adoption. Hopefully that political process will expose you to the diversity of the human experience and you will be able to develop the ability to listen to others with compassion and understanding.

2022.10.11 Shinhwa Eric Becomes Free Agent After Parting Away With TOP Media… He Will Be Taking a Break to Help His Wife With Prenatal Care
Tumblr media
Eric (real name Moon Jung-hyuk), actor and member of Shinhwa, has joined the free-agent market.
According to a report by Sports Seoul on October 11th, the exclusive contract between Eric and his agency TOP Media has expired. (Note: Eric signed with TOP Media on January 1st, 2019 and he also replied to a comment that his contract finished end of 2021)
Tumblr media
In this regard, TOP Media said to Sports Seoul, “Our contract period has ended but the company will continue to support his entertainment activities through mutual agreements”.
Eric signed with TOP Media, the agency founded by Shinhwa member Andy, in 2019. Since then, he began to carry out active activities, such as holding a solo fanmeeting, starring in dramas “Eccentric! Chef Moon”, “The Spies Who Loved Me”, etc., and joining entertainment programs “4 Wheeled Restaurant – America”, “The Barber of Seville”, etc.
Tumblr media
As a member of Shinhwa, he also performed in the group’s 21st-anniversary concert “CHAPTER 4”.
In August, his wife – actress Na Hye-mi announced her pregnancy. Announcing the news of pregnancy 5 years after their marriage, the couple received many congratulations. Eric is known to be taking a break to help his wife with prenatal care.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Eric made his debut with Shinhwa in 1998. The group gained huge love after releasing numerous hit songs, such as “Hey You Come on”, “Wedding”, “Perfect Man”, “Brand New”, etc. He then turned to acting and appeared in the drama industry for the first time through “Phoenix” in 2004. Since then, he has taken the male lead role in various popular series, such as “Que Sera, Sera”, “Discovery of Love”, and “Another Miss Oh”.
Sources: Daum + Sports Seoul Translation: KBIZoom
Note: Eric’s contract ended in December 2021.  With the upcoming birth of the couple’s first child and that he’d like to help Hyemi with prenatal care (sweet hubby), it makes sense he stays free agent for now.  One can always have another project this year or next year, but time spending with your wife during pregnancy and to be there for your child’s first few months is precious time that you can’t get back.  💕   Wishing him all the best with a new and better management later.  See you soon!  🤟

weird shit from the lesbian general
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this is what happens when ignorance and antisocial channer lonerism combine
hyenas have "a sex hierarchy prioritizing females"? hmmm
female hyenas also have a "pseudo penis" that leads to their first born cubs being stillborn every time because it has to tear in order for the newborn to pass through.
intense male-male competition usually produces masculinized males AND females because the most aggressive and dominant males are usually the most reproductively successful, thus making those genes more common. this is what probably contributed to the hyenas' pseudo penis.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
human groups where a minority of men have had a historical pattern of monopolizing women, & where older men are prioritized in the "mate market" results not only in dysfunction, as the younger men then opt to have clandestine relationships with women/raping rival villages women but causing masculinization of the population in general to occur over time.
High testosterone levels are widely attested among populations that descend from sub-Saharan agriculturalists. When Ross et al. (1986) studied white and black American students (mean age = 20 yrs), they found mean testosterone levels to be 19% higher in the blacks than in the whites and free testosterone levels 21% higher. In a later study, Ross et al. (1992) found that young East Asian men had intermediate testosterone levels but less 5α-reductase—an enzyme that converts testosterone into the physiologically more active DHT.
more:
Some northern European countries’ population is 80% blonde because their societies had males travel long distances to hunt for food which resulted in an increased amount of deaths and an imbalance in their population, with more females than males, sexual selection acted strongly on females. men overwhelmingly chose mates whose infantile traits persisted beyond puberty, and that includes blonde hair.
Moreover, Kleisner et al. (2010) have found an apparent sex linkage between blue eyes and feminization of face shape. They initially wished to determine whether eye color influences perception of male dominance, using facial pictures of Czech men. The results showed that brown-eyed men were rated as more dominant than blue-eyed men. As a control, the authors repeated the experiment after altering the facial photos of the brown-eyed men to make them blue-eyed. These altered photos were still rated as more dominant.
[...]Blond hair darkens with age more slowly in women than in men (Olivier, 1960, p. 74). A ‘digit ratio’ study indicates that prenatal exposure to estrogen is higher in individuals with blond hair or non-brown eyes (Mather et al., unpublished). The same study, however, found no evidence of sexual dimorphism. Women and men had roughly the same proportions of hair and eye colors among the 18-to-38 year olds under study. Such a dimorphism, if it does exist, may be a transient one limited to younger age groups.
Tumblr media
Careful study of the photos revealed that the brown-eyed men had more masculine facial features:
In contrast with blue-eyed males, brown-eyed males have statistically broader and rather massive chins, broader (laterally prolonged) mouths, larger noses, and eyes that are closer together with larger eyebrows. In contrast, blue-eyed males show smaller and sharper chins, mouths that are laterally narrower, noses smaller, and a greater span between the eyes. (Peter Frost, 2011)
[...]
Rosenberg and Kagan (1987, 1989) investigated the association between eye color and behavioral inhibition, revealing that children with blue eyes are more inhibited. Coplan et al. (1998) found a significant interaction between eye color and social wariness within preschoolers. Blue-eyed males were rated as more socially wary, i.e. being more temperamentally inhibited, displaying more reticent behavior and having more internalizing problems, than males with brown eyes, though there were no differences between blue- and brown-eyed females (Coplan et al., 1998).
[...]
Men’s preference for blonde hair may have gone through a similar runaway selection. As PT Senior Editor Carlin Flora has pointed out to me before, many young blond children cease to be blond and their hair turns dark long before they reach puberty (as Carlin’s did). So by preferring to mate with women with light blonde hair, men are often (maladaptively) attracted to prepubescent children. Their preference for women with large eyes may similarly be maladaptive. But men’s preference for women with neotenous features, and women’s possession of such features, may nonetheless have evolved via runaway selection.

Sincerely I never want to put politics into my social medias. However. I’m tired of just sitting here and pretending not having a political opinion of my own. So please, let me speak while I still have the right to.
- I am pro choice. I am of the opinion that pro choice, in terms of abortion care, is to be your choice whether or not you would have an abortion. If it’s not something that you agree with, or something that is against your religion, that’s your deal, but you cannot tell anyone what to do with their bodies.
- people say they’re pro life but are they really pro life, or pro birth? Do they believe in abolishing the death penalty? What about creating a better mental health system with outlets to directly combat mass shooting? What’s wrong with putting strict regulations on guns and how you obtain them? Are you a vegetarian or vegan? If you support all life, why do we still allow hunting? Why don’t we have a better sexual education? Why is the US health care system so expensive if we should value life?
I can answer all of these questions and more.
1. No they do not believe in abolishing the death penalty because many people see it as justice or bettering the publics safety.
2.&3. Because mental health and guns aren’t the problem with mass shootings. No no. Abortions are some how the issue with this, according to congressman Billy Long. Why restrict guns when we can restrict woman’s bodily autonomy??
Tumblr media
4.&5. because veganism/vegetarianism isn’t the life style you want, right? But aren’t animals a form of life? By that argument you shouldn’t eat plants and animals at all. Because you’re killing a living thing, didn’t you know?
6. “We already have a sexual education curriculum put into place.” Do you remember your sexual education program? What did it teach you? Because I don’t remember it teaching me that I have control of my own sexuality. I don’t remember my education telling me that I’m not the only person to blame. That I’m not the only person responsible.
7. Because that’s not how it works. At least not in such a greedy capitalist country that could not care less about its people. But why, if we are supposed to care so much about the life a human that hasn’t been born yet, do we not care about those of us that are already here and are struggling to take care of ourselves? Greed.
I have and always will say; our current pro lifers, in and out of office, only care about a life up until it’s born.
This is my own opinion and it does not reflect the opinion of anything or anyone associated with me, but I am not ashamed of it. I am not ashamed to speak up for my own bodily autonomy, for my rights and for the rights of everyone else.
They will not stop at Roe v Wade. Judge Clarence Thomas made it abundantly clear that he wishes to challenge Obergefell v Hodge, Lawrence v Texas and even Griswold v Connecticut.
If you don’t this overturn doesn’t affect you, think again. Forcing young girls and young women to become mothers prematurely will force young boys and young men to become fathers prematurely. It paves the way for unsafe and unregulated abortions. On top of all of that, it creates more people to feed, more people to circulate money, and more people into the housing market. More people means more need for housing, which means higher taxes and higher cost of living and higher prices for houses and apartments, as well as more supply chain shortages due to half the population aka anyone with a uterus, having to take off for maternity leaves or any kind of prenatal appointment, and more. Also supply chain shortages and recalls are currently in menstruation products, baby formula, peanut butter and poplar foods that kids like. Is this really the time to be encouraging people to keep children they didn’t want in the first place?
I am going to stop there, and as much as I would like to say I rest my case, I can’t. There are endless arguments and points I could make.
It’s a scary place right now. Please stay safe everyone.
Much love,
Jordan.

Editor's Note: This blog draws from the authors' recent article in The ANNALs of the American Academy of Political and Social Science: “Investing in Latino Children and Youth.”
The recently released 2022 Census statistics reveal two converging facts about the U.S. population: It is aging, and, simultaneously, becoming increasing racially and ethnically diverse. Indeed, according to a Census news release: “Hispanic (of any race) is the largest gaining and second-fastest-growing race or Hispanic origin category, increasing by 767,907 or 1.24% from 2020 to 2021.” These newly released statistics line up with projections beyond 2030 that consistently point to the continual growth of a racially and ethnically pluralistic U.S. population, comprised of Latinx and other non-Hispanic white groups. Based on sheer population size and growth, Hispanic children and youth will shape the U.S. economic and political landscapes for years to come. Policy and legal decisions—ranging from federal legislative efforts such as the Build Back Better Act, the 2021 expanded child tax credit, and the overturning of federal protections such as those under Roe v. Wade—will inevitably have ripple effects on opportunities for Latino children and youth.
How this growing population of young people in the U.S. fares matters for a robust U.S. economy and society. Fortunately, we already know a lot about investing to marshal the strengths of Latino families and children.
Investing early and consistently toward college degree completion improves Latino labor market prospects and social integration
A considerable body of social science research shows that policy approaches, such as broad adoption of prenatal and early education programs within Hispanic communities, linguistically responsive curricula and teaching, and flexible hours that complement (rather than conflict with) parental employment generate long-term payoffs. Approaches such as dual-language programming and bilingual fluency of early care providers, co-location of early education programs in Hispanic-dense communities, and coordinated outreach between the child care subsidy system and Hispanic-serving organizations harness the strengths of Latino families and offset the disadvantages of low economic resources that many Latino children experience.
Investments in public infrastructure (the quality of public schools) and related public goods (e.g., parks and neighborhood safety) in concentrated areas of Latino families and children can reduce inequities in economic opportunity due to residential segregation. Family-school partnerships, addressing within-school and classroom racial/ethnic segregation and schoolwide and teacher discriminatory practices, and promotion of culturally and linguistically adaptive pedagogy can support Latino students’ math and reading achievement assessments that lag behind peers and are predictors of future earnings. The presence of Hispanic-serving institutions and in-state resident tuition benefits for immigrants have positive ripple effects in increasing Latino college degree completion that not only improve labor market prospects and economic security, but also contribute to social integration and intermarriage.
Investing in family social and economic support will enhance an already strong foundation of earnings, health, and parenting among Latino families with children
Latino parents exhibit high-quality nurturing interactions with their children despite many economic and social stressors. Multiple caregivers are involved in Latino children’s rearing. Public policy that moves beyond single-guardian and/or mother-centered targeting of investments can enhance this strong foundation of caregiver support to Latino children and youth and will facilitate better access to support. For example, vital information about family services, after school opportunities, health services, expanded nutrition programs, and tax credits could be communicated to parents and extended family members as a collective family benefit.
Latino children and youth are raised in homes with high rates of family employment, yet many Latino children and youth grow up in poverty. Earnings tend to be a stable source of income but at very low values. Policies that enhance earnings through tax credits or increasing minimum wages will not only increase overall household income but also improve financial stability in ways that support children’s home lives. Labor-market-oriented policies that improve the quality of parents’ physical and mental health (e.g., sick leave, safe work conditions, and predictable work schedules) also favorably spill over to the home environment and the quality of co-parenting.
Economic support provided through safety nets and related policies tend to be lower among income-eligible Latino families as compared to peers. Reducing administrative barriers and simplifying the navigation of publicly available services (e.g., documentation requirements, language translation, and literacy demands) can help with family and young people’s access to safety net programs. Anti-immigrant sentiment and local immigration enforcement actions have also had negative unintended consequences, referred to as “chilling effects,” for Latino children and youth (nearly all of whom are U.S. citizens). Programs, such as the Women, Infant, and Children’s program, that demonstrate higher uptake among Latino families offer useful lessons about ways to increase the receipt of cash supports (including emergency economic supports, such as those available during the pandemic) and that can undermine Latino family uptake of successful anti-poverty policies such as the Earned Income Tax Credit.
Escalated risks to Latino children and families from COVID-19 can be addressed through expanded social safety nets and capitalizing on social connectedness
Latino children and youth tend to reside in resilient families and communities but also have been exceptionally vulnerable to the COVID-19 pandemic. Hispanic children’s high risk of exposure to COVID-19 reflects both the segregation of their households in areas of overcrowded housing that became early COVID-19 “hot spots,” and their parents’ overrepresentation in “essential” jobs (e.g., health care, food preparation, and building maintenance). Poverty and social isolation due to the pandemic also increased adverse consequences to Latino youths’ physical and mental health. Hispanic children’s preexisting conditions, such as asthma, diabetes, and obesity, may have increased their risks of severe COVID-19. Recovery can be aided by the expansion of Medicaid and acceptance of telehealth provision of care, the simplification of social benefits administration (such as the creation of a general portal to receive pandemic stimulus checks that does not hinge on prior or current tax filings), and approaches that capitalize on the social connectedness of Latino communities and families.
Note: Reflecting the fluidity of labels, Hispanic, Latino/a, and Latinx are used across and within articles, often interchangeably.

I can’t believe CNN published this shit. Yes I am glad that her mother’s pregnancy complications were treated and the mother and sister survived BUT just because things worked out for her family doesn’t mean that it will work out for many families when maternal and infant mortality rates are increasing.
Editor’s Note: Franchetta Groves is a senior at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. She is the campus marketing chair of the Network of Enlightened Women, a national organization of conservative college students and a participant in a fellowship program that the group runs. The views expressed here are her own. Read more opinion at CNN.
(CNN)In the coming days, the US Supreme Court could hand down a decision overturning Roe v. Wade, if we are to believe a draft of the decision leaked to the media several weeks back.
Those who want Roe v. Wade to stand believe it provides women with choice and freedom.
Those of us who feel differently, who fervently want to see Roe overturned, also want freedom for women. We just want it for their unborn children as well.
And if you believe, as I do, that life starts at conception, then you also know that all life -- even newly formed life -- has inherent dignity and is worthy of protection.
When news broke last month about the leak of a draft decision overturning Roe, I was elated but remained quiet. Students at the college I attend hold a variety of views about abortion, and I didn't want to say anything that might offend others. I also saw a lot of women on social media expressing despair and outrage at what they say could be a loss of control over their bodies if Roe is overturned.
I'm sympathetic about the distress felt by some in my generation, but I don't share their view. In fact, as a young woman who is an opponent of abortion, I look forward to a post-Roe America. And I know I am in good company. In fact, according to a Gallup Poll this year, 33% of American women are "pro-life."
Based on the angry reactions from people on the abortion-rights side following that leaked draft opinion, I can only conclude that our society has failed women facing unplanned pregnancies.
It seems to me that we've created a culture where women are not equipped with the information and resources they need to make the best decisions for themselves before and during pregnancy -- decisions that would allow them to keep their unborn children. Because they haven't had access to comprehensive and supportive care that women need during pregnancy, many have felt, mistakenly, that abortion was their only option.
That can be different in the world that comes after Roe. Anti-abortion advocates such as myself want to create a more supportive culture for women that would encourage them to reject abortion. When they do, they will perhaps feel not so much that they've given up a right, as they've saved a life.
I've gotten to see firsthand what a more supportive culture can look like. During my senior year of high school, I raised funds for a pregnancy center not far from my hometown in Pennsylvania. I got to learn about how these pregnancy centers truly walk with couples through every step of pregnancy and parenthood.
According to recent news reports, a number of pregnancy centers have come under attackin recent days. That's a shame, because this country will need them more than ever if Roe is overturned.
At the pregnancy center in my community, I learned how women can benefit from comprehensive prenatal care, even when their pregnancy is unplanned. I'm sure that such clinics around the country will do the same thing as more women seek out their services, empowering expectant mothers with the support and the resources they need. And I believe deeply that when women truly realize all the options they have at their disposal, they will choose life.
I'm against abortion for another reason: I've seen in my own family the beauty that can come out of unexpected and unplanned pregnancies.
After severe and almost deadly complications giving birth to me, my mother was told she couldn't have any more children. Then a few years later, she became pregnant again.
My mother faced intense pressure from doctors and family members telling her she should get an abortion. She visited doctor after the doctor who didn't want to take her case out of fear of complications and instead gave her medical advice that abortion was her best option.
I shudder to think what would have happened if my mother had allowed herself to be pressured into ending her pregnancy. Instead, she found a doctor willing to take her on as a patient -- one who honored her wish to keep her baby and helped her overcome the medical challenges she faced.
Every day, I see the outcome of my mother's difficult but wise decision when I see the loving face of my sister Isabella, who is just a few years younger than me. I am eternally grateful that my mother chose life for both of us. My mom's courage is a daily reminder to me that life is beautiful and worthy of protection.
In this country, we've seen the pendulum swing so far from "safe, legal, and rare" abortions to the practice being normalized and even praised as a positive outcome. But abortion is not empowering. My mother's courage and the courage of so many other women -- that is empowering.
As a college senior, I'm looking forward to having a full and rich professional life when I graduate before going on to have a family of my own one day. I want to live in a society where a woman can have her child and pursue her career. That is empowering.
I'd also like to live in a culture that provides effective education so that women can make smart and wise decisions for their sexual health -- have the information they need to avoid potential negative consequences of premature sex. There needs to be better education on the risks of sexually transmitted diseases, unplanned pregnancy and the emotional impacts of sex. That's empowering, too.
I believe that abortion harms women. It allows men to get off consequence-free after having fathered a child and avoid the responsibilities of fatherhood. It undermines the beauty of motherhood and tells women that their children are a hindrance to their dreams and that life is not a blessing.
After Roe, I believe it will be possible for our nation to be one that doesn't cast judgment on women who become pregnant, but one that embraces them with love and compassion. And it must also be one that always protects human life and appreciates the intrinsic value of each being from the moment of conception.
Over the decades, this debate has been characterized by hostility and villainization on both the abortion-rights and anti-abortion sides. Only honest dialogue can help heal a fractured culture that has so painfully betrayed women. We'll need that dialogue once Roe is gone, and the national conversation turns to how we can support those facing crisis pregnancies and their children.
As the future of this country after Roe v. Wade is being decided, I think a lot about how I as an individual should respond -- regardless of the outcome when the high court finally makes its decision.
How can I support the women in my life who may be facing an unexpected pregnancy? How can I engage with those who view the issue differently than myself to engage in productive dialogue so that I can grow and learn how to cultivate a society that better supports women? I hope that the highest Court in the land deciding this issue once and for all will make it possible for me to find answers to these questions.
I am anxiously watching what happens, and hope that the Court will recognize the inherent dignity of all human life, and take steps to protect those in the womb, the most vulnerable in our society.

N.Y. Legislators Approve $237B Budget Addressing Surge Of Migrants, Plans To Jump-Start Housing Market

A $237 billion state budget that includes measures to encourage home construction and combat unauthorized marijuana stores was approved by New York lawmakers over the weekend.
The package addresses a recent surge of immigrants, expedites the closing of some state prisons, and maintains the policy of allowing people to purchase takeout drinks during the pandemic.
The state Senate and Assembly approved a number of budget bills on Saturday. The budget now goes to Governor Kathy Hochul (D-N.Y.), who is anticipated to sign it into law.
Additionally, $2.4 billion has been set aside by state authorities to assist with the large number of immigrants in New York City’s homeless shelters. The funds will be used for the immigrant population’s housing, legal needs, and medical treatment.
Lawmakers also took action in response to the growing number of unauthorized cannabis shops in New York City. The state has found it difficult to close the stores, which have proliferated throughout the Big Apple, due to bureaucratic obstacles.
The budget also contains provisions that would make it easier for local law enforcement to close down establishments suspected of selling marijuana illegally while their legal cases are pending, which would help address the issue. Previously, the state was solely responsible for the majority of enforcement, and these types of establishments could remain open while a drawn-out appeals process took place.
Hochul and leading legislative leaders engaged in private negotiations that centered mostly around a comprehensive plan to stimulate the state’s housing market.
Developers who agree to rent a share of the units in new buildings below the market rate will receive a tax benefit under the plan. Though it was not as extensive as many advocates had hoped, the agreement also contains protections against evictions and unjustified rent increases for some residents.
Governor Hochul made a statement after the budget’s passage, saying:
“In my State of the State, I promised New Yorkers we’d fight to build more housing, improve education and protect public safety — and that’s exactly what our budget is going to do.
“This budget agreement represents the most significant improvement in housing policy in three generations. It includes transformative investments in health care and education that will put our State on the path to fiscal stability. It will end co-pays for insulin, establish first-in-the-nation paid prenatal leave, and launch the EmpireAI consortium. This budget cracks down on retail theft and gives us new tools to shut down illicit cannabis storefronts. It helps the children of New York City by extending mayoral accountability for public schools. And we got it all done without raising income taxes by a single cent.
“I’m grateful to Speaker Heastie, Leader Stewart-Cousins and my colleagues in the Legislature for their collaboration on this agreement, and look forward to continuing to work together.”
During floor debates, State Senate Republican Leader Rob Ortt (R-N.Y.) attacked the proposal, claiming it would attract more illegal migrants to New York.
“We made a lot of tough decisions in this budget,” Ortt said. “But 2.4 billion goes a long way, and I just wonder what that could have done in other parts of the budget for legal New Yorkers.”
Additionally, in an effort to conserve money in light of the state’s decreasing prison population, New York will expedite the closure of up to five state prisons. The governor will decide which jails to close by March of next year. The state’s corrections administration reports that since 2011, the state has closed two dozen prisons due to vacant beds, saving approximately $442 million a year.
The budget also included provisions to allow movie theaters to sell hard liquor, extend the pandemic-era sale of to-go alcoholic drinks, and allow New York City to lower its speed limits. These measures would also provide paid time off during pregnancy.
The state office responsible for drafting laws for the Legislature was affected by a cyberattack, which delayed the budget’s finalization by almost three weeks from its planned deadline of April 1st.
